CHAPTER 1: THE INNERS
New York city, the home of the champions and the hot dogs, the Yankees, the rich and the poor, it was also the home to a secret society, where people with different unimaginable things were rumored to do things and it was said to be in a secret war with the other force who wanted them dead.
They were rumored to be called the Inners, a special group of people, who said to have powers that could start a war, they were rumored to be monsters who ate nothing but human flesh and drank human blood, just for the fun of it. And the Inners were also rumored to be so bad, that if anyone saw it, it was referred as an it, that they should inform the Force, who would come and get rid of them.
Rallies had been made, telling the people, pulling all sorts of tales in their minds, making them to dislike and abhor the special people and chase them out like the dogs, they were told they were.
But, the Inners, this itss,' all they wanted was a normal life, a place where they belonged, a place they could call home, but they never got one, so they took to hiding in secrets tunnels, and underground subways, they were used to be so scared and alone of stepping out, until a day, they met someone, who could show them that they could live safely, a place where they could feel loved, a place they could call home, a family under one roof, different people filled with different unique abilities living happily ever after, hidden away from the world, just a place hidden in main plain sight, so that no matter how hard they looked, they would never find them.
And in this place, or mansion if you preferred to call it, was where they all lived, not eating human flesh, not drinking human blood, but eating normal food, maybe burnt due to a certain teenager who just cant seem to get the timer on the oven right. This is their story, their life.
Lisa smelled smoke coming out from the kitchen, she immediately raced downstairs, as she dashed in, and saw the kitchen was smoky and the smoke alarm was blaring. She immediately turned off the microwave, as she brought out a very burnt chicken and dropped it on the table.
Her boyfriend Adrian, came in laughing as Lisa turned to face him.
"Dont you dare? She said holding the gloves tightly, ready to beat him if he laughed at her.
"Sorry baby, it is just thatwell good bye to thanksgiving dinner. He said pointing at the chicken.
"It's not my fault, I just forgot that I left something in the oven." She said as she began to tear up.
"Dont cry, I am sure that Tracy and the rest will understand what happened." Adrian said coming to hug her.
She burnt it again huh. Tracy said as she leaned on the door, looking at both of them.
"Oh come on, it was a mistake." Adrian said looking at Tracy who rolled her eyes.
"It wasnt a mistake, she doesnt remember this kind of things, what am I going to tell the family huh, that thanksgiving is gone." She said as she went to look at the chicken.
"Well we could always have meatloaf." Aidan said walking in, bringing in groceries. He dropped it on the kitchen counter as he waved and nodded at the couple, before focusing on a very angry teenager who crossed her hands.
"And where do you think you are coming from eh?" Tracy asked tapping her foot impatiently as Aidan walked to her and kissed her.
"Come on babe, I told you, I just went for some grocery run, I got us pizza, and KFC and drinks and"
"I thought we agreed that no Inner goes running off on his own to avoid being captured. We made the rules, we have to lead by example." Tracy said pulling him back.
Come on, Tracy, take a chill pill, will you? This is thanksgiving and we are all here, me, you, Aidan, Lisa, Miles, Myles, Dawn, Tina. Cant we just enjoy the moment and have a fun-tastic evening.
Adrian said as they all left the kitchen to the main room where about 30 teenagers laid huddled amongst themselves, having fun with their different abilities.
One was reading upside down hung from the wall, as Toni the youngest of them all, kept on jumping trying to touch her.
Well I guess, I could take a chill pill then. Tracy said smiling looking at everyone. After all, we are always going to be here, and there for one another. Tracy continued as Aidan kissed her on her forehead. Whats the worst that can happen. She reasoned.
A YEAR LATER
The alarm rung urgently as Adrian walked into the computer room with Aidan tagging behind.
The room was filled with different computers showing locations of the city and beyond, the red dot beeping in one of the computer as a red haired girl wearing her headphones on her neck typed away on the keyboard.
"Yo, Tracy, whats the emergency?" Adrian asked staring at the screen showcasing the city.
"We got a new Inner guys, local CCTV shows she's located at the warehouse off route 135b.
" Route 135b, is not too far from here" Aidan said, eating a burger as he sat down beside her, and Adrian stood behind them, asking questions.
"Can you tell is anything about the Inner.
"Sure, her name is Sandy but recently changed it to siren. She's 17, was kicked out of her house when she was 10, went AWOL for a while and resurfaced a year ago. She's on the Force most wanted list."
" I don't get. She has been hidden for the past 7 years now, why did she resurface again?" Adrian asked.

CHAPTER 2: SANDY
"That's for us to ask her, when we rescue her". Chris said.
"When do we leave" Miles popped in.
"No, not you please" Adrian muttered.
"Chillax, bro, who else is as hyperactive as Miles if not worse," Aidan said patting him on the shoulder.
"Urgh, Myles!"
As if on cue, Myles rushed into the room, sweats visible on his forehead and his pants loose.
