The Ultima's Princess

Author: : JulyanWrites
Genre: Werewolf
Ultima werewolves rank higher than the common Alpha and Luna in a pack. They were the first werewolves, long before even humanity could ever exist. When they are enraged, their eyes turn blood red, and sometimes go insane with rage, or even kill someone in the blink of their eyes. One of the dangerous powers that they have was the ability to transform humans into werewolves and werewolves into humans. They're the strongest and most dangerous werewolves around the world and are almost extinct. The last Ultima Alpha, Zyren Marchand, wanted to find his Luna in order to stop this. But his Luna wasn't anywhere around the pack, she's a royalty, surrounded by nobles, people that would look at them with disgust. A princess whom he thought could never understand his pain, especially the power that he has that could be a curse and a blessing at the same time.

Chapter 1 Extinct

"Alpha, Kronos died last night because of grass sickness," Zyren's beta, Christopher Lowel, informed him while kneeling, so he just nodded at him.

They're currently inside his office, he was looking at the sunset from the window, some of the stars were finally showing.

Christopher Lowel was his childhood best friend, one of the people that he trusts ever since their ancestors built their pack.

Only a few werewolves decided to come with them since Ultima's are cursed with abilities that sometimes they couldn't control.

Some of the werewolves got terrified and decided to start a pack of their own elsewhere, far from them where no one could even reach them.

"I know, I felt it," He sternly replied, so his beta apologized before finding the right time to say a few important words he might need to hear.

"Alpha, we're about to extinct and I think it's time for you to look for you Luna," Christopher informed him, so he just sighed.

He has been thinking about this for days and he knew that was the only option he had, "I know, that is why I'm going out tonight,"

Christopher stood up and was stunned by Zyren's sudden reply; he usually just ignores him whenever he mentions that statement.

"Are you talking about the engagement party of Princess Tatiana and Prince Nicholas?" He curiously asked, so he slowly nodded his head at him.

"That's the party, all of the maidens around the kingdom are gathered there, it would be a perfect opportunity to look for her, especially all of those humans there would be distracted," Zyren coldly replied.

"But Alpha, you know how dangerous it is around that kingdom, especially if they found out that you're–"

"No one will find out," Zyren cut him off, so he lowered his head before nodding at him like he understood that he could do it.

"Prepare my suit and shoes, I'll be back in my room before cleaning up some documents," He ordered, so Christopher left upon his order.

He already cleaned up his desk and just wanted some time alone for himself while looking at the breath-taking view from the outside.

The sun was almost gone, a few stars were shining, and he was sure that it was a million miles away from them.

Zyren was never prepared for looking for his Luna, he has reasons why he doesn't want to. He used to have a dad and mother, but they killed one another.

His mother was scared of his abilities as the Ultima werewolf while his father got furious because his mother cheated on his father, sleeping with other werewolves.

They got so enraged with one another that they didn't realize that their love and fear for one another had killed them.

Zyren cupped his face before tapping his cheeks, "You're not a kid anymore," He spoke to himself before leaving his office.

After he stepped inside of his room, he noticed that his fancy tuxedo was there, together with some leather shoes.

He grabbed the expensive golden watch his father left him back when he was in his teenage years. Zyren turned 22 a few days ago, there wasn't much celebration since he wasn't fond of that.

After reminiscing about his past, he decided to slip into his clothes before looking in the mirror to fix his fancy-looking tie.

He has pitch-black illuminating eyes, but these eyes turn into blood red that could kill werewolves and humans in one stare.

Zyren tried to calm himself down and noticed that his eyes were slowly turning scarlet, "Not today, Zyren, you have a job to do,"

After he calmed himself down and wore his leather shoes, he went downstairs and was greeted by his beta and the people inside of his pack.

Only a few women were left and most of them are old and married, so he was sure that his mate wasn't here since he couldn't smell her scent.

"Everything's ready for you, Alpha," Christopher greeted him, so he just nodded before proceeding outside.

His eyes noticed that there was a carriage waiting for him in front, "Really, Christopher?" Zyren grunted before glancing at his beta.

Christopher raised his hands in defeat, "Alpha, you wouldn't get in if you don't have a carriage," He informed him.

Zyren wanted to grunt but his people were looking at him whispering, 'Alpha's finally going to look for his Luna!'

