The Omega's Alpha Twin Mate

Author: : Makoni Winnie
Genre: Werewolf
"You are coming with us," Damon, the first-born twin, commanded, his tone brokering no disagreement. "I'm not going anywhere with either of you," Ember snarled, her eyes blazing with defiance. "You'll come with us, Mate," Xavier said, his voice calm but resolute. "When we reach the pack, we can discuss everything else." "I said, NO," Ember snapped, her heart pounding with anger. "I will never go back to that pack, and I will never go anywhere with you two. I don't even want to be mated to either of you," she hissed, her laughter hollow as she wiped away the tears that had begun to fall. "Do you know what?" She raised a brow at them. "I reje-" Before she could finish, the Alpha twins were on her, each grabbing her on one side. Their fangs elongated, and without hesitation, they bit into her neck, marking her with brutal force. Ember, an Omega at seventeen, had been wrongfully exiled from her pack, accused by the Alpha twins-Damon and Xavier-of a crime she didn't commit. Three years later, they find each other again, and Ember learns that she is the Alpha twins' Mate, with far more at stake than she ever realized.

Chapter 1 1

Ember had always hated the dark. The shadow of the trees, the way they bent and swayed like looming giants in the night, seemed to press in on her as she made her way deeper into the forest. A full moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie light over the undergrowth, but it did little to ease the weight pressing on her chest. The chill in the air bit through her thin clothing, but it wasn't the cold that bothered her. It was the memories-the whispers that seemed to follow her with every step, each echoing the past she couldn't escape.

Her heart thundered in her chest, but Ember pressed on. She had to. No other choice remained. Not when the pack had abandoned her, not when her world had been shattered by those who should have protected her. Her thoughts raced, spiraling into darker corners of her mind.

The sharp snap of a twig underfoot had her stopping dead in her tracks. She froze, every muscle in her body taut, her senses stretching out to the edges of the forest. A figure emerged from the shadows. Tall, broad-shouldered, and unmistakable.

"Damon," Ember's voice came out as a growl, full of loathing.

He stepped forward, his silhouette sharp against the backdrop of moonlight, his eyes glowing faintly with an amber hue. The first-born twin of the Alpha pair, Damon Tyrell. Even after three years, seeing him stirred something deep inside her-a mix of anger, hurt, and the faintest trace of a feeling she couldn't name.

"Ember," Damon said, his voice smooth, but there was a steel to it, one that hadn't been there before. "You're not getting away."

She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms. "I'm not going anywhere with you. Not after everything you did."

Damon's gaze softened for the briefest of moments, a flicker of something almost like regret crossing his face. It disappeared too quickly for her to truly believe it.

"Don't make this harder than it has to be," Damon said, his tone taking on an almost pleading quality. "We don't have to fight. We just need to bring you back to the pack. To us."

Ember's laugh was bitter, almost cruel. "You want me back with you? After everything?" She took a step back, shaking her head. "No. I don't belong there anymore. I don't belong with you."

Damon stepped forward, his eyes narrowing with a predatory gleam. "You never left, Ember. You've always been a part of this pack. And you're coming back where you belong."

The world seemed to tilt on its axis as a familiar, deeper voice joined the conversation.

"She's not coming anywhere with either of you," Xavier's voice carried from the shadows. The second-born twin emerged from the dark, his presence just as commanding as Damon's. Where Damon's eyes glowed amber with power, Xavier's held a deeper, more dangerous hue. There was no softness in Xavier. Only the brutal force of the Alpha blood running through his veins. He was a reflection of everything Ember had feared-and hated-since the day her life was torn apart.

"Xavier," Ember snarled, her heart racing again, but this time it wasn't from fear. It was from rage. "You don't get to tell me where I belong."

"You don't get to choose," Xavier replied, his voice cold. "You were marked long before you ever realized it."

The words hit her like a physical blow, and for a moment, she struggled to breathe. "Marked?" she repeated, her voice breaking.

Damon's lips curled upward slightly, a faint but sinister smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You didn't think we'd forget, did you?" His eyes softened only for a heartbeat before the dominance returned, the Alpha aura swirling around him. "You were always meant to be ours, Ember."

She recoiled at the words. "No," she whispered, almost to herself. "No, I'm not."

Her back stiffened, her pulse thundering in her ears as her mind screamed at her to run, to get away. The cold wind whispered through the trees, carrying with it the scent of the wolves who had chased her here. But the real truth hit her in waves-no matter how fast she ran, no matter how far she tried to go, the past always seemed to catch up. And these two... these Alpha twins, would never let her escape.

"Don't," she whispered, her voice trembling despite her best efforts. "I never wanted this."

