The Surrogate Mother

" Ma'am the operation theatre and the patient are ready", A nurse said to a blonde hair woman who is sitting in her office checking out some files.

"I will be there shortly", she said.

"okay ma'am", the nurse replied bowing slightly as a sign of respect and went out if her office.

The lady worn her green surgical outfits and carried her stethoscope in her hands heading out of her office towards the theatre.

"Good day Miss Vera", a male doctor greeted her when she entered the operation room.

"Good day Doctor Clement, let's start this exercise. The patient's life is very important and we shouldn't waste time here", she said looking at the doctors and nurses.

"Nurse Fidelia, please give us a report on the state on the patient so we can know what we are dealing with", she said facing dark complexioned nurse standing beside her.

"Alright ma'am, the patient was rushed in here today at about 8:59 am. He was shot in the stomach, the police have already been contacted about the incident so we are free to start doctor Vera", Nurse Fidelia said giving the account accurately.

"what's his name?", Vera asked.

"Ronald Duke, the famous business tycoon. Owner of L&J construction company, Dallas , Texas", she replied.

"alright then let's begin".

The bulb outside the operation theatre door turned red indicating that an operation had just began.

Expentant faces were outside, a young girl with black emerald hair was pacing to and fro the reception.

"Merit, Merit what happened?", a handsome man with short golden hair yelled running towards her.

The lady turned back to look at him.

"Clifford", she said breaking into tears on his shoulders as he hugged her.

"Tell me what happened Merit", he said when she had calmed down a little.

"Ronald was shot at an event down town by some unknown men, we rushed him here immediately. I don't want to lose my brother, he's all I have in this world ever since we lost our parents", she said breaking into fresh tears.

Clifford took her to a seat close to them and patted her shoulders.

"Everything will be okay he won't die, I know Ronald to be a fighter he will be fine and I will make sure whoever did this pays with their life I promise you", he said with fury in his eyes.

Inside the theatre, the doctors are battling to save Ronald,"it seems the bullet penetrated into him deep, we need to bring it out as soon as possible", Vera said talking to the doctors.

The theatre light was shone on Ronald's body as the doctors had opened him up.

Detecting machines were connected to his body and an oxygen mask on his nose.

The heartbeat detecting machine began to beep loudly as the zig zag lines showing on it began to know straight and Ronald began to jerk on the bed.

"we are losing him", nurse Fidelia yelled.

After few hours, the bulb went off and Vera got out with her hair down as she had removed her surgical hat earlier.

she looked really hot despite the fact that she was stained with blood.

"A doctor's work is never done without spilling some blood", she always says.

Vera walked up to Merit and Clifford.

"I guess you both are relatives to the man that was brought in some hours ago", she asked.

"yes we are", Clifford said.

"Am his best friend and this is Merit Duke, Ronald's younger sister", he said pointing at Merit who sitting beside him still sobbing.

"well it's nice meeting you two, am glad to tell you that the patient's operation was done successfully. he is out of danger now", she said flashing them a smile that makes men drool over her.

Merit and Clifford exchanged glances and they hugged each other happily.

"oh my goodness, thank you doctor", Merit said disengaged the hug and hugging Vera too before disengaging.

"well it's my job, there's no need to thank me, your brother is a fighter. if you may excuse me I have work to do in my office and in case you would like to see him take the elevator and go to ward C his room is the first at your right", she said still smiling and walking away.

"oh my, Ronald's alive", Merit said happily palming her face.

"I told you didn't I ? Ronald won't leave us he can't meanwhile you should go and see him I would rush to the counter to pay the bills", Clifford said smiling at her.

She felt her heart flutter at his smile and watched him as he left her presence.

Merit immediately ran into the elevator that took her to her brother's ward.

She followed the directions given to her earlier by Vera and walked into Ronald's room.

she stood by the door looking at him and observing the machines connected to him before walking closer to his bed and sitting down on the chair beside his bed.

She began to rub his hand lovingly.

"hey big dude, you better wake up soon big head, you scared me a lot you know.

I thought I had lost you also, don't ever leave me I would be lost without you.

The doctor that came to us was very beautiful and kind her name is Vera I wish you could meet her so please wake up soon I have alot to tell you most especially about Clifford I really like him.

what am I even saying am supposed to be worried about you not thinking about something else don't be angry with me biggie you know I talk too much I can't wait for you to wake up soon", she said giggling as she removed the strands of his hair off his face smiling at him.

"hey", Clifford said poking his face into the door.

Merit smiled.

"come in you don't need to stand there", she said.

He walked in and sat beside her,"don't worry he will be fine". he said assuring her.

"I know", she said staring at Clifford.

