The Entangled Prince's Choice

The thunder clapped very hard as bright lightning graced the sky in the span of minutes. The rain pour was so heavy that everywhere felt like it would be removed and washed away with it. The thickness of the darkness was on another level as it was so thick no one could see what was in front even if they had a light with them.

"Let's visit the prison" the king suddenly sprang up and told his right hand man who was already dozing off by the right side of the room

"The prison? By this time of the night? My king you can't go. Even the rain is falling and the darkness is blinding" Poor obi protested at the sudden request of the king which would soon turn to an order nevertheless

"Are you getting ready or you still want to ask me why further?" the king thundered and just like he had said, it's now an order

"Yes, my king. We can move now" Obi replied immediately as soon as he sent a signal to the other guards through his mind lin and they all gathered within minutes.

"Good" the king muttered as he draped the big leather rain jacket over his shoulder to set it well, fastened his belt and headed for the door before Obi ran in with his rubber shoes which he slipped into because of the pouring rain.

As soon as he stepped out of the patio which was empty and silent, thanks to the heavy downpour, they were experiencing in the pack.

Obi quickly opened the royal umbrella with golden wolves imprint on them and covered the Alpha's head to protect him from the rain while they all trooped behind. They had various lamps lit on in their covers so the rain wouldn't quench them and surrounded both the King and Obi who held the umbrella for guidance.

They marched to the prison swiftly and the light revealed a woman who was alone in the cell on the cold floor with just a tiny robe on. She sat on her legs in a meditating manner and closed her eyes even though the breeze was chilly and killing, she didn't react and just sat there.

As soon as she heard the footsteps approaching, she slowly opened her eyes to see the Alpha King standing in front of her, water dripping from his rain jacket and lights were everywhere. The look of concern etched on his face as he watched the poor young woman alone in the silent prison.

"Leia"

the king gently called out to her but she just smiled a bit in return.

"My king, you didn't have to come all the way here. The rain is too much and the night is too cold. What if you catch a cold?" she greatly replied and the King shook his head continuously

"Forget the cold, you will be the first to die of one at this rate" he replied with his voice laced with worry

"Don't worry my King, I am fine! This place is warmer than you think. So what brings you here?" she asked looking up to him

"You were telling me something before you were arrested. I don't understand what you mean" he asked moving closer

"The Princes as you know are in darkness, even though they are agile and fit, strong and capable while at peace with each other for now, their darkness will soon take over but the moon goddess has arranged a way for them so do not worry. She will come reside in the palace and will be a light to the Prince's pat. You must treat her well" she slowly stated and the King raised an eyebrow

"Only one of the Princes?" he asked further and she smiled

"Only one, only one of them who allows the light to flood his heart will be saved. They have written their destinies by themselves so you just have to see how it plays out" she said and the King sighed

"How do I believe this? I just can't abandon one of my sons for the other" he protested

Closing her eyes for a bit, she responded "You have no say in their destiny so don't bother to meddle in it. You should help them to identify the light and leave it for them to choose their choice"

"You asked how you should believe me? I will be taken in the next minute" she stated with a smile and his eyes widened just as the soldier burst in with the Beta in front

He was putting on a leather rain coat which covered his head and all his body although it was dripping the water it retained while he was walking.

"My King" he said with a bow in respect

"Why are you here by the dead of the night? You should be resting for another day so you can lead the pack well" he mocked, sarcasm evident in his tone

Beta Loras was one of the ruthless Beta the pack had ever had. He doesn't hesitate to kill off any threat and it was safe to say he was the one ruling because his words were final. He was the one that declared that Leia was a witch living in the wolf's pack, which was a taboo and asked for her to be locked.

He made the King sign her death sentence which was to be carried out the next day but he suddenly decided that he would have her killed instead that night.

"What are you doing here too? The execution is in the morning" the King countered

"What if she disappear before that? We can't go through the trouble of looking for her again" Loras replied with a smirk

"But...." The Alpha proceeded to protest but Leia stopped him instead

"You can't block destiny my King. It's my cross" she replied and stood up at the command of the Beta

The prison's door was opened and she was led out with her hand tied while the king watched helplessly.

"Leia" he called out and she smiled at him before heading out with the Beta who led her to the slaughter

"Please do not come out to look, my King. I don't want to leave a painful memory behind" she requested and turned away

"You will repay all these debts with your life, do not worry" she said to the Beta as she was forced on her knees

"You are super bold for a woman with a blade behind her, you should worry about yourself" he roared and she laughed

"I already knew this is my fate, I worry about you. Your end will be so disgraceful" she said with a smile before the Beta suddenly signaled for the man behind her to proceed

The lightning once more graced the sky making the blade glisten in the sky and before the light could go down, the blade came down and slashed the woman on her knees. She fell to the side with her eyes closed and died immediately. The thunder that followed sounded so loud at that moment that everywhere shook, the thunder roared continuously which made everyone afraid even the Beta Loras.

"Leia" the king softly called out as he watched from afar in tears

The rain washed down the blood on the slaughter patio while series of thunders were gracing the sky, her corpse was packed and buried in the mountains that same night while the Alpha went back to his room to cry his eyes out.

