A girl hurled up in a corner shivering at the cold air that came in through the window, it was winter and yet she wore a sleeveless top that can barely give warmth to anything and a torn skirt, her legs had sores underneath them as she continuously rubbed them together, trying to provide warmth for herself.
The girl shrunk back in fear when the door opened, as a huge man with bulky muscles appeared out of no where, pulling her by the hair, "Let's go." He said rudely, dragging her away from the room in an inappropriate manner.
When they stepped into the light, scars and bruises could be seen all over the girl's scrawny body, and her pale lips were chapped, with her face as white as a plain sheet of paper, she squinted her eyes trying to adjust to the brightness of the room since she had been locked away in that dark place for so long.
"Where are you taking me to?" The girl asked in a weak voice unable to understand what was going as they had passed by her original stop, where is taken to do all kind of work.
"Shut up you traitor!!" The guard yelled finally throwing her on a high platform in an open space which seems to be a training ground.
People gathered around looking at the girl like she was some piece of trash as some murmured within themselves.
This was her pack, people that she had once loved with her whole heart, now they only looked at her with nothing but scorn, disgust and hatred.
The girl who laid on the ground in that pitiful condition is actually Dora smith, a girl whom everyone envied since she was a little child, her mother, had been adopted by the former Alpha and Luna when they couldn't have a child, so that made Dora's mother the elder sister to the current Alpha, so of course Dora was treated well by other pack members.
But all that changed on Dora's 16th birthday when she shifted, the place she grew up to call home was now foreign to her and nothing more like a prison cell, if there was one thing the Moonlight pack abhorred the most were Omegas, the omegas found in the pack were mostly products from war, while she who is related to the Alpha ended up being an omega.
Dora's parents started to resent her for bringing shame to them, they never saw her eye to eye any longer, she was reduced to a slave in the pack house and was maltreated by pack members punished at every single mistake she makes, for the past four years she had been living in a dark hole with no hope of light ever shining within it.
The only person who stood by her during these times and never looked down on her is her-
'Pah' The sound of a slap resounded bringing Dora out of her reminiscent thoughts.
She held her cheeks weakly, as she felt a familiar metallic taste in her mouth, tears threatening to spill out as she wondered what crime she had committed this time around, when Dora saw who slapped her, her eyes widened in shocked as the tears she held in, rolled down from her eyes slowly.
"Sa..n...dra." Dora called out in a slurred voice still holding her cheeks, she hoped that she is mistaken, that it is the tears that clouded her eyes that made her mistake the person who slapped her for her dear friend Sandra.
Sandra was the only who stood by her side during the difficult times, so there is no way that she would believe that Sandra just slapped her like, maybe she was just pretending in front of everyone there.
"Are you okay?" A tall man with a buff body immediately ran to the platform and held Sandra close, "Don't let your emotions get the best of you, don't waste it on this traitor." It was the Alpha that spoke, Dora's tears dropped rapidly as she is now unable to control them any longer and she didn't bother to.
Hearing those words from your mate hurts more than ever, "I'm not a traitor, I didn't do anything." She muttered through her tears hoping that what was going on was just a dream, she clenched her hands on her dress trying to pinch herself awake, the sharp pain she felt from the pinch made Dora shed even more tears, she kept quiet with her head bowed trying to keep her emotions in check.
It was not a dream, everything that was happening is real, she looked up once more to see the intimate position Jackson, her fated mate, held Sandra, and it stung her heart, ever since her 16th birthday she knew that Jackson was her mate but he had never acknowledged her so nobody in the pack except Sandra knew.
"You liar, because of you my brother is in a coma!!" Sandra yelled through tears glaring hard at Dora like she wanted to tear her apart.
Desperate to explain herself to the person whom she thought loved her the most, Dora launched forward and held onto the hem of Sandra's dress, "Sandra please believe me, I'll never do anything to hurt you." Dora pleaded, she hated the look filled with scorn directed at her by Sandra.
