I'm not your normal human. No, I am much more. I was born October 5th. Now, I know you won't believe me when I tell you the year, but I think you will figure that out once I tell you about myself. Any who, I was born October 5th 1821. My parents thought I was a witch and had me burned in the town square. Sadly for them, it didn't work. My body ate the flames like it was a delicious meal made just for me. My parents are long dead now, but I can still remember their faces when the fresh flames were taken into my body.
I don't feel pain, I can't be poisoned, I stopped aging at 18 and most of all, I can't be killed. Believe me, I've tried and so have my parents. My name is Kanna Lilith. Mind you, I'm not on any record, though it doesn't bother me.
I walked along the streets in the cover of darkness. My eye sight is better at night than during the day. I've tried to research what I am, but that just led me to dead ends every time. Apparently, my kind don't exist. Because of my parents, I can do all sorts of things. I can put my wounds on someone else, control fire, water and earth, I can use my own blood as poison for others. However, I'm not like that. I am a kind hearted girl that many people take advantage of.
"I wonder if I can shape-shift." I thought and giggled right after. "Nah, I highly doubt I could. Only powers I have are what my parents have done to me." I said aloud.
"Hey Girl. What are you doin' out this late eh?"
I turned and smiled brightly. "I'm just looking for something to do." I clasped my hands behind my back.
"I can give you something to do, Girly." This guy sauntered over to me from the wall he was leaning on.
"What could you possibly have for little old me to do?" I asked, tilting my head slightly to my right.
"Come with me and you'll find out." He smiled.
He's just a normal human. No vampire scent nor any wolf scent on him. Just human stink.
I lightly tapped my finger on my chin thinking. "Should I? Should I not? Fuck it. I've lived through so much worse than what you could possibly put me through." I said. He looked at me strangely for a moment but shook his head and reached for my hand.
"Stop! Don't touch her!" A man who looked to be in his early 20's yelled as he ran toward us.
The man I was talking to ran off quickly down the ally he was going to take me into. I looked at the young man and scowled. "What was that for? I was just about to finally have something to do tonight." I said.
"Are you crazy?! He could have raped you! Or worse killed you!" He yelled. I rolled my eyes and turned to walk away when he grabbed my hand. His hands were very rough like working hands. When he touched my hand, bells and whistles rang off at an annoying volume in my head. I looked at him and saw his eyes were black. I pulled my hand away quickly. "Wolf." I whispered.
He looked at me stunned. "How do you know what I am?" He asked.
"Your eyes turn black the moment you find your mate or when your angry or when your wolf is trying to take over." I stated. "Plus, you smell like a wolf."
He stared at me. "I must take you with me. You are my mate. My father would like to meet you." He said, his eyes slowly returning to their ice blue color.
"No. I am not a wolf, I can't come with you. Your Alpha will have me killed the moment I step onto your lands."
"You won't. I am the next in line to be Alpha after my father. If I tell them that you are my mate, they won't dare hurt you. You are their future Luna." He growled. I stepped back. This shouldn't be happening. No. It's not happening. I'm just sleeping and I need to wake up. I pinched my arm hard with my nails to draw blood. He noticed and stopped me. "Stop that! You're bleeding." He said, leaning down to lick my wound closed. I gasped and ripped my arm from him.
"Don't!" I yelled.
"But you're bleeding."
"I do not want to be responsible for killing you over a small cut like this. I am fine."
He looked at me strangely. "What do you mean by that?" He tilted his head, curiosity getting to him.
"I-- I can't tell you." I turned my head away, feeling like I should tell him, but I'm too afraid. Yes, I'm afraid. Someone who has no fear about going off with small time criminals, is afraid to tell her mate about herself.
"You can tell me anything. You are my mate. Moon knows that we are meant to be together and tell each other everything." He stepped closer to me.
"I can't tell him! I can't tell anyone about who or whatever I am! They may try to kill me again!" I thought. He lightly put his index finger under my chin, making me look up at him."You can trust me." He said softly. "I, Alexander Williams, future Alpha of Nightmoon pack, accept you as my mate." His eyes were soft as he said those words.
"I, Kanna Lilith, an unknown creature, accept you as my mate." I said without thinking, unable to look away from his soft eyes.
He bent down and lightly kissed me cheek. Tingles spread through my body from my cheek. "That was weird." I thought. Alexander smiled at me before stripping his clothes off. I turned away quickly as my cheeks burned hot. The sound of ripping flesh and breaking bones rang through to quiet street. I turned at the sound and found not a man, but a huge pitch black wolf standing in front of me. I blinked a few times to make sure I wasn't seeing things, but I wasn't.
I was standing looking straight ahead, looking right into the eyes of this huge wolf. "Get on." His voice sounded in my head. I looked at him shocked. "Mate bond." He said, knowing what I was going to say. "Oh." Was all I said. Was all I could say. Alexander stepped closer to me, I stepped back slightly. "Are you afraid of me?" He asked.
"No! Not at all." I lied. I was terrified of him!
"I can smell your fear, my love. There is no need for you to be afraid. I will never hurt you."
I looked at him for a moment, then slowly raised my trembling hand to brush it over his fur. It was very soft. He stood there, knowing that if he moved, I would jump and run away. I've seen werewolves before, but not this close. Always from a great distance. I could feel the warmth coming from under all his thick fur, so I pushed my fingers deeper into his fur. He was so warm that I stepped closer to him just to feel his soft fur on my skin. "Will you come home with me, my love?" He said.
I jumped at his voice in my head. I knew I shouldn't, but saying no felt so wrong. I don't understand what is happening at all. I stepped back and smiled sofly. "I will." I looked over at his clothes laying on the sidewalk. "What about your clothes?"
"I have more. I don't usually strip, just shift and shred my clothes." He said. I could hear the smile in his voice. I giggled and stepped closer to him, putting my fingers in his fur again. "Do you like my fur that much, my love?" He asked. I blushed and nodded.
"I do. It's very soft."
He laughed. "I guess it's a good thing that I don't really like my human form." I giggled. "Now, climb up. I'll take you to my home." Alexander lowered himself to the ground, but I backed away shaking my head.
"You don't have to carry me. I can walk on my own. You can't live too far if you are out here on your own."
"No, I do live far from here. Moon Goddess has told me to travel to this city in search of something that I would know when I found it. I believe strongly that I have found what I am looking for. Please, allow me the honor of carrying you on my back."
I sighed at him, but smiled and climbed up on his back. "Please tell me if I am too heavy or if I am pulling your fur. I don't want to hurt you."
He burst into laughter. "You heavy? Not a chance." He stood up quickly, forcing me to hold his fur tightly. So I didn't fall off. "You feel like a feather, my love."
