Her eyes fixed on him during the party, not knowing why she was looking at him with admiration. She shook her head until she woke up from her straying, talking to herself to stop her mind from thinking about things like this.
"Are you an idiot Bella? What are you thinking? You have to think about your predicament so that you can escape from Aaron"
Her heart refused to respond to her words, and her eyes again turned to 'Alexander Andrew' the CEO of one of the major companies that work in cosmetic products.
Today, she attends the wedding of her friend Sila, who was lucky enough to marry her doctor's lover.
Her eyes again rest on Alexander. She is already infatuated with him, but now she has to think about her predicament. She needs to escape from the city but how?
In the swirl of her thoughts, she noticed him shaking hands with some men standing with him, and then he left the party.
Her eyes fixed on his footsteps, and her breathing quickened.
"This is your chance, Bella."
She looked at 'Sila' and then hurried her steps behind him.
She followed him until she reached the garage.
She swallowed her saliva when she found him stopping. Alexander turned around after feeling that someone was following him. I quickly hid behind one of the cars, and he continued walking towards his car so that the car alarm sounded.
Bella felt that her chance had been lost.
She stared at the place and looked at the little cat sleeping deeply under the car.
She stared at the cat for a few seconds, looking at it with regret for what she would do to it, but there was no way for it except this one.
The cat was scared, so Alexander screamed at it. He shook the cat off him, wrapping around him in distress and hysterics.
The garage worker noticed his screams and rushed towards him in shock.
"Take this cat away."
The cat has already run away, scared of him. The worker approached him, telling him
"That's just a cat, sir."
Alexander frowned as he heard the man's sarcasm
"I know it's a cat."
Carefully, Bella got into the car after he was busy talking to the garage attendant.
She exhaled as soon as she closed the back door of the car. Fortunately for her, one of the motorists was entering the garage with loud music. He did not notice the car door was locked.
..
She held her breath, and with the small size of her body and the expansion of the car's space, this helped her to hide in the back seat.
The car's music grew louder, making her smile broaden as she listened to the lyrics of her favorite song.
She closed her eyes and relaxed, forgetting everything around her, even the tightness of the car and her breath which began to narrow with time. She had nothing to do with it except a beautiful picture that drew in her imagination.
Her imagination took her to dreams that she knew were impossible with a lover, with whom she would dance and wear a wedding dress for him, and he would embrace her with love.
She opened her eyes and muffled the sound of her gasps as the speed suddenly increased.
She looked around her. The beautiful place she had been dreaming of for a moment had disappeared.
She scratched her head and then put her hand on her stomach, massaging it, Whispered.
"I'm so hungry; I wish I had eaten at the wedding."
She finally noticed that the music had stopped and furrowed her eyebrows astonished.
"Jackie! Who is Jackie? Is she his wife? But Sila did not tell me that he was a married man."
"Jackie, everything between us is over. We did not get divorced during this period. You know the reason for it. Do not play the role of a wife. Yes, I bought another house to live in.., The apartment is now yours, do not worry. I am not a despicable man."
Jackie's scream rose over the phone.
Jackie tried to justify him and that she did not intend to deceive him and lie to him. She cried, but he was harsh with her. He decided to separate from her without going back.
Bella's features turned to anger, then she raised her palm high, wanting to slap him above the back of his head, but at the last moment, she grabbed her palm.
"Had it not been for the news published by the journalist, the separation would have happened, but I have to wait for some time."
"Alexander, I still love you. Did you forget our love so quickly? Why don't you forgive me for this mistake? How can you be so cruel? Where did our love go?"
He shook his head as if his mind was the one who took the role of persuasion, his heart rejected this, and he no longer felt that fascination towards her, that she had deceived him.
She listened to their call with sad features cursing inside.
She does not know when and how the call ended, but all she knows and sees is that his eyes are staring at her after his phone accidentally fell between the control position of the steering wheel and the seat.
He picked up his phone and quickly adjusted his position to control the driving again, and he thought for a moment that those eyes looking at him were just configurations, but his gaze in the car mirror froze towards her face.
He stopped his car suddenly and almost caused them an accident. He turned around behind him slowly, with rigid features, asking
"What are you doing with my car?"
