Chapter 1 1.

Leo stood under the shadow of an old building, lighting a cigarette between his blood-stained fingers. The scent of tobacco mixed with the metallic tang of iron, wafting from the man sprawled at his feet. His eyes were empty, devoid of emotion. A single bullet had lodged in the man's head, the traitor who dared to sell information to his enemies.

Leo took a deep breath. The man should've known betrayal in this business only led to one thing: death.

He reached into his suit pocket, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe the remaining blood from his hands before flicking away the half-burnt cigarette. His steps were steady as he left the narrow alley, heading toward the car waiting for him at the end of the street. The rain poured relentlessly, muffling the sound of his footsteps.

As soon as he settled into the back seat, a middle-aged man with a hardened face glanced at him through the rearview mirror.

"Is it done?"

Leo didn't answer. He only nodded.

The man, Rafael, gripped the steering wheel and pulled the car smoothly onto the slick, glistening roads under the streetlights.

"Do you want to go straight home?" Rafael asked.

Leo hesitated. For a moment, he considered saying yes until his phone buzzed. A message popped up on the screen, making his eyes narrow.

"Come home. There's something you need to see."

The sender was unexpected, one of his trusted men stationed at his own house.

Leo clenched his fist. A sudden coldness settled in his chest.

"No," he said at last. "Take me home."

The front door swung open with a sharp push.

Leo stepped into his vast, opulent home, its walls adorned with priceless artwork, a grand chandelier hanging from the high ceiling. But all the luxury in the world couldn't shake the bad feeling that had been creeping up on him since he received that message.

His strides were quick and deliberate as he ascended the stairs, heading straight for the master bedroom.

When he pushed the door open, his heartbeat seemed to stop.

There, in the bed that was supposed to be his and his wife's, were two entwined bodies.

Hana, his wife, jolted awake, her face turning ghostly pale at the sight of the figure standing in the doorway. The man beside her scrambled, yanking the sheets up to cover his naked body in sheer panic.

Leo recognized him.

His own best friend.

For the first time in a long while, something inside Leo shattered. Not because he still loved Hana, but because the betrayal was so blatant, so shameless.

"I can explain-" Hana's voice trembled, but Leo lifted a hand, silencing her.

His cold gaze shifted to the man who had once called him a friend. The bastard couldn't even meet his eyes.

Leo didn't yell. He didn't lash out.

Instead, he smiled, a smile that made Hana shrink back in fear.

"You can have her," Leo said quietly. "Because from this moment on, she is nothing to me."

With that, he turned and walked out. But before he left, he whispered to one of his men standing by the door.

"Make sure he never gets to enjoy life peacefully after this."

Then, he was gone.

He didn't need to stay and witness the rest of the night. He already knew his ex-wife and the man who betrayed him would never live the same way again.

That morning, the divorce proceedings were swift.

Hana, who had once carried herself with such arrogance, now looked like a broken woman, pleading for forgiveness. But Leo remained silent, refusing to give her even a single response.

In the end, the judge ruled in his favor, granting him full custody of Sofia, their daughter. Hana tried to fight the decision, but Leo's lawyer effortlessly dismantled her weak arguments.

When it was over, Leo stepped out of the courtroom, where Rafael was already waiting.

"Everything went as planned," Rafael said. "She lost everything."

Leo only nodded.

"But that's not what matters most," he murmured.

Rafael turned to him. "Then what is?"

Leo's gaze drifted far beyond the busy streets of the city.

"Sofia."

Because he might have failed as a husband, but he would never fail as a father.

The rain had just stopped when Leo arrived at his new home. It wasn't as big as his old house, but it was comfortable and, more importantly, safe for Sofia.

As soon as he stepped into the living room, he saw his daughter sitting on the floor, clutching a doll in her arms. The five-year-old girl lifted her head, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw her father walk in.

"Papa!" Sofia sprang to her feet and ran toward him.

Leo knelt down, catching his little girl in his arms. The warmth of her small body was the only thing that reminded him the world wasn't entirely broken.

"Were you busy, Papa?" Sofia asked innocently.

Leo gave her a small smile. "Not anymore, sweetheart."

Satisfied with his answer, Sofia rested her head on his shoulder, as if this was the safest place in the world.

Leo stared blankly into the distance. Memories of his past with Hana played in his mind, how they used to love each other, how he once believed they would build a family together.

But the truth was, not all women were worthy of devotion.

Hana had made her choice, and now, Leo had made his.

That night, after Sofia had fallen asleep, Leo sat in his small study, staring at his buzzing phone. The name flashing on the screen made him smirk slightly.