I blushed lightly, knowing that I squealed when he got up. "Still." I bit my bottom lip lightly.
He growled lightly, noticing that I was biting my lip. "Down boy! I may be from the 1820's, but I'm still a virgin."
He froze in place. "Say what? 1820's did you say?"
"Yes. I told you, I am an unknown creature. I was born October 5th, 1821." I said as he began to walk east.
"Hmm... That makes you how old?"
"I lost count after the first 100 years." I blushed.
He remained quiet for a while. I was afraid that he was going to reject me after hearing that I am hundreds of years old. "I hope he doesn't." I thought. This was the first time I have ever felt something like this. Not even being burnt alive gave me tingles. I felt no pain from fire.
We were in a very dark forest with literally no sound other than Alexanders paws hitting the ground. "Hey Kanna?" His voice in my head made me jump and fall off him. I landed on my butt with a thud. "Ouch!"
"Are you okay?"
"Yes. I actually don't feel pain. I just learned to make it a habit of saying 'ouch' when I'm supposed to feel pain." I smiled, brushing the dirt off my shorts and legs.
"You really can't feel pain?"
"Nope. Not at all. Here," I looked around, but I didn't find anything sharp enough. " Open your mouth. Nice and wide."
He tilted his head, but he did as I asked him to. I stuck my arm in his mouth. "Now, bite like you are breaking someones neck."
"What?! No!" He yelled, pulling away from me.
"Trust me." I said, putting my arm back in his mouth.
He closed his eyes and whimpered, but bit down hard, snapping all my bones in my arm. He let go as soon as my arm went limp in his mouth and looked at me, but I shook my head and held up the arm he snapped. It was healing rapidly. Faster than a werewolf or a vampire could heal. "You really didn't feel any pain?"
I giggled. "No. Not even a little pinch. Now come here before I end up killing you." I said. I pulled my shirt off and cleaned my blood out of his mouth quickly. Once I dropped my shirt on the ground, Alexander and I watched as my blood ate my shirt away like acid on metal. "That's why I stopped you in the city." I looked at him.
He looked at me, shock clear in his eyes. "That's one fuck of a power you have there, my love."
I blushed lightly, but then stopped due to the memories that came back to me. I shook my head clear and looked at him. He looked like he saw something in my eyes, but didn't ask any questions, just lowered himself to the ground again so that I could get back on.
"What was it that you were going to say before I fell?" I asked.
He laughed. It sounded like he was embarrassed. "I uh-- I don't remember."
I burst into laughter. "I'm sorry. That was funny, because that happens to me a whole lot." I wiped my tears away. I could have sworn I saw a grin on his snout.
"What other things can you do?"
"I can do a lot. I don't think we have enough time for me to tell you everything. Well, I do but you on the other hand, don't."
"Try me."
I smirked. "What are you immortal too?"
"Oh Goddess, no. I'm only 22."
"Well than, you have enough time for me to tell you a little bit. However, you must promise me not to tell a single soul and you must promise that you will not, for a single second, pity me in any way."
He hesitated for a few moments. "Fine."
"Well, as you know, I was born in the 1820's. I grew like any normal girl should. Did chores in the house like any normal girl should for that timeline. When I turned 18, I felt something different about myself, but I couldn't figure it out. So I lived normally. Five years down the road, I wasn't aging and my parents began to believe that I was a witch. They brought me to the church where they accused me of being a witch. The church took the word for my parents and attempted to burn me alive in the town square. That didn't work. My body just ate the flames like it was a meal. After that, I was able to control fire and create it whenever I wanted to. My days after that, were spent locked in the basement and my parents began to inject me with all sorts of poisons. That only served to make my blood poisonous to others and objects. One day, I heard my father tell my mother that he was going to take me to the lake and drown me. He did so under the cover of darkness. They didn't want to be seen with me, in fear that they may be killed for being witches too. He took me to the lake and tied ropes to heavy stones and the other end to my ankles and wrists. As you can see, I'm alive. I was able to control earth and water at the same time because of that. At that time, I was able to feel pain, but when I came back home later that night, I was stabbed, chained, beaten and bruised to the point I was no longer able to feel pain. Due to metal being from the earth, I was able to break them using my powers. I left after I knew they no longer accepted me as their daughter. I never changed my name and I lived off the earth and whatever I could find and clean for clothing, is what I wore. Years had passed like that. I didn't know my parents had another child nor do I know if that child is like me or that child was normal. Anyways, I kept living on my own, only approaching humans when I needed to. More years passed. I made friends with a witch girl. One day I decided to ask her if she could help me find out what I was and why I had these powers when I was born to ordinary humans. It isn't possible that I was born this way is what she said to me. She thought that a witch cursed me so, when she checked, she found that there was no curse at all. Just the fact that I was born like this and that I had much more potential to evolve passed what I was at back then. Sadly, during a war of the Moon Goddess's children broke out and she was called to help her people as she was the strongest witch they had ever seen, she was killed. A vampire hybrid bested her in magic and killed her. I cried over her grave for days. Only when her coven elder came to me, did I leave her grave. The elder questioned me. There were so many questions that I couldn't answer, all because I don't know what I am. The elder performed spells on me to reveal my family history, but that didn't turn out well for them. It only showed my parents, whom were humans. They tried to test my blood to find anything familiar with other night creatures, again, nothing. Not even today's findings have told me what I am. Any who, the elders didn't know if they could trust me or not, so they asked me to leave under the cover of darkness and never return. I spent many years wandering the earth. Going where ever I wanted. Doing whatever I pleased. I tried drinking, but it had no affect on me. I've tried drugs, it had no affect on me. I've tried to kill myself many times in my years, but all ended the same. Me living. I began to give up on finding the answers I was looking for about a week ago. I decided that last night was a good night to go out for a breather and find something fun to do. That man that I was going to go with wasn't going to harm me, I knew what he wanted and I wasn't going to give it to him. Scarring people is something I find fun by the way. Alas, you Mr. Williams, stepped in and made him run away. Now I have a mate and he is taking me home. Also, I am very surprised that you are still alive after all that for a life story. It's quite a boring one I might add." I explained.
He remained silent for a long time. Taking in everything I said. "You parents were assholes." He said.
"I know, but whatever. I'm alive and that's all that matters right?"
"Yes but, why put you through all that when they should have just accepted you as you are for what you are? I mean, my mom is a human and my dad is a werewolf. Mom still loves me for what I am. Same as she still loves my dad for what he is."
"Different times, love. Different times."
"Still!" He growled.
"Still nothing. I'm alive and and now I am your mate. You should be happy. Not getting mad over something that happened hundreds of years ago."
