The Cursed Alpha And His Golden Wolf

Izabelle's POV

I'm Izabelle. My friends call me Izzy. I'm waiting for something for many years. And that thing is my birthday. It's not just any birthday. It's my eighteenth birthday.

I'm excited because I know that this is the day

when I'm going to get my answers. There are a lot of questions that keep bugging my mind and no matter how many times I ask my parents, they never reply. They just ask me to wait for my eighteenth birthday. They say it will be easier for them to make me understand when I turn eighteen. I hate my parents when they behave so mysteriously. To be honest, my parents aren't the only thing in my life that is mysterious. There are a lot of things that are beyond mystery.

Let me start with my schools. I'm a normal girl

who wanted to live a normal life and could grow up playing with her friends.

But, it is just a dream for me. I don't know why but, my parents change city after every year and force me not to have contact with any of my friends. It sucks when I have to leave my friends behind and go to a strange city and start making friends all over again...

Let's come to the second part. It's my dream. I

kind of have nightmares every night. I see strange things in my dream, it's... it's horrible. Out of all the nightmares, one is very common that I see almost every night.

There is a big black wolf. Its eyes are fiery red and it is angry. It is growling in rage. And then there comes another wolf.

It is much smaller in comparison to the black one and its fur is golden in color. Its eyes are golden too. It's pretty beautiful but terrified like a kitten. At a moment, their eyes meet and the next moment, that black wolf starts running after the golden wolf. The golden wolf is scared. She runs for her life. She keeps running away but in the end, the black wolf grabs her with his sharp claws, and then... I wake up from my nightmares, sweating all over my body.

I don't know why but this dream scares the shit

out of me. I can't forget that fiery red eyes. I ask my parents why I see the same dream every night and why I feel the pain and fear that the golden wolf was going through but all that I get to hear from them is that I'll understand it once I turn eighteen.

" Come on, Izzy... What are you doing there

alone? It's your birthday tonight... Come, get on the dance floor, baby, "

Lydia, one of my new friends, called me while dancing with a guy she just met tonight,

I gave her a smile but I was not intended to go

there. I was not even interested to throw a birthday party but my parents have just shifted to this new city and I had to get back to my all-time hated job...

I mean, trying my best to make a few friends. I had only invited four girls but God knows how six girls and four boys appeared. My mom was angry. She didn't want me to go out tonight. She wanted me to stay at home. I don't know if she

wanted me to celebrate this day with family or.. she was looking a bit terrified at the thought of me leaving home tonight. Anyway, I couldn't miss any chance to make new friends by throwing a party, so, I coaxed her to let me go. But, it seems like it was a bad idea because these people weren't looking interested in me or my birthday party, they were more into free drinks and parties.

I checked my wristwatch. It's almost midnight. I

would soon turn eighteen. I was so excited. I checked on my friends, they were busy with their partners. No one was looking interested in wishing me or something. But, it's fine. It would be easier for me since my mother let me come only on one condition and the condition was that I'll be alone sharp at Twelve. I don't know why but she insisted on it. She made me promise her that no one should see me at that time. After I promised her, she hugged me and

said, " You will be surprised tonight. Your life is going to change, but don't worry, I'm always with you, "

" Mom, you remember your promise, right? You are going to tell me everything after I return, okay? " I asked,

She smiled before placing a soft kiss on my

forehead as she said in a gentle voice, " Yes, we remember it darling and after You come back, we will tell you everything that you need to know, "

My mom's voice was still moving in my head when I came out of the pub and walked into the woods. I thought it would be a better place to be alone. I guess I would be the only girl on the planet who is going to celebrate her eighteenth birthday in a dark wood. Anyway, I'm not a normal girl, am I?

I was staring at my watch and it shows the time

I was desperately waiting for. I was now eighteen years old. I closed my eyes to get to enjoy this feeling but then I don't know what happened, my heartbeat increased and I suddenly started feeling hot.

' What's happening to me? Why am I sweating all over my body? ' I thought,

It was becoming very hard for me to stay in the

woods now. Besides, I was already terrified of staying alone in the woods and now this sudden heart problem scared me to death.

