The Final Escape In the City

Prologue

"Listen Pablo,", Frank exclaims, his eyes focused on Pablo. "Today I have a bigger tip for you for this final match. I'm gonna put all of my money on Eden because i strongly believe he is gonna win this match tonight." Frank speaks to Pablo, sitting on his chair besides the fighting ring as the match goes on while the fans around the arena screams with excitement.

"Are you out of your mind Frank?," Pablo scoffs, raising his brow with contempt. "Elias is going to win this fight tonight, Mark my words."

Nathan releases the smoke of the cigarette from his nose, with a staleness of the scent, causing Frank to pull himself into a familiar grimace. "This match looks tough to put my bet on today, I think I'm gonna pass for today. Maybe next time."

Frank smirks, looking at Nathan with contempt on his face. "You are just a coward Nathan."

The lights on the arena are brighter, reflecting on the fighting ring, accompanied with screaming of fans inside around the arena as the match goes on while Pablo and his friends talks about business on their table as the match goes on.

Everyone inside the arena is enjoying the match, as the screams of the chanting fans continues to grow overtime as the match gets intense between Elias and Eden on the fighting ring. Pablo bends down besides his chair and takes his briefcase, dropping it down and opens it on the top of the table.

"Today I'm gonna put my bet on Elias for a hundred million dollar.", Pablo says, looking at Frank straight in the eyes while Nathan is on his chair, observing Frank and Pablo as they gamble, his cigarette pinched between in the teeth of his mouth.

"Are you insane Pablo?," Nathan exclaims, his eyes wide open."That is a lot of money to bet on somebody."

"Just relax will you," Pablo nods a little and looks at Nathan. "Don't worry I got this."

Pablo returns his gaze and looks at Frank, waiting to hear what frank is going to propose as the match goes on inside the arena.

Frank nods too, looking at Pablo straight in the eyes. "Okay that is fine Pablo," and takes a briefcase besides his chair, dropping it down on the top of the table and opens it. "But today I want to bet with you the amount worth a hundred and fifty million dollar, are willing to take a bet or not?."

Pablo's eye widens open, gasping and astonished with the amount proposed by Frank since he did not expect that Frank will have that large huge amount of money inside his briefcase for gambling.

Pablo sighs and looks at Nathan with a pleading face. "Listen Nathan, i want you to borrow me another fifty million dollar so that I can close the deal with this guy."

"No Pablo," Pablo exclaims, shaking his head with disagreement. "That is a lot of money to put on betting on someone, don't make a huge mistake of losing that huge amount of money that can end up ruining your businesses on the future."

Pablo scoffs. "Don't worry about that brother. I know what i'm doing. Just give me that fifty million and I promise you I will give it to you when the match is over."

Nathan sighs. "Okay fine as you say so but first let us watch the match. I will give it to you later when the match is over."

Pablo nods and smile. "Okay, thank you brother."

When Pablo finishes talking to Nathan, he then returns his gaze back to frank, looking at him straight in the eyes and replies. " Okay. I accept that."

The ref is inside the ring, moving around as the match between Elias and Eden proceeds, checking and observing any violations of the rules between the opponents. Eden's mother, Joyce, is at the fan stage, supporting her son Eden as the match goes on the fighting ring while being surrounded by the group of the screaming fans on the fan's bench. This match is one among the illegal matches which the drug lords around Mexico City holds for their gambling purposes in order gain more money apart from their businesses.

Eden is on the stage, shielding his face with his hands, moving around the combat stage waiting for the perfect time to strike. When Elias steps closer to Eden's space, releasing a punch by his right hand, Eden ducks and punches Elias back on the face, causing Elias to grunt with pain, looking at Eden with fury on his eyes, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike back while moving around the combat stage.

As Elias and Eden moves around the stage, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike each other, Elias darts quickly into Eden's space and jumps on the top of him, causing Eden to fall down on the ground, and then striking his face with a lot of punches until Eden loses consciousness. The ref rushes quickly to Elias and removes him on top of Eden after he breaks the rules, leaving Eden lying on the ground.

Eden's opens his eyes slowly, looking at the lights of the Arena as his ears are filled with silence, receiving the low vibration of the sound coming from the fans on the stage as the match continues going on. When Eden tries to wake up, crawling to the other side of the stage in order to grab the ropes and stand up while bleeding on his face, suddenly Elias rushes towards him and puts him into a neck lock, causing Eden to start choking.