He huffed and kept walking, growling every now and then. I leaned forward, pressing myself close to his body. I was now getting very tired and cold. I shivered as a cool breeze blew through the forest. "Are you cold?" Alexander asked.
I nodded a little bit against his back. He suddenly changed directions and walked toward what looked like a mountain side. As good as my eye sight is in the dark, I was too tired to keep my eyes open and fell asleep on his back.
I woke slowly to soft snores and a very soft blanket. "When did I fall asleep?" I thought. I slowly opened my eyes and the bright sun went right into my eyes. "Ugh." I groaned. I tried to move, but I couldn't. I looked around and saw that I was not under a blanket, but under a huge black wolf! I started squirming at first, but then last night came back to me. This was Alexander, my mate. Mind you, this was still very embarrassing and I had no clue as to were I was at this moment. All I knew was that my back was on something hard and very cold. "Alexander. You need to get up." I whispered.
He growled lightly, but didn't wake up. "Alexander, I need to pee." I said a bit louder. He didn't move at all. I sighed. "Okay." I took a deep breath in, "ALEXANDER!!" I screamed as loud as I could. He jumped five feet in the air and landed a few feet away from me ready to attack. "Thank you!" I said as I ran out of the cave and behind a big tree.
"What was scaring me for?" He asked
"For not waking up the first two times I tired." I said.
"Doesn't mean you need to scare the fuck out of me!" He growled.
"I needed to pee." I walked out from behind the tree fixing my shorts.
He huffed and lowered himself to the ground for me to get on. "Most don't get away with scaring us like that." He growled.
I stopped in my tracks and stepped back from him. "You aren't Alexander."
"Good eye. I'm his wolf."
"Your name?" I stepped back again.
"Ladies first."
I hesitated for only a second. "Kanna. Kanna Lilith."
"Kanna Lilith, I am Vince. Alex's wolf half."
"Pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise. Now get on. I don't have all day, Mate." He growled that last word.
I furrowed my brow. "Something wrong, wolf?" He growled, stepping closer to me. I stood my ground and straightened my spine. "I'll say it again. Something wrong, wolf?"
"I don't want a mate that doesn't know what she is. Not someone like you either. Don't expect me to be nice to you. I am different from Alex. He's the one that wants a mate, not me. I don't need that weakness." He growled.
I felt my anger rising. "You be careful of what you say wolf."
He growled again, harsher this time. A true growl from an Alpha. I didn't keep my temper down at all as he felt the ground start to tremble. "Stop! Kanna! It's me now! Alexander!" He said. I took a deep breath to calm myself down when I noticed his eyes were no longer black, but ice blue again. "What did he say to you to make you so upset?" I stayed quiet and turned to walk away. I have no clue as to where I was going, but I wasn't going to be around either of them any longer. I was hurt by Vince's words and I just couldn't look at them without getting more upset. I was dead set on going back to my home and my job."Kanna! Wait!" Alexander yelled.
"Why!? Your wolf doesn't want a mate like me! So I'll just take that as a rejection and go home!"
"No! Please!" I felt his hands come around my waist, pulling me close to his naked body. "Please. Don't leave me. He doesn't mean it."
"How do you know that? " I looked up at him, not fully turning around.
He hesitated for a moment, but sighed and put his head down on my shoulder. "You are my second chance. The Moon Goddess decided that after my first mate rejected me, for you to be my mate. I've spent 6 years looking for you. I was about to give up, when Vince told me that he smelled something. He said that you smell like roses and lilacs. He is just trying to protect himself and I from a second rejection."
I sighed and leaned into Alexander's chest. "Only if he apologizes."
I felt his arms get tighter around me. "I don't do apologies." He growled in my ear.
"Then I will go home."
"No you won't. You won't hurt Alex."
"Who knows. I might. I don't feel the mate pull like you do."
"How do you know so much about werewolves?" He growled as he spun me to face him.
I looked up at him in the eyes. "October 5th 1821."
He narrowed his eyes at me. "What is that date for?" I kept looking at him. Waiting for him to figure it out or ask Alexander. "Tell me now, Mate." He growled. I stayed quiet, staring at him. I was doing the best I could to keep myself calm and not cause a volcano to pop up in the middle of this forest. His eyes clouded over. I knew he was asking Alexander what that date was for. He growled harshly. "Alex won't tell me unless I apologize to you."
"Then do so. I'm very kind hearted you know." I stated.
He growled and turned away, pacing back and forth. He mumbled something that I couldn't hear, but turned back to me looking me right in the eye. "Fine. I apologize." He growled. I accepted it, but I wanted to play with him a little.
"That growl says different."
"Don't push it woman! Do you accept my apology?"
"Only without that growl wolf."
He growled again. This time, I held up my hand in front of his face. "I said without the growl."
He clenched his jaw. I could see that he was getting angry. I pointed my finger down to the ground and he raised his eyebrow. "What does that mean?"
I gave him this one. "On your knees." I said. He narrowed his eyes at me, but did as I said and got on his knees in front of me. I clasped my hands behind my back and waited.
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, never looking away from my eyes. "I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings, Miss Lilith. Please forgive me for the past has made it difficult to love or trust anyone."
I smiled and stepped closer to him, hugging him. "I accept." I kissed the top of his head lightly. Even though he was on his knees, his head was placed on my chest. I knew that he could feel how hard my heart was beating.
"Your heart. Why is it beating for hard?" He asked
"I wonder why." I laughed stepping away, and indicated his naked body. He looked down at it and shrugged.
"It's a wolf thing." Was all he said. I smiled and shook my head. When he stood up and returned Alexander to me, my stomach growled, quite loudly might I add. He looked at me in surprise. "Are you hungry?" He asked.
I nodded, my cheeks turning pink form embarrassment. He laughed and shifted. "Get on. About an hour run from here to my pack." He lowered himself to the ground once again. I climbed on and leaned forward to prepare myself for his mad dash, but he didn't. He gradually picked up speed until his legs could go no faster. He was right, it was about an hour before we reached the border. I got frightened as he got closer to it. I felt my fear rising and I couldn't handle it. I jumped off his back just before he crossed the border. He stopped and turned around, confusion written all over his furry face and in his eyes. "What's the matter?" He asked, through our mate bond. I took a step back looking down at the ground. "Are you afraid?"
"I am, my love. I have never been inside a werewolf's territory before. I've always avoided them. The borders give me goosebumps when I get too close and I feel fear like I've never felt before." I answered honestly. He could see all over my face that I was telling him the truth and he walked up to me. I hugged him and gripped my fingers into his thick fur.
