Chapter 1 Fashion Design Exhibition

"This is it, I've finally arrived," Evelyn muttered to herself with a smile.

Evelyn was attending a prestigious fashion design exhibition in New York, introducing her work. She had dreamt of being here for a long time, and today her dream came true. The exhibition was attended by top professionals in the fashion industry, including designers, critics, and fashion journalists.

When Evelyn entered the exhibition hall, she was both nervous and excited. She was wearing one of her own designs, a deep red dress with an elegant modern cut.

Inside the exhibition hall, the other participants were busy setting up their booths. Evelyn stepped into her own booth, which was already decorated with photos of her latest collection of designs. The mannequins wearing her gowns were carefully positioned to highlight their details and uniqueness.

"Good morning! You must be Evelyn," greeted a middle-aged woman with a warm smile. "I'm Lisa, the coordinator of this event. Your designs are very impressive. Are you ready for the big day?"

"Good morning, Lisa. Thank you very much. I'm a little nervous, but very excited. This is a great opportunity for me," Evelyn replied in a tone full of enthusiasm.

Lisa nodded. "I'm sure you'll do your best. The judges and invited guests will start arriving in an hour. So, make sure everything is ready!"

Evelyn replied with a nod and a warm smile. After Lisa left, Evelyn went back to check every detail at her booth. She made sure the fabrics were hung neatly, the brochures were organized on the table, and the mannequins looked perfect. Soon, visitors began to arrive. Guests were seen admiring the works on display at the various booths.

A man in a neat suit approached Evelyn's booth. "Good morning, I'm John from Famous Fashion Magazine. I'm interested in your designs. May I know more about your inspiration?" John asked as he looked through the dresses on display.

"Of course, John. My inspiration comes from various things, from nature, art, to traditional culture. I always try to combine these elements with a modern twist to create something unique and classy," replied Evelyn excitedly.

"Your designs do look very original. How do you choose the materials for your collection?" John asked again.

"Material selection is very important to me. I always look for high-quality materials that are not only beautiful, but also comfortable to wear. I also care a lot about sustainability, so I tend to choose eco-friendly materials," Evelyn explained.

John nodded, looking impressed. "That's wonderful. I'm sure your pieces will get a lot of attention here."

After John left, Evelyn interacted with more visitors. They asked various questions about her designs, the techniques used, and her future plans. Evelyn was happy to share her passion and vision with people who shared the same interests.

In the middle of the crowd, a young woman with an eccentric dress style approached Evelyn's booth. "Hi, I'm Chloe, a fashion blogger. I've heard a lot about your designs. Can I take some photos for my blog?" she asked enthusiastically.

"Of course, Chloe. Go ahead. I'm so glad you're interested," Evelyn replied with a big smile.

Chloe started taking photos from various angles. When she was done, she asked, "Can I know more about this latest collection? What is the main theme?"

"This collection is called 'Morning Harmony'. I was inspired by the beauty that can be found in the middle of the morning. Each piece is designed to express the balance between order and disorder," Evelyn explained.

"That's a very interesting concept. I like the way you combined seemingly contradictory elements into something harmonious," Chloe praised.

After Chloe left, Evelyn proceeded to interact with more visitors. The day passed quickly, filled with interesting chats and encouraging compliments. Evelyn felt like all her hard work paid off with the appreciation she received.

As the sun began to set, Evelyn stood in front of her booth feeling content. She observed the continuing crowd and felt grateful to have been given the opportunity to participate in an event of this magnitude.

Suddenly, an elderly man with an aura of wisdom approached her. "Hello, I'm Michael, a senior designer. I've been observing your booth all day. Your designs are amazing," he said in a calm voice.

"Thank you so much, Michael. It means a lot to me, especially coming from someone like you," Evelyn replied respectfully.

"Don't be shy. I can see the passion and dedication in every detail of your work. Stick to your vision and continue to create with your heart," Michael advised.

Evelyn smiled. "Thank you for your inspiring words. I will remember them."

Evelyn strolled through the bustling art exhibition, mesmerized by the works on display. That evening, the gallery was packed with lavishly dressed guests who had come to enjoy art and wine. Soft jazz music played in the background, adding to the elegant atmosphere. Evelyn wore a simple yet elegant black dress, trying not to attract too much attention.

While walking towards one of the abstract paintings that caught her eye, she didn't realize there was someone standing nearby. Her steps accidentally stepped on a man's foot. Evelyn gasped and immediately turned around.

"Oh sorry, I really didn't mean to," Evelyn said quickly, her face showing genuine regret.

The man, Alexander, a millionaire known for being arrogant and conceited, looked at Evelyn with a sharp gaze. "Do you know who I am?" he asked in a disdainful tone.

