The Protectors: Bullseye

29-year-old John Bonan looks at the clouds in the sky. He imagines the girl or the woman but is certain it's a female who is helping him in all his orphan life. He was at college 10 years ago when he was studying at Yale or during his years at school when big boys used to bully him however a voice whispered to his mind as if saying "You are stronger". And then he used to get up and be at the task. It was as if he had found a mysterious energy that would develop in him whenever he heard the voice.

But still, he had the curiosity in him to know who it was. Suddenly a voice whispers to him "John be ready . Apocalypse is coming. Be ready". It was the same voice. He didn't understand the words. He felt as if it were the same times when the voice used to provide him with courage.

He goes to his closet and draws a bow, a white stringed curved bow. He found it underneath a cemetery where the voice had led him 2 years ago but still, he didn't know why did it tell him to. He never used the bow though because he never found any arrow with the bow or any other weapon with the bow. He tries to pull the string and laughs at himself. He remembers the time when he found the bow. The Voice led him to the bow but it did whisper a few words. John remembers the words "It's the target and the aim. You need to see." He couldn't decode the words although he hadn't decode any of the sayings of the voice. But remembering the words he goes to the same place as he was before and then starts pulling the string of the bow. He looks at the sky and as he pulls the string he realizes the clouds are approaching near him. He further stretches the string just to have a clear view of the cloud. It was an amazing scene for him to see. He tries the same thing at a house nearby and to his astonishment he can see the ants in the window of the house 5 miles away. It was as if he could zoom into anything he wanted." Well, it looks like the target is what I'm looking at and the aim is the vision. But why it is a bow, not a binocular" He chuckles to himself. But to his amazement, he looks down the bow to see an arrow forming from the string of the bow. In fear, he lets go only to see the arrow kill the ant. However, the window is still in place. His vision zooms back as the string of the bow returns to its position. Suddenly he hears the voice again saying "Well you found your aim and your target. Thank god you are ready. You should be ready for your sacrifice.

The voice chose you".

The world is crumbling as it was depicted before. There are horrifying scenes everywhere from Manhattan where Spider-Man is trying to save as many people as he can from falling into a huge crack in the ground to Los Angeles where Captain America is struggling to bring people aboard in a helicopter where a flood is drowning the whole city. In Russia, one of the remaining X-men Collesus is seen trying to stop the wildfire blazing not just the forests but even the concrete houses of St Petersburg. There is chaos everywhere.

"The deed is done". A voice is heard as a young man in a giant white horse is seen flying with a bow in his hand towards the sky.

Out of a sudden everything stops, the crack at Manhattan is restored as if nothing has happened. Even the mighty Captain America is surprised to see no water below him. Everything is restored as it was before the reckoning. Everyone was looking at each other as if they had woken up from a nightmare.

John Bonan is found unconscious in a huge aircraft. A man and a young woman approach him. The man says to the young woman "Looks like your mare found him". The girl replies "Yes he followed me" to which there is a reply by the old man "You mean your voice". The old man stares at him and says " Is he ready yet". The woman replies "No he should have discovered his powers a long time ago".

"What is his name?" he asks ." John Bonan. He's from the earth" The woman replies.

The man and the young woman leave the room and enter the cockpit of an aircraft the size of a planet "Let me check the database. Earth Ok. The third planet of the system solar and the galaxy Milky Way.

Well, so he is the sacrifice. Another one. Your first one isn't it" asks the man. She smiles as she looks at the young man through the computer. " I have been in his head for a long time. Although it's only 6 years here. It's already 29 years in the place from where he came." The woman replies.

"29 years ?? It's still a long time. He must have developed huge cosmic power with you on his head. Although he hasn't been able to use it though. When he will be able he will be a strong force to reckon." Asks the old man.

"Well, He can only use his power to use with a weapon. Well, I could see he could not use it. These earth people are very primitive. So I developed a bow with my powers. Only strong cosmic-powered individuals can wield that bow." Says the woman.

"Well put him in the small pod and free him in space." Says the old man.

"Will they find him?" asks the young woman in a frightened voice "I mean he will die if they don't find him."

"He's has come here riding in a horse absorbing all your powers for 29 .......I don't know Earth years. Ahhhh solar years as it is called. He must have passed out after he saw the universe outside his planet. Although his head is quite vulnerable due to your long-tenured involvement with his head

His body has gained the advantage with this so-called involvement that it has absorbed a huge amount of cosmic power and has become a force to reckon with. He will be very strong. So there is no question to doubt his survival answers the old Man.

As the young man is carried to the aircraft the young woman sees the young man's eyes. "He will wake up soon. Bye Bye my friend" she says as she kisses his forehead as two guards put the young man in a pod, a miniature aircraft which can accommodate 5-6 people.

