The Passion Awakens

Hellen was used to

being the center of attention, she was popular at school, cheerleader of the

Angry Wolves soccer team, had long curly hair as dark as the night, and eyes as

blue as a sunny day, her body was perfectly perfect , As far as she was concerned

her life was perfect, her father was the alpha of the Red Moon Pack, the second

largest pack in the world thanks to her father's unique way of leading and

training the members, second only to the royal pack, and that was because that

was where the Alpha King ruled.

Hellen's plans for

life were simple, to graduate and go to college far away from Forks, the small

town surrounded by forest, and composed almost entirely of wolves, except for a

few humans who lived among them but knew about the secret of Forks, to get away

from the surveillance of her father and her brother Trevan, who would soon be

the future Alpha.

She wanted the

freedom of not having anyone bossing her around, she was the little girl of the

family, since her mother died shortly after she was born in a raid by rogue

wolves, which made her father and brother extremely protective of her, as well

as spoiling her.

But there was still

a year to go before she could go to college, and to her long-dreamed-of

freedom.

Hellen sighs and remembers

once again the fiasco that was the night before, when she finally agreed to go

out with Mike, the most popular wolf after her brother and Noah her future

beta, she had just turned seventeen, and there was no sign that her mate was

going to be of this pack, so she finally decided to give her first kiss, after

all kissing wouldn't hurt anyone.

No one would believe

that the most popular girl was a BV, a term used for people who had never

kissed, but her fame came from na incident when a boy in the fifth grade told a

friend that he had kissed her behind the bleachers at the end of a game, and

the rumor spread and she didn't deny it because it matched her image as a

popular girl, and so always one or two boys made up rumors that she didn't

deny, which made her brother furious, although he was two years older than her

and no longer at school, Noah to Hellen's misfortune was eighteen and in her

class, he kept Trevan informed about Hellen's every move at school, and that

was how her alpha father Dilan and her brother found out about her meeting with

Mike.

Just remembering her

brother knocking on Mike's car window just as he leaned in to kiss her and her

father literally yanking the poor guy out of the car as soon as he opened the

door made her want to cry.

Even knowing that

Mike wouldn't give up on her couldn't improve her mood.

"Hellen if you don't

come down I'm going up and you won't like it," Trevan shouts from downstairs.

Since last night

Hellen had been on a silent strike, as she knew it mortally annoyed her father

and brother , she had refused to eat breakfast and lunch, and although she was

starving and her wolf Sally was restless, she intended to skip dinner.

"That's enough Hell,

I'm starving, if you're not coming down , then let's go out for a run and I can

hunt a deer," Sally complains

Sighing Hellen

decides to go downstairs for dinner and maintain the strike of silence.

In the dining room

she finds her father and brother, who seem relieved to see her.

"Darling Madam Luiza

has prepared your favorite dish," says her father but without getting any

response.

Hellen simply sits

down and serves herself completely ignoring the presence of her father and

brother.

"Mike is not the guy

for you little sister, we just want you to save yourself for your mate," Trevan

tries

Snorting in anger

Hellen gives up the strike of silence and says:

"By any chance

before you found out Eve was your mate you hadn't already picked up half the

girls in the gang" and turning to her father says " and you daddy do you think

I don't know about your nightly encounters with Mrs. Peterson?"

The silence she

receives in response only increases her anger.

"Now you want me to save myself for a guy that may take

years to show up and that for sure will have already got all over the place,

without even a kiss?, damn you have crossed the line" and without mercy she

plays her final move, "if mom was here I'm sure she would agree with me, I'm

not saying I'm going around sleeping with guys but a kiss won't kill anyone".

Her father sighs

defeated and says:

"That's fine as long

as it doesn't go beyond that..."

"Dad you can't be

serious", Trevan interrupts

"Yes I am, she's

right son, there are wolves that unfortunately can't find their mates, we can't

ask her to do that", and turning to Hellen he says, "but young lady, that

doesn't mean we won't be watching you, and if that imbecile gets one finger out

of line it will be the end of him" he says giving the subject as closed.

