The Emotionless Genius

Doctor and nurses rushing inside the room where she and her father are in.

Crying and shouting is all what she did while struggling to get near her father's side, a nurse is holding her back to be with her father, this is the saddess sight for all the people around her.

"Let go! I want to be by his side! Let go of me! Papa! Please....let me go to my papa...."

Having no strength to fight back anymore she slowly sat down on the floor while sobbing uncontrolable for her father to come back.

'Papa... Why did you leave me.... I want you here... I need you here....... Papa....'

It's been a weeks and it's finally the day to say the final goodbye for her beloved father who took her and take care of her even they are not related by blood he still treat her as his true daughter.

Wearing a black dress, she with her step mother and step sister get in the car to go to the cementery.

Staring blankly with swallen eyes and almost red nose the young child throw the white rose to her father's grave.

Her step mom just look at her dangerously with her step sister.

They never treat her with kindness only her father who treat her like gem. Her step mom always abused her by enslaving her whenever her father is not around. Her step sister that always destroy anything that their father gave her and because of that she always lie to him when he ask her what happen to it and always got a respond:

"Will built them together then? What do you thing my little genuis?" Her father said with a smile and pat her head then ruin her hair.

'And now that papa is gone because of an accident what will happen to me? Are they going to throw me out of the house now? Yeah maybe I'm just an adopted so why not'

Is all she could said to herself.

Sitting around the dining table, there sit in the middle is the attorney who will going to read the testimony of her father before he died.

Hearing the testimony of her father makes her sad but she promise to be strong so that's what she will going to do for the sake of her father.

/When he heard his father's testimony. That house and other property will go to her step mom and step sister. She saw her eyes shine so that she could see her in vain. In his step sister, their father's favorite piano would go to her, so her step -sister was sorry for her so she just ignored her.

"And for my dear Kaiden I will leave a black brief case with our single invent Taro Z.D." The attorney was wet with his father's letter. And handed him a black brief case and the father's inventing invention, carefully took it and placed it on his lap while the box was next to him. Her step mom and step sister laughed softly because that was all she had received but for her it was very important because it came from her father.

The attorney still had a secret in his hand so he looked at it asking but he just smiled.

After that incident, Kaiden immediately left the whereabouts of the abusive mother. But before he could get away, he spoke.

"From now on you will be there to sleep in the maid room with the assistants you understand!" It shouted that Kaiden had just ignored it and no one left.

Third Person POV :

-10 Years Later...

• Monday, 7:30 AM

A day that everyone is in a rush, works that every persons destination. A busy roads that full of honking cars, chattering noise in every person with there phones and their rushing foot steps that walks by but behind that all sound there is still someone who is quietly and peacefully walking by without a care with their surroundings.

Munching on their sandwich in hand, they walk their way where the school are located that will be holding a special exam for every scholar each year.

RYŌ HIGH UNIVERSITY

A private school that owned by a wealthy family.

This school is not just any other private school, they choose every student that suit by there standard.

For every student that will be taking the special exam will be answering a five major subject that will be taught by their upcoming professor for those who passed the exam.

Each year there will be less than ten percent of student who can pass and be a scholar but every student who came from a wealthy family will be immediately accepted as they wish but they need to make sure that their grades will be high.

Each scholar who passed the exam will going to be sponsored by a wealthy person or family. The sponsors will be the one whose going to choose who they want to sponsored with, from their problem for financial, tuition fee and any other supply they needed in their studies.

The five major subject will be going to be:

• Chemistry

• Computer Programing

• Computer Coding and De-coding

• Robotics

• Physics

Each subject will be up to 100 questioner, every subject will be having a top to lower student. Each score in that five subject will be conducted in one, So the over-all score will be 500 over 500.

And if the chosen scholars have been taken there's a program where they are going to make an invention to see how far they really are qualified to be a student in Ryō High with the judges inspection.

That's how hard to enter in Ryō High University if your not someone with a high status in life and a really high IQ.

Someone's POV :

Entering the hallway where the exam will be holding makes me look around to find a good spot to take my exam. After taking a sit just beside the window i took out my pencil and erase just to be ready.

