The CEO Contract Marriage

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing and I'm quite sure that it's Rissa. She really knows how to annoy the hell out of me. With my eyes still shut I reach out to the bedside table and grab my phone.

"Ava, are you still in bed? It's already 10 in the morning, aren't you supposed to be getting ready to drop off your applications at various companies?"

"Shit, I totally forgot! Thanks, Rissa, I'm hanging up now"

"No! Wait Ava I have something to tell you"

"What is it"

" Carter Ltd is taking applications for a new secretary."

" Really wow I highly doubt, I will get in but why not try"

I got off my phone and headed to the washroom to take a shower. I got out of the shower, dressed up in professional wear, and went to have breakfast.

"Morning Hunny you're finally awake, your breakfast is on the kitchen counter"

"Thanks, Mom" I ate my breakfast and left the house, took a taxi, and went straight to Carter Ltd

I got off the taxi and walked towards the door when I felt my whole body immobilized and my head bumped into a hard chest. I backed away and said with anger

" Hey, don't you watch where you're going?"

I lifted my head just to see a devilicious god standing in front of me. Gosh! those blue eyes mesmerized me in an instant but the moment, he opened his enticing mouth I was promptly awakened from the shock.

He said, "Maybe you should make yourself more visible next time."

"Bastard! Are you trying to say that I'm not worth your time, Pig, Ho I'm leaving, I shouldn't waste my time on a vermin like you"

I held my folder and brought it inside the company, still mad at that man before. Not because he is handsome means he has the right.

I'm in my office, on a conference call when my assistant comes into my office reminding me of my next meeting which starts in 20 minutes. These old geezers keep yapping about useless things so I hang up and rush out of my office. At the entrance of the building, someone bumps into me. She feels as soft as cotton candy. Looking up I caught sight of those beautiful large black orbs, filled with anger which almost appeared like it contained an orange flame. Holy Shit! With one sight of her, my heart began to palpitate.

Those black eyes and luscious pink lips, Gosh! That goddess with a guitar-shaped body. But with such a nasty demeanor, How dare she call me a bastard, pig, and even a vermin to my face! Who the fuck does she think she is! If I didn't have a meeting to attend I'd strangle her right now. The aura around me immediately turned ten times colder as I snorted, and rushed to the awaiting car. She better pray we never bump into each other again.

Entering the company, for the first time and if the exterior of this building wasn't luxurious enough, you should see the interior. Rushing to the front desk, an attractive freckle-faced young clerk looked toward me.

" How may I help you"

"Yes, I heard that the CEO needs a new secretary, so I'd like to drop my application".

"Place it over there, I'll send it to his office soon."

"Thank you very much"

I turned around and left. Exiting the building, I heard my mobile phone ringing. Looking at the caller ID I realize it's Rissa. Connecting the call I heard Rissa inviting me to a cafe. I replied. " send me the address."I hopped into a taxi and gave the driver the address. Arriving at the cafe, I spotted Rissa with a good-looking guy but I must say not as good-looking as that vermin.

Rissa stood up and invited me to have a seat opposite her and that hunk. We ordered coffee and Rissa introduced me to the fling of the day. I rolled my eyes at her for changing boyfriends as much as she changed clothes. We stayed for about an hour before we went our separate ways.

I continued my journey distributing my application to various companies before I headed home.

I'm in the middle of the meeting and I can't seem to get my mind off that woman. I couldn't seem to focus at all so I decided to postpone the meeting and I called my best friend Nathan out for a drink at Royals Bar. I get into the driver's seat and drive to the location. Here I am walking into the bar and all those carnivores have their eyes on me. Yes, I said it, carnivores these hungry-looking women that can't wait for an opportunity to try to get a bite of my cash. Snort, Disgusting I entered the V.I.P. section sat near the bar, and ordered a couple of shots of Stroh 80. On my third shot, Nathan walks into the V.I.P. section and I must say if this guy hasn't gotten an STD then he will never get one again.

This so-called best friend of mine sleeps with countless women every day. Nathan takes a seat next to me and starts to chatter about some women who are nearby. Anyway, I'm too caught up with the incessant thinking about that woman. I still can't figure out why I can't seem to forget about her.

"Bro, are you even listening to me? What's wrong, I have never seen you so preoccupied before"

"Sigh, I bumped into a big-mouth beauty at the entrance of my company earlier on and I can't seem to get her off of my mind"

"Bro if I didn't know better I'd think you have feelings for that woman. But ever since we've known each other you have never had any interest in women. I even thought you would die as a lonely virgin. There was even that rumor going around that you are impotent or homosexual"

"What did you say?! What rumor?! Fuck off!"

There was suddenly, a suffocating aura around Mason, Nathan felt a chill down his spine. He quickly engaged in a conversation with the bartender.

Mason suppressed his feelings and engaged in a meaningful conversation about business with Nathan.

They chatted for a while before Mason felt fatigued and decided to head home. He took 3 steps forward and suddenly stopped, turned around and said

"Oh shit, before I forget, My company anniversary is coming up and I'm planning a bonfire in 6 months so I will send u an invitation"

"Oh ok I will be there"

Mason left after those final words to Nathan.

