The bag slipped from my hands when I saw a woman lying in the pool. It's like the woman was drowned by a person. I can't stop shaking while going down to confirm who the woman was, but when I saw her, she looked like she just lost her consciousness.

For me, it's not a big deal, but Louis will get mad when he sees who it is.

Because it's Mariella, the woman that he loves the most.

It's been two weeks since Louis brought her into the mansion and every time that they were here, I felt like I'm just a bubble.

I let out a sigh when I realized that it's also been a year since I signed the contract as proof that being his fake wife will be the payment of my father's debt to him. The contract will last until he gets an heir from me so he could get his inheritance from his father. And besides, he married me because he doesn't have any choice. It's his parents' order, not because he loves me.

"Mariella, wake up. It's not good to play around!" I yelled while shaking her. We weren't on good terms especially when I'm disturbing her lovemaking with Louis by knocking on the door repeatedly so that Louis will get annoyed and exit the room. After that, he will just sigh and take one of his cigarettes.

Maybe I can consider my life as lucky because he never laid his hands on me. Besides, I didn't know why I'm affected when we made a deal that he can have flings and have sex with them, while I don't have any freedom to do it.

"What happened here?" a masculine voice said that shocked me. I slowly turned my head and as expected, it's Louis. His eyes turned to Mariella who lost her consciousness before turning his head to me. He was confused about what's happening. Before he spoke, he jumped into the pool to get Mariella from my hands.

"What did you do to her, Elaine?" he shouted at me. His jaw clenched, but I didn't do anything. Besides, I only saw Mariella in the pool.

Why do I feel like I was framed?

"If something happened to her, I don't know what I would do to you. Mark my words," he said. His forehead furrowed and gave me a death glare while I ran to get close to him. I want to explain my side, but when I got near to him, he just pushed me away.

My butt fell on the floor but I didn't mind it and stood again. I didn't do anything to Mariella, but why is he pouring his anger on me?

"Wait, Louis, I didn't do anything to her. Can you just listen to me?" I yelled at him, but he didn't look at me. He just walked outside while my tears started to fall on my cheeks.

Why can't he just listen to me for once? Does Louis believe that I'm that desperate to kill Mariella just to be with him?

"Ma'am, you should eat your food, it will be cold later and the taste of it will be different," Sarah said while worriedly looking at me. I just stared at the table and all of the food looked so delicate, but I don't have any appetite right now.

It's been a minute since I was carried away with my thoughts. The thing that happened earlier was something that I couldn't explain. But I'm sure someone framed me.

"Can you put it aside for now? I don't have an appetite," I uttered while forcing a smile at her.

I went to my room. I badly need to rest and calm down my thoughts.

Until I heard someone open it forcefully.

"I said, I'm going to rest. Who are you to-" I said to someone who opened the door, but my voice cracked when I saw him standing at my door seriously.

It's Louis. He came back. But he's with men in black at his back. Who are they, are they his new personnel?

"Bring her to the basement," he authoritatively said. The two men came in and held me on both shoulders while dragging me down.

"Get your hands off me, what are you going to do with me?" I growled while trying to struggle from their tight grip. We reached the basement of the mansion where Louis hides all his deadly weapons which he was using if an enemy enters his mansion.

They threw me on the bed that made me frown. I held my butt that was now sore.

I was about to complain when Louis entered the room. His eyes narrowed at me. "Leave," he said. The two men just bowed to him before they closed the door. I was about to run when he forcefully pushed me into the bed that scared me. What was he planning to do with me?

"Louis, if it's about what happened earlier. I will explain," I said, but he just hushed me using his index finger to stop me from talking. I swallowed because he was so near to me that I couldn't even speak a word.

"You almost killed Mariella and our baby in her womb. That's why I'm going to punish you," he said. That broke my heart into a million pieces. What he said echoed in my brain.

They are going to have a child?

Then what is still my purpose here? If Mariella can give the heir he wanted from me.

"C...c-ongrats," I stuttered while stopping my tears from falling on my cheeks when he kissed me aggressively.

Why don't you just have a relationship with him instead of Louis?" she asked while eating potato chips. I will continue my plan to leave the Philippines and work in France so I can move on quickly with Louis.

"What are you talking about? I don't like him. If you want, then flirt with Sherford," I said while avoiding her gaze. I'm sure she'll tell me I'm an idiot.

I also met Louis' cousin, Sherford. He's also a billionaire. It's just that, I don't want to use a rebound to move on with Louis. I couldn't imagine myself with anyone aside from him.

