The Defiant Omega's Revenge On Her Cheating Alpha

Author: Mu Xiaoai
Genre: Werewolf
After seven years of being together, I was finally going to try on my custom wedding dress and become Judd's Luna. But he showed up late to the boutique, reeking of another Omega's sweet gardenia perfume. When I canceled the ceremony, he thought I was just throwing a childish tantrum. He even brought his mistress, Corine, back to the shop and let her put on my six-figure wedding gown. "You look beautiful," Judd told her, looking at me with disappointment. Later, when my grandmother was on her deathbed, I desperately called him, needing my Alpha by my side for our sacred pack duty. "Judd can't come to the phone right now," Corine answered sweetly. My grandmother passed away without him there, and my seven years of devotion were treated like absolute garbage. He thought I was just a docile Omega who couldn't survive without him, assuming I would eventually come begging for his forgiveness. He didn't know I had already dumped hot coffee all over that white dress and slapped him across the face. And he certainly didn't know I had just signed the asset division accord, ready to liquidate every single penny we shared and leave him with nothing.

Chapter 1

Hallie POV:

I stood before the three-way mirror, the custom gown perfectly outlining my figure. Named "Eternity," it was crafted from layers of silk and lace, with thousands of tiny diamonds scattered across the skirt like a sky full of stars.

My fingertips traced the delicate embroidery at my waist. A blooming white rose, the symbol of my family, the Whitaker Pack.

Seven years.

Seven years of waiting, of preparing, of believing that everything I had sacrificed would lead to this moment, to this dress, to the ceremony that would officially make me the Luna beside his Alpha.

"Miss Whitaker, you look like the Moon Goddess herself," Chloe, the boutique attendant, whispered as she stood beside me. "Alpha Kemp will be speechless when he sees you."

I smiled at my reflection, but my fingers tightened around the edge of the skirt. My fiancé, Judd Kemp, was fifteen minutes late. He had never been late for anything related to our binding ceremony.

Chloe noticed the change in my expression and quickly spoke up. "Alphas are always buried in Pack affairs, especially before such an important ceremony. It only proves how much responsibility he takes for your future."

I lowered my gaze and adjusted the folds of the gown. She was right.

Judd had always been ambitious. Over the years, he had spent countless nights working on the Kemp Pack's expansion. I had watched him build his reputation, believing that one day I would stand beside him as his Luna.

The bell above the shop door rang.

Judd stepped inside, his tall figure filling the doorway. He wore a perfectly fitted suit, his short blond hair catching the light as he walked toward me.

The moment his eyes landed on me, surprise flashed across his face. He quickly covered it with a familiar charming smile and crossed the room. "Sorry, darling. The meeting ran longer than expected."

He pulled me into his arms before I could respond, lowering his head into the crook of my neck. His deep voice brushed against my skin. "You take my breath away."

I closed my eyes for a moment, letting myself sink into the embrace I had dreamed of for years.

Then my wolf stirred.

A strange scent slipped into my breath. It wasn't Judd's usual cedarwood cologne. It wasn't the familiar scent of anyone from our Pack.

It was another Omega's scent.

Gardenia and musk. Faint, but impossible to ignore. It lingered on the collar of his suit jacket, exactly where another woman would leave her scent after being held in his arms.

My hands slowly fell from his shoulders.

Among werewolves, scent was the mark of the soul. It could not be imitated, and it could not be erased easily. A loyal mate would never carry another person's scent.

I looked at our reflection in the mirror. The perfect couple standing beneath the boutique lights now looked like a cruel joke.

I pushed him away.

The movement was small, but firm enough that Judd immediately noticed.

His brows drew together. Confusion flashed in his eyes before it was replaced by the familiar look he used whenever he thought I was being unreasonable. He lifted his hand and reached toward my hair, his tone gentle in the same way one would calm a restless pet.

"What's wrong? Getting nervous before the ceremony?"

I tilted my head and avoided his touch.

It was the first time I had ever moved away from him.

Judd's hand stopped in midair. The smile disappeared from his face, and the room fell silent.

Chloe stood nearby, nervously twisting her fingers. "Alpha, maybe Miss Whitaker is just tired. The gown is quite heavy."

I didn't answer either of them. My eyes remained fixed on the mirror.

The golden couple everyone admired.

What a ridiculous illusion.

Judd's patience quickly faded. His voice turned colder.

"Hallie, stop this. We still have many details to confirm."

I turned around and looked directly at him. My voice stayed even as I asked the question that had already confirmed everything. "Did you go to the Donovan Pack's territory today?"