"Run away with your car. I liked your car; tell me which city we are going to"
She stared outside, you see the darkness of the night surrounding them, and she asked him
"When will we arrive? I can no longer feel my legs."
He gave her angry looks. He was shocked by her talk. He couldn't believe it. She was asking him about their destination and when they would arrive.
"I'll tell you now when we'll arrive."
Suddenly her sobs came out as she saw him get down from his car. He pulled her out of the car and threw her.
"Now you will know when you will arrive in the city when you start walking on your feet and enjoy the cool air and the barking of dogs."
He shook his hands after pushing her away as if he was throwing trash out of his car.
Bella looked around in shock and quickly realized that he wasn't kidding with her, and in a trembling tone, she asked.
"Will you leave me here?"
He headed toward his car without paying any attention to it
"Surely, do you think I am joking with you? You hid in my car without my knowledge. There is a misfortune of your escape, perhaps a case of murder or robbery."
She ran toward him after realizing what he meant by talking. She did not expect this reaction of his, Sila's talk about him encouraged her to flee in his car, but it seems that she does not get any sympathy, especially from the sex of men.
Sir, you certainly don't remember me. I am Sila's friend... I came with her to your farm when you invited her and Dr. Arthur.
She hastened to introduce him to her identity; maybe he had forgotten her.
"I'm Bella, sir"
"I remember you, but I have nothing to do with you, miss."
Without caring about her, he was moving in his car. She ran after him
"Sir...doesn't leave me here alone. Just take me to the city. I'll never show you my face again."
"Believe me, I didn't do any misfortune. I'm running away from my brother."
She screamed at the top of her voice after she found the car speeding up without the owner's intention to return.
"Mr. Alexander"
Strange voices rose around her, not knowing whether it was the barking of dogs or the howling of wolves.
A shiver hit her body. She turned around in fear and then shuddered in terror as she saw a car passing in front of her at full speed.
Her tears fell, looking at the darkness that surrounded the place.
"You're always unlucky, Bella. What have I done to myself? I wish I hadn't escaped in his car. The wolves will surely eat me."
Alexander breathed heavily; after he stopped his car on the side of the road. He stroked his locks of hair and looked back. He had passed a distance not far from her.
What is this misfortune that has fallen on my head?
He decided to return to her after feeling remorse. He found her standing there, wiping her eyes from tears.
He breathed a little in relief as he stopped his car.
Her gaze stuck to the car...without waiting for any other sign from him. She ran towards the car, catching her breath with difficulty.
She can't believe Mr. Alexander has come back to her.
"I can't believe... you are back, Mr. Alexander. You really are a good man, as Sila told me."
He raised his eyebrows and then looked at her for a few moments, as it seemed that she had a close relationship with Sila, the wife of his friend Arthur.
"When we reach the city...I don't want to see you again...make sure that the reason came back to you was for Sila because you are her friend."
He gave her an angry look and then turned his eyes back toward the road. She hastened to turn her eyes away from him.
"Don't worry, sir. You will never see me again."
At 2 a.m. on a city street, the car stopped in front of a hotel.
He looked at her closely and then looked toward the hotel. He waited for any reaction from her, but she was absent-minded.
"We have arrived."
She noticed what he was saying and turned to him, asking
"Where are we?"
He sighed as he stared at her.
"In front of the hotel, as you requested"
She looked at the hotel and then returned to look at him. What hotel did she tell him about? She only has ten dollars in her purse. She wanted to slap her pride and told him to take her to a cheap hotel and not this hotel where the rich go.
She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at the small bag that she hung over her shoulder.
"I'll get out of the car, don't worry."
He gave her a sharp look. He took out his wallet to give her some money.
"Take this money. You definitely need it now."
She looked at the money he gave her and swallowed her bitterness. She wished her brother had been kind and had not forced her to flee her city.
"Thank you, sir. I have money."
She rushed to open the car door before her tears betrayed her.
Her body shivered from the cold air as she left the car.
She looked at him, but his static gazes towards the road... made her know that he was waiting for the end of her company.
She backed away from any talk you would get his pity on and then closed the car door silently.
She looked at him for the last time and thought she had lost herself in a fate worse than she had imagined. She moved her feet with difficulty in front of the car.
