The Love Which Was Never Forgotten

Vincent POV

"Bro, Valerie on your left side." Axel spoke while looking at the left side of our school's parking lot. I slowly turned my head towards the left side to see Valerie.

She is with her gang, laughing when her best friend Paul leaned down to share a personal joke. I hate that kid with every bone in my body. I pulled the cigar to my lips and took an inhale and exhaled the smoke while glancing at them. She looked lovely as always taking my breath away every time she laughs.

In school to everyone, we both are childhood rivals and neighbours who can hit each other when we are in the same room.

That's true, that we used to fight a lot and hate each other but that thing changed when I was in ninth grade. I feel in love with her, she is the first girl on whom I had my first crush.

But no-one knows about that. Except for my best friends, they treat her as their sister and she treats them as her brothers.

Adria, my Adria! I call her as Adria as it is her middle name. We both know each other from kindergarten, she is my neighbour and my mom's favourite girl which is why I used to hate her when I was a kid because whenever she comes to my home to play with my sister. My whole family forget about me. All they do is admire their favourite girl.

We both used to fight a lot, used to prank. I don't know how she changed from a tomboy to a beautiful girl.

The first time I felt something for a girl is when I saw her in a beautiful white frock holding the flower basket at her brother's wedding. She looked so beautiful with her hair left open.

I fell in love with her and started being good around her which she felt weird. I chuckled remembering that day. When she made a face when I helped her with groceries.

When other boys at school tried to talk to her all I used to see red, the next moment I see the guy who talked with her laying down with a broken nose.

As if she perceived eyes on her she peered into my direction. I gave her a small grin to which she smiled a little before looking away. My little Adria

She is a tiger and also a kitten. I love when she gets angry on me it's like the hidden tiger comes out. I love to irritate her just so to watch her fight with me. She is a junior, which I don't like at all as our class schedule will be different though she is in advance classes. My girl got brains and a dirty tongue which I only know.

Not everyone knows about us as we don't want everyone to know about us. We both belong to two different chains of the school system, Adria is one of the golden people of the school while I'm at the bottom of that chain along with my boys. It's not because I fight with everyone, the fact is I rarely talk with anyone, I don't like to speak with others other than Adria or my boys.

Everyone in the school fears me and my boys. We don't mingle with others and stay out of all the school activities. They know not to mess with us.

"It's time to attend the class." Axel said while pulling brad with him. I glanced at Adria to see her already staring at my direction.

I nodded my head, she smiled at me and walked away before anyone sees us.

"I don't understand why you both behave like strangers in the school?" brad questioned looking at Adria who is walking to her class.

"You know right Valerie's family is strict and they don't like Vincent. She is a junior and none in the school are friends with us. To top it vincent have more enemies. He doesn't want to risk Valerie's safety by making their relationship public." Axel stated. I smiled because the boys are like brothers. I know Axel and celeb from my childhood just like Adria, I met brad when I was ten years old. He used to stay in our house but shifted to his apartment in the tenth grade. Brad is very close to me, I'm always worried about him as that kid faced many problems when he was just a kid.

We four went to our classes, celeb is the merit one among us. He and Adria teach us the subjects when we have exams. We never cared about what the teacher is saying. We are here just for attendance sake.

When lunch rolled in, we went to the canteen. Our school's canteen is pretty good. We went to our table and I know everyone is observing our movements. This is the daily thing, they know not to mess with us but they are eager to know about our lifestyle and what we do.

I put on my sunglasses because we sit outside but we get a clear view of indoors. I looked at my girl who is eating her food without any care. She is always a foodie girl, brad and celeb went to the counter to bring food.

"You know it's creepy seeing you watch your girl with glasses on." Axel remarked teasingly.

"Shut up."

I saw the Paul kid approaching, he sat down beside Adria but today he sat imminent to her. The girls in the gang are saying something to Paul to do. Even brad and celeb eyed them while reaching to our table.

Brad raised a brow at me but they can't see my eyes. And all of sudden the Paul kid kissed my girl on the cheek making me stand up. Adria's wide optics met mine. I slammed my fist on the table shattering it.

Everyone turned their heads to our direction. I assailed out of there as my anger reached its peak, I don't like it when male species touch Adria and seeing him kissing her just fueled my anger. I saw Adria scolding that Paul kid.

Vincent POV

"Babe?" Adria called but I ignored her.

"I don't know that he was going to kiss me, the girls and others were playing truth and dare. He got a dare to kiss me." she said but I kicked the bag hard neglecting her.

She sneaked into my room as always and trying to soothe me down but I couldn't digest the fact that he kissed her.

