"What about your son? You don't want to see him again?" I froze, his voice dipped even lower. "You'd really let your sister win? And let Zade leave you like that? You are easier than I thought." I shook my head slowly. "It's pointless. No one would believe me. They never have." Caspian leaned closer. "What if we signed a deal?" *** Branded a traitor by the pack she bled for, Nyx is betrayed by the sister she once protected and discarded by the mate who swore eternity at her feet. Stripped of her title, her son torn from her arms, she's dragged away in chains and sold like livestock to a rogue Alpha who sees her as nothing more than a pawn. But fate has other plans. Chapter 1 The first fall

Nyx's Pov

"So sister... your child's a bastard?" Keira said as she looked my way, a sly grin playing at the edge of her lips.... Her hands waving the DNA test results at the crowd.

Gasps filled the room... heads turned and every single eye was on me.

"Keira! What are you saying?! Liam is Zade's and my son. What are you talking about?" My voice shaky as I spoke.

"Oh please. Do you think we're stupid?! Every single one of these people have trusted you to uphold your duty as Luna but instead, you deceived them and gave the Alpha a bastard for a son,'' Keira spat.

"Keira, stop making a scene," I whispered into her ears. "We're here to celebrate your coming.. not to question the paternity of my child. This is not the place and time for this."

"Keira is right!'' A deep commanding voice echoed from behind bringing the murmurs to a halt.

Everyone's head turned to the direction of the voice.... Zade walked in, a glass of wine swinging in his hands.

"Okay guys," I chuckled. " Zade... I can't believe you joined Keira to pull a prank on me."

"A prank?" Keira muttered. " This is not a prank... you fooled the alpha and the entire pack and you have the guts to call this a prank?"

"Keira is right Nyx, that bastard is not my son," Zade uttered, his face etched with disgust.

He wasn't joking.... There was no sign of amusement on his face. Only anger... pure rage.

A sharp ringing pierced my eyes, drowning the gasps of the people around me. My breath trembled, my body numb as I searched his face in disbelief.

"Zade, how could you say that? Liam is your son and you know that!'' I said.

The guest's whispers grew louder, what started as a simple gossip turned into something hostile.

Some spat in my direction, some cursed me, the rest just stared at me in utter disgust ... but none of their opinions mattered.

The opinion that mattered was Zade's.

I ran towards him, hoping he'd at least believe me.

"Please,'' I begged with teary eyes, searching for any hint of doubt, even if it was the tiniest bit.

"Liam is your son. You know it. You were there when I gave birth to him two months ago. You can't believe any of this''

He stared down at me irritation marring his features. For the first time since he stepped into the room, he stared at me and he wasn't the man I remembered. This man standing before me was devoid of any emotion.

His dark eyes left mine and faced the room instead.

"She gave birth to a bastard for the Crescent moon pack and according to the elders, it's against the rule.''

"Please Zade. You have to believe me. Please...'' I whispered, tears trickling down my eyes.

"You are nothing but filth Nyx. You've ruined the reputation of alpha Zade and the entire pack. You can't even keep your legs closed," Keira sneered.

I ignored her and turned to Zade who was now staring at me.

For a moment, I thought his gaze softened. I thought somewhere in his heart, he believed me.

We had been married for a year, I carried and delivered his child safely. I thought his silence meant that he was considering his own intuition.

But then his gaze hardened again and he turned back to the crowd.

"I hereby denounce Nyx as the Luna of Crescent moon pack. She has brought shame to me and to the entire pack members and I'm afraid she can no longer bear the position of my Luna anymore. As tradition calls for, I am to find a new Luna and mate to bear the responsibility of the pack.''

He paused and pulled Keira closer.

What in the name of the goddess is happening? I couldn't believe my eyes.... Zade held Keira's hands and planted a kiss on it.

Keira was only allowed into the palace after I invited her, how did she get so intimate with Zade?

I wasn't sure if I was missing something or I was just overthinking things. Was this planned all along?

I carefully rose to my feet, my ears straining to hear the next words that'd drop from Zade's mouth.

"Meet your new Luna, Keira.''

I froze, my heart racing. How could he discard me and take her in so fast?

My head spun... my mind reeled with different thoughts and imaginations. The tears I had been holding in fell freely down my cheek.

Was this all planned? Has Zade been having an affair with Keira behind my back?

He had promised to make me his Luna a year ago to keep his position and keep me by his side too.

I watched the love I had for him before and after our marriage, crumble to the ground.

