The Naughty and Lovely Male Ghost

Author: : Bright Moon of South City
Genre: Romance
My uncle said that my fate was suitable for dealing with the dead. If I didn't do it, it might be a waste. Unfortunately, he was right. I was unexpectedly tied to an importunate ghost marriage. This male ghost was all kinds of despicable and shameless, threatening to lure me, but also vowed to say: when I was alive, the girls who admired me were as many as the carps crossing the river. Were you sure that you didn't want to marry me? You wouldn't have the opportunity later. I shook my head resolutely, but what he did to me next was something I never expected......

Chapter 1 Crescent jade

I am Su Miaoer, an ordinary junior at college. I also have another identity - a hereditary exorcist. Yes, you are not mistaken. I am a perfect combination of contemporary culture and ancient profession.

A modern exorcist.

As an exorcist, I unexpectedly met a ghost recently.

It all started a week ago.

My parents passed away when I was very young because of a car accident. I was raised by my uncle, who, bachelor as he was, served as an exorcist.

In the early years, he was a dabbler making a living as an acrobat. With the accumulation of experience over these years and thanks to the assistance of the noble, he gradually became a famous master in the local area.

A week ago, he received a big deal - the construction of a local real-estate development zone suffered numerous obstacles, and as a result, a number of migrant workers jumped off the buildings for no reason.

The property developer suffered a lot from it. The construction had to be shut down at a huge cost. Besides, several lawsuits were lodged against the property developer, and rotten tomatoes were thrown into his house every day.

Prior to asking for my uncle's help, the property developer had turned to a few professionals, but none of them could explain its whys and wherefores. Finally, he hired my uncle with a down payment of a hundred thousand yuan.

And he promised my uncle more profit after this problem was solved.

My uncle was indeed a shrewd businessman who could squeeze money out of the stingiest customer, not to mention such a fat job.

I thought he was going to race against time and go all out, but he came back that night as if being set on fire. In addition, it was said that because he was going upstairs so fast that he lost a shoe.

On the phone, there was a note of separation and death in what he said. I, scared as I was, immediately took the No. 13 bus back to see him.

Fortunately, my uncle was fine, but he couldn't stop nagging about losing the down payment of one hundred thousand yuan. In fact, he had put a lot of energy into this case. Unfortunately, he failed in the end, and the property developer broke a leg because of it.

He, as a sophisticated exorcist, figured that he had to stay away from this matter under all circumstances. Otherwise, it would cause huge trouble.

Fortunately, the down payment had been returned intact.

I thought we could move on over this matter. But to my surprise, it was just beginning.

After pacifying my uncle, I instantly started to clean up the clothes he had changed, when a jade pendant in the shape of a crescent moon dropped out of the pocket unexpectedly.

The mutton fat jade with such a gorgeous shape and full of primitive simplicity was very adorable, which made me covet.

Then, I curled my lips and lectured, "Uncle, even if you had a big case, you shouldn't squander money like this. Look, this jade pendant isn't cheap, right?"

Since such a jade pendant was specially designed for women, I was excited and put it in front of my chest right away.

Hearing this, he jumped up from the bed at once. He walked to me hastily, with his face white and scary and his eyes red, staring straightly on the crescent jade in front of my chest.

Then, he pulled the jade pendant off and threw it out of the window. At that moment, I thought the jade pendant would be smashed for sure, because we lived at the third floor.

"Miaoer, that pendant is cursed. Uncle will buy something better for you later." He comforted me. However, I felt a little uneasy at that time.

But what really bothered me happened two days later.

The jade pendant thrown out by my uncle from the third floor unexpectedly appeared in the drawer at my dorm. Then, I began to have the same dream for three consecutive days.

In the dream, I was wearing a bright red classic wedding dress and sitting in the sedan chair. However, the sedan chair turned over, and everything was spinning around.

When I realized what had happened, I found myself dead in the sedan chair, with my neck broken and bleeding heavily. The scene was so terrifying that I woke up from the dream straight.

At this time, I also vaguely realized that all this might be related to the crescent-shaped jade pendant.

Before I could ask uncle where the jade pendant came from, I put it into a thick plastic bag and threw it into the garbage bin downstairs. After that, I watched that the garbage bin was dragged onto the garbage truck and then the truck was driven far away.

Finally, I let out a long sigh of relief.

Unexpectedly, that night, when I opened the drawer in the dorm, the crescent jade pendant, which I had thrown away, came back mysteriously, lying on my book peacefully.

Thereafter, I, an exorcist, embarked on the journey of encountering with ghosts, since I experienced the "ghost on the bed" that night.

I had heard it all the time over the past two decades. However, I had to go through it myself to understand how horrifying it really was.

It seemed as if my soul was out of my body, which was numb and unable to move, but my brain was conscious. I couldn't open my eyes or spit a word, even though I wanted to desperately. I could do nothing but pray for the dawn to come soon.

But at this moment, I suddenly felt a pair of cold hands thrust into my dark thick hair, and a half of a wet tongue began to lick my neck.

The touch was so real, which crept me out. I realized that I must be possessed by something evil.

"Who...Who are you?"

