The One Night Wife

Author: : Phaelyn
Genre: Romance
Everyone can fall in love because love does not look at age and position. Mark Grigory, a 32-year-old man, won his family's trust to lead a company famous for its precious stone mines. The meeting between Mark and Rosemary occurred when Mark came to Indonesia as a sponsor and funding provider for one of the film production houses where Rosemary was an extra in the film. A one-night date is different from what Rosemary expected. Unbeknownst to Rosemary, Mark had fallen in love with Rosemary's biological mother, who had abandoned him when he was a child.

Chapter 1 1. My World

"Yeah... action!"

The director's voice echoed in Rosemary's ears, who had been waiting for her turn to take on the role of one of the extras in the romance genre film.

As a movie star just starting his career in the entertainment world, Rosemary was fortunate he immediately got a role, even as an extra.

Rosemary does not come from a family of movie stars already viral. She is just a teenage girl who is lucky to have a beautiful and beautiful face.

A sense of pride surrounds Rose when she gets a call that she will be contracted for her role. That is not much.

Rosemary realized the moment she decided to audition for a role in one of the cinema production houses she had to be able to accept getting any position that was given to her.

As a beginner, it is too much when he is picky-getting a call for a small role alone made Rosemary ecstatic. After all, he was not rich and was from a family with artistic blood. She's a teenage girl who dreams of being known to the broader community.

His role as the oppressed son of a rich man must be played perfectly. It should be okay if he wants to avoid repeating the scene.

Today the scene that Rose has to play is the scene when she has to go into the pool because her angry stepbrother accuses her of having snatched her lover.

"You cheap fuck. You know that Erick is my boyfriend, but why did you go in his room, huh?!" Alya shouted.

"I swear I didn't go in there, man. I just got home from school" "Dona wailed in a choked voice.

"You think I didn't see it? You think I'm blind?" Alya shouted, accompanied by a movement to push Dona's body onto the edge of the pool, which resulted in Dona's body splashing.

"Cutt!"

The director's voice sounded again, making everyone relieved to hear it. At the pool's edge, some people helped Rosemary, who played the role of Dona, go upstairs. His wet body was immediately covered with a thick and wide towel given by one of the crew.

"Thank you," Rosemary replied.

From the corner of her eyes, Rosemary saw Riska, who played Alya, coming over. Her pretty face tried to show a caring attitude looking at Rosemary's wet state.

"I'm sorry I had to do it. You're not mad at me, Are you?" he said, holding his hand.

"Why am I angry? We work according to the role. Unless you do it on purpose," Rosemary replied, welcoming Riska's helping hand.

" Thank you," said Riska and immediately went back to leave Rosemary, who had to change clothes directly.

After looking in the mirror and being convinced that her appearance had improved, Rosemary immediately sought out the director, Piere, to ask when she would start filming again.

From a distance, she saw Pieters talking to a percentage man Rosemary already knew because it was the man who had given her the contract. Who else, if not Film Producer Jack Co.

"They're doing it, yes, if I see them disturbing, no, yes," said Rosemary's thought.

Not wanting to disturb two essential people in the film being produced, Rosemary chose to turn towards the location and meet the central star, Alvarez, who plays Erick.

"I thought I was home. Is there still filming?" Alvarez asked kindly.

"There is no Brother. I'm waiting for Pieters," Rosemary said no less kindly.

"What are you waiting for, Pieters?" the voice was uttered by Riska, who had just come with a glass of fresh drink.

"I just want to ask tomorrow if I should come," Rosemary replied.

"Ooh, but in the script, you have, right? If there is, it means you must come," Riska replied, taking the empty seat next to Alvarez.

As they were talking, Pieters, the man Rosemary was waiting for, approached the place where they had gathered.

He looked at Rosemary with a different look.

"This girl can interest him. She is the kind of woman a man wants to be in his bed," Pieters thought without letting go of the appraising gaze fixed on Rosemary.

"Today, the shooting is over, but the boss asked you all to come to his house tonight," Pieters replied after his final assessment of Rosemary.

"To Mr. Jack Co's House? For what?" risk is complaining.

"Tonight, the sponsor who funded the film has contacted the boss. He asked to be introduced to all supporters of this film. Any questions?"

Pieters' heavy voice while answering Riska's question made the others silent until Rosemary raised her hand.

"Do I have to come as an extra as well?" Rosemary asked by referring to her role as an insignificant person.

"Have you signed a contract as a player? If so, you should come too."

"What if I can't?" Alvarez's voice sounded defiant.

"I'm sure you're not a Yesterday afternoon kid like Rosemary who still needs answers," Pieters said, prompting some supporters to complain.