Mason's P.O.V

Mason woke up at 6 a.m and got ready for another busy day at work. On his way to work, He called Assistant Lee to order breakfast for him. Mason entered his office at 7:30 and started to go through the applications for a new secretary post. There was a sudden knock on the door and a magnetic voice replying "come in." Assistant Lee walked into the office with a cup of coffee and donuts.

"Ceo Cold here is the breakfast you asked for"

"You may leave"

Mason spreads the documents on the table and took his cup of coffee to have a sip when a picture of a woman entered his peripheral vision. He turned his head in shock and picked up her application. With an evil smirk on his face, he said " So this woman has the audacity to apply to be my secretary after all her verbal abuse, I can't wait to see the look on her face haha"

Mason immediately called his assistant and handed the file to him."Call this woman in I will personally interview her."

Assistant Lee's P.O.V

I've been working for Ceo Cold for the past 5 years and I must say yesterday was the first time I have ever heard someone talk to Boss Cold this way. That woman actually called our boss a vermin, Is she seeking death? I expected that lady to perish that very instant but to my surprise, the boss just left. I thought that would be the last of her, but when CEO cold gave me the file I never expected to see her image in it. This lady seriously had the courage to disrespect boss Cold and still apply for this job. She is suicidal, she just gave boss the perfect opportunity to slowly torture her to death. So I gave her a call and informed her of the interview tomorrow at noon. She sounded excited, but I'm still confused, why is she rejoicing when she just got her death call. Well anyway, there is no turning back for her, I hang up the phone and went back to Ceo Cold office to inform him that she will be here tomorrow at noon and went back to my desk.

Ava's P.O.V

I'm in the middle the best dream ever when my phone starts to ring, as usual, I stretch my hand towards the bedside table and grab my phone. When I connected the call I heard a male voice asking whether I was Miss Ava.

I replied with a questioning tone "indeed this is Ava but may I ask who are you"

" I am Assistant Lee and I work for Carter Ltd I called to inform you that you are required to be at Carter Ltd at noon tomorrow for an interview"

" Really, wow thanks a lot assistant Lee"

After he hanged up I immediately called Rissa and told her the good news.

Rissa's P.O.V

I'm in the middle of sketching a new design when my phone rings. I connected the call and was immediately greeted with good news. Ava has an interview with Carter Ltd tomorrow at noon. I'm very happy for her and I hope she gets the job. After all, Carter Ltd is an excellent company and has many benefits for employees. She invited me to dinner tomorrow night, so I accepted and hang up. In six months' time there will be a fashion competition and many designers will participate including me. This will give me more publicity as a young designer and boost my dads sales if I'm successful.

Mason's P.O.V

Its been a tiring day at work with meetings round the clock. I'm finally heading home when Nathan rings my phone asking to meet up at Royals Bar. I make a U-turn and drive to the location. On arrival, I spotted Nathan just entering the bar. We walked in together and as usual, all eyes are on us. We pretended to be clueless and took our seat on a table near the bar. I ordered some shots of strong liquor. Whilst Nathan sat there searching for his next prey.

Nathan's P.O.V

I caught sight of a silhouette seating near a table in the corner of the bar sipping on red wine. The image of this silhouette looked so alluring that it acted as a magnet, luring me towards her. Each step I took left me anxious causing my heart to beat like an African drum. When I was just a couple of steps away this mysterious woman turned facing me. I was instantly, Mesmerized by her rosy lips which looked exquisitely tantalizing with the stain of red wine. Just then I heard her ask

"Hi, Mr is there something on my face?"

"Oh No, I'm sorry for staring, I just saw you seating here alone so I decided to come keep you company"

"Well, I just came here to relax so no need"

"Well can I introduce myself?"

"okay"

"Well, I'm Nathan Xavier nice to meet you can I get your name"

"Maybe when we meet again I will let you know"

And that mysterious woman got up and left......

Mason P.O.V

I turned around to talk to Nathan when I realized He had disappeared. I scanned the bar area and saw him seating near the bar in the far corner staring at a woman who was leaving in a provocative way. I walked towards him and said

"Are you ever going to settle with one or are you really going to leave your entire life being a man hore"

Nathan stared at me blankly so I waved and left.

Ava's P.O.V

I woke up early, meditated for a while, showered, and put on my office attire. I went down for breakfast, Left the house, and took a taxi straight to Carter Ltd. I arrived at Carter Ltd half an hour early, headed in and the clerk immediately directed me to a restroom to wait for my interview.

Mason's P.O.V

I woke up late this morning thanks to that damn girl who might have hexed me. How can a woman occupy so much of my thoughts? I took a shower, dressed, and headed downstairs. Thanks to breakfast being prepacked I took it and rush out the door.I'm driving as fast as I can and the funny thing is there is heavy traffic today out of all days. An hour later I finally arrive at the company. When I walked through the company's entrance the clerk greeted me and then told me that Miss Miller is in the rest room waiting to be interviewed. I smirked and headed to the rest room. Opening the door our eyes met.