Two years later

Ronald comes down from his car as his driver opens the door for him.

he adjusts his suit that hugged his body showing his sexy abs.

he collects his briefcase from one of his body guards. he looks at his company and smiles.

"L&J construction company", he muttered to himself.

he named it after his parents, Lilian and Jeff. he walks in and all his employees greeted him and he answered with a wave of his hand and entered into his private elevator with his body guards.

"how I wish he could just look at me", one of his female employees said to her colleague.

"he is getting hotter every day".

"am glad he's back now and the criminals have been apprehended".

"yes you're right heard that they sent by Henry Walter, boss's rival. such a cunning man paid the security officials who let the case slid".

"yeah he's a real definition of evil, he's just jealous of my Ronald".

"your Ronald?". Ronald's secretary, Andre laughed.

"you are such a joker, you know, Ronald only has eyes for me". Andre said dreamily.

The employees scoffed and went back to work because Ronald won't take it likely with them if he finds out that they were wasting time talking about unhealthy matters.

"Good morning sir", Andre said entering into his office pushing her boobs up in order to seduce him.

"Morning Andre", he said not removing his eyes from his laptop.

"get me coffee", he added.

"huh?", she said trying to make him look at her.

"get me coffee, I never remembered reading in your application letter that you have difficulty in hearing", he said finally looking up at her.

he scoffed at the way she dressed with heavy make up on her face making her look like a doll and a tight blue gown stopping right above her knees.

he knew she dressed that way in order to seduce him.

"she's so dumb", he muttered to himself.

"why are you dressed like this?", he asked farrowing his brow.

she smiled seductively licking her lips and walked towards him.

"you like what you see?", she said turning his swivel around so he could face her and she pushed her boobs up again and this time it was seen clearly.

"get out!!!", he yelled and she flinched.

"sir?", she said frightened.

"get out and if you ever try this again you are fired", he said with fury in his eyes and she gulped down her saliva.

"yes sir", she said running out of his office embarrassed.

"don't you dare forget to bring my coffee and no sugar please", he yelled after her.

"pervert, coming to seduce her boss what do they take me for really?", he sighed massaging his head with his fingers obviously stressed out by his secretary's behavior.

she came in with his coffee and saw him massaging his head.

"I could do that for you sir", she said smiling brightly.

he looked at her with his face void of emotions removing his hand from his head.

"do I have any appointments today?", he asked ignoring her Statement.

"yes sir, a meeting with the board by 3 pm", she replied.

"good you may go", he said typing on his laptop.

"okay sir", she said going out.

"arghh, he just rejected me again", Andre said freaking out.

"but I won't stop until I get you Mr Ronald Duke", she said smiling evilly.

just at that moment her phone beeped with a message and she looked at it and replied," he didn't fall for it, but I will try harder just give me few more weeks please".

her phone beeped again with a text and she texted back walking away to her office.

Ronald is in a meeting with his board members and Andre is taking every important word said down on her tablet note pad.

"Mr Wilfred, can you please give us the design of the new complex we are asked to build", Ronald said looking at a fat, bald head man with a tight suit.

"yes Ronald", he replied standing up from the conference table and heading towards the projector.

"well here's the design they asked us to build, it's quite difficult but with the help of you all we will be able to do it", Wilfred said giving account of all necessary details needed to build the complex.

"it's a boutique though but the owner has already paid us in advance so w need to start immediately", he added.

The board members nodded as he gave out his presentation.

Ronald gave some announcements before concluding the meeting.

"That will be all for today, do have a nice day", Ronald said standing up from his chair exchanging handshakes with the members.

"Andre, anymore appointments?", he asked looking at her when all the board members had left.

"none sir", she replied.

"good, have a nice day then", he said walking out of the conference room with his body guards.

"you too sir", she said giggling.

Ronald got into his car and texted his sister, Merit.

"am coming home, make sure my lunch is ready before I arrive am famished".

"yes boss", she replied with a heart emoji and he smiled.

"what could he ever do without her? she's his only family now", he thought.

** Ronald's mansion **

Ronald's mansion was a sight to behold, painted with white with two big male lions statues by the both sides of the entrance. A swimming pool at the back and also a flower garden by its side.

His driver drove into the big gates and Ronald's body guards came down to open the door for him and he stepped out.

Ronald heard laughter from his second living room. One which belonged to his sister, Merit and another to someone he's curious to know. He walked in to see his sister talking to Bella in the living room. Bella is Henry's younger sister, black emerald hair, long natural lashes and a nice figure. She got the appeal that could make men go crazy for her. She's Ronald's ex. She flashed him a smile and he scoffed. "What is she doing here?"...