'It's about time he had babies!' He clearly heard that even if those werewolves were on the far corner of the trees, just watching him depart.

Some of them were afraid to approach him because he hasn't controlled his temper yet, but he's trying to learn from it.

"Alright, I'll be back as soon as I can, if she isn't there, I'll start traveling to visit numerous packs," Zyren informed everyone, so they had this platonic smile on their faces and cheered for him.

After he entered the carriage, he waved his hands to bid his people goodbye. It would be much faster to get there in his werewolf form, but it would cause huge trouble.

Especially because humans despise their kind, probably because they are inferior with the extraordinary power they possess.

Zyren shrugged off his depressing thoughts before thinking about how he would look for his mate. His father told him before that it just happened in an instant.

He told Zyren that his eyes will lock with his mate the moment he sees her, and he'll feel breathless as if he was going to run out of air. Her scent will make his werewolf go crazy, so he thought maybe his father was overreacting.

Such emotions don't exist, "We're here, Alpha," Rodrigo, his Gamma informed him, who was disguised as a coachman.

"Thank you, Rodrigo, you may go home, I'll signal you to fetch me later," After he said those words, Rodrigo left with the carriage, and now he was observing the huge establishment before him.

The castle gates were open and there were numerous guards surrounding the place as if they were waiting for supernatural creatures to come and attack.

Due to his attractive face and body-built, he easily passed the guards, thinking that he might be a prince on some land.

He was just thankful that no one was there who had wolfsbane hidden in their pockets, just thinking about it was making his blood boil.

'Snap out of it, idiot!' Zyren scolded himself to avoid making his eyes turn blood red and followed the festive crowd to go to the center of the castle where the party was being held.

Princess Tatiana Fleur was staring at the bright stars and full moon in the almost Starry Night Sky. It was her engagement day today, but she wasn't a bit happy about it.

'Who would be happy?' She sighed before resting her hands on the cold rails of her terrace, listening to the faint music downstairs.

"Princess, it's time for you to get ready," Her lady-in-waiting informed her, so she just sighed before stubbornly lying on her queen-sized bed.

"Can't I just not attend that, Lily?" She pouted adoringly, so her lady-in-waiting shook her head before smiling.

"It's your most awaited day, your brother and the Majesties are looking forward to this main event for you," Lily happily informed her.

"But can you love someone you haven't met yet, Lily?" Tatiana asked. She was devastated since she was going to marry someone that she doesn't know well.

She has read numerous romance books and she thought that arranged marriage never works. Both parties are being unfaithful to one another.

Usually, she reads romances about supernatural beings, but she was well aware that they're banned from their kingdom due to some issues from the past.

"I apologize, Princess, I don't know what to feel since I haven't felt or experienced that before just yet," Lily bowed her head apologetically.

Tatiana secretly chuckled. Lily has always been formal even though she told her many times to address her by her name since they're going to stay with each other for a while.

She was just thankful that her lady-in-waiting was kind. Tatiana trusts her to do a lot of errands if she can't comply.

Tatiana gracefully stood up from her bed before proceeding towards her changing room, "I'm ready to get change and get on with this night to make my family proud," She informed her.

"That's the spirit, Princess," Lily happily said as she accompanied her to get changed into the loveliest gown she has in her wardrobe.

It wasn't long until she slipped into her white ball gown with golden linings on the corners, a shiny gold ribbon was tied on her back and her hair was curled to perfection while some of her strands were tied up with some fancy, slightly glowing ribbons.

Tatiana has bright sky-blue eyes, similar to beautiful daylight, hazel nut locks of hair, and her skin was fair that most of the noble ladies envied her.

A lot of people have complimented her eyes, they told her it was an asset that she should proudly boast to others. But she thought otherwise, beauty wasn't meant to boast, it was always with everyone, a lot just fails to appreciate it.

She looked like a flower that just bloomed on the first day of spring, "Princess, you were always lovely, but now, you're just so breathtaking,"

Tatiana blushed before standing up, "You did all this for me, Lily, compliment yourself more," She smiled.

Lily felt embarrassed as she started accompanying her princess downstairs where the king and queen together with his brother were waiting for princess Tatiana.

"Someone's finally going to prove themselves," Prince Leonard, Tatiana's brother commented, looking at her with amusement.

