Elsa walked out of the room looking as grumpy as usual.

"Good Morning Mum, Dad" She said and sat down.

"Good Morning Elsa" her father said while her mum rolled her eyes.

It's not new, Elsa is used to being ignored by her mother. She sat down at the dinning room and waited for her elder sister Marina to get down. Her mum is never going to serve her food except her favorite daughter Marina is there.

Elsa wondered why her mother always treat her so differently, despite her trying to be a good girl. She soon stopped when she sees her mother is never going to stop treating her like a piece of sh*t.

Her father is the same too, but not always. Sporadically, he treats her right, and every so often he treats her like she isn't a member of the family.

Elsa wondered why they'll birth her and then treat her like she was picked up from the gutter.

Argh! She hated the fact that it was affecting her mentally and physically.

"Good Morning mum, Good Morning Dad!" Marina greeted as she pecks them on their cheeks.

"Good Morning, My favorite, how was your night?" Her mother patted her and Elsa rolled her eyes.

Her mother doesn't hide the fact that Marina is her favorite daughter, and Elsa wondered why a mother should have a favorite.

"It was fine mom, I slept well" Marina said.

She pulled out a chair and sat down as Mrs Smith, their mother, started dishing out food.

"Good morning Sister" Elsa said.

"Good Morning Elsa!" Marina said.

Elsa will say, Marina is just the second copy of her mother. She doesn't treat her right, either. In fact, she's the worst, the fact that they both go to school together worsened it.

At times, Marina will drive Elsa out of the compound, so their dad will believe they went to school together, and then she'll drop her off on the road and ask her to trek.

Elsa has no say. She was just a naive girl who is being bullied by her family.

She sniffed, forcing the always rolling tears back to her eyes.

Mrs Smith served her husband and Marina breakfast, excluding Elsa.

"Mum, Where's my own?" Elsa said.

"Is mum your maid? Why asking her about your breakfast?" Marina snapped and Elsa swallowed.

"But she served you!" Elsa insisted.

"Because I'm not your mate". Marina said.

"I wasn't talking to you, Marina. I'm talking to Mum"

"Whatever" Marina rolled her eyes.

"Mum! Where's my breakfast?" Elsa faced her mum who remained silent and just eat her pasta.

"May, You didn't serve Elsa her breakfast" Mr. Smith said to her wife.

"Well, I cooked the food and I decide whom to eat it. Besides, there's no more food, she can fix one herself" Mrs Smith rolled her eyes.

"May..." Mr. Smith was saying.

"Daddy, Let her be. I'll fix something to eat" Elsa said and stood up walking to the kitchen.

She was starving and can't go to school without eating. As she placed the pot on top of the fire, she finally let go of the tears she had been holding so wrong. Why is she being treated like this? She's just like everyone else.

If her family treats her this way, how will the outside family treat her?

After some time, she finished making the food and carried it to the dinning.

"Some people will just eat and still look like a skeleton." Her mother mummers and Elsa knew those word were for her.

"May, Can we just eat?" Mr. Smith said.

"I'm eating" May snapped.

"Yeah, right" Mr. Smith said.

"Mum, I'm leaving" Marina stood up from the table, cleaning her mouth.

"Oh.okay my daughter" Mrs Smith said.

"Thanks for the meal Mum, Dad" Marina smiled.

Elsa watched as Marina walked to the door before she decided to speak.

"Sister! But you know I can't trek to school, We go together" Elsa said.

"Excuse me?"

Yeah. ! Here she goes again.

"Am I supposed to sit down and wait for you to get your ass off that chair?" Marina said.

Marina is like a queen. Elsa can't even compare herself to her. She has everything she could ask for, and Elsa was the one lacking.

She also has numerous boyfriends, and she, Elsa, doesn't even have one.

"But you were here, and know what mum did!" Elsa said.

"Let that mum sealed your mouth, You slut!" Her mother yelled, and Elsa's eyes battled with tears.

"I'm sorry" Elsa said.

"Sorry for your miserable self!" May yelled.

"May! That's enough!" Mr. Smith said.

"Are you going to shut me up because of this thing here?" Mrs Smith said.

"May, that's Elsa! Your daughter, for Christ's sake!"

"Daughter, my foot! I wished I never had her. Uh mm!" Mrs Smith cursed.

Marina stood chewing her gum as she went through her phone.

"Marina, wait for Elsa" Her father said.

"What? Me!" Marina said.

"Don't worry daddy. I'll take the bus" Elsa stood up and pecked her daddy.

"See you later Mum, Dad" Elsa said.

