Mia walked down the hallway feeling very dizzy. She needed to get to the bathroom to wash her face to stay sober. As she was about to get past the hotel rooms around, a door was opened, and she was pushed in. Stunned, she tried to leave when a strong hand grabbed her. "What are you doing in my room little dove?" The deep voice clouded her senses.

"Let me go please!" She begged, still trying to run out.

"It's too late!" He groaned and overpowered her.

Mia had no idea how she got thrown to the bed, and before she realized it, this man tampered with her virginity till she fainted.

She opened her eyes the next morning only to find Sia staring deeply at her. Flinching, she looked around her and saw a nurse leaving the room. Panic surged through her, and at that point, her tears poured out of her blue eyes. "Sia, I know you have realized, but please don't tell Dad!" Mia begged.

Sia flipped back her blond hair and rushed to sit very close to Mia. "You have got to trust me, sis! I'm not that bad."

"I trust you!" Mia's heart was still beating very fast as she looked at Sia as though she was her last hope to life.

Cross threw a slap across Mia's face, his eyes filled with disgust as he wished he'd killed Mia before this day. "You filthy thing. I have always known you are useless but why did you have to disgrace our family in that manner? What did we ever do to offend you?" He reprimanded her in front of everyone currently in the house which included the maids and guards who passed by trying to mind their business.

Tears didn't stop welling in Mia's eyes as she turned to stare at Sia, who had betrayed her in under one hour. Sia took her eyes down and played with her hair a bit. "Don't look at me like that sis! I was only trying to save our family's name." She muttered and Sia took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, Father, but I was raped. Believe me, all I need right now is your help." She cried. "Mother..."

"Don't you dare get Mother involved in this. She didn't force you to get your legs opened." Sia interrupted.

"Sia that is a very harsh thing to say to your sister..."

"Supporting such improper behavior is bad for your title as her mother, Rose," Cross yelled at his wife who then kept quiet almost immediately. "You are never to step your miserable feet out of this house else I would have no choice but to accept that you wish to disappear from the surface of this earth." He warned Mia and she shook her head in fright. She was used to him being very harsh towards her but the look in his eyes right then frightened her soul.

Sitting alone in her room, Mia couldn't help but cry her eyes out. Rose walked in and the moment she saw her child on the floor, she ran straight to her and hugged her really tight. "My child, I'm really sorry this happened."

"Mom, would you believe me if I said I was raped?" She asked her mother.

"I believe you! You are not what they accuse you of. Trust me, even if no one believes you, I believe you honey. Come here!" She then grabbed her closer and hugged her really tight.

"Thank you, mom!" She sobbed bitterly.

Mia's life changed drastically. There were no more parties with friends and family, no more dinners with the family. Everything had turned upside down, and she started to feel like an outcast. She spent the majority of her time in her room and on the balcony close to her room. She had no idea what the living room looked like anymore and whenever she got drained in the room, she cried it out. The only person she really sees is her mother, who brings food for her, knowing she hasn't eaten. Whenever a maid comes to clean her room, they give her a disgusted look, and that makes her run into the bathroom whenever she notices anyone coming to clean up her room and balcony then when it's time to clean the bathroom, she runs into her bed, covering her face in shame.

Depression sipped into her bones and Mia was never the same again. Her body suddenly started changing and she was losing sight of her very being.

About two months later, a tap on Mia's shoulder woke her up from her sleep. She sat up and looked at the clock only to find that it was just 6 am. Cleaning her eyes, "Mom, it's still so early."

"Yes, honey, but your father wants to talk to you. I have managed to convince him to forgive you. Isn't that a good news? Come on! Everyone is waiting to see you." Rose told her with a smile, and she got up, looking shocked.

Could that be a good news?

She guessed it was as she then quickly washed her face and mouth in the bathroom and returned to leave the room with her mother.

On getting to the sitting room, she was surprised to see everyone seated but not with strong faces. There was indeed hope on her face. "Good morning Dad!" She greeted, and after what seemed like forever, he nodded his head in acknowledgment, which did something to her heart.

"Hi, sis!" It was Sia waving at her.

Mia waved at her, not knowing what other way to react. She had lung forgiven Sia for betraying her. "I think I have punished you enough for your sins so I brought you out as a sign of forgiveness. What do you have to say to Daddy?" Cross asked her.

