Chapter 1
Luna was busy tidying up her things when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She wouldn't have paid attention, but she heard the voice.
"Hey, workaholic! That's enough." She laughed, turned around, and removed the hand from her arm as it tried to put itself around her shoulders.
"Stop it, Miks. What do you want this time?" she asked. Miks smiled so sweetly that it made her raise an eyebrow. "I don't like that smile of yours, Miks Lanuevo," she said, but he just put his arm around her again.
Miks Lanuevo was one of her friends, a fellow lawyer, and her classmate since high school through college. As a result, she was always involved in his antics.
"Come on, don't you trust me?" he said, raising and lowering his eyebrows. She frowned. "And besides, the others are coming too," he mentioned their other friends.
She suddenly stopped. "Really? I thought they were busy?" she raised an eyebrow at him. Miks might be a joker, but he wasn't a liar. Still, she didn't believe him. If she was a workaholic, their friend Kahizer Javier was even more so.
Kahizer was the busiest of them all, as if there was no day for enjoyment. He liked being on top and hated being defeated, so no one could surpass him.
"Yes, they are! So, come with us!" Miks insisted. She removed his arm from her shoulders and grabbed her bag.
"Well, I'm done with the case I was handling, so..." she smiled, making him smile even more. "It's not wrong if I join the party tonight." To her surprise, he started jumping up and down.
"Ohh! That's my friend!" he shouted. She laughed but quickly stopped when she saw other people staring at them.
She scolded him and continued walking out of the courthouse. Her car had a flat tire earlier, so she commuted to work. And now? She thought, she might as well join her friend.
LUNA's POV
"Is everyone coming?" I couldn't help but ask the person next to me. From outside the car, he shifted his gaze to me.
"Hmm. I don't know, but I'm sure almost everyone will be there," Miks replied. I just nodded.
Even though I missed many of them, there was only one person I was really looking forward to seeing. God knows how much I missed him. But... I guess it doesn't mean anything. I just want to see him, nothing more.
A few moments later, we arrived at the party venue. It was a large hotel owned by the spouse of one of our friends. It was near the sea, and we could swim there.
There were many people, and I hardly recognized any of them. I've been all about work and home since I graduated. So, I was a bit afraid of people.
We hadn't even entered yet when someone blocked our way. "Yoo!" he greeted cheerfully. Miks shook his head with a smile.
"You startled me, James!" he playfully hit his friend's arm. But when James's eyes landed on me, they widened. I laughed.
"L-Luna!" he exclaimed and came closer. He hugged me, and I hugged him back.
James was one of our friends. In college, he was the biggest womanizer and the loudest. I was happy to see him because he was close to me despite his craziness.
We entered and found many people and loud music. Like us, everyone was dressed formally.
"Where are the others, James?" I heard Miks ask. James paused to look at us. He smiled.
"At the table. We've been waiting for you," he said as he took our hands. It wasn't a big deal for us, we're just friends, and it stayed that way.
A few moments later, we reached the table he mentioned. And he was right; our friends were there. They were noisy but fell silent when they saw us. Their expressions were shocked, and they suddenly stood up.
"Ouch, damn you, Calix!" James groaned as Calix pushed him away from us. Like James, Calix hugged both Miks and me.
"Calix," I laughed as he pushed James again as he tried to come closer.
The others approached, but I stopped when I noticed a woman sitting in a chair. She was staring at me.
'Do I know her?'
When they noticed me looking at her, they turned to the woman. "Oh. Luna, this is Mika. Mika, this is Luna. Kahizer's closest friend," Janice introduced the woman..
Confusion filled my system, but I chose to smile. She stood up and extended her hand. "Nice meeting you, Luna," she said, a small smile forming on her lips. I accepted her hand.
"Oh, c'mon! Let's enjoy the party!" Amanda exclaimed as they turned to look at her. She had just arrived, holding a glass of wine. She gulped it down and dragged Santino to the dance floor. Our companions started to make noise while I remained seated.
I'm not much of a party-goer, and I'm a little uncomfortable, especially since I noticed Mika kept glancing at me.
I reached for the glass of juice in front of me and drank it. I only came here to talk to Khaizer... but he didn't even show up.
"Are you close with Khaizer?" Mika's question caught me off guard. She was now staring at me, waiting for my answer.