Xavier took a step closer, his eyes fixed on her. There was something in them that made her breath catch-a glimmer of something deeper, more ancient. "But it's already been decided, Ember. You're our mate. Whether you want to accept it or not."

Ember shook her head, disbelieving. "I don't want this. I don't want either of you. I don't want to be your mate."

Damon's eyes flicked to Xavier briefly, before turning back to Ember. "You don't get to choose. We marked you already. The bond is there. You belong to us, and we won't let you go."

"Don't touch me," she hissed, stepping back, but she was already backed into a corner. The weight of the forest seemed to close in on her, and she realized there was no escape. The pack would always be after her, always searching, always hunting, like wolves after their prey.

Xavier's hand shot out, grabbing her wrist before she could react. His grip was tight, unyielding. "You don't have a choice in this, Ember."

She struggled, trying to pull away, but her strength was nothing compared to his. And before she could even think of a way to escape, Damon was there, his fingers curling around her other arm.

"This ends now," Damon muttered, his voice low, just for her. "We're taking you back with us, whether you like it or not."

Ember fought harder, her teeth gritted in defiance. "I will never go back. You both betrayed me. You exiled me. You ruined my life!"

Xavier's jaw clenched, but there was no sign of remorse in his expression. "That was then. This is now, and we are not the same. You're our Mate, Ember. And that means everything."

"Not to me," she spat, her gaze hard. "Not anymore."

But Xavier wasn't listening. With a sudden, swift movement, he yanked her forward, pulling her into his chest. His breath was hot against her skin as his fangs lengthened, gleaming in the moonlight.

"You can't reject the bond, Ember," he said softly, almost cruelly, as he lifted her chin with one finger. "It's already been sealed."

Before she could react, Damon did the same on her other side. In one swift motion, both twins sank their fangs deep into her neck, marking her forcefully.

Pain surged through her as she screamed, her body trembling from the force of their bite. But worse than the pain was the feeling-the terrifying, electrifying sensation of the bond connecting them, coursing through her veins like wildfire. Her body betrayed her, trembling under their touch, her heart hammering with an unfamiliar rhythm.

"You're ours now," Damon whispered against her ear, his voice a dangerous caress. "And you'll never be free of us again."

Ember's vision blurred as the world spun out of control. The pain subsided, leaving only the weight of the bond, the bond she had tried so desperately to resist. The bond that tied her to them, whether she wanted it or not.

She knew no matter how far she ran, no matter how hard she fought, the Alpha twins would always find her. And the worst part? She couldn't escape them.

Chapter 2 2

The world was a blur of pain and confusion as Ember stumbled through the forest. Her body felt foreign, as if it were no longer hers to command. The bite marks burned into her skin, a constant reminder of what had just happened, of what she could never undo. She could feel the bond weaving through her veins, the connection to Damon and Xavier seeping into every fiber of her being. It was unbearable.

Her breath came in short, shallow bursts as she pushed herself forward, ignoring the weakness that clung to her muscles. She had to get away, had to escape. The forceful marking had taken everything from her. Her control, her freedom, her choice. Now, she was bound to them-whether she liked it or not.

Her heart ached as the weight of the realization settled over her. There was no running from them anymore. They would always find her. No matter how far she went, they would always track her down. And now, they had marked her. She had never felt more trapped.

The ground beneath her feet was uneven, and the thick underbrush of the forest seemed to fight against her every step. The cool night air did little to soothe the fire burning in her veins. She could hear the distant sound of howling wolves, and she knew without a doubt that Damon and Xavier were hunting her. She had no illusions of escaping them, but she wouldn't go back without a fight. Not after what they had done to her.

They had exiled her. They had made her feel worthless. They had torn her from everything she had ever known. And now, they expected her to just return to their pack as if nothing had ever happened?

A surge of anger filled her chest, and with it came a wave of determination. She wouldn't let them control her. She wouldn't let them think they could just come back into her life and take everything from her again. The bond between them might have been sealed, but that didn't mean she had to accept it.

In the distance, the sound of footsteps reached her ears. She froze, her heart hammering in her chest. They were close. Too close.

Her instincts screamed at her to run, but her body betrayed her, slowing her movements. The bond made it harder to focus, harder to escape. Every step she took seemed to be followed by an echo of their presence, their power hovering just beyond her reach.

"Ember," Damon's voice called out to her, sending a shiver down her spine. "Don't run. It's no use."

She didn't look back. The last thing she wanted to see was Damon's face, his expression full of smug certainty. But his voice... It was still the same, still the voice of the Alpha who had once commanded her life. And that made everything feel like a nightmare.

"Come on, Ember," Xavier's voice joined his brother's. "You know you can't outrun us. We've always known where you are."

