"The same day that Elizabeth found out that a life starts to grow inside her, Charles asked her to sign papers she never thought that she would ever receive. "Ellie, sign this," Charles said and put down the envelope he was holding on top of the glass table. "What is that?" She asked while looking at the envelope. It was the first time that Charles wanted her to sign something and she doubted if it had something to do with the business. "Divorce paper," Charles simply said while looking at her. Upon hearing the words that came out from Charles, Elizabeth was unable to open her mouth. She felt like her heart was stabbed by a sharp knife and how she wished that she had just died that day. "Babe... Charles baby..." Elizabeth heard that endearment, coming from Elaine Imperial. She's Charles' childhood sweetheart. She felt a bucket of cold water pour out all over her body. Without a second thought, she immediately signed the divorce paper. Then, she turned back to hide the tears that were flowing down from her eyes."

Chapter 1 No.1

'Ch--- Charles," Elizabeth called the man in a pleading voice. "Pl---please," she continued begging.

Again, Charles forced her.

She couldn t do anything because her strength was nothing compared to his strength.

Though everything that was happening was not new at all. Charles was always expected to make love to her whenever he was under the influence of alcohol and she couldn t believe that she was in that situation.

But, she accepted it. Maybe, it was her fate.

Love making as what other call it but for her and charles, it was just a three letter word, SEX. Though they were married, they never had a chance to have a decent sex for that matter. Well, they had. But that was when Charles took her virginity.

It was the first and the last. She couldn t forget it because it caused her a lot of pain. She felt like she was being torn into two.

Elizabeth was hurt beyond words.

She wasn t just hurt physically because of the fact that it was her first time. That time, she felt that her heart was also bleeding inside. She felt the pain in her heart.

It was a pain that she would never forget in her entire life.

It was still all clear to her. All the memories of that night were so vivid to her.

Charles was on her top while he was thrusting with all his might and moved faster as he could. When he was about to reach his climax, Charles mentioned the name of his childhood sweetheart, Elaine Imperial.

Elizabeth felt like she was stabbed by a hundred knives as she felt the sharp pain inside her heart. In an instant, she felt like her world had crashed.

Well, who wouldn t feel that way? Who wouldn t feel that the world had shattered if her husband would be calling out another woman s name in the middle of their love making? Or, should she call it just sex between her and Charles?

She was hurt. She was in pain not just because of what she heard from Charles but also because of the physical hurt brought by the sudden shattering of her femininity.

It was gentle and yet heartbreaking.

That night, Charles was also under the influence of alcohol and the only difference was, the man treated her like a fragile object back then.

It was the first and the last time she had experienced that kind of moment every time that Charles would get inside her.

What a memorable night it was indeed!

She couldn t forget that night because her heart was deeply wounded that time and she was sure that it left a scar inside her heart.

Her husband, Charles, broke her heart into a thousand pieces. She begged and begged but Charles never paid attention to her pleas.

He continued to screw her.

After one hard thrust, finally, Charles fell next to her. She could even hear him panting.

Elizabeth could even hear their heartbeats as the man s body was just next to her. She could see as Charlesshoulder went up and down because he was chasing his breath.

She just closed her eyes and let the tears flow from the corner of her eyes until she could feel the liquid reached her earlobe.

It was all she could do. Cry and suffer in silence.

Just after a few minutes, she already heard Charles snoring.

She slowly moved and distanced herself from Charles. Then, she slowly stepped down from their matrimonial bed.

While tears were still dripping down her eyes, Elizabeth slowly picked up each of the clothes that she was wearing earlier before Charles came inside their room and forced her to do what he wanted.

She went on the other side of the bed and covered Charlesnaked body.

She turned her back and then, she walked heading to the washroom to get a quick shower.

Elizabeth was hoping that the water could wash away all the emotions that were inside her heart.

"Good morning," she greeted Charles with a smile on her lips as soon as she saw the man enter the dining room. Charles only looked at her blankly. He didn t even bother to open his mouth to greet her back.

He pulled a chair and then sat down at the dining table.

Elizabeth just quietly pulled the chair next to Charles as she was trying to comfort herself.

"That s okay, Elizabeth. Your husband isn t in a good mood today. Probably, there are a lot of things going on at the office," she whispered silently to herself. This was her way to comfort herself every time that she received this cold treatment from her husband.

Since they started living together, Charles had never been nice to her. It was like she never existed at their house.

Elizabeth took a deep breath as she made herself busy devouring the food that their Nanny had prepared for them.

