Michael Hayes grew up as the pack slave. He was born the runt while his twin brother, Hayden, was born to be the Alpha. His parents, the current Alpha and Luna cast him aside so they could focus on making Hayden the Alpha he was born to be. Michae...

Chapter 1

"In all the history of Werewolves," My short overweight, slightly balding history teacher began as the start of the final lesson of the day. Yes, he said "Werewolves". We are in a werewolf school after all. "Mates have been respected above all else, other than the Alpha bond. There has only ever been one recorded instance of a rejection, however the details surrounding the rejection have been lost to our archive since the Killian War."

That was when I zoned out. Being the "nerd" I am, I have already read the entire history textbook. I could ace this class with my eyes closed which I am already sort of doing. I gazed into the forest that lined the skirting of the school grounds that seemed to hold some sort of wonder.

I looked closely wondering what it would feel like to run free in those woods. Without the pack bearing down on me, or without any worries in the world. I wonder what it would feel like. I wonder what anything would feel like really. Sometimes I wonder if casting my emotions aside was really the best thing to do, but then the members of the Greystone pack would find me and make me realize just why I cast them aside in the first place.

I was born the runt of the pack. Smaller and weaker than the rest, but I soon grew in stature but not in power. I was still considered the runt. My father despised me enough to strip me of all titles. In his words, the title of Omega was more than I was worth so he took all titles away from me. I am the only title less wolf in the world. Even Rogues have titles, but not me.

I began to think what would happen later this afternoon as I knew it was time for me to shift. I am turning seventeen at exactly 16:43 this afternoon which meant one of two things. I would shift into my wolf. The second thing is only a possibility. I might or might not find my Mate. I wonder what having a Mate would feel like. Would I feel those spark things that I overhear from everyone. Maybe a new scent would captivate me. But I didn"t think it would happen to me.

I suddenly began to remember my past which took me by surprise since I thought I had suppressed those memories enough to let me live a relatively normal life. It was the day of my first beating.

I was eight. I was bringing the pack their food just before they arrived. I was almost finished when my brother, Hayden, decided it would be funny to trip me. Causing four plates of gravied rice and rare steaks with a peppercorn sauce to go crashing into the soft lush carpeting of the dining room. The plates smashed upon contact with each other causing an even bigger mess.

My father, Adam, with damn near perfect timing, came into the dining room just as the noise settled down. Hayden had already left the room by then. He was smart when trying to cause me trouble. My father is the Alpha of the Greystone Pack which is the sixth strongest pack in the world and the second strongest in the United States. Which is why he was so hard on me. His reputation held more meaning to him than the concept of being a father to me did.

"Michael." He said in a calm demeanor that frightened me slightly. I still hadn"t cast my emotions aside enough to deal with his current state so I could still feel the Alpha bond to him. "Care to explain what happened here?"

"Father, I-" I began but was cut off as I was thrown across the dining room and into the opposing wall. Causing it to crack slightly under my weight.

"Useless!" He shouted as I felt the anger literally peal off him. "How can you screw up something as simple as serving us our dinner?"

I kept quiet. I could feel myself losing my emotions. I began to not care about the situation as I slowly began to lose the ability to sense the Alpha"s mood.

"Gregory!" My father shouted and the Beta, a large man who stood roughly 6 foot 2 inches high with an impressive build and short blonde hair came jogging into the dining room.

"Yes Alpha." He said with a slight bow of his head before he noticed the mess and me sitting in front of a cracked wall, with blood staring to leak down the left side of my face.

"Take Michael to the dungeons. I will administer his punishment after dinner." My father said in an irritated voice.

"Pathetic." I heard the Beta say softly as he dragged me by right foot down the basement steps and into a small cell near the far back of the basement. It was a cell meant for rogues who held a clear threat to the pack. I could smell the faint hint of dried blood from the back wall, cell bars and the floor.

My father beat me with his belt until I passed out. It was one of his softer beating I would soon find out.

I was soon brought out of my recollection as I heard the school bell signalling for the end of the lesson and the end of the day. I slowly packed my unopened history textbook into my black backpack and stood up. I waited for enough of the students to have left the room before I made my way out.

As I exited the classroom I was pushed into the lockers just to my left. I let out a small groan from the pain still flooding my system from the "punishment" I had to endure last night from my brother and the Beta"s son, Andrew. They were close friends and sort of looked alike. Both had short to medium length brown hair with a hard set jawline. Both were well built that caused most of the girls in school to drool over them. I, on the other hand, have long pitch black hair that came down to my jawline. My eyes were a crystal white which was one of the reasons that most of the pack hate me.