"You are safe, beautiful. There is nothing to fear. You are my mate and you are meant to be here with me." He said, using his head to push me into his chest more.
"But that doesn't stop the fact that I can still feel the goose bumps spreading all over my body. That doesn't stop the fear I feel when I get close to the borders. How could I possibly walk in there without fear of being rejected or attacked over and over again. I can't be killed. You saw this. My blood can kill people and destroy objects in a matter of seconds. I hate hurting people or animals. I can't even kill a bug." I didn't realize that I was crying until my breath became heavy and ragged. He used his paw to pull my closer as he sat down.
"Shh. It's okay. You will be alright. I will be here to always protect you. I promise." His soothing words helped me calm down enough to wipe my tears away and calm my breathing. "Are you calm now, beautiful?" He asked. I took a deep breath and nodded.
"I think so." I said. He lowered himself down again and I climbed up holding his fur tightly as he slowly walked closer to the border. "I can do this. I cant do this." I whispered to myself. He stopped just in front of the border and looked up at me, asking if I was ready to cross. I closed my eyes and nodded. I felt him step forward and cross the border. I shivered and leaned forward, burying my face in his fur. It did feel better after I was in the territory, but I wasn't ready to remove my face from his fur yet.
"Are you okay now?" He asked. I nodded a little bit. I didn't want to trust my voice yet. I heard more growls from all around.
"Patrol." I thought. I turned my head slightly to see how many there were. 4. No. There are 7. 3 on each side and 1 in the front. "Alexander." I whispered. His ear twitched, but he didn't answer. "Why are there so many, Alexander?" I whispered.
"Please be quiet. Father is talking to us." Growled Vince. I remained quiet and buried my face in his fur again. I felt a cold nose on my leg. I looked over quickly to find a red wolf sniffing me. The wolf caught me looking. I expected to be growled at, but no. The wolf wagged its tail and gave me a wolfish grin. We stopped in front of a huge house. I couldn't tell if it was the main house or the pack house. This was intimidating. I felt my fear rising greatly.
"I'm going to die." I thought. "Oh wait. I can't die." I was shaking. "Vince. I'm scared." I whispered. He didn't respond, but I saw his ear twitch. The door opened and a man and woman stood in the doorway.
"What is this Alexander?" He said as he crossed his arms over his chest. He was a big man. His muscles showed through his shirt. He had to same black hair as Alexander, but his eyes were brown.
"Alex, my son. Who is that on your back?" The woman next to the man said. She had light golden brown hair with ice blue eyes. She was beautiful. Her small figure made her look like child next to the man beside her. I knew who they were the moment I saw the wolves that walked us here, lower their heads to them. They are the Alpha and Luna. I felt my eyes widen and not even a second later, I slipped off Alexander's back and knelt down in front of them.
"Alpha, Luna. I am Kanna Lilith." I said, keeping my eyes on the ground and my head bowed.
"She is my mate. Moon Goddess gave me a second chance after what my first mate did. Mother, Father, please accept her into our pack." Alexander said. I felt his hand on my shoulder.
"Son, fetch yourself some clothing." His father said. I was shaking and I knew everyone could see that I was.
"She's too thin." I felt small hands grab my shoulders. "Come darling, let's get you some food then we can talk more. Poor thing is shaking in fear. Dearest husband, please control your aura. You are scaring the poor girl." She helped me to my feet, but I kept my eyes on the ground and my head low. I was not about to have my head bitten off for simply looking up. Sitting in the kitchen with a massive amount of food in front of me, I picked at what I liked to eat. Which, wasn't much might I add. "Eat darling. You are much too thin for someone of your age." She said.
"How old do you think I am?" I regretted it the moment it left my lips. But all she did was laugh.
"Much older than anyone in this pack. By more years than I care to count." Luna smiled at me, giving me a wink.
I sat there with my jaw on the floor. "How-- How do you know?" I asked in almost a whisper.
"I can tell. You bowed properly in front of my husband and I like the olden days. I believe the way you bowed, was somewhere in the 1900's."
"1964 was when that bow was required." I said without thinking. " Oh! I'm so sorry! I wasn't thinking. Please forgive me and my lack of thinking!"
She laughed again. "It isn't a problem, darling. I'm a human. Being spoken to like that isn't an issue. Mind you, never speak like that to my husband Luke. He's old like that. Respect about everything." I nodded picking at some fruit on the table. "Do you not like food much?" She suddenly asked.
"I'm sorry Luna. I prefer to feed off of the wild fruits and herbs. That's how I've lived for many, many years."
"Aren't you afraid of being poisoned by them?" She looked at me strangely.
I shook my head and smiled lightly. "I have ingested many poisons in my life. It just makes my blood more poisonous."
"Poisonous blood? Are you telling me that you are a creature from the legends?"
"No. I am not. I have no idea as to what I am." I looked down at my hands.
"What else can you do?"
"I control fire, water and earth. I cannot be killed nor can I die naturally. My blood is poisonous and I cannot feel pain. Those are the ones I know about. I am too afraid to venture deeper into what I could do."
"How well is your healing?"
"Almost instantaneous." I picked up a knife and cut my whole hand off. Luna watched as my hand steamed away, burning the table and a new hand grew back before the old one disappeared.
"Oh wow. It's like it never happened." She grabbed my hand looking it over.
"Laurel, please refrain from your curiosity." Alpha Luke said, walking into the kitchen.
"But Hunny! Her hand grew back before the other one finished decaying! That is absolutely astounding and I must figure out what she is!"
"Laurel, please." She sighed and went back to her seat.
"Miss Lilith, do you have any clue as to what you are?" Alpha Luke asked.
"No Alpha. I do not." I looked down at my feet.
"No child. Don't look down for not knowing. For all we know, you could be something the Moon Goddess made. The only way to know is to ask her. Alexander, please take her to the showers and then to the Moon Goddess' temple."
"Yes Father." Alexander came to me and held out his hand for me to take. Without hesitation, I took it and he led me to a large room. "We don't have single bathrooms. The she-wolves share a bath house and the same with the he-wolves. This is for the she-wolves. Use whatever you want in there. Mother will be in shortly." He turned and left me alone in front of the door.
"Oh Goddess. Please don't let there be anyone in here." I thought. I took a breath and pushed open the door, and to my dismay, the room was filled with naked girls. I halted and turned back around to leave, but bumped into the Luna. "Oh Luna, I am so sorry. Are you hurt?" I asked.
She smiled and hook her head. "No darling. I am fine. We must bathe before going to the temple. Come."
"I'm sorry Luna. I cannot. Please let me go to a river."
"There is no need to be shy. Come join us." A girl said, pulling on my hand.
