The Last Warrior of The Rising Sun ( Book 1 )

In the realm of Aethel, it has four kingdoms named : North Land Pillar Kingdom, South Land Pillar Kingdom, East Land Pillar Kingdom and lastly the West Land Pillar Kingdom. Those four kingdoms have two lands in between The Sunstone is the central capital of North & South and the Starfall Valley of East & West Pillars where the poor people of the kingdoms live separated by the beautiful cities where noble people live.

There's a small house located in the forest in Sunstone Valley. Away from the people in the town capital. A woman in her 50s walking to the path that led to the town. She is holding a basket to buy supplies like food and the necessity of the house. Alone at night she is holding the basket now full of supplies as she heads back to the house located in the center of the forest. While walking the blazing of the wind at night comforts her. In her small steps she is holding a lamp with a candle inside as a light in the dark forest.

"GrandMa!" A woman shouted.

The old woman smiled and waved her hand to the person walking towards her.

"Let me have that." The woman added.

As she grabs the basket and walks beside the old woman. She looked at the person and gave her a flower as she placed it in the ear of the old woman.

"I picked it up awhile ago. I also grab new flowers for the vase inside the house grandma." She informed the old lady.

"That's great Thea. Thank you anak." She said.

"Grandma... What is feel like to live in the South Pillar Kingdom?" She asked.

"I once go there a long time ago. It's so beautiful and peaceful place anak." She said to her granddaughter.

"GrandMa. I want to be a soldier, a warrior!" She opened up.

"You can, it doesn't base on the life status it only matter if you have the skills to be a warrior." The old lady replied.

The woman named Thea nodded her head as she open the door in their small house surrounded by trees. Thea live in her since she was three years old at the young age she doesn't know her parents name or see them. She only have her grandmother since then.

Thea is now twenty five years old together with her grandmother. They live happily despite of being poor or being hate by the town people.

Thea looked at her a tattoo in a wrist hand. the tattoo is there's a white flower with yellow Pullen the flower is growing around the sword and the sword has a gold lining.

My wrist is glowing with a yellow light slowly faded there's a tattoo revealed it's soon beauty. When I hold my wrist where the tattoo suddenly appears I can feel that the sword and the white flower is kind of alive on its own. I was about to look at it closer when I heard my grandma call me from the kitchen.

"Let's me cook the dinner grandma." I said when I went to her side.

"Okay anak. I'll go to my room."

The old lady went inside on her room to continue embroidering the two handkerchief she made.

I heard my grandmother shouted from her room.

"I LOVE YOU THEA. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT!" She said.

I didn't respond but instead I walked inside my room and slept.

- Midnight -

A group of people is walking towards an house in the center of Sunstone Valley. Where the last bloodline of the savior can be seen. When they enter , they only saw an old woman walking outside the house. Without thinking they know who she is and the blood running through her viens. The group of people run towards the old lady and slash the sword they are holding that makes the old lady fall in the ground with blood dropping from the wounds she gets from those people.

I hear a loud noise from outside the house. I heard a footsteps running and a load tud.

I wake up and walk towards the door. I'm still sleepy when I hold the doornob with my eyes is still half close I open the door.

I saw my grandmother lying in the grass, with a lot of blood in her clothes and her face looked so pale. I tried to wake her up and called her name but she didn't response.

Instead she open her eyes one more time and grab my hand and put something in it.

"Run Thea. Run" she whispered before she closed her eyes.

That's my grandmother last word told me to find the sword she give me a piece of paper. I accepted it and run away from the house. I can hear a footsteps from other direction. Because of panic I run towards the cemetery. Then a blue floating flame appeared leading to somewhere without hesitation I followed it. The wild of the blazing night welcome me I can't help but to cry. I opened the piece of paper and I saw a hand written letter or a riddle poem??? What's this..

A realm lies deeply in the shadows,

Its secret keeps it a sword of power.

Its bone hilt, its fire blade,

waits for someone to put out the blaze.

You'll discover bravery shining in crimson

to win over the gloom.

The ability to rule resides on your spoken word, to break spells and lift the curse.

The adversary awakens with delight,

to make land claims that everyone can see.

My grandmother was killed by someone I don't know. Then she gave me this paper with a riddle. I stared at it and read it I was about to take another step when I looked at the surroundings. When I reached the cemetery at the last part of the place I saw a rotten sword buried in the ground.

I think this is what the riddle talk about? I just don't know if I'm making a right decision. All I want right now is to kill the one who killed my grandmother. I don't believe that karma is a bitch. I can be the karma and a bitch.

When I stand closer to it. I saw the blue flame suddenly vanished. I took a deep breath before grabbing the rusty sword and walk away. Actually I don't know where to go, I'll just keep walking until I find a inn where I can stay for the night. It's time to say goodbye to Sunstone Valley. Because tomorrow I will find the one who killed my grandmother and they will face hell in my arms.

