The Rejected Prince

Prince Liam's pov

I sat down in my room, thinking about my life and everything but all I could do was to shed tears.

I could feel that there are so many guards present in my room....this is how they have always been surrounding me ever since I was born.

It's been a long time since I felt the ray of sunlight because I have been always locked up in my room.....I know the king is really ashamed of me,I know through his thoughts.

I could feel the breeze from outside,so I noticed that someone opened the door of my room.

"My son,how have you been doing?" I heard and it was the voice of my step mother.

"Am fine" I replied casually.

"I know you must need this now,I prepared a cup of coffee for you so you could drink" she said and I stretched my hand to collect it.

"You fool, you think you are wise huh.

today will be your last day.... just go and die and meet your wretched mother" I heard her thoughts.

"Mum," I said.

"Who is your mum,I can never be a mother to a blind boy like you" I heard her thoughts again.

"Ma, please...give it to my brother," I said.

"What? Aren't you happy that I took my precious time to get you this,aren't you supposed to be happy.....you that had been rejected and forgotten" she said angrily.

"Oh! I see.....I knew that she is not like this...so she decided to act up so she could poison me" I thought.

"Mum, please give it to my brother....so he could drink it,I know he would need it more than I do right now" I said.

"Are you stupid, didn't I remembered my precious and normal son before I came here to offer you this" she said.

"Am sorry,but i'm okay....I don't feel like taking a coffee" I replied.

"Ok,what will you love to take?" she said silently.

"I am okay.... thanks" I screamed.

And immediately I screamed I could feel her absence out of my room.

Let me introduce myself....my name is Liam,I know I am a prince because my guards always call me a prince but have not felt like one before,Am blind I can't see...I was told I have been blind since birth....the only one that have cared for me is my mum and she was the one that first told me that am a prince.

Am 25 years old,my mum died when I was twenty,Ever since my mum died everything has become worse...there has been no one to care for me since. Even my step Brothers detest me so much.

That is okay about me for now....

I stood up from the bed and held my walking stick.

"My prince,what should I get for you....are you okay" one of the guards asked me.

"Yes, please can you tell the remaining guards to excuse us for a few minutes," I said.

"Ok,my prince," he said.

I could feel the movement of people going out of the room and after some minutes,it was only the both of us remaining in the room.

"Edison,you know you are the only one have always trusted in this house... please how can I sneak out of the room" I said when I finally felt him in my front.

"What?" He screamed.

Ava's pov

I was so tired, walking from the farm back home,I searched everywhere before I could see the leaf that I would use for the medicine.

After a long while,I got home and my heart skipped immediately. I saw my step mother outside peeling yam.

"OMG!!! I am dead" I thought.

"You fool,are you supposed to be coming back by this time?" I heard.

"Am sorry ma" I said and I was about to walk past her when she suddenly started screaming.

"What?" I asked her.

"Is this the only firewood you could get?" she asked angrily.

"I'm sorry mum,I searched everywhere in the bush,but I couldn't find any more" I said.

And before I knew it she walked up to me, and she raised her hand on me....and she was interrupted by the scream of people immediately.

"Help!!! Help!!! Ava please help come to my rescue....my daughter is dying" A woman holding a lifeless child said crying.

"What happened to her?" I said.

"I don't know my daughter,she just passed out," she said.

I collected the girl from her immediately and looked for somewhere to lay her.....I bowed down and laid my palm on her body and closed my eyes and immediately I felt it...

"I could feel it," I thought.

I stood up immediately and ran towards the bush path even though I was terribly tired.

I ran as fast my leg could take me, before I finally saw the leave.

The leave speaks to me,I smiled and walked up to the leave and plunged it immediately and ran back tiredly.

Before I got home I was very tired and with the way my mum was staring at me I could feel danger immediately,I pretended not to notice and squeezed the leave, and after squeezing it...I decided to open the girl's mouth and poured the medicine in her mouth.

All the woman could do was to cry,I stared at her and shook my head vigorously.

And after some minutes,the girl sneezed and woke up....she was so happy that she didn't know when she she knelt down to thank me.

