The Paranormal All-Stars Presents

Author: : Myrrh D. KeIzer
Genre: Horror
Around the mid-2010's, Mab De Narra created a social media group that was meant to be a place where people can share their personal paranormal and supernatural experiences without the fear of being judged by others. They could even find others who can help them with their paranormal questions, spiritual issues, and supernatural problems on this page. Meanwhile, she was eventually included in The Paranormal All-Stars, where she is able to help even more puzzled and troubled individuals. And by sharing these cases and experiences through this book, we hope to help more to not fear what they don't know... ...but to see beyond what their senses tell them. After all, there's always more to these things than meets the eye.

Chapter 1 Pregnant

I would like to share this scary experience that I had last March 7-8, 2013. I was close to giving birth then, and we have been inside the clinic for four days.

They had three small rooms there for those who are giving birth. It was tight, and the only furniture that fit there was a single bed and three plastic chairs. My husband and I occupied one room, and the other two were empty.

Then a pregnant woman went in and asked for a check-up. We caught a bit of their conversation, not because we intended to eavesdrop, but because the clinic wasn't large, and the walls of the rooms were thin. The midwife told the woman to go home, walk around a bit and come back in the morning the next day.

However, the woman couldn't wait until tomorrow to get herself admitted. That night, she came back, along with her husband and her grandmother. The woman was young; I believe she was still around 18 years old.

So it was now noisy, and the people were now moving around outside. My husband and I weren't able to get back to sleep because of it, and we simply listened to them as if we were listening to a radio show.

Then suddenly the power went out. There were emergency lights in the clinic, but there were only two of them outside our rooms, and the rest were in the delivery room. A few minutes passed, then someone screamed in utter fright! The midwife's assistant said that she saw something by the window.

The door was in between two windows with jalousie glass. There was apparently a dark-skinned person who peeked in. The assistant wasn't able to see the face of the person, but she did see their eyes. The midwife stopped the assistant from saying any more, because obviously, it wasn't the right time to scare anyone.

I couldn't explain what I felt that night. There was fear, but there was also worry and concern, just like in another story that was told in the group about aswang. The aswang is our local version of the vampires of old and they are known to favor unborn and newly born babies.

As a mother, there's a feeling burning inside me that will fight anything because you wanted to protect your baby. My husband and I now turned on both our phones' flashlights as if expecting something or someone to attack.

It was soon the middle of the night, and the pregnant lady was crying because her abdomen was already aching. It was noisy inside the clinic, but we could clearly hear a cat's loud meowing. It was just outside the window and was also making so much noise.

I honestly didn't like what I was feeling back then and my arm hairs were now all standing up.

They already took the young lady to the delivery room. As I mentioned just earlier, there were also emergency lights there. The midwife also had all the equipment for helping someone give birth in that room.

Then someone screamed again.

They said that there was a large cockroach inside the room. Like, absolutely black, and not brown like the usual roaches you see at home. They made a ruckus inside and started to attempt smacking the pest until it went out of the room.

I invited my husband to pray with me. We prayed and prayed, not only for us and our baby but also for the other woman, who was now giving birth, and her baby.

We could hear that she was having a hard time pushing the baby out. The woman was already being scolded by the midwife since she wasn't listening or following what she was being told to do. It continued until we heard it had become an actual emergency.

There was a problem with the child. It was already blackened when it came out. The child was now dead. I couldn't help but cry my eyes out at the news.

When everything had already quieted down, I think the lady had already fallen asleep then; we heard the conversation between the midwife and the grandmother...

The grandmother said that she knew it would happen. She had a dream some time before where she saw that her granddaughter had given birth and the child was already dead when it came out. It seemed that all of the first-born children in their family die, taken by the ones that come after them.

The midwife couldn't believe what just happened either. The child was still moving inside the lady's womb the last time she checked, and that was earlier in the day. The heartbeat was okay as well.

She also couldn't believe that there was a cockroach in the delivery room since they cleaned it every day. It was their first ever one inside that room. It was large and black.

That was also their first death in their clinic. The midwife was well known in our area since she was good at maneuvers, and even if the position wasn't favorable at first, she could get the baby out via a normal delivery.

And yet, here was a baby dead while in her care.

=====

Even though the clinic just experienced a death, we didn't leave that place yet.

It was around early morning when everything became quiet. My sleep was on and off, and I was already experiencing a few contractions. The midwife doubled her efforts in attending to me and my husband. She didn't expect us to stay there despite what happened.

