The Crazy Love Story Ends With Us

A teenage girl walks towards the doors of a high school building, Brooklyn high school, feeling despondent. She was doing great in her old school but her father just had to get a transfer. Now she had to make new friends, gain a new identity and strive to be popular again which was almost everything in highschool. She opens the door and enters the bubbling hallway.

Who was she to ask help from? A boy having a heated make out, a girl ransacking her locker and looking very frustrated, or a girl walking out of a class and typing furiously on her phone. She decides to go for the girl ransacking her locker.

"Hey"

"Can I help you?", the girl asks, looking up with her pair of pretty marble-grey eyes.

"I'm a new student", she replies and the girl frowns.

"I'll just clear this mess and give you a hand", she says and begins stuffing all her belongings into the locker. "Okay, let's go", she says when she is through.

"You forgot this", the new girl says and bends down to pick a note lying on the floor. Her brows furrow on seeing the note. "That's what you were looking for?"

"Yeah, thanks", she replies collecting the note. "Let's go now", she says and they begin walking further into the hallway.

"I am Hannah, Hannah Porter", the new girl introduces.

"Genevieve, some people call me Genny though".

"I think that will do also", Hannah declares. "So what class are you in? I'm going to be in grade eleven"

"That's my class", Genny replies and stops in front of a class. A boy was standing at the door. "Hey Ricky", she calls and he walks towards them then kisses her before turning to Hannah.

"Hi, I'm Kendrick", he says.

"Hannah"

"She's new here so I'm going to be taking her to the principal's office. Submit my assignment for me, will you?", she says and presses the note to his hand then kisses him briefly. "Love you", she tells him and drags Hannah on.

"Your boyfriend?", Hannah asks.

"Yeah"

"He's cute"

"I know, I mean thanks"

"Hey don't get it the wrong way"

"Nah... I'm no jealous girlfriend"

"Good"

They stop in front of a door after a while of walking.

"So this is it Annie", Genny announces.

"Annie?", Hannah asks and Genny shrugs. "Okay, thanks Genny"

"I guess..... I'll see you around", Genny says and walks off.

Hannah exhales. That was a good start, she thinks to herself then exhales again and enters the office.

Hannah enters the class Genny stopped at before and looks round for Genny.

"Annie!", Kendrick calls and Hannah spots him sitting with Genny. How come he was calling her Annie too, Hannah complains internally but finds her way to where Genny and Kendrick sat.

"Genny"

"You're done?"

"Yes, I'll be having....", Hannah trails off to look at a sheet of paper in her hand. "Anatomy in minutes".

"Ah, I was about to leave for that class, let's go together", Kendrick replies, standing up. "See you later, Genny",he says and heads out with Hannah.

They settle in when they get to the class where the lecture was to hold and the teacher enters minutes later. The teacher is about to start teaching when someone strolled in wearing a black hoodie and Hannah's eyes widen in amazement.

His chocolate brown hair fell across his forehead in baby-like curls and his enthralling blue eyes had a confident gleam. His lips were fresh and so.... pink, gosh he looked totally kissable. Wait Hannah why are you thinking of his lips, she reprimands herself and composes herself.

When she stops staring at him, she realizes she was not the only one. There were several other girls staring at him, some even drooling. He was so worth drooling over.

After the teacher chides him severely, he turns to the class and looks around. His eyes meet Hannah's and he heads towards her. Her heart begins beating erratically despite her efforts to control it. A guy hadn't made her feel this jittery in a while.

He seats on the chair in front of her and turns to her almost immediately.

"You're a newbie?",he asks.

"Is it obvious?"

"No, but I'm sure I know every beautiful girl in this school. No way I wouldn't know a beauty Queen like you", he drawls and she smiles.

"Fuck off Will, you're distracting the new girl", Kendrick grunts and smacks Will's head.

"I think she likes it", Will replies with a smirk.

"Is anything going on there Mr Sylvester?", the teacher enquires.

"Not at all", Will quickly answers.

He didn't turn back to chat with her again but he had already distracted her. How was he so handsome? How were the girls in this school surviving with such a hot stuff in their midst? He was like a chocolate cake, it was just so tempting to gobble him up.

"And that is the end of our class for today. Now I shall proceed to some questions", the teacher announces just as the bell rings. Everyone starts walking out leaving the teacher who was trying to make an announcement.

Will stands up and turns to Hannah immediately the teacher leaves.

"I'm William"

"Yeah I guessed. I'm Hannah, plain Hannah though Genny has taken a liking to calling me Annie".

"I like Annie, I'll call you that too if you don't mind. So you are with Rick and Genny.... I'll be seeing you often then".

"Maybe", she replies.

"Wanna have lunch with me later?"

"I don't...."