"Why, suddenly? Frankly, I have an appointment," Riska said, blaming Pieters.

"You think you have an appointment? He is a foreign businessman named Mark Grigory who just delivered the request when it landed in New York. If someone asks Is it important to obey strangers? I answer critically. He was the only person willing to give money for the production of this film. Got it?!"

"Got it. Then what time is it?" ask risk again.

"7 pm. I hope you arrive on time!"

After completing his task of delivering a message from the film's producers, Pieters left those who also slowly dispersed.

Just like the others, Rosemary also left the set, but she was not like those who went by driving a luxury car. Rosemary was quite a walk to the impromptu motorcycle taxi base, whose existence helped them immensely, especially Rosemary.

"Where is Ros? Aren't you going home?" a greeting from a car made Rosemary turn away.

He saw in the car a luxury car with the window glass open so that it could be seen the face of Jack Co, who was in it with a beautiful woman.

"I want to buy a salad there, Sir," Rosemary pointed to the road at the end of the intersection.

"Far away?"

"I walk so I can pass the House of the pack," Rosemary replied, embarrassed.

"How about we have lunch at a famous restaurant? Incidentally, account and Desy want to eat," Jack invited with eyes seduced.

"Thank you, Sir. I'm waiting for my parents," Rosemary answered, looking down.

"Yes, if you refuse. If you don't mind, later tonight, you rate the salad you ate today!" Jack commands sharply before he raises the window as his car drives on.

After the car carrying Jack Co was no longer visible, Rosemary quickly returned to the take taxi base.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm nobody, so it's strange that I was there," Rosemary said dreamily.

Chapter 2 2 Roleplay

Rosemary had just finished taking a shower and had to hurry to arrive on time at the House of Jack Co, the film's producer, where she played the role.

Rosemary realizes she should have gone to the salon for a better look. Still, she doesn't have time to do it, so she can only rely on her skills after attending a makeup course before she is finally attracted to an offer to play a movie given by one of her high school friends.

"Not too disappointing," he said proudly, looking at his work through the mirror before him.

Rosemary looked at the wall clock. The time was getting closer, and she didn't have much time to admire her appearance.

Rosemary became a different girl by wearing an overall dress and shoes that her mother sent her from abroad. She is no longer a geeky, fashion-ignorant teenage girl but rather a reasonably adult girl. His performance this time managed to deceive his age just past 18.

Rosemary has just come out of her room and is trying to find her father when she meets Melisa, her stepsister, who is also willing to leave.

Melisa looked enviously at Rosemary's appearance, and she asked full of Malice at her stepsister, "Where Are you going to tidy up?" he asked sarcastically.

"I'm going to Mr. Jack Co's house. He's a film producer where I work," Rosemary replied quietly.

"What are you doing?" Melisa started with an accusatory look making Rosemary lift her face.

"Mr. Jack invited all of the USA film fans to his house. It just so happened that the main funding sponsor was coming, and he wanted to get to know all the players," Rosemary said, trying to explain.

"Who are you going with?" Melisa asked again while, from the outside, her father walked in.

"Waah, where are your children going? Already neat and beautiful," Rosemary's father, Soni, proudly asked.

"If Rose had an event at the House of Mr. Jack Co. Dad, you have time to take Rose no, because if you take public transportation, afraid not enough time," Rosemary said, trying to persuade his father.

"What time is the show?" Soni glanced at the watch that was coiled around her wrist.

"About 1 hour more," Rosemary replied softly.

"Yes, father free, but I shower first," he turned to enter the room.

"Dad, I want you too. You can, too, right? I gave up being escorted last is also okay," said Melisa joining the conversation.

"If the goal is in the direction does not matter. But if your goals are opposite, I'm sorry I can't do it," Soni replied calmly.

Then alternately, Rosemary and Melisa mention their destination address, making Soni nod, "I'll take it, but I want to shower first. No problem, right?" Soni replied, glancing at Rosemary's always calm face.

"But not for long. I don't want to be late arriving at the invitation place," Melisa replied, deliberately looking at the wall clock.

Unlike Melisa, who is the child his wife is now carrying, Rosemary, who is his biological daughter, is more silent. Often Soni suspects that Rosemary's nature is like her mother's. Women prefer to remain silent without giving reasonable reasons when she demands a divorce from them.

That night the weather was apparent while the traffic was very supportive until the car driven by Soni arrived 5 minutes before the time Pieters had mentioned.

Walking with a step faster than it should make Rosemary's breath hunt, and she must return to normal again before entering a large house with no less extensive garden.