Maybe if it was someone else, they would have moved to another clinic or hospital because of fear. But then, my husband wasn't the type to allow himself to be intimidated. No matter what happened, he said that God was the one in charge of all of us.

For the entire day, the midwife regularly went inside the room in order to check my condition and record my baby's heartbeat. As for myself, I paid close attention to my child. She wasn't moving that much, but I knew she was okay.

At around seven in the evening, the power cut off twice. It was a WTF moment for all of us back then. It was just like the other night.

Then the cat appeared again, making a loud noise. My husband got so irritated that he wanted to go outside and throw something at the cat.

All of us in the clinic were getting nervous, and the midwife was coming in at regular intervals to check on my condition. She was obviously fearful, tired, and short on sleep. I knew she didn't want a repeat of what happened last night. She even asked for help from another midwife and told her all about what happened the last time.

I started labor at around nine in the evening. Thank God that the power had already returned. My husband was also with me in the delivery room. The midwife allowed him inside as a bonus, so that he could also experience and witness my childbirth. He went through everything, and he didn't faint or anything like that.

Did you know that when my child came out, she wasn't crying? She was already smacked a few times on her butt, but she still didn't cry.

Midwife A started to cuss out of nervousness. She said, "You've already taken the other one, damn it, don't you dare take this one!"

Midwife B took out a large syringe. As far as I know, that was a last resort, and is used to wake up a baby that didn't cry right after childbirth. I don't know the medical term for this procedure.

They were all so scared and worried when suddenly, someone screamed. It was a small and short cry coming from my baby.

She was okay. She was absolutely okay.

But I promise you guys, that was the only sound we heard from my baby. She still didn't cry even after we went home.

I'm sorry because I needed to cut this short. The last part is a bit on the long side, and it's about what happened when we finally got home. Hopefully, I can come back and write the rest of the story...

=====

And I'm back.

There were two rooms in the house that we, as a married couple, rented out. One of them became our storage room. There were no mesh screens or even grills on all the jalousie windows. And we didn't bother fixing it up since we would move again shortly after.

But the thing that made me the most irritated when we got home was the power outages. They've been occurring a lot more by this time. We didn't have emergency lights back then, but we had a lot of candles and flashlights.

The baby and I slept together on our full-sized mattress, and my husband slept by himself on the other mattress. I didn't let him sleep together with us since he moved a lot when he slept, and he might hit the baby.

One night, the power went out again! My husband and I dived towards our baby and even bumped heads too. I told my husband, "Do you hear those footsteps on the roof? It sounds like a person's walking on it."

The odd thing was that our dog didn't even bark at it, and it was the type to go wild at intruders, even cockroaches!

My husband got his Japanese-style sword and went out of the house. He went around it and listened for whatever it was. He threw something onto our roof, and something fell onto our neighbor's roof.

I was worried, as my baby was still so young. I carried her and didn't put her back on the mattress.

All the flashlights were switched on and pointed at different directions. My eyes, however, were trained on the window. I wasn't afraid since right outside, near the window, there slept our dog. If someone started standing over there, the dog wouldn't just stare at them since it was protective of me.

It's just that, on that night, he didn't bark at all.

When my husband went back inside, we prayed. I uttered a silent prayer, while he said one out loud in Arabic. My husband was Muslim.

Suddenly something cried out in some kind of moan. The hairs on my body all stood on end and goosebumps erupted all over me as well.

My husband went out again. I cracked the window open.

There was a large black cat sitting in our yard, it had probably gotten inside because our fence was made of bamboo. Anyway, it was sitting smack dab in the middle of it. The power was out, and it was dark, but I could see it because the moon was bright outside.

My husband tried to throw things at the cat, but it didn't go away. It mewled strangely, sounding like a crying woman.

Meanwhile, I continued praying. It was just a silent prayer, but the beating in my chest was intense.

My husband then went back inside the house and got out his sword again. He also got himself some salt and a pitcher of cold water. I didn't know which of the three he used to drive away the cat, but after a long while, the cat stopped making noise.

However, our dog was acting strangely. He paced to and from the window, not barking at all, but you know he was worried about something. He kept whining, as if he was stressed out.

My husband and I didn't dare sleep until dawn came.

After that, we pulled many more all-nighters. We still heard those mysterious and creepy footsteps, and it wasn't just the cat that visited us every night.

However, we didn't give in to our fear.

My husband bought one of those rechargeable fans that had LED lights on the side. When the power went out and we used it, it became really bright inside the room. I felt much better as long as there was light, and we didn't care how many more things visited us as long as the two of us guarded the baby and prayed.