"Damn bro, you reek of sex, "Miles said popping his gum
"Yeah, I was kind of doing a fifth round with Sally."
"Excuse guys, have you forgotten we have an Inner situation on our hands. Less gossiping, more gearing up." Tracy scolded.
"Chris, Myles, Miles you're going with Adrian, get Tina, Liam and Sally on your way out." Aidan said.
"Sweet," Myles and Miles chorused as they high-five each other.
"What's the plan?" Chris asked.
"Simple, poof in- get her- poof out"
Adrian said.
"It might not be so simple as that, guess who just walked in the building," Tracy said increasing the volume of the dispatch walkie talkie.
......... requesting for backup.
"This is Cyril, backup is on its way as requested, will be there in 20 minutes, over and out." The reply rung clearly in the room.
Adrian tightened his hands as he tried to calm himself down.
"Bro, no matter what, do not go after Cyril, just get the new Inner and leave ok," Aidan said.
"Get ready, gang, we'll leave in 5."
Adrian said walking out of the room.
************************************
"Last year's old news"
"I'm breaking out my six string and playing from my heart"
"It's not Deja Vu"
"It's another summer"
"That's how the chapter starts...."
The music went on smoothly, serving her a load of entertainment until the tap interrupted everything.
"Excuse me miss, an old man tapped his seat partner who removed her head phone.
"Yes, what's the problem?"
"We are getting ready for descend, the air hostess had asked that all seatbelts should be put on."
"Oh thanks, guess I was really lost in the music Alyssa chuckled.
Suddenly the man grabbed her hand startling her saying....
"Yes, my child, you are lost, not only in music, but in yourself too. The choices you make today will either destroy you or save you. This is the year where all your troubles begin."
"Let go of me, sir, what are you saying." Alyssa said as she struggled to free herself.
"Two as one and one as two, one is disowned, other in denial, one is dead and so the other will be," the old man croaked putting something in her hands.
"LET ME GO" Alyssa screamed.
The hostess tapped her and she blinked and gasped heavily.
"Is anything wrong, miss. You started screaming."
Alyssa looked round but couldn't find the old man.
"Uhhh, where's the old man who was sitting here?"
"Old man? Your grandpa?"
"No, hes not my grandpa. Just my seatmate. Where is he?"
"My dear, you must be dreaming. You had no seat partner throughout the flight. You were alone."
"WHAT?! What are you saying. He woke me up just now."
"No dear, I did, we have landed dear. Get your stuffs ready", the hostess said as she left to help other passengers come down.
Alyssa opened her hands to see a pendant of two different colors, the orange side was labeled light and the blue side was labeled electricity.
Squeezing the pendant tightly, she got down with the rest of the passenger in to the terminal where she saw her mom waiting for her. Her mum was dressed in a black gown, which she adorned with a pretty nice watch, on her wrist and her bag was of the same color. She stood at the rear watching the passengers as they came down orderly.
She first spotted her daughter carrying her bag and she smiled. The smile of a proud mother, a satisfied one. She moved closer to the front line so that Alyssa could spot her on time. Alyssa saw her and smiled too, as she hurried to get pass the customs check.
"MUM!" She called out waving to get her attention.
"Alyssa, my dear. How are you? I can't believe you are back. How's your Aunt."
"She's doing great actually, I wish school didn't have to resume" Alyssa said dramatically.
"Let's get going. I made one of my favorite dishes for you." Her mum said in a sing songy way as Alyssa rolled her eyes, not really disgusted but tired of the way her mum kept behaving as if she was still ten-year-old with a bad sickness.
"Come on, mum, you know that your cooking is terrible."
"Well, Cyril tends to enjoy my homemade dishes." Her mum said gasping trying to put up a feeble protest. There was no way in hell she was going to let my daughter win this fight, not a chance.
"Cyril is an asshole fiancé who's trying to get on your good side." Alyssa said stating the obvious fact, on the ground, as they reached her mums car and the mum opened the boot.
"Do not use such words with such a dashing young man." She said in a mandatory tone, as she lifted the boot higher as Alyssa carried the bag up, from the ground.
"And you have regrettably fallen for his charm," Alyssa said putting her bag in the boot.
"If I was 20 years younger, I'd totally do him." Her mum said giving her the flirtatious wink.
"Eww, mum now that's a picture I'm not sure will ever leave me." Alyssa said, fake gagging as they entered the car and her mum drove off.

CHAPTER 3:RESCUE
Adrian, Sally, Tina, Chris, Myles, and Miles stepped into the warehouse using the secret portal that Sally had created for them. That was her unique ability. She could create escape routes through dimensions allowing her to enter anywhere, anytime. She was also good in hand to hand combats too, in case she was not able to escape, she could fight her way out.
"Spread out and look for the new Inner. Be careful not to alert the Force of our presence." Adrian whispered, as the rest nodded their heads, separating to search in different directions.