John Bonan opened his eyes to see himself wrapped around a seat with his hands and legs tied. He hears a voice beside him "Ahh you woke up". "Look behind you idiot," says the voice again. As John turns his head back he sees a silver-haired long-eared attractive young man staring at him. A young woman, a giant man with a big gun at his back, and a dwarf enter the scene.

"Sorry for calling you an idiot. But it seems the voice got into your head didn't it." the silver-haired man says.

"My name is Paul and this is Paula my twin sister, that giant guy is Baruto, don't worry he won't eat you ." Says the silver-haired young man.

"And let me introduce you to myself. I am Darr the pilot" says the middle-aged dwarf.

"And you are?" he asks.

"I don't know"John replies as he does not remember as the power from his travel has caused his memory to fade.

"Well you are a protector then," says Paul.

"How do you know that?" asks Darr.

"Well if he had remembered he would have been a commando like you, Darr, wouldn't he" says Paula.

"Pilot I can't physically fight but I'm good with the beams though." Says Darr.

"Commando, Pilot what are you talking about," Says John.

Gawwd a young man with a prosthetic arm with a gun as a hand and an eye patch enters the scene and shouts "Ok this is the new one. Why are the pretty ones the protectors?"

"Well you aren't pretty gawwd," Says Paul.

"Ok, I don't have an arm and an eye. But that doesn't make me ugly though. But this guy though has a big head"gawwd replies.

"Well if you open these straps you might lose your other arm, "says John.

"Ok let's see then," Says gawwd as he tries to open the straps.

Just as he opens the strap. John bursts out of the seat as he punches Gawwd. Gawwd becomes unconscious after he is struck. "Ok, you shouldn't have done that gawwd. Ok, calm down big guy. We won't harm you." Says Paul.

"Who are you? Why did you tie me"John asks with anger.

Everyone corners him and is about to attack him when a voice is heard.

"OK stop everyone".He Says

A tall young man with a bow in his hand enters the scene.

"Commander Charlie," says everyone as they bow to him.

"I believe this weapon is yours. And this animal too" as he points his finger back to a mare at the back.

"My name is Charlie. I am the owner of this aircraft as you can see and the leader of the protectors. You have wounded one of my men. Although I believe it's not your fault. But you did punch him"

"Why have you tied me? And why don't I remember anything"John says.

"Don't worry. You will tough guy. But if you'll promise to not harm my men, we will not strap you again"Charlie says.

"Why don't I punch you too" John says.

"Ok then," says Charlie as he blinked his eyes.

John collapses to the ground as Charlie opens his eyes.

"You didn't kill him? Did you Commander" Paul asks

"No, I telepathed his mind. He has strong powers. And can use this bow too. This is an exquisite weapon. Although I don't think anyone except him can use it. Whoever made this gave him as a gift. He will wake."Says Charlie.

"What about the white horse? It's beautiful" asks Paul.

"It's a mare. But a gigantic one though. And this creature has cosmic powers seeing it carried this bow which was tied to its saddle." replies Charlie.

"This bow is similar to your torch Paula." He adds.

"Although it doesn't emit a whip or a sword beam

Like your torch, it has some strange qualities like a telescope but Qualities only this guy can deduce"Charlie says.

"Well, he's got a mare too. Is he better than Paula" asks Darr.

"A mare in a pod and a bow as a weapon. The Master loves him I guess" Says Paul.

"No, a mare can be brought up or given power by only a female. And I don't think the master is partial to any of the protectors he's given a brand to" Charlie says.

"OK pull both gawwd and that guy up. We will be recruiting him now" says Charlie.

All of them look at Charlie as Baruto carries John and Gawwd.

As the small pod enters a large aircraft of the shape of an island. John opens his eyes as he is lifted by a huge man that he earlier saw. As he glances he sees thousands of black armored men with guns and shielded helmets.

"Why you rookie!" shouts Gawwd as he sees John.

"Ok, Gawwd. That's enough." Says Paula.

"So do want to be recruited tough guy" asks Charlie.

"You entered my head. Don't you know my name" says John.

"No, I only care about the protectors. So are you in?" asks Charlie.

"Do I have a choice?" says John.

"No, you are branded as an offering by the master. So you are a protector henceforth" says Charlie.

"The master?" As John touches his bow he begins to remember the voices of a man and a woman.

"Is he a man or a woman? I heard their voice, Although I don't remember much not even my name or my place" John replies.

"That bow will certainly aid you in bringing back your memory. For now, we will call you Bullseye as you can wield that bow." Says Charlie.

"Fine, I'm in. But can you tell me more about this in detail" Says John

"Paula is the Commander of the protectors. She will tell you about everything that is to know here." Charlie as he leaves.

"OK, can one of you please tell me about this? I will be calm" John asks.

"You are one of us now. You, I, Paula, Darr, Baruto, and Gawwd are the six protectors under the leader Charlie" says Paul.