I knew that as long as we did that, we wouldn't be harmed, especially my baby.

My child is four years old as of this writing. I gave birth to her on October 7, 2013.

Imagine that, I'm now telling you the story of our experience so many years ago. Happy anniversary to this story and happy birthday to my child!

Chapter 2 The Baby Doll

Hey guys!!!

A lot of you might not know me anymore, because most of the active members here now are newbies. But when Paramdam was still starting out, I was one of the more prolific writers here, and that's how I got to witness how this group grew from a seedling into a mighty oak tree.

Anyway, since I'm feeling up to it right now, Halloween is right around the corner, and Anabelle seems to be the topic of choice of the people here, I will tell you a supernatural story that has something to do with a doll.

=====

Ever since Uncle (those who have been here in the group for a while, you know who he is) got back his job and started receiving a salary again; he got into the habit of buying toys. He bought many of them, ranging from action figures, to robots, to stuffed toys, to battle tops, to battling cars and other toys that young boys were into back then. He even bought kiddie meals from fast-food restaurants just to get the toys. And he didn't regret spending a huge amount of money just to purchase the toys that he wanted.

Honestly, I think if you added up the amounts of all the toys that he bought, you would be able to buy a house for the poor. Anyway, as long as Uncle wanted something, he would get it.

"I like that baby doll over there," Uncle said to his girlfriend one time.

His girlfriend's eyes widened in surprise at what she had heard. She knew Uncle knew how weird it was for a girl to find out that her boyfriend wanted a doll for any reason. But would she be able to stop him from getting it when she could feel that he would have a fit if he didn't get the toy that he wanted? And that's why the girlfriend had no choice but to go along with what Uncle wanted to do.

Actually, the doll was pretty damn cute. It didn't look ominous or anything like that. It really looked like a baby. And it was pretty amusing because if you pressed on its stomach, it would giggle as if it was being tickled. If you smacked its bottom, it would make crying sounds as if it was being hurt.

This baby doll didn't immediately show signs it had something possessing it. It stayed in the house for a few months before it did anything unusual. Of course, so that it wouldn't be thrown away or burned at once.

It allowed itself to be abused by Uncle's nephews and nieces, including my siblings. They threw it all over the place, smacked it several times, threw it down the stairs, ran it over with Uncle's toy trucks, and even gave it a tattoo on the back of its neck.

And there it began. I think this baby doll had finally had it with everyone and decided to show them what it could do to them.

One night, everyone in our house was sound asleep. I woke up suddenly because of my aching stomach. Of course, I immediately went out of the room to attend to my tummy's concerns. I have been trying to hold it in since earlier because I was too lazy to get up and go to the bathroom. But it had gotten to the point where I wouldn't be happy with what would happen the next time it rumbles in a bad way, so I hurriedly went on my way towards the "confession room" in order to "get rid of my sins."

When my stomach and my butt were finally relieved, I decided to pass by Uncle's room on the way back to mine. I thought he might forget to close the window again and leave us open to burglars. He wasn't in his room at the time, too, since he was on duty that night.

I was still approaching Uncle's room when I heard a faint sound of laughter. The hairs on the back of my neck started going up. Who would be the one laughing inside if there was no one in the room in the first place?

While I got closer and closer to the room, the laughing became louder and louder. I felt intense dread. But it was impossible for that chilling laughter that I'm hearing to just come from my imagination. What I heard was clearer than my 20/20 vision. And I couldn't mistake it for anything else. I've heard it many times before.

It was the laughter of Uncle's doll.

But a thought entered my mind that intensified my fear even more. What if there was a person inside? What if Uncle's room had a trespasser who had gained entry simpy because he left the window open?

Damn it! I don't want to chase after a thief!

I gathered all the courage that I could muster so that I could open the door to Uncle's room.

When I opened the door, I saw that everything inside was quiet. It was dark, which showed me that the windows were closed.

All of my fear went away. Maybe a rat had jumped on Uncle's doll and that's why it was giggling.

When I was about to close the door, something on the floor caught my eye. There was someone sitting on the floor. I stared at it for a few seconds until I finally noticed that their head was slowly turning towards me. I couldn't move from where I was standing since I knew who was sitting there.

It was Uncle's doll.

The doll smiled at me crazily, and its round eyes moved as well.