He solely confessed to Keira right in front of everyone.

"She has been the one I fell in love with from the moment I was born a leader. She's my true mate and your Luna."

I fell to the ground. The realization punching harder than I could endure.

"So to you Nyx..." he knelt to the ground and lifted my chin. "You're no longer needed here. You were stupid... giving me your all thinking I'd as actually love you. Tch! In your dreams."

Tears slowly dropped from my eyes, his words crushing my bone and piercing my heart in pieces.

"You were only married to me because Keira needed her college certification, and you? You just wanted to be a house wife but you failed," his words crushed me harder.

He took a step closer to me, I took a step back.

He leaned forward and whispered into my ears.

"Liam is indeed mine and that's why I'm going to keep him." He grinned.

"What?" My voice was barely audible. "You...you can't take my son, he's mine too." I protested.

I grabbed his shirt, screaming. "You can't take my son from me... book." But he shoved me to the ground. I hit the floor, pain shooting up my ankle. Gasps filled the hall, but no one moved to help.

"You touch me again, and I'll have you hanged." His voice was cold, it was nothing short of disapproval.

Tears burned down my cheeks. Zade never loved me, he only needed an heir and I provided one.... Now his true love is back and I was disposable.

I looked up to Keira, her smile wide enough to show how excited she was. The last time we spoke over the phone before she arrived was when I gave birth. She said to in a very sweet voice.

"I'm so happy for you, Nyx. At least letting go of college does pay off. You've got a man that loves you and now you have a child"

She said those words and I believed she was there for me. I believed every single word she said.

I believed every action of Zade and the love he showed, rather the one he pretended to show.

The man I once loved, betrayed me.

Anger coursed through my veins. I lunged towards them, yelling and screaming. "You fucking bastard." I smacked and bit hard on them, as much as I could.

Keira shoved me to the ground after she managed to pull my hand away from her hair. I was held too tight to be satisfied.

I was far too broken now. It was petty and foolish, but it was the only thing I could control.

"Lock her up! She doesn't deserve to be among us anymore." Zade ordered.

The guards seized me instantly, dragging me away as I screamed, kicked and begged.

"Zade! Give me back my son."

The guards dragged me across the hall, I screamed for Liam until my throat burned but no one listened.

Then they threw me into the dungeon. The ones made for low ranked rogues.

The door slammed shut, my body shook form the cold but my mind burned with one thought. I would get Liam back-No matter what it took.

Chapter 2 The Deal

Nyx Pov

I wasn't quite asleep, neither was I awake. My body was numb and my mind was clouded.

It felt as if the world had disappeared and I was forced to survive this miserable life...

The moon goddess was probably also laughing at my stupidity... to think that Zade actually loved me. All be wanted was to sleep with me for a heir.

My lips were cracked from dehydration, but I had to stay strong for my son.

I hear footsteps, moving closer. Then there were voices, the voices were unmistakable, loud and sharp.

Fear crawled over my skin as the footsteps got closer.

I forced my eyes open, blinking in the dark, clutching unto the hem of my dress.

The door creaked open and a little light peaked through the cell but I still couldn't see anything. Three shadows stepped in with their faces covered with mask

Suddenly, a rough hand yanked me up.

"Wha...what!?" My voice hitched, I tried to struggle but I was too weak.

I screamed, only to have something shoved into my mouth, muffling the sounds. They dragged me out of the cell. I winced as my sprained ankle scraped against the hard stone floor.

I was thrown to the ground like an object that had no value.

"How did you put up with her for a year?" A familiar voice said, his voice dripping with mockery.

'Alpha Draven?' I thought.

Then I heard the next voice... it was unmistakable.. I had heard it everyday for a year.

Zade..

"She was quite the easy one. It was easy to get the town on my side because of her, she was quite useful," Zade chuckled.

"I'm only doing this because it benefits me but our rivalry still remains. I'm not going to trade a deal for my Pack's protection." Alpha Draven uttered.

I'm a deal? What deal? What was Zade doing with his sworn enemy?

I mustered some courage and crawled towards Zade, I didn't know what I expected him to do but it was certainly not this. He grabbed a fistful of my tangled hair and yanked me forward.

I stumbled and landed hard at Draven's feet.

"Hey.. you two, take her," Draven ordered the two guards that were standing behind him. "Nice doing business with you," he muttered to Zade.

I was grabbed like I was nothing, an object to be used and tossed off to the next.

They dragged me out into the cold, through familiar terrain until we arrived at the borders of the Silver fang pack.