Tatiana knows that he was just trying to piss her off, but she has a kind heart, so she curtsied before smiling at him.

"Greetings Your Highness and Your Majesties," She greeted politely, so her parents adoringly looked at her.

"I'm happy for you, my princess," King Harold smiled before reaching out to her hands as her mother stood beside him.

"I know that you haven't met him yet, but be kind to him, okay?" Queen Fiora, her mother, worriedly reminded her.

Tatiana just nodded, "I won't disappoint you; shall we meet our guests?" She invited them, so they all agreed with them.

Loud music was to be heard as the familiar trumpet rang in her ears, cueing that they had to go out after the announcement of their names. She was used to this, but now, all she thinks about is her future with this man that awaits her hand.

All she hoped for was that he was kind, gentlemanly, and has a good heart. Those are all the qualities she would want her ideal man would have.

"Your Royal Highness, Princess Tatiana Fleur together with her family, ruler of the Kingdom Cassia!" Their spokesperson announced, so everyone started cheering and clapping their hands.

Princess Tatiana put a smile on her face as she waved her hands at everyone. She stopped after seeing one strange person around the group of elegant people.

All of them were shining because of the glitters and fabrics of their gowns and formal clothing, but he was different.

His pitch-black eyes were glinting with desire, and both of them felt breathless after they locked eyes with one another.

She felt her hands were getting cold as ice when an unfamiliar image blocked him from her eyes, "Princess Tatiana, I'm Nicholas Charles from the kingdom of Kronos, your fiance,"

Princess Tatiana's eyes finally focused on him, and she was surprised to see such a fine man, who looked the same age as she was.

She curtsied before smiling at him, "Greetings, I'm Tatiana Fleur, princess of Kingdom Cassia,"

"You're more beautiful than what I have imagined you to be, you're just right for my taste," Nicholas sounded proud.

Princess Tatiana squinted her eyes at him, 'Right for his taste? What am I? Some flavor of cake or something?'

Tatiana brushed aside her absurd thought since she had to be nice, this prince was going to be one she was going to engage with after all.

Despite the fact that the prince asked her to dance, those pitch-black eyes couldn't be erased from her mind.

There was something about it that she couldn't just easily forget or even ignore. It was rare, she hadn't seen anyone with pure eyes like that.

Chapter 2 Mate

'Mate,' Zyren's wolf couldn't stop shouting that inside of his mind, but one thing he couldn't accept was that his father was right.

"Your Royal Highness, Princess Tatiana Fleur together with her family, ruler of the Kingdom Cassia!"

After hearing the announcement of that silly man dressed in formal clothing, he smelled something alluring.

Even if he didn't confirm anything, his body knew that it was her. His eyes roamed around the crowded place and there she was.

Those sky-blue glinting eyes mesmerized him as their eyes locked with one another. She was dressed so beautifully that he didn't know what to do next but to approach her.

A tall-looking man who was dressed decently approached her, blocking him from looking at her adoringly.

"Curses, why the hell would he block such a beautiful sight?" He spoke to himself before finding a good spot to look at her.

What happened next surprised him when suddenly all of the noble people formed into a circle as if they were waiting for something to happen.

Everyone had their partners, so he squinted his eyes at everyone before looking at the human who kept on poking his shoulders.

"E-Excuse me, may I have this dance?" A noble lady asked. She looked like she was about to faint because of his presence.

He looked around and noticed that guards were standing around the whole castle, so he thought that he might as well blend in.

"The pleasure's mine, milady," He offered his hands, so the lady almost squealed as she brought him to the center where everyone was gathered.

He was about to put his whole attention to that woman until he heard something disturbing, "May I present, Prince Nicholas Charles, fiance of Princess Tatiana!"

Lots of claps and cheers were to be heard as his eyes widened before looking at the center where he almost growled, seeing her hands being held by another man.

She was smiling brightly as the prince looked at her with a desire that he didn't like as he started dancing with the other girl to go near them.

His wolf was getting livid on the inside, so he thought that might be a problem as he averted his gaze at them.

'Fiance? She was the one who was getting engaged today? But she just met him,' Zyren thought as he clenched his fists.

'Royalty, they're always too difficult to understand especially when it comes to forging alliances and everything,' He thought while sighing.

