Chapter 1 The Day They Died

(Y/N) and Jack were ecstatic to find out that they were going to have a baby. They had planned everything out;they were going to get a house, have good jobs, and go to college. But none of that could happen now.

300 Years Earlier(Jack)

The winter air was cold against Jack's face, it blew his brown hair in every direction. He didn't care though, he was too excited to ice skate with his sister. They reached the small pond which had turned to ice not tolong ago. Jack put on his ice skates and skated around the pond for a little bit, laughing as he glided over the ice.He then looked at his sister who had a scared look on her face. He went over to her, helped her get her skates on and then brought her out, slowly, onthe ice. He grabbed her hands and skated around with her. She laughed and it made Jack feel extremely joyful. They stopped and doubled over in laughter, and that was when they heard the first cracks.

Jack looked beneath his feet, with a terrified expression on his face. The ice was cracking beneath their feet.

"Jack, I'm scared." Her panicked voice matched her face, whichwas full of terror.

"It's alright, just don't move." He hoped he sounded more confident than he felt.

The fissures in the ice started to deepen. Jack knew he had to act fast. Hemoved towards his sister, and threw her onto the soft snowy banks of the pond with all the force that he could muster. He started sliding towards her, but realized with a shock that his foot was sinking.

"Jack!" That was the last thing he heard, before he fell into the freezing water.

300 Years Earlier (Y/N)

(Y/N) was walking down the street looking for a baby supply store. She looked every where but there weren't any in sight. After hours of fruitless walking, she finally gave up on the search, but she continued to walk around the small town. She imagined bringing her and Jack's child out on walks, going to the park to play, and eating at nice restaurants. She smiled at the thoughts, and absently hummed to herself. She let her imagination run wild for a moment when a scream pulled her back to reality.

She saw a young mother looking at a child in horror as he was crossing the street onhis own, and a car driving at an unimaginable speed was coming straight towards him. Coming to her senses, (Y/N) ran across the street, picked the child up and pushed him in the direction ofthe young mother. The woman caught him and looked up tosmile at(Y/N), but she was gone. She was stuck underneath the car for a minute but then she disappeared.

That is how it all began...

Chapter 2 Reuniting

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

(Y/N) was flying around in the frosty winter, making sure that all children could make anything possible with their imaginations. She watched a few children play with snow; they were making snow-angels andsnowmen, and someof them were throwing snowballs at each other.

Gliding ahead, she noticed a figure throwing snowballs into the air. Every now and then a snowball would hit someone, but the children didn't seem to notice that. After observing for a while, she realized that they didn't see him; it was as if he was invisible to them. She flew down to where they all were playing and looked more closely at the boy, and with an agitated feeling in her stomach, she registered the fact that she recognized him. That was the boy she remembered seeing when she woke up! The eyes, the face, everything matched theboy in her memory --but what could he be doing here? Nervously, she flew farther down and stopped on the ground. Inching ahead, she paused a few steps behind him, and gathered the courage to tap him on his shoulder.

"Hi?" It came out more as a question, as (Y/N) didn't know for sureif he recognized her. He turned around and stared at her for a moment, as though he was in shock. Then, not even giving her the time to introduce herself, he surprised her by embracing her in a tight bear-hug.

"(Y/N)! I thought I would never find you!" He exclaimed, burying his head into her neck.(Y/N)'s arms wrapped around the boy before her mind knew what she was doing. She had so many questions, but settled on the one she felt was most urgent.

"Um...how do you know my name?" She asked as she released her grasp from around the boy. Before he could answer, she continued, "When I woke up as a Guardian, I remembered one face, and it was yours. I don't know why but I knew I had to find you."

"The same thing happened to me." The boy shrugged. They both stood in silence for a few moments, before the boy coughed and spoke up, "Well now that we're reunited I guess, should we catch up? I'm Jack Frost by the way, if you didn't remember."

She smiled at him, and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. Ever since she had woken up, she felt an emptiness inside her, and meeting Jack seemed to have eased that uneasy feeling.

"Yeah, Jack let's--"

She was abruptly cut off by the feeling of vomit risingin her throat. (Y/N) turned away from Jack to puke out the contents of her stomach. She felt Jack's arms steady her, and he held back her hair as she threwup. Coughing out the last of the discharge, she wiped her mouth and drank water from the little bottle she had with her.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked her with an anxious frown forming on thedelicate features of his face. She nodded, not wanting to speak up right then lest she should throw up again. Jack regarded her, skeptically, but he didn't push her to talk. After a few moments of tranquility, she felt stable enough to open her mouth without feeling too sick.