"Please no. I cannot." I insisted, as Luna pushed on my back making me go forward. I stood there as Luna removed her clothing. I felt extremely uncomfortable and awkward around all these naked girls. I'm used to bathing in a river or lake where no one would see how many scars I actually had.
"Take off your clothes Kanna." Luna said.
"Please Luna, I beg you. Let me bathe in a river or lake. I'm not used to stuff like this." I begged her.
"No dear. Strip and bathe here." She stepped closer and reached for me. Fear rose inside me. I was going to lose control of my powers. I stepped back but I didn't get far. My back was pressed against the wall.
"Please.." I begged again. Luna grabbed my shirt and began to remove it. "Please Luna. The more I fear, the more I will lose control of my powers." She stopped, and looked into my eyes. As if she was looking for something. I knew my fear was clear in my eyes and all over my face. I was trembling and I was losing control. It seems she didn't find what she was looking for and returned to removing my clothes. I lost control as some of my scars were shown. The ground began to shake as fire and water surrounded my body. I began to cry as I heard gasps and screams. I quickly left running into the forest. The tears didn't stop. I kept running even after I had left the territory. I jumped over a fallen tree when I felt my bones beginning to snap and reform. I stopped and looked down at myself to see that I was now standing on four pure white paws. I tried to scream, but it only came out as a howl. "What am I!" I thought. I hear a stick snap behind me. I didn't take the time to find out what it was. I just ran. Ran as fast as my legs could take me. My heart was pounding. I was beginning to tire. "I can't keep running." I thought.
"Then stop!" Alexander replied. I froze. "Please stop Kanna."
I turned and saw his wolf form coming closer, but slowly. "No stop. Stay away. I am not calm and I do not wish to hurt you."
"You won't. I know you won't."
"But I almost hurt all the girls and your mother!" I cried.
"She's fine. Along with all the girls. They are all fine. You just gave them a fright. Please tell me what happened."
"I don't bathe with anyone. I keep my body hidden so that no one sees my scars. I felt afraid of the judgement that I would get if they saw. I kept begging that I go to a river or lake to wash, but your mother didn't listen and kept attempting to remove my clothes. I felt one of my scars be shown and I lost control. I covered myself with flames and water to hide and I ran away." I looked down as the ground.
"Shift back. I'll take you to a river. Then I'll explain it to my mother later."
I shook my head. "My clothes are gone. I will be naked if I shift now. Plus I don't even know how I shifted to this form to begin with."
"You must have werewolf blood in your family somewhere." He turned and walked west. I followed him.
"I don't have any family left to ask." I said.
"You might. Who were your grandparents?"
"I don't have any. At least not that I ever met. It was always my mother, my father and I. When ,I left, I heard that they had another child, but I don't know if that child was like me or not. I was never around nor did I want to be." I said.
"Well, we will just have to ask the Moon Goddess." He stopped at a river. I was very clear and cool on my skin.
"Bathe. I will keep watch for rogues."
"How do I shift back?" I asked, but he didn't answer. He had already closed the link. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"Think human." A bell like voice sounded in my mind.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Your wolf." She said. Her voice was very sweet and kind. "Now think human." I thought about my human body down to every last detail. Soon enough I was standing on two feet naked on the river bank.
"Why do I have you? I'm not a werewolf."
"You are, but not at the same time."
"What do you mean?" I asked her. I was very confused. I stepped into the river. It was quite cold, but it was also very relaxing.
"I was born with you. I just wasn't able to talk to you until Moon Goddess allowed me to. She has a very big plan for us. She said that we are her favorite and she hopes that we get through what is to come."
"What is your name?" I asked, laying back to float in the cold water.
"I am Scarlet. I know a weird name for a pure white wolf." She laughed. I couldn't help but laugh with her.
"So what else you you know about us?" I asked, rubbing my skin clean.
"A lot, but a lot I can't tell you yet. Moon Goddess has asked me to wait for certain times before telling you things."
"What has she allowed you to tell me right now?" I was getting more curious by the minute.
"Well, I can tell you that we have the blood of many of the Moon Goddess's children in our veins. I can tell you that we are the only one of our kind. As you know, we were born to human parents, but we are not human. I can't tell you much more though. You have to meet her yourself if you want more answers."
I nodded.
"Okay. Are you about to tell me what other powers we might have?"
"No. Sorry." She said. I left the water feeling clean.
"Alexander!" I called out, but there wasn't a reply. "Oh please don't tell me he got hurt." I said.
"No. I would know if he got hurt. He will be here in a moment. I can feel him getting closer to us." Scarlet said. I looked around and listened. I heard a bush move and I stepped behind a tree.
"Kanna? Where are you?" Alexander asked.
"Hiding." I responded as I peeked around the tree.
"I brought clothing for you. I have no clue as to what size you are but you look to be about my moms size so I brought an outfit of my moms for now."
"Leave them by that bush in front of you then turn around." He did as I requested, placing the clothes by the bush. I sneaked out and quickly grabbed them. Once I was dressed, I stepped out from behind the tree. "Your mother has terrible taste in clothing." I blurted without thinking.
He turned and laughed. "I know. That's the best looking stuff she has. She prefers to keep her body covered and look old." I couldn't help but giggle. He was so honest and he didn't mind that I speak without thinking.
He held out his hand and I took it. Our walk back to the house was quiet, but not awkward at all. I was very calm as I listened to the songs of the birds. Most would say they were annoying, but I liked them. They sang with their hearts and didn't judge. They are timid creatures, but once you earned their trust, they would always come back to you. I stopped and looked up at a nest of blue jays. The male was flying back and forth to feed the babies. I wanted to look at them, and the earth listened to my wish. The ground lifted me up to look in the nest. Three little babies and an injured mother.
"Oh Mama.. You poor thing." I whispered. The male came and landed on the side of the nest. He looked tired. "Poor family. Papa, you must be so tired. Will you let me take you all home with me?" I whispered and lightly touched him. He chirped happily. I moved over to one of the babies, They were under weight because Mama was hurt. "Earth, I need a nest strong enough to be carried with this whole family." I said. Trees groaned and twigs snapped. I used one of my claws to cut my long hair short for the nest. Alexander was pacing and growling below me.
I moved Mama first into the new nest then one by one, I moved each baby over. Papa sat on my shoulder as the earth lowered me down to Alexander. "What happened? You were down here one second then the next you were up there. What is that? What happened to your hair?" I giggled and Papa snuggled into my neck.
"I'm kind hearted silly. Mama is hurt and the babies are under weight and Papa is very tired. He can't do it himself." I held my hand out near my neck and the bird jumped into my hand. "Just a little kindness and a soft voice earns you the trust of any creature." I held my hand out to Alexander. He looked at the bird then at me. I gave him a smile and a light nod, but his eyes went black.
