IVANKA'S POV
I was at an altitude of 31,000 feet up in the air. I could've sworn I felt this stupid aircraft shake, which jerked me awake. I was never afraid of heights, however, there was always this annoying voice at the back of my mind reminding me that we could crash at any time. "Are we almost there?" Summer groaned, slipping her sleeping mask off.
My eyes fluttered open, as the sound of cartwheels on carpeted floor spread throughout the brightly-lit airplane. It was 5:00 A.M. and I was almost in Bali. I glanced at the rest of my friends, sitting beside me. Of course, they were still asleep. "Two more hours to go, hopefully we don't crash." I teased. "Oh shut up!" She hit my arm hard, grumbling.
We were scheduled to land in Indonesia very soon, so I just sat back and relaxed, shutting my eyes once more. The airplane rattled away, forcing me to open my eyes again. At this point, I wasn't going to get any more sleep, so I just lifted my window and watched the clouds pass by.
Time had gone so fast and finally, we landed. "I can't believe we're already in Indonesia." Ana squealed, unable to contain her excitement. I couldn't help but let out a little chuckle as we alighted the plane and grabbed a taxi.
We headed to Bali, our main destination. Mia-the annoying one out of all my friends-kept rambling on and on about how beautiful Indonesia was and how excited she was to be there. I looked out the car window, taking in the beautiful scenery we passed by. My body was in the car, but my mind was elsewhere.
"You're thinking about him again." Summer scoffed, jabbing me in the stomach with her elbow. "Ow, ow, ow!" I winced, holding my stomach. "No, I'm not." I blatantly lied.
"Guys, Ivanka's thinking about Zac again." She announced loudly, causing everyone to look at me. A light hue of red spread across my olive skin as I shook my head. My eyes were puffy from all the crying I had done in the middle of the night, and my head banged like crazy. "I'm serious. I'm okay, and the main reason I'm here is to get over him." I rolled my eyes, returning my gaze to the window.
I wished there was a bottle in my hand right now, I could have been using that to drown my sorrows instead. But I was alcohol-less and that made me cranky. I had been to rehab multiple times-courtesy of my parents- but somehow, I managed to relapse.
Every. Single. Time
I was getting better now though, I just craved the sting of alcohol and the way it smoothly traveled down my throat. A bad habit that I had mastered to its peak. But, knowing the friends I had, there was no way they'd allow me to drink without their supervision.
-
We had already arrived at our villas in the resort and settled down, each going our separate ways. I lacked intrigue in following them to explore wherever they went, so I went to the beachfront to cool off and relax. The soft breeze flowed through my long hair and the sun's rays kissed my face.
I took off my slippers and dug my toes into the warm, grainy sand, moving closer to the beach shore. The water gently washed over my feet, providing a sense of relief. I turned my head and then saw him.
He was shirtless, with only beach shorts on him. His long, black hair was tied up in a bun and a few scattered strands framed his face. His skin was tanned and shone as if he rubbed himself down with oil. I could catch a snake tattoo, going down his spine and another tattoo by his lower waist. I couldn't quite make out what it was, but I wanted to see.
He was staring at me. Suddenly, I became self-conscious.
I looked terrible at the moment. I also felt extremely tired and jetlagged, so that wasn't helping either. Regardless, he was pulling me in like a moth to a flame. So, I did what any other person would do, I moved closer to him and struck up a conversation.
"Hi, I'm...Ava," I lied, not wanting to give out any personal information about myself. I brushed a strand of my blonde hair away from my face. "You are?"
He stared at me for a while, his green eyes full of intrigue. "I'm Jack." He firmly said, with a hint of an accent I couldn't quite lay my finger on. His voice was deep and left shivers running down my spine.
"Well, you don't look like a Jack," I teased, sitting down beside him. "You look more like a Malakai."
"I've never heard of that one before." The corner of his lips tugged upward ever slightly.
"Ah. I see. What are you doing out here all alone?" I inquired-a question too personal probably-but I could care less.