Mia stood frozen.

Sia was stunned!

She didn't think that was the plan she then turned to look at her father.

"I'm going to say a very big thank you! I'm very... Urgh!!!" Mia didn't expect this sudden urge to throw up from her body as she covered her mouth and ran to the nearest bathroom to vomit.

The whole family stood where they were, not being able to move as they watched her in complete shock. "Call the doctor!" Cross growled.

The maids around quickly got to work and within ten minutes, the family's doctor was already present in the building.

It took Mia forever to step her feet out of the bathroom and when she finally did, she couldn't explain herself anymore. The doctor placed her on the couch and quickly performed a test right in front of everyone. After he was done, he took a deep breath and turned to look at the family. "Is my daughter alright?" Rose asked.

"Yes, she is! I'm surprised I wasn't invited to Miss's wedding though, anyway congratulations, Miss Mia is two months pregnant!" He announced and the entire Linth family froze in shock.

Right after the doctor left the building, Cross walked towards Mia as though he would like to devour her. "What do you intend to do about this shame you have brought to us?"

Mia held her stomach as though it was her life as she tried to understand the situation she was in. She couldn't even dare think she was pregnant.

But she was!

She thought back to when the rape happened and it was then it dawned on her that she hadn't taken any contraceptives to prevent this. But how could she have? The whole world was against her thereby preventing her from thinking straight. She didn't think she was willing to accept this child though. "I'm going to have an abortion!"

PAK! PAK!! PAK!!!

Before she could finish her statement, her father had ruined her morning face with hard slaps. "Like the bullshit you did wasn't enough, you are attempting to commit more grace sins?" He yelled and Rose began to cry.

She couldn't believe the child she bore was going through this in her presence, yet she couldn't save her. "Dad, I may be able to bear the shame, but what about my child? One of the reasons I would never get accepted in this family is because you had me with Mom when you both were yet to be married. You both didn't feel the pain, I did. I don't want my child to go through that please understand." Mia protested.

"You are going to carry this shame, Mia. Nothing should happen to this child. If anything has to this child while you are yet to push the bastard out, consider yourself dead." He yelled at her.

Mia cried out with so much bitterness as she then made her way out of the sitting room to her own room. When she got into her room, she fell on the floor behind her shut door and grabbed her blonde hair, crying so deeply. She had cried all her life but this feeling at the moment was very different. So different from what she had ever imagined.

It's been two weeks since the event and she had been doing everything to cope with her new life. She was no longer grounded in the house like the months back, so dressing up, she decided to get to the mall and get herself some fancy things with some of the money that her mom had gifted her days ago.

On getting to the mall, she walked towards the clothing parts when her eyes caught sight of some maternal gowns. Happily, she got in and started picking some blue gowns. "Oh my gosh, this sky-blue gown just looks perfect!" She exclaimed and bought the ones she chose almost immediately.

When she got out of the mall and decided to drive home, she caught sight of her younger sister, Sia. "Hi, Sia! How are you? Would you like me to drive you home?" She asked her as she approached her with the shopping bags still occupying her hands.

Sia was in the midst of two random friends and on seeing her sister approaching her, she became quite defensive but in a relaxed way as she then looked at the girls beside her and around them. "I heard a loud sound. Did you girls hear that? Oh! I perceive an offensive odor. I don't know if you girls perceived that too." She said with a chuckle.

"We do!! It's disgusting!!" The girls around her replied as they then burst into laughter.

"Let's get out of here so we don't get pregnant too." Sia spat as she then dragged her friends into the mall.

Mia stood there wondering what she did wrong as she then sniffed her arm. "I don't smell Sia! What the hell are you doing?" She asked quietly as she then made her way back to the car. Taking a deep breath, she tried her best not to cry, and right after that, she drove to her house.

Five months into her pregnancy, Mia was doing nothing but glowing. Staring at herself in the mirror, she felt impressed as she then looked down at her belly. "I accept you, child! I never got the chance to experience the joy of being a child, I will make sure you experience all that love. You may not have a father, but you have me, and I will protect you till I fall in love with someone who will treat you like a precious egg." She muttered as she stared at her belly in the mirror.

She rubbed her belly as a rare smile then appeared on her face.