Soon, the gynecologist came out while holding the papers and smiled at me.

"Congratulations, Miss Elaine, you're two weeks pregnant. Starting from now, you should take care of your health," the gynecologist congratulated me which surprised me. I am pregnant? With Louis' child?

"Shit, why now that we're almost near? Wait a sec, Boss Montemayor," Brennon said as he quickly got out to check the car, but Louis Montemayor hates waiting. Today is the only day that he would be available to scrutinize the person they captured who was stopping their business. The person was not admitting what he did yet, and it angered Louis more.

Brennon scratched his head while looking at the car. He was Louis' assistant in the organization. He's a racer who can avoid bullets while driving. He opened the door, still scratching his head because he knew that Louis would be angry. "Bossing, I'm sorry. But we need to bring this car to the nearest repair shop to be fixed."

"Fuck, what do you want me to do, fix the car?" Louis angrily asked. Brennon got nervous and reached for his phone in the compartment and called Kaizer.

"Fuck you, mate. You need to go to Shevereign Street. The car needs fixing!" he shouted on the phone. Louis looked at the time and fixed his gaze at Brennon again. He looked like he wanted to kill Brennon for his slothfulness. He hated this kind of situation.

"Asshole, why would you involve me in that? Fix that yourself, fuck you," Kaizer answered while laughing.

Brennon got more nervous with the fact that Louis would turn his anger at him. He called Volstrige. "We need help. The car needs fixing. We're at Shevereign Street and you need to come before a bullet could travel through my skull!" He heard a woman's moan over the phone.

"I'm busy!" Volstrige shouted. The moans got louder that made Brennon cringe. Volstrige really is a fucker. He's with someone new again.

"You can do that later, fucker! You need to come here before sir could even kill me. You guys don't love me," he dramatically said, but Volstrige only dropped the call. He last heard the words, "I'm coming!" which came from the woman he's banging. His last choice was Alex that he's hoping to finally help him, because if this issue wouldn't be fixed sooner, Louis will get more angry and possibly kill him.

"Alex," he said when Alex answered the call. He can say that Alex was driving because of the background noises he heard.

"I already know, Brennon. I'm on my way there to bring sir to Montemayor Building," he said, which made Brennon smile. It's a relief that Alex is a hacker. He's sure that the CCTV camera of Severeign Street was connected to his phone, the reason why the car was detected.

"Okay, okay, I was just about to say the situation to you. Bye, love you!" Brennon teased.

"Fuck you!" Alex answered and dropped the call. Brennon happily opened the door of the car, but before he could even sit inside, Louis pointed the gun at him.

"Who is that woman?" Louis asked. Brennon gulped. What was he saying? Does his boss think that he called a woman?

"W...w-hat, boss?" he asked. Louis looked at the woman in front of their car. The woman was wearing big glasses, braces, and her hair was messy. She was holding books, too. Brennon gaped, is this his boss' type?

Louis Montemayor was known as cold and ruthless when it comes to work. He was also known as a womanizer because he's always with a new girlf after getting what he wanted from the previous one. And besides, it's impossible that Louis will fall to a nerd one. He knew Louis, he likes beautiful, fashionable, and sexy women, far from the girl Louis was talking about.

"I don't know her, boss. Do you want me to ask her?" Brennon asked. It was also Brennon's chance to ask the beautiful girl beside the nerd. But maybe it's the girl beside the nerd that his boss was pointing at.

"No, don't mind me," Louis said and reached his phone to read messages. Brennon only leaned on the car's seat while waiting for Alex.

"Good morning, boss!" his staff happily said and bowed when Louis walked past them. Louis doesn't know why that nerd caught his attention when she's not even his type. But he chose to stop himself from asking her name, because if not, Brennon will think that he's not on his right mind.

"Where is he?" he asked authoritatively.

A man went to him and pointed the room where their captive was being held. "He's in there, Sir Montemayor, the man who prevented our shipment to Mister Rainier," he said and opened the white door.

Pox who was guarding their captive turned to Louis. He bowed and said, "He's not yet admitting it, boss."

Louis walked to the man who has bruises on his body. "Release him," he said that shocked Pox and Axel.

"But, boss-"

Louis glared at them. They quickly released the man.

"Leave," Louis commanded. They're about to protest when Louis pointed the gun at Pox who quickly left the room.

"Speak," Louis said to the man who was glaring at him. He looked weak. But it was evident that he's not going to speak.