"Get your filthy hands off her!" Jackson yelled using his Alpha voice before kicking Dora away from Sandra.
Dora rolled on the ground with her hands bruising from the roughly cemented ground, she struggled to get back up using her last strength to crawl to Sandra but was pushed away once more by Jackson, she just stood afar give them a hurt look, then Jackson finally spoke up.
"You were seen last night sneaking away to the enemy's camp, and by this morning they ambushed us and all the soldiers at the border are dead!" Jackson roared angrily stunning Dora, "I was locked away, you can check the CCTV footage, please believe me." Dora pleaded in her sorry state, "You want me to believe you? Then take a look at this." He tossed a phone at Dora hitting her right on the forehead causing her to wince painfully.
She endured the pain because she wanted to find out the throat and why she was being wrongly accused, Dora watched the video that played silently, unable to believe her eyes, the person in the video looked exactly like her but it definitely not her, what was going on?
"I... Sw...ear.. I was in the dungeon ask the guards, there is no way I can escape their sight." Dora stuttered in desperation looking around for the guards hoping they will speak up for her, she knew it wasn't her in the video and it didn't look edited either so who could it be, Dora's gaze landed on Sandra who was still snuggling against Jackson but she immediately shrugged off the thought.
"Lock her up in the dungeon, I'll pass my judgement later." Jackson ordered and the guards immediately dragged Dora away, she looked lifeless as her eyes searched the crowd till they finally landed on her parents, her face lit up with a tiny hope of flame thinking they will at least speak up for her, they should know her better than anyone else, but all she got in return was the look of disappointment and disgust which completely shattered her.
Dora was thrown into a cell, and not long after the 'click clack' of a heel was heard, Sandra immediately rushed to Dora with a pity expression on her face.
"Dora, I know you hate the pack so much but why will you this? So many people lost their family because of you." Sandra looked extremely sad as she looked at Dora, "I swear Sand-" "I know you're innocent Dora, you are so pure hearted how could you do such a thing?" Sandra said holding Dora's hands through the cell gates.
Dora felt a sense of hope light up within her, at least someone believed in her innocence, but she was soon thrown into confusion when Sandra's laughter resounded throughout the dungeon.
"Sandra, why are you laughing?" Dora asked with confusion etched all over her face, she wondered why Sandra would just burst out laughing like that all of a sudden.
"Do you really think you would find a way out of this?" Sandra chuckled evilly before throwing a fierce look at Dora.
Dora was taken aback before some things started to piece together within her, Sandra had a secret talent almost no one knew, she could disguise to be anyone she wanted to be and it would be flawless and no one would be able to tell the difference.
'Could it be that Sandra had dressed up like me and framed me?' Dora wondered looking at Sandra with a betrayed gaze but she tried to push the thought away, there was no way Sandra would do that to her, she was her beloved and bosom friend.
"So you finally pieced it together huh?" Sandra smirked before stretching out her hands through the cell gates and grabbing Dora's chin tightly.
"I am so happy that you are finally getting the treatment you deserve." Sandra said with hate and disgust dripping from each and everyone of her words.
"I thought you were my friend, why will you do this to me?" Dora cried out weakly, she still held on to the thin thread of hope that something is wrong with Sandra and she was definitely not in her right mind.
"Who would want to be friends with you? You are nothing more than a disappointment to both the pack and your parents, I'm doing them a favour." Sandra sneered and suddenly Dora lost it, she gathered every ounce of strength she had left in her and pounced in Sandra grabbing her hair through the cell gates, not minding the chains that held her bound.
"You'll pay for this." Dora screamed grabbing Sandra's hair hard as the look of disappointment she saw on her parent's faces flashed once more before her eyes, it was all because of someone she trusted the most making her more enraged.
"What is going on here?!" Jackson asked immediately rushing to pull Dora's hand away from Sandra's hair and shoved Dora away causing her to hit her head hard on the floor which made Dora to bleed.
Dora's gaze felt blurry as she watched Jackson try comfort the crying Sandra, "Why did you come down here?" Jackson asked Sandra like he was scolding and at the same time comforting a child.
