The CEO And Me

Sara's P.O.V

"SARA!" Lucy shouted on me like she always does. i keep a pillow on my ear so that i could avoid her scream. but she called me again. it was her daily doing. expecting that i will do housework. but I didn't move and wanted to sleep a little more, yesterday was as tiring as hell. I lay in my bed when suddenly I heard a knock at my door.

"Sara....if you don't get up you're going to be late for work." Ryan whispered, he was trying his best not to shout, but still wanted me to realize what time it is. I opened one of my eyes as soon as I heard him say the word work, I had totally forgotten that today was Monday and I needed to go into the office. I looked over at my clock and when I saw the time, both my eyes shot open in shock. I am so dead today.

"Yes, I'm awake," I yelled back, throwing the pillow in irritation causing Ryan to cover his mouth to hide the fact that he was laughing. Ryan left, while I yawned and got up from my beauty sleep, I still find it hard to wake up early in the morning. My eyes went to my ring finger and then looked towards the calendar hanging on my bedroom wall and it hit me....

It's been two months...

I sat for a while thinking, staring at my finger and then tried shrugging it off. I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom, took a quick shower, dried myself off and then went back into my bedroom. I stood in front of my wardrobe and cupboard and tried to decide what to wear, but I am not that choosy and pulled out a white one piece. I put it on and it came to my knees, which was not too short for me and it was comfortable. I started combing out my hair and styling it, when I looked at the clock and let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank God, I still have time for breakfast," I said out loud to myself. Last night I was stuck in the office until late doing overtime and because of which I didn't eat anything, but with how my stomach was growling it sounded like I could eat a horse. I put my high heels on, grabbed my purse and walked downstairs to the dining room. I went inside and dad was nowhere to be seen, he had left early as usual. I don't even remember the last time I saw his face, it was probably on his wedding day.

"Sara, you woke up," Ryan said, running and hugging my legs. I kneeled down and pulled him into a hug, he is four years old and my little step brother.

"Yes, I woke up. Thanks to you." I whispered, he happily nodded his head and I kissed his cheek.

"Are you going to the office today?" Ryan asked, looking at my dress and shoes.

"Yes I am and don't worry I haven't forgotten that I need to buy chocolate for you," I replied and he gave me his biggest smile. Every time I come home from work he expects me to bring back chocolate for him.

"But you will have breakfast, right?" Ryan asked and I looked at the dining table that was full of food. Everything looked so delicious, my stomach hurt from not eating yesterday and when I looked at the clock I noticed that I had plenty of time for breakfast.

"Yes, of course, I w...." I started to say.

"I don't think she has time for breakfast," Lucy said, interrupting me. She was my step mother and Ryan's mother and she hated me. She walked over to the dining table and started to put food on Ryan's plate.

"But, why mom?" Ryan asked, running towards his mom.

"Because she is not hungry, Ryan. If you don't believe me then ask her." Lucy replied, smiling at Ryan and then looking at me, glaring angrily at me. I knew she didn't want me to touch the food let alone eat it, so I quickly moved my hand away from my stomach and smiled at Ryan, he was looking right at me and his eyes were asking me if his mother was telling the truth or not.

"Yes Ryan, I'm not hungry. Don't worry, you eat, and I'm going to go to the office, or I'm going to be late." I replied, lying through my teeth. I was starving, but Lucy gave me a satisfied look and I turned on my heel, heading towards the front door to leave. I just reached the front door, when Lucy came out and stopped me.

"I hope you haven't forgotten that you need to leave the house soon, Sara," Lucy said, reminding me. My shoulders tensed up at the sound of her voice and I opened the door, leaving without giving her the satisfaction of looking back. I have had enough of that woman and decided that while I was walking to work.

I would look for an apartment on Google, I had to get out of that house as soon as possible. Lucy was my dad's new wife, even though she was only ten years older than me and had only been married to my dad for two months, she wanted me out and straight away.

The house originally belonged to my dad and me, but when he married he gave her the house, without even telling me. My dad must have a thing about marriage because Lucy is his fourth wife, I know my dad gets lonely, but he can't live without a woman and because of this, my life has drastically changed and not for the better. Lucy doesn't want me in the house and has tried everything she can think of to get me to leave, her latest scheme is not letting me eat anything while I am there.

I thought my dad would have stuck up for me and put a stop to it, but instead, he agreed with Lucy and told me that it would be best for us to live separately. The day he said those words to me was the day he broke my heart, I thought that we would always be able to share everything, but it was just a dream. I decided there and then that I was going to find an apartment and move out of there straight away, hopefully getting one closer to the office, but the only one I would miss would be Ryan.