"You're stupid, Louis. I'm not going to say anything to you!" the man shouted. Louis pointed the gun at the man's arm and shot him. He grimaced in pain but the man still managed to speak.

"Are you sure that you won't tell me anything?" Louis asked again while holding the man's arm.

"Fuck you, Louis Montemayor, you're so evil!" the man shouted. Louis grinned that scared him.

"Then send my hello to your father in hell," Louis said.

The man was shocked. "So you're my father's killer! My decision was right to side with Zap!" he shouted. Louis shot the man through his mouth that immediately killed the man.

"That's the information I want to know. Too bad, you have just known who killed your father," Louis said while grinning and left the room. His staff looked at him. "Clean the mess," he commanded and left the building. Looks like Zap was challenging him. Louis needs to outsmart Zap. Because if not, his organization will fall and he doesn't want that to happen.

Louis invited one of his flings to a restaurant.

"Waiter," Perry flamboyantly said. Perry has feelings for Louis. But he was only using Perry for his lust.

"What's your order, ma'am?" a woman with glasses asked. When Louis looked at her, he realized that she was also the woman he saw earlier.

Destiny is really playful. He saw the woman again while he's with Perry.

Elaine's Point of View

"Leave my apartment, you worthless people! You guys are a burden! You need to pay for the rent today, not tomorrow!" Mang Pedro angrily shouted at us. The truth is, we don't have enough money to pay for the rent. My father only works as a tricycle driver because he was laid off from his previous job.

They told me that we had a good life when they're still working for the Montemayors. But unfortunately, they were replaced by workers from France, the reason why they have a ton of debt to the Montemayors. When my mother died, my father changed and spent his money aimlessly. The only thing that was left in me was this necklace my mom gave me.

"Mang Pedro, can you give us another chance? We're going to pay today, please," I pleaded while kneeling. I will find a job that will pay me even if it's little. My father's salary is not enough for both of us. It's a relief that I'm a scholar, but in return, I had to study hard, get an extra curriculum. In the end, I looked like a nerd because of studying hard, because for me, education will save us from being poor.

I took up an education course because I love kids, and I want to share the knowledge that I have. Other than this, I also want to teach my child in the future.

"I've been giving you chances for months now and you're still going to ask for another? You're not my obligation, I also have a family to feed so leave!" he said and opened his fan and fanned himself.

"Leave now. Someone's going to rent this house!" he said and went to the man who was walking towards us.

"Bless, uncle!" Kaizer said to my father who was behind me. He was glaring at Kaizer that made me laugh. He's always like that, he doesn't like seeing me with Kaizer.

"Why are your things outside?" Kaizer asked. I was about to answer when Mang Pedro snaked his hand on Kaizer's arm like a leech.

"I told them to leave so you could rent, handsome. Are you going to rent?" Mang Pedro asked. He took a lollipop from his pocket and ate it. I cringed.

What was that?

"I'm not going to rent. Let them have the apartment," Kazier said and resigned from Mang Pedro's grip. He was cringing at Mang Pedro and I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

"What's funny? They don't have money so they are free to go!" Mang Pedro shouted while pointing his fan at the exit. I still have class later, I need to settle this now.

"What did you say? She's my fiancée. If you still want to have a house to go home to and keep your business, let them stay. Don't worry about the payment. I'll pay for them," Kaizer said. That shocked me. What did he say? I'm his fiancèe?

I couldn't stop myself from smiling because of what he said. My father who was glaring at me earlier elbowed me. "Fix yourself, daughter. That's not how your mom acted before." I just nodded. I thought he's going to scold me because of what Kaizer did.

"Why would I be scared of you? My friends are richer and you can't get this apartment. You're handsome, but you're arrogant. I'm sorry but you won't get a discount!" he shouted. Kaizer took out something from his pocket and gave it to Mang Pedro. Those were folds of 1,000 pesos. A paper holding this amount of money says ₱100,000. I was so shocked. This is just too much.

"Kaizer, you don't have to do that!" I shouted, but he just smiled at me.

"If you will excuse me, my fiancèe and I need to find a good apartment," he said and we're about to leave when Mang Pedro stopped us.

"Wait, I'm going to give them the big room here," he said and pushed us inside the apartment. I was about to protest when Mang Pedro shouted.

"Bonjing, Patrick! Carry these bags here!" Two, yawning men came out while looking at us. Mang Pedro smashed them with his fan and they quickly carried the bags we're holding.