"She's my friend Jackson, how could I not come? I needed to know why she did it." Sandra shed fake tears burying herself in Jackson's chest not forgetting to give Dora a wicked smirk.
"Jackson, I didn't do it." Dora said in a croaked voice, at least he should believe her, if not for anything but for their mate bond.
"You don't need to explain yourself to me, I mean nothing to you and neither do you mean anything to me." Jackson stated coldly causing Dora to smile at her own despair, "but you're my mate." She muttered to herself but it was loud enough for Jackson and Sandra to hear her.
When hearing the word mate, Sandra immediately jumped away from Jackson and looked down at her feet with a guilty face, Jackson noticed this and frowned with dissatisfaction written all over his face.
"You are no mate of mine, the only person that is qualified enough to rule by my side is Sandra, not some measly weak omega." Jackson sneered coldly drawing Sandra back into his embrace.
Dora laughed at the scene, she had never felt so hurt like this before, despite the constant whips she had received previously, this was like a knife continuously being poked in her heart and removed again simultaneously.
"So just because of I'm an omega, I am unworthy to be mated with?" Dora scoffed weakly, she was starting to feel her consciousness fading away gradually, but her will to not look weak in front of Sandra and Jackson kept her awake mostly.
"Yes!! and You're a traitor!! No pack deserves a weakling and a traitor like you as their Luna and I am never going to fulfill that dream of yours, that you think you'll become a Luna!!" Jackson yelled with his chest heaving while Dora struggled to keep herself awake, she was not going to let them think that they were right about her being weak, she will definitely pull through this.
"Infact, I, Jackson Connor-" "Wait Jackson isn't that taking this too far." Sandra quickly interrupted Jackson from what he was about to say, even though Dora was seeing how much Sandra was glowing with delight seeing Jackson take that decision.
"See! I need a kind hearted Luna who would love the pack with her whole heart, and is equally strong." Jackson said to Dora before turning to Sandra, "I know you don't want to hurt your only friend but this is the only way out, she does not deserve your love and affection Sandra." Sandra reluctantly nodded at Jackson before backing out, clearing his throat, Jackson continued.
"I, Jackson Connor, Alpha of Moonlight pack, here by reject you Dora Smith as my mate, and as a member of this pack." Jackson said wincing a bit probably feeling the pain from breaking the mate's bond, "Now accept the rejection." Jackson ordered Dora coldly.
Dora sighed in her heart feeling helpless, she could not believe that it had come to this, back then when they were little before she turned into an omega, she, Sandra and Jackson were joined by the hips and the three of them always went everywhere with each other.
Jackson and Dora dated since she was 14 and he was 16, he probably already knew then that she was his mate and wanted her to transform into a wolf first before telling her about it, but fate had other plans for them, though it still didn't serve as a right for Jackson to treat her this way, Dora thought sadly, the fact he didn't mind the pain of cutting off their bond, just so he could do away with her shows and tells a lot.
"I, Dora Smith accept your rejection." Dora said in a low voice as a lone tear escaped her eyes, soon she was attacked by the pain of severing a mate bond, her heart clenched together and her wolf howled sadly within her pleading for it's mate, but there was nothing Dora could do, cutting their bond was the last and final thread, Dora completely lost her consciousness, embracing the darkness that called her as she fell on the cold hard floor of the cell.
Dora blinked her eyes repeatedly as she tried to adjust to the light around her, her whole body felt heavy and she felt like she was ran over by a truck, so this was the pain of rejection? Dora wondered turning sideways to see a nurse staring at her in shock.
There was some scattered tray laying on the floor, maybe because Dora had been too occupied with her thoughts that she didn't hear the sounds.
"Oh my gosh, you're awake!!" The nurse squealed heading outside almost immediately leaving Dora alone to wonder what the hell was going on.
It seemed like her wolf was still out, poor thing had been tortured repeatedly with wolfsbane, it'll be a miracle if she was still alive.