"I'm fine, I'vejust been a little sick lately." She paused, frowning a bit. "I don't know why, Guardians don't usually get sick." Jack had a look of worry on his face, but shrugged it off. As they roamed about together conversing and joking, (Y/N) soon forgot about the incident, and laughed along with his mischievous personality. Only that day, did she realize, that it was the first time she had laughed with genuine mirth ever since she woke up as a Guardian.

For the next few days they both talked and got to know one another better. (Y/N) found herself finding more and more reasons to make him laugh, as the way his eyes crinkled with happiness made her forget the emptiness in her stomach with more and more conviction. She would occasionally feel sick, but she constantly told Jack that she wasfine. She knew that he didn't completely believe her, but he played long and didn't question her, even when (Y/N) found it almost impossible to believe her lies herself.

One day they were walking around as usual, and Jack kept making the snow-day miserable for children by throwing freezing snow down their backs. (Y/N) scolded him and told him to stop, but Jack only smiled mischievously and threw snow at her. She laughed and ducked, the snow missing her by an inch. Jack shrugged and threw more snow at some children who passed them.

"Stop doing that! What have they done to you?" (Y/N) laughed and asked him, defending a passing boy from an attack of snow by Jack.

"They don't believe in me, it's their fault." Jack explained in a matter of fact tone, as if that reason explained everything.

(Y/N) shook her head, hiding the smile that was threatening to form on her face. She brushed off the hair that was coming in her face from the chilly winter winds. "That's not a very good excuse, I think tha--"

(Y/N) was abruptly cut off in the middle as she felt someone grab her waist and throw her into a huge red sack. Before she could scream out for help, Jack suffered a similar fate and was pushed into the sack along with her. As they were both carried in the uncomfortable sack to some far off place, (Y/N) heard Jack's voice asking her something, but his voice became more and more muffled as an aura of dizziness possessed her. Jack's shouts were the last thing she heard, before passing out cold in the sack.

"(Y/N)? Are you awake, (Y/N)?" (Y/N) heard a soft voice calling out to her. She slowly opened her eyes, that were still heavy with drowsiness. Reluctantly, she shifted into a sitting position and immediately registered three things. First, that she was still inside the sack. Second, that it was immensely frigid, and she felt a numbing sensation spread across her body. And third, and Jack was staring at her as if she'd just risen from the dead.

"What?" She said, feeling self-conscious.

"I thought you were dead." He half-whispered, in a raspy voice. She could see his ivory hair was tousled wildly all over his head, and the proximity between the both of them made her head swim.

"Let them out!" (Y/N) heard a sharp voice scream, outside the sack. She felt Jack shift to a crouch as she herself took a defensive position, facing the mouth of the sack. She heard some shuffling and bright white light streamed inside the dark sack. Jack nodded at her and went out first, and she followed. As her eyes adjusted to their new surroundings, she saw that they were standing in a region such that if you randomly shut your eyes, took seven rounds and opened them, there was a 99% chance that your sight would land on snow. In front of her stood a gigantic structure, with stalactites hanging from every corner and side.

"That's Santa's Workshop!" She heard a voice chirp, and saw that a woman with feathers on her head had spoken. She looked authoritative, with peacock colors all over her, but smiled at her and Jack. "I'm the Tooth-fairy, and you both are in the North Pole!"

"Say what?" Jack asked, in an amazed tone. (Y/N) was in shock-- she couldn't even open her mouth to ask one question, let alone the million queries her mind was bursting with. She believed whatever the Tooth-fairy had just said, after all, she could see toys everywhere, and little yetis were running around trying to get the flying toys back to ground. But...were they really at the North Pole?

"She said, you both are at the North Pole." A sly-looking rabbit with long whiskers spoke up.

"Who-- who are you?" (Y/N) finally found her voice to ask something.

"I'm am the Easter Bunny. E. Aster Bunnymund." The Rabbit said, as if it was completely obvious.

"Of course you are." Jack said sarcastically. The Easter Bunny glared at him, but didn't say anything. He huffed and turned back to face (Y/N).

"Pleasant meeting you. By the way, that is North over there, " he told her, pointing at a huge man with broad shoulders. Everything about him looked terrifying, save his long beard and whiskers that looked like a waterfall of milk. He smiled at her, and (Y/N) decided that she liked him.