Just after a couple of minutes, she heard Charle s chair move as he got up.

"Are you already done?" She said though she knew that the man wouldn t pay attention to her. She wasn't mistaken. Charles didn t even give her a glance. "Please take care and I hope you have a nice day at work," she added as she bid goodbye. She still said those caring words while looking at the man who didn t even bother to look at her.

Charles just walked out of the room as if he didn t hear her. He left without looking at her nor a word.

She was used to the cold shoulder treatment that she was receiving from Charles. Charles never treated her nice. He never acted like he was a husband to her.

The way Charles acted, it was not new at all to her. It was part of her daily life since she lived on the same roof with Charles. Back then, her tears would flow down her cheek every time that Charles would ignore her but this time, she just shrugged her shoulders.

Her heart got used to the pain and she couldn t cry any tears anymore. It was as if she already got tired of thinking about him and how their relationship would work out.

She couldn t demand anything or say anything to the man because she knew no matter what she would do, he wouldn t be paying any attention to her.

That was the truth. She was suffering in silence because of Charles but since he was her husband, she chose to stay by his side no matter what just like what they said during their wedding.

For better or worse.

Though she was emotionally exhausted, she still chose to show care to her husband. It wouldn t make any sense if she would meet his bad mood with her in a bad mood, if she did that, it would just ignite the fire and their relationship might get ruined.

It s better that she was being ignored than for the man to leave her.

She was in deep thought when all of a sudden, she felt a hand on her shoulders.

She smiled bitterly. She didn t know what to say.

"My dear, you are so kind. I hope you won't lose hope. I know that one day, he would realise how much you have loved him and cared for him. I hope you won't get sick of him. I know that someday, the two of you will be okay," her Nanny s voice brought her back to her senses.

The woman rubbed her back as if she was comforting her from the cold treatment that she was getting from her husband.

Elizabeth held Nanny Maria's hand as she lifted her head and met Nanny Maria's eyes. She could see how much she cared for her by looking into her eyes.

"I will patiently wait for him, Nanny Maria. I will just stay by his side as long as I can. I know it s been hard but I am already here. All I need to do is to be patient until he realizes that I exist in his life and I am someone that he could defend on," she whispered and smiled at the old woman.

"By the way, Nanny Maria, could you accompany me to my obstetrics gynaecology?" She added and she bit her lower lips when she realized what she had said. She knew her Nanny and she might be thinking something else.

She was right. She saw how Nanny Maria's eyes went wide open after she heard what she just said.

Elizabeth shook her head and continued speaking.

"Nanny," she uttered. "Please, don t be excited. I am not pregnant like what you are thinking now," she giggled.

"Silly, What do you think of me?" She said while she shook her head. Nanny Maria looked into her eyes. "I have been with you since you were small, do you think I don t know what s happening to you? I know you very well. You can t hide anything from me," she added.

"Well, I am just going to confirm it because I am not sure yet. I am just two days late but I wanted to check," she said and then she shrugged her shoulders as she got up from her chair.

"What time are we leaving?" Nanny Maria asked her.

"After an hour? I am just going to visit the garden," she replied and then she came out of the dining room.

She walked straight to the main door and then she turned to the left side just near the main door where her small garden was

She loved to plant.

She even collected cacti and roses. Though, her garden was already filled with different flowering plants.

Elizabeth and her Nanny Maria were very happy to hear the good news.

She was so happy to know that for the third time, she got pregnant again.

Nanny Maria was rubbing her back while she was sobbing.

She couldn t help but feel emotional after hearing the news. She couldn t hide the happiness that she felt at the moment.

"Congratulations, dear. For the third time, you have a life inside you. So, take care and you must be extra careful," Dr. Lynette said to her. She was her doctor and at the same time she was like a mother to her. She s her mother s best friend. Her son was her childhood friend too.

"Thank you, Doctor," she replied as she took the tissue that the woman handed to her so she could wipe her tears.

"Again, please don t stress yourself. You have to do everything that I wanted you to do. Drink your vitamins regularly and you have to make sure you are eating healthy food," the doctor instructed her.

"Yes, Doc. I will always remember everything that you said," she replied and smiled at the woman.

They already came out of the room when she saw a couple approaching. The man was holding the bag and the wrist of the woman that had a big baby bump already.

All of a sudden, jealousy struck her inside. She couldn t explain by envious overwhelmed her. The woman was lucky to have this man, she said inside her mind. Out of the blue, she wished that Charles was on her side. How she wished that her husband was there with her and celebrating the milestone in their relationship.