Evelyn shook her head, still feeling guilty. "No, but I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to..."

However, before Evelyn could finish her sentence, Alexander, with an angry face, took the red wine glass in his hand and, without warning, poured it over Evelyn's head. The red liquid ran down her hair and dress, leaving everyone around them shocked and speechless.

Evelyn was dumbfounded, unable to believe what had just happened. She stood rigid, feeling the wine dripping down her face. Silence fell over them for a moment, before the sounds of whispers and murmurs from the other guests began.

Alexander smiled sarcastically. "Maybe next time you'll be more careful."

Evelyn, still reeling from Alexander's harsh treatment, felt angry and embarrassed. Without much thought, she grabbed a wine glass from the hand of a guest standing nearby. With one swift motion, she poured the contents right in Alexander's face.

Alexander jerked back, his eyes wide. He never expected that Evelyn would reciprocate his actions. His face was flushed, not just from the wine, but also from anger and embarrassment.

Chapter 2 Surprise Encounter

"You! How dare you!" Alexander shouted, his voice echoing in the gallery.

Evelyn looked at him defiantly. "I am only giving you a fitting reply for your actions. Perhaps next time you will think twice before humiliating others."

The visitors began to crowd closer, eager to see what happened next. Some people looked shocked, while others seemed to be smiling, enjoying the sudden drama in the middle of what was supposed to be a quiet art exhibition.

An elderly woman with gray hair and an elegant dress stepped forward, trying to calm the situation. "Alexander, this is enough. You've gone too far."

Alexander looked at the woman angrily. "He started it!"

The woman shook her head. "No, Alexander. You started it. And you need to stop."

Evelyn took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She knew that this situation could get worse if it wasn't brought under control soon. "I'm really sorry if I made you angry," she said in a calmer voice. "but there's no reason to humiliate someone like that."

Alexander still looked angry, but he seemed to be starting to realize that his actions had been noticed by many people. "I don't care," he said finally, in a lower voice but still full of anger. "You should have been more careful."

Evelyn nodded, though her heart was still racing. "Maybe so. but why don't we try to enjoy this evening without making any further noise?"

The crowd began to disperse slowly, though there were still a few people who remained watching with interest. The old woman, who turned out to be Alexander's mother, looked at Evelyn with appreciative eyes. "Thank you, Miss...?"

"Evelyn. Thank you," she replied politely.

Alexander snorted, but said nothing more. He took a handkerchief from his coat pocket and started wiping his wine-soaked face.

Evelyn smiled weakly. "Thank you. I just hope we can all enjoy the evening."

Elizabeth nodded. "Of course, Evelyn. Why don't you come with me to the next room to clean up? I'm sure we can find something dry for you."

Evelyn accepted the offer with relief. She walked after Elizabeth, leaving Alexander still standing with a sour face. Inside the next room, Elizabeth handed Evelyn a towel and water to clean herself up with.

"I apologize for what happened earlier," Elizabeth said as Evelyn dried her hair. "Alexander does have a difficult temper."

Evelyn smiled slightly. "It's alright. I've experienced it now."

Elizabeth chuckled. "Yes, I can see that. But don't let this ruin your wonderful evening. This exhibition is one of the best of the year."

Evelyn nodded. "I agree."

After cleaning up as best she could, Evelyn returned to the exhibition with Elizabeth.

Alexander's anger towards Evelyn did not subside, it only grew. He felt that his pride had been trampled on by a woman he found so arrogant. Around him, several of his men stood ready and waiting for orders.

Alexander took a wad of money from his bag and threw it on the table. "Look," he said in a hateful voice, "I want to sleep with that arrogant woman tonight. Give her this money, she'll never be able to refuse this much money."

His subordinate, a big man named Tony, nodded and took the money. "Yes, Mr. Alexander. I will see that woman soon."

Meanwhile, Evelyn was enjoying a drink, talking to some friends she had just met. She was trying to forget the embarrassing incident.

Tony approached Evelyn with steady steps. "Miss Evelyn?" he called in a serious tone.

Evelyn turned her head, looking at the suspicious-looking man. "Yes? What's wrong?" she asked a little warily.

Tony took out a wad of money from his bag and placed it in front of Evelyn. "Mr. Alexander sent me. He wants you to accept this money and accompany him tonight."

Evelyn looked at the money with disgust. "So, he thinks I can be bought?" she asked in a cold tone.

"Yes, that's what he said," Tony replied without hesitation.

Evelyn stood up, looking at Tony with eyes full of anger. "Tell Alexander that not everyone can be bought with money," she said before throwing the money on the floor in front of the shocked guests.