I put down the glass and smiled awkwardly. I don't know... but she's making me uncomfortable with her stares, the way she looks at me, and the way she asks. Her tone.
I shook my head. "Not really," I replied briefly, avoiding her gaze. I can't say that Khai and I are very close, it's just... he's comfortable with me, like he told me before.
The woman seemed unconvinced but chose to nod and smile slightly.
Why is she asking me that kind of question? Is she... wait.
My eyes widened, and I looked away from her.
Khaizer's fling?
I swallowed hard. It wouldn't be surprising because of his charm and looks. It's just... hard to believe that he...
"Your juice is gone," Mika said, pointing at my empty glass. I looked at it, and she was right; it was empty. "Do you want me to get~" I quickly shook my head.
"N-No. But thank~" Before I could finish my sentence, she had already taken my glass and stood up. She smiled.
"Come on. You don't have to be shy. I'm trying to make friends with you," she said.
I pressed my lips together and nodded slightly. I couldn't refuse. Besides, she said she just wanted to make friends.
"Okay. I'll go ahead, then," she said, turning and walking away. Danna nudged me.
"What did you talk about?" she asked.
I shook my head. "Nothing. She said she'll get me some juice," I replied. Danna raised an eyebrow.
"Trying to make friends with you?" I nodded. She shook her head and took a sip from her glass.
In our group, Danna is the boyish and very observant one.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't think she's sincere, Luna," she replied, very straightforwardly. I frowned.
"What do you mean?" She just 'tsk-ed.'
"You're a lawyer, Lun. You should be the one to notice." I was confused by what she said. "I think she likes Khaizer," she added. "And maybe that's why she's trying to make friends with you." I was stunned by what she said.
"You think so?" She didn't respond. We both noticed Mika approaching with the juice, so I straightened up.
"Open your eyes wide, Lun. She has plans," Danna whispered. I shook my head.
"She won't get anything from me, Dan. Khaizer isn't here~"
"You're wrong about that," she said just as I saw Khaizer behind Mika.
He looked so serious, cold, emotionless but very attractive. Mika was smiling widely while looking at me. But I frowned when I noticed the kind of smile she had.
"She's grinning," I whispered
Luna couldn't help but feel awkward around, and she also couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the behavior of the woman beside Khaizer. She knew even their companions were noticing, but they remained noisy and went along with the others' antics, but not her.
She felt heavy-hearted toward Khaizer because since he sat with them, he hadn't spoken to her or even checked on her. He only seemed surprised when he saw her, but when she smiled at him, he only gave a simple nod and looked away.
She couldn't help but pout and mentally curse her best friend. She missed him, but he didn't show any reaction when he saw her.
He's cold...
She felt a hand on her bare back. "That girl is really weird," Danna whispered to her. She reached for the juice and secretly glanced at Mika. She's extra sweet... and clingy.
Mika was always smiling at Khaizer and seemed to be softening her voice, which made Luna frown.
"She's not cute."
She saw how Khaizer's eyes landed on her. She didn't look away.
He didn't show any reaction. It's like... he's staring at her like she's boring.
His dark eyes slowly traveled down her body, making her frown. His eyes stopped and seemed to lock onto something. Following his gaze, she realized he was staring at her chest.
"Hey! I've been calling you," James nudged Khaizer, who seemed to come back to his senses.
Luna unconsciously swallowed and blushed, covering her chest.
"You okay?" she heard Danna ask beside her. She didn't look at her but nodded in response.
This is all Mika's fault.
The surroundings got noisier when romantic music started playing, and people began dancing..

Chapter 2
Clyde tried to pull me for a dance, but I declined. I stayed seated and just watched them. Janus, Mika, Khaizer, and I were left at our table.
I only drank juice because I didn't feel like drinking alcohol. I'm not used to it. "Shall we dance, Khaizer?" I looked at Mika when she invited him. She's looking at him with her seductive smile.
I tried to ignore them, but... "I'm not in the mood to dance, Ms. Santos," Khaizer replied coldly.
I couldn't help but smile inwardly. That's right, Khai... keep that up. Ignore that woman beside you.
Janus then stood up. I thought he was heading to the dance floor, but he approached my seat.
