Chapter 1 1

Chapter 1

The werewolf town in Bradford was surprisingly cold today. Large snowflakes were falling on the treetops silently, and the snow on the ground was almost half a meter thick. Although werewolves were physically stronger than humans, the residents in the small town still made fireplaces to keep warm like the latter.

The Rodriguez family was getting ready for lunch.

Suddenly, a shrill scream pierced the peace of winter.

Hearing the woman's scream, everyone rushed upstairs.

"Novia, what's wrong?"

Novia Jones Rodriguez was Omar Rodriguez's wife, and they had been married for only one year. Now, her eyes were scarlet, and her face was sad and desperate.

Seeing she could hardly stand still, Omar hurried forward to support her and worriedly said with a frown, "Novia?"

Novia's face was pale, and her shoulders were slightly trembling. She burst into tears when sadly looking at the baby on the bed with a purple face who had long died.

"Little Moony, don't I treat you well enough? How could you cruelly kill your half-brother? He was less than three months old!"

Hearing her words, everyone was shocked and turned to look at the five-year-old girl standing by the window.

She was wearing a white dress, and her curly blond long hair was hanging over her shoulders. She nervously looked at everyone with her blue eyes and held the brown bear in her arms in fear.

Omar showed a serious face. When he sniffed at the dead baby, he scented Little Moony's smell on its neck. So, he yelled at her with a frown, "You bastard! How can you be so ruthless? He is your half-brother!"

"No! I did not do it!"

Little Moony had never seen people staring at her with murderous gazes, so she nervously bit her lips. Her face turned pale when she said in horror, "Novia asked me to enter the room to play with the baby. When I came in, he was lying on the bed motionlessly."

Novia collapsed in Omar's arms and said with tears in her eyes, "Honey, don't blame Little Moony. She is still young, so she doesn't understand it. Maybe she didn't mean to hurt the baby. She is just afraid he would share our love for her."

Her words convicted Little Moony of the "crime"!

Omar helped Novia who was weeping sit on the sofa, turned around, and walked toward Little Moony with a sullen face.

Then, he grabbed her arm, brutally dragged her into the yard, slapped her on the head, pulled out the belt around his waist, and slashed her hard.

Little Moony grimaced in pain. She shrank her neck in fear, tightly hugged the brown bear, and pursed her lips without saying a word, although her white dress was stained with blood.

When Omar was tired, he grabbed her arm and threw her into the corner, saying, "Admit your guilt! Damn it! Golden Pack has never had a vicious person like you before!"

Little Moony frowned in pain. She struggled to get up from the ground, wiped off the blood from the corner of her lips, and stubbornly looked at Omar with her tearful big eyes, saying, "I didn't kill him! I..."

Before she could finish speaking, Omar slapped her in the face.

"You little bastard! Before you plead guilty, you will reflect on yourself outside!"

He kicked her hard, so she fell to the ground again. Then, he gave her several more kicks to force her out of the gate, saying, "Kneel at the gate to atone for your sin!"

Then, he turned around and slammed the door shut.

Little Moony tremblingly knelt in the snow in a thin white dress with bloodstains all over her body. But she tightly pursed her lips, neither begging for mercy nor crying.

When snowflakes fell, the chilly wind blew on her and made her skin sting.

She tightly hugged the bear and carefully rubbed its ear with her uninjured cheek for fear of soiling it. After all, it was the only thing her mother had left to her.

It was cold.

She had not killed the baby! Why didn't anyone believe her?

Time flew, and it soon got dark.

Sick snow covered Little Moony's legs, shoulders, and head. And even her eyelashes were covered with a layer of hoarfrost.

She rubbed her red hands, pursed her lips, looked at the closed door, and lightly patted the snow off her body.

She was hungry. No one knew she hadn't eaten anything for a day and a night.

She touched her empty stomach and murmured, "Mom, I am hungry."

Her mother had passed away a year ago. And her father soon found a new mate and married her. Not long after, her stepmother had given birth to a cute baby.

But her stepmother was not kind. She often beat and scolded her when no one was around but treated her very well when there was someone else around. Little Moony thought there might be a demon living in her body.

"Kneel at the gate to atone for your sin!"