The maids of the palace laughed at me as we walked past them.

Draven halted as we reached a little door.

"Remember the time you poked your hands in my face?" Draven whispered, his hot breath brushing against my skin. "I still remember the look on your face and how you made me feel. You should have accepted my offer then but instead you ran off like a pathetic errand dog for the man who only married you because his lover was taking a break."

" Now I can have you to myself, and treat you the way I want," he muttered, his hands trailing down my chest. "And you know what's interesting? I bought you at a price I wouldn't even buy a street beggar."

My skin crawled, every word.. every touch made my resolve drop. Zade sold me out to his enemy. He knew how much I hated Draven, how much I stood by his side just to bring Draven down.

"Now you can really start living miserably." He added as he opens the door and pushed me into the room.

I felt alone, my heart ached so bad I wanted to kill myself....to end this miserable thing called a life. Just as I was contemplating on the idea...I felt a presence then I saw it-a feet.

I tried to move but I was instantly cut off by a palm clamping over my mouth.

Hearing a growl sent a shiver down my spine. My heart nearly stopped. The growl wasn't from any low ranked wolf.

That couldn't be an Alpha, maybe a rogue?

I couldn't tell but one I knew death was here already.

I was weak... all the energy I had had been drained by the betrayal of the ones I loved the most and the words of the one I hated the most.

I groaned, barely able to lift my head when the lights came on. A strong arm slid under my arm and pulled me up. I felt movement, and I didn't know where we were going.

My head throbbed, my feet felt sore and I couldn't feel my body. I caved in and passed out.

***

I fluttered my eyes slowly... taping my chest as I gasped for air. I couldn't breathe, my chest tightened, my vision blurred.

The man staring down at me wasn't Draven and he certainly wasn't Zade either. The man standing right in front of me was taller, bolder and fierce.

His eyes were sharp and silver like ice, fixed on me with such brutal intensity that I felt like shrinking into nothing. His hair was tousled black, and his aura was suffocating.

I looked around and saw the furnitures, the bed I was laid on and the luxury I was surrounded with.

Tears blurred my vision. I wasn't ready for whatever he was going to say... I had heard enough to break my spirit.

Then he spoke, his voice came low and controlling, somehow even terrifying than Zade's.

"Look up." He uttered.

I tried not to move, not to speak or even lift a finger.

"I said, look up." He repeated. I hesitated, every part of me shaking..

Then he added, with a casual cruelty that made my stomach twist, "If you keep that up, I might start thinking you're not what they say you are. I do not bargain for weaklings."

I forced my head up, still trembling. This was a matter of life and death.

"I don't know what you've heard but I'm not weak. I just want my son back and kill everyone that tried to take him away from me."

His lips twitched, and a cruel smirk spread across his face.

"You're really something. You have the nerve to think I'd care?"

I didn't care if crying made me look pathetic. My child was the only reason I was still breathing. I had to get him back from Zade and to do that, I had to survive and I would do anything to survive.

He stepped forward slowly, his claws extended, and his fangs revealed themselves....

I closed my eyes m, trembling in fear. Would this really be the end of me? Is this the way I die?

Suddenly the door creaked open.

"Alpha Caspian."

Chapter 3 The Deal 2

Nyx's Pov

"Alpha Caspian," the guard called.

Alpha Caspian.... I've never heard of an alpha with that name before. He was definitely not from the neighboring Nashville town.

" What is it?" Alpha Caspian uttered.

" Which of your mistresses should we release? That fool is making a scene again," the guard explained.

"Deal with it yourself," he sighed, clenching his fist. "You can go."

The guard didn't move after Caspian dismissed him, his face was blank but his stance was firm like he feared what would happen if he left... or maybe it was something else.

Caspian turned his head slightly, "What are you still waiting for? Can't you see I'm busy?" His expression was getting slightly irritated.

"I just thought...giving them the last two would not favor you and it's my job to look after you."

"I didn't ask that from you. Just do what I asked you and stop poking around." His voice was calm and quiet, like he was holding back the urge to kill.

The man moved closer to Caspian, he didn't look at me but I saw the amusement in his eyes as he approached Caspian.

I sat quietly, managing my attention drifted away from them but my ears were strained to listen to what they were talking about.

He leaned in, "I assume if we give out the rest of your mistresses, there'll be no one left to ease your pain." He said in a hushed voice, but loud enough for me to hear.

Caspian didn't respond immediately, I caught the tension in his jaw. Whatever pain they were talking about it wasn't something he'd like to hear.