The emotions and pain that I was feeling from

the inside were terrible. For a second, I thought my body was not mine anymore or I'm going to change into something else. I guess I might have drunk wine tonight that had left its effect on my body but, after some time, everything get back to normal. Nothing happened, neither did I get a heart attack nor my body changed into something.

I took a long breath and calm myself down. But

then, I heard something...

" Go back to your home, "

It was a soft female voice that sounded near my

ears, I immediately turned back, but there was no one standing behind me. I gulped and shook my head thinking that I misheard something but then the voice sounded again,

" Go back to your home, "

This time I was terrified. I was alone in the woods then where the hell was this voice coming from?

" Wh... Who is this? " I asked while holding my

chest,

" Go back to your home, RIGHT NOW.. "

The voice sounded again, freaking the shit out

of me. As if it was not enough that I was in a dark forest all alone that this scary voice started haunting me. The most terrifying thing was that I kind of felt that the voice was coming from inside me. I couldn't help freaking out.

Was I possessed by a spirit who was trying to control me?

I didn't know what was going on but I kind of

feel that something terrible was going to happen and I have to go back to my home. So, I trusted this voice coming from inside and ran.

It was just a matter of time before I was standing in front of my house. I rushed out of the car and walked up to my home. I was just going to ring the bell when I noticed that the door was already open. It surprised me a bit but the sight that I saw after entering my home almost stopped my heart from beating. Windows were broken, curtains, pillows, and other stuff were lying on the floor. There wasn't a spot left where the pieces of glass were not shattered. On top of that, the walls had stains of blood. It seemed like a sudden earthquake had hit my home.

" Where are Mom and Dad? "

This was the first thought that occurred to my

mind. I hold my heart in my palm as I called, " M.. Mom... D... Dad, where are you? "

I was running into my house like insane just to

see my parents. Electricity wasn't working for the moment and all I could see was darkness. I was just praying that my parents would be okay while looking for them.. and then.. my gaze fell on something through the curtains. At first sight, I thought it was a wild animal.

" Wh... Who is there..? M.. Mom? "

I knew that it couldn't be my mom as I saw that

thing standing on four feet. But, I was too worried for my mom that the word 'Mom' automatically came out of my mouth. No one replied while that thing was coming closer to me. I was already afraid and now seeing that someone is coming at me, I panicked. I turned on the flashlight of my phone with trembling hands and threw it forward,

As soon as the light fell on it and his image appeared before my eyes, I was lifeless. My eyes were wildly opened in shock and legs were trembling with terror. The person standing before my eyes was neither a human nor an animal. It was a wolf but with the senses of humans.

" Am I into my nightmares? "

This is the first thought that occurred to me as

I had seen such kinds of creatures in my nightmares quite a lot.

" This is a dream... This is just a dream. Don't

be afraid, Izzy, it's just a dream... " I muttered after immediately closing my eyes,

I might have continued standing up there like a

dummy and gotten myself killed if I hadn't heard that strange voice again,

" Run... Izzy RUN.. "

After listening to this voice, I opened my eyes

and turned back before running out as fast as I could,

Damien's

POV

" What's the problem, Alpha Jakob? We had assembled the meeting last month. Why did you assemble it so soon? "

" Because a very huge disaster is on our head, Alpha Blake. We are in a very dire situation right now. If we don't do anything right now, our packs would become history for the next generations, "

"Alpha Jakob, will you please stop playing around the brushes and tell us what's the matter? "

"Ah... How to start, Has anyone here heard the name ' Titans ' ? "

" Let me tell you a legend. This legend says that there was once a pack named Titans who had done something very dark and inexplicable. This pack had done some deeds that forced Moon Goddess to descend herself, "

"What?? Titans made Moon Goddess descend? " The young voice sounded again,

" Why are you looking excited? There was nothing to be proud of, " a strict cold voice sounded who scolded the young Alpha for praising Titans.

"Do you want me to shut up these bastards and announce your presence? " Alex, my beta asked. I could see his eyes burning in fury while listening to these Alpha's conversation,

" No need... I would like to hear what else they know, " I said while curling my lips up as I kept standing in front of the door to listen more before giving these Alphas my visit.