Recalling her father's roar, Little Moony tried her best to open her eyes. Her little face was blue from the cold, and her body was uncontrollably trembling. So, she fell into a trance.

She raised her head and let out a sad cry, "Mom, I didn't kill the baby! I won't plead guilty! Aww!"

She was uncomfortable, feeling she was dying.

Would she see her mother after she died?

Little Moony was dizzy. Suddenly, she uncontrollably fell to the ground. Lying quietly in the snow, she weakly opened her eyes to look at the full moon above her head.

Was Moon Goddess looking at her?

"Moon Goddess, can you please take me to meet my mother?"

However, a dark cloud came over and quickly covered the moon.

Little Moony felt her eyelids getting heavier, so she slowly closed her eyes.

Suddenly, a strange voice said, "Little Moony, focus on your spiritual consciousness! Use the mind link to ask your grandfather for help!"

Little Moony's consciousness was blurred, but she still did as the voice had said, focused on her spiritual consciousness, and called for help with the mind link.

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Alpha Craig Garcia was lecturing his sons at an oval dining table in a luxurious old manor which was the power center of Golden Pack.

"Beau, I heard you went to the bar and hung out with girls until late at night. Didn't I tell you not to mess around with girls?"

Hearing this, the brothers exchanged glances with each other. They feared Craig would target them, so they all tacitly kept silent.

Beau touched his nose in embarrassment and explained in a faint voice, "Dad, I did it for art."

He had gotten excited when talking about the score of a piece of classical music with some music students, so he had stayed at the bar all night.

Beau was Craig's youngest son and was handsome. Beau liked music and photography and was talented in art.

"How dare you argue with me!" Craig snapped while glaring at him.

But he suddenly changed the topic, asking, "It's been six years! Haven't found Myra?"

The brothers had been relaxed. Hearing his words, they suddenly became serious, kept silent, and buried their heads in shame.

Craig sat on the main seat with a sullen face, banged on the table with his palm, and reprimanded his quintuplet sons, saying, "Six years! You haven't found her after six years! She was pregnant back then. I even dare not to think about her current situation..."

Hearing this, the quintuplets did not dare to raise their heads and couldn't help thinking of the war six years ago.

Their eldest brother Donald Garcia and sister-in-law Myra used to be the Alpha and Luna of Golden Pack.

In the battle six years ago, they had fought against a powerful vampire family for seven days to protect the werewolf world. Although they had defeated the enemies, Donald had died in the battle, and Myra had gone missing.

Over the years, they had searched all the places where she might go but had not found her. They had even taken the risk and entered vampires' territory several times but had not gotten any information about her. She seemed to have disappeared from the world. They searched everywhere but couldn't find her.

To make matters worse, Myra had been pregnant back then. After so many years, they didn't know whether she was alive or whether their eldest brother's child had been born.

The quintuplets at the age of twenty-five were depressed now.

They missed their elder brother and were eager to find their sister-in-law.

The more Craig thought about the sacrifices Donald and Myra had made, the sadder and angrier he became.

Seeing the quintuplets remain silent, he got even more furious.

So, he stood up, glared at his sons with his blue eyes, and loudly cursed, "You are nothing but trash!"

The five pieces of trash didn't dare to speak, so they lowered their heads in self-reproach.

Craig frowned angrily and pointed at them. When he was about to continue cursing them, he suddenly heard a soft cry for help in the sea of his consciousness.

"Are you my grandfather Old Alpha Craig? I am Little Moony, and my mommy is Myra. I feel cold. And I haven't eaten anything for an entire day. Grandpa, I didn't kill the baby, but they don't believe me. My father asked me to kneel at the gate to atone. But it is snowing heavily. Grandpa, I feel uncomfortable. Could you please come to save me?"

The girl's voice became increasingly weak and disappeared in the end.

Craig was shocked to hear her words and quickly replied with his spiritual power, "Where are you now?"

"I'm in Bradford. Omar Rodriguez's house..."

Suddenly, the link went dead.

Craig abruptly stood up with a deep frown.

The quintuplets exchanged glances with each other, wondering why he showed such an expression.

Meeting their confused gazes, Craig didn't know how to explain. But he was sure the person who had been talking to him was Myra's daughter. It was his granddaughter! He had such an intuition because of the spiritual connection between him and his granddaughter!

