The Possessive Choice Mate

"Alpha, Mario left the pack with your sister." Kayden reported.

"What? Why would he do that? Call everyone. Follow him. We need to get my sister back." I said.

Melissa is only twelve years old. I can't let him take her away even he claimed that they are mate.

Mario and I are best friend. We grew up together. Everyone thought that he will be my Beta but I chose Kayden instead. Kayden possess the character of being a beta. I can't make decisions base of our friendship only. One day I found out that he talks some of the pack members and asked them to support him to become Alpha. I thought that I can make him my third in command. He is good at training people and he is a great tracker.

I talk to him and asked why he wanted to challenge me as an Alpha? He knows he can't win. He told me that he's tired being the third in command. He has every right to challenge me in the title. I refused because I don't want to hurt him but he attacked me.

We fight until I made him surrender. He just came out of jail the other day and he told me he was Melissa's mate. I didn't believe him and I told him to wait a few more years because Melissa's still young. I thought our conversation went well but I was wrong. He kidnapped my sister. I can't forgive him this time. Whether Melissa is her mate or not, if something bad happens to my sister I will kill him.

'Kayden, what is the status? Where are they.' I ask through mind-link.

'Alpha, you should hurry up. We are at the south border. We found Mario and Melissa but he has many rogues protecting them.' Kayden reported.

'Rouges? How come the rogues protecting him?' I ask confuse.

'We don't know Alpha. They call him Alpha too. I think that he makes an alliance with the rogues. They are following him.'

'I'm almost there. Don't attack till I say so. My sister's life is in danger.' I said.

I arrive and saw almost twenty rogues all together. At the back I saw my sister with Mario. When she sees me, she tried to run to me but Mario grab him in the arms.

"Mario! Let go of my sister. don't use her to get to me. Fight me instead." I shouted.

"I told you, Melissa is my mate. She will come with me." Mario answers.

"She's too young. I told you to wait till she's in the right age. She's only twelve for god's sake!"

"Mark help me! I don't want him. He hurts me." Melissa shouted. I saw Mario got hurt in her words. He's really her mate.

"Melissa listen to me, don't fight him. Mario is your mate."

"But I don't like him. He is bad. He kidnapped me. I will reject him." Melissa said.

She doesn't know what she's talking about. Mario might hurt her if she continues to fight him. I see Mario's eyes, it changes. He's mad.

"Mario! She doesn't know what she's saying. Calm down."

'Kayden be ready. Mario might hurt Melissa. If he moves, we will attack them.' I ordered through our pack link.

"You are just like your brother. You choose other over me. I should be the beta but he makes me his third in command. Now, my mate rejecting me too." Mario says.

My heart beats fast as I saw Mario's claw elongating. "Kayden move."

I move quickly but stop suddenly when a sweet scent hit my nose. I look around to see a rogue girl standing near Mario and stares at me also. Mate! We both said.

Mario hear it and in just move, his claws moves to my mate heart. A painful growl escapes my mouth as my mate died in front of me. Her lifeless body fell in the ground.

"What a lucky day. Now to make this even better you will lose two important girls in your life." Mario says. I look at him while he move to my sister.

"Mario stop! She's your mate. Don't do this." I plea.

"So what? She said she doesn't want me and will reject me. I don't need her anyway." Mario says. He looks livid and out of mind. I wonder what makes him this way. It's like he is not the Mario I know. I move quickly but the rogues block my way. I try to get to her in time. I teleport even if it will make me weak but it's too late. Mario claw my sisters' heart and I see her small lifeless body falls in the ground. An earth-shaking roar escape my mouth. All I can see now is red. I want blood. A lot of blood. I just lost my sister and mate today. I can't think straight. I shift to my wolf and kill everyone that's in my way. My pack members move away, afraid that I kill them too. I am now out of control. My animal instincts kicks in. He's in pain. I'm in pain.

"Everyone! Out of Alpha Mark way. He's not thinking straight now. Move before he kills you." Kayden shouted.