Mia was very surprised to see that the moment she embraced her child, the air around her changed and even her father seemed to be a little more nicer to her. Only Sia acted indifferent.

She pushed through until it was nine months. She got the privilege to sit with the family that night as they saw a movie together in the house. "Have some juice. It will help you relax." Rose said passing her a glass of her favorite juice while Sia glared at them.

Mia took a sip and realized that it wasn't what she wanted at that moment, so she sat up to place the glass on the table when suddenly it crashed. Everyone turned to look at her. "Ahhh!!!" She screamed to the shock of everyone.

"Mia, are you okay?" Rose got up feeling very alert. "Tell me how you feel!"

"I... feel like my water just BROKE." She replied screaming.

"Oh my God!"

"Holy Shit! I think she needs our help. Sia get the driver!" Rose screamed and the whole house was in a mess at that point.

Sia was a bit reluctant though. "Why the hell is she the center of attraction? She isn't the first to get pregnant!" Sia spat angrily.

"Shut up, Sia, and help get her to the car," Cross growled at her, and seeing the seriousness on her father's face, she rolled her eyes.

She refused to believe he was doing all this from his heart.

Mia got rushed to the nearest hospital and while got pushed to a ward, she wasn't the same Mia everyone used to know.

This Mia was so brave; she was talking out of pain and was willing to drag every nurse who interrupted her speech.

The doctor arrived in that instant, and they commenced helping her push out her child. "Mom don't leave me here alone. I have been alone all my life, I need you right now." Mia cried as she grabbed her mom's palms.

"I'm here for you my child!" Rose nodded her head and held her tight.

"Push!!!" Was the only thing Mia started to hear, and while she tried, her whole head ached along with her waist and her vagina.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!" She screamed in a very loud voice. "Mom, I'm in pain!" She cried out loud.

"You will overcome all of this, my dear. Just stay strong. The family loves you, and everyone is out there waiting for you to come out victorious." Rose said to her, and she had to nod her head even though she barely heard half of what her mother said.

"I'm trying, Mom!" She screamed, still pushing.

"You are doing well, go harder!" The doctor said to her, and by the time she pushed again, her child came out. Relief kinda washed Mia and Rose at that moment as the cry of the baby filled the air.

Mia felt like she just won a war and immediately, she fell asleep.

She opened her eyes after a few hours and when she turned to look at the face of her child, she saw nothing beside her. She jerked up from the bed and looked around the room only to realize that though she had been cleaned up, there was no sign of anyone in the ward with her. Not even her mother!

Suddenly, the door polished open, and Cross walked in. "Dad, where is mom?" Her weak voice asked.

"She's gone to attend to something; she will be back to take you home." He replied and she swallowed the lump that formed in her throat. "And where is my child?" She asked this time almost in a whisper.

"Your child died! We didn't want you to go through the pain of seeing your child breathless so we took it out!" He spat without empathy.

Mia froze in complete shock and within seconds, her shock was replaced with severe heartache

"My child died? That's not possible dad, I heard the cry of my baby before I drifted into sleep. My child can't die, I want my baby!" She cried holding her chest.

Rose walked into the ward at that instant with tears in her eyes as she quickly went to hug Mia. "My baby, trust me, you have me. I will never leave you. I'm sorry this happened!"

"Mom I heard the sound of my baby! Please tell me Dad is lying." She begged. She couldn't believe that her baby was dead, she felt like her life has ended.

"There is no time for this. Get ready to go home. You failed in everything. You failed as a child and even failed in motherhood. I wasn't wrong when I called you useless." Cross spat and walked out of the ward.

"I think I should just die then!" Mia couldn't bear it anymore as she then ran out of the bed attempting to commit suicide by jumping out through the window.

Rose grabbed her with terror in her eyes. "Sia where the hell are you? Come the fuck here, your sister needs you to stay alive." She screamed and Sia got in reluctantly.

"She isn't the first to lose a child. Let her die if she's that dumb." Sia spat and walked out.

Some guards Cross sent walked in and dragged Mia into the car as they then drove her home together with Rose who hugged her all through the way.

Mia sat in her room feeling more calm than she thought she could ever feel as she looked at her room ceiling, wondering when her problems would be over.