I looked up at him. "Let's have a dance, Luna. Please...?" he extended his hand.
Janus, one of my trusted friends. He used to be quiet but seems to have become more mischievous now. However, he's still very kind.
I smiled. "She doesn't know how to dance, Janus," someone interjected.
I gaped at the remark and slowly turned to look at the speaker, my eyebrows furrowed. He stared blankly at the man.
He then turned his gaze to Mika. "Why don't you dance with him, Ms. Santos?" Mika seemed surprised. "Jans, I would appreciate it if you danced with her. She's the daughter of your father's business partner."
Janus raised an eyebrow but eventually smiled. "Sure." He turned to Mika. "Shall we?" I remained silent.
Mika hesitantly accepted Janus's hand, and they walked to the dance floor. As they moved away, I looked at Khaizer with a furrowed brow.
"Why did you" he cut me off.
"How have you been?" he asked. I was taken aback. Now he's talking...
I looked away. "Good," I replied briefly. "You know I can dance, so why did you embarrass me?" he frowned at me.
"You think I embarrassed you?" he asked, seemingly incredulous. I rolled my eyes. What else did he do? He lied, and Mika was beside him at the time. And I saw how she grinned, clearly enjoying the lie.
A waiter passed by with a glass of wine, so I immediately called him. "Can I have that liquor, please?" he stopped.
He smiled hesitantly. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but there's~"
"Please?" He didn't seem willing to give it to me, so I took it.
"Thank you." The man scratched his head and walked away. I ignored him and drank the contents.
"You can't just drink someone's drink, Quinn," Khaizer said.
I put down the glass. "Why? There's probably no sleeping pill in what I drank, right?" I finished it, so I stayed quiet and just watched our companions until they returned.
Mika sat beside me, while Amanda was on my other side. They both lightened my mood. "Are you okay?" Danna, who was next to Amanda, asked.
"You're blushing," Miks noted. I touched my cheek.
"Maybe it's because of what I drank," I replied. They nodded. Our area became noisier because of the antics of Clyde and the others. They were teasing each other, making the place even louder
"What did you drink?" Janice asked with furrowed brows when she saw Luna's face. It was bright red, and her movements were unusual for someone who never acted that way.
Luna was restless and different, especially in her speech. "I don't know," she answered.
Others shook their heads at her reply. She looked drowsy and her voice was soft and seductive. They suspected something, but no one spoke up.
No one else noticed because they were busy having fun, except for those who stayed in their spot and observed.
Miks glanced at Khaizer, who was intently watching Luna. He showed no reaction, but his rigid posture was noticeable.
"Did Luna drink alcohol?" Miks couldn't help but ask the man. The woman beside him, Mika, frowned. It was clear she didn't care about their friend, but she acted concerned.
"She drank someone's drink," he replied coldly. Miks looked at her friend, whose cheeks were flushed red.
"Why didn't you stop her?" Danna asked her friend angrily. Khaizer just 'tsk-ed'.
"Who could stop her? She's hardheaded, you all know that," he answered in a firm tone. They fell silent.
It was true, but he should have stopped her. They were at a party, and it was likely that Luna drank something mixed with drugs.
Suddenly, Luna stood up and grabbed the purse on the table. "Where are you going?" Miks asked her friend frantically. Amanda raised an eyebrow at her friend who smiled.
"R-Restroom." Her eyes seemed to dance as the surroundings spun. Her head ached, and she wanted to lie down, but she also wanted to enjoy the party and dance with someone she didn't know.
"I'll go with you," Amanda offered. She knew what it felt like to be drugged. She was a doctor and could help, and besides, she had been drugged during their college days, which led to her early pregnancy. However, the advantage was that the man she was with was her long-time boyfriend, who stayed with her after learning she was pregnant.
Despite her quirks, she was concerned for her friend. Although she often pushed her friend Luna into hookups, she didn't want just anyone to take advantage of her.
But Luna shook her head, telling her 'no'. "I can manage, Amanda. But thank you." She walked away. They watched her until she was out of sight.
"Do you think her drink was spiked with drugs?" Miks asked Danna, who remained silent.
"We all know she's not used to drinking, so maybe it's just the alcohol. Maybe it's not drugs," Danna said, though she knew her friend's suspicion wasn't far-fetched.
