The Rejected And Sacrificed Mate

Author: : shekinah
Genre: Werewolf
"I Arthur Carter reject you and caught all bonds with you." Those words chattered Selina as she was thrown into the cave even before realising it. She was sacrificed as their annual vessel two days after she got married after realising that her destined mate was her husband's younger brother. What will be her fate?

Chapter 1 The marriage

Selina's POV

I sat down, distressed, on my bed with my heart racing. I was getting mated on this day without even my consent.

My hair was styled, and my dress clung pretty to my skin. I was looking beautiful-or, would I say, more beautiful than usual?

"Annie! Annie." I whispered. "I need you right now. Annie,'' I called again, this time giving up.

"Urrh". I sighed as I heard my doors creak.

"Miss Selina, the Alpha requests to see you," a maid announced.

"Lead the way." I sighed.

"Yes, Miss". She bowed and opened the door widely while I walked out.

I walked behind her as we made our way to the pack hall. I took a deep breath as I began to hear distant chattering. The noise became louder the more steps I took.

"Lady Selina has arrived." A man announced, tinkling a fork and a glass. I got to the door immediately. He was the beta of the park.

The hall fell silent. I could hear my footsteps as I walked in. I darted my eyes around the hall in search of my soon-to-be mate. I wasn't shy about looking around, despite the crowd. One thing my late mother told me was to never act timid, despite the situation.

"Come to your father, daughter." My father requested.

I let out a fake smile as I climbed the stairs to meet him. He stretched out his hands while I placed mine on his as he helped me count my steps.

"Today!" He began. "As we all know, my daughter, Lady Selina, will be addressed as mated before noon. We've carried out some rituals requested by the moon goddess, and they are eligible to be mated."

The crowd began to chatter and sing songs of praise. I let out a heavy sigh because it wasn't the first time they were celebrating absolute rubbish.

"Come, come, daughter, your mate awaits you," my father smiled as I pulled my hands to work with him.

My eyes popped open when I saw him. He had curly brown hair, and his face formed an oval shape. His lips were minted pink, and his brows were carved into good shape.

I darted my eyes around his body. Indeed, I haven't seen such a handsome man in my pack.

"Meet my daughter, Selina, and Selina; meet your in-laws and your mate.".

"Mate?" I blurted out upon seeing the man to whom my father pointed.

"Yes, Mate. I know you don't know yourselves yet, but with time, you will." He assured me.

"Father, I."

"I'll leave you to be the good daughter your mother taught you to be." He smiles and walks away.

I let out a soft groan because it just happened again. I was never given the opportunity to speak out. Never!

"Are you okay?" a muscular voice asked in a calm tone.

I darted my eyes in search of the voice, and when my eyes met his, I said, "Yes, yes, I'm fine." I responded, catching my breath.

"I think you'll make a good wife for my brother." He teased me.

"Oh damn! Is he your brother? how handsome." Annie blurted out.

"Oh please!" I cautioned her in silence; when I needed her, she was nowhere to be found."

"I hope so." I smiled at him. "I should say hello to your parents.".

"Oh, please." He stretched his hands towards her parents and gave me the go-ahead.

Why didn't it have to be him? Why did it have to be this cruel person that hardly noticed me?" I self-spoke.

"Greetings, my Alpha; greetings, my Luna." I smiled at them.

"Welcome to our family," his mother said while her husband smiled.

Tim, Tim, Tim! The sound of a fork and glass was heard, drawing everyone's attention.

"It's the mood of celebrations, so let's wine and dine." My father announced.

The rest of the evening was usual for me. I didn't see anything new or special; there was zero feeling of tension that I was getting mated. I wondered if the royal mating books I read were performed with no emotions, the same way I felt.

I only wish my mother was alive; maybe I would have felt a bit of sorrow before leaving.

"The carriage is ready, my lady." A man in his mid-fifties whispered to my mate's mother.

My father's presence was requested as they told him about our leaving.

My father darted his eyes toward me. I could see the tenderness in them. I wasn't sure of what it was, but I knew he was definitely going to miss me.

"Go well, daughter; we shall meet again." He hugged me and walked me outside the hall to where the waiting carriage was.

My new family walked behind me while my son-in-law stood before me and was making his way into the carriage.

"How cruel," I muttered.

"Did you say something?" My father acquired.

"Yes, father. Whatever reason you did this, whatever reason you mated me to a total stranger, even going as far as conducting the moon goddess should be worth it." I sighed, hugged him finally, and stepped into the carriage.

It was a long ride as we tailgated on the narrow and deserted road, far away from my pack. I became tired and wanted to sleep but wouldn't dare; at least I needed to be vigilant when with complete strangers.

No one said a word to each other as we drove in complete silence. We approved a mighty mansion. It had few reflections of fire from the windows. The horses began to feeble as we got closer.