She decided to make up her mind, telling herself,, that there is nothing wrong with humiliation,,.
His firm voice pierced her ears. He looked at her with a look that shivered her body.
"Get in the car before I change my mind."
After a while, she entered the empty restaurant with him. It seemed that it was about to close.
The worker approached him, telling him that they were about to close, but with the money that Alexander gave to the worker, the matter was resolved.
The owner of the restaurant came to welcome them. Her eyes watched everything around her.
Her hunger intensified, and Alexander indicated to her to sit down.
His gaze clung to her then he sighed exhaustedly, hoping that this night would end.
"Tell me your story. Why did you flee your city and your brother?"
She told him the reason why she ran away. Pity occupied his heart toward her.
"Do you think he can't get to you?"
Bella tensed at his tone and then lowered her head towards the intertwined palms of her hands.
"You also told me your brother is a criminal with a criminal record."
She kept lowering her head down...,, the pain gnawing at her heart,,.
"I still don't know why you ran away tonight?"
The words came out of her with difficulty and in a shaky tone
"He wants me to work in a nightclub."
He looked at her with a contemptuous look, he asked.
"How does Arthur allow his wife to be your friend?"
She swallowed his harsh words... She has to accept his talk to obtain his help.
He took out a packet of cigarettes and picked up a cigarette from it. Bella coughed hard, but he didn't care about her.
The silence continued between them for a moment; she lowered her eyes to her palms and then rubbed them hard.
She wanted to break this silence, so she spoke any talk until she made him talk to her.
"Sila told me that you own a huge company."
Her eyes glowed, hoping for his help and giving her a job in his company. She tensed as she saw his anticipating looks.
"I want your help, sir. I can do anything. I can work as a cleaning lady in your company."
The smile she saw on his lips captured her heart. She lowered her eyes shyly and then raised her eyes towards him, listening to his sarcastic response.
"I do not employ people involved in problems in my company. My employees have standards, even if this employee is cleaner."
,, She wished he had not uttered such a harsh answer.,,
She wanted to get up so that she could get him out of her trouble and the trouble of helping her.
"Thank you, sir, for the food."
"Sit." He commanded her in a firm tone.
I hesitated a little, but he repeated his command again.
"I have another offer for you, and you will get the money."
She waited to hear his offer, thinking for a moment that the offer he would make to her would be a low offer to take advantage of her need for help.
She drew many scenarios in her mind and even went too far with things.
He finished telling her with his offer, looking at her, waiting for her answer.
"I accept your offer."
She pushed her tongue forward to wet her lips with it, asking.
"You suspect your wife, sir."
Alexander relaxed his body on the seat he sat on, staring at her with a mysterious look.
"You just agreed to the offer. You have no right to ask about the reasons. I don't like asking too many questions. You have to execute."
His tone came out cold, causing her to swallow her saliva in embarrassment. He looked at her for a long time, checking her facial features and tension.
"When you go to work as a maid in the house. You have never seen me before."
..
She stood looking at the building he had taken her to after she slept last night in a luxury hotel.
She felt nervous as she raced with his steps, then swallowed her saliva..,, fearing what would happen if his wife found out that she would be a spy on her and not just a servant,,.
"I'm not fit for this job, sir. Your wife can spot me at first sight. I'm a fool. Believe me, sir."
Alexander stopped in front of the elevator, signaling her to enter
"If you want to break the contract, leave now."
She looked at him at a loss, looking around her.
"I don't know anyone here except you, sir, and I don't have a place to live or money... and you refused to hire me in your company."
His gaze narrowed towards her, giving her sharp looks.
"You make me feel...that I have hired you as an international spy. This work will not make you lose anything. You will pass on her news and calls to me."
"I will be a spy, sir, in your wife's house."
She whispered her words with emotion.
He breathed wearily. He hated the moment she got into the car.
"Don't be afraid. You're a spy for a good job, Bella. Do you feel comfortable now?"
"You're kidding, sir."
Her features were narrowed after she chanted her talk, and despite him, he was smiling at her resentful figure.
He leaned toward her, and she backed away with a jerk, her heart pounding hard.
He was surprised that her body shivered, but his astonishment quickly disappeared, and then he returned to his sharp tone.