" Don't be mad, Alpha Jordan... Alpha Jayden lacks knowledge. Let me tell him the whole story. Alpha Jayden, don't be reckless. You know nothing about this pack. Yes, Titans indeed made Moon Goddess descend for them, but it was not something that they could be proud of. Moon Goddess appeared, not to bless them but curse them. She cursed this pack not to be able to find their mate for eternity, "

The gossipy voice sounded again and so did the young voice,

" What? Moon Goddess cursed them to live without mates? It... It's a very harsh punishment for a werewolf. I would rather die than not be able to find my better half. What happened then? "

"What would happen to a pack who can't find their mates? Titans which were considered to be the most powerful pack among all, became weaker and weaker day by day. A mating bond helps werewolves strengthen their power and when you can't find your mate, your power would start withering. The elders were worried. So, they start begging for mercy from the Moon Goddess. It's not very clear in the legend what did they exactly do but they made Moon Goddess appear again, "

"What?? Moon Goddess appeared again? Is it even possible? " The young Alpha might have choked on his drink after listening to the last sentence,

" Yeah, she did appear... This time, she grant them mercy and made their curse a

bit easier, "

"What did she do? "

"She told them about the golden wolf. The wolf that takes birth after every thousand years. She announced that this golden wolf will be the curse breaker of the cursed pack. Only a golden wolf can break their curse and revive the pack, "

"A golden wolf? I have heard that no one has ever seen a golden wolf. Do they really exist? " Alpha Jayden asked,

" How can a golden wolf exist when her pack is already destroyed? "

" What do you mean? Was there a whole pack of golden wolves? " Alpha Jayden asked,

" Legend says that there was once a pack called, The Divine pack. They are as older as Titans. After every thousand years, a golden wolf would always take birth in this pack and that wolf would be treated as Goddess. But, after the news spread that the golden wolf can break the curse of Titans, the Alphas of other

packs came into terror. They had once faced the cruelty of Titans, they didn't want that cruelty to come back again. So, they established a meeting and came to a conclusion so that they could stop the titans from breaking their curse, "

"They planned to wipe out the Divine pack, "

"What?? They... They ambushed the Divine pack instead of ambushing Titans? "

"Titans were on hide-out. It was hard to locate them and kill them for good. Ambushing the Divine pack was easier since there wasn't a golden wolf in the pack for the moment. So, they joined forces and killed every single member of this pack so that no one in the future can give birth to a wolf who will in the future give birth to a golden wolf, "

" Is this even true? I mean, is there really a cursed pack like Titans and a golden wolf? " asked Jayden,

" We all came to know this through the legend. No one was present hundreds of years ago. We can only put our faith in the legend. We don't have any evidence about it, "

"So, what happened to the ' Titans ' then? "

"They were hunted down by the other packs for centuries and finally disappeared from the world. Why did you mention them, Alpha Jakob? This cursed pack is long gone, then why are you looking so worried about it? " Alpha Blake

stated,

I could hear Alpha Jakob's heartbeat, he was terrified while mentioning it,

" They have appeared. They are back again, "

" Who is back? " Alpha Blake asked,

" The Titans... They are back... And.. rumors are circulating that.. that the golden wolf has taken birth.. "

" What?? How is it possible? Is... Is the legend really true? T.. Titans exist and the golden wolf too? "

The older Alphas who were narrating the story as if they had seen everything happening with their eyes, were now frightened to death and sounding more surprised than Alpha Jayden,

" But, wasn't the divine pack wiped out? How could a golden wolf appear? "

" I don't know but rumors are that there is a couple who knows something about the golden wolf and Titans, I have heard that they are back. This time, with the strength no one can imagine.. "

" Is... Is it really true, Alpha Jakob? "

" Yes, It's true.. " I announced while kicking the door open, grabbing everyone's attention at me,