My build wasn"t as impressive as my brother"s but I was well toned. All the work for the pack was a decent workout after all.

I looked up at the person who shoved me into the lockers and found a girl I have never seen before. She had long bushy curly red hair with the brightest blue eyes I have ever seen. I felt a small ping within me but it quickly faded. She wore blue jeans, a white tank top and a faded pink cardigan.

"You"re my Mate?" She said in disbelief. "How can that be?"

"Sorry, what?" I asked wondering if I misheard her. She couldn"t have possibly called me her Mate.

"I said, "You"re my Mate"." She repeated slightly confused.

"Seriously?" I asked. So I did hear her right. But I didn"t feel those spark things that the other"s spoke about nor did I smell anything out of the ordinary. I guess if she is telling the truth that that answers my question about if I could even fell a Mate bond.

"Can"t you feel it?" She asked taking a small step closer and placing her right hand on my forearm, which was covered by my long sleeve black shirt that I decided to wear today.

"Feel what? The sparks?" I queried her and she nodded her head. "No. I can"t feel anything."

"What?" She said as I noticed a sad expression start to creep up onto her face. "You can"t feel it? Why not? The sparks are there. You have to feel them. And the smell. Can"t you smell me?"

"I seriously don"t feel a thing and no, I don"t smell you." I responded honestly which caused more sadness to cross her face. "But then again, I haven"t felt anything for over nine years, so maybe that"s why." I said trying to console her. Why am I even trying? This is so confusing.

"What do you mean by you can"t feel anything?" She asked still holding my left forearm.

"I haven"t felt anything for nine years. No emotions." I said in a dead voice as a few memories crept their way into my head.

"How can you have no emotions?" She said in almost a shout.

"It"s just who I am." I replied as I noticed my brother and Andrew coming our way.

"Rose. There you are." My brother said in an excited voice before his eyes fell on where her hand was currently positioned. I could see he didn"t like it at all. Rose turned to look at my brother and did a double take between me and him. I should have mentioned we"re identical twins. The only difference is our hair, eyes and our weight. But the facial features were all there.

"Twins." I tell her as she looked a little confused. She looked up at me with a small smile.

"You"re a Hayes?" She said with an excited voice.

"Sort of." I replied. I didn"t want to tell her the truth. It was kind of fun having someone to talk to who didn"t know who I was exactly. "Michael Hayes." I added.

"Rose O"Brien." She replied with a smile.

"Rose. We need to go. My father is waiting for us." Hayden said with slight irritation in his voice. "It"s best we"re not late. Michael." He said as he looked up at me. "Father needs to talk to you first. You should hurry." He said with a smile. Ok. Something is wrong. What did I do? I wondered as I began to turn and walk away.

"Wait, Michael!" I heard Rose call out behind me. "Why don"t you come with us? We"re going in the same direction." She said and I could see that Hayden wasn"t happy at the comment. the death glare he gave me was evident of that. Just who is this Rose that has him acting this way? This isn"t like him.

"I need to get there quicker and I am assuming Hayden will take you the scenic way. Goodbye Rose." I said as I turned once more and walked away. I felt that ping in my chest just like before but it disappeared just as quickly.

It took me about thirty odd minutes to walk home through the path in the woods and I quickly ran up the stairs to put my backpack in my room. Maybe I should just call it the attic, which it really was. Afterwards I made my way to my father"s office.

"Alpha Hayes. You called." I said with a bow of my head. I have only ever called my father "father" once and the beating he gave me afterwards ensured that I never did again.

"The Alpha, Luna, Beta, and their children from the Limerock Pack, will be visiting our pack for a short while. I need you to quickly set up the guest rooms and ensure dinner runs smoothly. You are to serve dinner, but not attend. Understand." He added as he looked up, trying to survey to me the importance of what he said.

"Yes Alpha." I said and with another bow of my head, I set out to get everything ready. Well that explains Rose then. She must be the Beta"s daughter or maybe the Alpha"s daughter. she held power but I couldn"t really distinguish just how much power she held.

I served dinner which consisted of roast beef with a thick peppercorn sauce, steamed vegetables and a boiled potato with a small amount of butter melted into it. When I finally set the table I noticed the one thing I should"ve noticed earlier. I haven"t shifted. Why haven"t I shifted?