"The same thing you are, Ava. A vacation, looking for a place to relax." He glanced at me, pursing his lips. I nodded in approval as thoughts swirled around my mind.
"Like my friends said, 'If I want to get over him, I have to get under someone else'." I chuckled, shaking my head. "I don't blame him really, I just wish things would've been done differently." I dusted the sand off my body as the heavy wind blew my hair. My voice trembled betraying me, like I knew it would.
He looked at me for a short while with those mesmerizing eyes of his, before finally settling on what to say, "Why do you think you deserve it?"
"I can't disclose that. You're a stranger." I chuckled, looking out at the sea. The tiny waves were crashing on the shore and I decided to stand up, bracing myself.
"I don't have to be, Ava." He murmured, tutting his lips. When he turned, I could see another tattoo creeping up his neck. Damn. His jawline was so sharp that it could cut me as he clenched his jaw. He was tense.
Before I could speak up again, I heard Summer flailing her arms and calling out for me from the resort.
I hurriedly pressed a finger to my lips, indicating for her to shut up. Standing up, I took one last look at Jack, "I'll catch up with you later."
"I'm sure you will, milyy." He rasped, not turning back.
IVANKA'S POV
Before I drifted off to sleep, my thoughts wandered to Jack. We had just met, I know, but I had a stupid tendency to get attached before anything real ever happened.
Summer had asked me who he was, but I navigated away from the question with a dismissive wave. She and the rest just teased me, but I didn't care. All I just wanted to do was sleep, so that's exactly what I did. I slept until evening, and when I woke up, I felt disoriented and even more tired than before.
We had a buffet and performance scheduled for us later in the evening, so we started getting ready for the events. For some reason, I hoped I'd meet Jack at the performance again. Even though we didn't talk much, I enjoyed his company and wanted to speak with him again.
My girls and I headed downstairs, amped for the night. We took tons of pictures for memories and headed to our buffet. We ate good food but didn't want to eat too much.
A couple of minutes later, we moved to the performance stage where female dancers would be putting on their display for us. My eyes darted around the others guests as we all sat down. "Oh my God!" I yelled as they juggled fire in their hands effortlessly while dancing to the beat. The performance was a unique one that I was sure I wouldn't be seeing in a while.
After the fire-dancing performance, my friends went their separate ways to mingle and I crossed my way over to the lively bar.
"1 shot of Tequila, please." I sat down, tapping my fingers against the counter impatiently. The bartender slid it across the counter and almost immediately, I grabbed it and downed it.
There was that familiar sting that I had missed. But, that was enough for the night. It wasn't exactly the best place to get drunk, I could feel gazes from disgusting, old men on my body. I slid a 10-dollar bill to the bartender before leaving.
"Mia!" I yelled out, approaching my friend. My dress was short and armless, so I rubbed my arms with my hands trying to generate some warmth. "Yes?" She turned to me, yelling over the obnoxiously loud music. "Do you want to hop in the hot tub with me?"
"No, I'm okay! I'll catch up with you later. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" She winked, dancing away. I scoffed and rolled my eyes, retreating back into the resort. I already had a bikini under my dress, so I went straight to where the hot tub was.
I slipped my clothes off and stepped into the bubbling, warm water. "This is the good life." I sighed happily, sitting down and relaxing my body.
"It is, isn't it?" An unfamiliar voice spoke. My eyes darted open to meet Jack's. "Oh, hey, I didn't know you were in here." I wrinkled my brows, surprised-but delighted-to see him.
"I just got here," He gruffly said, shaking his head, "I actually rented the hot tub out for the night, so I don't know why you're here."
"Oh! I'm sorry." I exclaimed, standing up hurriedly.
"No, no. Sit back down." He commanded, his voice stern and cold as he slipped into the hot tub with me. I obeyed, swiping my tongue across my bottom lip. I felt lightheaded and could feel the tequila coursing through my blood.