Dora tried to get up from the bed but felt a sharp pain at her spine area causing her to lay back down, "Am I in the pack hospital?" Dora muttered to herself but she knew it was almost impossible for her pack members to treat her of take care of her.
She tried standing up once more and succeeded this time around using the bed stand as support since her legs felt wobbly.
"What are you trying to do? Get back on the bed!" A voice cautioned Dora harshly making her eyes sharpen as she directed a glare at the man that entered with the nurse.
"Who are you?" Dora asked faintly in a hoarse voice, as she could not remember seeing this fellow anywhere in the pack before, or could it be that she was in an enemy's pack.
"You'll ask the questions later miss, just lay down first, you just woke up from a coma, don't go running about." The doctor said leaving Dora who had decided to concede shocked, she was in a coma? Was it that bad?
"Doctor, how long was I out?" Dora asked while the doctor ran some checks on her, "Three months." The doctor replied simply focusing on his work, "Where am I?" Dora could not contain her curiosity any longer and decided to ask.
"You're in country X." The doctor replied pausing for a bit, "Two men saw you unconscious in the woods and brought you here." The doctor added pursing his lips looking a bit guilty but Dora was already lost in thought and didn't notice.
Country X? She thought, could it be that she had somehow found herself in the legendary human realm or rather, she was banished and thrown into the human world by Jackson.
"Do you have any family members you remember and want to call?" The doctor asked as he kept glancing at the ward door impatiently, "Doc, what are you trying to do?" The nurse whispered at him but he shrugged her off, "Well do you?" He edged Dora on causing her to suddenly remember her parents and their disappointment in her, "I don't." Dora said with a sad smile on her face and right at that moment the doctor face changed from it's originally calm expression to a panicking one.
"Wow you really did it doc, the auction is in three days." A man at the center of the three men that barged in said with an impressed smile on his face.
"You guys really can't take her, she just woke up from a coma, she needs to be monitored for a few days before going out to the world." The doctor quickly moved in front of Dora's bed as if he was trying to protect her, leaving Dora wondering what was going on and what they were talking about.
"She had spent three months laying on that bed, what could be wrong with her!" The man at the middle spoke again and gave the other two a signal as they proceeded to go carry Dora leaving her stunned.
"W.. hat's going on here?" Dora asked immediately, wondering why the men carried her and most importantly where they were taking her to.
"We saved your life, you should be grateful to us, now shut up and stop whining." The man whom was the only one speaking said in a very harsh tone making Dora keep shut, it was not like she could fight back or anything it was better if she just shut up at least that would prevent her from getting beaten, a lesson she learnt over the past four years of her life.
"You are not taking this girl anywhere, I'll call the cops." The doctor immediately rushed to the door blocking it not wanting to let the men pass.
"Do you really think you're some hero? Or did you forget we have evidence of what happened that day?" The man inquired with a smug look on his face and the doctor slowly dropped his hands showing surrender.
"Tch, I thought as much." The buff man said sneering, "Take her away boys." The man told the men and then they headed out with Dora in their hands, looking like a travelling bag being mishandled.
Soon they got into a car and zoomed away from the hospital, "This pet is quite obedient, do you think we can have her to ourselves before the boss come." One of the three men said, they had reached a very fancy house and parked there dragging Dora like she was some rag doll into the house and dropping her on the couch.
"Now that you mention it, I am indeed curious how her moans and screams will sound." Another of the men said, Dora started panicking within herself, she did not know humans were filled with such filth but before their words could drop to the ground one of the men already had their hands on her button.
"Be a good girl for us and scream loudly for us alright?" The man stared revealing a very disgusting smile while the others laughed at this scene, when he finally undid the button on Dora shirt he looked satisfied.
"She is not quite bad." He said to the other men who held Dora's hand down to prevent her from resisting, being stared at in this manner caused Dora eyes to sting as she was already at the brink of tears when the man outstretched his hand.
"What is going on here?!" A voice thundered the whole living room.