"I'll come get you"

"No, she won't", Kendrick cuts in.

"He's right", Hannah supports.

"Rick!", Will queries. "Who does this to their best friend?"

"Me", Rick replies. "Annie and I will get going now", he concludes and drags Hannah out. "Will is a player, I don't think you should involve yourself with him"

"He gave me the vibes already, But he's got the look for it, I won't blame him".

"There's nothing that can explain being a fucker"

"I haven't said that it is nice".

"Just stay away from him, he's pretty convincing".

"You guys are best friends?"

"Since childhood. I don't like the whole player stuff though", Rick says and she chuckles.

"So what extracurricular do you take?"

"Football"

"Obviously. And he probably is on the team too".

"Yeah, he's quarterback. The appointment is still quite new though".

"Well he has the body for it, of course he will be good".

"Looks like you took a rather generous look at him".

"I couldn't help it, he's hot", she admits with a slight embarrassed blush.

"That's what they say before he breaks their heart"

"Look I'm just ogling him. I'm not into him"

"Yet"

"I appreciate this, a lot, but I believe I am very acquainted with identifying and snubbing players".

"Ever date before?"

"Once, stupid thing"

"Looks like it didn't end well"

"Not at all. What about you and Genny? How long have you guys been?"

"Since the beginning of sophomore year. I crushed on her the entire freshman year though, she was tough".

"She looks like it", she comments and he smiles.

"Genny", he calls softly as they approach Genny and she turns with a smile.

"How was the class Annie?"

"She met Will"

"He's nice", Hannah adds.

"Until he gets what he wants", Genny comments.

"There will always be playboys, nothing like a bad boy to add spice to life", Hannah proclaims and Kendrick groans exasperatedly. "That doesn't mean I'll let him get to me though, so don't worry about me"

"You're hopeless", Kendrick concludes and she laughs.

"Nah..... I'm just a girl who wants to flirt a bit", Hannah counters.

"I give up", Kendrick concedes.

Will walks to his locker after the class and meets his other friends: Kenneth, Dave, Robert and Harrison waiting for him by his locker. Will and the four of them were popularly called 'Le cinq' meaning the five. They were one of the most popular male students and major players in the school.

"Look who is approaching; it's Will, king of the jungle. All the girls are at his feet", Kenneth hails.

"Stop messing with me Ken", Will replies. "I just met the hottest girl ever".

"It's been a while since you said such, who's she?", Harrison asks.

"A newbie in my anatomy class"

"Wait you were amongst those in the anatomy class today?", Dave exclaims. "I heard a hot newbie attended class with you guys today. Tell us about her"

"She's pitching tent with Rick and Genny"

"Wouldn't that ruin it for you?", Robert asks.

"Oh please Bob, is there any girl I can't get if I want her?", Will boasts and they cheer.

"So tell us more about her", Dave prompts.

She was truly hot enough to get into the rumours already. She had a beautiful face and body, and the best smile ever. She was only putting on a pink sweater on a black gypsy skirt which stopped just before her knee leaving her beautiful legs and a little of her laps in seductive display. The most endearing part of it all was how comfortable she seemed, not being all jumpy like other newbies.

He was so going to enjoy wooing her, he thinks to himself with a smirk.

"Stop standing there smiling like an idiot and say something", Robert urges.

"I know you want me to describe how she looks, but, I'm going to keep it to myself", Will announces and they groan.

"Not like we will not see her soon, she's not meant for your eyes only", Kenneth retorts.

"But before then, you would be almost crazy with curiosity", Will jeers.

"Come on Will, what does she look like?", Dave pleads.

"I am not going to answer anyone"

"Arghh... You are so annoying", Kenneth complains.

The following day, Annie and Genny come to school together as they found out that they lived in the same neighborhood and agreed to walk together everyday. When they enter the school, Will and his friends are talking loudly in the hallway as Will was yet to tell them what she looked like and they were getting restless.

"Will come on, don't be a dick", Harrison says.

"Call me anything you want. I'm not going to say anything", he replies and they start talking at the same time in protest.

"Whoa, who is that goddess over there?", Robert exclaims with a whistle. They follow his eyes and see Annie walking in with Genny.

"Wait, that must be the hottie from yesterday's anatomy class. I'm so going to talk to her right now", Dave declares and Will smacks his head.

"She's mine, piss off", Will announces and the guys grumble.

"Why do you always get the pretty ones?", Kenneth complains but Will walks away from them to meet Annie.

"Annie"

She turns with a smile as she already knew his voice. Who wouldn't know that sexy voice from hearing it once?

"Hey Will", she replies

"Hey Will", Genny greets.

"Oh Genny", Will says.

"So you are just seeing me huh? I suddenly got invisible?", Genny queries him.