How she wished she was with her and saw him jump in joy because finally, for the third time around, they would have a chance to be parents.

Elizabeth couldn t help but feel the pinch inside her heart because of these thoughts that were popping inside her head.

She took a deep breath.

"Be strong for the sake of your baby. I know it s hard but your baby needs you and you have to be brave because of the life inside you. Whatever you feel, your baby will get affected so you have to be always positive though I know how it is so hard for you," her Nanny Maria whispered, that gave her the courage.

Chapter 2 No.2

Elizabeth was standing in the corner while she was staring at her ex-husband, Charles. She's there to watch the engagement party of her husband.

She couldn't describe the emotions that were inside her. She couldn't even understand why she was at that place. It was as if she was torturing herself.

A beginning for them was an end for her.

She was looking at him while he was getting engaged to his childhood sweetheart, no other than Elaine Imperial.

After three years of being married, Elizabeth and Charles ended up getting divorced.

She felt bitter about it but there's nothing that she could do. Everything between her and Charles already came to an end. She could never put a question mark on something he had already put a period on.

Two weeks ago, Charles came home from work. She was in the garden and busy watering her plants.

She was surprised when she heard him calling out her name as soon as he entered the house.

For the first time in their married life, her husband came home looking for her. She heard him calling out her name and it was music to her ears.

"Ellie..." Charles called her name. She felt like her heart skipped a beat as she thought that finally, Charles, saw her as his wife.

"Ellie..." He continued calling her out when she didn't answer.

She shouted from the garden which was located near their living room. She was busy watering her plants.

It was how she spent all her afternoon at their house when Charles was at work.

It was summer time so the weather was hot as expected. So, she decided to water her plants before they all dried off and worse, died because of the heat.

She waited for so long for them to bloom that's why she couldn't just let them die. They were her listeners to the stories she had no chance to talk about with her husband.

Her plants were the witness of the hurt that she bore from the cold treatment she received from her husband but today, it seemed to be different.

Charles was looking for her.

"I am here," she shouted so Charles knew that she was in the garden.

Elizabeth could hear her heart beating so fast. It was so loud that it was already deafening. She couldn't hide the excitement that she suddenly felt when she heard Charles' voice.

Every time that Charles comes back home from work, he goes straight to their bedroom or to the study room. The man didn't even care if she was home or not. He didn't care if she was still breathing or not.

For Charles, it was as if she never existed in his life. More often than not, she felt like she was married but not.

She felt like she was an unmarried wife. Funny, for her to think of that but she had a husband and yet she couldn't feel his presence in her life.

Well, he couldn't be blamed. Wasn't she the one who forced him to marry her? So, Elizabeth needed to face the consequences of that.

She knew from the very start that Charles wasn't into her but she was blinded by her feelings. She thought she would live life in fairy tales. She never thought that her life would be like a living hell in Charles' arms.

Elizabeth thought that she was still lucky enough because the man chose to give their marriage a chance but not until that afternoon where she cried a bucket of tears.

Charles was freed after she signed the divorce papers that the man handed to her.

Though she couldn't deny to herself the pain that she felt when she heard what the papers were about, she still signed them.

In every stroke of the pen, she felt like she was slicing her heart with a knife using her own hands.

It was not hidden to her knowledge that for the longest time, this was what Charles wanted so he could marry his childhood sweetheart, Elaine Imperial. She was the woman who owned her husband's heart.

And though this was the way how everything ended between her and Charles, she was still happy.

Despite the fact that the man wasn't able to reciprocate the love that she had for him for almost fifteen years, she was still grateful. She was thankful beyond words that she had the chance to spend her life with Charles even just for a short time.

She admitted that it wasn't the kind of married life she dreamt of but Elizabeth was still thankful. If it wasn't for that chance that Charles gave to their marriage, she wouldn't have a life growing inside her stomach.

She was two weeks pregnant when Charles asked her to sign the divorce paper. The day that Charles came home looking for her was also the same day that she planned to surprise him and let him know that they would be having a baby after two miscarriages.

Elizabeth and Charles' marriage was just an arranged marriage. Despite the kind of marriage they had, Charles wanted her to carry his heir. He said that if she would be able to give him an heir then, he might be able to love her like she had always hoped.

She thought that finally, for the third time, she would be able to fulfill his request and they could live like a happy family like what she always imagined.