I screamed out of fright and my feet moved by themselves and I started to run for my life until I reached my room. I didn't even look at where I was going. As soon as I went inside my room, I quickly closed the door and locked it tight. I don't even remember what happened and next thing you know I woke up to a bright sunny morning with the memory still lodged in my head.

A few days passed. I didn't tell anyone about what happened, because, to be honest, I wasn't sure if everything was a dream or if I really saw something strange that night. I forced myself to forget all about that incident.

A few weeks later, me and my cousins decided to hold a movie marathon in Uncle's room.

Despite the large number of paranormal encounters that we had, horror movies still had a special place in our hearts. I was the one who played the movie that we decided to watch. The title was Hostel, if I remember it correctly.

We were about to reach the climax of the said film, and my female cousins were already shouting from fight and anticipation, when suddenly I heard laughter coming from behind us. I covered both my ears at first and then tried to plug them with my fingers. But when I stopped moving, I could still hear the giggling that seemed to be coming from a baby.

My cousins continued screaming and screeching as if I was the only one who was hearing the sounds of a gurgling happy baby.

"Guys!"

When I shouted that, everyone became quiet and looked at me at the same time. The infant's laughter became louder and at this point, I knew I wasn't the only one who could hear the child's giggling now. I could clearly see how all the faces of the people in front of me changed swiftly to genuine fear.

To make sure that my guess was right, I was forced to look behind me. My eyes immediately found Uncle's doll. It was lying down on its stomach on top of the stand.

It was looking at us with its large dead eyes.

We couldn't do anything other than run as if our lives depended on it. That was the second time we ran because something strange had happened. We told our aunts and Uncle about what just happened even while we were still panting for breath.

He quickly got the doll and checked it out. We were greatly surprised when we found out that it didn't have any batteries! We suddenly remembered that Uncle took them out to use for his TV's remote control so we can watch the movie comfortably.

All our eyes widened from the revelation. We all started shaking. We asked Uncle to throw away the doll but, as you might expect, he didn't do it. He only hid it inside a closet that he filled with old clothes so that we wouldn't see it.

Baby Doll became quiet for quite a while ever since it was kept by Uncle inside a closet that was older than he was. None of us even dared to open it. Even my aunts were scared of opening the closet. They just tried not to make it obvious, but I could still tell from how they acted how terrified they were of both the large cabinet and its scary content.

Anyway, one day, Baby Doll decided to play its tricks on Uncle next. It turns out that even Uncle didn't like opening that closet either. It wasn't because he was scared or anything, but it was because he didn't have anything to get from it or put in there.

But one time, he decided to clean out the closet. By this time, Uncle had forgotten that he had put the Baby Doll inside of it.

When Uncle opened the door of the closet, he fell on the floor and a scream filled the entirety of his room.

Uncle then opened his eyes. He now lay down on the floor, his arms in a defensive position that aimed to guard his face. Also on the floor was the feather duster, spray bottle, and the rag that he was holding just earlier. He looked to the left and there he saw the doll that was now facing him.

He could see the anger in its only open eye. Its mouth also opened and closed as it laughed out loud.

Out of fright, he kicked the doll which sent it flying to the other end of the room. Thankfully, it didn't move once it landed on the floor.

Uncle then decided to throw away the doll for good. He wrapped it two times with two black garbage bags and threw it away into a nearby creek. He followed with his eyes as it floated and was finally carried by the water into the distance. Our Uncle did not leave until he was sure that the doll was now far enough away, making sure that it won't get caught in the rocks as it drifted farther on.

He made sure that it was gone because he thought Baby Doll might come back and haunt them like Chucky if ever it did return.

When he couldn't see it anymore, he breathed a sigh of relief and made his way back home.

Possessed doll? Yup!

Evil spirits can definitely possess certain objects, such as dolls, mannequins, and even religious idols. So check your toys and idols at home, or you might find something similar to Baby Doll living in your house.

Chapter 3 The Apartment

I'm not a psychic or what you would call a Paranormal Expert (although I would want to be like them someday... hahaha). And I don't know when it started happening, but even now, whenever I see, feel, or hear any kind of ghost or lost soul, I still get scared.

I just want to share this story... A true to life story.

January 2011:

Me and my classmates were ragged, stressed, tired, and busy, since the day of our defense for our Product Presentation was near. For that, it was required for us to rent out an apartment so that all of our plans will stay confidential.

We went through several streets, looking for one that suited us. Of course, it needed to be near our school, which is one of the top technical colleges/universities in the country, so that if there was an emergency meeting at the campus, we could get there quickly.