I move around and kill everyone I see. I look for Mario but he's out of sight. He ran away. I follow his scent and hunt him. He will not get away on what he just did. I saw him a few meters away. He shifted into his wolf also and run. He can't outrun me. I am, the fastest in the pack.

I catch up with him and bite his leg. He tried to bite my neck but I dodge and bite his arm. I bite it till it remove in his body. He cries out in pain and that satisfies my wolf. We bite his neck and cut a chunk of it. He limps on the side and shift back to his human form.

"I still win Mark. You lost your mate and sister today. You will be lonely forever. What kind of brother and mate are you if you can't protect them? They died because of you. You will be alone forever that you will choose to die instead." Mario says while his holding to the little life he has.

I shift back and grab him in the neck.

"You're a demon. You will slowly die here. No one will help you. You will feel both pain of losing your mate and your life."

I throw him down and leave.

"Alpha? Are you alright?" Kayden asks.

"Did you kill them all?"

"Yes, Alpha but there's a woman who's crying in front of your mates' body. She said that she's her sister."

I saw a woman crying in front of my mate.

"It's your fault! Because of you he kills Amy." The rogue girl says.

"Woman, leave now before I kill you." I threaten her.

"I will not leave till I take my sister body." She says.

"You can't take her away here. You leave alone or you die."

"You're cruel. Mario is right, you are selfish and cruel man. This is why we help him to get this pack. He understands how we feel." She says.

I move fast and grab her in the neck.

"You help a man who kill his own mate to hurt me? The man who kill your sister because she's my mate? Now asks yourself am I the cruel one or you and Marco? I will not repeat myself. I will kill you if you don't leave now." I throw her away before I move and see my mate and sister lay on the ground together.

"Remember this, you will be miserable for the rest of your life." She says before she ran away.

"Alpha, are we going to follow her?" Kayden asks.

"Let her. She's my mate sister. I don't want her die in my pack too. Help me with her body and the other pack members who die today. We need to prepare their burial."

"Yes Alpha."

The Moon shines so bright in the sky. I look at her and curse her for doing this to me. How can she let my sister die? She's too young, too innocent to be killed by that monster. How dare she paired my sister to a monster. Now I'm mate less. I can feel my wolf getting crazy inside of me.

We start to burn their body after the ritual. I look at the remaining ash of my mate and sister. This will never happen. No rogue will make it out alive in my pack. I will kill them no matter what.

"Listen everyone! Starting today, no more rogues will leave our territory alive. All rogues will automatically kill if they enter our pack. No excuse, no age, no gender. All must die. This is my order. If someone caught helping any rogue will be killed too. Understand?"

"Yes Alpha!" everybody shouted.

I turn around and leave them. I went to the falls which is Melissa and I favorite hiding place. I use to bring her here whenever I got free time. She loves playing with the water and there's a lot of flowers around it. I feel pain all over my body and in my heart. There's an empty hole inside of it. A place where my soulmate and sister reside. I cry and cry until there's no more tears coming out.

How can you be so cruel to me? Why? Why Moon Goddess?

I look at the area, trying to find something out of place or something that might or should not be here. I need to focus on guarding this place today. I will not let any harm comes to my little Angel.

I'm in my own world when someone tap me on the shoulder.

"Hey Marky!" she said her endearment to me. Just like how my deceased sister used to call me.

"Congratulation Angel. Finally, you become the Moon crescent pack Luna. I'm so proud of you." I said.

I smiled to her. After being with me for two years, she now finds her new life here in the Moon Crescent pack. The pack who she hates before. Everyone here seems to love her more and more. Who doesn't? Slade Angel is the most powerful she-wolf in this world. She possesses the wolf that was created in the world of the Moon Goddess.

I think it's the right decision that I send her here for a mission. Because of that, she and Gabriel reconcile and happily mated together.

"Thank you, Mark, and please stop standing here while looking around like you are guarding the place or something." Angel says.

"I'm just looking around Angel, don't worry about me. Just enjoy your night." I said.

"You're not. I know it bothers you, the fact that I was kidnapped and almost killed. I'm okay now, don't worry about me." She says.