The pack was just as natural like every other day the next day, the rain had washed away everything about the previous night and everywhere was sparkling clean. The slaves didn't even have much to do that morning but the atmosphere started getting tensed when the Alpha refused to take any visitor for days because it was around the time Queen Eleanor died. He didn't let anyone into his chambers or go out to meet anyone, he ordered them not to disturb him until further notice.

"You shouldn't have met me, I just made you another sacrificial lamb. I just made you another prey for Loras who is a terror ruling this kingdom, what should I do now that you are gone?" Alpha Ren muttered as he stood in front of the huge window made with fine glass.

The way every single thing in the pack was of high quality screamed how rich the pack was. The frame of the windows were made out of pure gold which sparkled beautifully at any ray of light but that was the least of his concerns at that moment.

"Father is still not taking visitors?" Prince Falkor asked one of the maids coming from the main palace as he moved out of the training ground.

"I'm afraid he's still not" the maid replied fearfully before running to catch up with the rest of her team

Prince Falkor was the eldest Prince of the Alpha King, tall and hairy. He loves to pack his hair up and tie it in ponytail, making his thick eyebrows more visible. His broad face accommodated all the beauties that was carved there, his lips were averagely thick and they spread wide whenever a smile appeared on them.

Although he smiles a lot, he's actually a devil in disguise. He knows how to torment everyone with his handsome face and the most attractive thing about him was his fighting skill. He was given birth to by the Luna who is rarely seen outside because she hated the fact that Alpha Ren only favored Leia who was killed thanks to Beta Loras.

"I wonder if her death made him so sad that much, he wouldn't budge when my mother was sick though" he muttered to himself as he sheathed his sword and went to his own room.

A week after Alpha Ren refused to take visitors, Beta Loras showed up for the first time in the palace and asked to see the King which made Obi tremble because he could confidently say no to others but not the Beta.

"Announce to the King that I am here" he said with his deep rough voice scratching everywhere

Obi ran into the King who was on his bed reading a book to announce the arrival of the Beta and immediately the King sprang up and composed himself, he had chosen not to be weak in front of the beta anymore and let him know that he's the Alpha of the pack after all.

"Let him in" he replied and Obi ran out to convey the message

"You can come in my Lord" Obi told him with a bow to show respect while the Beta smirked in victory. He was the only one that has been granted audience by the Alpha and that shot up his ego.

"My Alpha, I wondered if you were still mourning the death of a traitor but I guess you are the powerful leader of this pack after all, seeing how you are already up and composed. You are even reading a book which you love so much" Beta Loras stated with a mocking tone as he walked inside the chamber majestically

He was putting on a long black robe lined with blue silks at every corner of his neck, sleeves and tips. The robe was fastened; to his waist with another long black rope and tied into a knot at his back to make it firm. His long hair was flowing over his shoulder and behind his ear.

"I shouldn't brood over the death of a betrayal for too long, the pack has many other things to focus on after all" Alpha Ren replied with his eyes fixed on the book in his hand

"That's the energy my King, you need to know when to let go" Loras replied with a mocking laughter and Alpha Ren raised an eyebrow to look at him before fixing his gaze back on the book.

"So what do you have for me? you wouldn't just show up to check up on me as far as I know" Alpha Ren asked, trying to cut the meeting short

"News have reached me today that the rebels are closer to the border, you have to stand up now and go to war with them, conquer more kingdoms and let them know that our pack is not a child play, we are a force" Loras informed him and he closed his book

"You want us to go to war? We can chase the rebels trying to infiltrate the pack but going to way is a bit.." Alpha Ren countered but Loras cut in

"Common My King, no one is telling you to go to war yourself. You can just relax while we help you expand the kingdom" Loras remarked with an evil smirk

"But I am the Alpha of the pack, I cannot just wait here while others go to war and also I cannot approve any unnecessary war" Alpha Ren blabbered but in the span of seconds, his throard was in the hands of Loras.

"Listen Ren, I didn't come here to ask for your opinion. This is an already made decision and yo have no say. All you have to do is declare the war, I don't need your presence on the battle ground so don't bother to cower in fear of losing your life" Loras growled at him and he was gripped with fear.

He of all people knows Loras and what he can do. He's brutal and ruthless, gets what he wants and is the real Alpha behind the kingdom, provoking him will do no good

"Okay! Okay!! I'll sign it, where is it?" he managed to groan at the mercy of Loras whose eyes were beaming with fire and anger already and it took several seconds before Loras threw him off to the side of the room

"Never mind, I'll sign it myself" Loras stated and brought out to the neatly folded paper from the chest region of his robe and walked to where the stamp was.

The seal was sitting on the huge table where Alpha Ren tends to petitions and whatever concerned the pack, it has the shape of a wolf's head and it was made from pure gold.

"You can enjoy your role as an Alpha in here, we just need you to be here. Good news will be brought to you my King" Loras said as he placed the seal on the paper and bowed to the King who was still on the floor in the side where he threw him.