Ava's P.O.V

It's been about an hour, I've been waiting. When I was about to go search for the clerk the door instantly opened and my eyes fell straight in his. You seriously wouldn't believe who it was, how can we meet up again is there such a coincidence? I was so shocked that all I could have utter was

"You! What are you doing here? Does Carter Ltd hire vermins like you?"

"Who are you calling vermin! Do you know who I am"

"I don't want to know unimportant people"

Mason's P.O.V

That Damn woman actually has the guts to call me a vermin again!

She is gonna pay for that little tongue of hers and smart remarks with her LIFE!!

I turned glacier cold and walked away without giving her a second look. I went straight to my office and called assistant Lee

"Go interview Miss Miller and hire her, ensure to tell her that she is supposed to be at work tomorrow at usual office time"

"Yes CEO Cold"

Ava's P.O.V

That vermin left abruptly without a word.

HA! I won again!

After a couple of minutes, a man in a black suit came to me and led me to his office. He started the interview and 5 minutes later I got hired,

I was completely speechless this is the first time I've ever been hired so quickly! I was still in disbelief when he said

"Miss Miller don't take me wrong your resume is very impressive"

I said "thank you" and was about to leave when he said

"Miss Miller you are supposed to be at work tomorrow morning at "

I nodded and left.

Is it me or did I get the job to quickly, its like they were waiting to hire me.....weird maybe I'm just over thinking things I should be happy I got this job I'm just the lucky. I wonder if that pig actually works there, his so disrespectful why would they hire someone like that?

Anyway, I shook off my thoughts and returned back to reality.

Ava's P.O.V

The loud and unbearable sound of my alarm clock going off was like a bucket of freezing cold water being poured onto me. I dragged myself out of bed and made preparations to set off on my first day of work.

Arriving at the company I saw Assistant Lee was about to enter the building, I said

"Good morning assistant Lee"

"Good morning Miss Miller I see you are on time, Follow me I will show you around and introduce you to your colleagues. CEO Cold will be here in a while"

I nodded and followed Assistant Lee in

Mason's P.O.V

On arriving at my company I saw many employees just coming in, as I walked passed them they all greeted me,

"Good morning CEO Cold"

For some weird reason, my heartfelt warm as I nodded at them and took the elevator to the sixtieth floor.

As I got off the elevator and walked to my office a beautiful young lady greeted me. I walked past her and entered my office. As I sat down and opened my laptop there was a knock on my office door.

I responded " come in"

The door was instantly pushed open and assistant Lee walked in and said

"CEO Cold your new assistant is here"

"Send her in, if there is nothing else you may leave"

Assistant Lee nodded and left

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door

I gave the office door my back and said "come in"

The door was slowly pushed open and a sweet melodious voice could be heard saying "Good Morning CEO Carter"

As I slowly turned my chair around, I said "Hello, Miss Miller"

Our eyes met and she gazed deeply into my eyes, with confusion written all over her face"

"Is there a problem Miss Miller?" I asked with an evil smirk hanging at the end of my lips

"You! Y-Y-YOU ARE C-C-CEO CARTER!"

" Don't stutter Miss Miller, indeed I'm the vermin hog you met earlier on"

Ava P.O.V

Assistant Lee took me to the various departments, showed me around, and introduced me to some of the employees. He then took me to his office where I signed my contract and was informed that I would be the CEO's personal assistant since he was promoted to the Executive Assistants Post.

He took the contract and then excused himself, a couple of minutes later he returned and told me that the CEO wanted to see me.

"Thank you, assistant Lee" I closed his door and walked to the CEO's office.

As I knocked on the door I heard a deep magnetic voice say come in.

I pushed open the door slowly and greeted him "Good Morning Ceo Carter"

The mysterious man who was facing the window sluggishly turned his chair around as he greeted me, our eyes met.

I looked into a pair of icy cold eyes that held no emotion. I was instantly stupefied.

I stood there rooted to the ground staring at him when he said " Miss Miller is there a problem?" with a malicious grin on his face.

"You! Y-Y-YOU ARE C-C-CEO CARTER!" I stuttered unable to believe my eyes

" Don't stutter Miss Miller, indeed I'm the vermin hog you met earlier on"

I felt a chill ran down my spine and my legs went limp, I quickly composed myself and replied " You were that man who collided into me that day, you were in the wrong and didn't even apologize"

"You didn't give me the chance too, you only opened your disgusting mouth and called me a vermin and a hog, how disrespectful I guess I need to teach you some manners and a lesson you will never forget"

" You! I quit and I won't let you use your position to control me!"

"Control you! Are you insane who do you think you are, some precious stone? Miss Miller, you are a mere bug that I can step on at any time!"

He then lifted his phone and told someone to come show me to my office, without sparing me a second look he went on reading a document.

The door was soon knocked upon and Assistant Lee opened the door and showed me to my working space.

Mason P.O.V

When that woman finally left my office. I stood up from my chair and turned to stare at the view through my window. Why am I so angry? Does she really have so much control over my emotions? I stared out the window and suppressed my anger. This woman, I must really be cautious around her.