While waiting, i decide to look outside from this gigantic window that almost reach the ceiling. The field outside is so wide they have a soccer field and also a baseball field from the both side. A gymnasiums that i could see from afar. They also have a field for archeries. Just how wealthy is the owner of this prestigious school.

Silence of chattering made me look at the front, there i saw a man that i think is a professor base on his posture and appearance with a mike in his hand.

"Greetings to every upcoming students of Ryō High. I,Professor Castro will be the one whose going to give you every exam you'll going to take. Please ready your pen or pencil and eraser while we're giving your questioner and if you already receive your questioner please start answering. Thank you." He said and gesture some staff worker to contribute the test to us.

Once i finally receive my questioner I examine it and start answering after finding it easy. All i did is take a glance in each question and answer it and writing some answer that is not included in their chooses that i find and makes me unsatisfied for how wrong each of them.

For almost 30 minutes of answering I'm finally done. Placing my pencil down and after re-checking my exam paper if I missed anything before I finally settle down.

Taking a glance around me, makes me realize that I'm the first one to finish my exam. So without thinking twice I take advantage of it and sleep for a little in the min time until its time to submit our test questionnaires.

Third Person POV:

As the other examiner continued to respond, the professor's eyesight dropped to an examiner who was sleeping while humbling his desk. The professor couldn't believe it, so he decided to approach it silently so that others would not disturb their exam.

When it arrived, it was sitting behind the sleeping examiner to see if it was finished answering the test that was still being answered by the majority while this one was sleeping.

It stopped looking at the sight of its role full of answer, the formulations and descriptions seemed to be detailed so its eyes widened at the papers of this sleeping examiner.

'P-How's it done s-sya!? Almost ... almost w-nothing of the S-Space to write here!? S-Who's this kid!? ' It is self -aware and unbelievable looking at it as a deep sleep.

The professor could do nothing but go back to the front where he came from.

On the back, the professor will never forget how much every answer found in the paper of that examiner, which he is still watching is still in his front.

On the other hand where the sleeping examiner earlier, his eyes slowly opened.

He settled down and circled his gaze to find out if the other companions were over he was frustrated with because some were still responding to their answer paper, so he preferred to entertain herself by looking outside where the breeze was delicious of the wind.

When the professor saw that the person he had just wanted to ask, he immediately approached her.

"Well, can I ask what your name is?" The professor asked here because he could no longer read or see his name because of the answers his eyes were focused.

It turned to her with a blank face and no emotion opened her mouth and released her name.

Kaiden's POV :

After telling him what my name is he just nod at me as a respond and ask to collect my answer sheet that I immediately gave to him.

When suddenly there something click on me.

Huh...

......my gender is a total mistake...

.......my gender is a total mistake....(Sigh)..... I'm mistaken again as a guy. Oh well, not my fault I look like one. My genes are unpredictable i guess.

A girl that looks like a guy. I don't really mind. And sometimes my looks can help me when I'm hungry so that's good for me. Such an advantage to every girls nowadays.

While speaking in my thoughts, i suddenly feel a tap on my shoulder and there I saw a guy that had his left arm outstretch towards me so i just look at him, waiting for what he wants with me.

"Um.... H-hi! I'm Austine by the way. Austine Ray Sollace." He said while composing himself.

I just nod to show my acknowledgement to his presence.

"Oh... Your not talkative .....but that's fine. Ah.. um... And I just notice earlier that you've finish the exam first! That was cool! If i may ask, did you find it easy?" He said excitedly so I just nod my head.

"Woah! You must be really smart! No scratch that! Your a genius Kaiden!" Oh... How did he know my name? Must heard of it earlier.

I just look at him.

"I just heard it earlier--". Just what i have thought. He then just got interrupted by an announcement so we listen to them, and that the next exam will be commence in just a minute.

"Well, i hope we passed and be a scholar! Let's be friends Kaiden and also goodluck to us." He said and smile while looking at me.

"Kai."

"Huh?"

"Call me Kai."

And because of that his smile grow bigger if that was even possible though, I don't know...

"Sure thing Kai!"

I just nod at him.

"Then call me Austine!" So chirpy...

I nod again and turn my attention in front.

......Friends?

Sure, i don't really mind at all and he seems fine. So, for now I'll consider his offer.