For a brief moment, his eyes changed. Only for a second. Then he looked at me calmly again. "Yes. There was a land partnership project. Why?"

Gardenia.

The signature scent of perfumes favored by the women of the Donovan Pack.

The final piece fell into place. I curled my lips into a faint smile. "Nothing. I'm tired. I want to take the dress off."

Before he could say anything, I turned and walked into the dressing room, closing the heavy door behind me and locking it.

Judd's impatient voice came through the door, mixed with Chloe's attempts to calm him down.

I grabbed the gown and pulled it off.

The dress that had carried seven years of my youth, my hopes, and my promise to him. This time, I dropped it onto the floor without hesitation.

My fingers were cold, but steady. I picked up my phone and dialed my younger sister Anna's number, one I had memorized long ago. The call connected almost immediately.

"Hallie?"

I lowered my voice, standing alone in the dressing room with one hand gripping the phone.

"Anna," I whispered, my voice calmer than ever before. "It's over between Judd and me. I want to cancel the binding ceremony."

Chapter 2

Hallie POV:

My hand remained wrapped around the phone. Anna was silent for ten seconds after hearing my words.

Then she only said one thing. "Okay. I'll be waiting."

My sister Anna had always been that way. As my Alpha, she never asked unnecessary questions or hesitated when I needed her.

Outside the door, Judd finally lost his patience. His fist struck the wood, and his voice carried the unmistakable authority of an Alpha. "Hallie, open this door! Stop this nonsense!"

I leaned against the cold wall and listened to his voice through the door.

Nonsense?

That was what he called it. To him, this was nothing more than an Omega throwing a fit.

A familiar pressure suddenly pulsed through my mind. Judd was trying to reach me through the mate link. "Hallie, baby, I know you're nervous, but we can't do this. Be good. Come out, and we'll go home and talk properly."

His voice sounded gentle, but every word carried the same condescension he always used when he thought I would eventually give in.

I closed my eyes and gathered my strength. In my mind, I built a wall of ice and pushed it down without hesitation, cutting off the connection between us.

Mates rarely severed a mind-link this way. It was like closing a door directly on the other's soul.

The sudden silence inside my head felt unfamiliar, but clean. The pounding outside the door stopped as well.

Judd had clearly not expected me to block him.

A moment later, my phone vibrated. A message from him.

I'm waiting in the car.

I changed back into my own clothes and left "Eternity" lying on the floor of the dressing room. Without looking back, I walked out through the boutique's back entrance.

Instead of going to the parking garage to find Judd, I called a car and headed straight back to the penthouse we shared.

Halfway there, the mate link pulsed again. This time, Judd's voice carried impatience beneath his carefully controlled tone. "I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have been late, and I shouldn't have lost my temper. I love you, Hallie. Don't throw away seven years over one small argument."

I didn't answer.

When I returned to the penthouse at the top of Celestial Tower, the first thing I did was call my lawyer.

"Mark," I said the moment he answered. "Put the Celestial Tower apartment on the market. Immediately. And draft a partnership asset division agreement."

There was a brief silence on the other end. Mark was surprised, but he quickly returned to his professional tone. "Of course, Miss Whitaker."

After hanging up, I stood in the middle of the apartment we had shared and looked around. The furniture, the decorations, every corner of this place had once belonged to our future.

Now, I only saw the traces of everything he had hidden from me.

I sat down on the sofa, picked up my phone, and opened WolfConnect, the Pack's private social platform. A new post appeared at the top of my feed. The account belonged to an Omega I vaguely recognized.

Corine Donovan.

The photo showed an expensive cocktail sitting on a table. Behind it was the terrace of an upscale city restaurant. But the detail that caught my attention was the man's hand resting in the corner of the frame.

On his wrist was the Patek Philippe watch I had given Judd for his twenty-fourth birthday. I had personally engraved a tiny wolf totem on the side of the watch face. There was only one in the world.

Corine's caption was simple.

Some things are worth the wait.

The post had been uploaded one hour ago. Exactly when I had been standing in the bridal boutique waiting for Judd.

I stared at the screen and finally understood what his "urgent meeting" had been.

I saved the screenshot and sent it directly to Mark. My follow-up message was brief. "Additional evidence. Expedite the agreement."

After sending it, I stood up and walked into the master closet. I pulled out the largest suitcase we owned. Then I started removing Judd's clothes, shoes, and accessories from the shelves.

The electronic lock on the front door beeped.

Judd was home. When he stepped inside and saw me standing beside the packed suitcase, his expression changed instantly.

"Hallie, what the hell do you think you're doing?" His voice dropped, cold and threatening, like a storm about to break.