"I wish I don't see you!" Mrs Smith said beneath her breath.

Elsa walked out of the house and started trekking down the street. She is just going to stop at the bus stop and wait for a bus to come around.

She has no cash on her, except for the 3 USD she had planned to use in buying herself a book.

Now she has to use it in paying for the bus ride.

"Hey Kid sister! Enjoying the trekking?" Marina said.

Elsa turned and sees her in the car sticking out her tongue at her.

"Marina, stay away from me!" Elsa said and continued walking.

"Who said I was going to stay? Why will I like to stay with a Stinky girl like you!" Marina laughed.

Elsa fastened her walking step, hoping to ignore her as much as she can. She can't wait to enter high school, so she'd live in the school.

She has more seven days to spend at college, and she's done.

"I'm not stinky Marina, just go away!" Elsa said trying hard not to cry.

"Oh.okay! See you in school then" Marina said and drove off.

"She can't even offer to ride me. Umps" Elsa sighed.

"You're late today. Was it Marina?" Olivia, Elsa's best friend, asked her.

Olivia had been a great friend to Elsa ever since they met. She was always there to comfort her when needed, and Elsa could never be less happy. That's all she wanted. Not to be treated differently.

Elsa and Olivia has their life all planned together, they've decided to go to the same high school together too.

"Yeah. And Mum too" Elsa said sadly.

"I hate Marina so much, And, for the fact that she's beautiful but has a dark heart. Good Lord." Olivia said as she and Elsa sat down.

"Did she make you trek to school?" Olivia asked and Elsa nodded.

"I just wish she'll get someone to put her in her place somewhere. She's just a bully." Olivia said.

"Don't get yourself all worked up about Me, Olivia" Elsa said, placing her book on her desk.

"You're my best friend" Olivia said.

"I know"

"So don't tell me not to worry about you then"

"Just let go Olivia, it's not like this is the first time" Elsa insisted.

"Yeah" Olivia said.

"Marina, come on, we aren't going to stay long." Alice said.

We're back home and neither mum nor dad was home.

I sat in the dining, eating my pancake slowly. Alice is our neighbor, and she's in high school. A friend of Marina too.

"Alice, not like I don't want to go, but Dad will be mad if he comes home and can't find us". Marina said.

"I just said it's not going to take long". Alice said.

"Hmm" Marina hummed.

"Are you coming Elsa" Alice turns to me.

"Where?"

"There's a party going on just down the street" Alice said.

"I don't party" Elsa said.

"Argh. You're so boring." Marina said.

"Come on Alice, if it's not going to be long, then I'll go with you. And you're coming Elsa" Marina said with authority.

"I just said I'm not interested?" Elsa said.

"Who needs you to be interested? You're coming with us and that's it." Marina said.

Elsa knew marina will never ask to go to a party with her. She was doing it so that if they'd get back late, she'll blame her on that.

Elsa can't say no either,, and she badly wanted to.

"Alright then, let's go for shopping" Alice said.

"Shopping? Elsa said.

"You ain't going to dress in all this big cloths of yours!" Marina said.

"Please Marina. I ain't talking to you" Elsa said, hating the fact that Marina always take the questions not meant for her.

"Shut up, little girl! Marina yelled and Elsa could see her boiling in anger.

"Relax Marina, she's just asking a question" Alice came to Elsa's aid.

" A stupid question, as stupid as her!" Marina hissed and sat down.

"I'm sorry for pissing you off" Elsa said.

One thing she wished she could stop herself from doing is apologizing when she did nothing wrong.

"You better be!" Marina said.

"Is okay girls. Let's go get ready" Alice said.

"Whose car are we going with?" Marina asked as Elsa already went silent, not wanting to get Marina more angry.

"Mine" Alice said.

"Don't you think this is a very short gown, Marina?" Elsa asked as she stared at the short gown Marina was putting on.

They are still at the shopping mall.

"Elsa. I hate you when you act like this, can you just shut up and not poke noise in my life? Jess!" Marina snapped.

"Elsa, the cloth is not short, we're going to party, not church! How old are you again?" Alice asked.

"I'm nineteen" Elsa said.

"And you're acting as if you know nothing? Come on Elsa! Just pick your wear and let's go"

"Hm".

Music filled the party room as Elsa, Marina, and Alice walked in. Alice seemed so familiar with the place.

Well, she should be, she lives a free life and have no one to judge or treat her like a piece of trash.

They find a chair and walked over there, sitting down. Elsa had picked a black gown that was knee-length and has a little opening at the back. She wasn't comfortable wearing it still.

