EXCERPT "Why will you perform erotic dramas with a random man in a theatre, Daisy?" Alex asked with envy as she watched the woman in front of him sweating profusely after performing an adult drama for the audience in the theatre room. "They paid me, Alpha King. I was only performing the role assigned to me" she said with confidence as she stared at him straight in the eye. They were alone in the theatre room. "Is that why you have to fake moans as the man pressed himself into you?" He asked, his eyes blazed in anger. "I searched everywhere for you" "I'm not tied to you, Alex. I left you a long time ago" Daisy replied not caring if he was still the king or not. "And how much do they pay you? I will pay any amount just to have you in my room Daisy. Three thousand gold coins, six thousand? I will buy you. I want to watch you moan my name while I press myself into you. I want to hear you scream my name." Alex said smirking at her as he pulled her towards him. ................................................. Hated and abused by her relatives and people in Blackwood for being a dormant wolf. Confined in the walls of the palace with the decision to make her a concubine, Daisy seeks to escape the walls of the palace and find her real self. Conflict ignited when the Lycan King discovered he had already succumbed to her allure. Will Alex regain her true love back and will Daisy forgive the man who rejected her for another woman?

Chapter 1 Found you

"A weak human like you cannot be my fated mate."

Sexual moans filled the quiet room. The bed creaked softly as the lovers were immersed in intense lovemaking. The woman cried softly and whimpered as she was at the mercy of the man making love to her. Her legs were raised, and she dug her nails into the bed, biting her lips seductively. With a powerful thrust, they both reached their climax. The man got up from the bed and sent the woman out of the room; she was one of the palace maids.

Alexander Sullivan, the Alpha King of the Blackwood Kingdom, couldn't find his fated mate since he was crowned king after his father died in the war against Ember Grove, a kingdom filled with not only werewolves but also other creatures, and humans were slaves in this kingdom. Under the veil of night, numerous humans have been abducted in Blackwood since the reign of the Lycan King. Alex and his wolf pack have tried everything possible to uncover the source of these abductions, but their efforts have proven futile. All they know is that the orchestrator hails from Ember Grove.

However, Alex couldn't confront the kingdom because he knew he lacked concrete evidence. The special advisor to the late King Derek Sullivan possessed the ability to glimpse into the future of certain werewolves, a unique gift that contributed to the late king's decision to keep him near. Following Alex's coronation as king without a Luna to share the throne, the special advisor, Marvin, pleads to see the king in his chambers. It was during this encounter that he revealed the revelation of Alex's fated mate.

"My king, I see something, but I don't know if you will deem it fit for me to speak," Marvin said as he bowed before the king. "Speak up," Alex commanded as he rested his back on the chair.

Marvin cleared his throat before speaking up. "I saw the future, my king, and I saw your fated mate."

"You know I don't believe in this, Marvin. I'm less concerned about a mate now." Alex replied in his deep baritone voice, already exhausted from attending to court matters.

"But, my king, your powers." Marvin tries to persuade Alex to listen to him.

"And what happened to my powers, Marvin?" Alex inquired from Marvin in a calm tone, still smiling at the man before him.

"My king, everyone knows in the kingdom that you are the most powerful after the late king died, and even your brothers couldn't withstand you. It's because you are the chosen Alpha king, but from what I see, your fated mate is even more powerful. She is a powerful she-wolf and will be the strongest in the whole wide world, and no other beings will be able to defeat her. You wi........."

"How dare you say that to my face, Marvin?" Alex cuts in, his tone menacing. Whatever Marvin was going to say remained untold as he sealed his lips by pressing them tight against each other.

Rising from the chair, Alex bared his claws in anger, ready to kill the man if care was not taken.

"Are you telling me she is even going to be stronger than I am?" Alex snapped.

"No, my king," Marvin said with a shaky voice as he could feel the dark aura emitting from the Alpha king.

"The only one to defeat her will be you, of course. However, the moment you mark her, you will be even more powerful than anyone can imagine." Marvin explained cautiously.

Alex relaxed upon hearing this, but he wouldn't hesitate to kill the man if he tried anything funny again. "And where is she? Which kingdom is she in? Who are her parents?" Alex asked as his eyes peaked at this information.

"My king, she is in this kingdom, but I don't know where she is living or what she looks like," Marvin explained in a calm tone, not ready to anger the king. Everyone knows about the reputation of the King for being merciless.

"All right, Marvin, go and find out more about her and report to me."

"My king, my powers don't work like that."