Chapter 3

Hallie POV:

I didn't stop what I was doing. I simply grabbed one of his dress shirts and shoved it into the suitcase.

Before I could reach for another piece of clothing, Judd crossed the room and caught my wrist. His grip tightened like iron, carrying the strength of an Alpha. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't pull away.

The man standing in front of me looked nothing like the one who had held me in his arms earlier. The warmth in his eyes was gone, replaced by the cold authority of someone who couldn't accept being challenged.

"What are you doing, Hallie?" he growled. "You're tearing apart the home we built together."

I slowly lifted my head and met his angry gaze. Without saying a word, I turned my phone screen toward him. Corine's post was still displayed clearly.

The photo, the watch, the timestamp. Everything was right there.

Judd's pupils narrowed. For a brief moment, panic flashed across his face before he quickly covered it. He hadn't expected me to discover everything so soon. His fingers loosened, and he released my wrist.

"It's a misunderstanding," he said immediately, his voice returning to that calm, convincing tone he always used when trying to control a situation. "Corine is the Donovan Alpha's sister. We were only discussing business. She..."

"Your lies," I interrupted, my voice quiet but sharp. "They are just as cheap as the perfume she left on you."

I removed the ring from my finger, the one he had given me on our first anniversary.

For seven years, I had worn it as a promise. Now, I dropped it at his feet.

The ring struck the polished marble floor with a clear sound before spinning to a stop.

"Get out of my house." I pointed toward the door.

Judd's face darkened instantly. His jaw tightened, and his hands clenched at his sides. His pride as an Alpha had been wounded. Before he could respond, his phone rang.

He glanced at the screen. The change in his expression was immediate. A trace of panic appeared before he quickly turned the phone away, preparing to silence the call.

But I saw the name.

Corine.

He answered and turned his back to me, lowering his voice. He thought I wouldn't hear. But my Omega hearing caught every word.

"...don't cry... I'll be there soon... wait for me at the shop."

The shop? The word stayed in my mind. What shop was he talking about?

Judd ended the call and turned back. His expression had already returned to frustration and helplessness, as if I were the one making things difficult. "Hallie, we'll talk about this later. I have an emergency."

He didn't wait for my response or even spare me another glance. He grabbed his coat and walked out of the apartment, leaving me alone in the silence he created.

I stood in the living room, watching the door close behind him. A thought slowly formed.

I immediately called Chloe at Elysian Bridals.

"Chloe, did Alpha Kemp contact you? Did he say he was bringing someone else there?"

Her voice hesitated.

"Yes, Miss Whitaker... He said... he was bringing a friend to look at another evening gown. She heard you were here trying on your wedding dress and wanted to take a look."

Another evening gown.

So while I was waiting for him in "Eternity," Judd had already told Corine about the ceremony and my dress fitting. She had used the opportunity to ask to come along, and he had agreed.

How convenient. A perfect excuse to bring another woman into the place where I was supposed to become his Luna.

I clenched my fingers around the phone and said calmly, "I'm coming back. Don't let anyone touch 'Eternity' until I arrive."

I ended the call and rushed back to Elysian Bridals. The city streets passed quickly outside the window as I headed straight there.

The moment I pushed open the boutique door, the scene inside stopped me.

Corine was standing in front of my mirror. Judd stood behind her, carefully adjusting a loose strand of her hair. She was still wearing her own clothes, but her eyes were fixed on my wedding gown displayed on the mannequin.

My gown.

The one I had waited seven years to wear.

Chloe and the other attendants stood nearby, their expressions uncomfortable. My arrival broke the atmosphere instantly.

Judd turned around, his expression changing. Corine startled and immediately stepped behind him.

But before she hid completely, I caught the flash of satisfaction in her eyes.

Judd stepped forward, blocking my path like he was protecting her. "Hallie, don't make a scene here," he warned in a low voice.

I didn't even look at him. I walked past him and stopped in front of Chloe.

My voice remained calm, but every word carried authority.

"Chloe, please put my gown away." I glanced at Corine. "This... lady... isn't worthy of touching it."

Corine's face immediately lost its color. She bit her lip, her eyes filling with tears as she looked at Judd. "Judd, I... I only thought it was beautiful..."

Judd's expression hardened. His protective instinct immediately took over. "Hallie, that's enough. Corine didn't do anything wrong. I brought her here."

I watched the two of them stand together, one protecting and one pretending to be hurt. Then I smiled.

I turned toward Corine, softening my voice into something almost gentle. "I'm sorry. Maybe I misunderstood."

My eyes fell on the wedding gown behind her. "Since you like it so much... why don't you try it on?"