Alex immediately went to pull a seat for me as I sat elegantly on the chair before putting my feet on the table on which they were discussing something about Titans and the Golden wolf just to annoy these rascals. I could see the raising fury in their eyes for my manners as they ask with dark eyes, " May I know who you are, young man? "

I curled my lips into a smile before shooting a glance over everyone as I said, " I'm Damien Salvatore, the Alpha of the cursed pack ' Titan ' "

Damien's

POV

I could see their face turning pale, their hearts beating faster and their legs trembling in fear. A few minutes before, they were enjoying telling the stories about my ancestors yet they didn't really believe in it. Now, that they finally came to face the reality, they were looking terrified,

"Th.. The legends are true. T.. Titans exist, " one of them muttered with his mouth hung open in shock,

" Yes, it's true but the legend didn't explain the whole thing, like what had they actually done to receive such a curse? Let me explain a bit. Titan was not just a pack. It was a definition of fear and dominance. The Alphas of small packs like you used to pee after hearing Titan's name. One day, Titan massacred every pack, they killed all the men and women, leaving only children behind. In just one night, they killed all the werewolves who used to worship Moon Goddess and thus received the curse, " I announced while pursing my lips before adding,

" And yeah, Titans disappeared after a few centuries. But, it's not because they were weak and hunted down. It's because, they were tired of dealing with useless people. They wanted to recuperate and come back after becoming stronger than they used to be once, "

"So, it's true. Your pack was as cruel as it is mentioned in the legends," Alpha Jakob said, looking coldly at me, I smiled at him before

replying, " You are using the wrong word, Alpha Jakob. Titans ARE cruel, not WAS. We had been recuperating but not disappeared. We are still a very important part of our species, "

"Wh.. What do you want from us? Why did you come here? And.. Why did you show up only now when our people had already started believing that the Titans are just a fictional tale and don't exist for real, " Alpha Blake asked hesitantly,

"Since you guys have started forgetting the pack who once ruled all over you, It's all the very reason for me to show up here, " I replied with a sarcastic smile,

"What do you want from us? Why have you exactly come here? " Alpha Jakob asked,

looking straight into my eyes which I really hate. I still smiled at him before saying, " Nothing... I just came here to register my pack, "

"You have come here just to register your pack? " Alpha Jakob asked in disbelief,

"Yes.. Whenever a new pack is formed, its Alpha has to register its pack to the committee, right? Even though my pack is older than all of yours, it still is new for now. So, I have come here to register my pack and officially join the committee as the Alpha of Titans, " I replied,

"Who are you fooling with, huh? Do you think we don't know how Titans work? They never show respect to the committee. They always thought that they were superior to other Alphas and never get along with them. They treated every pack as small ants in their path. They never gave their attention to these packs to join their committee. What exactly do you want here? " Alpha Jakob said angrily,

"What if I say I'm learning from my ancestors' mistakes and want a fresh start for my pack? " I asked while raising my eyebrows,

"This is all bullshit!! I don't believe in your silly excuses. After all, an apple doesn't fall from its tree. You are a titan, an Alpha of the cursed pack. How can we let you join us and anger the Moon Goddess? " Alpha Blake said in disagreement,

I haven't come here just to register my pack, " I said while walking closer to his chair as I leaned closer to him only to say this while staring his eyes, " I have come here to warn you, Alpha Jakob! Stay away from HER! I know what you are doing and I'm warning you, Do not even dare to think of harming her because I'll tolerate no harm on her. So, whatever you are doing, stop it! Tell your omegas to stop looking for her because she is

His words excited me as I looked impatiently into his eyes before asking, " Did they find any clue? "

Alex lowered his head in disappointment before saying in a low voice, " You know our wolves' problem, they lose control before they could get some information out of them and.. "

" And what??? " I groaned as I grabbed Alex's collar in anger, he bit his lips before saying, " They killed them.. "

" What?? Did they kill the couple? " And what about her? Did the couple say anything before dying? " I asked in excitement,

" No, they didn't open their mouth. It's because our men didn't give them time for it and killed them instantly, "

" Tell me their names.. No one should be spared. Everyone would be beaten to death... " I said while rubbing my forehead, trying hard to suppress my anger,