"And what about those black armored men" John asks.

"Those are the commandos recruited by Charlie. They are our infantry. They don't have any powers like us. They are trained soldiers from different planets. All of them volunteered by passing a test made by Charlie. For every test, there is a recruit of 500. There are 10,000 of them now. Now listen carefully. A small number of them like 2-20 can be led by a leftuinant who is chosen from among them." Says Paul.

"Who chooses The dominant" asks John.

"The Captain, that's one of us excluding Paula of course who is our commander. We can lead 1000 each from the commandos when required in a mission. And Paula can lead all of them as she is in the second command to Charlie. Darr was one of the commandos before. When I was recruited he was one of the pilots of the commandos. But Charlie promoted him to a protector as he knows all the way and everything that is to know about the cosmos. He can help you to search your planet from the database if you remember your planet that is" Says Paul.

"Ok, so what is this mission and what do we do" asks John.

"We along with the commandos protect the people of different planets who hire us and also kill, "Says Paul.

"So we are mercenaries?" John asks.

"No Bullseye. Can I call you that? Well somewhat analogous but we only protect and attack under Charlie's command" Says Paul.

"Who's he under" asks John.

"Well, there are the masters and the protectors. The masters are the ones who command the protectors' leaders. The Master who branded you offered Charlie you as a protector. However, he commands Charlie." Says Paul.

"Now about the masters. They have the prerogative to assign brands to protectors as the master did to you. When he provides you with cosmic power it means he has branded you. They can give you weapons depending upon your strengths as you cope with your powers. They are the ones who truly do the protecting of the galaxy. They can sense attacks from galaxies or warlords or other harmful creatures or things and can summon a protector whenever any useful planet is being harmed. That is how you were pulled out from your planet and summoned as a protector." Adds Paul.

"Now that's a lot of info there," says John.

"There are many things yet to know. A few years ago I was like you. Me and my sister were pulled out when a big natural disaster occurred on our planet. My sister had great cosmic powers inherited by her master. Nowadays these masters have guardians to their work. One of the master's guardians gave her a torch from which she could wield a sword or a whip.

She can kill at least 10 normal soldiers in hand-to-hand combat. I on the other hand was given the power to defend. Although I can shield myself, Charlie says I have the power to shield a planet at maximum level. I still need this shield though to activate my powers just like my sister needs her torch." Says Paul.

"So this bow is my weapon. Although I don't quite remember. But I do feel energized when I touch it" Says John.

"Yes, we are all weapon users. But there will be a time when we can use these cosmic powers without our weapons. You know like Charlie did to you" Says Paul.

"Yeah, That was incredible. He just beat me without even touching me" Says John.

"Yes, he can telepath and attack weaker powered individuals by hypnotizing them to sleep just as he did to you and also Paula when she tried to resist Charlie's power. She was very strong compared to you. Charlie had to touch her to make her unconscious. But Charlie thinks you are stronger than her" Says Paul.

"How. I barely remember anything." Says John.

"Well, you can wield this bow. When you were unconscious Charlie told you that this bow was made by not the master but by one of his guardians. Your cosmic powers were given by the master but however, were forced into your mind slowly. Well, the master is not a guy who usually has patience over a protector however, his selected guardian can provide you with even their cosmic power. They are also as equally powerful as the leaders of the protectors." Says Paul.

"So I need to be thankful to this guardian then. Whoever she is has given me a ride too" Says John.

"Maybe. But let's be more practical now Bullseye. You learn more of the cosmos as we engage in our mission" Says Paul

As both of them go to the pod John stares at the glass of the giant aircraft awaiting the future and more at the voice that aided him.

Darr, Bullseye, And Paul are at the pod while the other protectors including the leader Charlie are at his huge aircraft which he calls the island. Gawdd, Paula, and Baruto enter the island's cockpit where Charlie is.

"Commander Charlie, you are not thinking of using the recruit in this mission are you?"Gawwd asks.

"Why? Are you not familiar with his attributes now?"Says Charlie.

"His attributes! This is a team and he is just in for a day. And I think even though he is a recruit he should be at the back in defense, shouldn't he" Says Gawdd

"Baruto saw him kick your ass, Gawdd," Says the giant man Baruto as he laughs at Gawwd.

"Ok. But Gawdd is right Commander. He is still a new guy. And we are talking about ending the war between Ajax and The Skrulls" says Paula.

"Ajax is a warlord. He has provided us with weapons and ammunition for our commandos. After the war ended between the Kree and the Skrulls the masters haven't provided us with adequate weapons as they used to do before. He is a hard person to deal with But does not intend to harm innocent people" Says Charlie.