She gritted her teeth, pushing herself forward with more urgency. The trees seemed to blur around her as she dashed through the forest, the underbrush catching at her clothes, trying to slow her down. But she wasn't going to stop. Not now.

The sound of their footsteps grew louder, closer. They were gaining on her.

"Stop," Damon commanded, his voice sharp. "This doesn't have to be a fight."

Ember's chest tightened with frustration. "You think I'm just going to go with you? After everything? You've got another thing coming." She spat the words as though they were poison, her body aching with the need to escape.

But the bond, that damn bond, only grew stronger the further she tried to run. It tethered her to them, like an invisible chain pulling her back. She could feel the weight of their presence, even when they weren't right behind her. It was as if they were already inside her mind, inside her soul.

"Just come back, Ember," Xavier's voice called, softer now. "You don't have to fight this."

The gentleness in his tone made her stop in her tracks. For a brief moment, she allowed herself to close her eyes, the weariness of the last few days crashing down on her. The pain from the mark on her neck throbbed, but it was nothing compared to the ache in her chest. She had been betrayed by the people she had trusted most. How could she go back to them? How could she ever trust them again?

Her fingers clenched into fists as she shook her head. "I don't belong with you," she muttered, but doubt gnawed at her heart.

"You never left, Ember," Damon said softly, his voice right behind her now. "You've always been with us, and we've always been with you. You don't have to be afraid."

Fear gripped her heart as she turned to face him. His amber eyes were filled with something she couldn't quite place, something vulnerable and raw, and yet still full of the power that came with being an Alpha. It wasn't the same look he had given her three years ago-the look of an Alpha who saw her as nothing more than a pawn. Now, there was something else there, something deeper.

"Please, Ember," Xavier spoke up, his voice gentle but firm. "You're not alone anymore."

Ember's breath hitched, her mind spinning. She wanted to believe them. Part of her even wanted to give in to the pull of the bond, to return to the safety of the pack, to forget the past and move on. But too much had happened. She had been exiled, accused of things she hadn't done. How could she just forget that?

"I will never forgive you for what you did," she said, the words bitter in her mouth.

Damon's gaze hardened. "We made mistakes, Ember," he admitted. "But we're trying to make it right. We're trying to fix things, if you'll let us."

She looked between the two of them, feeling the weight of their words pressing down on her. They had hurt her. They had abandoned her when she needed them most. And now, they were asking for her forgiveness?

The bond between them pulsed, reminding her of its presence, its undeniable pull. But there was no way she could just let go of everything that had happened. Her pride, her anger, her pain... it all swirled inside her, blocking out everything else.

"I'm not going back to you," she said, her voice trembling with the force of her resolve. "Not now. Not ever."

"Ember," Damon's voice softened again, like a plea. "You don't have to do this alone."

Ember shook her head, stepping back. "You don't understand. I can't be with you. I can't just forget everything that happened. I can't trust you again."

Xavier took a step forward, his eyes locking with hers. "Then take your time, Ember. But you don't have to run anymore. We'll be here, waiting for you when you're ready."

She looked between the two of them, the ache in her chest growing stronger. The bond still pulsed, unyielding. But she wasn't ready to give in yet.

She turned and fled into the forest once more, her heart a tangled mess of anger and confusion. She had to keep moving, had to get away from them. But the pull of the bond was always there, always just out of reach, reminding her that no matter how fast she ran, no matter how hard she tried to escape, Damon and Xavier would always be waiting for her.

Chapter 3 3

Ember's breath was ragged, the cold air stinging her lungs with every hurried inhale. Her body ached from the strain of running, the exhaustion gnawing at her. Yet, she couldn't stop. Not yet. Not when everything inside her screamed to keep moving, to keep distancing herself from Damon and Xavier. Every step she took felt like a battle against the bond, against the undeniable pull drawing her back to them.

The woods stretched endlessly before her, dark and ominous, the trees towering high above her like silent sentinels. She was far from the pack's territory now, deeper into the forest than she had ever dared to go. The quiet of the night was suffocating, the only sound her own heartbeat pounding in her ears.

Her feet hit the ground with a soft thud, each step slower than the last as her strength began to wane. She stumbled, her vision blurring for a moment. Her pulse quickened. It wasn't just the physical exhaustion wearing her down; it was the emotional weight, the suffocating bond that refused to let her go. It was their presence, always lingering just out of reach, like a shadow that would never leave her.

Her stomach twisted at the thought of returning to them. The Alpha twins, Damon and Xavier. They had marked her, sealed the bond between them as if they had the right to decide her future for her. She didn't want this-didn't want them. The betrayal still stung, the memory of their accusations, of their decision to exile her without a second thought. She had been an Omega, weak, helpless, and yet they had condemned her, turned their backs on her without even listening to her side. How could they expect her to come back to them so easily?