"Do everything in your power to find her, Marvin. Now go," Alex said as he turned his back toward the old man on the floor. As soon as Marvin walked out of the room, Alex's eyes glowed light brown before turning to his usual dark brown eyes.

"Even if I want nothing to do with her, I will do everything in my power to have her by my side. I need to defeat Ember Grove," he mumbled, with his brows furrowed in rage. Two humans were killed last night in the village.

Days turn into weeks; weeks turn into months. Months turned into years, and yet Alex, the Alpha King, couldn't find his fated mate. He sent several werewolves in his pack to find the strongest woman in the kingdom and have them brought to his chambers in the palace. Alex couldn't find his fated mate still, and with each passing day, some of the humans in the kingdom were captured by these strange creatures in Ember Grove.

Alex sent Marvin to be called to his chambers one night and asked the old man if the prophecy was wrong or if his fated mate had been claimed by another wolf. "I have searched every nook and cranny of the kingdom, yet I couldn't find this strong-fated woman. Are you lying, Marvin?" the king said as soon as he saw Marvin come into the room.

"My king, she is near again. The moon goddess will never make a mistake," Marvin replied before continuing, "Why not organize a big party for the people in the kingdom? I mean everyone, both male and female, humans and werewolves."

"But you know about the recent cases of women getting kidnapped."

"The palace is safe for them all, my king."

_

After several weeks of anticipation, the eagerly awaited celebration for King Alex's three years of reign is finally taking place in the palace today. Following an intense lovemaking session with one of the maids, Alex took the time to dress himself up for the occasion. He paired a crisp white shirt with black trousers and stylish black boots. His hair, combed back, later flowed down his back, and a majestic black robe adorned his broad shoulders.

Descending the stairs, Alex sensed a delightful scent wafting through the hall among the crowd. His keen sense of smell heightened, and he felt a strong pull at his chest. Realization dawned on him as his brown eyes transformed, glowing with the mark on his chest. His eyes were drawn toward a figure amidst the dancing people.

Lost in the music and her world, she swayed her hips to the beat, her long brown hair dancing around her as she shook her head, smiling.

"found you," Alex said in his deep voice, walking towards the lady in the crowd, the corners of his lips pulling up in a smirk.

Chapter 2 The party

"Aren't you going to get dressed, Daisy?" Daisy's mother, Charlotte, said, walking into her youngest daughter's room. Charlotte rarely did this, but on special occasions when she knew Daisy was sad, she would walk into her daughter's room unannounced to comfort her.

"I'm uncertain whether I should go. I don't even know if I'm a she-wolf or a human," Daisy confessed, her eyes brimming with tears. Charlotte moved closer, taking a seat beside her on the bed. She enveloped Daisy in a comforting hug from behind and gently patted her back.

"Daisy," Charlotte said, her voice tender as she continued to rub her daughter's back. "I believe you'll experience the shift soon. It won't be long. You're a she-wolf; don't let anyone convince you otherwise. You'll become a formidable and resilient she-wolf. Just have faith in yourself and the moon goddess, please."

"Mother, are you certain? I've lost confidence in myself," Daisy admitted, her tears still quietly flowing.

"I can assure you that you'll become a formidable werewolf. You must rebuild your confidence, Daisy. Please dress up and join your sisters. It's a party hosted by the Alpha King, an invitation no one should decline. Whether mated or not, werewolf or human, everyone is encouraged to attend, Daisy. Remember, your father was a powerful werewolf before his passing, and I truly believe you have inherited that strength just like your sisters, Daisy." Charlotte explained, wiping the tears off Daisy's face.

"All right, Mother. Thank you for your comforting words," Daisy replied, regaining her composure. "Let me get ready and join you," she added.

Charlotte nodded and smiled at Daisy before gracefully exiting the room. "We're all looking forward to your presence, Daisy," Charlotte called out as she closed the door behind her. Daisy couldn't shake the feeling that her sisters and everyone else might not be thrilled about her joining them at the party. Her mother is all she has left after the death of her father. She will be turning twenty-two years old in a few months, but she hasn't sensed her wolf since she was seventeen, the normal age when wolves are supposed to shapeshift.