"Bella, you're here so I can make the right decision for my marriage."
Her cheeks flushed from his closeness to her. He smiled, realizing what kind of woman she was.
"Don't lie to me about anything... every piece of information you will tell me about her movements will save me from her deception or perhaps save our marriage."
"You love your wife, sir."
She does not know why she asked this question, and her curiosity pushed her to get the answer.
Alexander ignored her question and turned the elevator back on.
Her eyes widened in panic as she just realized where she was.
"I've changed my mind. I don't want to work as a spy."
Before he could understand the reason for her sudden panic, she started pressing the elevator control buttons; randomly.
He pulled her arm after seeing the disaster she was doing.
"What are you doing, crazy?"
"I want the elevator to stop."
"Did you do this foolish thing to make the elevator stop?.. You're going to kill us like this."
He pulled her arm away from the position of the buttons; there was a slight jolt as the elevator returned to operation.
Her balance became unbalanced when her foot twirled under her without noticing that she leaned towards him.
She was in his arms, breathing in his scent... Against his will, he surrounded her slender waist with his arm, which it has not yet recovered since the accident that happened to him two weeks ago.
Bella looked at the door...that Alexander had just closed behind him after he and his wife entered one of the rooms.
She approached the door, which was closed with curiosity, and she felt angry at her bad behavior, but her nosiness took over. She came back to the room, eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Your presence here today assures me that you still love me. Give me another chance, Alexander, please."
"Jackie, it's all over between us. Our marriage is already over. You cheated on me."
"You are hard-hearted, Alexander. I love you so desperately. I can't be away from you... Forgive me for what I have done and give our marriage another chance."
"I was nothing to you but a valuable catch. David pushed you toward me to take revenge on me for his sister's sake."
She approached to seduce him, but he shouted at her after he pushed her away.
"Don't ever mess with me again, Jackie."
Her features faded when she saw him signaling her not to approach him.
"Forgive me, Alexander. I needed the money Mr. David gave me. I didn't think I would fall in love with you. I thought it was just a fake love game."
He looked at her with a look of rage. He felt mad because he married a deceitful woman like her.
He approached her, grabbed her arm, and told her.
"I don't know how I fell in love with you."
''Whenever I look at your face, I see that I am a fool.''
"My arm hurts, Alexander." She murmured, unable to bear the pain in her arm.
"The more I make excuses for you, the more I discover your despicableness. I can't believe I was so foolish."
He pushed her... so she rushed towards him, grabbing his arm, begging him.
"Alexander...please listen to me and gives me another chance. Don't judge me without knowing my reasons."
But Alexander was opening the door of the room without looking at her.
Bella gasped in terror as her body collided with his chest.
He glanced at her with a grimace, gripping her arm harshly as well.
"What did I expect from a girl like you but to eavesdrop behind doors?"
He pulled her behind him. He didn't care about Jackie's shouting.
Bella was shocked at what she overheard of a quarrel between them.
Her foot twisted as he pulled her behind him because of the speed of his steps; she cried out in rage.
"Stop, Mr. Alexander. My feet hurt."
He let go of her arm and pushed her into the elevator
"I do not want to hear your voice... It is enough that you are a disaster that has fallen on my head. I do not know why I sympathized with you.
She swallowed her saliva at the harshness of his words and then stepped back in fear.
He exited the elevator, and she followed him, not knowing where she would go with him again...when she stopped in front of his car, looked at him wondering.
"Get in the car, or will you leave me here?"
He didn't give her a reply and got into his car, waiting for her to get on.
She continued standing...so he raised his voice loudly, commanding her.
"Get in the car. I want to get rid of you. You are nothing but a disaster that fell over my head out of nowhere."
Bella got into the car, afraid of his high-pitched tone... She only wants a place to live and work.
He drove his car...she is worried about his insane speed.
Without her attention, she found herself whispering, remembering how his features changed after they left the elevator, and he stood staring at his phone.
''Of course, this is because of the message he received on his phone.''
The car speeded up; her eyes widened in panic when she saw one of the cars coming towards them.
"The car is toward us. We will die because of you. Watch out."
She let out a breath and then returned to her panic.
"You will run over the man, and he'll die, you lunatic."