And Hellen feels her

world getting back on track where everything is exactly the way she wants it.

"Changing the

subject, the royal delegation arrives tomorrow for the first day of school"

says Alpha Dilan

"What? Who is

arriving tomorrow?" asks Hellen interested.

"Daughter we have

been talking about this for months, our flock has been chosen by King Alpha to

house Prince Luke and his friends for his last year at school, so he can have a

look at our training and leadership method"

"I hear he is

cursed" says Trevan as he pours himself more food.

"Cursed?" asks

Hellen interested.

"Well he is the most

powerful being in our world, much stronger even than his father the Alpha

King,,, and that has made him cruel and cold, and he can't meet his mate as na

agent, by smell , he only recognizes her by the most intimate touch, they say

he and the group are very ill tempered" says Alpha Dilan and turning to his

daughter "stay away from them dear".

Hellen smiles, but

little does she know that her perfect world is about to change.

Luke couldn't

believe that he had let his father talk him into spending a year in that end of

the world, this was all because their alpha was doing a great job and his father

thought that he as a future Alpha king would benefit by learning from the alpha

Dilan of the red moon gang , not that his father could make him do anything,

because ever since he first transformed at the age of eight it was clear that

he would be much stronger than his father and older brother, but Luke couldn't

say no to his father lately as he was seriously ill.

"Haa go cheer up

your mate might be there" says Diego his brother and future Beta

Luke quickly looks

at Vanessa, but she still seems to be sleeping.

"Oh sure, I just

sleep with all the girls in the gang and if I'm lucky one of them is the

promised one" , he answers wryly , "by any chance has that worked for you?" he

asks his brother, for although people believed he was cursed, it was not true,

for all male descendants of the first Alpha king had the same condition, they

only suffered the mate bond with closer contact.

"Not really, more I

have fun trying," Diego replies and Luke can't repress a smile

"For me daddy was

the luckiest to find mommy and her to be his mate" says Luke

"Maybe he is right and we are somehow attracted to our

mates, look at dad, he says he couldn't help it even though he was dating

someone else, and Uncle Beto said he hated Aunt Silvia so much that he only

slept with her to get revenge and that she was his mate"

"The only person

that attracted me in this life was Vanessa and we already know that she is not

my mate" Luke says once again checking if his girlfriend is still asleep.

Diego rolls his

eyes, it's no secret that he doesn't like Vanessa.

Luke loves and

respects his brother and values his Beta bond, but he doesn't agree with him

about Vanessa, Diego says that Vanessa is fake and deceitful, and has me in her

hands playing the role of a shy and demure girl when in fact she's the devil on

earth, According to him, all the accidents that happened to girls who got too

close to me were the work of Vanessa and her best friends Tiffany and Rachel,

but for Luke the brother was prejudiced because Vanessa was a hybrid, half wolf

and half vampire, and vampires and werewolves do not have a very good track

record.

To Luke Vanessa was

exactly the sweet, shy girl she seemed to be, and he was glad he hadn't found

his mate if he could make Vanessa his queen instead .

"Are we there yet?"

asks Beto my best friend and Gama, who shares Diego's opinion about Vanessa and

her friends.

"No Donkey" says

Diego laughing at his own joke.

There are six of us

in all, my father wanted me to leave Vanessa in the kingdom, but she refused to

stay, and so I had no choice but to let her friends come along too.

The Van's headlight

illuminates a sign that reads " Welcome to Forks population of three thousand

five hundred and forty-five."

"Finally," says

Beto.

The driver who had

picked them up at the Seattle airport said:

"Welcome to Forks"

And headed for the house next door to the alpha's that had been meant for them

to stay .

To Luke's surprise

there was no one waiting for them, which makes him happy.