"You expect us to touch that nasty Sun Goddess creature?" Vince asked.
"He won't hurt you unless you attempt to hurt his mate or his babies. Just like werewolves." He scoffed and the bird chirped at him. Vince growled at the bird and I pulled the bird away. "That was very rude of you Vince." I growled, protecting the birds. He huffed and turned to walk away. "Rude." I said, loud enough for him to hear me. However, he didn't respond. I followed him hack to the house.
Once we were back to the house, he turned to face me before entering the house. "It's not coming into this house."
"I won't be letting got until they are ready to go." I retorted.
He growled, but I stood my ground and growled back. "I will kill the damn beasts if you bring them into this house!" He yelled.
I scoffed and pushed passed him into the house. "Touch them and I'll kill you myself." I growled.
"Kanna! Alexander! There you are! Oh dear Goddess. Those clothes do not look good on you darling." Luna said.
"Thank Alexander for that. He brought them to me." I grumbled.
"Vince, bring back Alexander so I can scold him for putting Kanna in these clothes of mine." She said. His eye immediately turned back to ice blue.
"Mom?" He asked.
"Yes dear. I know you may not know, but I do have better clothing secretly stored away. If she needed clothing, you could have just asked. These clothes don't suit her one single bit! So, as my motherly duty, I must dress her properly and scold you for putting her in those." I couldn't help but giggle. Nor stop thinking about this 'motherly duty' she was talking about. She couldn't possibly think that she was going to mother me was she? I haven't had a mother since I was 25 years old. That, was a very long time ago.
"Umm-- I can get my own clothing." I spoke quietly. They both looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
"Do you have a job, darling?"
"Well-- no-- but-- I mean, I have clothing back home."
"Might I ask if you did have a job?" Luna asked.
"No I don't. Never have."
"Than where did you buy your clothing?" Alexander asked.
"I didn't. And before you even think about thinking that I stole them, I didn't. I asked the earth to bring me loose animal fur and plants. I know how to make my own clothing." I said.
"Show me." Alpha Luke spoke up behind me. I jumped, clearly not using my senses to know my surroundings. I walked out of the front door and gently placed the nest I was holding down on the grass.
"Earth, could you please bring me some worms for these wee little babies here and some thicker sticks that will help me bandage Mama's broken wing?" Worms wriggled their way out of the dirt and I picked them up, Letting Papa do what needs to be done to feed his babies. Not too long after the worms showed up, a small stick came to me along with a ivy vine. "Thank you earth." I said as I wrapped up Mama's broken wing for it to heal. I smiled once I was done and turned back to the Alpha and Luna. "You wanted to see me ask the earth for supplies yes?" I asked. Luna nodded and Alpha Luke and Alexander crossed their arms on the chests. I knelt down to the ground, feeling the grass in my fingers. Sadly, I could not find what I was looking for.
"What are you looking for?" Luna asked.
"I'm looking for a pebble, two malted feathers one white and one blue, and loose animal fur. I would have guess with this being a werewolf den, there would be at the very least loose fur around but, there seems not to be any." I sighed. "Earth, I am so sorry to ask so much of you today.. Please, could you bring me what I seek?" I asked. Papa chirped and brought me a blue feather. I gave him a smile and a little pet on his back. I saw a white feather being pinned down by a pebble, I quickly grabbed it when Alpha Luke suddenly shifted and began scratching at his fur making strands come loose. "Thank you Alpha." I placed the items in front of me and held my hands over them. The items began to tremble and pull closer to each other. I held an image in my mind. When I opened my eyes again, Luna and Alexander's jaws were on the ground. I did a spin as my new dress puffed out around me. I was now wearing a dress that went from white and increased to blue. It stopped just passed my knees with only one strap on my shoulder. On the strap was a beautiful blue crystal.
"I believe I have now just shown you that I do indeed, make my own clothing." I said with a smile.
"I think she should become a designer. I'd gladly wear what she makes!" A female said. I didn't realize that I have more of an audience than I knew about. I blushed.
"Papa!" I called and the little blue jay came to me happily. I would use him temporarily are a support. I knew
that him and his family will go back to their old nest, but that would be after Mama was all healed and ready to fly again. Gasps where heard around me and they realized that the blue on my dress was exactly the same and this little bird. " No, I didn't hurt him. Nor did I hurt Alpha Luke for his fur as threading. I just asked the earth for the supplies." I said quietly.
"Please child! Become a designer! You are outstandingly dressed with just the few things that you asked for. Oh I wish I had your powers now." Luna said.
"No... No you don't." I said, looking right at the grass under my feet. She couldn't want these powers. I got them in the most brutal way you could ever get anything.
"Moon Goddess is waiting!!" Scarlet screamed in my head. I looked up at Luna.
"I don't mean to be rude or come off as rude, but please, take me to the temple. I need to speak with the Moon Goddess. That is, if she will answer my calls."
"Oh yes! Please, follow me." She led me to a smaller house. "This used to be the main house, but after I got here and learned about the Moon Goddess, I decided that it should be changed into a temple for her to lay her head if she chose to. We all live in the pack house now. Me acting as mother and Luke acting as father. Such a big family." Luna explained.
"Luna, might I know your name if you are to become a mother figure for me?"
She smiled and took my hands. "Darling, just call me mom. You are technically my daughter in-law. You are my son's mate."
I smiled a little but, I didn't say anything. She led me to a room with lit candles in a circle. "Sit is the center, darling. Pray and she will answer you."
"Might I ask that I be alone during this?" I asked. She nodded and left the house completely. "Strange." I thought. I took a deep breath and stepped into the circle of candles. I sat on my knees and closed my eyes. "Moon Goddess, hear my prayer. I wish to speak to you. Please come to me with the answers I seek." I said. A gentle breeze went through the room.
"Open your eyes Kanna." A mythical voice said. I opened them and looked around. I was not in the house any longer. In fact, I was in a vast field of many different flowers. They smelled so nice. I stood and looked around a little more before my eyes fell onto a woman. Her silver eyes smiling at me. Immediately, I bowed to her.
"Moon Goddess." I said.
"No child. I am not." I looked at her and tilted my head. "I am a spell cast by Moon Goddess."
"Do you still have the answers I'm looking for?" I asked, hope filled my heart.
"I do, but also not."
"Can you tell me what I am?"
"No. I can tell you what you are made of."
"Please tell me. I need to know."