He answered the call without saying a word.

"You're really not going to give her another chance?"

Leo recognized the voice Elio, an old friend from the underworld.

"A chance?" Leo let out a dry chuckle, void of any humor. "She chose her own destruction."

Elio sighed on the other end. "You know what? Your ex-wife is trying to seek protection from someone you know well."

Leo raised an eyebrow. "Who?"

"Ricardo."

Leo scoffed. Ricardo was one of the underworld's power players, with countless connections. But no matter how strong the man was, he was no match for Leo.

"Let her," Leo said calmly. "You know what happens to those who try to protect a traitor."

There was a brief silence before Elio finally replied, "Alright. But don't forget the underworld always has its own way of seeking revenge."

Leo gave a faint smile before ending the call.

He leaned back in his chair, gazing out the window. The night outside was calm, but Leo knew a storm was coming.

And this time, he was ready.

Chapter 2 2.

Leo woke up earlier than usual. Not because of an alarm or business matters, but because of the sound of soft laughter from the next room. He rubbed his face, took a deep breath, and got out of bed.

When he opened the door, the first thing he saw was Sofia sitting on the floor with a teddy bear on her lap. Her long brown hair was slightly messy, but the smile on her face was bright.

"Papa's awake!" Sofia exclaimed happily, running towards him.

Leo crouched down, catching the small body in his arms. He felt warmth something he rarely experienced.

"Why are you up so early, hmm?" he asked gently.

Sofia grinned. "I want to have breakfast with Papa!"

Leo chuckled. "Alright, let's make breakfast together."

They went downstairs to the kitchen, and for the first time in a long while, Leo tried cooking something simple pancakes and scrambled eggs. Sofia sat at the table, watching with excitement as her father mixed the batter.

As they started eating, Sofia chewed slowly before looking up at Leo with her innocent eyes.

"Papa," she called. "Where's Mama?"

Leo paused. That question had finally come.

Sofia was still too young to understand a lie, but also too little to face the harsh truth.

"Mama doesn't live with us anymore, sweetheart," Leo answered carefully. "But Papa is here for you."

Sofia nodded slightly. "Mama doesn't like me, does she?"

Leo felt something tighten in his chest. He set his fork down and gently stroked his daughter's head.

"Mama loves you, Sofia," he said, though he wasn't sure if the words were true. "Never think that no one loves you."

Sofia stared at him for a moment, then gave a small smile before continuing to eat.

Leo watched his daughter in silence, making a promise to himself that no matter how dark the world was, Sofia would never feel the same pain he had endured.

That afternoon, at Leo's underworld headquarters.

Rafael stood beside the desk, arms crossed as he delivered his report.

"Ricardo is making moves. Looks like he wants revenge for Hana," he said.

Leo wasn't surprised. He had expected this.

"What is he doing?"

"So far, just gathering information about you and Sofia. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries a more subtle approach-using the law, for example."

Leo smirked coldly. "Does he think I'm not prepared?"

Rafael shrugged. "I just want to make sure you know this isn't over."

Leo gazed out the window, his thoughts spinning.

Ricardo wasn't a small threat, but he also wasn't someone Leo couldn't handle.

But one thing angered him more than Ricardo's threats the fact that Hana was still trying to mess with his life, even after everything.

Leo received a call he never expected. His phone vibrated, displaying a number he hadn't seen in a long time.

Hana.

He hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Leo." Her voice was weak, almost trembling. "I know you hate me, but please, I need to talk to you."

Leo remained silent, waiting.

"I... I made a mistake," she continued. "I don't know why I did it. I was stupid, Leo. I want to fix everything."

Leo let out a dry chuckle. "Fix? Hana, we're done. You made your choice."

"But Sofia... I want to see Sofia."

Leo clenched his jaw. So that was it.

"You want to see Sofia? After you destroyed this family?" His voice was low, sharp.

Hana sobbed. "She's my daughter too, Leo."

"No," Leo cut her off. "You lost that right the moment you chose to betray your own family."

There was a long silence on the other end of the line.

Then, Hana's voice changed. It was sharper. Colder.

"Alright," she said. "Then don't blame me if I fight to get her back."

The call ended.

Leo stared at his phone, his jaw tightening.

Hana had just declared war. And he wasn't going to sit still.

After the call, his mind was consumed by something he had long tried to ignore his anger.

Not just towards Hana. But towards all women like her.

Traitors. Liars. Women who sold their dignity for their own gain.

Leo exhaled deeply, gripping the nearly empty whiskey glass in his hand.