Tony collected the money quickly and returned to Alexander. "Sir, he refused and threw the money," Tony reported anxiously.

Alexander snorted angrily. "What? That woman really doesn't know her place!" he said in a loud voice. "Well, if she wants to play hard, we'll play hard."

He stood up and gave a stern order to the other men. "I want you to investigate everything about Evelyn. Find out anything we can use to bring her down."

His subordinate, a man named Mike, nodded. "Yes, sir. We will begin now."

Evelyn walked grumbling, feeling angry and hurt at Alexander's actions of offering her money to sleep with him. Every step she took was heavy with the weight of the humiliation she felt. Her pride felt trampled upon, and it made her even more upset.

"How could he possibly think I would accept such a disgusting offer?" muttered Evelyn to herself. "Does he think all women can be bought with money?"

Without realizing it, Evelyn bumped into Alexander's body who had just come out of the toilet. Alexander's shirt was still dirty, the wine stain he had poured on Evelyn clearly visible there.

"Hey, not only do you like stepping on people's feet, but it's also a hobby to bump into people's bodies," Alexander taunted with a sardonic smile on his face.

"You're a shameless man," Evelyn retorted with her voice quivering with anger. "I apologized, but you poured wine on me. When I repaid you, was your pride so wounded that you had to offer me money to sleep with you?!"

Alexander chuckled. "Oh, so you feel offended, Evelyn? I was just joking."

"Joking? Offering a woman money to sleep with you is not a joke. It's an insult!"

Alexander brought his body closer to Evelyn's. He could feel her body heat and her heavy breathing. "What are you doing?" asked Evelyn in shock, her eyes wide with surprise.

"If you don't want to sleep with me, how about a kiss?" said Alexander as he brought his lips to Evelyn whose body was already pressed against the wall.

Evelyn felt trapped, her heart beating fast. "Don't mess with me, Alexander," she whispered in a trembling tone.

"I'm serious, Evelyn. You know, there's something about you that I can't stop thinking about," Alexander replied, his voice soft yet filled with intent.

Evelyn tried to get away, but there was nowhere to run. "You're a very annoying man. why don't you just go away and leave me alone?"

Alexander smiled and looked deeply into her eyes. "Because I can't, Evelyn. There's something between us that I can't ignore."

"This is all just a game to you, isn't it?" said Evelyn in a voice that was starting to get hoarse. "You enjoy seeing me tormented."

"Not a game, Evelyn. I just want to know if you feel the same way."

"About what?" asked Evelyn, though she knew the answer to come.

"This attraction," Alexander replied confidently. "This tension. Every time we meet, there's a fire we can't put out."

Evelyn felt heat on her cheeks. "You're wrong. Your so-called attraction is just an illusion. You're just an arrogant man who thinks everyone is yours to have."

Alexander shook his head. "I'm not arrogant, Evelyn. I'm just honest. And that honesty tells me that there is something between us."

"There's nothing like that," Evelyn tried to dismiss the thoughts that were starting to grow inside her. "Let go of me."

Alexander did not move. "Tell me, Evelyn. If I kissed you right now, would you stop me?"

Evelyn was silent, her heart racing. Alexander was getting closer, and she could feel his body heat. "Don't even try," he whispered again, but this time with less conviction.

"I just want one kiss, Evelyn. Just one," Alexander said, his voice almost a whisper.

Chapter 3 Alexander's Madness

Evelyn felt weak, yet she tried to defend herself. "You really are shameless."

Alexander smiled. "Maybe. but I also know what I want.

Evelyn pushed Alexander away, her face bright red. "Don't ever do that again," she said in a stern voice.

Alexander only smiled faintly. "We'll see, Evelyn. We will see."

Evelyn pushed Alexander's body away roughly as his lips almost touched hers. "Have you gone mad?" exclaimed Evelyn angrily. Her face was flushed, and her eyes blazed with uncontainable fury. Alexander took a step back, surprised by Evelyn's sharp reaction.

"I just wanted-" Alexander tried to explain, but Evelyn cut him off with a cold voice.

"There is no excuse for what you're trying to do, Alexander. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior," Evelyn stated firmly, looking at Alexander with firmness. "I've apologized and hope you can forget what happened."

Alexander looked at Evelyn with a mixed expression of confusion and regret. "I can't just forget, Evelyn. I am attracted to you."

Evelyn let out a long breath, trying to calm herself down. "Look, Alexander. I don't want to get involved in anything with you anymore. We need to keep our distance."

However, Alexander did not take the rejection easily. "You may not want to get involved with me, but I can't ignore you. I'm starting to get attracted to you, Evelyn," Alexander said in a serious tone.

"Don't wish for that. You're already involved with me, and I'm not going to just let you go," Alexander added with an intense gaze, making Evelyn's heart swoon.