I don't want to argue with her more. She supposed to enjoy this day. This is her ceremony.

"Angel, please just enjoy your night and let me do this thing okay. I'll be leaving tomorrow and all I want to do right now is to make sure that you're okay till I leave." I said.

I don't want to leave without knowing that she's safe here. That witch will probably do things to talk to her. She's powerful, I can feel it. She's like traveling through the wind. I don't know why I sense her presence but I know that I need to watch out for tonight. She might kidnap my little Angel again.

Don't get it wrong, I love Angel as my sister not in a romantic way that Gabriel keep insisting. We almost killed one another when I came here and confronted him about the incident when Angel was kidnapped. I can't believe that he let that happened. Angel doesn't have wolf till this morning. But during the ceremony I sense Slade. She's back. I still figuring out what kind of connections do we have. It seems that my wolf and her wolf know each other even before I met her in the forest. They become family. I sometimes wonder if our wolf is connected before. Like we are reincarnated. I possessed the power of teleportation but not as powerful as Angel. If I used mine, it drains my power and leave me weak and sometimes unconscious.

I look around and mind-link Kayden and the others. I want them to stay alert. That witch will never get in here. Even Angel told me that there's a barrier in this pack that was given by the Moon Goddess. I still cannot stay here and just wait and watch.

"Mark, you should get some fun out there. There's a lot of mate less she-wolf there." Gabriel says.

"You're really her mate. Angel told me the same thing except the she-wolf part." I panic when I lost sight of her.

"You know, you can still have a chosen mate, right? There's a lot of mate less she-wolf. Some are rejected and some are already lost their mate and still trying to survive. We never know, maybe the Moon Goddess is preparing someone for you. She has her ways and she love her children. Don't lose hope." Gabriel says.

"I don't want to talk about it right now. By the way, where is Angel now? I can't see her around."

"She just went to our room. She told me that she's tired already. The party will end soon. You can rest now too and stop being on guard here. My warriors are scattered all over the place and the pack borders. No one will harm my mate." He says reassuring me.

"This witch Gabriel, you should take it seriously. I feel something odd in the wind. I don't know why or how but I feel her. Even witches are now extinct, we can't just let this one slide. I think she's older that we expect. She knows Slade, she knows where she came from. She might be living in this world since the very beginning." I said.

Gabriel clench his jaw. I can see worries in his face.

"I should go and rest with my mate now. Don't want to keep her wait alone there. You might be right. She might be plotting something. We can't let our guard down."

"Yes. Please, protect my Angel. If something happens, do not hesitate to call me. I'll be here always for your pack and specially for you two." I said.

"Thanks Mark. Angel is lucky have you as his friend." Gabriel says. I pat him in the back before he walks away.

Slade Angel, I'm happy. Now that you're staying with your mate. I'm happy that my little Angel will surely be happy for the rest of her life. I still remember when the first day I met her. I found her in the forest. The rogues almost rape her. She looks at me with hopelessness and vulnerability in her eyes. It affects me in many ways. My heart softens like I was looking at my sister. I don't like rogues. I despise them. But then I met her, I save her and taught her how to fight. Now she doesn't need me anymore. I will go back to my pack and feel lonely again.

I look up in the sky and watch how the moon shines above us all. She's watching us right now. I wonder what she's thinking up there. I wonder how she manage to ruin my life. I want to curse her. I want to blame her for everything but I know it will not do good. The last time she spokes me in my dream, she told me to let Angel go and send her to this pack. Little did I know that she's planning to make them together. But how about me? No, I don't want to care anymore.

THREE YEARS LATER

"Don't let those rogues escape! Catch them all. They will not leave my territory alive." I ordered. There been so much rogues reports this past few days. I've been stress so much catching them.

It's been ten years since my sister and mate was killed by my best friend Mario. He turns out to be power crazy and wanted to be the Alpha of this pack. He works together with the rogues that wanted to kill only.