"Well you might seem invisible if you're walking with this beauty Queen, she's so eye-catching", he replies making Annie blush.

"Get out of here, you're messing with her head"

"I'm not!"

"Will, get lost".

"Fine, fine, I will, but Annie, the lunch offer still stands", he invites and goes away.

"Annie are you......"

"I told you guys I can handle players, don't worry about me. I'm going to flirt back with him but with no attachments".

"Fine, but don't say we didn't warn you".

It is lunchtime at the Brooklyn high school cafeteria and everywhere is rowdy and noisy. Genny and Annie enter and go to get their trays before heading towards a free table at the end of the cafeteria. They are heading there when they pass Will's table with the other Le cinq guys.

"Yo hottie, come join us over here", Dave calls out to Annie and Will glares at him.

"Ignore him. But really, you should join us".

"No thanks, we'll be fine on our own", Annie answers and they continue on.

"Wow look at those legs, and the ass, shit she's so perfect for bedding", Robert comments and receives a glare.

"Bob, You have one more trial till you will get hit by me", Will threatens with seriousness and the guys calm down. Crossing Will was never a wise step to take.

"Fine, sorry", Robert apologizes.

"Good. Now get it straight all of you, she's mine. When I'm done with her, you can try your luck but till then, I don't want any of you close to her".

Later in the day, Will goes for a class leaving his friends alone and Dave spies inside the class Will entered then turns to the guys.

"The hottie's not in the class", he announces.

"What are you thinking? You know how Will can get, better diss that idea", Kenneth warns.

"Come on, it's just for the period of the class. Don't be a sissy", Robert taunts.

"I'm not doing that shit with you guys"

"Fine suit yourself", Dave says and they walk off. Annie is coming out of a class when they see her.

"Annie", Robert calls. "Got a class?"

"No"

"Argh, why are you so pretty?"

"I don't know, it just happened".

"Aish, you must be a witch. You have stolen the beauty of other girls", Dave drawls and she laughs. They begin chatting and are consequently oblivious of when the bell rings. Will comes out of his class and finds Kenneth and Harrison by his locker.

"Where are they?"

"Somewhere", Kenneth answers and Will walks pass him to open his locker. He is keeping his books when he hears an overly familiar laughter, It was Annie. He turns and sees her with Robert and Dave. Rage courses through him and he tosses his remaining books into his locker. He shuts it loudly and walks towards them. He puts his hands round Robert and Dave's necks.

"Hey Will, is your class over?", Annie greets heartily.

"Yes, it's gym class now"

"Oh, then I should go find Genny"

"Yes you should".

"Bye Bob and Dave, it was nice meeting you both", she says and walks away. Robert and Dave who had been quiet since Will's arrival turn with forlorn looks.

"Look Will, we're sorry"

"Sorry won't do, I warned you all. Get ready, we shall see during gym", Will says and walks away angrily.

Gym in Brooklyn high school was basically just the teachers leaving a bunch of teenagers to have fun together. They did pushups somedays or a little sport but the teacher couldn't watch everyone, could he?

Robert and Dave were particularly unlucky as the teacher claimed he had to head out and left them roaming on their own. Immediately he walks out, Will walks towards Robert and Dave.

"Five seconds to choose your weapon before I start".

"Will let's talk about this", Dave pleads.

"It's action time nigga, no more talking. Five seconds is out", he says and smiles. He immediately swings at Dave and a fight began.

It ended with Will singlehandedly beating up Robert and Dave. No one cared to interfere even Rick because, knowing Will, they knew it would go wrong. He walks out of the class and Robert and Dave are left to struggle on their own. Kenneth and Harrison go and help them.

"I warned you, didn't I?", Kenneth says.

Genny and Annie are walking home after school and Annie is deep in thought.

"Annie?"

"Yes"

"What's wrong?"

"Huh?", She mutters now perked up.

"What's wrong with you? You've been quiet since we left the gym".

"Oh... well... I think I may have been the cause of the fight between Will and his friends".

"Oh don't bother yourself with that. It's something they do all the time to assert supremacy".

"No, this is not that".

"Why do you think so?"

"When you and Will went to class before gym, Bob and Dave came to talk to me. We had fun together, I mean they were pretty cool but Will caught us when he finished class".

"Caught?"

"That's what it seemed like when he came. They suddenly wore a guilty look and went really pale like they were not supposed to talk to me".

"Rick said they have a policy that once one of them is talking to a girl and she shows interest, the others have to give way. But that's not something he would fight over. Even when the guys had a big fight over Bianca, he didn't fight".

"Why did they fight over her?"

"She's really pretty. They all wanted to have her except Will so they fought and Bob won but Will decided he wanted her too. They then had a bet on would bed her first, Will won".