As he gets out of

the car a shiver runs down his spine and his wolf Tron stirs.

"What was that,

buddy?" asks Luke to Tron but gets only silence in response.

Taking Vanessa on

his lap he enters the house and puts her in the room she will share with her

friends, it's not that they didn't sleep together but Tron was territorial, and

didn't like sleeping with Vanessa in the same bed.

The house had four

bedrooms with individual bathrooms, so he and the boys would take one room each

and the girls shared one.

Luke lies in bed

thinking about the Companion that he probably won't find, but he believes that

she would be like Vanessa, sweet, shy and quiet.

The next morning the

alpha Dilan and his son Trevan come to welcome the group.

Luke is happy to see

that the two cars and the motorcycle they brought with them are already parked

in front of the house. After a quick conversation with alpha Dilan, Luke can

already see that the guy is really special, always putting the welfare of the

group first.

Now he Vanessa and

her friends are heading to the school, the boys are right behind in the other

car, Luke makes a face when a red BMW convertible passes them , who would drive

such a car in that end of the world.

Vanessa sitting next

to Luke thinks that she should have stayed in the kingdom, from the

conversation she overheard yesterday between Luke and that idiot Diego made it

clear that she didn't run the risk of Luke going around looking for that

Companion, it had been a lot of work pretending all the time to be this girl

without salt to win him over, and now he was getting closer and closer to mark

her as his companion, if it wasn't for his wolf that was also making things

difficult this would have already happened, but now looking at this end of the

world, she can't help but regret for having come along.

Meanwhile Hellen arrives at the school just in time to wish

good luck to Mike, who was going to take the test to be a warrior of the gang,

if he passed he would start training with the elite and who knows this way his

father and Trevan would stop picking on him.

"Hey there kitty,"

says Mike kissing Hellen's cheek who smiles at the gesture .

"Hi , look Mike

about the other night..." starts Hellen

"Relax kitten, next

time maybe we'll have better luck" says Mike winking at her and wrapping his

waist with one hand and asks, "but we are together aren't we?"

"Yes we are," Hellen

replies decisively.

At that moment

someone bumps into her and if it hadn't been for Mike holding her, she would

have fallen.

She turns to see who

was the rude stray when her eye makes contact with a beautiful boy, he was

tall, strong, with blond hair and blue eyes that Ellen didn't know it was

possible to have eyes that color, but his face showed disgust, and a certain

anger.

He just walks by as

if she was nothing and he hadn't just almost thrown her to the ground.

"Hey rude, where did

you come from they didn't teach you to apologize when you bump into people"

says Hellen as she is not used to being ignored.

A girl who seemed to

be his friend said:

"Touch yourself

girl, you are talking to Prince Luke Didion".

But Hellen is not

intimidated and says:

"Oh, now I get it,

it's the cursed one" and she turns to Mike, who stares at her.

Diego observes the

scene intrigued as well as Beto, what could have happened to Luke is the

question they ask themselves, they were standing there talking about how it

would be better to be distributed in different classes, so they could have na

overview of how things worked over there, when they realized that Luke was

focused on the conversation of a couple a little ahead, The girl was beautiful

but not Luke's style, she was the typical popular girl, everyone who passed by

greeted her, and although she didn't dress vulgarly it was obvious that she

dressed to call attention, her long dark hair fell almost to her waist.

It wasn't that Luke

was incapable of seeing the beauty of the girl, but it so happens that about

three years ago his best friend discovered that the popular girl at school was

his partner, at first the girl seemed to be happy, but shortly after they had

made up their minds she ran away with a human, a famous American soccer player,

in the letter she left him she said things like she wanted her freedom, and to

know the world, this broke Joshua up and he killed himself shortly after. And

this transformed Luke, who started to have na aversion for that kind of girl.

But to Diego and Beto's surprise he didn't take his eyes off

the girl in front of him, only that at the moment that the guy hugged her and

the girl confirmed that they were going out together Luke had a kind of

outburst because he passed by the girl like a tractor almost throwing her to

the ground.

