Liliana shouts happily: Everyone should hurry up with their chores

We are having guests today

Lucia who is Liliana favourite daughter asks: mum who are the guests?

Liliana replies excitedly: don't worry dear you will find out very soon

Liliana goes to the kitchen and sees Joy at that moment, her mood changes

Liliana says angrily: I will get rid of you very soon

Joy asks innocently: mum what did I do?

Liliana shouts angrily: don't call me mum I am not your mother. You are just a burden to me sometimes I wonder why you didn't die along with that foolish mother of yours but today I will get rid of you

Nicholas enters the kitchen and says: Lily dear you are here I have been searching for you

Nicholas kisses his wife on the cheek and asks: have you told her what is happening today?

Liliana replies: no dear but I was about to. Joy since you are about to be eighteen,

We have decided to marry you off so get ready

Joy who couldn't just believe what she heard shouted , what!

How can you be thinking of marrying me off I am just seventeen, what about my education?

Nicholas: you are getting married and that is final

Joy begs her father not to marry her off but Nicholas didn't listen

Joy asks with tears in her eyes: who is this person you are trying to marry me to?

Liliana replies excitedly: you will get a shock of your life after meeting them

She leaves from the kitchen

Joy cries uncontrollably: mother why did you have to die so soon

The palace announcer shouts: all rise for the arrival of His Majesty Emperor Michael

Everyone in Courtroom excluding the Empress Dowager stand up and bow their heads to greet the Emperor

The Emperor enters with his brother Prince Augustine and sister Princess Arabella

They bow their heads to the Empress Dowager before taking their seats

Emperor Michael: why did you call for a meeting suddenly?

Head of the Emperor's council stands to talk: your majesty please we have called for this meeting because we wanted to discuss with you about your marriage

The Emperor's father Sir Stephen says: I thought we have already discussed this and have decided to allow the Emperor take the decision concerning his marriage himself

Head of the council: your Excellency we have indeed discuss this but right now the situation is such that we have to bring up the matter again

Emperor Michael asks: what is going on?

Head of the council: your majesty, people have started talking about your sexuality and private life moreover we need an heir for the throne

Emperor Michael sits quietly for a while and says: so what do you suggest?

Head of the council: your majesty please we would like to send a marriage proposal to our neighbouring kingdom. King Charles's daughter is a very beautiful and intelligent girl so she will be good for you moreover getting married to her increase your status and your alliances

Emperor Michael: no no no I don't want my marriage to be political alliance

Empress Dowager: neither do I

The Emperor's first aunt Hilda says: your majesty, we need a lady who is in the same circle as you so that she will be able to rule the kingdom with you

Sir Stephen disagrees and says: what my son needs is woman who will understand and him

The Emperor's mother Lady Melissa says:why don't we the family finds a good girl for the Emperor?

Emperor Michael: I got out of the palace and search for a wife

The Emperor's Brother Prince Augustine says: your majesty you can't go out of palace now there are a lot of pending works

The Emperor's uncle Sir George says: how about one of us going out in disguise to search for a bride for the Emperor

Everyone seems to agree with him

Empress Dowager: William, Gloria and Jason will go out and search for a girl for the emperor

Sir William, his wife and son accept it

Three days later, Sir William and his nuclear family leaves the palace in disguise

Sir William, Lady Gloria and Prince Jason (POV)

Lady Gloria complains: I don't understand why your grandmother (Empress Dowager) told us to find our identity we could easily get a wife for the Emperor I f we use our identity. I don't even understand why she sent us she could have sent some of the royal staff easily

Sir William replies: must you complain about everything?

Lady Gloria: I am not complaining I am just stating the facts moreover I don't understand why Grandmother chose Jason and us to search for a wife for the Emperor

Sir William: my grandmother chose us because people don't know us properly and we need to find a humble lady for the Emperor. The Emperor is one of most powerful man in the world but he is still a humble person

Prince Jason adds: you are right father Michael is an amazing person and I don't mind doing this for him

Lady Gloria asks: so what is the plan? Where do we start from?

Sir William answers: for a start, let get then we can take it from there

The Royals found a simple and spacious house to live in and they hired a maid to help with the cleaning

A month has past and they weren't able to find a suitable lady for the Emperor. They contracted a matchmaker to help them to find a lady

One evening, Sir William and his wife was invited to a restaurant to meet with the matchmaker.

Matchmaker: hello sir, hello madam please how are you?

Sir William: we are good. Please how are you?

Matchmaker: I'm fine.

The waitor came to their table to ask for their order. A few minutes later, their orders was brought to them

Matchmaker: There is a family looking for a husband for their eighteen year old daughter

Sir William: do you have a picture of the girl?

Matchmaker: no sir. The family will like to meet you before the girl is introduced

Lady Gloria: alright then we will like to meet them

Matchmaker: good I can arrange for a meeting in two to three days

Sir William: Alright. Please contact us with the details of where and when to meet

Matchmaker: alright sir

After dinner, the matchmaker left

As per agreement, sir William and Lady Gloria met with the girl's family

Matchmaker: please sir and madam meet the Blanksons they are the girl's family

Sir William: hello Mr and Mrs Blankson I am William Richardson and this is my wife Gloria

Nicholas: nice to meet you

Liliana: what work do you do?

Gloria: we are in to sawmill business and our son....(Sir William stops her from continuing)

Sir William: our son is a bit useless and we feel that if he marries, he will be responsible

Nicholas: if your son is useless then what makes you think we will give him our daughter?

Sir William: I will do everything to get him married

Liliana: anything?

Sir William: yes anything

Nicholas: okay give us some time to think about it we will contact you when we decide

The Blanksons left after some minutes