It was like magic to everyone,and I smiled immediately.

I know you guys must be wondering who am i, well....My name is Ava I stays with my parents, people known me as a healer in my town,Ever since I coincidentally healed a young boy on my way from farm....I don't have a mum but I have a stepmom,who always treats me like a piece of trash...my dad is a farmer and he loves me so much,I don't know why my mum hates me,all I know is that she likes her daughter more than me.

I know when I say that,the leaves always speak to me...it looks weird right? That is how it has always been ,since I have started growing older and have always wondered too...Even people are always curious to know how have been able to heal people..

I think that is enough about me for now.

Prince Liam's pov

"My prince, please It can't be possible if the king knows I will become a dead meat" he said.

"I know!! But please we can do it and no one will know....I promise we are not going to go far from this palace" I said.

And the room became silent for a few minutes...

"Ok....but..." he said and I interrupted him immediately because I already knew what he wanted to say.

"Edison there is no but.. please just take me to the palace garden" I said.

"Ok!! Ok my prince" he said.

"I know what you are thinking," I said.

"My prince, I don't think you know what I'm thinking about.How are we going to handle the other guards, you know the king has informed us already not to allow you to leave your room," he said and I smiled.

"So what are we going to do about them?" I asked him.

"I don't know my prince," he said.

"Can't we get a sleeping pill" I whispered trying to locate his ear.

"What!!,my prince," he screamed.

Prince Edward's pov

"More! More!" The bitch said as I pound her.

I fondled her breast and f*ked her till we both c*m.

I stood up from my bed,freshened up and after a while I got out of the bathroom. I didn't see the bitch anymore,I smiled.

And immediately I heard a knock on the door...

The door opened and it turned out to be a guard

"My prince! The king asked me to tell you that the royal meeting will soon start" the guard said and bowed.

"Ok!!" I said coldly.

My name is Prince Edward,the only prince of Tamar kingdom....Oh! Before I forget I have a step brother named Liam who is blind but no one knows him except the royal family,I really detest him because he is blind and my mum also hates him and am happy he is blind,so I would be the next king of our kingdom.....

Prince Liam's pov

"My prince,that is not possible.where did you expect me to get it from?" he asked.

"I know. please go and look for" I whispered.

"But my prince,what if " I interrupted him immediately.

"Don't worry the king won't see us" I said and tried touching him.

"Take" I said and offered him some money.

"It's okay,my prince ....stay there,while I go get it" he said and helped me with sitting.

Some minutes later.....

I felt his scent in the room again....

"Edison!!!" I called.

"Yes my prince!" He answered.

And I smiled when I heard his voice.

"Did you get it?" I asked him.

"Yes, my prince" he replied.

"If we should go and offer them tea to drink,they will be suspicious...so what do you think we can do?" I asked him.

"My prince,I think you should wait till night while everyone is sleeping," he said.

"Ok" I replied.

Ava's pov

Immediately the woman left,my mum pushed me inside and started beating me....she is always angry whenever I treats people.

"Are you stupid, what are you still doing on the ground...aren't you supposed to be preparing dinner already" she said.

Immediately I saw my dad. I quickly wiped my tears.

"What happened to you,were you crying?" he asked.

"No,Dad...i'm just a little bit stressed out," I said.

"If you are stressed out,why don't you call your younger sister Mia to help you out," he said.

"No!! No!! Dad,i'm okay....I don't want to stress her" I said quickly.

"If she should join me,she is still going to scold me for stressing her precious daughter" I thought.

"Dad! Aren't you hungry? Should I bring your food for you" I asked so I could change the topic.

" Sure! You can" he said and I smiled.

I quickly dished his food and quickly walked to him inside and served him.

Prince Edward's pov

I walked up to the throne hall and the king was seated on his throne while there are other chiefs and other members of the council in the room.

My mum was also seated in the room...

Everywhere was silent...

I was surprised when I met a seer in the room...

"What is a seer doing in the palace?" I thought.

"It is really rare for a seer to come to the palace unless he has something important to say" I thought.

"So why are you here, the great seer?" the king said.

"My king, I have come to tell you about the good news that is about to happen in the palace," he said.