The dinner went by smoothly while I kept out of sight in the room just off to the side of the dining room which was designed for me alone. It was the room I was to wait in until the pack meals were finished. It was a small room with pale white walls and a small lightly coloured brown stool.

I could hear the conversations taking place which was my only source of entertainment really. Until the conversation became serious.

"Alpha Murray. As we have discussed earlier. I think it is about time we announce the joining of our packs." My father said in a serious tone which brought a few gasps from some of the other pack members.

"Rightly so, Alpha Adam. As discussed, my daughter, Rose O"Brien, will marry your son, Hayden Hayes, and join our two packs." The other said. His voice definitely held more power than my father"s.

"What?" Rose shouted. "You can"t do that!"

"Be quiet Rose." Her father said lacing his voice with his Alpha tone.

"No I won"t." Rose said almost challenging her father. "I have already found my Mate. I will not marry someone else."

"Who is your Mate?" Her father asked with anger seeping into his voice.

"Michael Hayes. The other Hayes son." Rose said with excitement in her voice. Was she really that happy to be my Mate? What did she feel to make her this way? I had to admit, I was curious about this whole Mate thing.

"Impossible." My father said. "An Alpha cannot mate with a nobody. A title less." His voice laced with anger.

"What do you mean title less?" Rose asked a little frustrated at how my father spoke about me.

"He is a runt. A nobody. Not worthy of a title." My father shot back lacing his voice with his Alpha tone. Not like it made made much difference. "You will marry Hayden and join our packs. It is already decided."

"No I won"t do it." She said as she stood up, causing her chair to fall backwards.

"Rose!" Her father shouted. "You will. Find this Michael person and reject him. You belong to Hayden and that is final." He added with a serious tone.

"What?" She asked with a pained filled voice. Did her father just tell her to reject me? Am I going to be the second wolf in history to get rejected? I wonder what it feels like. What would happen to me? I guess there is only one way to find out. I thought as I opened the door to my little room and turned into the dining room. Rose was in tears when she looked up at me. Was the Mate bond really that strong?

I guess I will find out what happens to a rejected wolf now. Should be fun.

Chapter 2

"Michael." Rose gasped when she noticed me standing there and ran towards me. "They want me to reject you."

"I know." I said not hugging her back. I never understood the concept of hugs. It always looked odd to me. "I heard."

"They can"t make me do this." She said into my chest while holding the back of my shirt tightly.

"They are the Alphas." I replied logically. "They can do what they want. And they have ordered you to reject me." I said as I felt her hands let go of my shirt before she took a few steps away from me. I looked up at Alpha Murray when I noticed the look of confusion on his face. "Is something the matter, Alpha?" I asked politely.

"Why are you taking this so peacefully?" He replied before anger began to seep into his voice. "I have ordered my daughter, your Mate, to reject you and you just stand there as if nothing has happened."

"He has no emotions." Rose replied for me.

"True." I responded still looking at the Alpha. "I am assuming that is why I don"t feel the Mate bond or the Alpha bonds for that matter." I said with a small smile.

"What?" The Alpha said in disbelief. "How is this possible?"

"I am what they made made to be." I replied with a bow of my head.

"And who are they?" The Alpha pressed cautiously.

"No one, sir." I replied with a smile. I knew the rules. I don"t talk about what the pack does to me. Period. That is my law around here. And I dare not disobey it.

"That"s it. Rose." He said as he turned to look at his daughter to his right. "Reject this abomination now and prepare to marry Hayden. That"s an order."

"Please, father." She began to beg. "You can"t make me do this."

"I can and I will. I cannot have my daughter, an Alpha"s daughter mate, with something like that." He gestured towards me as if I disgusted him. She turned to me with eyes full of sadness. She wanted me to do something.

"Michael, please." She begged me. "Do something. Don"t let them take you from me."

"Its an order Rose. You best follow it." I replied as my curiosity took over. "I wonder what its like to be rejected? Maybe I will find out what the council has kept hidden all these years. It might be fun."

"Fun?" She said in disbelief. "Rejection is fun? Don"t you want to be with me?"

"It wouldn"t matter much to me anyway. Only you will feel the Mate bond. Regardless, I must admit, this bond you feel has me curious. What does feel like? Has it changed you?"

"He can"t be serious." Alpha Murray"s Luna, Rose"s mother, Natalie, said with a soft gasp. "How can he even ask such a thing with a straight face."