His eyes traveled over my chest quite obviously, but I didn't mind. I think it was pretty clear that I wanted this man. So, I shifted closer to him, feeling a surge of confidence.
"Jack, what do you want?" I batted my eyes seductively, placing my hand on his chest. His eyes grew darker, hazy with lust. My heart thumped wildly in my chest as my breathing became rugged. He held my gaze, pulling me in deeper with his sexy eyes.
"I want you for the night." He murmured, crashing his soft lips onto mine. He was not a gentle kisser, no, instead he slipped his tongue into my mouth and bit my bottom lip so hard that it burst. He tasted like cinnamon and vodka and smelt even better. I wrapped my arms around him, leaning further into the kiss.
I yelped slightly, not expecting blood to drip out of my bottom lip. He moved his lips down my neck and closer to my breasts, "Do you like that, kukla?" He whispered subtly in my ear, making my core hot.
"What does that mean?" My head tilted back, letting out a slight whimper.
"It means you're my pretty little doll, my whore."
I couldn't speak, I was in a haze. I nodded my head eagerly, wanting him to keep going. He cupped my ass in his hand, squeezing as he slipped another finger past my panties. He thrust a finger into me, which made me moan in pleasure, throwing my head back. I couldn't believe I was getting down and nasty with a total stranger in a hot tub.
"Use your words, Ava." His voice dripped with desire as he quickened the pace of his finger, adding another.
"Yes, yes! I love it." I screamed out on a pleasure high. He latched his mouth onto my nipple, sucking and biting at it, as he continued fucking my wet snatch with his fingers. I could feel his cock growing on my thigh and my eyes widened at how big he was.
All of a sudden, he pulled me out of the tub. "We're going to need a bed." He grabbed me by the hand and led me up to his room.
Immediately the door shut behind us, he pushed me onto the bed, grabbing me by my neck and yanking off my panties. "I'm going to fuck you so hard, you won't be able to walk tomorrow, shlyukha." He spat before flipping me around and pinning my hands behind my back. He was so fucking sexy, my pussy ached to be stuffed full of his cock.
"Yes, please," I begged, desperate to have something-anything- in me. He lubed himself up before sliding into me slowly. His cock was so big and filled me up quickly, causing me to let out a moan. He groaned lowly, sliding out before adjusting his position and slamming back into me. I yelled out in both pain and ecstasy as he hit the right spot.
"Oh, fuck. Right there, please!" I whimpered, fisting the sheets. It hurt so bad but felt so good as he kept pounding into me. Our bare bodies were flush against each other, all hot and sweaty as he wrecked me with delight.
In a split second, he hit my G-spot again and I exploded, my legs vibrating heavily as I squirted all over the bed. Jack's breathing grew shallow as he also came with one last thrust.
I don't even remember what happened next. Jack just kept tossing me around and fucked the living daylights out of me.
He kept to his word because I knew damn well I'd be sore in the morning.
IVANKA'S POV
"Oh, fuck! I feel like I'm dying!"
It wasn't exactly the best feeling ever being rushed to the emergency room at 2:04 in the morning. Thank goodness for my parents, otherwise I would've probably been dead.
I groaned, clutching my stomach tightly as they rolled me in on a stretcher. Was this really happening? I got back from Bali a month ago, and then my body started acting up. I overlooked the pains and all, thinking it was just tiredness and the jetlag.
All of a sudden, at two in the morning, I experienced the most excruciating pains of my life. I stared up at the fluorescent lights of the hospital, as the nurses wheeled me in on a stretcher.
Every single movement felt like hell and I held on tight for dear life. My mom held my hand gently, following me, "Darling, you'll be okay." She cried out, panicking beside me. My vision became blurry and all of a sudden I felt like throwing up, but it didn't come out.
Finally, I was wheeled into a hospital room and administered with IV. I calmed down after a few minutes, my mom sobbing beside me. The drugs made me very woozy, so I drifted off to sleep.