"Wow! Alice, this place is so beautiful. I bet I'm going to get numerous guys here" Marina smiled.

"I told you. All this guys here are not only handsome but very Rich too" Alice said.

"Wow. Really?"

"Yes" Alice said.

They both ordered for alcoholic drinks, while Elsa ordered for juice. She feels it would be better not to get tipsy as well, she also don't drink alcohol.

"Marina, don't you think you shouldn't drink that ?" Elsa said to Marina.

"The alcoholic drink" Elsa said.

"I'm just saying..." Elsa said.

"Listen to me, Elsa, we're not at home. Don't embarrass me and just be a good girl. Get that? S.i.s.ter? Marina said.

"Yes" Elsa nodded.

"You act like a baby Elsa" Alice check her head sideways but Elsa remained silent.

"Come on Marina, let's go to the dance floor" Alice said standing up.

"You'll be fine, Elsa. Better still, stand up and grab yourself a man" Alice winked at her as she and Marina walked to the dance floor.

Elsa sighed and led back on the chair, sipping her drink slowly.

The place is full of people and there is a loud music playing. Elsa was already getting headache as she wasn't used to staying with such loud music.

She stood up and grab her purse. She thought of staying outside for a while to catch some fresh air. Furthermore, she walked outside and led on a parked car and just sip her drink, staring around and wondering how some girls will be dressed in just a bra and a pant.

Do they even have a parent at home?

Well, she's out of world? Everyone won't be like her.

"What can a beautiful princess be doing outside!" A voice said beside her, and next a hand on her face.

She slowly slap the hand off her face and turned to stared at whoever it was.

It was a man, in a white top and jeans. He's a little handsome,, but he looks like a flirt. Well, anybody who comes to such place should be a flirt.

"Hello angel. Don't tell me you're just here alone" the man said.

Elsa swallowed the lump in her throat, she shouldn't have come outside.

"No, I came with my boyfriend" Elsa said.

What boyfriend? Does she even have? She just hopes this man will go away.

"Oh baby! Your boyfriend won't mind be getting a taste of you. Come here" the man grabbed her and pushed her towards himself.

"Let go of me!" Elsa tried pushing him,, but he was stronger than she was.

"Don't act hard, baby" The man said. His breath smells alcohol and Elsa wasn't comfortable with it.

"Ewww!" Elsa was almost crying.

Suddenly, she saw someone drag the man away from her and then punch him.

"You don't harass a girl!" The man said,, and her voice was very deep yet held something.

Elsa was already crying.

"Are you okay?" The deep voice asked her, but she just stood.

"Stay away from me!" Elsa yelled and ran off. Back into the party house.

She needs to leave here immediately!

Elsa searched for Alice and Marina, but she couldn't seem to find them anywhere. It was already getting dark, and she's no longer comfortable being here after what she encountered outside. She knew she could've thanked the man who saved her, but she was so scared to do that.

What the man did bring back a lot of memory she ever wanted to get laid off.

The lights in her house was on, which means her parents are back. She stood there motionless for some minute.

She finally summoned courage and opened the door, walking in but was stunned to see Marina sitting between her mum and dad.

Was this a plan?

"Wow. Wow. Wow. !" Mrs Smith said, clapping her hand.

"Good evening Mum, Dad" Elsa said, her gaze focused on Marina who kept her face down.

"Spare me! Where are you coming from? You now have the gut to leave the house and return at night. Who even gave you what you're wearing? That your miserable boyfriend, haven't he caused enough damages and disgrace to this family already! You whore. Answer me where are coming from?" Mrs Smith yelled.

"I didn't go anywhere with the so called boyfriend" Elsa whined.

"Yesterday. I didn't know, he said he wanted to surprise me. I just came back from school and mum said Tom is back. Thought she was lying though" Olivia giggled.

They were now in the classroom. Olivia removed her backpack and place it on her desk. Elsa did the same.

"I'm just tired of my family. Our neighbor and Marina's friend, Alice came around yesterday and asked us to hang out with her. I and Marina , but I insisted I'm not going. Marina talked me into going with them" Elsa said sitting down.

"That's strange. Asking you to go with them? She's definitely up to no good" Olivia said and Elsa agreed.

" Yes. You're right, They left me there and went home. Mum was so mad at me and believed Marina didn't leave the house for once" Elsa said.

"God. Your sister and mummy are sick. How can a mum treat his daughter that way" Olivia whined

The man cleared his throat and Elsa shifted back immediately, regaining herself.

Elsa stared at him. He was right, her mum is going to kill her If she sees her come down from the car.

"Then let me give you a ride. Barbie doll?" The man winked and Elsa drool.