Beto stifles

laughter as he hears the girl's response to Raquel one of Vanessa's

insufferable friends , unfortunately Vanessa had gone to the bathroom with

Tiffany her other insufferable friend or this scene would get much more

interesting, but the girl calling Luke cursed in front of him was the highlight

of the week for Beto who was doing everything not to fall in laughter, this

showed that either the girl was dumb or brave, but no matter which one she was

Beto was already her fan.

"What's gotten into

you," Luke asks Tron

"I don't know, all I

know is that guy touching the girl is pissing me off" replies Tron

Luke turns around

and looks at the girl who just called him cursed. And he can't deny that she

was beautiful, but if there was na embodiment of the true preppy girl , it was

that one right now, and Luke hated girls like that.

"What did you say?"

asks Luke to Hellen

By now they have

caught the attention of the whole school who is watching them to find out what

is going on.

Hellen gets all

stuck up, and Luke thinks she looks even cuter when she sticks her little nose

up like that.

As he realizes his

thoughts Luke thinks " what the fuck are those thoughts".

"There you didn't

know that's what it's called" says Hellen getting more and more irritated "they

say it's because you can't find your mate like the rest of us, but I personally

think it's because you're uneducated arrogant" she finishes by sticking her

nose up even more.

Beto can't stand it

any longer and bursts into laughter, earning na angry look from Luke, who is

increasingly interested in his brother's reaction.

Luke takes two steps

towards the annoyingly beautiful girl, but the guy who is with her seems to

have taken courage and pulls her behind him, earning a look of admiration from

the idiot girl, Luke decides to show her that his protector would not last a

second with him.

At this point Beto

loses his cool and he and Diego decide to intervene.

At the same time the

Alpha Dilan and his son Trevan and his Beta appear and seeing the situation

they pose protectively in front of the young couple who are the target of

Lucky's anger.

Luke's eyes

immediately turn red; it seems that brat had a habit of winning the protection

of the males of the gang.

Diego and Beto

posture themselves next to Luke immediately and Diego whispers in his brother's

ear:

"What's gotten into

you?"

"What the fuck are

you doing man?" helps Beto .

And that was exactly

the same question Luke was asking himself.

Alpha Dilan is the

first to speak:

"What the hell is

going on here?"

"I thought you guys

came here to learn our method and not to attack my sister" , spits Trevan

already overcome by anger and with red eyes too.

"Let's calm down"

says Alpha Dilan in a tone that doesn't admit discussion.

Luke takes a deep

breath and begins to realize how big a mess he's gotten himself into, because

the brat was Alpha Dilan's daughter.

"Okay, Hellen dear

can you explain to me what's going on here?", Alpha Dilan continues

"I don't know, I was

talking to Mike when the Cursed One..." begins Hellen

"Hellen!" growls

alpha Dilan in warning

"Okay, okay ... when

the hot one ..." tries Hellen once again, and Beto has another laughing fit

"Hellen I'm warning

you" , says na alpha Dilan red with anger

"Okay", Hellen gives

in, "I was talking to Mike when the Prince , came and bumped into my back , I

only didn't fall because Mike held me"

Alpha Dilan arches

her eyebrows looking at Luke, who thinks he has no excuse for this after all

even he didn't know why he acted like that.

"It was just a

misunderstanding" , Diego tries

"It won't happen

again," Luke completes, as he wasn't there to displease the alpha of the gang

but to learn from him.

"Thanks Mike, I

think you can go, with my sister to class now" Trevan says and when Mike makes

mention of leaving he completes , "and Mike sorry about the other night, you

are welcome anytime you want to meet up with Hellen"

Mike cracks a huge

smile, and pulls Hellen by the hand into the school, not even casting a glance

at Luke, and Hellen follows him but rolls her eyes when she sees Luke following

them with his eyes.