My eyes fluttered open as I heard murmurs around me. My head ached, and as I reached up to touch it, I saw needles injected into my skin. I was still in the hospital. I managed to shift a little towards the direction of the voice.
My mother and the doctor were conversing about me probably. She turned back, glancing at me, and realized that I was now awake. "Doctor, she's up." She breathed a sigh of relief, moving closer to me and kissing my forehead.
"How are you feeling, Ivanka?" The chubby doctor asked, looking down at me through his heavily prescripted glasses. "I'm fine." I managed to croak out, gently putting my hand against my throat.
"Water. She needs water," My mother rushed to her bag, pulling out a bottle of water and bringing it up to my lips. I was parched and drank the whole bottle, before resting back into the bed.
"I'm Dr. Gupta, I'm going to tell you the same thing I told your mother," He said in a stringent tone. "It's a stomach bug, you will be fine. We've flushed your stomach out, so you should be feeling better by now, yes?"
I nodded my head slowly, my brain still processing all that he had just said. At least I could move now, that was good progress. "Err...we also ran a few tests and found a bit of alcohol in your system." He looked at his clipboard, reading through it. "That'll be all, you just sit tight. We are still running tests and will perform an ultrasound to make sure none of your internal organs are damaged." He nodded, making his way out of the hospital room.
Grace turned to me angrily, "What is your problem, Ivanka? Do you have a death wish?" She yelled, her face turning red.
"I-I'm sorry, it was just a little," I muttered, looking away from her in shame. I couldn't bear to look at her, she was the one who found me lying unresponsive and foaming at the mouth a while ago.
"Just a little won't cut it, Ivanka." She clenched her jaw, taking hold of my hand. I sighed as she held my gaze, "You know it's not good for you, so please."
I nodded solemnly, gulping hard. I hated seeing my mother like this, it was always my fault.
Two nurses came in with equipment and told me to lift my shirt up. They put a cool gel on my tummy and started the ultrasound. I couldn't see anything but my mother could.
"We'll be right back." The female nurse said as they both left the room. "Did you see anything, Mom?" I asked, unable to read her facial expression.
"I mean...either I don't know how to look at ultrasounds or I'm blind, but I couldn't see anything." She joked, rolling her eyes. My hands trembled and beads of sweat formed in the room full of AC.
I wasn't sure what to expect.
Dr. Gupta came back into the room, with his clipboard in hand. He moved closer to me and used his stethoscope to measure my heartbeat. I didn't need any doctor to tell me that it was beating fast as hell.
"Doctor, what's the diagnosis? Is my daughter going to be fine or do we have an actual problem on our hands?" My mother inquired, running thin on patience. She crossed her arms, and tapped her foot against the floor impatiently."
"Ma'am, please calm down, we are trying to get to the bottom of it. This is a very rare case." He muttered, clipping a pulse oximeter onto my fingers. After it read, he removed it and noted down the statistics.
"Do not tell me to calm down doctor. I've been here since 2 a.m. In the morning and I want to know what's wrong with my daughter!" She raised her voice, brushing a hand through her brown hair.
"We are on it, but at this time, we can't come to a conclusion until-" The door was opened by a nurse holding ultrasound images in hand. "I'll be right back, please." He followed the nurse out, investigating the film in his hands.
I scoffed, rolling my eyes. How long would this go on for?
The doctor came back in. "It's good news and bad news."
Grace gasped, "Bad news?" Her voice quivered as she placed her hand on her forehead. "Oh dear."
"The good news is...your daughter's stomach bug is gone. She's on a fast road to recovery."
"Continue doctor."
"There's another good news." Dr. Gupta paused and smiled, "Your daughter is pregnant."
"Pregnant?" My mother's eyes widened outrageously just as my breathing seized. How the fuck was I pregnant?
"The bad news is it's an ectopic pregnancy, meaning she might have complications from now until the birth of the child."
The doctor rambled on and on, but I couldn't hear a damn word.
Pregnant? For who?