She sat there reminiscing all that had happened to her since she was a little girl, being rejected by her father because she was born before her parents married.

"Trust me to help you get out of this situation. You will heal from all of these dramas someday." Rose appeared handing a cup of tea to her.

Mia nodded as she then took the tea from her and quickly drank it all in one gulp.

***Five Years Later***

"Everyone gets down here this moment!" Cross' voice was heard all over the Linth mansion.

Mia, who was seated in her room, jerked up and ran to the inner terrace to see what was happening down in the sitting room. Seeing her father looking very aggravated got her wondering what went wrong this time. "Let's head down!" Rose said as she approached from behind.

Packing her hair into a bun, she stepped down, and by the time she arrived, Sia and every other extended family were around and seated around her angry father. "Father, are you alright? What's going on?" Mia asked hoping to know what the problem was.

"The problem is always the first to find out what the problem is. I didn't call you here to question me, you stupid child." He lashed out at her in that instant.

Mia felt attacked and had to shut up to hear him out. "Father, did someone offend you? Let me know so I can put that soul in check." Sia said in a low voice.

"No, my child, it's just a minor issue. I'm sure I will get it solved as soon as possible," he replied, and Sia smirked as she then gave Mia a look. She had proved her point.

Rose rolled her eyes at Sia's level of pettiness.

"My business is shaking. My fucking company is going down and it's all because of a bad luck that has refused to perish for years." Cross spat and Mia felt attacked but tried to keep it in.

"Cross I have had enough of you taunting Mia. She's your daughter for Christ's sake." Rose yelled. She had had enough already.

"What kind of daughter brings nothing but bad luck to an entire household?" He replied Rose.

"And what kind of father says mean and torturous things to his own daughter? I know you had me illegitimately, but I didn't ask to be born." Mia spat already crying.

"Then just die! You are of no use to me. You have never been!" He retorted deeply, and Mia staggered in pain.

Not being able to bear such anymore, she ran out of the house and drove herself out, only stopping when she got to a stream that existed in Stars Park twenty minutes away from her father's mansion.

She got out of the car as she then made her way closer. She stopped just a few feet away and let all her tears pour out of her childlike eyes. "When will I ever get out of this? This isn't living! God, please! Don't hate me so much that you keep giving me breath for no good reason."

"Mommy!" She suddenly heard and felt a tender hand holding her thigh.

Mia was stunned.

She thought she was dreaming at first until she felt the soft hands all over her two legs. She looked down and was stunned at the sight.

A very cute little boy with red curly hair was standing behind her. Their gaze locked, and suddenly, she was amused. He had huge and innocent eyes like hers which got her a bit curious. "Little one!" She said looking around. "Where is your mother?" She asked.

"I'm currently with my Mommy, my daddy is busy and doesn't have my time right now." He replied.

She laughed and then bent so she could relate better with him. "Honey, no one is too busy for their child. I think you are mistaken. If you give me your parents' details, I could help you get to them safely."

"Baby T!" A grown man's voice sounded above them and they looked up together.

Mia was stunned by his presence as she looked into his eyes and found them very comforting. She noticed his red hair and it was then it dawned on her that he could be the father. "Hi, Sir! I think you are the father. He needs you!" She said getting up only to realize how handsome this young man was. She swallowed the lump that formed in her throat as he tried to find herself back. When she looked around, she was shocked to see guards all over the place. Stunned, she pulled back from Baby T.

It then dawned on her that aside his personality that seemed comforting to her, he wasn't an ordinary man. She noticed that aside from her, there was no other person around. It was just her and these people.

"Would he hurt me?" She asked herself and kept shifting back.

"Come here Baby T. We have stayed here enough!" He spoke for the second time and grabbed Baby T.

"Why are you all here? Leave here this instant. Can't you see you are getting her scared?" Baby T said reprimanding the guards around. Hearing him, they all vanished.

Mia froze as she looked at Baby T and then at the man in front. "That's enough! Let's leave!" He said and turned to leave with Baby T.

She watched them walk away, but when they got a bit far, she saw Baby T leave his father's grip and start running towards her. Bending down, she received him in her arms. "Mommy I don't want to lose you again! Can you follow me home?" Baby T requested in his innocent voice. Tears streamed out of Mia's eyes as she started getting emotional