He had no time to explain, so he waved his hand and said, "All of you, go to save a person with me!"

It had heavily snowed all night.

Omar's family was in an extremely sad and depressed atmosphere.

Novia sadly leaned on his shoulder with her son's favorite toy in her hand, sobbing softly.

Seeing her red eyes, Omar suddenly flew into a rage. So, he abruptly stood up and said, "I'll go see if that little bastard is willing to admit her guilt now!"

Suddenly, the phone in the living room rang.

Omar turned around, walked to the phone, and picked it up.

The town chief said on the phone, "Omar, I'm sorry for your loss."

Then, he changed his tone and seriously warned, "But I heard Old Alpha Craig and his quintuplets will come to our town. I hope you can deal with your family matter properly. Don't let Little Moony kneel at the gate anymore. We don't want Old Alpha Craig to know such a scandal because it will affect the image of our town."

He cared more about whether he could be promoted smoothly than the image of the town!

Omar cursed in his heart but said with a smile, "Yes, sir. I will deal with this matter as soon as possible."

After hanging up the phone, he pushed the door open with a frown and saw Little Moony motionlessly curl up on the ground.

Her beautiful long blond hair was buried in the snow, her toes were red from the cold, her small face was abnormally flushed, and her eyelashes were covered with snowflakes.

And she pursed her lips while tightly holding the little brown bear, looking pitiful and helpless.

Omar frowned at her unbelievably pretty face despite her discomfiture and thought of the woman he had picked up six years ago.

Little Moony resembled her very much.

When he had met the woman in a mess in the deserted valley, she had been covered with injuries. But her face was as beautiful as that of the Moon Goddess. So, he had instantly fallen in love.

He had been so obsessed with her that he had brought her home. After getting along with her for a few days, he found she had lost her memory and been pregnant. But he had still been in love with her and decided to marry her.

In retrospect, he thought he should not have been so stupid back then. How could he have married a woman of unknown background?

As for Little Moony...

Omar's face became gloomier when he strode up to her and kicked her belly without hesitation.

The pain woke Little Moony up.

She frowned, softly groaned in pain, hugged the little bear in her arms, and struggled to open her eyes.

Seeing Omar's cold face, Little Moony stubbornly pursed her lips. Thinking of what he had said before leaving last night, she couldn't help explaining in a faint voice, "I didn't kill the baby..."

"How dare you lie!"

Chapter 3

Her words reminded him how his son had tragically died young, so he flew into a rage and kicked her hard.

After Little Moony flew forward for nearly one meter, her head hit the wall heavily, and blood instantly gushed out.

She groaned in pain, tilted her head, and passed out.

Omar's face became serious. The chief had specially made a call to warn him not to cause any trouble today.

If Little Moony died...

He swallowed hard and walked over to check her breath.

Confirming she was still breathing weakly, he couldn't help snorting, thinking she was indeed hardy.

He grabbed her by her clothes and dragged her back home.

The officer had told him not to make trouble outside but could not blame him for punishing his daughter at home.

Omar dragged the fainted girl to the kennel in the corner where a lazy dog was sleeping.

Standing in front of the kennel, he commanded with a serious face, "Milk, come out."

Milk lazily raised its eyes to glance at him and slowly walked out.

Omar stepped forward, threw Little Moony into the kennel, kicked the door shut, and locked it, saying, "Little beast, wait for death in the kennel alone!"

Then, he entered the house with the dog.

The kennel was pitch-black, and the stench constantly irritated Little Moony's nose.

She moved her fingers and opened her eyes with difficulty, realizing this was Milk's room.

She covered her small nose with her hand, but the stench kept getting into her nose. She was wet all over, and her nose was full of the unpleasant smell of the dog. And she had a severe headache and felt extremely uncomfortable, yearning for fresh air.

So, she crawled to the door and pushed it hard. But she failed to open it, suffered severe abrasions to her fingers, and even bled.

She tightly pursed her lips and pushed the door with all her strength. But the door remained motionless until she was exhausted.

She then lay in the kennel in pain and yelled in despair.

Suddenly, that strange voice said again, "Little Moony, ask your grandpa for help!"

Little Moony blinked, wiped the blood off her face with her fingers, gathered her consciousness, and used the mind link to call her grandpa for help.