"What...what do you want..."

I gnashed my teeth to spit out this sentence with great efforts. My uncle told me before that although the ghosts were inhuman and tended to go to extremes, there was still the possibility to communicate with them.

Chapter 2 Ghost–Summoning Ritual

What's more, I had nothing against the ghost, so we could negotiate peacefully if he had something to say or some unfinished wish.

It was a long wait of about two minutes.

This ghost weighing down on my body and licking my neck finally chuckled gently. His chuckle, cold and emotionless as it was, was very satisfying to the ear.

When I realized that I was appreciating the voice of the male ghost, I nearly slapped my own face.

"Now, take the crescent jade and look for me in the southwest...

You know the way to meet me...

I'll wait for you."

The male ghost hummed gently. Then, my body regained the normal softness gradually. I knew he had already left.

But he left a message for me - bring the jade pendant and go out to find him...

Wait a minute. He said I knew how to meet him.

That was to say, he knew my identity - an exorcist!

Nobody except an exorcist knew how to see a ghost.

This male ghost with unknown source or origin was not going to kill me, was he?

Thinking of this, I began to huddle myself up in the quilt, entangled and uncomfortable. But I knew for sure I couldn't ignore the threat of the male ghost, because he would definitely come back if I disobeyed his order.

I was afraid that he would do something worse if he came back to me. The more I thought about that, the more I realized that I was such a coward.

I pulled off the know-soul bell on the bedside with anger. It was said that the bell could automatically make a sound when it perceived the ghosts nearby. I had tried it before, and it proved effective.

But tonight, it was deadly silent, which almost got me hurt badly.

I stayed sulking for a while and then turned on my phone to check the time. It was exactly 12:30 at midnight. The ghost really had an exquisite sense of timing

I, after hesitating for a moment, had to carefully get off the bed to wear shoes. I opened the drawer gently, put on the crescent jade pendant and clothes, and pushed open the door to leave.

The moonlight tonight was very white, spilling over the ground through the window.

The scene was more like the scene in a horror movie, which was even more terrifying than pitch darkness.

But as an exorcist, I wouldn't be afraid. Just before leaving, I went to the washing room on purpose to wash my face with cold water, in order to wake up my brain.

Then, I walked out of the dormitory building without looking back.

I kept walking towards the southwest direction of the school, deliberately avoiding the noisy food stalls at night around the school. I didn't make a single stop until I reached a dark place without a trace of human habitation.

Then, I skillfully took out the candles, ghost money (paper made to serve as money and burned as an offering to the dead) and incense in my satchel...

Finally, I brought out the crescent jade and placed it on the ground. This was the simplest ghost-summoning ritual.

The ritual might not always work, but since I had made an appointment with the male ghost, it would definitely succeed.

As expected, when I lit up the candles and incense on the table, a biting wind suddenly blew into the originally quiet night.

I looked up uneasily and saw the ghost of a man stumbling to me from not far away.

This man hadn't been dead for long. I could tell his soul force was not profound enough to give free play to any fierce ghost tactics, let alone pulling off the tactic of "ghost on the bed" to an exorcist.

I was wondering if I mistook the object.

Until the ghost slowly approached, with his pale face decaying with maggots all over, I was almost certain that he was far too weak.

He must not be the one I was waiting for.

I got annoyed immediately, "Scram! You little rat."

I snapped at him sharply, with a note of Gang Qi on purpose (Gang Qi - the wind in upper space called by Taoism). The male ghost, who was trembling all over, seemed to be scared of me.

But he couldn't help but covet the quietly-burning ghost money on the ground. He was reluctant to leave because of greed.

I sneered coldly and conjured a bean in my palm. The bean was elaborately refined by the black dog's blood. It hit the male ghost with a slap.

"Sizzle..."

A blue smoke emerged in an instant at the place where the male ghost was hit. He fled in panic without turning back.

I continued to look around.

I was wondering if I got stood up by the male ghost, when a chilly wind blew to my ear, which brought a man's gentle laughter, "Good job. Do you intend to get rid of me in such a manner?"

Hearing this, I, with my back stiffened, looked around vigilantly.

I, born with ghost eyes, was supposed to identify any ghost.

"Behind you."

This male ghost reminded.

I turned around. As expected, I saw a dimly discernible ghost behind me. I was expecting another horrible face, but to my surprise, the ghost's look was not horrible at all.

He was in a classical long robe, wearing a skullcap, underneath which there was a long braid wrapped with jade tassels. It seemed as if he was a young master of an ancient rich family.

His face was by no means same with that of a ghost. His complexion was clear as jade; his eyebrows and eyes were handsome.

However, my heart skipped a beat because of fright. This was an old ghost, at least 100 years old. I was not in the same league as him. Being entangled by this kind of ghost might cost me an arm and a leg.

"What...What do you want? There...There's never been any bad blood between us. I never hurt you, and you shouldn't hurt me, right? Calm down. We can talk..."

I stumbled over my words, and it took me a long time to make my point clear.

Chapter 3 A School of Carps Moving Down a Stream

This male ghost looked at me seriously, and then he was at a loss to react properly, "Little girl, you are so adorable. Yes, there is no bad blood between us, but there is predestined relationship..."

