JULIEN

"Yeah, I know" he said "I bought the whole cake, maybe you'll get hungry and your prince charming isn't with you." He gave me a smile and he looked away at the window covering his face from me.

"Whatever, Thanks." he suddenly grabbed and kissed the back of my hand and drive. When we arrived at the Academy's basement, we went for the elevator and he escorted me into my room and opened the door for me, he placed the cake into the fridge. I dived into the bed, Lance took off my shoes and brought a medicine and water from the shelf and thank him.

"Babe, your foot stinks" he teased and laughed "I'm just joking."

"Get out, I'm not in the mood." Laid down and looked at him who is also looking, sitting beside me. "I was thinking, what would you do if someone betrays you?"

"What kind of question is that?"

"Just answer me."

"I don't know" there was silence after he answered "Why?"

"Is 'I don't know' an answer?"

"I think maybe I'll just follow the rules." I stopped, I sit straight into my bed and listened to his answer.

"What rules?"

"That says 'Whoever betrays, life would be the price' " he said "Those are one of the rules that T.S.O follows even before."

"Why death?" I asked "Is there anything else?"

"I don't know, you can ask the book if you want-"

"Lance, I'm not joking."

"I'm sorry..." I took a deep breath and lean over my head on the headboard "Why did you ask, all of the sudden?"

"It just came up into my mind."

"It depends..." I turned my eyes to him and listened "It depends on what kind of betrayal they've done, if he or she betrays me? Betrays the academy."

"Ever since I was a kid, this academy is like my playground together with Aldren. This Academy is not just an Academy, its already part of our history as Users. Also, it is my life."

"What if one of your friends betrayed you?" I asked "What if I am a traitor, will you be able to kill me?"

"Julien..."

"Would you do it, Lance?" he was silent, he just looked at me calmly and sighed. "Why won't you answer?"

"Yes, I'll be able to do it." hearing those words are shock to me, making me regret why I ask those questions to him.

"But you are already part of my life..." he walked closer to me and sat beside "I can't hurt you or kill you because if ever I would do that, it's like I killed the half of me."

"They should pass over my dead body before my dead body before they'll hurt you, Julien." he gave me a comforting smile, and kissed my forehead, Lance phone rang seems like someone is calling him, he picked up his phone answering.

"What do you want? Bryle, I can't hear you. I'll put you on speaker"

Where are you? There's a student here that is looking for you, she said she wants to kill you.

"Bryle, what are you talking about?"

Oh hey, Julien. Where are you guys?

"We're at my dorm, what happened there?"

What?! Why are you guys in there?

"We didn't do anything, Bryle. Please, what's going on?"

Someone tried to kill Trixie at the gym a while ago while waiting for Amanda, she's still here to talk to you, Lance.

"What? What do you mean?" he stood up and pinch the bridge of his nose trying to calm down "How come someone attacked her? The Academy has a barrier to outsiders."

I don't even know, even the barrier in charge didn't notice something strange or anyone came in- Alright! Alright! Jeez, Lance. Trixie, wanted to talk to you now.

"No need, I'm heading to the office now." he grabbed his jacket at the dresser "Don't give her the phone-"

Mr. Lance Frost! Did you know what happened to me in the gym? I almost died! I thought this Academy has a barrier?!

"It has, it's impossible that there's an outsider that went through it."

Then why is it there's a Black empire came here and attacked me, huh?

"How are you sure that the one who attacked you is from the Black Empire, Trix?"

Duh? There's a raven crest that is left behind, I think she dropped it.

"Okay, I'm heading now." Lance hanged up the phone he sighed in stress in what he heard, I stood up and held his shirt. He turned to look at me and gave me a small smile.

"Lance, I'll come with you"

"No, stay here. You need to rest, you need it." I ignored him and wore the shoes lance took off while ago.

"I didn't ask for permission, I'll come with you."

AMANDA

"How is he?"

"Well, he's okay now, he'll wake up soon." I nodded and looked at Terrence that is peacefully sleeping right now. He's looking better than a while ago.

"Also, Ms. Perez." I looked at the Nurse "There's a new shirt here for Mr. Sutcliffe to wear when he wakes up."

She went out already, and I sat down by a chair next to Terrence. He's doing fine now and he's sleeping peacefully, I gave him some space and looked around the clinic. It's quite big, the stuff's here are complete. I looked into my reflection in the mirror and saw some dirt on my face, by the time when I wiped my face.

I looked into my eyes, at first glace something was wrong and different but when I blinked it was nothing.

"That's weird."

"Amanda." I turned around where it came from, it was Terrence. He was standing in front of me and he already changed his shirt.

"You're already awake, how are you feeling?"

"I'm fine now, thank you for bringing me here and for guarding me here as well."

"Oh, that was nothing. You look like you're dying when I saw you, you were bleeding like a lot" he just stares at me with his brows knitted together, I felt the awkwardness in this room on both of us.

"I should've not said that."

"Who cares, what's important now is that I'm alive." he walked outside the clinic leaving me behind.

"Looks like he's not really thankful for bringing him here." Suddenly the door opens again from where he went out, it's him standing there.