Sara's POV

I had arrived at work and got in the elevator to take me to my department. I have worked in this office for the past two years and I loved working here, but above all else, it was my way of escaping the reality of my home life. I entered my department, everyone was busy with their work, and I was about to sit at my desk when Lisa came running up to me and hugged me. She hugged me just as tightly as the first time she had and does this daily now. I hugged her back and after a long hug, she released me, letting me breathe a little.

"Good morning, beautiful," Lisa said, making me laugh. She was my friend, but she was also a little crazy.

"Good morning," I replied, smiling. I looked around the office and noticed that everyone was busier than usual.

"What's going on? Is something wrong? Everyone seems to be working like a donkey today." I asked, looking at everything that was going on around me.

"Today our company got the big business deal and got a with a new business partner and because of this everyone is busy, well that and the fact that the boss warned everyone not to make any mistakes, or we were all dead," Lisa said, shrugging her shoulders and I nodded my head.

"But who is this new partner?" I asked, looking back at her. It was the first I had heard about any of this.

"His name is Daniel Lautner," Lisa replied, going back to her desk. The name sounded so familiar, but I couldn't place where I had heard it before. I was trying to think deeply. His name was so different and his surname too. But I pulled myself out of my thoughts. I got to work, like everyone else, there was so much for me to do. i was trying to forget about him but that unknown stranger was not leaving my head. He was bothering me too much. That the next thing I knew it was lunchtime. I gritted my teeth in anger to see that I have not completed my work, and it is lunchtime.

"Hey girl, let's go and eat," Lisa said, leaning on my desk, I nodded and smiled at the thought of food. I thought I was going to die, I was so hungry, I got up from my seat and grabbed my purse. We had only walked two or three steps before Mia came running towards us.

" Sara... Lisa.... Fuck my life, Sara!!!" Mia exclaimed, almost screaming and her face was flushed.

"What? What happened?" I asked her, thinking someone had died, judging by her reaction.

"Just now.... I saw a very fucking handsome man in our office! And do not know why I think he is the one who everyone calls one night stand king," Mia screamed, I thought something big had happened, I was going to call the police or an ambulance. I gritted my teeth in anger and looked at Lisa who was doing the same.

"I will kill you someday Mia. I was worried about a second," I replied, she is always like this and her eyes are always on some handsome guys or cute boys. In short, she is a lady pervert, but she is sweet. I went to walk away and go eat, but she grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"No, Sara, he is fucking hot as hell. After looking at him, I realized the meaning of the Greek god, and you will see what I mean. He is fucking hot, his face is enough to make a girl's panties soaking wet." Mia said, and I gave her a boring look to hear the word Greek god. I looked him up and down, totally checking him out for a few seconds, but I couldn't see his face, his back was turned to me.

"Did you see?" Mia asked, excitedly, but I just shook my head.

"No I didn't see his face, but I don't care how handsome he is. He is here for work and nothing more." I replied, but Mia made an angry face at me.

"You're really boring, you know that," Mia said and started to walk away from us.

"How?" I asked, smiling and making her stop.

"If you continue like this you're going to end up single and alone," Mia replied, the smile on my face instantly disappearing. Lisa stopped walking, and I could see the anger on her face, while she gritted her teeth at Mia.

"I am.... I'm sorry Sara, I didn't mean to say that to you, it was just a joke." Mia said, giving me an apologetic look after seeing mine and Lisa's reaction.

"It's okay, we're friends and I know you don't mean it," I replied, smiling, but my heart was full of sadness, I just wanted to stay alone for some time. I started walking ahead, thinking about food while Mia and Lisa walked behind me when suddenly our boss stopped us.

"You girls, come here." The boss said, surrounded by men, probably new partners, but we obliged and walked over to him. I looked around, but the man who had his back to me wasn't here, I knew because of the colour of his suit, it was different to the others, and he was a lot taller than the other's.

Our boss introduced us to everyone, and we shook hands, but I just wanted it to end. I was so hungry that I felt like I was dying, and I just wanted to be alone. It finally ended and Mia and Lisa left, I was about to leave and catch up to them when my boss yet again stopped me. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to eat.

"Did you meet Mr. Daniel Lautner?" My boss asked, raising his brow at me and I remembered that there was one man missing, but I took another look around, and he was not here.

"No sir, I did not meet him, maybe he is not here." I replied, but the boss looked angrily at me. What did I do? It's not my fault if he's not here.

"Sara, your name has already been ruined in this office and now it's the first day of the CEO's arrival, if you mess him around then you are going to be in big trouble. You are under me and I do not want you making me look bad." The boss said to me through gritted teeth and I just nodded my head. I did not want the new CEO to hate me, I already had enough people here hating me, I didn't want to add to it.