Amanda shook her head. "We'd better watch her if we don't want her out of our sight," she said. "Someone might just pick her up." At that moment, Khaizer stood up.
Mika, who was offering him a drink, stopped when he stood. "I'll be going," he said. They were confused by his statement.
"Where? To Luna?" Miks asked him. He didn't answer. He just looked at her with bored eyes.
Janice frowned. "Don't tell me you don't care about our friend, Khaizer?" she couldn't help but raise her voice. His demeanor suggested he had no intention of following her.
"You should follow her, Khaizer. Someone might take advantage of her. We know you can handle her. Besides, you two were always together before," Amanda said, but he turned his back on them and started to walk away.
"K-Khaizer!" Mika called after him. She was about to stand when Danna stopped her.
"Don't you dare stand up, Mika. I'm warning you," she said coldly. Mika froze and glared at her.
"What the h*ll are you"
Danna smirked. "You think we don't know what you're up to?" Janice and the others looked at their friend. Here she was again, picking a fight with someone she didn't like. "You're trying to steal Khaizer's attention from our friend, Luna."
The woman didn't seem to understand her tone, so she sneered. "So you already know. What does it matter to you? Are you jealous?" Danna clenched her fist.
Miks held her hand. "Stop it, Danna. Maybe~" she pushed her away.
"You're trying to ruin someone's relationship here, Santos," she said coldly. "And I'm warning you. If you ever try to interfere in their relationship, you'll have to deal with me." She stood up and took a step closer to the woman.
Mika stood up but quickly sat back down when Danna pushed her. Their eyes widened.
"Danna..." Miks stood up to stop her friend, but Amanda and Janice held her hand.
"Let it be, Miks. You know how stubborn she is," Amanda said, shaking her head. "And she's just helping our friend," she added.
"Yeah. That b*tch is trying to flirt with one of our friends. We can't just sit and behave," she agreed.
Miks shook her head but laughed and let her friend be. They watched them like it was a movie. It was fine as long as their other companions hadn't arrived yet.
"Hey, Janice," Amanda called her friend. She turned to her. "Watch out for Clyde and the others if they arrive, okay? You're the lookout." They laughed. It felt like college again, always doing this to avoid getting caught. Their male friends always stopped their mischief when they got caught.
Janice grinned and gave them a thumbs up, making them laugh. Miks shook her head. They turned their attention back to the two. Mika seemed frozen in her seat as Danna glared at her.
"If you won't take this seriously, this warning might be your last." The three friends went 'oh' when they heard Danna's words.
"Wow, we're tough," Miks and Amanda high-fived, laughing.
Mika tried to act tough. "You have no right to do this to me. You don't have the right to threaten me!" she shouted. Danna smirked, making their eyes widen.
"She's acting cool, Mare!" Janice squealed, hitting Amanda's arm.
Danna leaned closer, placing her hands on the backrest of Mika's chair, and grinned. "Yeah. Maybe I don't have the right. But do you think you have the right to ruin someone's relationship?"
The woman froze when Danna's face got closer. "Answer her!" Janice interjected.
Amanda laughed. "What now?"
"Answer her, b*tch!" Miks joined in on the fun.
"I-I don't need to have that d*mn right you're talking about. They don't even have a relationship! They're just friends!" she shouted. Danna laughed sarcastically.
"Shut up, dear. You don't know anything, so you have no right to say that," she said. "You're just one of those wh*res trying to get his attention just to be f*cked." Danna's harsh words made Mika grit her teeth, feeling insulted.
"You b*tch" She was about to slap Danna, but Danna moved away. "I'll make you pay for this!" she shouted in anger. "Don't you know who I am?!" Danna laughed despite Mika's red face from anger.
"I don't have to know," she said, looking her up and down, further insulting her. "A sl*t like you never caught my interest anyway," she added. Mika's face turned even redder with rage.
The three friends exchanged amused glances. "That's our Danna," Miks whispered, making them laugh.
"Oh, Mika? Why are you still here?" They turned to see Janus arriving with Calix, James, and Clyde.
Calix smiled at her. "Looks like you're having fun joking around with our friends," he said, making the three women stifle their laughter.
Janice raised an eyebrow. "Where's Jackson?" she asked them,

Chapter 3
"He's going home... with a babe," James answered with a grin. Janice stood up and left without a word. They shook their heads.