"Aren't they lovely?" The noble lady, who he was dancing with commented, so he squinted his eyes at her.

"Who?" He squinted his eyes at her, so he glanced at Princess Tatiana and Prince Nicholas with disgust.

"They don't seem to be in love with one another," He coldly claimed, so the noble lady politely chuckled.

"Of course not yet, they just met today and got engaged," She smiled, "They'll get to know one another soon,"

'The only man she'll get to know is me,' He thought before forcing his way in towards where the princess and prince were dancing.

It was finally the exchange of partners. Prince Nicholas looked like he didn't want to let go of the princess, but he did whatever it takes to step in between them.

After several spins and glides, Zyren finally ended up where the prince and the princess were currently dancing.

"Do you mind if I cut in?" He tried to be polite, but the humor was evident in his tone like he was trying to mock him.

Prince Nicholas looked stunned at what he did, but he just composed himself before nodding even if it was against his will.

"Of course, you may," He gave him a small smile before dancing with the noble lady Zyren was dancing with a while ago.

He then turned his body to the woman whose scent was alluring, he closed his eyes trying to memorize it since he didn't want to forget. This woman was his mate.

The woman who's probably going to turn his world upside down, the one who'll prove if his father was truly spouting the truth about mates.

Zyren finally opened his eyes and saw the beautiful woman before him that had sky-blue glinting eyes, "Greetings, I'm Princess Tatiana," She smiled.

Her voice was soft and gentle, his heart swells as he gently offered his hands to her before smiling brightly.

"May I have this dance, Princess Tatiana?" He politely asked so she flinched before she decided to curtsy for him.

Princess Tatiana thought that his voice was so deep, similar to how the writers have explained the deep voices of those handsome men in their novels.

"O-Of course," She said before reaching out to his hands. After their hands touched, a wave of electricity sparked between them as they gasped as if they were getting burned.

But the burn isn't painful, it's the burn that wanted them to get closer, to get to know the being that was still a stranger to them both.

"W-What was that?" Tatiana whispered, but she neglected it since she didn't want to offend the man who asked her to dance.

'It was him, the one who locked eyes with me a while ago,' She thought while biting her lower lip. 'He looked so mysterious and...dreamy,'

"A-Are you a prince? It was the first time I've seen you around here," Princess Tatiana smiled, but he didn't speak and just remained looking at her intently.

He just wanted to look and admire the breath-taking beauty that he was seeing up close, she was just something else.

Zyren wanted to take her away but that would stir up some trouble here, "Princess, are you really going to engage with that man?" He curiously asked.

Tatiana almost frowned since he didn't answer her first questions, "Y-Yes, I am, for the sake of the kingdom," She informed him.

Zyren twirled her around as she gasped after feeling his big, warm hands around her waist tightened; she has never felt something like that before.

She thought that she was acting strange around this human being. Their eyes finally locked with one another again as she became more curious about him.

"I hope you would change your mind about this," Zyren whispered, so she wondered for a moment while tilting her head.

"Are you saying something? I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear," Tatiana mumbled, but he didn't reply to her.

She thought maybe he was too shy to speak to her, "What's your name?" She politely asked to ease the tension, but before Zyren could even say something, Nicholas cut in between them.

"May I have my fiance back?" He almost sounded like he was possessive of her, so Zyren let go of her waist before looking at him. He didn't want to cause any trouble for her party.

Zyren thought it was too early for him to act up and he just had to buy some time to speak with his mate again.

He has to speak with her, his wolf will go crazy at the thought of her being engaged with someone else that isn't him.

"Of course," Zyren bowed before leaving them both on the dance floor. Tatiana was troubled while watching him go, her heart was shouting for him not to leave.

"What is going on about me?" She spoke to herself before looking at Prince Nicholas, who was glaring at Zyren.

"Is there something wrong, Prince Nicholas?" She worriedly asked. He looked like he was bothered about something.

"I don't think that he's a human," Nicholas claimed before he wrapped his hands around her waists as they started dancing again.

Princess Tatiana squinted her eyes at him before looking at the mysterious man she danced with a while ago, but he was nowhere around the dance floor anymore and she didn't like that.

It was such a shame that she didn't get to know his name, "Why are you easily claiming such a serious statement, Prince Nicholas?" She curiously asked.