"I'm fine. And I can walk home" She stood her ground.

Better! Elsa growled. That eyes were driving her crazy.

Some feet's away from the strange man.

The man just smiled. "Figure it out yourself"

She had insisted he drop her at the neighborhood, and then she'll trek home. It isn't far anymore. First she doesn't want her parents seeing her and next he doesn't want the man to know her house.

The man only nodded as the car drove off. Elsa smiled.

"Woown!" Someone screamed behind her and Elsa jumped in fears, hoping it isn't Marina.

"Jeez Alice! You scared the shit out of me!" Elsa whined and picked up her book that had slipped off her hand in fear.

Woown!" Alice said again.

"What" Elsa rolled her eyes. She was still pissed with Alice.

She wasn't scared that Alice will tell her parents that she catch her with a man. Alice isn't a gossiper, She's somehow lovely, but she's a badass.

"Damn Elsa. Who's that?" Alice asked.

"Who?" Elsa said.

She pretended not to know what she was talking about.

"Don't act like a child, know, Elsa. Is that your man? Damn, His car Is a baby!" Alice whined.

For once, Elsa felt she needed to make her believe something.

"Yeah. That's my boyfriend" Elsa lied.

"Good! I didn't get to see him, but I know definitely he's going to be hot. I mean his car already explained it" Alice said.

They've entered the house now, and Elsa was glad no one was home yet.

"Stop already Alice. I'm so pissed off with you" Elsa said falling on the couch.

"What? About last night?" Alice asked.

Elsa nodded. "Yeah! You guys left me''

"We didn't. We couldn't find you when we wanted to go home".

Elsa said believing Alice. "Then why did Marlene lied to mum that she didn't know my whereabout?"

"Yeah. That's my boyfriend" Elsa lied.

"Good! I didn't get to see him, but I know definitely he's going to be hot. I mean his car already explained it" Alice said.

They've entered the house now, and Elsa was glad no one was home yet.

"Stop it already Alice. I'm so pissed off with you" Elsa said falling on the couch.

"What? About last night?" Alice asked.

Elsa nodded. "Yeah! You guys left me''

"We didn't. We couldn't find you when we wanted to go home".

Elsa nodded, believing Alice. "Then why did Marlene lied to mum that she didn't know my whereabouts"

"She did?" Alice asked.

The living room door opened and Marlene entered.

"Thank God you're here, Alice!" Marlene grinned, rushing over to sit down.

Elsa watched them.

Marlene always acts like she doesn't exist,, so she's already used to being ignored by her sister.

"My boyfriend wants us to go to an all-night party with him! I don't know think my mum will allow me, and.... You know I've a wide mouth sister" Marlene rolled her eyes at Elsa.

Elsa swallowed.

"Wow! How about lie to them, you're going to an all-night prayer session?" Alice said.

"Yew! I know you'd come up of something. That's my excuse, and you're coming to me, right ?" Marlene said.

"Of course" Alice smiled.

"What about you? Sister!" There was mockery in her tone when she called Elsa, Sister.

"No" Elsa said and stood up.

She hadn't even recovered from the one they went last night. She'd never go out with Marina again.

"Better for you. Black ass!" Marina yelled.

Elsa ignored her and walked to her room. She shut the door behind and fall on the bed tiredly.

Gosh." She whined.

"Elsa" Marina walked back in.

"What?"

"I heard you've gotten a boyfriend" her tone has mockery in it.

"Well, Yes" Elsa replied , not looking at her.

"You sure be careful, You won't want mum finding out, and I hope you not stoop low again to allow them pass between your legs and report to dad how he screw you" Marina said laughing.

Elsa sighed, trying so hard not to remember the past. She should go see her therapist again.

Over the years she has always tried not to remember anything that has to do with the past, but Marina always bring back the memories.

She sighed and sat up from her bed, walked to her drawer and pull it open. She then brought out one of the novel the therapist has given her two years back. She had left it there, guess she needs it now.

She dust it and walked back to sit on her bed.

"Oh, really? No she doesn't.. that thing there you called a daughter don't own the same right as my daughter"

"May! She's my daughter, our daughter!" Mr. Smith said half yelling.

"Incase you've forgotten Smith, let me remind you,Elsa is not my daughter" May yelled.

"Stop May! We agreed not to even remind her of her mother" Mr Smith said.

"Well I'm just reminding you! I was supposed to be your first wife because I gave birth to your child first. But you chose her mum a year after losing connection with me, Why? Because she had that bastard!"

"My daughter is not a bastard May. Watch your language" Mr Smith said.