Danna returned to her seat. "Luna? Did she leave?" Calix asked. Janus frowned when he saw Mika's expression.
He stood up and left without a word. They sat down and looked at their friends, who showed no reaction except for Miks and Amanda, who were giggling.
"You guys did something stupid again?" Janus asked with a raised eyebrow.
Miks cleared her throat. "Nope," she denied, putting her arm around Danna, who was drinking juice. "You were great," she said.
"Luna left. Khaizer followed her," Danna told Calix.
Amanda frowned. "You're not sure, sis. Khaizer's face looked like he didn't care about Luna," she said.
Danna shook her head. "You got it wrong," she replied. "He wouldn't do that to Luna. He's concerned about her, we all know that."
Clyde nodded. "Yeah. Even if I were dying, he'd still save Luna," he said. They laughed. Miks playfully hit her friend.
"You want to know why?" she grinned at him.
"Why?"
"Because you're not worth it," she grinned back, teasing him. She had been holding back for a long time. Clyde pulled Miks's neck, making their eyes widen. In their surprise, Clyde pressed their lips together !" Calix shouted.
Amanda and Danna covered their mouths in shock. "Idiot!"
Janus shook his head. "Clyde
Khaizer silently watched Luna as she entered the women's restroom. He couldn't just follow her inside. Even though she was unsteady on her feet, she managed to get in.
He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall behind him. Over the years, her behavior hadn't changed-sweet but sarcastic. Her body had become more curvaceous, with larger breasts and hips, something he had always dreamed of.
It was funny, but he lusted after his own best friend. She was too attractive and gorgeous to go unnoticed, and he was no saint.
After a few moments, he noticed the restroom door open, but he didn't see who came out because a group of women passed by at that moment.
He frowned and stepped closer to the door. He hadn't intended to go in, but he panicked, fearing Luna might have left without him noticing. He entered the restroom. "Luna?" he knocked on one of the doors. There was no response.
He called her name again, but there was still no answer. So, he opened the doors, relieved to find no one else inside. "Where the h*ck did she go?!"
He slammed the door shut and left. He scanned the area for her, but she was nowhere to be seen due to the crowd.
He closed his eyes tightly. Danna would surely kill him if he couldn't find her. And he would never forgive himself if anything happened to her. 'What if someone else picks her up...' he thought, his brows furrowing.
H*ll no! He wouldn't let that f*cking happen!
He started walking, glancing around anxiously, hoping to spot her. In his haste, he stepped on someone. "Ouch!" But he ignored the woman, as she wasn't who he was looking for.
He was getting irritated from searching. He had no patience for waiting and wasting time. His patience was running out.
He was about to pass a group of people when he heard a familiar giggle. He stopped automatically, his brows knitting together as he turned to look at the woman. "So, you're a lawyer, huh?" he heard a man say. His irritation surged when he saw the man's arm wrapped around the woman's waist.
"Ah, yeah." He arched his brows when he heard her tone. It sounded seductive! She was smiling differently and staring intently.
Without thinking, he approached and grabbed the woman's arm, pulling her behind him. She was surprised but didn't speak. "What's your problem?" the man who had been holding Luna asked irritably.
Khaizer ignored him and pulled the woman away. He was annoyed that he had seen the man touching her while he hadn't even had the chance to do that. All he had ever done was hold her hand and kiss her forehead, just friendly gestures.
"Hey! Where are you taking me?!" They had reached the parking lot, and she started struggling. She was pulling her hand back. "What the heck?! Let go of me! It's hot!" she yelled, struggling.
He released her and opened the car door. "Get in." He pointed to the car's interior. She gave him a dirty look.
"And who are you to order me around?!" she retorted. He closed his eyes tightly and restrained himself from yelling at her. "I'm going back inside!"
He gave her a hard look. "What the h*ll?! Why do you need to go back there?!" Khaizer's voice was full of irritation, but she ignored it. "Don't make me repeat myself, Luna Quinn Ferrer. Get the h*ll in." he ordered firmly.
She held her ground, staring him down. "I said I'm going ba~"
"One!" He started counting, scratching his head in frustration. Here he was again, like a father sending his child home. She was annoying him.
