Mr Walter, a man in his 60s sat on his sofa with his eyes glued to the TV. He smiles as he watched the news.

The election for the state gubernatorial election has put the city in an hopeful situation as Los Angeles can't wait to see a new development in California.

A woman who seems to be his wife came out with some bottle of wine from the kitchen.

"Hey honey,, who do you think is going to be our next Mayor?"

He asked with his eyes still glued to the TV

"That's left for we citizens to decide,, but I think...

Suddenly, four men in black suit barge in interrupting Mrs Walter. They broke down the house door.

Some men already surrounded the house and vicinity.

"Who are you?

What do you all want?"

Mr Walter asked. No one talked, they all kept quiet.

Mr taylor wanted to move,, everyone of them quickly brought out a gun and point it at him

"Stay where you are,, old man"

One of them said.

Mr taylor sighs.

"What do you all want?? We will give them to you,,, please don't just hurt us"

Mrs taylor pleaded.

"My money"

A voice replied from outside.

The walters wondered who it was.. everyone looked at the opened door waiting for someone to show up.

A man in blue suit showed up, he had a curled blonde hair and a straight handsome face. Anyone could figure out he is extremely rich with his dressing.. he hold a folding walking stick with his left hand and his right hand was in his pocket.

He put on a wicked smile and walked in.

Mr Walter and his wife fell down on their knees.

"Am sorry about your door my men broke down..

I will remove the damages from the money you owe me"

He said and looked at Mr Walter.

" Son, please am going to pay back soon, I just need more time"

Mr Walter pleaded.

He smile and walk slowly to him,, move closer to his ears

" First, am not your son..

My name is Andrew William and no one call me son apart from my father "

He whispered into Mr Walter's ear before pushing him away slightly with his walking stick.

" And time is not something you can play with,, I have given you time enough,,

Where is my money?

He asked again more angrily.

Mr taylor kept quiet.

"Alright, where is she then?

Since I can't have my money, I just be able to have her "

" She isn't back home yet "

Mr taylor replied in fear.. he stutter as he talk.

Mrs taylor just look down trying not to look at their faces.

" Or should I take your woman instead? "

He said and walk to Mrs Taylor,, touching her cheeks and face.

He draw her closer to him by her jaw and plant a kiss on her neck.

"I can have your wife instead, I don't care about her age"

"No, Mr Andrew,, my daughter will be back from work soon, you can have her"

Mr Walter quickly replied.

Andrew chuckles..

"Hmm, I can see you love your wife more than your daughter "

He replied.

" What's going on here? "

A lady asked as she walked in slowly.

She has a long hair and wore a black plain joggers and a white shirt that shows half of her stomach.

" What are some uncultured men doing in front of our home? "

Andrew turned to her...

He replied and smile.

Rose sighs and walk to his parents on the ground..

"Are you okay, mom?"

She asked.

"Yeah we are fine"

Her mom replied.

Rose face Andrew...

" Will you please leave us alone?

Rose raise her voice at her.

With what?? Your family is still struggling to live or where can they find the money. I already make an easy way for you,

"Just agree to my proposal,, that settles it, your parents will owe me nothing any more..

Rose cursed at Andrew.

He scoffs and hit his walking stick on the ground.

He said those two words and walked out.

His men rushed to Mr Walter and his wife, carried them on their shoulders.

Mrs Walter was trying to resist their grip but was given a slap at the face.

Rose could not hold her tears seeing her mom being treated in that manner...

Andrew's men carried her parents and walked out.

Maddie walked in with a sorry face and hug her from behind.

" It's going to be okay, rose..

She said.

" Yeah,,

Thanks Maddie"

Rose replied and sat down.

" Did you tell him about Robert? "

Maddie asked.

" No, I can't.. I can't tell him am in love with Robert.

Robert and Andrew William are sworn enemies"

" Robert could be the one to solve your problem, who knows "Maddie suggested.

" Does Robert knows you are in love with him also?

Maddie asked and rose keep quiet.

"Robert has a girlfriend, there is no way he will leave Olivia and decide to be with me, and please, I need to think of any possible way I can save my parents from Andrew's wicked hands"

She stood up and walk away.

He head all gangs in the city who helps in his drug business and has not one day made nothing less than an hundred million dollars adding to his net worth. Robert walked through the corridor with his men behind him.

One of the them unlocked a room door and gesture Robert inside.

Robert phone rang.

He picked it and walked into his room..

Two men stand in front of the door while others walk back to look around the hotel.

Suddenly, a gunshot was heard inside the room and a glass shattered was heard afterwards.

The two men safeguarding at the door quickly rushed in.

Robert suntherland was already lying dead in his pool of blood.

The glass window of the room was broken like someone escaped out..

One of them quickly look through the window,, he catch a glimpse of a man in blue suit running off through the hotel car garage.

Robert's body was still lying on the floor.

"Who did this?"

Liam asked facing one of Robert's men.

Liam Payne and Robert were best of friends. Liam work as the manager of Robert's business. He is the man Robert suntherland trust the most.

"We don't know.. we just heard gunshot after boss entered"

He replied.

Liam sighs and look at the broken window.

"The murderer killed boss and escaped through the window"

He scoffs.

" Should we report this? Mr Payne"

The cops asked.

" Yeah..

Am going to find the murderer of my best friend.

He replied with a surge of anger inside him.

Robert's body was dressed in the bag and moved out of the hotel.

"Can I see the hotel manager?"

Liam asked facing one of the cops.