"Come sleep with me for just one night!"

"You're so crazy I just stepped on your foot, and you're asking me to sleep with you!"

Evelyn tried not to be swayed, but Alexander's words echoed in her mind. "Don't come any closer, Alexander. I mean it," Evelyn said firmly, hoping her voice didn't show the hesitation she felt.

Alexander brought his face closer to Evelyn's, making the distance between them even narrower. "You know, Evelyn, you are a very playful toy," Alexander whispered in a soft yet eager voice.

The words made Evelyn's blood boil. "Toy? You think I'm a toy to you?" retorted Evelyn, her voice rising an octave. "I'm a human being, Alexander, not an object you can play with to your heart's content."

Alexander looked at Evelyn silently for a moment, then said in a softer tone, "I didn't mean that, Evelyn. I mean, you make my life more interesting. There's something about you that makes me want to know more."

Evelyn felt confused by her own feelings. "I don't know what you want from me, Alexander, but for sure, I don't want to get further involved. We should keep our distance."

However, Alexander did not give up so easily. "Evelyn, I know you feel there is something between us. Don't deny it," Alexander urged, trying to convince Evelyn.

"What something?! I don't even know you!"

"Now you know me don't you?! I'm a millionaire!"

Evelyn shook her head, trying to ignore her mixed feelings. "You're a crazy rich guy!"

Alexander looked stunned at Evelyn's words. "My madness will put you in your arms...."

Evelyn looked at Alexander with teary eyes. "Because I don't want to be involved in this drama. I want my life to be calm and without complications. And you, Alexander, bring a lot of complications."

Alexander moved closer again, taking a big risk by approaching Evelyn who clearly wanted to keep her distance. "I haven't done anything to your life yet. I haven't started...."

Evelyn let out a long breath, feeling conflicted. "You're stressing me out so much today!"

"Go away!"

Alexander smiled faintly. "I love that arrogance of yours."

Evelyn felt her heart rippling again at Alexander's words. There was something in Alexander that made it difficult for her to truly reject him, even though her logic said otherwise. "We'll see, Alexander, but for now, please stay away from me."

Alexander nodded, honoring Evelyn's request. "Very well, Evelyn. I will honor your wishes, but I hope, eventually, you will be in my bed."

Evelyn raised her hand to slap Alexander, but Alexander immediately grabbed the hand that had yet to touch her cheek, and then clasped Evelyn's hand.

"What are you doing!"

"I haven't even started yet!"

Evelyn immediately let go of Alexander's hand and walked away.

Alexander strode with steady steps towards the exit of the crowded art exhibition. With a pair of passionate eyes, he took a deep breath, refraining from rushing. "It's about time," he muttered to himself, glancing at his expensive watch.

It didn't take her long to make her way to the parking lot. In his luxury car, his mind kept drifting to Evelyn's beautiful face, her charming smile, and her arrogance that made her even more attractive.

After arriving at the hotel, Alexander immediately heads to his luxurious room with a stunning view of the city from the window. However, his gaze immediately falls on the shirt he wore at the art exhibition earlier; now stained with the wine Evelyn spilled. "That woman!" he hissed, annoyed at the dirty shirt.

With a steady motion, he took off his suit and threw it on the sofa. Grabbing the mineral water bottle from the bedside table, Alexander looked at the dirty clothes with a frustrated expression. "I'll get that arrogant woman," he complained to himself.

His thoughts returned to Evelyn, her alluring face, but her arrogant attitude. A sly smile crept across his face as he imagined how he would make her regret having ignored him. "She'll be in my bed soon," he murmured, voicing his sly thoughts.

For a moment, he was silent, letting his mind drift to the plans he had already laid out in his mind. "Nothing can stand in my way," he said, his voice full of conviction.

Staring up at the ceiling of the luxurious room, Alexander thought about his next steps. "Now, I need to make sure everything goes according to plan," he said, his voice full of determination.

With steady steps, he headed for the closet to grab some more decent clothes. However, his mind kept drifting to Evelyn's beautiful face, making him even more determined to carry out his plan.

"You won't be able to resist me this time, Evelyn," he muttered with a sly smile, assuring himself that he would manage to execute his plan perfectly.

After a few hours of enjoying the exhibition, Evelyn started to feel tired. It was time to find a place to rest. She hadn't booked a hotel yet because she was busy preparing for the exhibition. Evelyn immediately opened her phone and started looking for the nearest hotel. However, every hotel she contacted said the same thing: "sorry, all rooms are full."

Confusion began to set in for Evelyn. "I can't sleep on the streets," she thought. She decided to walk to a nearby hotel and try her luck there.
