Lucy tapped her foot on the ground as her eyes darted around the dim street.
She was standing in front of a huge bar which was bustling with loud music despite the eery silence outside the almost empty street.
She adjusted the little black dress on her while trying to keep balance on the high-heeled shoes, then glanced down at her wristwatch and pouted.
What was taking her so long? Just as she was grumbling inside, a taxi stopped in front of her and a girl came rushing out.
"Gina, are you sure this is the place?" She hurried toward her friend who was also wearing the same kind of dress.
"Yeah, this is the address Jai sent me." Gina nodded eagerly while also adjusting her dress then said, "I never thought a bar would exist in such kind of place and thought he was trying to play pranks... I hope the rest have arrived, this is gonna be great."
Unlike Lucy, Gina had on an excited expression. Her eyes danced with enthusiasm as she grabbed Lucy's hand.
"Come on, isn't this what you always wanted?" She cheered and dragged her inside the bar.
Lucy's eyes widened as they stepped inside the bar. Her gaze wandered around the packed with so many peoples with the ladies wearing almost nothing. They were either dancing on the stage, cuddling on the huge couches inside the room, or drinking away at the bar counter.
She gulped and jerked her head sideways to Gina, whose smile had widened and was saying something which was dimmed by the loud music.
Gradually, peoples attention started turning to them, and she could also notice some of the guys eyes light up.
She sighed in relief as Gina grabbed her again and pulled her forward toward another side of the room, which was not packed.
"Jai just texted me, he said they're upstairs" Gina said, while waving her phone. The music was now coming from a distance and Lucy could hear her clearly.
"So, how did you manage to leave without alerting your private guards," Gina asked as they walked through a narrow path that leads to an elevator.
"W... Well, you know Big Bro's not in town, he went to a business, trip. I just had to tell Mum that I'll go keep sister-in-law and Big Sis company and luckily, I overhead brother speaking on the phone that all the guards should go back to the basement..." She explained slowly while her eyes wandered the place.
"Oh." Gina nodded with a giggle. "Aren't you afraid that they'll find out?"
"I doubt so." Lucy shook her head. "And if they do, you'll cover up for me." She also giggled with a hand pressed on her mouth.
"Hey, what about you?" She nudged her friend as they entered the elevator.
"I just had to ditch sister-in-law at the shopping mall. After trying on this dress, she thought I was going to remove it, but then I ran off immediately she walked to her customers," Gina replied simply while playing with a strand of her hair.
"Hehe." Lucy chuckled and tugged again at her dress.
She looked herself in the elevator's mirror and smiled. After being grounded at home for so many months, Lucy felt like a butterfly that had finally break out of a bottle after so many years.
When they stepped out of the elevator, her eyes strayed to the long hallway with various doors facing each other at the side.
She raised both brows in wonder and her head whipped to Gina who was also not spared from the shock at the sight of the grand hallway.
If downstairs was considered glamorous then where they were standing now was on another whole level.
"Who would build this kind of bar in such a desolate place?" She muttered in a daze. "Do you think some kind of illegal activity is going on here?" Her eyes widened again, however, it's now in fear.
"Come on, it's just a bar... Maybe the owner prefer it here." Gina shrugged and continued walking forward. "Let's go Lucy, stop overthinking."
Lucy's eyes still wandered the place then she also shrugged and followed her friend. Thinking back to all the scandals they've gotten into in the past leading to her being grounded with so many tight security around, she just hoped that this was not another trouble.
They finally stopped in front of a door and could hear music coming from inside.
"And you know, our friends are not gonna like it, if we don't show up. It's our very first get together after graduation, I'm sure you also don't want to get into their bad books," Gina said, before pushing the door open.
"Of course." Lucy nodded, finally remembering the core reason they were here in the first place. And she also want to breath in some fresh air, who knew if this kind of opportunity would not knock again.
Her lips curled into a soft smile and her body loosened up.
Gina pushed the door open with a grin. "Hello, guys, we're here!–" she halted in her words and gasped.
Lucy's brows settled into a frown as she watched the people inside the room. None of them seemed like their classmates. The young men were dressed in suites with so many ladies hovering around them with cocktail drinks.
Most of the ladies were swaying their bodies to the music, entertaining the guys whose dazed gazes were fixed on their slender bodies clad in tiny dresses.
"G... Gina, I think we're in the wrong room." She took a step back and turned to her friend whose astonished gaze was fixed on a far corner of the room. "What is wrong?"
Gina pointed a shaking finger toward a huge couch at the corner. "It... It's them," she muttered in a daze while also looking back.
Lucy followed her gaze and froze at the sight of the two guys.