Joyce on the fan's stage gasps, her mouth wide open after seeing her son choking on the stage while her heart hummers quickly, trembling all over her body. Joyce stands up from the bench and rushes towards the combat stage in a rush while Eden is at the stage trying to remove himself from the neck lock.

Eden starts to run out of breathe after staying on the lock for quite a long time, trying to remove himself by pulling Elias's feet with his hand using too much force while his head is filled with dizziness.

When Joyce arrives nearby the combat stage, she finds the combat stage surrounded with the security teams around it which makes Joyce hasty towards going to the combat stage as she checks on her son, trying to remove himself from the neck lock.

"What should I do now?," Joyce asks while trembling as she walks around the combat stage as the match goes on while her palms are sweaty." I need to get inside there so that I can tell the referee to stop the match."

After questioning herself without getting the right answers, Joyce decides to walk straight towards the combat stage, in rush in order to save her son as the match goes on inside the ring. When Joyce approaches the combat stage, the guards stops her on the way.

"Let me go, don't touch me," Joyce exclaims, looking at the guard with grimace. "I want to go inside the ring and help my son."

The security guard shakes his head. "No mom, we can't do that. It's strictly forbidden for anyone to enter inside the stage."

"Okay fine," Joyce sighs, looking at the combat stage while pointing her finger towards the combat direction." But can you please tell the referee to stop the match because I'm seeing my son choking up there on the stage without any help."

The guard shakes his head. "Sorry mom we can't do that, rules are rules. We are not allowed to cancel the match while it's on the middle; I hope you understand us Madam."

"What are you talking about," Joyce frowns and exclaims. "don't you see that my son he can't even breathe right now, uh!?."

"We understand that you're feeling so sacred to lose your son right now but the match will end soon when your son taps his hand down on the stage. Just be patient mom."

Joyce remains silent, looking confused as she doesn't know what to do in order to save her son as she moves around the stage, biting her nails while her hands trembles praying for her son not die. As the match continues, the fans starts to chant at Eden as they mock him repeatedly while clapping their hands.

"MAMA'S BOY," followed with claps, "MAMA'S BOY.", followed with claps.

The whole crowd stands and gets engaged, as everybody on the fans stage starts trolling on Eden.

When Eden hears voice of the fans trolling, he decides to try again his level best to free himself from Elias's neck lock but unfortunately his efforts seems to fail since his breathing is about to cut short due to the loss of strength.

As Eden is in the process of trying to free himself from Elias's neck lock, he then tilts his head and looks around the combat stage and then suddenly sees his mother standing outside of the combat stage, nervous while dropping tears on her face.

"You can do this son," Joyce shouts as soon as she sees her son looking at her from the stage. " Don't you ever give up too soon son."

At the time Joyce finishes shouting at her son, Eden's strength returns back fully into his body and then he pulls off Elias's feet from his neck with so much force while groaning in pain. When Eden succeeds to free himself from Elias's feet, he then turns quickly and looks at Elias's on the top, punching him on his face with so much force until Elias loses all of his strengths and remains unconscious.

When Eden stands up on the stage while Elias is down on the ground, the crowd goes silent as everyone on fans stage cannot believe what have just happened since they didn't expect that Eden could defeat Elias so suddenly. The ref goes and checks on Elias, calling him to respond for the match to proceeds. But after calling Elias for a long time without getting answered, the ref stands up from the ground and holds Eden hand declaring him as a winner.

"Damn it Elias!." Pablo exclaims, standing up from his chair, narrowing his eye with a familiar grimace on his face while looking at Elias on the combat stage.

Frank grins and stands up from his chair, patting Pablo's shoulder on the back, "I told you Pablo that Eden was gonna win this match but you didn't believe on me." When Frank finishes talking to Pablo, he then orders his guards to take the briefcases containing 300 million dollars straight to his car.

"Okay, I think I better leave you two since there is nothing to do here anymore. We will see each other next time." Frank and his guards leaves the fighting arena, leaving Pablo and Nathan standing together as Pablo looks at the stage completely shocked of what happened.

Nathan sighs and looks at Pablo. "Okay Pablo I have to go but I will need my money back by the end of the next month, you only have eight weeks left from now. Good luck."