"Are you going to stay here forever?" I quickly went out together with him, as I got outside there's two people running towards us.

"Terrence!" it was Mindy and Nicholas that is running towards us "Just as I thought, you are here, Lance is looking for you."

"He wanted to talk about what happened earlier." Nicholas said "Also, the whole campus is under alert, Amanda you can take your rest for now."

"She's coming with us." we all looked at him "I'm sure Lance wanted to see her also, she also saved my life."

"But, is it okay for her to come with us? What if Lance-"

"No but's, you're coming with us Amanda."

MISTY

"Thank goodness you're okay, I thought something happened to you." I quickly stood up as I saw Julien entered the student council's Office with Lance, she looks and feels a bit nervous as I hugged her.

"Misty, I'm fine. Thank you."

"Where have you been?" I asked "When I heard about what happened to Trixie, I was immediately looking for you. You suddenly disappeared when we were on our rounds."

"I wasn't feeling well, I need to be alone for a while that time."

"It's good that you're with, Lance."

"Where's Trixie?" Bryle asked "Have you seen her?"

"I don't know, she was here a while ago. Have you told Mindy to come here?"

"Yeah, texted Nico. They're coming"

"Mindy, do you have the crest?" I reached for my pocket and gave it to him and sighed "It's a raven crest, they've gotten inside."

"This is the exact same Crest that I saw, when my dad was killed."

"What are we going to do, Lance?" I asked "Do you think they'll come back?"

"First is how did they got in?" he said "We need to find first on how they got inside, before we act something to change it"

"Do you think someone got in here first?" everyone looked at Jeth "Like one of them already got inside without us knowing or maybe they have an ally here helping them get inside?"

"How can you be so sure on what you're saying?" Julien asked

"Not a hundred percent, but what if one of us are going to be attacked again?" he said "What if we'll investigate them one by one?"

"Are you crazy? How can you investigate a Thousand of students?" I said "Can you do that huh, Jeth?"

"Guys, I was thinking. Do you think there's a spy, pretending to be like us?"

"Problem is, how are we going to know if he or she is a spy?"

"My grandfather once told me, that there's a mark on their shoulder."

"What kind of mark?"

"A crow that have red eyes in it, if that person has it then he's from there."

"Oh, Bryle. You're a grandfather's boy as always." Bryle gave me a little laugh, I saw Julien who is silently sitting down at the couch with her legs crossed, she looks so pale and uncomfortable, she stood up which grabs everyone's attention.

"Lance, I'll go back to the dorm and drink some medicine."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"Stay here, I'll be fine." she went out leaving us four here at the office, I stood up and got my bags from the couch.

"Misty where are you going?"

"Stay here, Bryle. Don't worry, I'm going to follow her."

LANCE

"A crow with red eyes, huh?"

I looked at the picture frame at my table, it was the photo of me and Aldren, making me think on what he said before. Aldren once told me that he those before, but he wasn't able to tell me where he saw it.

"Lance, they're here"

"Let them in, where's Nico?"

"Oh, he went with Jeth." Terrence came in followed by Amanda "Amanda, you're here."

"I let her come with me, she brought me to the clinic"

"Why? did something happened to you?"

"I was with Trixie when she was attacked, I was badly bleeding."

"I'm sorry that happened, please have a seat."

"It wasn't your fault, why apologize?"

"The Barrier that I made for this academy's safety, someone broke in." I reached out and opened the drawer beside me and gave it to Terrence.

"Left this after your sister being attacked."

"Is that a Crest?" Amanda looked into the crest Terrence is holding

"Where did you found it?" Mindy asked "Is this the one Trixie told us about?"

"Black empire and yes that's the one" they all looked at me except for Amanda, her eyes are still on the crest that Terrence is holding.

"What are they doing here?

"We are guessing that maybe someone helped them to get inside here, maybe one of the students are pretending that they're on the good side. Before I'll continue, where's Trixie?"

"She's outside, she doesn't want to come." Bryle took a quick glance at the door and whispered into my ear

"She's mad at you for what happened to Terrence."

"You know what, let her come in." Mindy stood up and opened the door to call Trixie, Crystal came inside first followed by Trixie.

"So, you're saying?"

"So, you're not going to say something?" she asked "Apologizing for what happened?"

"Why would I apologize?"

"None of this would happen if you didn't assign me to train with that girl, it almost costs my life and my brother being badly injured."

"Okay there's two things, one it's not my fault that your brother is badly injured and second, you are right. I would like to apologize for the inconvenience, now please sit down."

"Whatever."

"So, how do we know that they're spies of Black empire?" Mindy asked "Do you have any plans?"

"I can't inspect each and every student here, that's too tiring."

"I thought Bryle and Nicholas are the ones who are lazy, looks like they forgot one."

"Truth always comes out in the right time" I said "Let's not waste our time in it, also we have to keep in mind to be alert."

"Do you think my sister is one of them by any chance?"

"Excuse me?!" she looked at Terrence "What did you say?!"

"I'm your sister, how did your mind come up that I'm with that?!"