"No emotions, ma"am." I replied to her with a nod of my head. "It comes in handy sometimes. Rose." I said as I turned to her. "You might want to reject me now. I can see the Alpha"s becoming slightly agitated at all this talking."

"Michael, please." She begged.

"Enough Rose." Hayden exclaimed. "Reject the freak and come rule at my side where you belong."

"He"s your brother. How can you say something like that?" She asked in disbelief as she took a side step closer to me.

"He is not my brother." Hayden said with disgust dripping off every word. "I am the next Alpha. He is nothing." Rose ignored the last bit and turned to me.

"You really want to do this?" She asked with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Its an order, Rose. You can"t just ignore that." I said as I stood up straighter in front of her. "Don"t worry about me. I"ll be fine."

"I"m sorry." She said as she wiped her tears from her cheeks. "I, Rose O"Brien, Alpha daughter to the Limerock pack, reject my mate, Michael Hayes, Alpha son to the Greystone pack." Suddenly she clutched her chest as I am assuming the pain of rejection is currently breaking the bond. I just stared at her in fascination.

"Michael." My father said as he came to stand to my right. "You are banished from this pack. Leave now."

"Understood, sir." I said as I turned to Rose. "It will get better. Soon you will forget about me and you will live the life you deserve."

Rose brought up her left hand still trying to act strong and caressed my right cheek. Since I was a few inches taller than her she ended up pulling my face down to meet hers. Our lips touched and again I felt a slight pain in my chest. What is happening to me? I thought to myself. This is getting really weird. She broke the kiss soon after and looked deeply into my eyes.

"Just know I will always love you." She said as she dropped her hand and quickly walked out of the dining room and up the stairs to the left of the dining room taking her to the first floor.

"Well." I said as I regained my composure from my previous confusion. "I guess it"s my time to leave then. Goodbye, mother, father." I said with a slight bow of my head. "Goodbye brother. Alpha Murray, Luna Natalie. It was a pleasure meeting you." I said just before I turned and made my way out of the house. I wasn"t going to take anything as I barely had anything to take.

I entered the dense forest that surrounded the pack house and began to run. I pushed myself to my limits and after a few hours of running I found myself not as tired as I thought I would be. I have never had decent stamina and yet here I am sprinting for hours on end. Something is definitely wrong to me.

Suddenly I felt pain throughout my entire body. Something is happening to me. It feels as if my body is breaking into thousands of pieces. I heard loud cracks as my left arm flailed outwards. Then again with my right arm. Holy shot! I thought to myself. I"m shifting. But why now? It is long overdue.

Rolling on the floor I felt the rest of my body snapping and being put back together. The pain I felt had me more worried than anything in my life so far. I have seen werewolves shift for the first time and they have never been in this much pain. What is happening to me?

I was currently passing my twentieth minute of shifting and still with the amount of pain I was feeling I still haven"t passed out. I wasn"t even able to endure this much from my own pack. Why now? Then I heard shouts from behind me.

I slowly lifted my head as more pain shot through me as I found the source of the shouts. A well built man in a shredded well tailored black suit came barreling through the forest towards me. He made it within twelve meters before three other men caught up to him. Oddly enough they didn"t have weapons. They were all bare handed. How did they shred this mans clothes with nothing?

I took a closer look at the man and saw his was very well built though his suit helped to hide the fact. He had short slightly curled hair and a sharp rough jawline. His thin set lips gave his face an eloquent feel to it. Even I had to admit this man was handsome. But what caught my attention the most was his eyes. They were bright purple. Oh shit! I thought to myself. Vampire.

What is a vampire doing here? Why is he running from others? Shouldn"t he be the one chasing? Shouldn"t he be the predator and not the prey?

"You can"t hide from us, Logan." One the men chasing said in a deep voice. "We will always find you and we will kill you!" He shouted as he managed to quickly catch up to the man running away, tackling him to the floor.

"Finally." Another of the men said as he breathed out deeply. "That was quite the workout you gave us there, Logan."

"Stop talking and finish this." The third man said. He must have been the leader as the other two looked up at him and immediately they went quiet. It was odd that the three men were all wearing dark suits as if they were attending a ball or some sort of function.

"Please, don"t." The man known as Logan begged as he struggled to get out of the man"s grasp. "I didn"t do it. I"ve been framed."

"We know." The second man in the dark navy blue suit with a dark purple tie said with a laugh. "But the bosses need someone to blame and we need a scapegoat."

"Hey guys." The first man still holding down Logan said as he finally noticed my sprawled out position. "Look at this. A poor little mutt during a shift." He laughed.