Nathan leaves the arena together with his bodyguards, leaving Pablo standing alone while feeling confused on how he is going to get that huge amount of money in order to pay Nathan's money back and also sum of it to return it back to his businesses in order to avoid any future complications.

School Fees.

it is Monday early in the morning, a brand new day for everyone around the city as they prepare themselves in order to go to work while others goes to perform other duties and activities to earn a living. Isabella and Rachel are at the sitting room, waiting for Eden to finish up preparing himself in order to take them to school since they are running late and also fears to miss classes.

As the time passes while Isabella and Rachel are waiting for Eden to arrive at the sitting room, then they starts losing patient and gets worried about being late to school as they both checks at the time on the sitting room clock while wondering why Eden is taking so long to prepare himself.

"Eden. We are going to be late for school. Why are you taking so long to prepare yourself?." Isabella calls Eden in a louder voice.

"I will be there in a short while. Just give me a few seconds.", Eden replies to Isabella with a shouting voice.

After Eden's reply, Rachel and Isabella continue waiting for their brother to finish up preparing himself so that they can go to school while holding their bags since he is the one in charge of taking them to school today.

When Eden finishes preparing himself, he then leaves his room and goes straight to the sitting room in order to take his sisters straight to school. "Okay my little sisters. Now take your bags quickly because it is time to go to school.", Eden speaks.

Rachel and Isabella stands up from their seats and wears they school bags behind their back in preparation of going to school. When Rachel and Isabella looks at their brother's face, They immediately notices sadness on Eden's face by the look of his facial expressions and the sound of his tone.

"Are you okay Eden?. You look kinda sad today." Rachel asks with curiosity.

Eden nods and replies, "I'm alright Rachel. Don't worry about me."

"But you don't look alright from what I can see.", Isabella intervenes and speaks.

"It is just i didn't get enough sleep yesterday that's all. Don't worry about me let's just go to school."

"Okay as you say so.", Rachel replies.

Isabella scans around the sitting room looking for her mother but she seems nowhere to be found,"Have you talked to mom this morning?.", Isabella asks Eden.

Eden shakes his head in disagreement, "No I think she is still in her room sleeping. Let's not bother her today Okay?."

Isabella nods, "Okay."

Eden and his sisters decides to leave the house, heading on their way to school as they are on their way towards the house front door. But before Eden and his sister's leaves the house, Joyce comes out of her room in a rush and stops Eden immediately.

"Eden wait a minute. You forgot to pick up something." Joyce exclaims at Eden.

Eden and his sisters stops walking immediately after hearing their mother's voice from behind and then returns back to the sitting room. When Joyce arrives at the sitting room, she then goes straight to the kitchen and picks up two lunch boxes for Rachel and Isabella and then returns back to the sitting room. Joyce gives Rachel and Isabella their lunch boxes, and when they both receives their lunch boxes, Isabella and Rachel opens up their bags and puts their lunch boxes inside their bags.

"Good morning son." Joyce greets Eden while looking at him with a smile.

"Good morning." Eden replies to his mother.

"Eden. What is the problem you don't look good today?."

"It's nothing mom. I'm just so exhausted today that's all."

Joyce sighs, "Okay."

Joyce moves closer towards her son standing position and then whispers through his ear, "Eden I hope you will find the solutions to the things that we discussed yesterday and also I hope you will forgive me for the things that I have said to you but this is the best for you and your future.", Joyce speaks.

Eden nods and replies, "Okay. No problem."

When Eden and his mother finishes talking, Eden together with his sisters decides to leave the house and goes straight to school, leaving Joyce from behind waving goodbye at them.

After a long ride, finally Eden and his sisters arrives at school with their car on the school parking lot also luckily they manage to arrive at school on time. Shortly Eden decides to kill the car engine and climbs out of the car together with his sisters, taking them straight to their classes. When Eden arrives closer towards the school Entrance, he then stops and speaks to his sisters. "Okay it's running late right now. You should all rush to your classrooms okay?."

"Okay", Isabella nods and replies.

"Okay I will see you both later."

"Okay bye.", Rachel and Isabella says goodbye to Eden.

"Bye.", Eden replies.

Rachel and Isabella leaves Eden standing and then rushes to their classrooms before the beginning of their lessons while Eden looks at them from a far. In few moments while Eden is looking at his sisters, the school headmaster passes across the school hallway and then sees Eden outside the school parking lot with his car, looking at his sisters as they goes to their classrooms.