I stared at the surroundings as we drove inside. It looked old and abandoned. Some trees were dead, while others looked uncultivated.

"Get down!" my mate's mother demanded.

I was astonished, wondering how she got down from the carriage before me.

"Yes ma'am." I responded as I stood in front of her.

"Henceforth, address me as Luna. You are in my pack, my territory." She boasted.

"Yes, my Luna." I succumbed.

Chapter 2 First day as a mate

Selina's POV

The alpha, Luna, and my so-called mate walked before me. I was frightened at first, so I looked behind me and saw my friend's brother behind me.

I smiled at him and kept waking.

"Andria!" the Luna called, which I guessed was a maid.

"Yes, my Luna." A young lady dashed out of the dark and bowed.

"Show her to her room," she bluntly said, and I knew she was referring to me.

"Come with me." The maid spoke calmly.

I smiled, waved at my friend's brother, and walked behind the maid. We walked toward a room. The doors were made with thick wood, and the door creaked as she pushed it.

"Please come in," she said, waiting for me to walk in before shutting the door.

"What's this place?" I muttered as I looked around.

The room was so big that it was called a hall. It had a master-size bed in the middle. A thick cotton cloth and some old, dusty furniture. The room looked dusty and musty, and I wondered if they were even expecting me.

"I apologize for the inconvenience; I'll tidy up in a bit," the maid told me.

"Sure! Please take your time." I smiled as I stood aside and watched her do the cleaning."

"Tada! I'm done," she announced a few minutes later.

"Well done." I congratulated.

"Thank you," she said, bowing her head as she made her way out.

I gave out a sigh as I walked towards a door by the side, hoping it was the bathroom. Thankfully, it was, and I prepared to have my bath.

I carefully selected the equipment I needed since the others were covered in dust. After my bath, I changed into a linen dress and hoped that I would get something to eat before my so-called mate came in.

I watched the click. It was a few seconds before midnight, and there was no trace of food coming in or my mate. My stomach grumbled, as I hadn't had to eat even before the mating ceremony.

"Damn." I cried and tried to go to sleep.

**The next day**

I heard a heavy and consistent knock on the door. I yawned and got out, wondering why they didn't just dash inside because the door wasn't even locked.

"Good morning, Miss; your presence is requested at the table." It was the maid from yesterday; she didn't even wait to get a response.

"Mhm!" I scoffed as I banged the door, "so they remembered they left someone in this dungeon." I murmured as I darted my eyes around the room.

Luckily, everything I needed to start my new day was available: tooth powder, a lace dress, and sandals. I made use of my time to get ready for a new day.

"What took you so long?" Luna asked in a harsh tone upon seeing me.

"Getting ready." I bluntly responded.

"Didn't your father?" she paused. "Or rather, mother, teach you not to keep others waiting." Her voice irritated me.

"Others?" I bluntly responded. "I thought we were family now?" I replied while claiming a chair, sitting down.

"You don't sit until you're asked to! Oh no! She lacks manners." She shook her head in disappointment.

"Did I do something wrong?"

"Your attitude is as ugly as you." His voice rang in my head as I darted my eyes towards him.

"Did he just speak? Did my mate just call me ugly?" I asked myself, or maybe Annie.

"I'm out of here. Ask the elders and moon priests to get ready.

"Alberto, that was harsh to say to her," their father, the Alpha, said.

Finally, I had the chance to know the name of my arrogant mate.

"Father, you just saw how she responded to my mother. I'll carry out exactly what my mother has instructed." My mate, Alberto, responded to his father while he made his way out.

The table was left with Alpha, Alberto's brother, and me. They had stopped eating; I guess they'd lost appetite because of the drama lately, but I showed less concern as I dished my food while they left a stare on me. I was starving and wasn't ready to take any chances.

"Enjoy your meal. I'll be in my chambers," the alpha said as he left and left us both.

"You like?" he asked as I gulped down my last portion.

"Uhm, yeah, I do." I replied stylishly.

"You're beautiful; please don't take what my brother said to heart; he can be very nonchalant at times." He defended.

"It's fine. I know people with such personalities," I said, forcing out a smile.

"Why did you choose to do it?" he asked out of the blue.

"Choose to do what?" I dropped the glass of water with my eyes fixed on him.

"Get married to him," he said with a sober voice.

"I...I..'. he stammered.

"Arthur! Won't you help your brother out? There's lots of things to be done." Her voice echoed as she walked toward us.

"Yes, mother." He responded as he smiled at me and stood up to leave.

"You! This is Moon West Park, and we don't linger during the day. So finish up while I assign an assistant to you."

Not replying to that, I dusted the bread particles from my dress and stood on my feet.

"Excellent then. Follow me." She instructed me while I walked behind her.

We had a long walk on the outskirts of the mansion. My legs ached already. I wondered where she was taking me. Andria, the maid, walked behind us.