"Looks like his first shift." The third man said with a laugh. I screamed in pain once more as my back broke and put itself back together.

"Ooh. Looks painful." The second man said as he began to walk closer to me. My vision began to blur and a red tinge took over.

Suddenly I was on the other side of the small clearing with the vampire"s head rolling in front of me before it quickly crumbled into ash.

"What the hell?" The first man said as he quickly got up. "What just happened? Alexander did you see anything?"

"The mutt did it." Alexander, the leader of the small group of vampire"s said. "Impressive speed there, mutt. But you still can"t beat us. We are stronger than Henry." He said in a snarl as the first man lunged towards with great speed yet it still seemed slow to me. My left leg snapped as i pushed off the ground and thrust my half transformed claw hand into the chest of the man ripping out his heart. He too turned to dust.

I felt my bones snap and amend in quick succession yet it wasn"t as painful. It seems my shift is coming to an end. My body had shaped itself into the form of a very large werewolf yet no fur sprouted, rather, my skin, had discoloured itself into a dark black colour.

I stalked around the leader of the vampire"s as he let out a laugh. He turned with greater speed than the other vampire"s as he tried to make an attempt to run away. With my own speed I sped until I stood in front of his cutting off his escape. He tried again to the left and again I stopped him. To an outsider it looked as if I was toying with the vampire.

"What the hell are you?" The vampire said as he finally realized that this is a fight he would never win. I lunged for him aiming for his throat. I was quick enough to take him off guard but overestimated the speed i used as he was able to twist out of the way at the last second.

I spun to my left in midair swinging my paws outwards severing his left arm from his body. the vampire screamed in pain as I landed and quickly spun around. This time I used enough speed and attacked his throat. With a powerful pull, I ripped out his throat as watched as he turned to dust.

I stood still as I began to feel a slight tingling feeling throughout my body. Instead of fur sprouting a dark black smoke formed around my body covering head to tail. My eyes shone a bright red through the small covering of smoke. I turned to the vampire with the shredded suit.

You"re free. Go now. I said to Logan as I turned to walk away.

"What the-" Logan began as he quickly stood up and cut himself off. "I mean, thank you. And no. I am not leaving. I owe you my life"

Chapter 3

Hello human. A deep voice sounded within my head which caused me to flinch slightly. I knew a werewolves wolf could talk to the human side but I didn"t expect it to be so clear.

What do you want? I asked slightly irritated. In my defense, I wasn"t irritated at my wolf but rather the vampire who won"t stop following me around. Ever since I saved him from the vampires that were set on taking his life, he has followed me.

We will be together until one of us dies. Why not get to know each other? The voice sounded once more. He made logical sense but my irritation was still there. Then it clicked. Why am I feeling irritated? I have never felt this way in a very, very long time.

Again, what do you want? I asked. If he wanted to get to know each other why is he not introducing himself or at least start of a topic of conversation?

What"s your name? He asked.

You should know it already. You are my wolf. I replied as i rounded a tree. I have been stuck in my wolf form since I shifted two hours ago. Even thinking of my human shape hasn"t helped me shift back. Now I am just wondering the wilderness until I find a suitable place to settle down for the night.

It is better to introduce oneself. He said in a arrogant tone. Human"s in this day and age have no manners. He added quickly.

In what day and age? You are the same age as I am. I replied still irritated.

I am older than you by a few centuries. Never forget that boy. My wolf said in a deadly tone.

Come again? I asked still not believing in what I just heard. Why are you following me! I shouted at Logan, my vampire stalker.

"Be it that you saved my life." He said as if it meant everything. "My life is yours. I will serve you until I perish." He said with no hint of sarcasm.

Wait, what? I replied as I stopped and turned to look at him.

"I was a butler for the Cadeyrn family. Until Cadeyrn"s youngest son"s death, that is." He replied as he too stopped and his right hand clasp the outer of his left in front of him. "Now I will serve you. I am honour bound to serve you until I perish."

So I am not going to get rid of you then? I asked hoping I could. I needed space. I needed time to figure out why I am feeling things again. To figure out just what am I going to do with my life.

"No, sir." The man replied with a soft smile. "You"re stuck with me for quite a while."

Great. I responded as I turned and began walking. Where are we anyway?

"Alaska, sir." Logan replied. "I crossed over the Canadian border while trying to escape."

Who owns this land? I asked. I was tired. I didn"t want anymore hassles today like suddenly finding out I was trespassing on someone else"s land.