"Of course, he would", Annie comments grumpily. "So why does he do this whole player thing? A heartbreak perhaps?"

"He just thinks it's fun, Will has never really cared for any girl romantically, even Bianca".

"Okay time out, Who's this Bianca girl?"

"Oh... you have not met her yet, she has not been in school this week. She's Will's girlfriend, sorta".

"Sorta?"

"He never asked her out, she just assumed the position and he didn't say a word".

"But he treats her like a girlfriend?"

"Not at all, he even yells at her, especially when she tries to sit at their table".

"The same table he is inviting me to?"

"Yeah. It's really weird that he's inviting you, they don't let girls sit on their table"

"Why?"

"I don't know".

"Tell me more about Bianca"

"She's assistant head-cheerleader. She is kinda nice really but she's got a bad mouth, easily irritated and she can be mean, especially to those girls that Will sees".

"So she knows he's seeing other girls and still stays? He must be doing something".

"He just sees her when he wants her on his bed. He took her shopping once when Winni, his sister met her in his place which was last summer, but I don't really know. She's in love with him, I guess", Genny says and shrugs.

"She's so stupid".

"No, she's not. Aren't you looking at him even though you know he's a player?"

"This is different. She is practically forcing herself on him!"

"She doesn't mind"

"Will must not be as nice as I thought he was"

"Actually he is nicer than any girl in this school thinks he is".

"I doubt".

"You just don't know him yet, but hey, he's still not boyfriend material. He is content in being a player and hopelessly single".

"Tell me more about Will then".

"No way I'm doing that. I don't want you falling in love with him, very wrong step".

"Argh... not like there's anything you can say to convince me that he's not a disrespecter of females".

"They are the ones disrespecting themselves by letting him have his way with them. He barely talks to them for a day before he beds them".

"Whatever.... I would like to meet the Bianca girl though, to understand why she would do such and besides I want to join the cheerleading squad".

"Why?"

"To be popular perhaps? Or to make many friends? I don't even know, it's already part of me. I was head-cheerleader in my old school".

"Ah... the born and bred cheerleaders"

"Yes, you get it"

They continue conversing till they reach her house.

Annie walks to her locker sullenly after a class. Genny and Rick had class the next period so she was alone. She really needed to make more friends. She is slowly stuffing her books into her locker when she feels a breath on her skin. She tenses knowing who it was already, Will.

"What are you doing here?", she manages to say, sounding as if she was unaffected by his proximity but, it was all a facade. Her heart was pounding in her chest and her hesitance in replying was the most she could do to conceal how weak-kneed he made her feel.

"Well I don't have a class so....", he replies softly, speaking directly into her ear. She swallows and fidgets with her bracelet.

"Can you get off me?", she asks, sounding irritated irregardless of the fact that all she wanted to do at the moment was melt into his arms.

"Is it disturbing to you?"

"No, but hey, I'm a new student. You're creating a bad impression of me".

"I like the way you think".

She tries pushing him back but ends up falling into his arms.

"Whoa, careful there", he cooes and she immediately jumps out of his arms.

"What do you want?"

"You've been declining my lunch offer"

"Yes"

"Why?"

"I don't want to".

"Well it's lunchtime after this period so I may have gotten you already", he says and she hisses, rolling her eyes. "Hmm...I like it when you do that, sexy".

"You have two minutes to get out of my sight"

"What if I don't want to?"

"I could leave you here"

"Except that you'll be leaving your locker open", he replies and she curses in her mind.

She was unaffected by guys usually, why was it different with this Will guy? Now she had left her locker open and was chatting with him,why couldn't he just disappear after her threats? Some guys did that. She goes back to her locker and continues keeping her books under his watchful eyes. She was so flustered at his gazing and was quite slow in keeping her books expecting him to leave.

He doesn't though so when she is through, she starts to walk away but he follows.

"Will, I remember telling you to get lost".

"I don't want to, beauty Queen".

"Don't you even dare name me, I'm not your girl".

"You can be".

"And anger your girlfriend?"

"I don't have one".

"Then what is Bianca?"

"That's one crazy girl, I don't know why she sticks around but there's nothing I can do to make her leave. I'm so mean with her because I want her to leave but she is stubborn".

"Whatever, I don't care".

"You are stubborn too".

"I am not.You are the stubborn one, sticking around when you can see that I don't want you around".

"No, I just know what I want and work hard till I get it", he boasts and she hisses.

"Can you just get away from me?"

"Nope"

"Will!"

"No, you'll be bored. You forget that you're a new student".

"I guess I'll make that my problem",a new voice says and they turn to see a girl.

"Hey Carrie", Will greets.

"She's not interested, Will. Give her a break".

"Aww.... come on, don't be like that"

"Come on newbie, let's go", Carrie says and drags Annie away.