I didn't expect that he will turn that way. I didn't expect him to kill his own mate, my twelve years old sister. I didn't expect that one of the rogues who follows him is my mate. I didn't expect that he will kill my mate too. He became power hungry and I just didn't make it on time to save them.

I thought I already kill him but after seven years he came back to start a war again. That time, I make sure that I really killed him. Those rogues don't deserve to live.

'Except Slade Angel.' My wolf said.

I agree with him. Slade Angel is the first ever rogue that I didn't kill. I save her from another rogue who wants to rape and kill her. I look at her and I felt like my sister is alive. I save her and becomes my pack.

'I miss that girl.' I said to Stallion, my wolf.

It's been three years since she becomes the Luna of Moon Crescent Pack. Who would have known that the rejected mate gets back together? She visited me from time to time but I wonder what she's doing now. She's not visiting for almost a month. I called Gabriel but he told me that Angel went to another pack to study. I don't know what she's up to, but I feel that it's about the witch who kidnapped her.

"Alpha, we caught them. There's a two male and one fe---."

I cut him in our pack link.

"Kill them." I ordered.

"Alpha, but there's a fema---"

"I don't care Kayden. You know the rules."

"Yes Alpha." Kayden says.

I know he disagree with my rules and punishments when it comes to rogues, but I don't have time to care about that.

'You know that when Angel found about this, both of us will get in trouble.' Stallion says. He is worried that Angel might found out about this. I told everyone to not let her know what is happening here. She's too busy with her own problems. I don't want to get her involve.

'She will understand me.'

'It's all in you. If she gets mad, that is because of you. I don't want my little Slade Angel to get mad at me too because of your actions.' Stallion says.

Stallion is getting emotional when it comes to Angel. She's been our anchor in life for two years. She's been our little sister that needed to be teach how to be strong. But now, she become the strongest wolf on earth.

How is she now? I hope she's not stressing herself too much.

Just like the Moon Goddess is listening, Slade Angel appears in front of me.

"What the hell?" I shouted.

I'm surprise by her sudden appearance.

"What the hell your face Mark!" She said angrily.

"What's wrong? Why are you mad?" I asked.

"You don't know why? the heck Mark! Why do you sentence all that rogues who enters in Wolf Fang territory a death? Why are you in a killing rampage again?" Angel asks angrily.

I can feel her power but I try to ignore it.

"It's my rules Angel. You don't have to worry about it. You have so much in your plate already." I said.

"You know, I once one of those rogues but you gave me a new life. You don't even spare them your time or ask them if they just want to apply as new member here." She says.

"You're different from them." I said.

"We don't know that." She said.

"Look, I don't want us to fight about this. Let me handle the pack okay?"

"Handle the pack? As far as I know, which everyone keeps hiding from me, you barely go out to socialize with the pack and all you to is to plan how to capture and torture those rogues. Wake-up Mark. I thought we talk about this three years ago when you finally killed Mario. It turns out that you're still trap in the past. Melissa and Amy are dead. They are not coming back even you kill all the rogues in this world."

My heart aches on how the situation turns out. Angel is crying for me. She's sad that I'm still trap in the past and can't seems to move forward.

I know it's true. I keep all this to myself. Ignoring the facts and letting my anger release to those rogues. She's right. No one can bring them back. Half of my soul will not be fix until I move forward and accepts a new one.

It's hard. How would I accept a new mate more on a choice mate? I don't know what's love anymore.

"I'm disappointed in you Mark. I really am." After she said that she vanishes in the air. She fully mastered her teleportation power now.

I was about to teleport too and catch her but I don't want to cause more trouble. The last time I used that, I almost died. She will get mad at me even more.

'This is what I'm talking about Mark.' My wolf said.

I should have listened to my wolf. Now, my little Angel is mad at me. I want to know who told her what's happening here but I know too that she's right. It took me a while to understand that even I do this all the time, this will not change anything now.

Because of what I've done, I might not see Angel for a while. She's a stubborn one and when she gets mad, no one can stop her if she does something bad.

It's all my fault. I should have listed to her. I'm sorry Melissa and Amy. I become a monster.