"Well, I'm greatful she's died, I still have my place! The hatred I have for her always will be melted on her daughter" May smirked.

"Don't be cruel May"

"Move out of my way!" Mrs Smith said and brushed out of the room furiously.

Elsa hid behind the door and watched her mum walk past. All this years she has believed May was her mother.

She walked inside her father's room who was pacing up and down the room.

"Daddy" Elsa whispered.

Her voice was surprisingly so low that she couldn't hear herself.

"Elsa! Why are you here... What..." Elsa cut him short.

"Is it true? What I heard.... Is not true, right daddy? You told me she's my mother" Elsa said trying hard to resist the tears.

It's a lie, her ears are playing tricks on her.

"Elsa..." Mr Smith was saying.

"Tell me it's a fucking lie! Is this the reason I was being treated differently? Is this the reason she hates me! She isn't my god-damned mother!' Elsa yelled.

"I can explain Elsa"

"Damn it dad! All this years you've been lying to me? Why didn't you tell me my mom is dead? Wait.... What Happened to my mum?" Elsa said.

"Elsa, let me explain, please" Mr Smith said.

"I don't need your explanation!! What the fuck happened to my mother!"

"She died... While birthing you" Mr Smith said slowly.

Elsa stood and stared at him... He's kidding, this is a fucking joke! Maybe a dream.... She need to wake up.

Her heart start beating more than usual, she felt her heart trying to burst. She held her chest painfully.

"My drug...." She whispered.

"Elsa, Look at me Elsa!" She heard her father's voice.

"Daddy.... My drug!" She whispered again.

Elsa opened her eyes slowly, then shut it again. Her head was seriously itching her.

"She's awake!" She heard a voice and could that that was her father's voice.

She remained quiet for some seconds before she was finally able to open her eyes.

Her eyes meet with that of her father and she slowly tried to sit up.

"Stay still Elsa" Mr Smith said.

Elsa stared at him as the memories of what happened replayed in her mind.

*May! She's my daughter, our daughter!" Mr. Smith said half yelling.*

Elsa stared at the sitting room and saw Marina and Mrs Smith sitting,staring at her.

"What is wrong with you? Are you pregnant? Why did you suddenly black out!" May yelled immediately sitting up from the sofa she was sitting on.

"I'm talking to you, you little piece of trash! Sit up there and get your ass to the kitchen, am damn hungry." May cursed.

Elsa turned to look at her father who faced down. Elsa felt cheated on. Now she could clearly understand where the hatred from May came from. It was because she's not her daughter and because her father married Elsa's mother first.

"Marina should fix the food herself, she's a lady after all" Elsa snapped and sat upright.

Her dad, May and Marina stared at her in ultimate shock. She could tell they don't believe she can talk back to her stepmom,Well... Elsa think it's high time she crawl out of this tiny little dark world of hers.

"Did... You just talk back at me!? Her stepmom, May yelled and before Elsa could reply , she slapped her.

Elsa placed her hand on her cheeks in tears, Marina sat still... Smirking, probably enjoying the little show.

"May, that's enough" Her dad said slowly sitting up.

Why is he this weak? Why can't he sit up and talk with authority?! Elsa wondered.

"Wow! I know you're going to support her. Weren't you here when this little thing talked back to me!" May yelled.

Elsa fought back the tears threatening to fall off her eyes. She stared at her dad and she would say... She wished he was not her father.

She brushed past her stepmom and ran out the house, Then finally the tears fell off her eyes.

She felt that her world had crumbled.. She've never lived a happy life, Whileas everyone is enjoying, She's always in pain.

Why didn't her father tell her May isn't her real mother? Why did he ignore the fact that she wasn't treating her right? Who is my mother?" She asked no one in particular.

Elsa have a lot of questions but unfortunately, there's no one there to give answers to her questions.

She was walking down the street now and She's still in tears, Elsa find a tree nearby and sat down and faceplamed herself and cried more.

She need to cry... Cry and take all her sorrows away. She don't want to return to that house again, she don't want to have anything doing with them. She wish to be away .. far away from all of them.

Elsa brought out her phone from her pants. She wanted to call Olivia and ask if she could come stay at her place till she decides what next to do.

Olivia's phone wasn't connecting, and it was starting to rain.

Elsa stood in the rain. Not wanting to return to the house again. She doesn't know where to go. The thought of going to Alice's house came to her mind.

She can stay there for the night. She sat up and made to walk, she was already drained by the rain.

"Barbie Doll...." She heard behind her and she turned immediately.

And there... Stood the man , she doesn't even know.