"Waiting for something?" the sound of a man greeting her made Rosemary flinch and almost jump.

"Oh my God ... Alvarez, you took me by surprise," Rosemary screamed involuntarily.

"Sorry. What are you doing? Why don't you go inside? You didn't mean to wait for me to come, Did you?" Alvarez asked with very high confidence.

"I'm not waiting for anyone. I'm just taking a break," asked Rose, who began to walk in.

"Are you running here?" teased Alfaroz and laughed.

"Not from home. I ran from the gate so far to this house," Rosemary replied, making Alfarez stop his steps.

"Are you serious? Don't you have a vehicle?" Alvarez asked as if everyone should have their vehicle.

"I don't have enough money for that luxury," Rosemary laughed.

Seeing Rosemary's laughter made Alfarez laugh. Since meeting Rosemary at the beginning of the Thanksgiving event, Alfa has been interested in Rose. According to her, all her attitudes are not made up, what are.

"Are you taking a ride or a taxi?" Alfa probe traces Rosemary's steps.

"Delivered, but my father had to leave immediately because my brother is still to be delivered as well," Rosemary replied.

"Can I take you home?" Alfa asked, interested.

"Thank you. Later there will be my father who will pick up." "Rosemary replied before their arrival and was greeted with a crowded atmosphere by the guests who had been present.

"They turned out to be punctual all, unlike us," Alvarez whispered in Rosemary's ear, huffed her a little.

The main star does not need to be next to the extras, precisely what Alfa does. As soon as they met the other guests, he immediately met people who could support his career.

"Why can't I be like them? Can't I socialize like a movie star?" inner Rosemary.

Rosemary looked around, and she saw almost all the players were present. Only one was still waiting for his arrival: this evening, the most critical person who makes them all must be at Jack Co's House.

Following the others, Rosemary took a drink of orange juice that was so fresh that it flowed down her throat after she put in a snack while the others spread out in each unique place that looked more like a stand that provided a variety of culinary delights.

"I think you should immediately finish your activities around to try every food because we will be in action soon," came a voice so close to Rosemary's ears that again came from Alvarez.

"I wonder why you don't talk normally, and it always surprises me. It's good that I didn't pour this drink on your shirt," Rosemary scolds in annoyance.

Between luck and misfortune, Rosemary befriends a movie star as famous as Alva. He has starred in many films and achieved success until he feels lucky to meet and make friends with Alva, whose attitude is always what it is. Especially against him, who always sees and finds Alva is not arrogant.

However. because of this attitude, Rosemary often gets into trouble with her fans and gets accused of approaching Alfa to seek fame. Has she been a rising star since her relationship with Alva became public consumption?

Nothing has changed in Rosemary's life. He is a new actor in the film world, and his experience is thinner than his epidermis, so he feels embarrassed if he says he is a movie star.

Chapter 3 3 A Sign

3 A Sign

The smile on Rosemary's lips did not disappear as she listened to all the sentences coming out of Alvaa's mouth. As a film performer whose name is beyond doubt, his attitude is more often like the wind. He always blows according to his will. Nothing can hold him back.

"Why? Are you angry that I left you?" Alva surveyed and saw Rosemary smile.

"Not Alva. You are the leading player, and I am sure you should say hello to the important people here, "Rosemary laughed.

"Thank God. But why don't you say hello to them?" Alva asked, interested.

"I don't know. I feel that I entered wrong." Rosemary replied, taking a snack that looked so small but tasted delicious.

"What? All the good food is always smaller in size." He said thoughtfully as he took it back and chewed it deliciously.

"Is that good?" asked Alva, interested in seeing how to eat Rosemary.

"You try it!" Rosemary orders as she feeds the same snack into Alva's mouth.

"You are like a bride. You see, the boss has come," said Riska, who was suddenly behind Rosemary.

Rosemary said in her heart, "Why do the two main stars she knows always talk shockingly? Can't they show themselves first before talking?"

"Oh my god ... if indeed he will be my companion, I will leave all the work I do and will only serve him alone," Riska's adoring voice made Rosemary and Alva follow Riska's direction.

Should Rosemary do the same as Riska and most other female players? He looked at the strange man standing beside Jack Co.

The man looks different in his appearance. Rosemary did not know why the presence of the artificial her wary. He had never seen her but had already managed to shake his composure.

"She's mine, and never tease her," Riska whispered in Rosemary's ear.

"No need to worry. I'm not in the mood at all," Rosemary replied, trying to become invisible.

"What do you want to do? I'm sure he cares about you," the Alpha's reply made Rosemary laugh at her stupidity.

Rosemary could only smile, embarrassed by his stupid actions because of Riska's words. Why is he not self-conscious?