AMANDA

"Trixie?" I saw Trixie in the campus fountain, she is all by herself. I decided to go walk near her to confirm if she's really Trixie. As I got closer, I saw teardrops falling from her cheeks.

"Are You-Okay?" she quickly wiped her tears with her hand. "I'm sorry I disturbed you in your alone time."

"What do you want?"

"I was looking for you after the meeting inside, I wanted to say sorry for being late." I said "Then I saw you here, I thought it's the best time to apologize about it."

"It already happened, there's nothing to be apologized for."

"I don't mean to interfere but are you okay?" she didn't answer and ignored me, I stood there for a minute and I saw a picture in her lap, trying to hide it using her palms.

"I'll be going now, sorry to interrupt-" when I turned around, she suddenly spoke which made me looked back at her.

"Someone could talk or vent out to can help." she said "You can sit next to me before I change my mind."

I smiled and quickly sat beside her and let out a sigh, the weather is good as always. The cold is at the right amount, the fog is okay and the sun is not that hot too. The sound of water fountain in front of us is so relaxing to hear.

"Something is bothering for a long time." I looked at her, her gaze is in the water fountain, she sighed so deep and saw her biting her lips like she wanted to say something but cannot say it. I looked unto her lap and there's a picture, a picture of a guy.

"I'm sorry, I-I really cannot spit it out-"

"You missed my brother." I said directly cutting her off from what excuse she's saying "My brother's picture is in your lap, you failed in hiding it from me." I gave her a small smile, she looked at me straight from the eye. Her eyes are watery looking at me that any second, she could burst into tears.

"Also, when I was still blind. I can overhear my brother talking by himself on how much he loves you, he sounds crazy sometimes. I even heard him praying for you, that one day you'll become his wife and love you forever." She still looked at me "I'm sorry about your break up, I know he didn't mean that he loves you so much."

"He didn't break up with me." she said "I'm the one who broke up with him."

"I broke up with him for a reason, it was his wish, so I granted it." she said tears started to fell down in her cheeks and she started crying so hard.

"I miss him so much." seeing her cry made me hug her tight, making me want to cry.

"It's okay, Trixie." I said "I missed him too."

AMANDA

"Here's your things, they're all packed up for your dormitory." I thanked Nanny Lory for preparing my things which she really insisted to do it and went back.

"Where's Crystal?" I stare at my phone calling Crystal but it can't be contacted. "I've called her many times now, is she okay?"

"I'm here!" she suddenly opened my room opening her arms so wide and waved 'Hi' "Hey, Amanda!"

"Where have you been?" she gave me a tight hug. "I can't contact you."

"Sorry I made you worried, me and the other guys just had sudden plans lately and we went for it." She laughed. "But don't worry all of us are fine, sorry for being late."

"What are you wearing?" She's wearing an outfit for winter "You went where exactly?"

"Oh, I'm-I mean we just went to Korea."

"What- I mean how?"

"You know Nicholas?" she whispered "He had those abilities that can teleport to another places."

"That's cool." she wrapped her hands around my arms clinging into me. "You seem a bit happy?"

"By the way, I bought a jar of kimchi." she gave me a wide smile "I know it's your favorite."

"Thank you, Crystal. Seems your sudden travel to Korea is really worth it." we went out and go downstairs to the kitchen and saw Nanny Lory putting some small plates that has kimchi into the table.

"You girls, both of you sit down."

"Do you know what happened?" I whispered at Nanny "She seemed so happy; did she tell you something?"

"Nope"

"You look happy, Crystal." I said "Did something nice happened?"

"Oh, no. Nothing, really." she smiled holding and playing her fork in the table and sighed. She seems so happy I wonder what happened before she came here? No matter what that is, I'm happy for her.

"Ma'am, you have a visitor." the maid said "Do you expect some visitors this time?"

"No, who is he?"

"Sorry to disturb you, Amanda." a tall guy who is wearing his casual clothes suddenly entered our home, wearing his expressionless face but little bit annoyed. "But I need you to come with me."

"Terrence?!, why are you here? How do you know where I lived?"

"I saw Jeth's car on the road and Crystal's with him." I looked at Crystal who looked away and goes back to eating her dinner. "So, I was thinking that maybe Crystal is coming here, turns out I was right."

"Yeah, Fire boy." Crystal teased

"Sorry, about what you said? Did something happen?"

"I have no time to explain." he suddenly grabbed my wrist walking out from the dining room to outside of my home. His car is waiting in front of the house, he opens the door for me and left me standing, I looked at him confused.

"Where are we actually going?" I asked "You're not going to kidnap me, aren't you?"

"Why would I kidnap you?" he goes inside the car and went inside too, she starts the car and drove. The atmosphere is silence and decided to break it.

"Where are we actually going?"

"Trixie asked me to get you"

"Did she tell you 'Why'?"

"No, I was asked even though I didn't know where you live."

"Well, now you know." I sighed looking at the window and whispered "I haven't taken a bite from our dinner."

"You know, it's weird." I looked at him, his eyes were on the road "Your house seemed familiar to me."