Her grandmother was Charler's grandmother's best friend. The two old ladies were already dead two years ago. The reason why they got married was already gone. However, Charles gave their married life a chance and that's if they would have a child within a year.

It was exactly on their third year wedding anniversary when Charles went in front of her holding an envelope.

It never came in her mind that the man would ask that very day to sign the divorce papers.

That day, he was looking for her as soon as he went inside their house and when he found her in the garden, Charles didn't waste time.

It was still vivid in her memory. She could still recall everything that happened and even all the emotions that she felt that time.

It was a painful encounter.

Charles came in holding an envelope while she was watering her plants in her garden.

"Ellie, sign this," Charles said as he put down the envelope at the top of the glass table.

Charles never spent time with her in the garden. She was always with her best friend Selena or Nanny Maria. They were the two people who never got tired of listening to her endless stories of pain and hurt caused by her husband.

"What is that?" She couldn't help but ask. It was the first time that Charles asked her to sign something. She couldn't help but wonder what it was.

Suddenly, the excitement that she felt earlier changed into something that she couldn't explain. Her heart rate doubled as she stared at the envelope on the top of the glass table.

"It's the divorce papers," Charles said without beating around the bush. He was looking intently at her. "You just need to sign it and I will take care of everything," he added as if her opinion doesn't matter anymore.

It was like a bomb dropped in front of her. She felt like her knees turned into jelly.

Elizabeth wasn't prepared to hear what Charles just said. She felt like her heart was stabbed by a sharp object.

It was as if there was something heavy that fell on her stomach that made her unable to breathe properly.

She suddenly wished that she just died. She wished like plants, she was just dying.

She never expected to hear those words from Charles, all she had on her mind was the baby that they were about to have.

Not this soon. She thought she still had the time to prove that she could give him an heir. So, what's happening?

She thought that once she let him know about her pregnancy, he wouldn't file a divorce but the man didn't even give her a chance to tell him the surprise that she had for him.

She was staring blankly at the divorce paper that he placed on the top of the glass table.

She felt like her body was shaking as she was trying to digest what he said.

Divorce papers. Was this how everything that she sacrificed would end?

She knew that she was trembling because of shock.

"Hey, what else are you looking at? Hurry up!" Charles yelled at her which made her startled. She felt like her heart had already fallen because of the growling voice of the man.

Why she haven't learned? Wasn't Charles always like this every time that he wanted something from her?

Why did she raise her hopes so high and now she felt like her whole world crashed because of what the man wanted her to do?

"Are you just going to stand there? What else are you waiting for? Go and sign that paper," Charles yelled again. "I couldn't believe I had a wife like you. Goodness!"

Elizabeth tried her best to take a step and do what Charles wanted her to do. She slowly walked towards the table where Charles was standing next to it.

Charles shook his head while looking at her and then he clicked his tongue.

"For God sake, Ellie! Can you act a bit faster? You're so slow, you know? Like a snail. That's what exactly I hate about you," Charles shouted impatiently.

She could sense the irritation from his voice.

She looked at the man's face and she could see that annoyance was written all over his face. Charles quickly looked away when she tried to look at his eyes.

There were a lot of questions that were running through her mind especially now that she's pregnant with Charles' child.

Why was fate so cruel to her? She waited for so long to conceive again and when it happened, Charles wanted them to have a divorce. Life was just so unfair.

"C--- Can I ask you wh--- why?" Elizabeth stammered as she tried to get an answer for the questions that she hadinside her mind. "Wh--- why did you want us to get a divorce? Why all of a sudden? Isn't today our third wedding anniversary? I even prepared a yummy dinner for us. I was hoping that you would like it. I prepared all your favourite dishes," she said in a crack voice. Elizabeth couldn't contain her emotions anymore. She didn't notice that her tears were already dripping from her eyes.

She saw that Charles was about to open his mouth but before words could come out, they suddenly heard a voice echoing to the living room. It was calling for Charles.

"Babe..." Elizabeth couldn't be mistaken, the voice was familiar to her. She felt like there was a bucket of cold water that was poured out all over her body. That endearment, she knew who it was.

Without waiting for Charles to answer, she immediately signed the divorce paper.

She turned around and then she took the water hose. She continued whatever she was doing before Charles arrived.

Elizabeth didn't bother to turn her head and checked Charles. He already had what he wanted so there was no sense to check on him.

She watered the plants as her tears continued to flow out from her eyes. Her tears were unstoppable like the water coming out from the hose. She cried her heart out while praying for the strength for her to get through this dark moment of her life.