"He has asked me to come and discuss the tactics when we attack the Skrulls. I have already told him that I will meet him. Commander Paula, commands the protectors in the pod with the coordinates to Xarta. Ajax told me more than 20,000 Skrulls have immigrated there." adds Charlie.

"Immigrants, Baruto does not attack civilians, Commander," Says Baruto.

"Yeah immigrants with armor and weapons, as Ajax says. I have seen them too. They are planning to take control of Xarta's Black Tower. If they take Black Tower, then Ajax may have to start thinking of transporting to a new planet."Says Charlie.

"The Black Tower. I have heard it's the most prominent structure in Xarta" Says Gawwd.

"Yes.It's in the heart of the island Taqarth, the biggest island and the source of the planet's income. It has unlimited gold mines and oil."Says Charlie.

"Looks like we have a mission in hand boys," says Darr.

"The Commander Paula has provided me with the coordinates of the planet Xarta. Looks like we will be welcomed by the minister Ajax ."Darr adds.

"War you mean to say," Says Paul.

"Yup. The minister only calls when he wants the green aliens to be kicked out. And we are still not bored with this"Says Darr.

"Well, what do you think Bullseye? This will be your first battle" Says Paul.

"And can be his last too. I have heard there are thousands of Skrulls ready to kill those Xartans. We are just bait to their war."Says Darr.

"I don't know but I will be ready. I don't remember anything. So I don't have anything to lose."Says John.

"And I thought we could be best friends Bullseye," Says Paul.

"What! I thought I was your best friend" Says Darr.

"I heard your mare flies too. Paula saw the mare fly when we found you in the pod that the master left you with."Says Paul.

"Well let me check then," says John as he looks at the horse. "It's huge, isn't it? No wonder it covers the back of the pod" Says John.

The horse shows no sign of resistance when John climbs the horse. Darr pulls the lever to open the back of the pod. The horse being happy with its owner starts to run and flies out of the pod.

A young man in a gigantic horse flying is the sight that many aircraft or flying vessels see. As John pulls the hair of the horse the horse runs faster blowing air into the cosmic path. John looks at the pod just to see its size decrease as he marches ahead with his horse.

"Wow, that's a sight to see. John is a big guy now. He is at least 4 inches more than 6 feet but he looks like an ant compared to that horse. what do you think Darr? A 12-foot horse or a pod? Which is faster?"Says Paul.

"Now you insulted me."Says Darr as he boosts the nitro and flies the pod to a maximum speed.

As the protectors reach Xarta, they are welcomed by Minister Ajax.

"You look Well old friend. Always a pleasure to see you" He Says as he welcomes Charlie and his men.

"Thank you Minister for the welcome. I do hope you have your best men too. I heard that there are 20,000." Charlie says as he is ready for the battle.

"Always the straight one. You haven't changed since we last met Commander. I remember my promise. And I have even forged a sword for you, one of the finest weaponry in Xarta. It will finish by the day. Come the people want to welcome you " Ajax says.

"I remember Paula, and that big guy but who is that in that horse? That is a beautiful horse. It looks like a She-horse. You know what I mean" Says Ajax.

"That's our new member. He is called BullsEye.He is a tough guy Minister" replies Charlie.

"Well we have 15000 soldiers but all soldiers like your commandos. They don't have cosmic power one funds for the soldiers nowadays. Even the masters just provide power or whatever they call it to those strong men you know men like you. And that's it." Says Ajax.

"The Protectors as they are called Ministers. Well, they too are soldiers. Although they are stronger than the soldiers some lack discipline." Says Charlie.

"Well, That would be rare in your command Commander. If you drive these Skrulls out forever I promise you to provide with additional modern weapons and gold" Ajax says.

"We will Minister. But Well need the coordinance with your soldiers." Says Charlie as they begin to strategize the attack.

"You and half of your men along with My commanders Paula and Gawwd will attack from the coast while half of your remaining men and Paul and I will initiate the attack. Covering me and men will be Bullseye and my commandos. Half of my commandos will remain with you in your cover along with Baruto."Says Charlie.

"We have already driven them into the radius commander. We don't need to attack them from corners. I don't think risking your and mine life would be necessary. It's a soldier war now. You and I will send our best hand-to-hand combatants and slay them all ." Says Ajax.

"But we will provide them security if any of them surrenders won't we Minister? That's always been my men's code" Says Charlie.

"As you say. Let's begin the march" Says Ajax.

Charlie stands in the middle of the island of Tarthas with all of his best soldiers surrounding him.

"OK, all of you listen. The Minister has already sent 15000 men to the north of the dark tower and he says it will be a hand-to-hand combat situation but will attack with our full 10000 soldiers from here on to the tower with Commander Paula, Gawwd, and Baruto in the line. While Darr, Paul, and Bullseye will make the situation in our favor as they will be attacking from the pod. The Skrulls also have some good aircraft. They might attack"Charlie says.