"Are you questioning my kingdom's ability to protect our people that supernatural beings could just sneak in here?" Tatiana raised her eyebrows, so he looked at her intently.

"No it's not that, isn't it obvious, princess? He has pitch-black eyes, it's rare, plus no one could have that kind of looks unless they're supernatural beings," Nicholas claimed, which made her stop.

She secretly smiled thinking that kind, mysterious gentleman was indeed a very handsome and attractive fellow.

'Maybe that was why I suddenly got drawn to him,' Tatiana thought before sighing since she was hoping to see him again.

"I don't think he's someone like that, maybe he was just born lucky to have those kinds of features," Princess Tatiana defended.

Nicholas looked like he didn't like what he had heard from her, "I'm just glad that this party was just one time, we'll never see him again and we could focus on getting to know one another," He whispered and invited her to eat some delicacies on the buffet table.

It wasn't long until the party was almost about to reach its end. The commoners who were invited already went home as the nobles were the ones that were left dancing and drinking.

Tatiana, on the other hand, had her head up in the clouds because of that mysterious man she danced with.

He was just so mysterious and she wanted to do whatever it takes to know his name and probably get to know him better.

There was just something about him that made her curious just like a cat, "Princess Tatiana? Are you with me?" Nicholas asked, making her flinch.

She almost forgot that he was gloating about some of his successful expenditures, she doesn't know why she isn't a bit interested in it.

"O-Oh um, I apologize, I was exhausted from all of the dances and talks that have happened today, do you mind if I see you again tomorrow, Prince Nicholas?" Tatiana politely asked.

They'll probably see each other often since they're going to get to know one another even if it was against their will.

Nicholas stopped before bowing at her, "Of course, do you want me to escort you back to your chambers? I can be with you until then," He slowly reached out to her hands and kissed the back of them.

"No need, Lily will be with me later on," She politely smiled and curtsied before she decided to leave the exhausting engagement party.

Her brother, together with the king and queen, had already departed a while ago to do some business meeting.

It has always been like that whenever there was a huge party, her brother was always with them since he was next in line on the throne.

Faint taps of her heels were the only thing she could hear in the spacious hallways as she was raising her frilly gown. No one was around, so she thought it was strange.

Usually, Lily would be there to approach her after she left the party. Princess Tatiana just shrugged and set her eyes on the grand stairs that would lead to her chambers.

'Maybe Lily is waiting for me there,' She thought with a smile while thinking about a book that she would read next before going to sleep.

But before she could even step on the grand stairs, she gasped when someone cupped her mouth and pulled her inside a dark room.

She was struggling with all of her might, so the stranger who took her let her go before opening the lights.

"Calm down, princess, it's just me," Zyren sternly spoke, so she did calm down for a moment before meeting up with his gaze.

"You have to promise me that you won't shout before I let go of your mouth," He sounded like he was requesting, so the princess just stopped before nodding her head.

He slowly removed his hands, so she gasped for some air before squinting her eyes at him as she raised her fingers.

"Y-You," She mumbled, "What do you think you're doing?" Tatiana nervously asked. She has never experienced being captured before and it felt terrifying.

"I apologize," Zyren kneeled, which made her surprised as he slowly raised his head, "I just have to speak with you again,"

"You know that if someone found out about what you did, you will be in big trouble," She informed him.

But deep inside, Tatiana knew that she was feeling the same way as he was, so she clutched to her chest.

She knew that she would be in big trouble after this meaningful night.

Chapter 3 Ultima's

"I sincerely apologize," Zyren continued apologizing to her. He just didn't want her to look at him differently.

She amusingly chuckled, so he looked at her intently and thought how adorable she was while cupping her mouth.

"You keep on apologizing to me," She paused, "How many times do I have to tell you that it's alright?"

"But you have to promise me that you won't do this again, you'll really be in big trouble," She said worriedly.

He just smiled at her, "I promise," He raised his hands, so she thought he looked adorable as she composed herself.

"So where are you from? Are you a commoner? A nobleman? A prince?" Tatiana curiously asked. She scolded herself on the inside for asking too much.

Zyren just smiled at her as he roamed his eyes around the room. It was a stockroom that was abandoned by maids.

He heard that she bid her goodbyes to that arrogant prince a while ago as he did whatever it takes to sneak past the guards just to speak with her privately.