"Congratulations!"

"Congratulations!"

The people shouted as they clapped their hands and this dragged her back to her senses.

Before everyone could notice her, she turned her back and came out of the banquet but before she could reach her car, she felt a hard thing hit her from behind.

Chapter 3 No.3

Elizabeth didn't waste time. She couldn't stand the atmosphere any longer.

While everyone else was happy, she felt like her whole world crashed right in front of her. She felt like she was about to explode because of all the emotions that were inside her heart.

She was starting to feel heaviness on her chest while she was staring at the couple who were standing at the front.

She went immediately to the parking area where she left her car but before she could even reach her car, a loud bang echoed in the place.

She felt a hard thing hit her head from behind. Her eyes started to get blurry and before she could respond, she was already unconscious.

Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes as she heard the chirping sound of birds coming from nearby. She slightly covered her eyes with her hands because she was blinded by the ray of sunlight passing through the windows.

She looked around the unfamiliar room. It was painted with cream colour and she could inhale a lemon scent inside the room.

"Ahh..." She uttered when she felt pain in her temple.

She touched her forehead as she felt the pain around her head. Her eyebrows were knitted when she felt a fabric on it.

She followed the fabric and she realized that it was a bandage wrapped around her head.

"What happened to me?" She whispered to herself.

Elizabeth closed her eyes as she tried to remember what happened to her. She suddenly felt a pain inside her heart like it was stabbed by a sharp knife. She felt like she was running out of breath.

Everything was clear to her. She could remember what happened at the banquet. Charles was so happy with Elaine Imperial, the woman who was replacing her place as Mrs. Jones.

She didn't notice that she was already crying as her vision was getting blurry.

"I am sorry for what happened," a man's voice echoed inside the room but she didn't bother to look at him. All she wanted to do was to cry about everything that she was feeling. She didn't even care what the man would think about her or what was the reason why she was crying.

She felt like she was going to explode if she wouldn't let out all the emotions that were stuck inside her.

Yesterday was the end of everything for her and Charles. She never thought that the love she had for the man for fifteen long years never was enough for the man to love her just like the way she had loved him.

Though she suffered in silence when they were still together, it was never enough for her to hate her. It never was enough for all the love she had for him to fade, in fact, she had loved him more everyday.

Despite Charles' cold treatment towards her, she never loved him less in the whole duration of their marriage. So, she couldn't understand why he needed to leave her. He didn't hear her complaint. She accepted everything that he had done towards her but why did he have to go?

The man coughed. He was as if trying to get her attention.

And, even though her vision was blurry, she could still see the white thing in front of her. She didn't notice that the man was already standing next to the bed where she was lying down.

She was so engrossed with the pain and sadness that she was feeling because of Charles and Elaine's engagement.

"I am sorry," she heard the man apologize to her again.

She wiped her tears and now she could clearly see the man who was standing in front of her.

He was wearing a striped polo shirt with blue jeans. He has an attractive jawline and a pair of hazel brown eyes with thick eyebrows that were perfectly curved.

His thick eyelashes and heart-shaped lips made the man look more attractive and at the same time gave a mysterious effect on his look.

His polo shirt was perfectly fit to him and it emphasized his perfect body built and broad shoulders. She could say that it wasn't too muscular but pleasing to the eyes.

This man had an oozing sex appeal.

She was holding her breath while looking at him when suddenly, she realized that the man seemed to look like her ex-husband. Their only difference was their faces and Charles had a pair of blue eyes while this man had colour brown eyes which she must admit made the man look more attractive in her eyes.

She wished that her child would get those blue eyes of her ex husband. Those pairs of blue eyes were the ones who caught her young heart and up to now made her heart a slave of her love for Charles.

But, before Elizabeth could even speak, the door suddenly opened and to her surprise, she heard the worried voice that was coming from her Nanny Maria.

"Ellie, my dear, what happened to you? Are you okay? Is there something that hurts? " Elizabeth looked in her Nanny Maria's direction who asked her questions one after the other. The old woman must have been very worried about her.

"Nanny Maria," she called the woman, she's been working with them since she was young, "How did you know that I am here? And, where am I?" She asked as she watched her Nanny Maria walk towards her direction. Her Nanny Maria was standing on the other side of the bed opposite where the man was.

Nanny Maria was looking at the man who was on her right side. She followed her Nanny's gaze and she found herself looking at the man as well.

The man cleared his throat.