She has two strong sisters who are werewolves and found their mates, but hers is different. She didn't know where everything had gone wrong, but she still wanted to forget everything now and prepare for the party. Daisy selected the most exquisite dress from her wardrobe, a stunning blue gown. She adorned her neck with some carefully chosen jewelry. Despite not being a wolf, she was determined to make an effort to look beautiful for the evening ball. Applying a touch of red pigment from the leaves to her lips, she completed her dressing with the flowery shoes her mother had gifted her a few weeks ago. Closing the door to her room, Daisy joined her sisters and mother in the spacious room, where they eagerly awaited her.

Each of them was dressed in a unique outfit that complemented their skin tones and eyes.

"Mother, I didn't know Daisy would be coming with us," Mirabella, the eldest sister, asked, frowning with a deep scowl. Charlotte had to remind her eldest daughter in front of everyone that Alpha King had invited everyone to the party. Mirabella didn't add any more comments as they walked out of the room and headed towards the palace. Daisy walked behind her mother as she folded her hands together. The village was already flooded with beautiful lanterns floating in the air, and the moon was out, but it was a crescent moon. The full moon bathes the town in its silvery glow. The local carriage parked in front of their house, and they all hopped in.

Daisy's siblings were busy discussing how the party was going to be and the blissful moments they would have with their friends after the party. When they entered the palace, both humans and werewolves were present, and the palace walls were painted gray with a mixture of white. A statue of a wolf stood beside the palace gate.

When they got inside the hall filled with people, the ceilings were adorned with beautiful chandeliers and burning lanterns, casting a warm glow that embraced the hall, making it look more enchanting and mesmerizing.

The girls giggled among themselves, and the people were busy talking with one another in the hall.

Daisy's sisters were approached by their mates, and they began to talk while Daisy stood in one corner with her mother. Gentle music played in the background, and everyone began to dance. The soothing music eased Daisy's heart and mind. She found herself swaying to the music alone. Almost everyone in the village knew she was a weak wolf who couldn't shapeshift, and they couldn't approach her because they saw her as bad luck. Lost in her world, oblivious to everything around her, she didn't even realize she was already among the people dancing until she suddenly felt someone pull her from behind, making her twirl to face the figure.

She could tell it was a male from the texture of the hands holding her waist and the broad chest pressed into hers. "Mi Lord," she started, only to look up, and her eyes met the brown orbs of the man before her. His eyes were burning like a volcano, and judging by his appearance, she could see he was from a strong werewolf pack. His brown eyes stare at her as if sizing her up to check something. His full, pink lips curled up into a smirk. His long, dark eyelashes threw Daisy into a trance state. She was enchanted by his handsomeness. This man before her was undoubtedly handsome, and he looked to be in his late twenties.

"Mi lord, you cannot hold a young and unmarried woman." She muttered when she managed to find her voice back. Looking at the man, it felt as if her soul had been ripped out of her body. Her heartbeat accelerated.

Daisy was stunned that she hadn't stuttered. He leaned in, his lips nearing her hair as he pulled her closer, the rhythmic thudding of her heart echoing in her chest as she grappled with the right words.

"A fragile human like you couldn't be my destined mate. Humans are delicate, aging swiftly, fated to dissipate like a mere speck of dust," he declared before releasing her waist.

Chapter 3 His long-awaited fated luna

Daisy found herself thrown off balance by the words uttered by the mysterious man before her. "His mate?" she pondered, perplexed by the notion that this handsome stranger would recognize her as such, especially when she couldn't even sense her wolf at all.

"What do you mean, I'm your mate?" She asked, not caring about what he said after. She didn't mind him calling her human, and she was ready to do anything for him if he was her fated mate.

Alex scoffed at her comment, as he couldn't believe great Marvin was wrong this time. How could a weak human be his fated mate, as powerful as he is? He knew the packs would mock him, and the ministers would try every possible way to bring him down. She would only be a threat to him, and he wasn't ready to protect a weak human.

As the music ceased, he caught her scrutinizing him intently, awaiting his response. However, he wasn't prepared to address her question just yet.

Alex felt his wolf communicating with him in silent whispers, urging him to claim her, intensifying the simmering anger within him even further.

Bathed in the warm glow of the burning lanterns, she stared at him with her full pink lips slightly parted, inhaling the air around her. Her long brown hair cascaded down her shoulders, accentuating the feminine curve of the flowing blue dress she wore. His gaze traveled down her body.

A unique, sweet scent enveloped him, weakening his resolve as he stared at her. Alex observed her shock at the revelation, evident in the dilation of her pupils. He turned his back towards her, leaving her question unanswered, and walked away with the determination to restrain his inner desires.