The next morning .....

Alone, there's no grandmas who is busy cooking will the first ever I saw every morning. I took a deep breath and grab a bag as I pack some things that can be useful as I left this town. When I close the door of the house I suddenly saw a blue light near the small river meter away from the forest in where we live. I followed it and when I looked at the river I saw a reflection in the water. I saw a young woman with long, light brown or auburn hair, wearing the same white long dress and it looked exactly like me. I was shocked at the moment and when I was about to speak. The blue flame and the reflection of a woman suddenly vanished.

I was walking from the forest for hours now and I feel so tired and exhausted. I finally saw a house not so far away in the place where I am currently standing. I noticed a woman walking in my direction, I took a deep breath and called her attention.

"Hey!" I said.

The woman smiled at me and waved her hands. She stopped in front of me and grabbed something from the basket she was holding.

"Here eat this traveler. Are you looking for a place to stay? She said and handed me two sandwiches and I accepted it.

"Thank you for this, yes! I'm looking for an inn." I replied.

"Oh you went to the wrong place lady. There's no inn here but if you like, you can stay in my house tonight?" She said and she smiled at me again.

"Hi I'm Haylee Sun! You're in The Sunstone Pass! Let's go to my house!!" She said grab my hands without my permission and drag me towards one of the houses in this town.

"The Sunstone Pass??" I asked in confusion.

I grew up alone with my grandmother and I never went far away from the house even the town nearly to us. I never went there because people think I'm a monster.

"You don't know about this place? How about the North Land Pillar Kingdom?" She asked me with her shocked reaction.

"No? What is that??" I innocently asked.

"Omg! Are you a human or even lived here!!" She was frustrated and turned her back at me.

"Yes I'm a human, I'm from Sunstone Valley." I answered.

"Sunstone Valley.... One of the forbidden valleys." She said.

"Okay." I replied.

"Since you didn't know about my town and yet you're from forbidden valley. I totally understand because the people in your town are not allowed to go outside or step away from the town.. There's a magical barrier made by the queen that serves as a boundary in that land to the kingdom." Haylee said.

"Then why am I here?" I asked.

"Why you asking me! I don't know, ask yourself. " She said.

"So you are here in The Sunstone Pass, a small mountain town in between the North and South Pillars. A path connects the two kingdoms." Haylee added.

"Do you know the way to the North Land Pillar Kingdom Haylee?" I asked.

"Yes! I can take you there. I'm heading there tomorrow since the enrollment is the next day. I studied at North Pillar Academy! You keep asking and asking me but I don't know your name." She said.

"I'm Thea Ysabel Sun." I said I handed my hand.

She grabs my hand and we shakehands.

"Wow you have a beautiful name and you're beautiful too!" She compliments me.

"I'll tour you to my house before we go to the room where you will sleep." She said.

"Thanks for letting me stay a night Haylee." I said.

"Can I ask something." I opened up.

She looked at me and waited for my response.

"Can you tell me about the North Land Pillar Kingdom and do you know the blue flame?" I asked.

"You are in our town named Sunstone Pass. between the North and South Pillars. While the North Pillar Kingdom is just near like two days travel? The kingdom was ruled by Queen Anya Sunbloom. She's fierce, and she loves protecting their own people. She was like that after decades after that war."

"Woah." I reacted.

"In your exact town Thea that place is the battleground of the First War of Kingdoms against the Darkness Queen." She responded.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"I actually don't know her name but it starts with the letter Y, that's the rumor I know. Actually you can try to find a book related to the kingdoms inside the academy library.. I'll tour you there!" She said.

"Okay thanks." I replied.

"Do you have another questions?" Haylee asked.

"Yes I have. Do you know the blue flame?"

I said without making an eye contact.

"Not that much. The blue flame symbolizes a connection to the spirit or a powerful ancestor and a manifestation of a curse with both power and danger." Haylee answered.

"I saw a blue flame at the cemetery near our house in Sunstone Valley and I saw this." I replied.

I grab by travel bag and pull out the rusty sword out of it.

"Woah, where did you get that?" Haylee with her shocked emotion as she asked me.

"In the cemetery near our house and my grandmother wrote a note for me." I said handed to her the piece of paper.

She nodded and scan the paper.

"I don't understand or know this riddle answer." She said as she gave it to me back.

"Let's eat our dinner first then we can sleep. Tomorrow is a long journey since it takes two days of travelling before we reach the kingdom." She utter.

"I let you meet my friends!" She excitedly said as she clap her hands and walk towards her room.

"Okay, Goodnight Haylee!" I whispered.

