I sighed pinching the area between my eyebrows at my ragged appearance.There was no doubt that i look like aged twenty years. I needed a break badly Suddenly,the door slammed open again as my friend newton pranced in as if he owned my office. I growled at him quietly and he rolled his eyes jumping onto the couch excitedly.

Newton shared a look with me and went back to the filling cabinet, we both knew he was more excited about potent finding of his mate than discussing rogues, we are I said slowly. Straightening in my seat. I smirked and said "I heard that the Alpha's daughter is hot like really hot.". I heard she's a spoilt brat Matthew chimmed in slamming the file cabinet shut.

My wolf growled in my head but I ignored him. He was getting on my nerves with all the growling he was doing, it doesn't matter if she's spoilt or not we are only going there for a business purpose only. "Newton said firmly emphasizing on the word. "business" .

Hey don't growl at me .Eddy getting excited downstairs about how Alex is going to bang her as they were eaves dropping to Alpha's discussion with his friends. My wolf growled louder and i huffed

"look at my wolf is really getting annoyed the last thing we need right now is for Alpha Richmond to cut off our agreement because some dimwit couldn't keep it in their pants". The three of them raised their hands in defense. Alex we're all virgins out here except Eddy of course. You know that we only want our mates. Newton said pointedly.

Eddy nodding in agreement "we're as virgin as Virgin Mary" My wolf growled even louder giving me a pounding headache. I glared at him trying to keep control of my anger. And you will be a Bloody Mary if you don't leave my office now as my voice thundered like that of a roaring lion.

Instead of pissing his pants and running like a normal wolf he chuckled and shook his head. You really need to get laid Eddy. Alex grabbed his stapler and threw it at him making him dive for cover. The stapler landed on the rug with a soft thud and eddy got up yes ....Alex just chill and relax . My wolf rumbled and he rolled his eyes pissed off .Alex maybe you will be in a better mood tomorrow. Well you haven't strangled the life out of Eddy, that's arrant nonsense allowing him always to carry on his lasciviousness and his nonsense dirty talks. He said giving out his mischievous wink. At that time I knew my father had spoken and I was nothing but a true replica of my father. I am my father's son whose words were always few and powerful that cannot be misconstrued and nobody dares challenged the dreaded Alpha. I rolled my eyes and walked up to him and hugged him, he patted the back of my head as I leaned it on his shoulder, enjoying the comforting feeling."you seem tense son .

This was supposed to be a serious-meeting to discuss the borders and rival packs. I couldn't have anyone Messing this up with their senseless comments.We needed all the packs we could get to form a strong alliance

"Alpha,the Burlington Pack is coming up in T-5,"One of my pack warrior called out from the driver's seat.

I nodded and carefully placed the papers back in their respective folders,before observing the land as we got closer.There seemed to be several houses that formed a giant U-shape across the lands. In the middle-of the rows of houses,there was one that was larger than the rest, which I assumed was the pack house. In the middle of the U, there were several warriors training vigorously under the instruction of the Gamma.

My wolf yipped in approval as he saw how hard they were training.

They can keep up with our warriors for sure.

"So why is the pack name Burlington? Do they have an obsession with Burlington Coat Factory or something?"

I turned to give Eddy another glare,causing his face to pale,"What did you say, Eddy?

I couldn't hear you right."

There was no reply.

"Good,"I muttered just as the car came to a stop.

My pack warriors immediately got out to grab our bags while the rest of us got out of the vehicle immediately.

Newton and Matthew stood behind me with their arms crossed and serious looks on their faces. Although, Newton lips kept twitching as if he wanted to break into a smile.

I observed Alpha Richmond and his Luna

with a cool look.They both had darkbrown hair,but Alpha Richmond eyes were silver and his Luna's were brown.He had a strong build that showed he wasn't someone people could step all over.

He was going to be hard to crack,but it had to be done.We needed this agreement.

Alpha Richmond also nodded his head as he looked directly into my eyes and spoke to me

I replied back to him with a Thank-you smile and a proud smile at that,even though I have heard it a million times

I put my hand out to hers, but she stepped forward and pulled me into a warm hug at this instance I felt too awkward, that caught me completely off guard. My wolf was rolling and laughing at my shocked expression , and i could hear Eddy trying to muffle his laughter behind me.

Then I saw an amazing apologetic smile. "we're family of huggers said ma'am Lucy and I didn't mean to startle you".

I shook my head and smiled calmly to her

She and my mom would get along great.My mom loves hugging random strangers, much to my dad dismay

Alpha Richmond smiled wrly and nodded to a young man standing next to him.This is my beloved son Ashley .

I studied the future Alpha carefully, he had a playful glint in his eyes which told me he was much more laid back than his father,but they was also seriousness to his look,that assured me that he would be a good Alpha.

I shook his hand and turned back to Alpha Richmond ,who seemed too confused as he looked around, when he saw my questioning look. He shook his head to reassure me that everything was fine and in total control.

My daughter Mara,was supposed to be here as well. I could have sworn she was right behind us,but she must have ran away as i was lost in thought and my spirit man was reawakened when Alpha Richmond patted on me on my shoulder and assured me that I will meet her soon anyway.

My wolf purred in content ,which made me frown slightly .He must have been on cheap drugs or something ,because he had never made a noise like that before.

I nodded at my pack warriors, who quickly grabbed the bags and followed us.

As we walked by some of the houses,many people stopped to stare at us and bow their head in respect.

"I hope they have good food "Newton muttered in the mind link and Matthew hummed in agreement

Of course said Newton. Eddy couldn't keep his mouth shut as he was soliloquizing

My anger grew to the highest level that I couldn't control it , I had to growl at him. Eddy you are nothing but a little pup

Suddenly, I felt something soft run into my leg and looked down to see a pup smelling my foot. I crouched down and scratched him behind his ears as i watched him quietly displaying what he knew how to do best

Hours later ,Mara came back home and rushed to her room as she followed through the back door. She heard some noise in the sitting room and heard her father the Alpha laughing out loud. She paused for a while as she began to wonder the kind of visitor that will entertain and make her father laugh out that loud .The laugh continued, then Mara decided to tiptoe to where the noise was coming out from.

When she got to the spot she stopped and peeped at the father's visitor.