Time have passed by and the exam continued, just like with our first exam. All i did is examine it when the questioner is finally in front of me and do my answering.

The only noise that could be heard around is the scribbling of pencils in everyone's paper. Being always the first one to finish the exam give me the opportunity to look around and saw that everyone is giving their very best to pass the exam, they amused me with their motivation.

Looking outside makes me wonder what i could get once i finally get out of here, sunny and a little bit windy day perfect for a two box of sandwich and a one pack of orange juice box. (Sigh).... that makes me hungry even more.

Wait... I think I still have two wrapped sandwich in my shoulder bag. But I might disturb them with my munching.... Oh well my well-being is in the line so who cares.

What time is it anyway?

Time check:

09:26 AM

I still have time and there's nothing to do, they wouldn't mind if i take a bite right?

Looking around first before taking one of my wrapped sandwich from my bag. I start unwrapping it and began to eat quietly if i can called that quiet. They didn't seems to notice at all.

While I'm enjoying munching on my food, I heard a snickering from my right side of my sit and when i look at my right there i saw Sollace snickering while looking at me but the one that really got my attention is his test paper that is already done, not bad for being second to finish after me.

"How cute Kai. Eating while the other examiners are taking an exam." He playfully said.

"And quiet prankly your making me hungry just by hearing you munched right here at my side." His hungry too?

And because of what he said I absent-mindedly took my other wrapped sandwich and hand it to him.

"Huh..??." Why am i giving him my treat??

"Oh....umm.... For me?"

I just nod while handing him the sandwich who was looking at me with wide eyes then he suddenly smile.

"Thanks Kai."

'My poor sandwich... Oh well I'll just buy a new one after this exam ends.'

Austine's POV :

I was still smiling while looking at the sandwich in my hand, I may look like a fool right now but no one. I repeat no one have ever done something like this to me. Well, except my older brother of course.

I look again at the guy beside me that was looking outside while eating his own sandwich. Kaiden. What a strange guy you are. You may look like a cold and emotionless guy but the way you express yourself says otherwise, I would definitely going to know more about you no matter what just you wait.

I unwrap my sandwich and start eating it. Woah! It's good. Never thought that a sandwich like this could be this good. While eating i suddenly take a glance at where Kai is seated. There, I saw him with his eyes close while resting his head in the back of his hand. I would be lying if i say Kai is not a good looking guy. But hey! don't get me wrong, I'm straight as a stick. He just have this charm that could make a woman or a dude drool just by the look of his face even though his emotionless. I bet he looks more handsome when he smile. Though did he even know how to?? That gets me thingking hm....

For almost five and a half hours, The exam are finally over.

Once the professor bid his goodbye I immediately turn to where Kai is seated but I see no one but an empty chair and a clear desk.

Looking around the crowd of other examiner, I finally saw him at the end of the halls walking without a care in the world, So I did what a normal person would do. I run up to him just to catch up to where he is.

"Kai!" I shout his name that caught the attention of other people around us. Embarrassing yeah I get it. I'll regret it later but for now let's go to where Kai is.

I saw him stop and look around. I wave my hands up to caught his sight.

"Hey! Kai! Nandito ako!!" Muling sigaw ko.

"Hey! Kai! I'm here!" I cried again.

He immediately searched for the source of my voice and when he saw me he stopped walking. I immediately went to his stand that he was still looking at me.

"Where are you going? Can I go?" I asked here that he just nodded.

"Sandwich store." This was a straightforward answer and started walking so I was shocked.

"...... Sandwich store?"

It just hugged me without even looking at it and continued walking. Is it not that saliva? It is too much to speak.

"Sure come my treat!"

I was surprised at the light of his awra but as I looked at it again, nothing seemed to change, he returned to his blank face.

Did I hallucinate for a second? Jeez maybe my brain is playing tricks on me.

Psh maybe it's just a pigment of my imagination.

We were walking down the sidewalk and I couldn't help but see groups of women looking at our behavior or should I say Kai's behavior. Am I just or just chase after one to women. I salute you! Human magnet you women.

I also notice that others want to approach a case that seems to be shy. Oh well who wouldn't be ashamed of the person next to me. It was handsome but nothing.

"Kai, are you used to looking at you?" I have no questions here.