"Give me the keys," she demanded as we got closer to a giant door.

"Yes, my Luna." Andria replied as she handed the keys over to my mate's mother.

The sound of the door creaking was heard aloud as the key passed through the hole while she coughed as a result of the dust.

"Turn on the candles." She demanded.

I began to wonder why everyone and everything looked creepy.

Chapter 3 Getting Caught

Selina's pov

I began to have doubts about whether it was a real pack. Apart from the family members, servants, and maids, I haven't really seen any elders or wolves, but it was too early to conclude.

"What is this place?" I muttered.

"This is a traditional room and a must for all our brides to visit." She responded; I guess she must have heard me.

My eyes popped open upon seeing it. It was a picture of myself, a picture I took two years ago. How on earth did it get here? I voiced out.

"You shouldn't be surprised; we are royalty, and we carry out surveys before getting our son's mated."

"Mated?". I repeated, "So itisn't the first time they are mating their sons randomly instead of waiting for the mating day?". I thought.

I walked carefully and scrolled my eyes. There were hundreds of pictures. Pictures of young girls like me. I began to become uncomfortable; I felt Annie wiggle. There was something fishy about this place.

"Alright. We are done here! Andria, you know what to do with her," she said while she made her way out.

"Please come with me, ma'am." Andria told me.

She showed me around the mansion. She told me a few stories about it and left me by a lake that was behind the mansion. I felt like she was doing exactly what she was told, and I could sense the bitterness in her voice.

I also began to wonder if she was the only servant or maid in the mansion, since I've not set my eyes on any. I wanted to ask her some questions but declined when I saw her wanting to leave.

I sat by the waterside till it got dark. I had my eyes fixed on the waves of the water. I missed my mother. One reason I agreed to get married was to have a chance to experience motherly love once again, but at this point, I would choose to remain single over and over again.

"Ma'am, it's late. Could you please come with me?" Andria said it from behind.

"Oh, yeah, sure." I responded and got up on my feet.

She supported our sight with a candle light as we got inside the mansion. We walked towards the step while I scrolled my eyes around. We got to a lobby that had many doors, which I guessed were the actual rooms and not the nuisance I was left to sleep in.

She opened the second door in the lobby, and I walked behind her. The room looked modernized; it had a well-dressed king-sized bed in front with linen curtains around it. The scents of orchids and roses filled the air.

"Your bath is ready, and your night dress too," she said, pointing at the bathroom. "I'll give you some privacy; if you need anything, I'll be downstairs."

"Thank you," I responded while she made her way out.

I soaked myself in the bathtub. The water was fresh and scenty; I didn't know what flavor it was, but it refreshed my skin. I spent a little time before getting out.

I wore my nightgown and laid on the bed, ignoring the plate of food that lay on the table. I heard the door creak. I wasn't expecting anyone, so I slowly turned my head to see who it was.

"It was him. What was he doing here? Oh no!" I cried.

"Maybe to mate," Annie answered. "Well, finally, I can meet my mate too."

"Shut up, Annie! I hate him; he called me ugly."

I pretended to be asleep as I laid on my stomach. I saw his shadows walk towards the bed. My heart beat increased as I felt him lay beside me.

He moved his body closer to me. I felt his breath on my skin as I shot my eyes in fear. He placed his hands on my hair as he caressed it.

He paused for a while. I guess he was confused on how to go on with the romance due to the position I held. I prayed to the goddess that he would give up and let me be, but I was wrong.

He moved his hands under my thighs, paving his way under my gown. I let out a silent moan as his hands reached my clitoral area. He moved his fingers in search of my hole and played with his fingers in it.

I let out a loud moan; I couldn't bear the pleasure. He turned me to face him and kissed me passionately. He kept playing with his fingers in my virgina before moving his hands to my breasts.

He played with them and sucked them before taking his position on top of me. I felt his manhood slide inside my virgina. I let out a loud moan as my legs bounced in the same rhythm as him.

He let out a satisfied groan as he stood to his feet, buckled his belt, and made his way out of the room without uttering a word to me.

I watched him leave in shock. I just lost my virginity; I just got mated to a man who doesn't give a f**k about me.

"I don't think I found my mate." Annie said it in sadness.

"I just lost my virginity, and I don't feel like I did." I yelled in frustration.

I let out a sigh, and I moved my gaze in search of a jar of water.

"Urrh!" I groaned as I saw the empty jar.

I stared around, hoping to find a bell or something, but couldn't find any in the dark room. I decided to get the water myself; I was already having a bad evening and wasn't ready to add thirst to it.

I made my way down the stairs, hoping to find the kitchen, when I heard distant chattering. I was about to ignore it when I heard it.

"Mating her is just the

first step, others need to be carried out before the moon rises tomorrow."