"Look, guys, nice meeting you and all, but do you mind telling us why you dragged us all the way here?" Jack asked, walking and standing close to (Y/N), with a slight frown on his face.

"Actually, " The Tooth Fairy began, "we didn't --" She stopped bluntly, looking over at North. He nodded slightly and came to stand directly in front of Jack and (Y/N), making her feel slightly queasy.

"(Y/N)and Jack Frost. The Man in the Moon has chosen the two of you to become guardians." His voice boomed, causing both of them to stare at him open-mouthed.

"Huh!?" They both exclaimed, simultaneously.

First off I want to say thank you guys so much for 40+ reads! That's amazing, it went up so fast, I didn't know that so many people liked Jack Frost. Also, updates will possibly come quicker because I can use my computer now so expect more, but not too much.

Anyway on to the chapter!

Previously~

"(Y/N)and Jack Frost. The Man in the Moon has chosen the two of you to become Guardians." North's voice boomed, causing both of them to stare at him open-mouthed.

"Huh!?" They both exclaimed, simultaneously.

Now~

North didn't reply, making his way toward the workshop. Tooth flew, following him, while the Easter Bunny continued behind them. Jack gave (Y/N) a helpless look and took her hand before falling in their pursuit. His icy blue eyes were focussed on the workshop, and she followed his gaze. It looked intimidating from the outside, with the sharp icicles screaming Run away!at them. However, on closer inspection, (Y/N) noticed that the rest of the building had a rather cosy look to it. She longed to go inside and sit in front of a blazing fire -- the cold didn't make her uncomfortable, but she liked the feeling of warmth anyway. It made her feel more human.

Looking up, (Y/N) realized that she had zoned out and found that they were already inside the workshop, which was bustling with activity. Jack was conversing with the others, and she caught on to what they were talking about.

"So are you, Tooth and Bunny Rabbit Guardians too?" Jack asked.

"It's E. Aster Bunnymund!" The Easter Bunny – Bunnymund – replied indignantly.

"Now! Don't fight! The two of you have been chosen by MM to become Guardians!" He exclaimed, and Tooth gleefully clapped her hands. (Y/N) momentarily wondered if she was drunk, but dismissed the thought quickly.

Jack shook his head at North. "But surely, there has been a misunderstanding. We must-"

"Agh! Yes, we must celebrate! Sound the horns!" North proclaimed, who was clearly too joyous to notice the look of annoyance that masked Jack's face.

As if they had been waiting for their cue, yetis materialized from thin air and started blowing horns; and one even brought a huge book to North. Jingling music with impromptu trumpet-calls and horn-sounds filled (Y/N)'s ears. Furry yetis offered Jack and(Y/N) pointy blue shoes, which they politely declined. Someone grabbed her arm, and she found herself in the midst of yetis who were dancing and singing. Looking to her left, she saw that Jack was trapped in a similar situation. The circles converged, and she gave a desperate look to Jack, holding her stomach, which was becoming increasingly distressed. She felt a cold string around her neck, and discovered a mint-smelling necklace made entirely of snowflakes resting there; Jack was trying to yank a likewise neckpiece off his head. Suddenly, the blaring music stopped and the yetis made a ring around the both of them with North between Jack and her. As the mayhem cleared, North started to read from the book.

"I hereby declare Jack Frost and-"

"Wait, wait, hold up! We never said we wanted to be Guardians!" Jack exclaimed, interrupting North and silencing all the yetis. They dropped their horns and looked up to him with upset expressions. North slowly closed the book and raised an eyebrow at Jack, as if daring him to go ahead. Jack ignored him, and taking advantage of the silence, continued his explanation.

"We were forced into a sack and brought into the middle of the North Pole. We are no Guardians! We didn't even know all of you before we came here, and I most definitely don't want to get to know Bunny Rabbit right here." He stated, earning a scowl from Bunnymund. The silence which followed the comment was almost tangible, and (Y/N) giggled, she found the situation funny for some reason. Tooth looked at(Y/N), flew over to her and started looking at her teeth.

"Oooh! Look at her teeth! They're probably the best I've ever seen! Look at her molars! They're white as snow!" (Y/N) tried to tell her to stop, but found it rather impossible to speak when someone was hovering over you, poking this way and that in your mouth.