"Grandpa, hurry up to save me. He locked me in the kennel at the door. It stinks. I can't breathe..."

Old Alpha Craig was rushing to Bradford when hearing her call for help again.

Hearing her weak voice, he showed a gloomy face and urged the driver, saying, "Hurry up! Drive faster!"

The snow in front of Omar's house was thick. But as soon as the car stopped, Craig smelt blood under the snow. He suddenly narrowed his eyes and looked at the blood on the wall, knowing it was Little Moony's.

Craig pursed his lips and kicked open the door.

Seeing him angrily striding in, the quintuplets sensed something wrong, so they all followed in with sullen faces.

After entering the yard, Craig immediately walked to the kennel in the corner, picked up the iron chain as thick as a baby's arm, and put forth to sever it.

The quintuplets were confused until they saw the little girl lying in the kennel at her last gasp.

Her white dress was covered with blood and mud, and she was lying prone at the entrance with blood on both hands.

Her face was pale. If her eyelashes had not occasionally trembled, they would have thought she had...

Craig was shocked to see this. He rushed over and carefully carried the bruised girl out of the kennel.

Little Moony weakly opened her eyes and quietly looked at Craig with her blue eyes. Two seconds later, she pouted her lips, affectionately rubbed her nose against his chest, and asked, "Are you my grandpa?"

Her soft and cute voice made Craig's heart soften, so he showed a rare loving smile on his serious face.

Now, he was sure Little Moony was his granddaughter because she had the smell of her parents.

Moreover, Little Moony resembled her mother very much. And her blue eyes looked the same as those of her father's.

Little Moony had perfectly inherited the advantages of her parents in appearance, but the wound on her forehead was unpleasant to look at!

Craig suppressed his anger and lightly patted her. He was afraid of scaring her, so he softly said, "Little Moony, may I ask your Uncle Glenn to check your injuries?"

Glenn was a talented doctor well-known in the werewolf world, and Craig did not trust other doctors but him.

Little Moony felt pain all over. She widened her eyes and looked at Craig in a daze. After all, no one had talked to her so gently since her mother had passed away.

Was this person with a gentle smile her grandfather?

It was great! Her grandfather would treat her well in the future.

She lightly nodded, "Okay."

Seeing her nodding, Craig gently handed her into Glenn's hands.

The quintuplets had not understood Craig's intentions until seeing Little Moony. No wonder he had eagerly hurried to this town.

At one glance, they had recognized the bruised little girl as the child of their eldest brother and long-missing sister-in-law!

After all, she smelt very familiar! Their sister-in-law had gone missing for several years but had given birth to this girl!

Glenn took over Little Moony who was covered in blood with trembling hands. Craig frowned at her injuries, hurriedly took off his coat, and spread it on the snow so that Glenn could check her injuries more conveniently.

Glenn carefully placed her on the coat and began to examine her.

Little Moony weakly looked at the worried faces around her, feeling as if dreaming.

Seeing her look at them in disbelief, the men all felt distressed and almost shed tears, wondering what torture she had suffered.

While checking Little Moony's injuries, Glenn became more and more serious.

Seeing his stern expression, the others all felt a sting in their heart.

Beau eagerly asked, "What's wrong? Tell us!"

Craig glared at him and scolded in a deep voice, "Shut up! Don't disturb Glenn."

Then, he squatted down to seriously look at Glenn.

After a rough medical check, Glenn frowned, "Little Moony's injuries are serious. What's more, her health has been seriously harmed by long-term starvation and abuse. She must undergo surgery right away!"

Hearing about long-term starvation and abuse, all the other people were shocked.

It turned out Omar and his beast-like family had been abusing their little princess for a long time!

Craig clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and cursed, "Bastard!"

But it was not time to teach Omar a lesson now because they must send Little Moony to the hospital.

Glenn lightly wrapped Craig's coat around Little Moony's body. Meeting her confused eyes, he softly said, "Little Moony, let's go to the hospital now, OK?"

Little Moony was dizzy. When she slowly nodded, she looked very weak.

Glenn picked her up from the snow without hesitation. When he turned around to go out, a man suddenly said, "Are you courting death? How dare you break into my house?"