"Eden , Eden.", The school headmaster calls Eden from a far with a louder voice while waving his right hand as he goes towards him.

When Eden hears the voice of the school headmaster from a far, he then starts looking around for the person calling him from every angle of school, and later sees the head master waving his hand at him while standing at the school entrance stairs. Eden then decides to go to the headmaster in order to listen on what he is going to say to him.

"Good morning." Eden greets the headmaster as soon as he arrived at him.

"Good morning Mr. Eden. How are you doing today?.", The headmaster replies.

"I'm doing great thanks."

"That's good. Eden there is something important that I want to discuss with you in my office. Would you mind coming with me?."

Eden nods with confusion while wondering what thing that the headmaster wants to discuss with him on this time, "Okay sure."

Eden and the school headmaster decides to walk and goes to the office together as they passes around the school hallway while talking to each other. When Eden and the headmaster arrive inside the office, They both sits down together on their chairs and then starts talking to each other.

"Listen Eden!. There is something very important that I want to inform you about the changes in our school fees structures they are going to be used next months.", The headmaster speaks.

Eden frowns with confusion and asks, "What changes are you talking about here?. Don't tell me that you are going to double the amount again this time?."

The headmaster sighs and replies, "I'm sorry Eden but the owner of this school has decided to make some changes on the school fees and there is nothing that we can do about that. For now they will an addition of a hundred dollar on every student's school fees in this school."

Eden stands up from his chair with so much anger and then looks at the headmaster with a stern look, "Does your owner thinks that getting money it's easy uh!. Tell me?."

The headmaster decides to remain silent while looking at Eden not knowing what to say or answer to him since it is his duty to inform all of the parents concerning the changes of the school fees but he is not involved in making those changes.

Eden continues speaking with anger, "This year haven't passed yet and your school owner wants to double the amount the school fees this year?.Seriously?. Who the hell does he thinks he is?."

"I understand you Eden but i have no say on this. I'm just simply doing my job to inform all the parents about the changes of the fees that is all but I'm not responsible for making the final decisions concerning this school.", The headmaster replies.

Eden decides to leave the headmaster's office, slamming the headmaster's office door from behind leaving the school headmaster quite surprised of Eden's behavior.

When Eden arrives at the school parking lot, he seems to be lost and confused after hearing the news concerning the changes of school fees since he doesn't know what to do as he currently doesn't have any Job for the moment and also the responsibility keeps on rising up as the time goes on. While Eden is thinking, shortly a vision flashes inside his head and then he decides to take his phone and calls his friend Andrew.

"What's up brother?.", Eden speaks immediately after Andrew picks up his phone.

"What's up, how are you doing brother?." Andrew replies to Eden.

"Not so good.."

"What's wrong Eden?. What is bothering you?.", Andrew asks.

"Yes there is. We will talk about it when I arrive at your restaurant today.", Eden replies.

"Okay sure I will be waiting for you."

"Okay."

When Eden finishes talking to Andrew, then he hangs up his phone and climbs inside his car. Eden car's engine roars back to life and then Eden decides to leave the school parking lot heading to Andrew's restaurant.

Elias's training.

It's 5:30 pm in the evening as Elias is inside the gym together with his trainer Thomas striking the punching bag as they prepare themselves in the preparation of new season of MMA underground matches which are going to start soon in Mexico City on which some of the Mafia around the city usually like to watch this matches for their gambling interests.

While Elias is doing his workout on the punching bag while striking the Punching bag so hard, Thomas then starts to shout at Elias while holding the punching bag.

"What the hell were you thinking about back then at the stage?. Why did you let Eden defeat you on that final match while you almost won it."

Elias's face turns red with anger after hearing the words coming out of Thomas's mouth as he continues doing his workout and then decides to ignore Thomas while Thomas continues speaking to him as he is doing his workout.

Thomas speaks, "Did you know how disappointed we were when you lost that match to Eden uh!?, Why did you lose to him, tell me?."

Elias strikes the punching bag so hard with so much force and then exclaims at Thomas with so much anger, "Okay- stop- That is enough. Okay."

"How am i gonna stop Elias. Do you actually know how much we have lost because of you and your stupid mistakes.", Thomas replies.