She sat down on the grass offering me the spot next to her. I took it and sat down. "You child, are something new. Moon Goddess wanted someone to rule the night creatures she made. You are made from human flesh, werewolf blood, vampire eyes, owl wings and a personal favor from her father, God Blood. What you are, has no name. Moon Goddess has left naming yourself all up to you. Moon Goddess's sister Solar Goddess, gifted you with human flesh, hence your pure blood human parents. Sadly no one knew what they would do to you. You were supposed to gain your powers slowly over time when the situation called for them, but those humans weren't very nice to you. They knew you couldn't be a witch, at least not a full witch. A witch graced you with her essence. While she was dying, she willed her powers to you. Her soul gave up its chance to go to Moon Goddess, just to help you. You are here for a reason Kanna. Sadly, once your reason has been completed, you will return to where you came from. Your human flesh with go back to make another human, werewolf blood will return to the kings family, your eyes will return to the vampire king who gave them to you, your wings will return to the earth for a young owl to learn to fly and the God Blood you have inside you, will return to her father."
"Wait, I'll die when I complete what I was made for?" I asked.
"Yes child. However--" Her body began to shimmer as if it was going to vanish. I furrowed my brow in confusion. She then vanished like she was never there to begin with.
"Wait!" I called out. I looked around, looking for her or someone else that could help me.
"Don't fret Beast. I only stopped the spell that my sister used to make her. She felt no pain at all." A woman with very bright golden hair said as she walked toward me. "I am Solar. The elder sister. Now, Heed my warning, you hurt my creatures and I'll hurt you. However, you have a long time before your reasons for creation are to take place. If I were you, I'd get to giving your mate pups before that happens." She said.
"What are the reasons I was created?" I asked. She laughed and smiled ever so lightly, but I could see the sadness in her eyes.
"Only my sister knows that reason. Sadly, she's been missing for a very long time now."
"What do you mean missing? How is that possible?"
"Enough of your questions and go home to your mate. He's been waiting for three days for you to leave the temple."
"He can wait a little longer. I still have questions I want answered." She gave me a strange look, as if I reminded her of someone. "What is that look for?" I blurted out, narrowing my eyes at her. A small smile formed on her lips as she walked closer to me.
She pulled me into a hug. "I have found my sister. Thank you Kanna Lilith. Embodiment of my sister, Mood Goddess." She whispered in my ear, as if to keep it a secret.
"What are you talking about? I'm not your sister. I'm just me. Kanna Lilith. Other than my wolf, no one else is in here." I indicated my body.
She giggled and pulled me into another hug. "Scarlet is my sister." She whispered. I stepped away quickly.
"Not possible! How could that be! I would have known if their was a Goddess inside me!" I yelled. She just smiled and began to walk away from me. "Wait!" I called and reached out for her, but only to find myself in the temple reaching for nothing. I let out a sigh. "Scarlet."
"I'm here. What took you so long? Did you get to speak to the Moon Goddess?"
"Why are you asking me that? You know exactly what happened." I snipped at her.
She whimpered. I felt her starting to retreat back into my mind. "Stop. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snip at you. It just seems that I am very tired and very hungry and very much in need of a bath." She came back slowly, but I could feel her hesitation and fear.
"What did the Moon Goddess say?" She asked.
"I didn't meet her. I met a spell then met her sister. Her sister said some strange things along with the spell. I'm not sure if I understand it all yet. I think I just need some time to figure it out." I stood slowly and walked toward the door. When I opened the door, I was met with a huge body hugging me.
"What happened in there? Why did you take so long? Did you get the answers you were looking for?" Alexander showered me with questions.
"I met with a spell at first then I met with Moon Goddess' sister. It only feels like I've been gone an hour. I somewhat got the answers." I answered vaguely.
"Come, I'll take you back home." Vince said as he picked me up bridal style.
I giggled and held onto him. "Did you miss me or something?" I teased.
"Do you want a lie or the truth?"
"You know I want the truth."
"I missed you and I was very worried that you had died. You being in the circle of candles temporarily cuts our bond so you can pray to the Goddess privately. When you didn't come back with mom, I feared that you had died in the circle. Luckily, mom was able to keep everyone calm and tell them about what was going on with you." Vince explained.
I nodded, but my eyes were so heavy that I just let them fall closed. I don't remember when I fell asleep. Apparently I was that tired.
I opened my eyes to a very bright morning. I groaned at the sun in my eyes. "Solar Goddess, why do you have to be so cruel with your sun. It's way too bright." I grumbled. I heard Scarlet laugh. I couldn't help but smile too. "Good morning Scarlet."
"Good morning Kanna. Did you have a good sleep?"
"I did. I feel very refreshed. Other than needing a bath. Think you are up for a run?"
"Am I up to one? Always! Girl you clearly have been living with humans way too long. Wolves always want to go for a run."
I laughed and got up. I removed my clothing and let Scarlet take over. She shifted and took off. There was no stopping her once her paws hit the dirt. I smiled and took this time to get some thinking done.
Scarlet's POV
I ran as fast as I could. I haven't felt free like this since I was last in my original form. I know I shouldn't tell Kanna who I am yet, but I feel like I should. I also feel that my sister figured it out already and will tell father about this. Oh well. I'll just have to deal with him when everything is over. I know he won't hurt Kanna. She's too innocent. Plus, she has no idea what she actually was made for.
I sniffed the air. I caught Vince's scent. "How may I help you?" I linked him
"Who are you?"
"Scarlet. Kanna's wolf."
"No you aren't. Who are you really?"
I hesitated. Should I tell him? No. It's not time for him to know yet. But I don't want to hurt him or break his mind. Oh well. This doesn't really hurt anything. "You're right. I'm not a wolf. I'm the Moon Goddess." I said bluntly.
His laughter rang through my head. "Don't bullshit me girl. Tell me who you are."
I sighed and stopped running. "Come to me and I will show you than."
"I don't want any parlor tricks." He growled.
"I don't plan on doing any." I growled back. Vince came close to me, but he was cautious. Like a tiny baby deer leaving the thicket for the first time. He was in his wolf form too. That made it easy to keep our human parts out of what I am going to show him. "Put your head down. I'm not as big as you are." He lowered himself and I placed my paw on the center of his head.
Slowly, large wings sprouted from my back as a warm wave of my true memories flooded Vince's mind. He whimpered when I removed my paw.
"Please forgive me Goddess." He kept his head to the ground at my paws.
"Stand. You are going to help me keep this secret from everyone. I already have a feeling that my sister knows where I am and has told Kanna." I said, taking a seated position on the grass.
"What do you mean My Lady?" He asked and I cringed.
"Please never say that again. That makes me feel and sound old! I mean, I am, but still! Nah! Nope! No no no! Scarlet is my name and that is what you will call me. For the answer to your question, Kanna was acting different when she came out of meditation. I fear that my sister has said things to her."