Turn around and stop walking. It gave me a stunned face.

'Wait .... don't tell me he doesn't notice it !!'

Oh ... it's a numb one with a world.

"I mean-" I interrupted when someone got my attention.

"Kuya! Can you have a picture?"

"Me too!"

"I'm my first brother."

Shout out to them at once.

Wait ... sakin? Are they going to be a picture too? Wait I'm not prepared and all I should look at for it-

"Can you picture us?"

Kai was looking at me as I just woke him up.

It was like slapping me. So I'm just a picture? I'll throw you your cell phones.

"Can I please?" Asked this girl again so even though I didn't want to nod and smile at the same time as she gave me a cellphone and hurried to Kai's side.

It was the only thing that I failed with 'a' one 'I had an extra sideline. To be a photographer. Please note the sarcasm.

Kaiden's POV

• One month later •

I just came from my part time job and just entered the glass door of this condominium I lived in, I was in the lobby when one of the staff there called me.

I turned around and looked at it.

"Kaiden right?" He asked again so I asked him.

"It's oh you have a letter." And he gave me a dark blue envelope so I reached for it.

"Thanks." I said and turned away, I heard a whisper but I ignored it and continued to go to my unit.

I looked closely at the envelope in my hand, when I noticed it came from Ryō High University.

Maybe I didn't pass, Debali that there were many others.

When I got into the unit my Ai Robot I made and named Gin.

"Welcome back master." Promise it.

I showed the hold on her envelope.

"I didn't pass so they had something to do."

She took it and looked at it at once so I asked her to do what she wanted so she opened it and read it.

"Certificate of scholarship from Ryō High University." It started but I didn't listen to the others he said, I was too hungry to listen.

"What's the meal for dinner?" I whispered to myself and went to the kitchen to see what to cook.

'Hmm ... a simple curry will do and some side dish, ham and egg.'

I changed clothes first. A oversize white t-shirt and a dark blue baggy pants. I tie my hair in a half up and half down.

So I start to begin what I need to do.

After cooking, I serve myself and eat my food.

If you were wondering if I was with my condo unit without the answer, I was alone and only my inventions were with me.

My condo unit is huge if I have only two units. Dad owned it that he left for me, I left the house where my step mom and step sister were. My dad was the only key and brief case I brought when I left with the help of our maid Manang Hiyori. So thanks to him and I'm in good shape right now.

After I ate, I immediately washed my meal.

Gin met me and reached for his paper.

Those are the only ones who caught my attention because maybe I was tired or just reading a long letter.

"Congrats master, you've done well."

"Thanks but it's nothing compare from having him." I promised while looking at a picture of a man.

"You should take a rest master."

"You go charge up Gin. I'll stay a bit to do some planning on a blue prints for upcoming program for my soon to be school."

He nod his head and go to my room to his energy booth.

Making my way to my study room, I pick some tools that needed to start a new planning for a new addition on my invention.

'I just hope they let me have it after the program is done.'

But before I start I look a second to my side.

"I will make you proud of me Papa."

Third Person POV :

The week before the distribution of mails for the accepted scholars.

The board members, staffs, the headmaster, and the school's owner are all gathering around the conference room, and discussing about whose family want to sponsor the students they choose.

Until the topic comes to the top examiner who perfect the special exam with a plus points included.

The share holders are debating, wanting to sponsor the said top examiner.

The chattering noise just stop when someone cough, and that someone is one of the owner of the said school.

"Will you please tell us who is this top examiner that perfect the exam Mr. Castro."

And with that said, he click some buttons and in a big screen shows a picture and the test questionnaires answer of the said top examiner.

A commotion soon erupt upon them as soon as they saw what's on the screen.

Mrs. Horraice motioned Prof. Castro from the side.

"Did he really answer all of that? Tell me."

"Yes madam. Actually his the first one to finish the exam and have the audicity to sleep in the middle of the exam."

She just nod at him and motion him to go back. Amused from what she heard.

After seeing the said files. The wife of Mr. Horraice held his hand to get his attention.

"Hm? Yes love??"

"I want to sponsor that child dear."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes."

After hearing his wife's decision, he told to the staffs and other people inside the conference room that he and his wife will sponsor the said top examiner.