"She is the one. Claim her" A voice said in his head, which he ignored as he walked away from the woman. After regaining her composure, Daisy made her way towards the mysterious man when she noticed him walking away. She held her long dress with her right hand, scanning the crowd for him, but he had already disappeared from her sight.

Daisy stood there, stunned by the way he walked so swiftly, effortlessly evading her wide-eyed gaze. Lost amid the people dancing, she found herself pulled back by her mother, her heart pounding loudly in her chest.

"Daisy, why do you seem lost? Where are you running off to?" Her mother inquired in a calm tone, her voice etched with worry. She dragged Daisy alongside her as they both stood beside the table arranged in the hall, the music resuming its lively melody.

Daisy wiped the sweat off her hands with her dress, her eyes quickly surveying the hall before settling down on a chair, her mother doing the same.

"Mother, I have found my mate," Daisy said in excitement as she hugged her mother tight. Her eyes glowed with excitement, and Charlotte could see this.

"What?" Her mother exclaimed in excitement. "Daisy, your wolf... did your wolf just recognize him?" Her mother asked as she released herself from the embrace.

"Tell me how you got to know Daisy." Daisy became sad at her mother's question, and Charlotte noticed it.

"I didn't sense my wolf, mother, and my wolf didn't sense him." She explained with her hands resting on her thighs.

"Then what happened?" Her mother asked in anticipation.

"He recognized me first. He came to me and told me I'm his fated mate, and..." Daisy stopped abruptly, as she didn't know if she was supposed to tell her mother. The man had told her she could not be his mate because she was weak.

"Where is he, Daisy? We need to see him." She said it quickly, with excitement evident in her voice.

"I was looking for him just now." Her chest rose and fell slowly as she glanced around the hall.

"Stay calm, Daisy. He will come back to you. Two married people can never be separated. He is your destined mate, your soulmate," her mother reassured. Daisy made every effort to calm her nerves and relax, but restlessness still consumed her. She needed to see him again and confirm. Although Daisy never participated in the training sessions where her sisters were in their wolf form, When her sisters would spar and learn about wolves and their power, she immersed herself in countless books about werewolves. She was determined to learn as much as possible before her eventual shape-shifting.

She relaxed a bit, but she couldn't shake off the memory of the look he had in his brown orbs, as if he were disappointed with her, much like everyone else.

"All right, Mother." She replied, "Now join others and dance; he might even be looking for you now," Charlotte said before leaving Daisy to cater for herself.

After several minutes of dancing, trying to see if she would see the man again, Daisy couldn't find the man who claimed to be her fated mate. She walked through the hall and searched every nook and cranny, but she found none.

A wolf howled outside the hall, and the music stopped. Everyone went to their respective seats and waited patiently for the main event. The right-hand man of the king, Silas Stone, the strongest Beta in Blackwood with exceptional strength, walked towards the stage at the front of the hall. Standing tall before everyone in the hall, his blue eyes shone differently as he gave everyone a mesmerizing smile.

"People of Blackwood, let's rejoice because today we are not only celebrating our Lycan King's reign in the kingdom." Everyone clapped their hands and paid keen attention as they awaited the rest of the information.

"The king has found his long-awaited Fated Luna!" Silas declared it aloud for everyone to hear. Jubilation filled the air as they all clapped their hands together. Almost everyone becomes curious in the hall as they await who their Luna is.

"Let's rise to our feet as we welcome the King and the fated Luna of Blackwood!" The lights dimmed as everyone stood up from their seats. Daisy was sitting beside her mother and sisters when Silas made the announcement. All eyes were fixed on the entrance as two figures emerged from the wide-opened door of the hall. Petals of flowers were scattered on the floor as the two figures entered.

Daisy was happy, as everyone in the kingdom knew the Lycan King had been deprived of a mate since he ascended the throne. Every lady was awed at the beauty of the king; he was undoubtedly handsome in the blue coat that trailed down his body. They all smiled as the background flute began to play. The two couples walked up the podium, and the bright glow from the chandelier on the ceiling shone on them.

Daisy's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as she saw the man under the warm glow of one of the chandeliers. His brown eyes locked with hers in the hall as she locked eyes with him, unable to say or utter a word. Her heart thudded in her chest as dread filled her heart.

The same man who came to her pulled her closer to him and even whispered in her ears. Her fated mate was the king, King Alex Sullivan, the Alpha King of Blackwood.

"Let us pay our respects to King Alex Sullivan and his destined partner, Ivy Hawthorne." Silas declared for everyone to hear.