This was his only chance where no one would see him sneak her. Zyren was well aware that what he was doing was against the royal law.

Inside the room, there was a small bed that was filled with dust and some bookshelves that were filled with ripped and torn books.

"I think it's best that you don't know what's my status just yet," He whispered, so she tilted her head for a moment like she was confused about why he said that.

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand," Tatiana mumbled, but he didn't say anything so she thought that they were going nowhere.

"Then why did you bring me here? Do you want something from me?" Tatiana impatiently asked, she was a bit disappointed that he didn't want to cooperate with her.

"I do want something and it's something that I probably couldn't have just yet," He whispered while clasping his hands against each other.

Tatiana was confused, she didn't want to question him any longer since she claimed that she wouldn't get any answers from him.

This man was just so mysterious, she was losing her temper and wouldn't like for him to witness that as she paced towards the main door.

Books aren't that hard to solve, especially when she was finally at the ark of the story where conflicts and solutions are being laid out to her.

"If there's nothing else, I'll see you around..." She stopped when she realized that she didn't know his name, "W-What's your name?"

"Zyren," He casually replied before standing up to approach her from behind, she closed her eyes when she felt his hands around her waist.

She was supposed to be stopping him from touching her in such places, but there was just something about him.

Tatiana couldn't make out what that warmth was which was making her crave for more, "Princess Tatiana, please meet up with me again," He whispered before leaning in towards her neck.

He tempted himself by smelling her alluring neck and oh, he wanted to dig his fangs over there to mark her as his.

It didn't help when he heard her releasing some accented moans as if she was trying to control herself not to be affected by what he was doing.

Zyren amusingly smirked before planting a kiss on her neck, she gasped for some air before moving away from him, touching her bare neck.

"Y-You shouldn't do that, I'm already engaged, Zyren," Tatiana sounded like she was complaining, but it wasn't evident on her face.

"If that is so, why didn't you stop me, my princess?" He amusingly raised his eyebrows, so she turned beet red and averted her gaze at him.

"S-Stop teasing me, I'm leaving," She bit her lower lip and was about to open the door when he stopped her.

"Princess, before I let you go, you have to promise me that I'll see you again tomorrow, please? Can we meet in your garden?" He pleaded.

"W-What are you talking about? Where are you going to stay and how will you enter our castle?" She curiously asked.

"Our guards here are exceptional, they all have the things they needed to bring a man down or a supernatural being," She proudly informed him, so he amusingly just nodded his head.

He managed to get inside the ball unharmed, with no one finding out that he was a supernatural being probably because of the power that he possessed.

'So much for the exceptional guard's thingy,' He thought before smirking. Everything was at his advantage.

"Leave that to me, just meet me in your garden, at this time," He reached out to her hands. Tatiana thought that he was going to kiss the back of it, but she was surprised upon seeing him put her hands on his cheeks.

"I'm going to miss you, if you don't meet up with me tomorrow, I'll sneak into your room," He threatened, so she thought it was madness.

Before she could say anything, he opened the door and pushed her out of that abandoned stock room.

Tatiana wasn't with her head as she slowly paced to her chambers where she was greeted by the worrying and panicking Lily.

"P-Princess! I thought you were gone or something!" She exclaimed, so Tatiana looked at her before smiling.

"I'm fine, I just needed some fresh air because the engagement party almost suffocated me," She reasoned out and was glad that Lily bought it.

She often does that when she is too tired doing all of her royal duties inside of the kingdom, stepping into her mother's place when she's gone.

"Oh, I see, if that is so princess, shall I prepare your bath?" Lily politely asked her, so she thought it would be a great idea.

"That would be lovely, please do prepare it," Tatiana smiled, so her lady-in-waiting happily left her chambers to prepare her bath.

Tatiana laid down on her bed and thought about that stranger named Zyren. She blushed remembering him kissing her neck and putting her hands on his cheeks.

Everything was so intense a while ago that she didn't know what to do but also felt strange around him.

"What is going on with me? I have a duty, and this is not right," She whispered and thought that if she didn't come into the garden, he'll come here where Lily would see him.

"Ugh, Tatiana! Why are you allowing him to do this to you?" She spoke to herself before rising from her bed.