"GOODNIGHT TOO!" She shouted from her room.

I didn't reply and entered my room as I lay down to the bed. It's so exhausting day. I wipe my tear from my eyes.. I miss my grandma and I wish she's here with me. She'd be happy if she knew that I'm going to the kingdom and I will meet a new friends in the academy.

Tomorrow is another day, another hope and another start. I wish to know a lot about our realm and everything. Thanks to Haylee a new friend of mine that will help me and I can benefit from her to get my revenge she might have knowledge about the man with bow and arrow with a black rose in the middle of it.

Who are they and what they want from me? Or maybe they might know my parents for sure. I will hunt them down so right know they might focus on runaway. Because once I start searching for those damn bastards I will show no mercy.

Thea POV.

Early in the morning around four o'clock. Haylee and I have already started walking for hours now since we left her house. We brought four sandwiches and 2 bottled water for our journey heading to the North Land Kingdom. I looked at the woman who was with me the whole trip, she is wearing her blue and white dress and boots while I only wear a plain white t-shirt matching my black pants then boots. She noticed I stared at her.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing. You love traveling or walking? You smiled while looking at your surroundings." I said.

"Yeah, I already used to walk when the academy had a semester break. I went home after a month to go back to the academy." She said when she stood near the flowers she grabbed a flower and handed it to me.

I looked at her confused.

"What for?" I asked staring at the flower she gave me.

"Your beautiful Thea, you actually look like a goddess every time you wear white dress. " She utter

I didn't reply and continued to walk to the forest in front of me.

The whole forest has eerie vibes and the forest is so quiet only my footsteps and Haylee's can be heard. Haylee runs towards me and holds my hands tightly. She signals me to stay quiet as she puts her hand on her lips.

Walking inside a forest alone with Haylee troubles me since I didn't have any weapon with me except the old rusty sword that I brought. We continued to walk until we slowly saw that we were near the forest exit. When suddenly a wolves saw up everywhere in the forest and it looked like they were in a circle.

Haylee is scared right now, since I notice her hands holding my wrists are shaking. I took a deep breath and I don't have a choice. I grab the old rusty sword from my backpack and pointed it towards our front where I think the alpha of the wolves are facing me right now. Look like a hungry wolves ready to eat her prey.

"Haylee." I called her attention.

She looked at me worried and scared can be seen in her face she is pale also.

"I want you to run." I said without hesitation.

"How about you Thea?" She asked me

"I can handle myself." I said give me a smile as an assurance.

I was shocked as she saw me smile then she nodded her head as she agreed on what I told her.

" Run!" I shouted as I face the wolves that surrounded me.

I took a deep breath, and swung the rusty sword to the wolves. But then the wolves walk towards me. I was about to smash the sword to the wolves when another wolf appeared in front of me. The wolf is double the size of the opponent and others. The wolf Infront at me howl. The opponent of the wolves circling me instantly ran away.

I'm standing there speechless from what I witnessed. The wolf in front of me stared into my eyes when all of sudden I heard a voice inside of my head.

"Greetings, Mistress Thea Ysabel Sun. I am known as an Atheist. I'm The Mystical Wolf of Aethel. I pledge my loyalty and service to you, and I await your commands." He utter.

I was about to open my mouth when the wolf named Atheist bowed his head.



The wolf has a thick, flowing mane, almost ethereal fur, and is mostly white or light greyish in color. The wolf's bright, piercing eyes, which are probably light blue or grey, contribute to its majestic and strong aspect. Its vigilant yet gentle posture gives an impression of composed strength. The wolf appears to be a big kind with a strong physique.

"How do you know me Atheist?" I asked.

"You are my mistress, of course I know you. I exist to serve you. Just waiting for a final moment where I can feel your presence. When I smelled the air even if I'm meters away from you. I already know that my mistress is already here." Atheist said.

"Do you have accompany mistress?, I saw a woman away from here looking at us right now." He said.

"Yes, that's my friend. Let's go to her" I said.

While walking towards where Haylee is standing. I saw her running away towards me.

"Thea! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She worriedly asked.

"I'm fine. Atheist helped me." I replied.

"Who's atheist?" She asked.

I simply looked at the mystical wolf sitting beside me while atheist just stare at Haylee.

"WHAT?! YOU MEAN THIS WOLF HAD A NAME? SHE SAVE YOU?! " She looked surprised.

"Yes my lady. I have a name and I'm a male wolf." Atheist said through telepathy.

"Wow. You can talk." Haylee feels amazed at what she observes.

"Yes my lady." He answered.

"Let's continue our journey to the North Academy!" Haylee suddenly changes her mood and starts walking.

"Are you studying mistress?"

Atheist asked me.

"No I just need to go there, since they can help me in my training." I answered.