"How many women like Hana are still out there?" he thought. "How many men have suffered the same humiliation?"

He looked at the mirror across the room, seeing his own reflection.

The man who once loved sincerely was gone.

All that remained was someone who understood one thing: in this world, no one was truly loyal.

And if the world was filled with women like Hana then he was going to do something about it.

The next day, Rafael approached him with new news.

"Ricardo sent someone to watch us," he said.

Leo raised an eyebrow. "Who?"

Rafael pulled out a photo from a folder. A tall, red-haired woman wearing a tight black dress.

"Her name is Evelyn. One of Ricardo's mistresses. Smart, sly, and good at digging up information."

Leo took the photo, staring at it for a long time.

Here it is. His first target.

A thin smile curved his lips.

"I want to see how long she can last if I play with her."

Rafael looked at him suspiciously. "What do you mean?"

Leo leaned back in his chair, swinging Evelyn's photo between his fingers.

"I just want to teach someone a lesson about loyalty," he said casually.

Rafael sighed. "You're becoming dangerous, Leo."

Leo chuckled softly. "We're all dangerous, Rafael. I'm just starting to play my own game."

That night, Evelyn walked alone into a fancy bar.

She didn't know Leo had been watching her since she walked in.

She looked confident, with a seductive smile clearly used to attract rich men. Leo leaned back in his chair, observing. "Just like Hana," he thought coldly. This woman cared for no one but herself.

Leo finally stood up and walked toward her. "Can I buy you a drink?" he asked in a low voice.

Evelyn turned, her eyes appraising Leo from head to toe.

Her smile widened. "Of course."

Leo knew how this game worked. Evelyn didn't know him personally, she only knew his name in the underworld.

And tonight, he was going to make her get to know him better.

But not in the way she expected.

Three days later.

Evelyn sat in her apartment, her hands trembling as she read something on her phone screen.

All her personal data bank accounts, illegal transactions with Ricardo, even proof of her affair with another man had been leaked on the internet. Not only that. Leo had also set something more cunning in motion. He made Evelyn accused of stealing money from Ricardo. Now, her life was in danger.

Evelyn tried to call someone, but no one answered. Her apartment door was knocked. Her heart raced. Slowly, she walked toward the door, her hands shaking as she unlocked it.

And there, standing, was Leo with a cold smile on his face.

"You look panicked, Evelyn," he said casually.

Evelyn swallowed hard. "What are you doing?"

Leo stepped inside, closing the door behind him.

"I'm just showing you what happens when someone plays on both sides."

Evelyn shook her head, her face pale. "I never betrayed you, Leo didn't even know you..."

"It's not just me," Leo interrupted. "I'm just tired of seeing women like you and Hana roam free, destroying men's lives without consequences."

Evelyn took a step back. "I... I can explain..."

Leo leaned forward, his voice low.

"Explain to who? Ricardo? You think he'll believe you after seeing all the evidence I've sent?"

Evelyn's face turned fearful.

Leo smiled coldly.

"Now you know what it feels like to be betrayed."

Then he turned and left, leaving Evelyn in ruins.

One down. And many more to follow.

At home, Leo watched Sofia sleeping in her bed. He gently stroked his daughter's head. He would never let Sofia become like them.

If he had to become a monster to make sure that didn't happen, then he would do it without hesitation.

Leo smiled faintly, then left the room. In the darkness, he took out his phone and called Rafael.

"Who's next?"

Chapter 3 3.

Leo stepped into the club, the atmosphere tight yet overwhelmingly crowded with the pounding beats of the season and glittering lights radiating from every corner. The spinning disco lights created strange patterns in the air, reflecting the chaotic world that mirrored the turmoil in his mind. The people around him seemed immersed in their own joy, but Leo wasn't the least bit interested. He had come tonight for a different purpose, to pursue another one of his wild ideas.

His presence went unnoticed by the partygoers, yet every step Leo took seemed to lead him closer to the bitter reality he wanted to forget, even if just for a moment. He walked over to the bar, sat down, and ordered a whiskey, which he downed in one go. Each sip tasted bitter, seeping deep into his being. He wasn't looking for an escape. Only revenge could make him feel alive again.

Not long after, a woman with long black hair walked past Leo. She wore a tight black dress that elegantly accentuated her curves. Her face carried a soft smile, but her eyes radiated a challenge. Without a word, she approached Leo and sat down beside him. Her gaze seemed to assess him, sharp and calculating.

"You look like you've got a lot on your mind and need an outlet," the woman said in a seductive tone, as if she could read exactly what was going through Leo's head.