Elias sighs and replies, "Okay, i know that we have lost a lot of money from our sponsors but please do not keep reminding me of that every time we practice, Okay?."

Thomas sighs and leaves the punching bag and walks closer towards Eden's standing position, "How am i gonna stop reminding you Elias, Do you actually know how furious the boss was when you lost that match?.", Thomas speaks.

"Yes i know how furious he was but there is no need of reminding me about that every time, I'm so sick and tired of hearing about that shit, Okay?."

After Elias is done talking to Thomas, he then decides to leave the punching bag training spot and goes to the nearby bench and sits down and rest.

While Elias is sitting on the bench drinking his water, Thomas then follows him behind to the place where he is sitting and sits down besides him and speaks.

"Elias, Are you gonna train again after resting?", Thomas asks with confusion.

"No thanks, I'm not in the mood right now" ,Elias shakes his head with disagreement and replies.

"Okay then we will proceed with our training tomorrow."

Elias continues drinking his water as he cools off himself after a long session of training with Thomas while Thomas looks at him as Elias drinks his water.

"I'm sorry Elias for what i have said to you but there is something that i want to inform you."

"What is it?.", Elias raises his eyebrow with confusion and replies.

"The boss wants you to participate in a friendly rematch between you and Eden next month."

"What?, That is impossible. There is no way I'm gonna participate in that match right now i simply can't.", Elias frowns and replies to Thomas

"But Elias you have no choice but to do as the boss says or else things may end up turning ugly."

"No,No and No. There is no way that I'm gonna participate in that friendly match. I'm sick and tired of your boss bullshit.", Elias replies with a stern look on his face.

Thomas sighs and replies, "Okay then as you say so but remember this brother, Pablo is a very powerful man in Mexico city so it is better if you agree on what he says rather than causing more chaos or else this is gonna end up really badly."

"I don't really care about what he will do to me or what but I'm not gonna do whatever he wants from me anymore."

"Okay as you say so", Thomas sighs and replies.

Thomas and Elias continue talking to each other while sitting down together on the bench discussing about their training schedules and the plans for the future training.

In a few moments while Elias and Thomas are talking to each other at the bench as they are discussing on the bench. The group of men wearing the black suits enters inside the gym in a rush, and when Elias sees them, he then pats Thomas's shoulder while calling him.

"Thomas, Thomas, Look, who are those people that have entered inside the gym right now?.", Elias asks with fear look on his face.

Thomas turns and Looks behind him to see the people Elias is talking about, and When he sees Pablo coming towards them, he then commands Elias to stand up really quickly from the bench.

"Elias stand up right now, the boss is coming."

Elias stands up really quickly after being told to stand, waiting for Pablo to arrive at their place. when Pablo approaches Elias and Thomas, he then starts by greeting.

"Good evening young men, How are you all doing today?" ,Pablo asks.

"We are doing great sir. Thanks.", Thomas replies to Pablo with a broad Smile on his face.

"So, how is your training going on?.", Pablo asks.

"It's going great sir, we are still working on some few Elias's weaknesses but soon he will be ready for the session.", Thomas replies to Pablo.

"That is good to hear because i don't want any sort of disappointment later in that match, I really need to return my money at any cost, do you understand?."

"Yes boss, don't worry about that, we will not disappoint you this time I promise you.", Thomas replies.

Elias remains silent without saying a single word as Thomas and Pablo continues talking about the match preparations plans between him and Eden while Elias speaks to his inner thoughts.

"I have to find the best way to stop this from happening, there is no way I'm going allow this from happening."

While Elias is standing while talking to his inner thoughts, Thomas and Pablo decides to leave Elias and then goes outside of the gym in order to discuss some of other things quietly and privately about their issues, leaving Elias behind standing.

In a few moments while Elias is waiting for Thomas to return back to the gym, his cellphone rings inside his bag and then he decides to take it and answers it.

"Hello.", Elias speaks.

"Darling, where are you right now, why are taking so long to return back home?."

"I'm on my way right now. I will be there in a short while."

"Okay I'm waiting for you."

Elias hangs up his phone and then starts preparing himself in order to go home as he packs his things inside the bag. When Elias is done preparing himself, he then leaves the gym and goes straight back to his home in order to meet up with his wife, leaving Thomas and Pablo discussing their things outside the gym.