They were relaxed on the couch, with girls clinging to their sides and swooning over them. They both had their eyes closed and a few buttons of their shirts were undone, leaving their broad muscular chests to view.
The girls had their hands on the guys bodies who appeared completely drunk and seemingly enjoying themselves.
Many months ago, they were also lured by their heavenly looks and had gotten into a scandal with them, leading to their predicament. As they ended up being grounded at home after returning from city H.
Who would have thought that they'd bump into these dangerous guys immediately they broke free?
"L... Let's get out of here before they see us." Gina grabbed Lucy's hand and they turned back. Just as they were about to reach for the doorknob at the same time, a loud music was suddenly heard from the room amid the music.
"Well well well look what we have here..." A drunken voice sounded from the room, it was so loud that it caught everyone's attention.
The two girls flinched and glanced back to see who was speaking.
A tall guy was staggering toward them with a large bottle of alcohol in hand. He had his hazy eyes fixed on them as his face broke into a devilish grin.
"Am I hallucinating or do these hot chicks just appear from the door!?" His voice boomed inside the room as the music stopped.
All they guys inside the room nodded in agreement. Their eyes were flashing with amusement as they peered through the two beauties standing at the door. The girls had on flabbergasted looks, their jade-white skins, a stark contrast to their tiny black dress which glittered under the colorful lights from the huge chandelier above.
One had raven black hair which flowed from her left shoulder down to her waist. While the other one had a wavy brown hair that stretched on her back.
Many guys inside the room rose to their feet, pushing the girls who were still clung to them aside. They all scurried forward, each wanting to be the first one to reach the girls.
Lucy griped tight to her friend's hands as the drunk guys advanced forward. Her heart was pounding hard against her ribcage as her widened eyes darted around nervously.
Her gaze settled on the couch at the far corner and she could notice that they two guys now had their eyes fixed on them.
Even though they didn't stand up from their positions and were still sprawled lazily on the couch, the glint in their eyes and the smirks on their faces made both girls held their breaths.
"Run!" Gina screamed and they both took to their heels and flailed out of the room.
They both ran down the hallway while glancing back now and then with rapid heartbeats.
After running far away from the room, both girls stopped to catch their breaths with both hands pressed on their chests.
"Hey, girls."
A voice suddenly sounded from their sides and both girls screamed at the same time.
"Come on, what is wrong with you girls?"
The guy stopped in front of them with a puzzled look.
Lucy and Gina, after sighting the guy, both heaved a huge sigh of relief.
"Oh, Jai... It's you." Lucy patted her chest.
They guy's frown deepened and he glanced between both girls. "Did something happen? Why are you both looking like this?"
"No, it's nothing." Gina chuckled. "We just entered the wrong room. Where's the others, are they here already?" She quickly changed the topic.
"Yeah..." The guy nodded then his gaze strayed to Lucy who was still patting her check. "I never expected that our dear little princess would grace this event tonight, Hehe, this is a great honor."
He scratched his head and the girls giggled.
"Follow me, the rest are waiting," he said and led them to another room.
Unlike the other room, this room was brightly lit and many young men and girls were chatting happily on the several couches while holding drinks.
The two girls settled on one of the couches after taking their drinks from the bar counter.
"Now, that everyone's here, I would like us all to welcome a special guests for tonight, our very own campus princesses who had left a deep scar on the heart of us poor guys," cheered one of the guys inside the room, as he rose up with a cocktail in hand.
And everyone's attention turned to the girls who had just entered.
They were both surprised to finally notice the two girls and everyone stared at the in wonder.
The guys expressions brightened while some of the girls had started frowning.
One of the girls clutched her boyfriend's arm and said, "Too bad no guy in this room is single, and they won't dare glance at another woman tonight, right honey?" She gave her boyfriend a pointed look whose gaze was fixed on the girls.
"Come on now Thea." The guy scratched his head with a chuckle. "That was all in the past, now that we've all graduated, we guys all know that the campus beauties are forever out of our reach... We could only gather our shattered heart together, and moan sullenly."
"You..." The girl named Thea pointed a hand at him. She scoffed then glared in the girls attention and sprang up.
"You're unbelievable Jai, why would you invite them," she walked toward Jai and scoffed. "Now, they've grabbed all attentions, nice job."
"Chill down Thea, the girls mean no harm. And no one can control the fact that they're the prettiest girls in the room... We guys can't help it," Jai replied with a shrug as he also watched the girls.
Lucy and Gina felt everyone's eyes on them. The girls turned and noticed the dark looks on the other girls faces. They gave them a nonchalant look and turned to the guys who had started gathering around them and offering them more drinks.