Leo glanced at her briefly, his face showing no interest. "I'm not here for entertainment," he replied flatly, turning away and trying to take another sip of his whiskey, which now tasted increasingly bland.

The woman didn't give up. She leaned in closer, her warm breath brushing against Leo's ear. "Then what *are* you looking for?" she asked, her voice laced with hidden meaning. "I can tell you're fighting something bigger than just loneliness."

Leo finally turned to face her, and for the first time, he let his eyes meet hers. There was no attraction only emptiness. But he knew what he wanted. He wanted to destroy something, to ruin whatever was in front of him, and this woman, with all her allure, might just be the best option for now.

The woman understood without needing further explanation. With unwavering confidence, she pulled Leo closer by the neck, forcing him to lean in. No questions, just action.

Without warning, they kissed. It wasn't gentle it was full of raw passion and urgency. Leo let it happen, though his mind remained detached. The kiss shook him, but not out of love or desire. It was the pain he was trying to bury that surfaced instead. The woman didn't wait, didn't seek permission. She pressed on with intensity, fueled by a fiery passion.

Yet, in the midst of the increasingly heated kiss, Leo felt how hollow it all was. This wasn't the release he was searching for. It was just a desire to destroy a way to ruin himself, just as he wanted to ruin the life of the person who had destroyed his.

He pulled away abruptly, leaving the woman momentarily silent. "I don't need this," he said in a low but firm voice.

The woman stared at him with a curious gaze, but Leo was no longer interested. Yet, there was something in her eyes that made her unwilling to give up so easily. She leaned in again, her smile growing more enticing. "Are you sure you don't want to continue? The night is still young," she said in a sensual, captivating tone.

Leo paused for a moment. He studied her, feeling the exhaustion in his heart. There was nothing he was searching for except an outlet for his pain. And this woman had appeared out of nowhere, offering him exactly that. He took a deep breath, then stood up and gave a slow nod.

"Fine," he said flatly. "Let's spend the night together."

Leo stepped out of the club, followed by the woman who still radiated an alluring aura. The cold night air brushed against his face, but it couldn't cool the storm raging in his mind. The woman smiled faintly, as if she knew Leo couldn't resist her. Without much conversation, they headed to Leo's luxury car, and within minutes, they were speeding toward one of the upscale hotels owned by Leo.

The hotel stood majestically in the heart of the city, its lights exuding opulence. Leo didn't need to show a membership card or check in. The staff immediately recognized him and ushered them in with respectful gestures. The woman glanced at Leo curiously, her interest piqued by the mysterious man beside her.

They took the elevator to the best suite on the top floor. As the elevator doors opened, a lavish and quiet hallway greeted them. Leo unlocked the room with a key card, and the woman stepped inside, her eyes sparkling at the luxury before her.

"You really have taste," she said, walking toward the large window that showcased the city's night view. Leo didn't respond. He simply closed the door quietly, took off his jacket, and placed it on the sofa.

The woman turned around, looking at Leo with a meaningful gaze. "So, what's your plan for tonight?" she asked, her voice seductive.

Leo approached her with calm steps. Without a word, he pulled her into his embrace. Their kiss this time was hotter, more passionate. Leo felt her body press tightly against his, and his hands began to explore her back, feeling every curve beneath her tight black dress.

The woman let out a soft moan, her hands gripping Leo's neck, pulling him closer. Leo didn't hold back. His hands moved to her waist, then slowly up to her chest. He squeezed gently, hearing her moans grow louder.

But behind it all, Leo's mind remained cold. He knew what he had to do. With a subtle movement, he pulled out a small syringe from his pocket. The clear liquid inside glinted under the room's light. The woman was too engrossed in their kiss to notice what was happening.

Leo took a deep breath, then quickly injected the needle into her arm. The woman groaned, more out of shock than pain. "What-" she started, but before she could finish her sentence, her vision began to blur.

Leo held her tightly, making sure she didn't fall. Within seconds, her body went limp, and Leo carefully laid her down on the edge of the bed. He stood for a moment, staring at the now-helpless woman. There was no regret in his eyes, only tension waiting to be released.

He took out his phone and called Rafael. "I need you in my suite. Now," he said briefly before hanging up.

A few minutes later, Rafael appeared at the door. The man was tall and broad, with a cold gaze that matched his line of work. He glanced at the woman lying on the bed, then looked at Leo. "Ready?" he asked.

Leo nodded. "Take her to the black room. I'll catch up."

Rafael didn't say much. He lifted the woman's body effortlessly and carried her out of the room. Leo followed behind, his mind already drifting to what would happen next.