"My King, Prince Falkor is here" Obi announced and he quickly stood up before his son walked in

"I heard my presence is required father" Falkor said as soon as he came in and bowed to the King who glanced at Loras. He already knew that it was him who mind linked him and he wanted to him to be here so he can instruct him to go to war with him

"Yes, I did! You will be going to war with Beta Loras, its high time our kingdom is expanded" Alpha Ren declared and Falkor didn't protest, war is his happy button after all

"Always at your service My Alpha" Falkor replied and bowed in respect before glancing at Beta Loras who nodded at him.

"You need to go to war with the Beta, we have to show them that our pack is not a force to be reckoned with" Alpha Ren said firmly to Falkor as he came in and the Prince glanced at Beta Loras who was behind him at the corner of the room

"There's nothing that excites me as much as war father and you know that. I will get ready as soon as possible. So when are we leaving?" Falkor replied with his face full of smile

The Alpha turned to Beta Loras who walked to the front majestically and bowed a little

"If everything is set and provided, we will leave in three days' time" Loras answered

"I will make sure to send the decree to every quarters so they can provide whatever you might need. I wish you well with the wars" Alpha Ren stated even though his tone was giving out the fact that he didn't like that they were going to war.

"What of Jaqen? Is he still not around? It's been ages I saw him" Alpha Ren asked Falkor

Falkor responded "As you know, he's not fond of staying in the palace but when the news reach him, he will join us on the way"

"That's true, you Princes are always happy at the sound of war" Alpha Ren sighed with concerns and turned to head for his bed

"If that's all, then I will have to rest for now" he added and dismissed them.

They both took a bow before leaving the room, together.

Falkor headed straight to the Luna's quarters to visit his mother and inform her of his journey to war. He got to the door in his white robe and small sword hanging from his wait and told them to announce his arrival which they were already on the verge of doing as soon as he appeared. No one wants to be involved with him negatively because it never ends well.

"My queen, the Prince is here" one of them announced and the Luna who was having her nails done signaled for them to open the door.

Falkor walked in majestically into the room and scanned the squeaky cleaned room. Everything was neatly arranged, the space in the middle of the room was enough to park a huge truck. His mother is always particular about leaving enough space for her in the room should in case she feels like dancing.

His mother, Luna Aravis was a popular great dancer before she was married to the Alpha by her family. Although they have been married for years, they've never openly displayed any affection for each other.

The only reason they gave birth to Falkor was because they mated on their wedding night and since then, they have never passed the night on the same bed. The person the Alpha loved was Leia who was recently put to death by Beta Loras with the crime that she was a witch which was forbidden in the pack.

"You sure care for yourself too much for someone who will never step a foot outside" he scoffed as he walked to a seat by the side

The maid helping her with the nails was obviously shaking at his presence because any mistake means that her head would be rolling on the floor or she would be beaten so much till she begs for death.

"You should try to be less scary, your presence is traumatizing the innocent ladies" the Luna remarked and he laughed a bit

"It's not like I bite. They should stop being afraid of me, I am just like them or wait, maybe I'm higher?" he remarked, an evil chuckle followed

"You can leave us for a bit" the Luna motioned to them and they all scurried out of the room in seconds

As soon as they closed the door, she continued "What's happening? You never come to visit me unless you have something to say"

"Well, since you know me that well then I'll go straight to the point. The Alpha has declared war to expand his kingdom" he informed and she scoffed

"The Alpha? More like the Beta's wishes" she mumbled under her breath

"Anyways, the order is out and we leave in three days" he added, ignoring her comment

"What of Jaqen? He has been told or not interested?" she asked turning to face him

"He will join us on the way. You should know he will be happy to receive the news" he answered, adjusting his seat

"He never stays at the palace, I wonder what he loves doing so much outside. He's pretty useless for a Prince except during the times of war" she remarked rolling her eyes

"Not everyone loves staying in this cage tagged pack. I also want to be free like him" he exclaimed and a subtle growl from the Luna filled the room

"Don't you dare! Your place is in the pack" she countered.

"I never liked anything outside the pack so don't worry, I am not going anywhere" he assured her and she blew the anger on her nails

"You know my rules right? You have to stay safe no matter what" she said and he nodded before standing up to take his leave

"I should get going before you bore me out with your lectures. I need to rest" he declared and went out the room before she said anything else

As the door was about closing, she screamed after him "Let me know when you are going! Don't disappear on me!"

The third day, he was dressed by his personal maids who had prepared his outfits for war. He slid into his black robe slit by the two sides to the waist and tied to him at the back. A pair of leather gloves exposing his fingers and tied at the wrist for firmness was also slid in his hands.

"Here My Prince" the maid presented his sword on a long tray and he picked it up after fixing his headband and looked into the standing mirror while his boots were being fixed

"I think you are ready my Prince" his maid announced and he nodded before heading out to meet the waiting Beta outside

"Let's go conquer some lands" the Beta called out to him and he shook hands with him before climbing on his horse.

They kicked off their horses with other soldiers and moved towards the east side where they planned to attack and conquer. They met Jaqen waiting for them on his horse by the river separating the pack from the outside region.

"Hey Brother! How have you been?" Falkor called out to him

"Let's go do what we are best at" Jaqen replied, bumping fists with him and they rode off.