She put her hands over her eyes for fear of seeing the man soaked in his blood after their car hit him, but he skillfully avoided the man.
She caught her breath in relief as the car finally came to a stop.
"I'm still alive. I can't believe I got out of your car. You are crazy."
She stared at him after he leaned his back against the front of the car.
"All this because you love your wife, put aside your pride, man, and return to her. She is beautiful, but she is bad-tempered like you."
He gave her angry looks; she stopped talking and then covered her lips with the palm of her hand.
She looked at the car mirror to arrange her clothes and locks of hair.
She let out a breath, then moved her lips wearily and wondered, What pushed her to get him into trouble?
She approached him, the cold air hitting her face.
"The weather today is wonderful. I feel hungry. Is there a restaurant near here? I don't want such restaurants that rich people enter."
Alexander paid attention to her talk after he got out of his thoughts.
Bella did not see any response from him...she was already hungry.
"Why did you choose my car and get in it?"
He gave his words and headed towards his car. She lowered her head to the ground.., feeling humiliated.
"Help me find a job, sir. I will never forget your kindness."
He turned his body to her after her words pierced his heart, then lowered his head, rubbing his forehead exhaustingly.
"I will help you, but I don't want any talk that comes out of you about what you heard."
She nodded her head...his eyes gleamed harshly, remembering how Jackie had fooled him.
"If words get out here or there... I will know how to punish you."
She quickly wiped her tears, looking at him, swearing honestly.
"Do not be afraid, sir... as if I had never heard your quarrel and never met you and your wife."
"She is my ex-wife...she is no longer my wife."
"I have a friend who owns a restaurant. I will ask him to hire you." He muttered his words and then gave her a cursory look.
Her eyes sparkled with happiness. She finally found a job.
"Where will I live, sir?"
He looked at her silently without answering her.
..
"Bella, Bella...go write down the customer order."
Bella hastened her steps towards one of the tables pointed out by Mr. Albert that a kind man.
She wrote down the request with a gentle smile asking the customer.
"Is there another request, sir?"
"Thank you."
This has been her work for the past two days since Mr. Alexander brought her here.
She sighed tiredly when her rest time came, looking at her co-workers as they ate their food in the restaurant kitchen.
"Today, work is very stressful...there are many customers." ,, Bella muttered as she sat down to eat her meal.,,
Before they finished eating, they heard shouting.
Mr. Albert cursed his son, Ashley, in his secret. He hated the day he had a son like Ashley.
"Of course, you're here to take the money." Mr. Albert said it as he looked at Ashley.
"Yes, dear father, I admire your intelligence. Give me the money so I can go, for I know you can't bear to see me."
Mr. Albert exhaled his breath narrowly after giving him the money and headed towards the kitchen to continue examining the food.
Zola, ''one of the waitresses''... looked around her and then ran to Ashley before he left.
"Ashley, wait."
Ashley furrowed his eyebrows...he turned to her and then took a close look at the curves of her body.
Zola approached him and unbuttoned some of her shirt buttons.
"Did you not miss me, Mr. Ashley?"
Ashley did not wait to hear any more chatter...and pulled her by the elbow into the pantry where the food was kept.
A gasp came out of Bella, whose body shivered with terror as she saw them in that shameful situation.
She hastened with her steps outside after falling one of the food boxes from her hand.
Zola hastily tidied up her shirt and locks of hair.
"She saw us. I can't stand this girl, Ashley."
Ashley left without caring about her.
Zola breathed out in panic and returned to the kitchen. She looked at Bella, threatening her if she exposed her to Mr. Albert.
..
Zola chewed gum near Bella, who was busy cleaning the tables.
Bella didn't care about what she did...she knew she wanted to fight with her so that Mr. Albert would fire her.
Zola poked her in the shoulder angrily.
"You know...I can't stand you in the restaurant, so beware of me."
Bella swallowed a groan...she saw the likes of Zola in the shop where she worked in her city.
"I'm here on business. I don't care about you."
Zola's features darkened...she glared at her with hatred and took angry steps out of the kitchen, muttering to herself.
"She doesn't seem to be afraid of me. I must think of a predicament for her until she is kicked out of the restaurant."