"Currently, we are in Alpha Harris Lockworth"s territory." Logan replied still following me. "It is a small but fairly strong pack. He also maintains peace with the local Werebear community."

Great. This should be fun.

"Sir." Logan said as something to his right caught his attention. I mean, it is a forest, something was bound to catch his attention. "I have found a pair of black jeans you can use if you shift back."

I"ve tried. It isn"t working. I responded slightly defeated.

"Ask your wolf. He will help you." Logan said trying to give me some support.

Hey, wolf. I said trying to contact my wolf.

I know. I know. But why do you want to turn back? My wolf said with a confused tone. We"re stronger in this form.

I need to shift back to human in case I need to converse with human"s. I said and I could feel my wolf"s reluctance. Do it. I ordered my wolf.

Fine. He said as he went quiet. Then I felt my body begin to tingle once more. Bones cracking, then snapping and the amended themselves. Luckily the shift this time went far quicker. only a minute or two. It was far less painful as well.

I stood on my own two feet as I stretched my back by arching it backwards. I lifted my face, directing it towards the heavens while I closed my eyes. It felt good to be back in my human form.

"You"re younger than I thought you"d be." Logan said as he swiftly handed me the pair of black jeans, which I took staring at him. Even now I am still cautious of this vampire.

"How old did you think I"d be?" I asked as I put on the jeans.

"Mid to late twenties, really." He replied honestly. "I was not expecting a teenager. Especially with scars like those." I guess he was referring to the scars that lay scattered across my back and shoulders. Although Werewolves heal faster than normal, if you are an unshifted wolf the scars will remain.

"Well." I began as I turned back around and began walking slightly irritated that he had to bring up my scars. "I wasn"t expecting a vampire servant."

"Yes, sir." He replied. This is going to take some getting use to.

We walked in silence for another half an hour before we came upon a large old abandoned mansion in a small clearing. A large amount of vines covered the outside of it. The front of the mansion had about four steps in a half moon shape that led up to the porch that had four Greek styled pillars. I could make out four different floors with eight windows on the ground floor and nine windows on other three.

I wonder why an old house like this would just be abandoned. Shouldn"t it at least be demolished or used as a architectural hotspot. Maybe a checkpoint for hikers.

"Logan." I asked and noticed him step up next to me on my right. "Any idea where the Alpha"s pack house is?"

"Should be just west of here. About ten to fifteen kilometers." He replied. "Why do you want you know?"

"I need to make my presence known. Maybe even get a job." I said as I walked closer to the house, inspecting it closely. "While I am gone, get this house clean. The furniture and other items can be dealt with later, but I want the outside and inside clean. I should be a day or two."

"Understood, sir." Logan replied. "It will be done."

"Do you need me to bring you some blood or something?" I asked as I turned to him. "I can"t expect you to work without a source of food at least."

"Very kind of you, sir." Logan replied. "I am fine with any type. I will also feed on some of the local wildlife, as it will be sustainable enough."

"Understood. Be back soon." I said as I turned west, which was just to the left of the house and began walking.

It took me just under two hours to reach the inner territory perimeter of Lockworth"s pack. I was met by four of the patrol wolves under his control. The one who was leading the patrol was just over six feet with a decent athletic build. He had short curly blonde hair and wore a pair of black Adidas gym shorts.

To his right was a shorter man with a shaved head and large bulky build. He too wore a pair of black Adidas gym shorts. The two to the left of the leader were at least a few inches taller and looked damn near identical. Just my luck to run into twins. They had short curly pale ginger hair and had thin but toned builds. Both wore dark blue Nike gym shorts. All four were shirtless, which I couldn"t complain about since I too stood there shirtless.

"State your business, Rogue." The leader said with a deadly tone.

"I wish to speak to your Alpha about permission to reside within his lands." I replied standing perfectly still as to not cause any panic within the men.

"Why would we do that for a Rogue?" The left twin said in a curious tone.

"Firstly, I hold no animosity towards this pack and how it deals with outsiders." I began looking towards the ginger twin. "Secondly, I am not a Rogue by choice. I was banished from my pack as my father found me less than normal."

"Only an Alpha can banish a wolf." The other twin said with the same curious tone. "Are you saying you"re an Alpha"s son?"

"Yes I am." I replied. "Can I speak to your Alpha or not?"

"He says he will speak to you. Follow us." The leader of the patrol said before he turned and began walking deeper into the territory.