"Okay then, I am leaving enjoy with your boxing bag!" she spun away to jump out of the window. Before she could walk away I pulled her by her arm.

"Who gave you permission to leave?" I ordered her looking into her chocolate brown eyes. Which are now glaring at me.

"I don't need anyone's approval and you are ignoring me. You clearly know I hate when you ignore me!" she quietly shouted because my sister is sleeping in the room beside mine.

"You clearly know how I hate that Paul kid but you befriend him."

"Babe, we both were friends from fifth grade. How can I unfriend him." she said hugging me. I wrapped my arms around her waist. She is quite short compared to me.

"You know how possessive I am when it comes to you, I don't even like boys talking to you and that bastard kissed what is mine." I said getting angry.

"Hubby, I am only yours and leave that kid alone. His lips did even touched my cheek." she said looking at me.

"You know I really need my kiss now." she said before standing on her tiptoes to kiss me. I pulled her close when our lips met. I always love to hold her and kiss her forever.

She is the only girl I ever had my eyes on. She is the first girl who caught my eye and my first love.

Her lips are soft like rose petals making me suck on them as if my life depends on them. I lifted her off the ground and she instantly wrapped her legs around my torso. We pulled away before it becomes more intense. I pulled her into my bed with her favourite snacks.

I tugged her close to me giving her a chips packet. She put her leg in between mine before she started saying about how her new math teacher is. We talked about things what we did today and about random stuff while eating our snacks.

"You don't like her teaching?" I asked her drawing circles on her arm.

"She is very slow, it makes people sleep. We are lacking the syllabus and she isn't helping."

"Then why don't you people complain? the suggestion box is there and everyone in your class sign the paper and threw them in the suggestion box." I suggested to her.

"That's a good idea."

"How was school?" I asked her.

"It was boring, the language class was okay I guess."

Our daily nights are like this, her room is exactly opposite to mine. Which means we both can easily sneak into each other's room without anyone knowing.

We sometimes sit in our rooms and talk while looking at each other. Then at nights, she would come to my room to sleep with me.

She returns back to her room in the morning at 5:00 am. We both are not morning persons but we wake up soon so that we don't get caught.

"Hubby, you really gonna marry me?!" she asked me out of nowhere.

"Here I thought I already made you my wife." I said her teasingly.

She blushed before saying "I am serious."

I exhaled before tugging her head down on my chest, "one day we don't have to sneak out to be with each other, not worry about others, we will marry in the same church where I first time felt something for you, we would move into our own house, with a swimming pool in the backyard and a beautiful garden. we will bake cookies together and prepare food, I will sing songs for you all day. I will do all the work when you are pregnant, I will bring everything you need. I will pamper you like a baby before our babies born." I said.

"Aye, you won't pamper me when our kids are born? That's unfair." she responded cutely. I chuckled.

"No wifey, I will take care of you like a queen you are, we both will raise our three kids, we will teach them singing and dancing, we will be a happy family." I said kissing her forehead. She gave me a huge smile before hugging me.

"Pinky promise?!" she urged me holding her pinky finger.

"Pinky promise!" I said chuckling.

"I love you hubby!" she said kissing my lips.

"I love you too my tiger." I said.

I started stroking her hair and she fell asleep hugging me.

"I promise baby girl I will never think of a family with any girl other than you." I said kissing her forehead before closing my eyes. I can't imagine a life without her, she is mine and I'm hers. I planned out my future with her and I don't want any changes in that. I want to live my life with her in a medium-size home which is sufficient to us. I want to wake up every morning with her in my arms, thats all I ask the god. I just us to be together.

"What we gonna do when we grow up?" she questioned.

"We will probably live in our house or studio making music or feeding you."

"That sounds good."

"You have any plans?"

"I just want to be with you and wander cities with you if we have adequate money." she said.

"I will take you to all the places you wanted to go." I said patting her hair. I already started amassing money for our future when I confessed my feelings to her. I know we will be having dead-end bills to pay, I don't want to have any pressure of tomorrow and stress her. I started saving money so that we could live a better future together.

Vincent POV

"Babe, wake up it's 5:14 am." I said trying to wake up Adria.

"No, let me sleep for some time." she said caressing my chest.

"Okay then, let your mom know that you are not in your room." I said controlling my laugh when she got up instantly. There was drool on her face and her hair is a mess but still, she looked as beautiful as ever.

"Ewww!" she said brushing the drool off her face.

"Aren't you adorable?" I said pinching her cheeks.

"Only you will say that looking at me in this avatar."

"I am lucky to see you like this every day then." I told which made her smile.