Bunnymund rolled his eyes at Tooth. "Tooth, get yourfingers out of the poor girl'smouth, " he spoke in his Australian accent, causing Tooth to reluctantly leave (Y/N)'s mouth alone. (Y/N) sighed in relief, and saw North looking sadly at Jack and her.

"You don't want to become Guardians?" He asked, with a melancholic look in his pale blue eyes. (Y/N) felt for him, but half-heartedly shook her head. She couldn't be a Guardian, could she?

"Sorry North, I guess we don't feel right being Guar-"

(Y/N) broke in the middle as she suddenly felt nauseous. Falling to her knees, she heard the crowd around her calling out her name, but a wave of dizziness reigned over her. Their voices sounded distant, as if she was submerged under water and their faraway calls were the shouts of life-guards. She saw a pale figure shake her shoulders -Jack? - and the last sound she heard was him shouting her name before she succumbed to the darkness.

~ (Imagine there being a little infirmary in the North Pole) ~

(Y/N) woke up on a little hospital bed. Harsh white light entered her eyes which caused her to shut her eye-lids. She felt a cool pillow under her head, and soft linen sheets over her. As her eyes adjusted to the light, she opened them and saw that she was lying on a white cot, which vaguely resembled a hospital bed. Electric equipment was neatly arranged around her bed, and some tubes connected her arms and chest to a few monitors. Periodic beeps sounded after regular intervals, which helped her get back in focus.

She heard yetis, North and Jack talking, their voices sounding muffled through her jumbled thoughts. She slowly removed a patch from her chest, and sat up, immediately regretting her decision, as pain coursed through her body. She turned to her right and saw a pale green curtain, which separated her from the people on the other side. She was about to call out for help, when she heard her name being said sharply. She knew she shouldn't eavesdrop, but couldn't help overhearing the conversers on the other side of the curtain.

"She has to be! There isn't any other explanation for why (Y/N) is like this." She heard North speaking. What was he talking about? Did she have some kind of disease? She inched closer to the curtain, to hear more.

"But is it even possible for Guardians to have kids?" Jack's voice sounded in her ears, laced with worry. Kids? Why were they talking about having kids?

Desperately wanting to gain more information, (Y/N) stepped down from the bed, wincing in pain. She grasped the head of the cot, and went to stand next to the curtain.

"I don't know, maybe we shou-"

The discussion unexpectedly stopped, as (Y/N) realized that she'd accidently upset a glass of water kept next to her bed, which lay shattered on the ground. She felt heat rise to her face, as she'd been caught listening in. Slowly, a pale hand, which she assumed to be Jack's, drew apart the curtain, and she saw two old yetis, North and a very distraught Jack on the other side. Jack came forward and hurriedly spoke up.

"Oh!(Y/N)! You're awake! I didn't know you'll wake up! Um...how're you feeling?" He tried to act casual but (Y/N) that they were hiding something from her. Jack never spoke so disturbed in normal circumstances, and the yetis were shuffling nervously behind him. Only North had a calm demeanour about him, but she suspected it was pretence.

"I'm fine, " she hesitantly allowed, "but I heard what you and North were talking about. What's the matter?" Jack's face paled, if it was possible for him to even look paler, and (Y/N) immediately sensed that something was wrong.

"We – we weren't talking about anything, " Jack laughed uneasily. "We were just wondering when you were gonna come around. Are you – are you hungry?"

(Y/N) took a deep breath and crossed her arms. He had never hidden something from her; why wasn't he opening up now?

"I heard you were talking about Guardians having kids. What about that?" She said. Jack looked like he was ready to be swallowed by the earth.

"Um...you heard that?" He stuttered. (Y/N) nodded. When he didn't continue, she tapped her foot and raised her brows at North. He coughed and urged Jack to continue.

"Yeah, uh, when you passed out and the yetis were testing you and stuff, they found out something..." Jack fidgeted and brushed a hand through his unkempt hair.

"Found out what, Jack?" She snapped, as her patience was wearing thin now.

Jack took a deep breath, preparing to deliver (Y/N) the news. His blue eyes locked with hers, and she saw that his pupils were extremely dilated. With a quivering voice, he told her the news, even though (Y/N) thought she already knew what he was going to say.

"You're pregnant (Y/N), and North thinks that I'm the father."

How was that? Terrible? Did I make you upset with the cliff-hanger?

Deal with it bro! Haha!

Love you guys! <3