"Good news" the king said....

And I didn't know when I smiled.

"My king,I saw that something miraculous and unbelievable will soon happen in this palace," he said.

"Something miraculous,like what?" One of the chiefs asked.

"I don't know,but all I see is that people will be shocked when it happens," he said.

"What?" I thought..

"What could it be?" one of the members of the council said unknowingly.

"Great seer,you can go.thanks for the message" the king said.

The seer stood up and left.

Prince Liam's POV

We waited till the guards slept,and Edison held my hand and we quickly got out of the room.

"Edison, where are we now?" I asked silently.

"We are in the hallway out of the palace," he said.

"Ok" I said and shook my hand.

After we had walked for a while,we started hearing footsteps.

"Edison,I thought the people at the palace are supposed to be sleeping by now" I whispered even though I could not locate his ear.

"Yes,my prince....I think we have to hide now" he said.

And he held my hands well...we were about to start running when we heard a voice from our back.

The voice sounds familiar...

"Stop!!! Stop there" we heard...

And we couldn't turn back..

"My prince! Please do not turn back so they won't see your face" he said.

"Who are you people,where are you running to by this time"I heard the voice.

"Yes,it sounds familiar! It's Edward, my brother" I thought.

"Brother" I spilled out unknowingly...

"Edward,it's me, your brother," I said and turned.

And by the time I turned,he had already walked towards me the more....he was now facing me.

"What is the blind fool doing outside by this time" he thought and I heard.

"Where are you sneaking to?" he asked.

"Am just going to the garden to take some fresh air" I said.

"Good evening....my prince"I heard Edison's voice.

"You know this is a great crime and the king must not know about this," he said.

"I know,that is the reason why I am doing this at night,"I answered.

"Well,who cares if you die,I can't even wait for your death" I heard again.

And tears spilled out of my eyes immediately I heard.

"Edward,why don't we make this night memorable for both of us.... Please follow me and let's get some fresh air together" I said.

"Who will follow you,you expect a crown prince like me to follow you....why don't you look for a blind fellow like you" I heard his thoughts again.

"Oh!! Am sorry I have some other things to do inside" he said.

"Ok,Good night" I replied....

"Let's go" I said and Edison held my hand.

"My prince, I am happy it was the prince that saw us,if not I would be dead by now...thank God it was not another person,the prince really likes you" he said..

"Please are we at the garden already?" I interrupted him.

"No, my prince,we will soon be there," he said.

King Xanders pov

Since afternoon I have been wondering about what the seer said.

"But what could he possibly mean,what can it be?" I thought.

"My king,what are you thinking about?" my queen asked.

"It's nothing," I replied.

"My king,you have to sleep,you need to rest well" she said.

"Ok!!! " I said.

"Anyways, whatever it is I don't need to bother myself since it is a good news,I will wait and see" I thought.

Queen Charlotte's pov

I still couldn't stop myself from thinking about what happened in the morning.

What did Liam think he is,who did he think he is.

Today is the third time I have tried to poison him so he could die and meet his useless mum,all seems to be in vain.

I will have to try another means so I could kill him...

If not that he was surrounded by guards I would have forced it in his mouth....

He has to die!!!

"I don't want anything that will hinder my son from the throne" I thought.

I checked my side and saw that the prince was sleeping already.

About what the seer said earlier,what does he mean?....

"What miracle will soon happen?" I thought.

Prince Liam's pov

I sat down for a few minutes and I could not stop thinking about my life...

"Why would all my family members want me dead?" I thought.

"Why does everyone seem to hate me is it my fault that I was born blind" I thought.

"My prince,you are crying,why are you crying" I heard and drifted out of my thoughts.

I felt Edison palm on my cheek as he helped me to wipe my tears.

"My prince,why are you crying?"Edison said.

"I am okay," I said.

"My prince,I think we have to leave here now," Edison said.

"Yes" I replied...

And tried standing up but I fell back....

"My prince!!! You would have waited for me first so I could hold you" he said.

"I know,it's just that I don't want to bother you," I replied.

He held my hands and we both walked back inside.