Kaizer went to us and whispered to my father, "What, Uncle? Is my handsome points increased?" he asked. My father avoided his gaze from him. Too bad my father didn't like it just when Kaizer was making his move.

"Kaizer, thank you. I'm going to find a job so I could pay you," I said with my head down. My father went in first.

"If we're already married, you don't have to do that, but if you're meant for someone else, is one million fine? I'll add interest so you need to be my wife. Is that clear?" he said. I was left dumbfounded. What did he say? I jumped happily because of what he said and when I realized the time, I said to them that I'm going to school.

"I'll bring you there," Kaizer offered. I was about to say no when my father nodded. I said yes to him.

"Kaizer, I'm sorry I disturbed you," I said when we're inside his car. Kaizer and I met at Aling Kikay's panciteria. I used to stay there to eat my favorite noodles when Kaizer pulled and kissed me. I was so shocked that time that I slapped him. He only answered me with, "What? Don't you want it?" That made me crazy. Months passed and we got closer. We always go outside with Venice and Elena who's gay whom we always support when he's in gay pageants.

"That's fine so long as it's you," he said while driving. He turned his head to me and gave me a flying kiss.

"Yes, yes, and if we got into an accident, you won't be able to do that!" I said. He laughed.

"Chill, madame," he answered. After minutes of teasing each other, we reached the school.

"Bye, and thank you, Kaizer!" I said while opening the door of the car. I was shocked when he went outside to open the door for me, he also kissed my hand.

"What are you doing? Bye!" I said and ran because my cheeks were getting red. I need to hide it from him because he will tease me again.

Venice and Elena were doing their makeup while waiting for me when I entered our room. "Rapunzel's here," Elena said and combed my hair.

"Tell us what happened. Elena and I saw when that man kissed your hand. And you're blushing!" Venice said while poking my waist. I sighed because I have no choice but to tell them what happened.

"He offered to drive me here because you know, Mang Pedro forced us to leave the apartment," I started while putting my bag on the chair. The two were following me. After that, they sat on the chairs next to me and I continued my story. "And Kaizer saved us from Mang Pedro. He said that I'm his fiancèe," I said while covering my face. The two squealed like they have just seen a ghost. Our classmates even looked in our direction. "What was that for?" I asked them.

"Stupid, we're just happy for you so push it for Fafa Kaizer. I told you, he likes you, too," Venice said while poking me.

Am I not assuming? But maybe he just did that so Mang Pedro would believe him. But why am I happy?

We're going to go home together because the road to our homes was the same. They're pushing to have overnight to our place because our apartment was big and paid for by my fiancè. I was about to protest, but they blackmailed me. They're going to say to Kaizer what I truly feel for him if don't say yes.

"Are you guys going to get some clothes first before going in our place?" I asked them. They nodded. I still have a job in a restaurant. It's a relief that they hired me so I could pay our debt to Kaizer.

"Look! Look at that car. Shit, a handsome guy is standing there, but he looked like he's going to poop," Venice said. We laughed. She's right, there's a car and it looked like it needs fixing.

"The driver's handsome, but he looked like he's going to poop. Are there people inside? C'mon, let's wave at them," Venice said playfully. We all laughed and waved our hands. I even did the oppa heart even though I don't know what I was doing. We only stopped when the man went inside the car. We left and pretended that we're just talking.

"You know the job of a waitress, right? Go and get their orders, okay?" the chef said. I nodded. I heard them laugh before I could even go outside.

"She's so ugly, right?" they whispered. I just smiled while going outside the cooking room. I'm already used to it. They used to call me a rug because of my appearance. Venice, Elena, and Kaizer we're the only ones who never called me such things even though it's true.

I shouldn't let my expectations up. Kaizer will never like me with this physical appearance. I already lost to the actress he was partnered with.

"Waiter!" the woman shouted. Her body can make her a model. I quickly attended to them and wiped the tears from my eyes.

I need to focus on my job, not on other things.

"What's your order, ma'am?" I asked her. She flamboyantly turned the page to choose her order.

"Steak, and you, baby?" she asked the man she was with who was looking at me. Is there any dirt on my face? But he's handsome. His blue eyes added more to it, it seemed like those eyes can hypnotize anyone.

"Baby?" she asked again. We're both waiting for his answer. But we're both shocked when he answered something out of the menu.

"I want to order you," he said. My mouth gaped open. What did he say? What's happening? I don't even know him!