"Aren't you the best boyfriend." she said kissing my cheek.

"Now go, your mom is awake I guess." I said which made her eyes wide.

"Shit!" she said before running towards the window. I slept for some time knowing she would also do the same thing. Our school starts at 9:00 am.

"Vincent! Get up you are late." I heard my mom's voice.

"I am up." I said getting up. I walked towards the bathroom. After getting ready for school, I heard my phone ring. I looked at the screen to see Adria is calling.

"Hello?"

"Get your ass down in five seconds, emergency!" she stated and dropped the call. Strange I thought before getting down the stairs to go outside.

I saw Adria standing along with her mom. I acted as if I am going to school. When I was about to open my car door I heard Adria's mom's voice.

"Vincent, if there is no problem can you give Valerie a lift to school?".

"I don't wanna go with that dick-head." Adria complained with a fake frown on her face.

"Valerie! Language!" her mom scolded her. I raised my brow at her. When her mom turned to me, Adria gave me a smirk. I hide my smile.

"No problem aunty, I will drop her." I said.

Her mother gave me a smile before telling Adria to behave. I always respected Adria's mother, she is a very independent woman and a great mother. But her family members don't like me because of my bad habits and my friend circle.

I left the car door open for her before going to my side I don't want my mom or hers to see that gesture. She got into the car and buckled her seat belt. I waited for my sister to bring my bag. I saw her walking towards me with a frown on her face. When she saw Adria, there was a surprising look on her face.

"Hey! Valerie." she said to Adria.

"Hey, girl!" Adria greeted back.

"You with my brother huh?" my sister asked her making me groan.

"Yeah, thinking about how to kill him in the car." Adria joked winking at my sister. Which made both of them laugh. Adria is loved by my whole family which I am happy.

"If your chit-chat is over, can I start the car."I said.

"I will come over today and we will have a sleepover like old days as my parents are going to pops home." Adria said.

I started driving the car, "you are not having a sleepover."

"What? No, I will have." she argued.

"Then what about me?" I asked her.

"What about you? You can also join the sleepover as you remember we all sleep in the living room."

"No, everyone will come if you are coming home, I can't sleep beside you. Ava and Olivia will sleep beside you." I said because that's true every time she comes for a sleepover it turns into a family night, everyone will be present in the living room watching a movie then sleeping there on the makeshift mattress.

One thing which I love most about Adria is that right from her childhood she always said that my family is her second family and she always makes everyone laugh in my home.

"Babe, sing a song for me." she said.

"Which one?"

"Photograph."

She knows my passion for music. She always loved when I sang a song for her. I am planning to enrol in a music academy after my high school or start recording my own music. I intertwined my fingers with hers before I started singing the song.

I kissed her hand before pulling towards the gates. I stopped my car so that Adria can step out.

"Bye hubby, I love you." she said giving me a kiss.

"Bye love, take care, tell that Paul kid to stay away." I said.

"Yup!"

"I am serious Adria, don't do something stupid." I said.

She gave me a thumbs-up before going out and started walking towards the school. I dropped her outside because I don't want to make her uncomfortable when people ask questions.

I drove inside saw the boys standing there with a smile.

We did the bro hugs, "sleepover in my home." I said.

"Is it compulsory?" celeb asked.

"Queen's order, " I said and they quickly nodded their heads. It was long back that they spoke with Adria. We got into our class.

When it was the third period my phone vibrated. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to see a message from Adria.

"You have a singing class after school?"-Mrs Morris.

"Yup and you have a dance class after school hours."-Vincent.

"Yup and pick me up."-Mrs Morris.

"Your wish will be granted malady." -Vincent.

After the class, I walked towards the canteen to see Adria sitting between her girls giving no chance for that Paul kid to sit beside her. I sat down beside Axel. I took out the box which Adria gave me.

"Is that a lunch box, what did you bring?" celeb asked me.

"Yeah, a chicken sandwich made by Adria" I said.

She actually packed four sandwiches knowing clearly boys would also eat. I gave each of them one. They always loved her cooking.

I looked at her table to see her laughing at what her friend said. Adria don't have any close friend. She always trusts few people and she doesn't like any girl in her squad and school. The only people with whom she is herself is me, ava and the boys.

"Are you going to come home bro?" I asked brad who is looking distant.

"I will." he answered.

"Good, mumma and dad asked you. They miss you man, come home often. You know about them right? how worried they get when they don't see your face."

"I will talk to them. I know I didn't come these days, they are worried about me." He replied eating his sandwich.

"Celeb tell your mumma that you will be staying in my home."

"I already messaged her that I will be going to your home after school."

"Cool."