Despite her annoyance, she got into the car with a huff. Khaizer closed the car door and smiled as he made his way to the driver's seat. He found her muttering something under her breath and just shook his head.
"Where are you taking me?!" she asked irritably. He didn't look at her; instead, he started the engine and drove off. "Yeah, thanks." She rolled her eyes.
Khaizer took a deep breath before answering her. "I'll bring you home."
She was stunned. "What?! I don't want to go home!" she shouted, kicking her feet.
He ignored her and just kept driving. Throughout the journey, all he could hear was Luna's complaints and screams. Despite the noise, he wasn't irritated; he missed her voice.
When she finally quieted down, Khaizer was taken aback. He sneaked a glance at her. He nearly slammed on the brakes when he saw what she was doing. "
She was taking off her gown. She had untied the straps, exposing her ample cleavage. If the gown slipped any lower, he would see her nipples. He cursed.
Innocently, she turned to him and stopped undressing. "It's hot," she complained, pouting slightly.
He swallowed hard, struggling to keep his eyes on the road. It was difficult to concentrate because it was obvious she was trying to seduce him.
She might not forgive him if he gave in to her charm tonight. She wasn't at fault since she was a victim of what she drank, but if he succumbed, he would be the one at fault.
"Khai..." She said his name seductively, making him freeze. He tried not to look at her, even though his eyes seemed to have a mind of their own.
He cursed under his breath. "Did you... not miss me?" she asked softly. He saw her lift her leg, giving him a glimpse of her smooth, white thighs.
He took a deep breath. "N-No. It's not like that, Quinn," he replied calmly.
"Then why aren't you looking at me? Are you ignoring me?" she asked. He didn't answer.
He wasn't ignoring her, and he wasn't looking at her because she was hard to resist. He might give in to her seductive appearance and forget everything. All his efforts to forget her over the years would be in vain. Yes, he had tried to forget her, which was why he agreed to follow his father abroad.
Even back then, he knew he had feelings for her, but it wasn't clear to him. It was like a blur. All he knew was that he was attracted to her. Maybe it was just lust for his best friend?
He stopped the car when he saw the traffic light. But he didn't look at her. "Khai..."
"Stop it, Quinn." He tried to stop her when he noticed she was about to untie another strap of her gown. She did stop, but...
She suddenly placed a leg over his. He froze at her action. Now, he had a clear view of her white, creamy legs due to the slit in her gown.
He held her leg. "R-Remove your legs from me~" she shook her head.
"N-No! Who cares if I want to?!" she shouted. He just shook his head, she was being stubborn again.
He started the car again. He planned to take her to the hospital to get the drugs out of her system because if this continued, he might not be able to control himself. He was hard down there.
She stopped moving, which made him breathe a sigh of relief. So, he just let her leg rest on his.
"Khai?"
"Hmm?" He glanced at her and then focused back on the road. She smirked.
She suddenly moved her leg, and it brushed against his crotch. He stiffened, feeling the tension build below. "Quinn!" she laughed softly.
"Oh... you're hard down there, huh?" she teased. He grabbed her leg to stop her from moving it again.
"Don't...!" he warned her. She laughed. His patience with her was running thin. She used to obey him with just one word, but now she seemed to have lost her docile nature because of the alcohol and those damn drugs!
"Where are you taking me?! We've been in this car for a while now?!" she complained again. "I want to... lie down! It's hot! I've been feeling hot for a while now!"
"Lower your voice, Quinn," he reprimanded her, but she didn't seem to hear him.
"Where are you taking me?! I want to undress! I'm feeling hot!" she fanned herself. She wasn't sweating; it was just her feeling hot. Her core was heating up, not her entire body.
Her delicate flower wants... wants to be f*cked.
Khaizer's ears turned red at the thought. He was really hard down there...
"What do you want me to do then?" She stopped complaining at his question. He didn't know why he even asked her that.
She smiled seductively, making him swallow. "C-Caress me, Khai. Caress me," she pleaded.
He smiled and focused on the road. He did what she wanted. He caressed her legs...
She moaned as his warm hand touched her soft skin. Khaizer bit his lip at the sound.
His hand moved from her leg to her thigh. She gasped for breath and looked at Khaizer, who was focused on the road. "Khai..." she said his