"Go and meet him now!" The boss said, slightly raising his voice and I quickly nodded my head, but before I could ask him where the CEO was he had walked off and left me there. I looked around and saw that I was alone, there was nobody else here, not even Mia and Lisa.

"Excuse me, can you tell me where i can find the new CEO please?" I asked, spotting another employee.

"I think he went to that side, but I am not one hundred percent sure, you should just go and check." He replied, pointing in the direction he thought it was.

"Thanks." I said, walking away from him and going to where he was pointing. I walked where he had said, but it only led me to a door which was a store room.

"What the hell would he be doing in a store room?" I asked myself and looked around. There was no one else here and so I decided it was best not to go in. I was just about to turn around to walk away when I noticed that the door was half open, I stopped and looked at it, but I could not understand what was going on.

Should I go in there and check it out? If I did not meet the new CEO he's going to think I am rude and I don't want to take that risk, especially after the boss warned me that I didn't want to make any more enemies. I reached up and pushed the door open further, stepping inside, but it was pitch black in here. I wanted to just leave, but I needed to find out if the CEO was in here, so I couldn't.

"Ummm....CEO sir....." I called out, stepping further into the room. My voice echoed through the room and it was quite scary in here, I could not even find the light switch to make it better.

"Sir, are you here?" I asked, gripping my hands tightly because I was afraid of the dark, but there was no reply. Why did he come in here? This was a store room, what could he possibly need out of here?

"I do not think he's here, I should leave." I said to myself and turned towards the door. I was taking bigger steps, just wanting to get out of here and suddenly the door closed shut with a bang. The sudden sound made me jump in fear and I started to panic. I ran to the door and tried the handle, but it would not open.

"HEY! I AM INSIDE! OPEN THE DOOR!" I shouted, but could not hear anyone else outside. Who locked me in here? I was about to bang my hand on the door, when someone suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me back. My back slammed against something hard and then the same hand turned me around and made me face him. He pushed me against the door and I could feel myself panicking as I could hear his heavy breath getting closer to me, it sounded like he had been running.

"Hey....who....who are you? What are you doing?!" I asked, trying to reach for the door handle again, but suddenly I felt a hot breath near my lips. I tried to talk again, but he stopped me by pressing his lips to mine and kissing me. My eyes widened in shock and I tried to push whoever this was off me, but he grabbed my hands and held them at the side of me. He bit down on my bottom lip, causing me to gasp and thrust his tongue inside my mouth.

He was kissing me deep and hard, I opened my eyes and even though I could not see who it was I could feel that he was aroused, his member was digging into me. He must have taken some kind of drug because he was out of control, he kept biting my bottom lip and making me cry. Who is he? Why is he doing this to me?

I cried out loudly in fear, never having anything like this happen to me before. I thought he was going to rape me, but then he stopped kissing me and I felt his finger brush across my lips, as if he was asking me not to cry. I stopped crying, but my whole body was trembling in fear. I felt his hot breath near my lips again and I closed my eyes in fear, knowing that he was going to start kissing me again, but then I felt his breath near my ear.

"Found you." He whispered in my ear and when I opened my eyes he was not there. My hands were free and he was nowhere in sight. My hand automatically went to my chest, as I tried to calm my breathing and heart rate down, I looked around but still could not see anything. I reached behind me for the doorknob, turned it and to my surprise it immediately opened. I ran out of there as fast as I could and when I felt a safe distance away I stopped and wiped my face.

If anyone sees me like this then they're going to start asking questions and I didn't even know who it was or why he did this to me. I went to the security office and started to go through the CCTV footage, but there was nothing, it was as if he had appeared and disappeared like he was some sort of ghost. My image here was already ruined and this would only add to it. I stood here alone for a few minutes and started to tidy myself up and act as normal as I could so that no one would suspect anything, especially Lisa and Mia. I started to walk over to the crowd to meet Mia and Lisa and they were both waiting for me.

"Hey, where were you?" Lisa asked me and I just smiled, trying not to draw attention to myself.

"I went to find the new CEO." I replied and she just nodded.

"But he is right there, talking to the others." Mia said and I looked back to see him, but he was already looking at me. My eyes met with his brown ones and he was looking right at me. He was wearing a black expensive suit, which tightly hugged his wide shoulders and body. He was standing there with his hands in his pockets and now I understood why all the girls in the office were going crazy over him. He was really hot, I have never seen such a handsome man in all my life, but he seemed familiar to me.

Why do I feel as if he was the one in the store room with me? I can not be sure that it was him, but that man said that he went towards that room. How did he get out of the room? Why did he do this to me? What did he mean by found you? I looked at him and had so many questions going through my head, but by the look in his eyes he was doing the same. Who is this dangerous stranger? Why he is looking at me as he knows me. He had an evil smirk spread across his face and it was creeping me out. Why me?