"Did you bring the sword with your mistress? I can feel its power as you are holding it." He stated.

"This one?" I said as I put the sword in the ground in front of him.

"Yes mistress, that's the sword of the goddess of light also a goddess once a warrior before she was punishment from the supreme gods." He utter.

"I will be with you in each journey or war mistress. Let's head now to the North Kingdom before it gets dark." He said concerned.

I looked at Haylee and said.

"Let's continue our journey, we need to reach at the kingdom before midnight. It might be dangerous for us all."

"Sure Thea, I will lead the way."

Haylee said and walk away.

Thea POV.

"Yeah, I already used to walk when the academy had a semester break. I went home after a month to go back to the academy." She said when she stood near the flowers she grabbed a flower and handed it to me.

I looked at her confused.

"What for?" I asked staring at the flower she gave me.

"Your beautiful Thea, you actually look like a goddess every time you wear white dress. " She utter

I didn't reply and continued to walk to the forest in front of me.

The whole forest has eerie vibes and the forest is so quiet only my footsteps and Haylee's can be heard. Haylee runs towards me and holds my hands tightly. She signals me to stay quiet as she puts her hand on her lips.

Walking inside a forest alone with Haylee troubles me since I didn't have any weapon with me except the old rusty sword that I brought. We continued to walk until we slowly saw that we were near the forest exit. When suddenly a wolves saw up everywhere in the forest and it looked like they were in a circle.

Haylee is scared right now, since I notice her hands holding my wrists are shaking. I took a deep breath and I don't have a choice. I grab the old rusty sword from my backpack and pointed it towards our front where I think the alpha of the wolves are facing me right now. Look like a hungry wolves ready to eat her prey.

"Haylee." I called her attention.

She looked at me worried and scared can be seen in her face she is pale also.

"I want you to run." I said without hesitation.

"How about you Thea?" She asked me

"I can handle myself." I said give me a smile as an assurance.

I was shocked as she saw me smile then she nodded her head as she agreed on what I told her.

" Run!" I shouted as I face the wolves that surrounded me.

I took a deep breath, and swung the rusty sword to the wolves. But then the wolves walk towards me. I was about to smash the sword to the wolves when another wolf appeared in front of me. The wolf is double the size of the opponent and others. The wolf Infront at me howl. The opponent of the wolves circling me instantly ran away.

I'm standing there speechless from what I witnessed. The wolf in front of me stared into my eyes when all of sudden I heard a voice inside of my head.

"Greetings, Mistress Thea Ysabel Sun. I am known as an Atheist. I'm The Mystical Wolf of Aethel. I pledge my loyalty and service to you, and I await your commands." He utter.

I was about to open my mouth when the wolf named Atheist bowed his head.



The wolf has a thick, flowing mane, almost ethereal fur, and is mostly white or light greyish in color. The wolf's bright, piercing eyes, which are probably light blue or grey, contribute to its majestic and strong aspect. Its vigilant yet gentle posture gives an impression of composed strength. The wolf appears to be a big kind with a strong physique.

"How do you know me Atheist?" I asked.

"You are my mistress, of course I know you. I exist to serve you. Just waiting for a final moment where I can feel your presence. When I smelled the air even if I'm meters away from you. I already know that my mistress is already here." Atheist said.

"Do you have accompany mistress?, I saw a woman away from here looking at us right now." He said.

"Yes, that's my friend. Let's go to her" I said.

While walking towards where Haylee is standing. I saw her running away towards me.

"Thea! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She worriedly asked.

"I'm fine. Atheist helped me." I replied.

"Who's atheist?" She asked.

I simply looked at the mystical wolf sitting beside me while atheist just stare at Haylee.

"WHAT?! YOU MEAN THIS WOLF HAD A NAME? SHE SAVE YOU?! " She looked surprised.

"Yes my lady. I have a name and I'm a male wolf." Atheist said through telepathy.

"Wow. You can talk." Haylee feels amazed at what she observes.

"Yes my lady." He answered.

"Let's continue our journey to the North Academy!" Haylee suddenly changes her mood and starts walking.

"Are you studying mistress?"

Atheist asked me.

"No I just need to go there, since they can help me in my training." I answered.

"Did you bring the sword with your mistress? I can feel its power as you are holding it." He stated.

"This one?" I said as I put the sword in the ground in front of him.

"Yes mistress, that's the sword of the goddess of light also a goddess once a warrior before she was punishment from the supreme gods." He utter.

"I will be with you in each journey or war mistress. Let's head now to the North Kingdom before it gets dark." He said concerned.

I looked at Haylee and said.

"Let's continue our journey, we need to reach at the kingdom before midnight. It might be dangerous for us all."

"Sure Thea, I will lead the way."

Haylee said and walk away.