"And I said, you should take care of it." He finally said, "Handle it as you've always done and nothing must go wrong or your life goes with it."

The man nodded and headed towards the door, slipping out silently.

Caspian and I were alone again. I stayed in place, frozen and still sitting on the edge of the bed they had thrown me into.

Then Caspian turned to me, his gaze was eerily uncomfortable.

"Get up," he said.

I couldn't move at first. I heard everything and pretended not to, did he catch on? What was he going to do, molest me?

He stepped closer, and lifted my chin, "Didn't you hear me? I said get up."

I stood slowly and gently, unsure of what would come next. For some reason, I was more curious than scared.

"Take off your dress." He said sharply,

My breath caught in my throat

"What?" I yelled loudly.

I expected a lot of things but certainly not this.

"This jerk." I thought to myself.

"i didn't stutter and I certainly wasn't speaking another language. You heard me, take your damn clothes off," he said.

"Don't you think it's wrong for you to tell me to take off my dress? That's totally inappropriate." I protested, clutching unto my dress.

He chuckled and my whole body hitched.

Rage and humiliation flushed through me. They were all the same, of course.... Why did I think otherwise ?

"If you want to kill me or torture me, do it. You want to make me your slave like Draven asked...."

"Draven?" He muttered.

"Yes, Draven! Why? You brought me from his pack. So, kill me if you want to. That'll be much better than living my life as a mistress for someone who trades people like possessions."

He scoffed.

"But you are my possession." he said as he pressed his index finger on my lips. "So, take off your clothes as I asked or I'll stop being nice."

"Never!"

I know I shouldn't be this brave... but even if ur meant I die I would not have some scumbag control me again.

Caspian sighed and looked me in the eyes. For a second I forgot how those silver colors of his eyes scared me, but after he talked casually? They looked pretty and fierce.

And

He chuckled, "What kind of man would you strip for, then? The man who deceived you or the one that sold you off?"

I stayed silent, completely out of words. He won. His words dug up things that had happened this past few days.... My mind drifted to Liam for a minute, "My son." I muttered without knowing, an excessive drop of tears filled the holes in my eyes.

Caspian rolled his eyes and tossed something at me, a folded black dress.

"Change your dress." He ordered. "Unless you'd rather walk through this pack looking like a stray."

I hesitated, then turned my back. "Don't look," I muttered as I slipped into the dress. The fabric was soft and warm, expensive....I was sure. But it still felt like wearing someone else's skin..

When I turned around, he was already pulling a chair forward. He motioned to the one opposite him.

"Sit," he ordered.

I obeyed, cautiously. He studied me for a moment before speaking.

"Where were you born?" he asked.

I blinked. The question caught me off guard. "Why does it matter?"

"I told you. I own you now and you listen to me. So, I'm asking questions, and you're still alive which means you have to answer them!"

I swallowed. Why was he all grumpy now? And what was that about his possession? I was definitely his slave.

"Aren't you going to answer?"

"You don't even know where your bought slave was born? Do you just buy things without checking?" I replied with a purpose of irritating him.

"So you agree now that you're my possession."

"No! I agree I'm your slave."

"Seriously? With that dress on you?"

"What does it matter? Why won't you just kill me?" I yelled.

He frowned, raised my chin, "And let everything I've been planning go to waste because of your ignorance?"

I frowned. "What are you planning? And what do you want to do with me!?"

"That's not your business. Just keep in mind you're alive because of me and I'll do anything to keep it that way."

I narrowed my eyes, "So, you're not going to kill me?"

"No," he said simply. "I took you from Draven. That means you owe me and you'll pay me back.... Soon."

"I don't have anything to pay back. You should just kill me now or send me back to my son."

He scoffed, "What makes you think you have a say in this?"

"Honestly I don't know," I admitted. "But what could I possibly have to give you?" I hissed, "I'm a ripped Luna, I am broken. You already have everything, except maybe respect-just like the other Alphas."

A dangerous smile spread on his lips. "If only you were that sharp when you were with Zade," he said mockingly. "Maybe then you'd have understood what love is."

I snapped, " I won't sit here and let you laugh at me. Put me out of your twisted game."

"What about your son? You don't want to see him again?"

I froze, his voice dipped even lower. "You'd really let your sister win? And let Zade leave you like that? You are easier than I thought."

I shook my head slowly. "It's pointless. I don't have the power to, it'll just be a fail and make things worse."

Caspian leaned closer.

"Well.... What if we signed a deal?"
