The Summer's Solstice

Chapter 1

I woke up from loud knocking on my bedroom door.

"Amiel, where's the breakfast" shouted my cousin Kath.

I scratched my head when I saw that it was only seven in the morning. I got home from work at four o'clock.

I fixed myself before going out. I went straight to the kitchen and saw her boyfriend Raven there. It crawled all over my body. I made him suffer because of what he did.

I started cooking breakfast for the family I was staying with. I was startled when I felt someone caress my leg.

"What?! Get away from me" I forcefully pushed Raven away from me just as Kath arrived.

"Tell your boyfriend, Kath! Wherever the hand lands" I said annoyed.

My cousin laughed at me.

"What are you doing again Amiel. Do you assume that Raven wants you?"

I pulled out my hair and turned away from both of them.

I was ten years old when I went to the family of Aunt Ana, Mama's only sister. My father is Norwegian but my mother also left us. My mother died of lung disease and since my mother had no other siblings, I went to Aunt Ana. They treated me well before, but as time went on, I also saw their true behavior.

"Who's the Stupid among us? Are you wearing shades when you're in the car? Is there any sun?" Summer's smile immediately disappeared and her eyebrows met. He took off the shades he was wearing so now I could freely look into his hazel brown eyes.

"You're not funny" he said curtly

"If you're funny, if I'm not? I'm sorry, I'm not your typical girl" I said and looked straight at the road.

"Ridiculous" I heard him chuckle before starting the car.

When I got to Laina's school, I quickly got off but stopped. I looked at Summer who had just gotten out of the car.

He was smiling looking at me.

I frowned at this because little by little I felt my heart beat faster

"I don't know where to go" I said here without looking at him. I looked around at Laina's beautiful school.

"You're a hero! There's something you need to know before you walk. Follow me"

I quickly followed Summer's tail as I made my way to Laina.

I was surprised when Summer suddenly pulled my hand towards her. I almost fell over if I hadn't leaned against his broad chest.

I stood up properly and held his face myself and pressed our foreheads together. I could see the surprise in Summer's eyes because of what I did.

I think I'm in trouble.

"Thank you very much! I will pay you, I promise. I would like to stay longer in case I have to prefi. Thank you very much"

"No, Jeah! What if something happens to you. I will not allow you to walk out of this hotel without a head! Man up Yadiel! Stop being a womanizer and learn to face your consequences" Uncle Damon said angrily

"What if nothing works out? I'll be tied to a marriage I don't want! You're being unfair" Summer answered

"I hope your head thought of that before you used your other head" Catalina said with folded arms.

"No, I'm not getting married" Summer said firmly. I turned to Laina and started crying. I'm shaking my head here to say I don't like the idea.

"Laina, please I don't want it. I have many more dreams please" I begged here

"No, Brother Yadiel needs to be held accountable for what he did to you" he turned to his brother.

"When you don't hold Jeah accountable, forget about being my twin brother. I won't forgive you if you take her womanhood without holding her accountable"

"Laina" teased as Summer pulled her hair

"I think I'll go with them. I don't want to lose my twins" he said jokingly. "We got you Jeah" it said and winked at me.

"This is ridiculous" Summer was punched on the bed because of the pressure the twins were doing to her.

"I'll plan the wedding as soon as possible. Jeah we will go to your house to kiss. Go fix yourselves" said Uncle Damon and one by one came out of our hotel room.

No! I can't get married! My family will definitely be mad at me!

I combed my hair with my fingers and walked back and forth while wiping my tears.

I was startled by the pain when Summer suddenly pushed me against the hard wall

"Maybe I'll just text Laina when you can go"

"Okay, Jeah. Tell us right away because we want you and Yadiel to get married as soon as possible" said Uncle Damon.

Tito Damon sent me with his car. As soon as I got out of the car, I immediately saw Aunt Ana smoking a cigarette in front of the house.

My tears continued to flow because of what the man was doing to me " help like I heard some noise from outside my room.

Aunt Ana help I felt the man's lips go down my neck towards my chest. I could do nothing but close my eyes and cry.

"I called my mother even though I knew she wouldn't be able to help me.

I opened my eyes when a loud kick opened my door. From there I saw Uncle Damon, Frost, two boys and Summer standing. Two of Tito Damon's companions were holding guns. The man stopped kissing my body. It loosened its grip on me and it stood up from the top of me. I quickly hugged myself.

"Come here Jeah" Summer ordered as she held out her hand. I quickly ran to him.

I breathed a sigh of relief when I felt Summer's warm embrace. He took off the jacket I was wearing and put it on my shoulders to hide my naked body wearing only a bra.

Little by little my tears fell when I felt Summer caressing my hair. I leaned my head on his chest.

"Are you okay?" He asked me while looking at my face hiding in his chest.

I hugged his neck before crying loudly.

"I'm not okay" I said sobbing here.

"We're here Jeah. You're safe" he said to me and rubbed my back.

"Lincoln, Mason, bring that bastard to the police"Uncle Damon ordered. The two men quickly handcuffed the foreigner who almost raped me.

Summer supported me until we reached the living room. I can see the fear and paleness of Aunt Ana and Kath at what is happening.

"We will take Jeah from now on. You have no more rights to this child" said Uncle Damon

"You are so heartless. You are still alive but your soul is burning in hell" added Frost.

"You are not allowed to come near her. If I see you approach her or interact with her in any way, I will have you arrested myself" Summer said before we finally left the house.