'Predestined relationship, my ass.'

I taunted him secretly in my mind, "In a word, I am an exorcist. If you have any unfinished wish, you can tell me."

"Really?"

The male ghost seemed to be interested, looking at me seriously.

I felt hopeful and quickly nodded. However, the next sentence of the male ghost was so horrifying that I almost spat out blood.

"When I was alive, I didn't have a wife. As the saying goes that there are three forms of conduct against filial piety, of which the worst is having no descendants. You look pretty. How about marrying me and finishing my wish?"

The male ghost was smiling, but in my eyes he was playing a dirty trick.

My face twitched because of nonstop smiling. After a long while, I said in a cold voice, "Are you kidding me? How can a living person marry a dead one..."

"Why not?

Little girl, you were born at the Yin hour, on the Yin day, in the Yin month of the Yin year, and, with ghost eyes. With this kind of natal horoscope, do you think you can marry a living person?"

The male ghost raised his eyebrows and sneered.

I felt like being struck by lightning. I certainly knew the natal horoscope he was talking about. That algorithm, not based on the common calendar, entails a special Taoism calculation.

It was very accurate. I knew my fate since childhood. My uncle always said I was born to deal with the dead. It would be a pity, if I chose another profession instead of being an exorcist.

But...

How could I accept my destiny readily?

"Don't talk nonsense." I blushed because of annoyance and try to pretend to be strong. Anyway, I would rather die than marry a ghost.

This male ghost, without any intention of forcing me, looked at me gently. He reminded me with his seemingly good intention, "I was young and promising, when I was alive. A great number of girls adored me, just like a school of carps moving down a stream. Are you sure that you don't want to marry me? My offer doesn't stand long."

I shook my head desperately.

"I appreciate your offer. Just save it to yourself."

"It seems that you really don't want to marry me." The male ghost looked at me helplessly, as if I was ignorant to miss his offer.

He continued, "Since you don't want to marry me, I won't force you. But I do have a favor to ask you."

As expected, various ghosts pestered people, because they had some ulterior motive.

"What is it?"

I was delighted secretly, thinking that I could get rid of him by helping him out. But then I saw five black beads appear in the ghost's hand and he handed them to me.

With his movements, I felt a strong air of ghost blowing to my face.

"Have you ever seen such beads?"

He asked.

I shook my head. The beads in the world were essentially the same though differing on minor points, but the five beads in his hand looked very mysterious. I was sure that if I had ever seen them, I would never forget.

"No, I haven't."

I shook my head, just just like a drum-shaped rattle.

"No?

Then, go and find them. There are 18 in total. I will let you go when you find them all for me, otherwise..."

The male ghost grinned grimly.

I shivered unconsciously, and then I said with a mournful face, "Young master, what did I do pissed you off? Why do you put me in such an awkward situation? There are so many beads in the world. Finding the beads you said equals to looking for a needle in the ocean. How is that even possible?"

"You are the one with all Yin natal horoscope. Don't you think you are supposed to help me out?"

It was out of my expectation that this male ghost was shameless. He rolled his eyes, as if I had owed him a lot in my last life.

"There must be a time limit. If I can't find it in my whole life, do I have to look for it endlessly?"

I was still full of unwillingness, bargaining.

My uncle once told me not to make any promises or agree with any conditions when dealing with ghosts without 100% certainty to fulfill them.

Ghosts would definitely haunt us endlessly to collect the debt in this world or another. So, we had to come to an agreement in advance.

"Five years, if you can't find them in five years, just forget it."

The male ghost held out five fingers to me.

Five years was OK. It was not that unacceptable. It was just my luck to be haunted by such a difficult ghost.

Probably, the male ghost, having seen that I was still dejected, comforted, "You can rest assured. Just do as I told you. I will never be too hard on you, and later I will reward you handsomely for helping me. Well, it's too late now. Let's go somewhere else. It's too dark and creepy out here."

Damn!

That didn't sound like what a ghost would say.

I goggled at him with my wide eyes just like those of a bullfrog, not knowing how to roast him, "Yeah, it's too late. Where do you want to go, old guy?"

Shouldn't we go back to bed first?

"Don't call me that. I am not old. I was only 25 years old the year I died. Remember, my name is Rong Qi." The male ghost said placidly.

I listened carefully and then looked at him closely.

I had to say, even though this male ghost was shameless and smug, his appearance was very handsome. Did he just say he died when he was only 25 years old?

He must be high-spirited and vigorous at that age. However, he died young and was buried under the loess.

Suddenly, I found myself in the grip of a bit of inexplicable sadness. Then, I quickly slapped myself. Sadness, my ass.

"Well, how did you die?"

This male ghost named Rong Qi turned around and looked at me coldly, giving me a perfunctory answer, "It was a matter of men, and women are not qualified to ask."

"Pffft..."

If I had any blood in my mouth, I would spit it on his face.

"Little girl, you don't have to be like this. Although I am haunting you, as you said, there was no bad blood between us. I will not hurt you, as long as you are obedient..."

Then, he, having thought of something apparently, turned around suddenly.