A low growl sounded from the shadows. Ember froze, her heart skipping a beat. The sound came again, closer this time, followed by the unmistakable sound of footsteps-large, heavy, and unmistakably wolf-like.

Her instincts flared to life, her muscles tensing as she scanned the darkness around her. She wasn't alone. The presence of another wolf in the woods felt like a cold, suffocating weight. She couldn't afford to let her guard down-not when she was already at her limit.

"Ember." The voice was a low, rumbling growl, one that vibrated through her chest and sent a shiver down her spine.

Her heart leapt into her throat. It was Damon.

"You think you can run forever?" His voice was closer now, cutting through the night with an edge of authority that sent a chill down her spine.

Her legs shook beneath her as she backed away, instinctively searching for cover. But there was nowhere to hide in the vast expanse of the forest. The trees, the underbrush-everything was open, leaving her exposed.

"You're not going anywhere," Xavier added, his tone cold and unwavering. "Not until we talk."

Ember's teeth gritted together in frustration. She wasn't ready to face them-not like this. Not when every fiber of her being screamed to get away. The bond pulsed, thrumming deep within her, a constant reminder of the connection she could never escape. But that didn't mean she had to let them control her.

She snarled, her hands balling into fists as her mind raced. "I don't want to talk to you," she spat, her voice thick with defiance. "I don't owe you anything."

Damon's footsteps faltered for a moment, but Xavier's voice cut through the tension. "You don't have a choice, Ember. You never did."

The forest seemed to close in around her, the night air heavy with the weight of their words. She felt the pull of their presence drawing closer, felt their power pressing against her as though they were right beside her, even though they were still hidden in the shadows.

"You've made your point," she said, her voice shaking with anger. "Now leave me alone."

Damon stepped forward, the moonlight catching the glint of his amber eyes. His expression was unreadable, but she could feel the heat of his gaze, the weight of his presence, as though he could see right through her.

"You're not making this easier on yourself, Ember," he said, his voice softer now, almost pleading. "We're not your enemies."

"Then stop treating me like I'm nothing," she snapped. "You don't get to decide what happens to me anymore."

Xavier's laugh was a low, rumbling sound that made her skin crawl. "We've always decided your fate, Ember. You know that."

Her pulse quickened, and her heart thundered in her chest. This was it-the moment she had dreaded. The moment when she had no choice but to face them, to confront the truth that she had tried to bury for so long.

Her body trembled as she fought to suppress the growing panic. The bond was a constant hum in the back of her mind, pulling at her, urging her to give in, to return to them.

But she wouldn't. She couldn't.

"You're not my Alphas anymore," she snarled, her voice thick with emotion. "Not after what you did to me."

Damon stepped forward again, his eyes softening for the briefest of moments. "We made a mistake, Ember. We were wrong. And we're sorry."

"Sorry?" Ember laughed bitterly, the sound harsh and cold. "Sorry doesn't fix anything, Damon. Sorry doesn't undo the fact that you condemned me. That you threw me out like I was nothing."

Her voice cracked on the last word, and she hated how weak it sounded. But she couldn't stop herself. The pain was too much, the memories flooding back with every breath she took. They had hurt her. They had made her feel small, insignificant. And now they wanted her to forgive them?

"No, I can't forgive you," she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. "I can't forget what you did."

The silence between them stretched out, thick and suffocating, until finally, Xavier spoke. "We can't change the past, Ember. But we can try to make things right. We want to help you."

She shook her head, backing away further. "I don't need your help. I don't need anything from you."

Damon's expression hardened. "Then what do you need, Ember?" he asked, his voice growing low and dangerous. "Tell us. What will it take for you to trust us again?"

Ember's chest tightened, the bond pulsing fiercely in response. But she ignored it, forcing herself to stay grounded. "I don't need you," she repeated, her voice stronger this time. "I don't need anyone."

The tension in the air was palpable, thick with unresolved emotions and unspoken truths. The bond between them continued to thrum beneath her skin, an ache that would never go away. But she refused to let it control her. She refused to be their prisoner.

"You're wrong, Ember," Xavier said softly, his voice almost tender. "You need us. You've always needed us."

Her heart twisted painfully at the words, but she refused to let them break her. She wouldn't let them win. Not now. Not ever.

Without another word, she turned and sprinted into the darkness, the sounds of Damon and Xavier's pursuit ringing in her ears. She could hear them, feel them closing in on her, but she wouldn't stop. She couldn't.

The bond might have tethered her to them, but it didn't have to define her. She was Ember-strong, independent, and free. And no matter how hard they tried, she would never be their pawn again.