"Hey big dude", Merit called happily hugging him. He tapped her a back looking scornfully at Bella who immediately stood up when he came in looking at them with smiles on her face.

"what is she doing here?." he asked when they had disengaged.

"oh Bella," Merit turned around smiling to look at Bella as her black hair swept Ronald's face before turning back to him.

"well she came to visit us," she said pouting.

"we don't need her around here anymore", he said looking back at Merit rolling his eyes when he noticed her pout.

"why brother? she said she was sorry and besides it was Henry who tired to kill you not her", she said and Bella nodded at her words.

"you don't understand, am not talking about what Henry did. we both have scores to settle but you see this thing over there," he said pointing at Bella with a digusted look.

"she can never have me back not in this lifetime, you get that?", he yelled walking out on them ascending the stairs to his room.

Merit turned to look at Bella in tears. "oh Bella, stop crying over him he will come around", she said cupping her face in her hands wiping off her tears. Bella nods and hugs her.

she looks up at the staircase, "Ronald you will be mine again, I will never let anyone else have you never, you're mine!", she yelled inwardly.

it was night time, Ronald refused to come out for dinner. he is in his room typing out some documents into his laptop. He gets up from his cushion with his laptop and goes to his bed.

At the dinning room, merit walks around biting her fingers looking at the clock. "is he alseep?", she asks herself.

"am not sure it's too early for him to be alseep", she shrugged her shoulders and goes upstairs to his room. she knocks but gets no answer.

"Ronald it's me", she said still no response.

she turns the door knob and finds the door unlocked.

on hearing his door opened, he looks up from his laptop to her and returns his gaze back to his laptop.

she signs walking closer to him and climbs the bed.

"Ronald are you angry with me?," she asked with all signs of worry in her voice.

"am not angry", he simply said.

"I sent one of the maids to call you up for dinner but you didn't come", she said hugging his back and inhaling his sweet scent.

He stops typing and signs.

"am not hungry, seeing Bella makes me feel digusted. I know you guys are friends but don't just bring your friendship close to me. you know what she did to me and it still hurts", he said holding her hands which were on his chest.

she removes her face from his back and puts her chin on his shoulder and he looks at her from the corner of his eyes.

"alright big dude, if you don't want our friendship, I will end it, you are more than enough for me but it just that I get bored anytime you are not around please get married soon", she said chuckling.

"you're not serious," he said laughing shortly.

"I am biggie, get a wife please", she said pouting. he rolls his eyes.

"anytime you do that you look ugly", he says.

"me?," she asked making a sad face.

"go and sleep, you are going to school tomorrow and you might be late for lectures".

"alright brother, goodnight", she said kissing his cheeks.

"goodnight", he replied.

she came down from his bed and skipped happily out of his room like a seven year old.

Ronald shakes his head sideways.

"what a bunch of trouble", he muttered to himself before returning back to his laptop.

NEXT MORNING

L&J CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, DALLAS TEXAS

"sir, here are the files you requested for", Andre said shaking her butt side to side as she walked into Ronald's office. He looked up from his laptop and nodded at her.

she dropped it on his desk and smiled."is there anything I can do for you sir?", she asked.

"coffee", he replied.

"alright sir, will be back in a jiffy", she said walking out of his office towards the coffee maker.

"this will make him want me", Andre smirked evilly as she added Viagra into his coffee.

"your coffee sir", she said smiling broadly.

he collected it and brought it close to his mouth while looking at her with the corner of his eyes.

*she's smiling too much* he said to himself.

he brought the cup down. "take a sip first", he said looking at her sternly.

"sir????", she said furrowing her brows in confusion.

"taste the coffee, Andre", he replied with a smile at the corner of his lips.

"but sir.....".

"why are you hesitant, taste it", he cuts in. "taste it or you're fired", he said.

he knew she needed the job to take care of her mother's surgical bills.

"ok sir", she said already sweating furiously.

"oh my, have been caught", she muttered to herself.

she took the cup from the table and took a sip from his coffee. she kept the cup back on the desk, the Viagra already taking effect on her as she was sweating and checking profusely.

"take this rubbish from my sight!", he yelled.

she carried the cup with shaking hands and it fell and broke. she bent down to pick the broken pieces but she couldn't contain the urge she ran to him turning his swivel around she kissed Ronald whose eyes were widened in suprise.

"what the hell", he yelled getting up from his chair angrily and Andre fell to the ground hitting her butt.

"what did you do that for?", he shouted.

Andre got up from the well polished floor and walked closer to him tugging his tie.

"I want you", she said bitting her lips.

"you are fired", he said pushing her away.

"sir your coffee might get cold", Andre said startling him. Ronald blinked severally it was just an hallucination.