"Let's not squabble tonight, and enjoy ourselves," said one of the guys. "Wipe off those expressions girls and let's be nice to our dear Princess, it's a luck that mere peasants like us gets to be honored with their presence."
"He's right Thea." One of the girls stood beside the still fuming Thea and whispered, "Even though they managed to snatch almost all our guys in school, can't you see that they're still single? The thought they had high standards but I know that no sane guy would be safe dating either of them."
Thea's eyes lit up and she nodded with a smug smile. "You're right, Joey, why should we even worry that these poor guys are smitten by them, tsk tsk tsk, the guys are just hopeless."
They both walked forward and joined the others on the couches.
Very soon, the atmosphere inside the room once again lit up as everyone started chattering as they mostly talked about the times during their university days.
"I'm still astounded you know." One of the girls suddenly raised her voice and everyone looked at her. "Among all the guys in our class during our school days, didn't you all notice that it's only Jai that hadn't make a hit on the girls?"
"Yeah."
"Sure."
"Now, that's a very good question."
"You're right."
Everyone nodded in agreement and turned to Jai who was drinking without a care.
As also one of the most rich and handsome guys, everyone was surprised that he was the one that hadn't approach the girls throughout their four years at the university. He wasn't the silent type to make them think that he was shy. Could their be any reason behind it, or was he just not interested in the girls? That was impossible.
Even they guys were now eager to know his answer, and Lucy and Gina glanced at each other with frowns.
"I truly have to commend him for that, seems like he's the only sensible guy in this room." Thea clapped her hands and chuckled. "So Jai, tell us... What defect do you see in them, I want all they guys in this room to know that after all, our little Princess are not at all... Whatever they think they are."
"That's it!" Gina sprang up with dark expression. "What's your problem Thea, can't stand being outshine by others? Why don't you cage your stupid boyfriend and tell him to stop gawking at us... Is it our fault that your face has so many creases that even an old person would call you Big sister!?"
"Gina?" Lucy gasped and quickly held her down. "You have to calm down, don't let her get through you... She's just insecure, she'll soon get over it. Am I right Thea?" She glanced at Thea whose face was now red with anger.
Everyone inside the room knew that Thea was not on good terms with the girls, and were used to their squabbles whenever the girls meet.
Thea was practically the most pretty girl in the campus, until the two girls got admitted into the university.
Even after graduating, Thea still held the grudge in her heart, and would jump at any opportunity to get into a fight with the girls.
They were all used to it, and couldn't be bother with the fight that slowly brewing up between the girls.
Turning their attention to the nonchalant guy who was sipping his drink slowly, they all resumed their questioning.
"Jai, we're all hears... Please tell us."
"Yes, Jai, there most be a reason why you didn't make a move on either of them."
"For those for years, no one would believe that you haven't glance at them once. Stop keeping us in suspense and tell us your reason."
Jai raised a hand, causing everyone to halt their questioning. He twirled the glass in his hand with a chuckle, as their expectant gazes were fixed on him.
"Why chase something that already belong to you," he muttered finally and sipped his wine.
"What do you mean by that?" One of the guys asked with a frown and everyone else had on the same expression.
"Do you mean you're dating one of them secretly. or are you speaking about some one else?." Another guy chipped in.
"Enough everyone." Groaned one of the girls. "Are we going to continue partying or what? Now I'm regretting coming here..." She rolled her eyes then glared at the two girls who were acting nonchalant despite being the topic of discussion.
A lot of girls inside the room had the same reaction. Not only had the girls snatched their spot light during university days, but we're also the center of attraction where ever they are. It was as if their were magnets, and every guy in the city was made of a metal. Even the young professors at school were not spared.
Lucy turned to Gina who was enjoying the looks of envy on the other girls face. She pouted and said,"It's obvious that we're not really needed. I think we should leave."
"Nah." Gina waved her hand with a chuckle. "We aren't going anywhere, Lucy... The party had just begun, don't let them dampen your mood. Besides, aren't we here to have fun in the first place?... Hehe, now this is way too much fun."
"Yes, Princess." One of the guys chipped in. "You know what, I actually came here hoping I would get a glimpse of you, how could you think of leaving just now? Please don't do this to me."
He held his chest while extending one hand toward her in a dramatic gesture, and laughter could be hear inside the room.
He took out a huge lollipop from his pocket and Lucy's eyes lit up.
"I searched far and wide, crossed many desserts, endured blistering cold in icy mountains, before finding it... Please accept my heartfelt profession of love," he muttered with a wink while taking his time to peel off the wrap.