"You are in my villa," the man said and then their eyes met. Elizabeth felt like she was like a melting candle because of the way that the man was looking at her.She couldn't explain the effect of his eyes. It was as if it was passing through her inner being.

"After the accident that happened yesterday. I brought you here. You were unconscious for more than fifteen hours and I do not know who I should call and fortunately, your phone rang in the middle of the night. I didn' hesitate to answer it hoping that it was one of your family members and they were looking for you. I wasn't mistaken. It was your Nanny and I told her right away that you are here at my villa," the man narrated and her Nanny was nodding as the man spoke.

Elizabeth felt the hand of her Nanny Maria gently caressing her forearm.

"My dear, why did you leave on your own? Why didn't you let me accompany you yesterday? You don't know how worried I am about you. Please, don't do this again or else I will die because of worrying," Nanny Maria said to her and until now, she could see the worry and concern in her Aunt's face.

She felt guilty. She knew that she had been selfish on that part.

"I am sorry, Nanny. It's just that," she paused. Elizabeth bit her lower lip as she felt a pinch in her heart just by simply recalling everything that she witnessed yesterday. "I thought I was strong enough to see it but in the end, I ran away because of the pain that I started to feel. I couldn't bear the hurt and if only I could wish just to die," she sobbed and she couldn't continue what she was saying. The pain was just too much for her.

She failed to fight back the tears from her eyes. She doesn't know how long she would be crying but she was hoping that it would ease the pain that she had inside her heart.

She felt so bad that she wasn't able to give the happiness that she saw in Charles' face yesterday. The man was so happy while he was with Elaine. They were a picture-perfect couple and she couldn't help but wonder. What Elaine has that Charles hasn't seen on her?

Why did her love for the man that she had cherished for fifteen long years never been enough for him to stay by her side?

"So, are you there to witness the engagement of Charles Jones to his childhood sweetheart, Elaine Imperial? Is that the reason why you came out of nowhere in the parking lot?" The man mumbled, which made her frown.

She quickly turned her head to the man with her eyes asking him about what he just said.

"Do you know my ex-husband? How did you know Charles? Are you their friend?" She asked one after the other and then she saw the man smirked.

"Yes, I do and I think I know him more than you do," the man replied in a bland voice. The man shook his head as hate quickly crossed his face and it didn't escape from her sight.

"So, you are Elizabeth, my sister-in-law," the man added, which made her more curious. Why did he call her his sister-in-law? How was he related to her ex-husband? She couldn't remember that Charles had a brother.

"Based on your reaction, I can say that you are wondering who I am. Is that right?" He spoke again when she didn't give any reaction to what he previously said. "Well, I am sure that your dearest husband, who broke your heart, didn't mention anything about me," the man added while staring at her and then he looked at her Nanny Maria.

He let out a soft sarcastic laugh and that was the only sound that they heard inside the room.

She felt like she had swallowed her tongue and she didn't know what to say. She couldn't help but wonder who was this man inside the room with them. Why does he sound like he knew a lot about her ex-husband?

"Well," the man opened his mouth again. "It's all maybe because your dear husband never considered me as his brother. He never considered me as a part of the family because he couldn't accept the fact that his mother was the reason why my parents' relationship was ruined. His mother was the reason why I grew up without a father. My family was broken because of his mother. Your husband's mother is a homewrecker and a certified gold digger. She seduced my father. She wanted to have a child with him so that she could have a part of our wealth and experience the life that my mother had. She was a selfish and ambitious woman," the man narrated.

Elizabeth could feel his anger towards Charles and Charles' mother in every word that he uttered.

She was confused.

What does he mean in everything that he said? She didn't know if she should believe all his revelations or not. She had no idea about it and she didn't know him. It's hard to tell if he was saying that truth or not.

The man was right. Charles never mentioned anything about him. He never mentioned anything about him having a brother.

Though there was a time when she overheard Charles' grandmother as she scolded her mother-in-law. The old woman was saying to Charle's mother that they need to give the share of Charles' brother. It was a share that rightfully belonged to his brother and that made her curious. She never got the chance to meet the man. Charles didn't even say anything about his brother.

"Why are you quiet? Should I better introduce myself to you? Should I tell you my real name?" The man said as he was looking intently at her.

Still, no words came out from her as she tried to digest everything that she heard from the man.

"I am Albert Jones Jr. I am named after our father Albert Jones Sr and I am Charles Jones' big brother," Albert introduced himself confidently in front of Elizabeth.