"You could always ask her what they talked about. She can't lie to you. You being her wolf, you know when she's lied. You can feel it like a knife in your paw. The bigger the lie, the more the pain. Same with us wolves. We can't like to them or it will hurt them."
"I see. Well, thank you for keeping my company. I am going to finish my run and head to the river to let Kanna bathe. She doesn't really like bathing in front of others because of her scars."
"What scars?" He tilted his head to the left.
"She has scars all over her body from her life time. Most are from her parents, which she hates when others see them." I explained. Vince looked down for a moment then turned and ran off. I continued my way to the river. Once I got there, I let Kanna take over again.
Kanna's POV
I shifted the moment Scarlet let me go. I was blocked from her by my walls, so I knew I was safe to think freely. I stepped into the cold river up to my waist. "What did she mean that Scarlet is the Moon Goddess? That couldn't be possible. But I guess on the other hand, I am a non-existent creature and she could be her." I sighed. "I should probably just ask her. She might not answer me though." I growled in frustration as I floated around the river. I opened my link to Scarlet. "Hey."
She piped up immediately. "Hey Girl!"
"Are you the Moon Goddess?" I asked bluntly. I mean, better to get it over and done with than to beat around the bush. She put up her wall the second I asked, but she opened it back up a few moments later.
"Why would you ask that?" She was hesitant.
"Because the Solar Goddess said you were and I do not believe that she would lie to me."
She remained silent for a while as I rubbed my skin clean with the water. "Why do you think she would say that?" Scarlet asked. It felt like she was avoiding my question.
"Because she misses her sister and I believe that she wants to see her again." Again, she stayed quiet for a while. "Scarlet, please answer my question."
She sighed. "I know I can't lie to you because it would hurt you. Please just be patient. I will answer all your questions when the time is right."
"No. I need to know everything about myself. If I'm going to die the moment I've finished what I was made to do, I want to know. I'm 199 years old, I think I've waited long enough to know." I wasn't taking that answer from her. I need to know. If she was the Moon Goddess, I would need to protect her more than ever. "Scarlet, please. If you are, I would need to protect you more than anyone else. Please tell me if you are or not."
She growled in frustration and began pacing inside my mind. "Fine, I'll tell you. However, you must not tell anyone else. I already spilled to Vince, I cannot afford to have too many people knowing. Yes, I am the Moon Goddess."
"So she was telling the truth. Is your name truly Scarlet?"
"Yes. Father gave me that name before knowing that I would become the Moon Goddess. I know, it doesn't really fit."
"Thank you for telling me." I closed the link before she could reply. Getting out of the water, I picked up a clump of fox fur and a few feathers. One red, one white and one black. "This should do." I thought. Holding them in my hands, I closed my eyes and willed the items to become clothing. I felt them change and I opened my eyes. Smiling at the beautiful clothing I now held, I slipped on the knee length black jean skirt. As always, it was a perfect fit. I slipped the shirt on, but noticed it wasn't was I usually wear. It was a white strapless shirt with red claw marks across the front. "Scarlet."
"Yes Kanna?" She replied instantly.
"Was this your doing?" I asked, indicating the shirt.
"Yes. You need a change for once. Don't be afraid of the scars. Wear them like battle trophies. As a matter of fact, here." My skirt was shortened until it was barely covering my butt. "Now, get out there and flaunt this gorgeous body of ours." She closed the link and put her walls up so I couldn't yell at her.
I sighed and began my walk back to the house. Along the way, I heard chirping. I looked around and my eyes landed on Papa. He was being held by his wings in the jaws of a rogue. "Papa!" I called. The rogue looked right at me. A growl ripped through my throat. I wasn't a normal growl. No. It sounded a lot more demonic than a wolf growl. The rogue didn't seem to notice but growled back. "Scarlet, let my shift." I said.
"I'm not letting you ruin these clothes. They are too good for shifting. Use your fire." She blocked me out again. I growled at her, but I don't have time to fight with her. This rogue was hurting Papa.
I balled my fists as they went up into flames. "You let Papa go or I will set you on fire Rogue!" I yelled. He responded with growling at me. I opened my link to him. I didn't think it would work, but it did. "Speak to me Rogue. The link is open."
"Hungry." He growled. The flames died down as I slowly walked closer to him.
"What if I gave you something to eat in exchange for the bird?"
"The Alpha won't allow it."
I smiled. "I'm not one to really take orders from higher ups. give me Papa, and I personally, will take you to get some food." He thought about it for a moment or two. He dropped Papa on the ground and looked dead at me.
"No food, than you are my food." He growled. I rushed over and picked up Papa, looking over him. He seemed okay. Just scared. I held him close and kept him calm. "Get on. Your human form is too damn slow." He wasn't as big as Alexander, but he was still strong and big enough for me to get on. Once I was on, I held onto his fur tightly as he ran full speed toward the house.
He stopped in the treeline and I slid off his back. "Come." I said, lightly placing my hand on his scruff.
We entered the house with all sorts of stares from both outside and now inside. There were growls and snarls everywhere. "Please stay calm Rogue." I linked him.
"I am. Their little growls aren't going to bother me any. I could take them all down if I wanted to." He said. I sighed and led him to the kitchen. As we rounded the corner, I bumped into Luna.
"Luna. I hope you have had a wonderful morning so far." I said with a smile.
"Kanna. Why is there a rogue in my house?" She asked sternly.
"Um-- Long story short, I saved Papa and promised him food." I smiled slightly awkwardly.
She crossed her arms over her chest. "Kanna, rogues don't get good treatment. You should have killed him and got the bird back that way."
He growled and I put my hand on his snout, making him calm down. "Luna, Scarlet wouldn't let me shift and using my powers might have killed Papa in the process." Luna looked at me to see if I was lying, but she only saw the truth.
"Fine. Tell the girls that the girls bathroom needs to be cleared out. He shale be bathed by your hands in there. No dirty people or animals will dine at my table." She waved her hand as to dismiss us.
I took him to the girls bathroom. "Sit here. I'll get the girls out." I said and entered the bathroom. "Girls! I have been told by Luna that this bathroom is to be cleared out as soon as possible. Please, if you are clean, exit." I said. They stopped their fooling around and washed quickly and left. I stood next to a seated rogue. There were some gasps, but that was something I was used to at this point. Same with the growls. With the bathroom cleared out, He and I entered. "Go over there and look away, I don't want my clothes ruined." I said. He followed my order. I stripped and wrapped myself in a towel. "Okay, let's get you cleaned up."
"I can do it myself." He said.
"You heard my Luna. Washed by my hands."