Rosemary is a woman who has never had a serious relationship with a man, but why does she feel like someone has managed to touch her body tonight? In Rosemary's smallest heart, it was as if the feeling of a hand touching her made her insecure.

Such an incredible attraction occurred to both of them as the man raised his head, turned his attention to the people waiting for him, and stopped his eyes on Rosemary for a long time.

"Why is he looking at me like that? Did I do something wrong?" Rosemary said silently until he moved to the back of the alpha sign, he realized.

"Are you sure you don't know him?" Alva whispered.

"No, I just saw her," Rosemary replied in the same whisper.

"But why does he seem to want to eat you?"

"Maybe the influence of these foods has made me more sweet and alluring," Rosemary replied, making Alva chuckle.

"Is there anything funny?" Pieters admonished Alva and Rosemary, who seemed so busy talking.

They again paid more attention to the two men with different attitudes. Jack, as the host, looks tense as if waiting for a decision on whether his life will survive until tomorrow morning. In contrast, the man, who has a taller body and is also stocky than all the men in Jack's backyard, looks relaxed.

It feels like tonight is his.

All kinds of sentences contain flattery, and praise Jack gives about the films they work on and the players who always get awards. Jack suddenly became a very different person.

"Do you think guests want to donate money?" Alva asked back in a whisper.

"I do not know. But what Mr. Jack said is also true. You and Riska are two stars who often get awards. You couldn't possibly say that wasn't true, right?" Rosemary replied.

A name has already been mentioned, a name that sounds different to their ears, followed by a restrained exclamation from some, especially in women, when the work for which the man finances is mentioned. Mark Gregori is the only son of the owner of a precious stone mine on the Eastern European continent.

"You heard what makes her different, the wealth she possesses," Alva's voice sounded different once she discovered that the foreign man who was more than she did have an advantage she couldn't possibly have.

"And I don't care at all. Why? Because I don't have a relationship with him," Rosemary replied quietly from behind Alva's shoulder.

"Seriously, don't you care? Can't you see that she seems interested in you?" Alva teased and chuckled.

"And then? Do I have to be unconscious because I know he's interested, or must I be hysterical?" Rosemary replied that she would instead look the other way than forward.

"Of course, I'd rather you were unconscious than have to scream hysterically," replied The Voice with language that made Rosemary look towards the front over Alva's shoulder.

"You ... how could you be here? Instead of just now, you were still in front?" Rosemary asked nervously.

"How far do you think you are from where I was standing?" again came the question from the mouth of the man who Marl introduced.

"I do not know, but I'm sorry if my voice has disturbed you," Rosemary replied quietly.

"I'm not sure I've been distracted by all your chatter. I'm more disturbed by your attitude of hiding behind a man's back," Mark said, glancing at Alva as if asking if Rosemary was his girl.

Rosemary's heart cursed the speech that came out of Mark's mouth. Why should he be distracted saw he prefers to take cover behind Alva? And why doesn't he take his eyes off her when he's distracted? It is unlikely that a woman would be silent if a beautiful man like Mark looked at her body so that her body trembled until both legs felt weak.

"I'm sorry, but why am I the one standing behind the Alfa bothering you while many people are staring in awe?" Rosemary's question made Jack, standing next to Marl, surprised.

"Because you are different. You're the only woman on this page who's avoiding me. Is this your way of attracting attention?" the accusatory question Mark gave Rosemary?

"Huh? You said earlier that I've been bothering you, and now you're saying I'm trying to get your attention differently. Can I ask you a question?"

"Please?"

"Are you giving a lot of money for this film?" Rosemary asked Jack, and Pieter glared fiercely, standing next to Alva.

Chapter 4 the evil plan

Like a suspect who can't come up with a plausible alibi, that's the way Rosemary is now. He could not avoid Pieter and Jack's gaze, which seemed to want to throw him far away out of the same world as them.

"Fund?" the creak on Mark's forehead was so deep that it formed an obvious line.

"I mean, from the explanation given by Mr. Jack, you are the main sponsor of this film, so I'm sure that you will bear all the funding for the production of this film," Rosemary said, trying to explain.

"On base. Why did I say that to you? What if Mr. Jack fires me? I'm not the main character who can be kicked out right away. It could be that I was told to pay back the money I had received" "Rosemary grumbled in his heart.

Mark's sharp eyes noticed Rosemary before speaking, "Maybe. But I also want the cooperation of all supporters of this film."

Rosemary still needed to learn what Mark wanted and why the man left immediately after he spoke.

With a face that implied her confusion, Rosemary looked at Jack, who nodded as if telling Rosemary to rush after Mark.