"There she is, open fire" one of the Force officer shouted as what could be heard next was the ringing of bullets.
"Guess they spotted her first," Myles said
"Come on, lets help her, Chris said as he ran towards the direction of the gun shots.
"What's the plan again because I don't think poof in-get her-poof out is going to be valid."
"New plan- Myles, Miles, Tina and Sally, act as bait while I go save someone from being killed. And no matter what happens, stay alive" Adrian said as he went after Chris.
"Ok, Myles, Tina take out the soldiers in the south and Sally and I will do likewise on your end." Myles said.
"Sure thing, bro come-on Tina," Miles said as they both left.
Meanwhile Sandy was badly hurt as she used her Sonic scream on the Force before ducking for cover from the uncountable bullets being pelted out, she had already gotten shot twice and it seems to be dampening her powers and making her weaker than usual.
She didn't know how long she could withstand before being caught by the Force officers.
"God, I know I don't believe in miracles but I would gladly welcome one right now.
The next thing she knew, something zapped out from nowhere scaring the hell out of her.
"Who the fuck is you?" Sally cursed, ready to attack.
"Your miracle, what else?"
"What?"
"Kidding. Name's Chris, I am here to save you."
"But how did you get here so...."
"Fast? Superhuman speed. I am like you, a fellow Inner
Inner?
Yeah, you know, a set of people who can do impossible things.
"Now how to find a way out" Chris continued raising his head above the barricade to see their surroundings.
The Force officers released their guns making Chris to duck down once more.
"A way out? You didn't have one before coming?"
"I did....
"Well, whats it?"
"I kind of left it behind with Adrian, Chris said chuckling nervously.
"Oh my God," Sandy said.
"I've got bad news and good news."
"What's the bad news"
"We are regrettably surrounded by Force officers."
"And the good?"
"You're not dying alone"
"Now's not the time for jokes"
"I know, I know, just trying to relive tension."
"What about your friend, Adrian is it, where is he?"
"I wouldn't exactly count on him to come."
"This is the Force. You are surrounded, surrender peacefully and we might let you live." An officer announced using their microphone.
"What's going on here?" The newcomer said as he sauntered in with authority.
"Sergeant, we have surrounded the runaway Inner and she appears to have a friend."
"Good, I will take care of this. You and your men go look for the Inners backup. They never fail to come in pairs." Cyril said.
"Sergeant, but what about this two?
I will kill them. I always loved killing in close range anyways."
"Sure thing sergeant, come on, let's move." Their leader said as they all left, leaving Cyril with the Inners.
"What are we going to do now? "
Chris whispered.
"No idea, wait get behind me and cover your eyes and ears. I am sure a pretty close range will kill him." Sandy whispered back.
The footsteps approached slowly but surely. Cyril reached the barricade and faced them. Sandy wanted to open her mouth but Chris covered her mouth stopping her.
"What do you think you are doing?" Sandy struggled.
"That's not Cyril. Don't scream"
"You two are pretty pathetic" Cyril said metamorphing into Adrian.
"Adrian! I never thought I will see you again" Chris said dramatically.
"What's going on here?" Sandy asked.
"Hi Sandy, I am Adrian we are friends sent to help you. You can leave now on your own or you can accompany us back to our hideout where we can treat your wounds."
"I'll stick with you two for now, but if I ever suspect anything, both your ears will peel."
"Feisty, I like you already," Adrian said helping her to get up.
"How about Tiny, Miles, Myles and Sally?" Chris asked.
"Well, I do hope they are performing way better than you.
"And that's the last of them, " Myles said as the last officer dropped dead.
"This is really getting old, where Adrian and Chris anyways?" Tina asked.
"Probably coming, let's go check up on Miles and see how he's holding up."
Miles was busy fighting the last officer when immediately a gunshot was heard and the officer dropped dead.
"I didn't do it." Sally said raising her hand up.
"I did" Myles said coming in with Tina.
"Bro what did you do that for, we aren't supposed to kill just knock them out."
"The people wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet through our heads so why hesitate to do so too?"
"I'll take it that you killed all those men you fought" Miles retorted.
"As if they had a chance in the first place."
"Adrian is not going to be happy when he finds out about this.".
"Adrian is not the boss of me."
"I heard gunshots, what the hell happened here" Adrian said as he walked in with Sandy and Chris.
"Just taking care of business as usual" Miles responded sharply.
"You killed them?"
"I tried to warn him" Sally cut in.
"What have you done?" Adrian asked, disgusted.
"They would put a bullet in our heads the minute they get the chance."
"That's because they are scared of us"
"And they should be, come on they have killed hundreds of us" Miles stated.
"And we have killed thousands of them."
"It seems you are forgetting that we are in a war and people dies in wars"
"But we are not killers. If we do kill, it will make us no different from Cyril."
"Speaking of Cyril, I thought he was here" Myles cut in again.