She decided to read some books to forget about everything and noticed that she grabbed books about the supernaturals.

Kingdom Cassia, her home, was doing whatever it takes to protect their people from these dangerous creatures.

She thought that not all of the creatures were cruel. Tatiana remembered speaking to a werewolf back when she was just turning ten.

That werewolf that has black and red fur protected her from a snake that almost attacked her from the forest when they were having some royal picnic.

Tatiana thought that the supernaturals were amazing, they were not just humans, princesses, or some nobles, they had powers.

She flipped over some pages and saw one page that she hasn't read before, "Ultima's," Tatiana read while caressing the page.

Her eyes were just about to read the information about the ultima's when Lily came in and bowed at her, "Your bath is ready, Your Highness,"

Tatiana stopped before closing the book and she gracefully stood up to her feet, "Thank you, Lily,"

After she went to her bath, she forgot all of the things she needed to do even before going to sleep that night.

The image of Zyren kept invading her mind, but that didn't help to keep her awake because of her exhaustion.

She thought that tomorrow will be another day that she'll deal with getting to know her future husband, Prince Nicholas.

***

The next day came by. Princess Tatiana was dressed beautifully in her pastel blue off-shoulder dress that had a slit near her thighs as she had errands to attend to around their kingdom.

Wearing her famous blue hat, she happily walked towards the red carpet until she arrived at the main entrance of the castle where a carriage was waiting for her.

She has to visit those children she promised to give some toys to. Tatiana wanted everyone to know that their kingdom cares for them, no matter what their social status in life was.

Tatiana was very popular in their kingdom because of the kindness she has shown to anyone, no matter who or what they are.

"I simply don't get why you have to give those children these toys," Nicholas spoke after they settled into the carriage.

After she woke up a while ago, she heard from Lily that he was already waiting for her in the dining hall to eat breakfast together.

Prince Nicholas also insisted on coming with her today, but she didn't think about him giving comments about her duty.

"Oh, but it's my duty to take care of the kingdom, and making the children happy with these toys is a part of it," Tatiana smiled at him.

Prince Nicholas looked like he was disappointed in her, "Those children wouldn't help to make your kingdom grow, that is why we have to forge alliances," He claimed.

"Children in low classes shouldn't be spoiled and must be given books for them to learn how to rise in life," Nicholas added.

"Nicholas," Tatiana called him by his name, so Lily who was with them bit her lower lip since she knew her princess despises people who talk that way.

Princess Tatiana has always prioritized helping those in need in her kingdom. It was one of the qualities she admired in her princess.

Lily believes she was one of the people she aided, so she values her greatly, and no matter what happens, Lily always has Tatiana's back.

"If you don't want to come with me, you can wait here in the castle," Tatiana politely said, "I don't want you saying anything if we meet up with the children later on,"

Prince Nicholas just sighed, "I will behave, I apologize for my rude statement," He whispered, but the princess didn't say anything as Lily ordered the coachman to go.

The ride didn't take that long as they arrived at the orphanage where she always goes to give some gifts and read stories to the children who lost their parents.

"Princess Tatiana!" All of the children cheered and ran towards the main gate after seeing that her carriage had arrived.

"Hello, everyone," She greeted them with a smile as Nicholas helped her down while looking at those children with disgust.

Some of them have boogers on their noses and eyes, "Prince Nicholas, you can stay in the carriage if you'd like," Lily bowed her head at him.

She was the one who saw his disgust and thought it would be bad if her princess saw that look on his face.

Nicholas finally got back to his senses as he took out a handkerchief, "I'll be fine, I'll accompany her,"

Tatiana, on the other hand, was focused on distributing the presents she gave to them before reading them a story.

It's a story about a supernatural being who fell in love with a human. Their love was forbidden, but it just made their love grow stronger every time they both sneaked out just to see and speak with one another.

"They met with each other many times until the parents of the human found out that she was dating such a dangerous creature, this was a huge trouble for them since her parents wanted to kill him," The children gasped after she shared those statements.

"Did they end up together?" A child asked while raising her hands, so Tatiana happily smiled at her.

"They did live happily ever after since they both proved that no matter how different they were from each other, love will always make a way for them to be together," Tatiana explained so the children clapped their hands.

She happily smiled at them as she continued reading them some other stories for them to learn how to speak and write English properly.