'For what?' It was a question that had not yet had time to leave Rosemary's lips as she watched Lev stop stepping as if waiting for someone to accompany him.

"Quickly, you accompany Mr. Gregory. Make him happy and feel at home in this city. You will get a better role in this film if you can please him, "Jack ordered with half interest.

Rosemary's arm.

I was confused not only experienced by Rosemary but also by Alva, who had been standing next to her.

Rosemary can see the glint of conjecture playing out in Alpha's eyes, giving her body goosebumps.

"Is it true that Alva sent a warning for me, but for what?"

Rosemary did not get an answer because the question was only her own. Walking up to Lev was like he was putting on a show for most of the guests, who had since noticed the most eye-catching man at the party. Her body trembled, but Rosemary believed nothing would happen while they were at the party.

"I'm sorry if I offended you. I have no idea how some people play because I'm not one of them," Rosemary said as she stood beside Lev.

The man's body was tall and stocky, like a dwarf facing off against a prince.

Prince? The smile on Rosemary's lips expanded as the word flashed through her mind.

"Will I be his servant if I do not misinterpret the orders given by Mr. Jack?"

The question in Rosemary's heart arose again, and without realizing it, she turned to where Alva was standing. Looking at Alva, who remained watching him as if he was on guard against the possibilities that would occur.

However, Rosemary is not a particular person for Alva. He suspects Alva's attention is just a warning while what's about to happen is Rosemary's responsibility, whether she can handle it.

"I don't need a labile woman like you. When I smile and when I'm scared. Am I a terrifying person to you?"

Rosemary did not answer Mark's question immediately because his mind was still ambiguous between doing the task Jack ordered or following his heart to leave immediately.

"I'm sorry. Frankly, I'm afraid of you. I was afraid that my words would make another mistake that many would regret," Rosemary said.

"Why? Are you afraid Jack will kick you out of film production and pay damages?" asked Mark sharply.

Rosemary involuntarily nodded until Mark's laughter sounded quiet. Was the young woman standing beside him so innocent that he didn't realize what Jack had promised him?

Previously Lev did not expect to accept Jack's offer, but once he saw Rosemary, who chose to take refuge from him by standing behind Alva, it aroused his curiosity. He wants to know what it's like to kiss a woman who looks innocent and shy.

Is the girl so innocent, or is she just pretending? Mark should be able to confirm it, but not now because tonight would be awesome if he were determined to take the girl away.

"Go and tell Mark that I accept his offer," Mark continued

Mark leaves Jack's party, and Rosemary becomes the only suspect to be punished.

After Mark is no longer seen, Rosemary intends to turn around to convey a message from the man to Jack, but Jack turns out to be standing behind him with a face that makes Rosemary take a few steps back without him noticing.

"I didn't know your mouth was so poisonous. First, you offend Mr. Gregory by bringing up the funding issue, and now you have made it disappear. Tell me, Are you a disaster for my film production?"

Rosemary, who was previously surprised because Jack was standing behind her without her realizing it, was getting nervous with the words coming out of her mouth. He couldn't believe Jack could say such a severe sentence.

"Why should it be a disaster? I don't understand why the word came from my father's mouth. I'm not the one who can make you lose. Even the salary I receive is not comparable with the role I have played since the beginning of this film," Rosemary bravely said.

He was too angry to realize what he meant and who he was.

Who would care about extras or cameo roles? No one will notice whether she is in the movie, but Rosemary is not an ordinary brainless showgirl.

She is a woman who is used to facing the attitude of her brother and stepmother, who always pressure her, so she is used to acting boldly. Dare to defend his pride.

"You're right that you're nobody, and it certainly doesn't matter if there's a bad-luck cameo on social media. Don't worry. Your name will be instantly famous, and you will get enough fans to defend you."

Every sentence from Jack's mouth indicates that Rosemary's assessment of the man is not wrong. He had previously rejected her offer to go in his car, and now, does Jack intend to avenge his actions?

"Mr. Mark said he accepted your offer," Rosemary said.

Rosemary's umpteenth mistake was made by saying a message from Mark to Jack.

Jack suddenly turned 360 degrees after Rosemary delivered the message until Rosemary's body shuddered in horror again.

"Good. I'm so excited and will take back what I said about you being a disaster woman. Please enjoy this party. Remember that tomorrow you must work hard to keep this film going and achieve glory," said Jack laughing.

"Why did I feel myself to be sacrificed for this film? Is it so difficult to be a role player who does not have support?"

The question in Rosemary's mind remained, but she kept it quiet and waited until her father came to pick her up.