The apartment that we rented out was in an area near the train tracks in the city and it was lovely. It was quaint, and had only two floors. The interior looked bright, and the rooftop was even rented out to us as a bonus, so we could practice on it.

But despite its wonderful appearance, you wouldn't think that it was shrouded in mystery.

It all started one night, in the middle of our brainstorming session. There were 36 of us there, and we all had our own assignments. Some of us made the print ads, and some of us worked on the Marketing Plan. I, along with the rest of my group, made sure that the copy of the ads that we were producing was in order.

I needed to pee, so I went to the bathroom to relieve myself. The bathroom was almost next to the stairs.

Actually, it was my first time to go to the bathroom in that apartment.

As soon as I got in the bathroom, I suddenly felt heavy. I couldn't explain how, but I knew I felt unusual. But I needed to piss so badly I ignored it.

However, the longer I stayed in the bathroom, the more I felt I was somewhere too tight. I felt that the place was overcrowded, but the bathroom was spacious enough for just one person. I really felt like I was with a lot of other people inside.

Then the hairs on my body stood on end, so I rushed towards the door. I knew I didn't lock the doorknob, but now it was locked!!

I was now nervous. I wanted to cry because of the fear I was feeling.

Then miraculously, the doorknob seemed to loosen and it turned. I immediately ran out of the door but stopped at the entrance.

Before I walked away, I took a good look at the interior of the bathroom. I knew then that I wasn't the only one there. I knew that there wasn't just one other "person" with me...

There were many of them and I could see them.

I then ran away from the bathroom, so scared out of my wits. Upon getting back to my classmates, I tried to hide my fear. I didn't want to scare them despite how I was shaking inside.

"Ate Carrie, did you take a bath?" asked one of my classmates.

"No. Why?" I answered. I didn't want to show it, but I could feel my hands trembling.

"Why? You're soaking wet. Haven't you noticed?" said my classmate.

When I checked my clothes, I found that I really was wet. My sweat was practically flowing from my forehead, my back, and my arms.

"Oh, that's because it was hot inside the bathroom," I answered. And since I was sitting near the stairs, I could clearly see the bathroom from where I was. I then suddenly saw something like a shadow from the bathroom.

I was surprised, and my companions were surprised with me too. I figured I couldn't hide it from them anymore and told them about what really happened inside the bathroom.

I was shocked to find out that I wasn't the only one who has experienced such a thing. Apparently three of my companions also had that unusual feeling in the bathroom.

It was soon past 9 PM. Same night.

While Katie and I were writing a copy for our print ad, I automatically looked towards the window. I got goosebumps from what I saw.

There was someone looking in.

I was sure of it. I couldn't explain how the person looked since that path was dark and I was sure that it wasn't a human.

I asked Katie, "Katie, did you see that??"

She only nodded, but I could see that she was close to tears. Apparently, she had also seen it and was frightened by the sight. I don't even know why we were being disturbed by it.

And since I was so scared, I decided that I won't ever sleep in that apartment!

I was going out the door along with Joan, since I wanted to go home, when suddenly a small... I don't know if it was a kid, but something rushed inside the house. It was a blur so we weren't sure what it was but whatever it was, it went straight towards the bathroom.

I jumped due to extreme surprise. And this time, the beating in my chest was really loud and almost painful.

I pulled Josie towards me and then we speed walked towards the jeepney stop.

"Ate, why are you crying?" asked Josie.

"There's someone following us, Jo," I said, my voice messed up by my crying. I tried to calm myself but I was weeping out of fear, damn it!!!

There really was someone following us.

Until we got near the jeep, I could still see the old man following us.

He looked like some person you would see in an old photograph, kind of like an apparition, just like smoke, but I could see how he was wearing an old-style barong. I couldn't understand why he did.

Before we boarded, I started screaming at the specter.

"W-Why are you following us? Why are you following me? I don't want to listen to you. Please, sir, not me. Please don't show yourself to me."

Meanwhile, Josie tried to calm me down.

I then told her that we should just go back to the apartment. When we got there, Josie told the others about what happened. I could still see the old man while she was explaining.

After she finished the story, that's when he vanished.

After a month in that apartment, the old man stopped showing himself. But regarding the bathroom, I still couldn't explain what was in there exactly.

I could feel that their presence there was strong. That's why I made sure to warn my classmates and tell them not to "play" Spirit of the Glass or any ritual that calls on spirits.

This really happened to me.

Are you asking if my third eye is open? The shaman in our province has told me, YES!