Liam sat down on the couch drinking a glass of wine as he watched the murder scene he got from the CCTV cameras for the fifth times.

"It's a good thing he covered his face by wearing a mask,,

The cops would have find you by now if they recognized your face"

He said to himself as the door bell rings...

He stood up and walk to the monitor to check who is at the door.

"Liam, it's me"

Rose said staring at the monitor camera. Her face was sad looking, angry at the same time.

The door beeped and unlocked itself. Rose opened it and walked in.

Rose rushed to Liam and hugged her, sobbing on his shoulder.

"Is he truly dead?

She asked.

" Yes,, he is dead and I promise you, Rose

Am going to find his killer "

Liam said.

" I didn't have the chances to tell him about my feelings"

Rose said and sat down.

She replied sadly.

" How come he is dead... Who dares has the mind to kill him? "

Robert's men said they saw a man wearing blue suit running out of the garage seconds after Robert was shot.

Liam nodded.

"Maybe it could be Andrew William,, he is the only one that hate Robert and tried to kill him four times"

Rose sat down on the couch staring around living room.

Andrew's men were everywhere around the house making rose feeling uncomfortable.

Some men stood beside her holding a gun.

Andrew came walking down the stairs in a white shirt and a plain red trousers...

He put his hand in his pocket as he use the other hand to smoke.

He puff out a rolled smoke air from the weed he was smoking and smile on seeing Rose sitting in his living room.

"I see you finally know what to do"

He said and sat down comfortably on his couch crossing his legs.

One of his men came with a plate and stretch it to him.. he burn out his smoke and place it on the plate,. Another one offered him a glass and he poured himself a drink.

Rose cleared his throat.

"Do you hear the news??

Robert is dead"

She said.

"Yeah, I do..

May his soul rest in peace

He smile wickedly.

Rose looked at him.

"He surely murdered him, it's written all over his face"

She thought.

" So you came to see me?

Have you finally accept my proposal? "

He asked and sip a little wine.

" Yeah, I do..

Am ready, I just want my parents released "

She replied.

"I know you love your parents so much and you can do anything for them"

He said and one of his men entered and bow a little before Andrew.

" He is gone boss, we killed him"

He said.

"And why are you just reporting to me now?

Just get the fuck out of here "

Andrew shouted at him.

" Am sorry boss,,

He apologized and walked out.

Rose thought for a while.

"If Andrew didn't kill Robert himself, then his men did"

She winced her face suspiciously and look at Andrew.

Andrew snap his finger,, one of his men went in and came back few seconds later with a briefcase.

He placed it in front of rose and opened it, brought out a coloured file and a pen.

"That's our marriage contract,,

So think and read the conditions well..

He scoffs." You really do have no choice, just sign it"

She took the file and read through...

Some seconds later,

"What?

Am not allowed to leave this compound? Is this an house arrest or something?

Am not even allowed to work or find a job?" Am a waitress in a big famous bar here in Los Angeles and they pay me well there,, do you think I will just leave..

" Yes,, quit your job..

All I need is for you to remain in here in this house,, there is no need for work,, everything you needed will be provided for you"

Andrew replied.

"I even forgot, you owned the bar"

She thought.

" Is this like forever or ??

" Yeah, forever but if I feel like letting you go, I can break off the contract, and am the only one allowed to do so"

He said and smile.

Rose replied.

Or you prefer your parents to remain here and i kill them after one week of staying at my place,,

That's a way of saying they paid for staying over here and clearing their debt.

He smile wickedly as he smokes.

Rose stood up and wanted to walk out. She stopped and thought of Liam's words.

The door creaked a sound as she opened it and walked inside.

An office table, a chair, a couch, a TV and a picture frame was only in the room.

"This must be his home office" she muttered as she looked around.

She walked slowly to the frame on the wall.

Andrew, an older man who looks much like Andrew and a lady looking like someone in her 20s was in the frame.

"This must be his family I guess"

The computer on his system beeped a sound drawing her attention.

She walked to the chair and sat down, took the mouse and screened the computer.

A message just popped in.

"Rose Walter" was saved as the title heading of the message.

"What does Andrew William want?? Why is he after me?"

She thought.

" Is this man actually interested in me or he wants something else"

She heard a voice in the living room and quickly stood up..

Fear gripped Rose.

She managed to nod.

She thought.

One of his men came and showed him something like a video on his phone.

Andrew looked at Rose.

" What are you doing in my office space??

He asked angrily like someone that's really pissed off.

No one enters there except me"

He said angrily at her.

Andrew stood up and walk to her,, rose moved back slowly.

"Just one day you spent here and you have almost break all my rules"

Take her to the dark room"

He commanded and two men rushed to her.

" What's going on??

Rose asked confusedly.

"Am about to teach you a lesson"

He replied as the men grabbed her and carried out of his sight.

A car stopped in front of an abandoned building, the building was burnt by fire months ago and since then, has been abandoned.

Maddie screeched the gear and sighs.

She took the bag of groceries and foodstuffs besides her and stepped out of the car.

She looked around for any thing suspicious and walked into the abandoned building before stopping in front of a door.

"Drop it right there and turn back and go"

A voice said..

" Alright, I will

But please can I see your identity??

Who are you? I need to know who you are... I can't just be helping someone I don't....

"Go Maddie,,

The voice said interrupting her.

" Am surprised you know my name"

Maddie replied and waited for a reply but got no response.

"Alright, I will leave,, it's like you are not ready to talk"

Maddie sighs and walk away..

The door creaked opened and the person take a look watching Maddie walking into her car.
