It was 11:59 at night, and the moment the clock turned 12, Rahul's cell phone started ringing. He picked up the phone, and it was his girlfriend, Preeti, wishing him a happy birthday with excitement. The calls kept coming on Rahul's cell phone, and he was happy to have friends who thought of him.
After the moment of well-wishing and gratitude, Rahul finally went to bed. The next morning, when he woke up, his elder brother and parents were in his bedroom. As soon as he opened his eyes, his father exclaimed, "Congratulations, young boy! You have turned 22." His mother added, "Rahul, my baby, it feels like yesterday when you were born, and today we are celebrating your twenty-second birthday." Rahul's brother chimed in, saying, "Congrats, champ," and Rahul replied, "Thank you, Mom and Dad."
Rahul's brother then offered his car for Rahul to use and enjoy on his way to college. Rahul expressed his gratitude, and his mother mentioned that she would be preparing dinner, inviting his friends to join. She reminded him not to forget to call Preeti. Rahul responded, "What, Mom? Not now." His mother retorted, "What, Mom? I am your mom, and I have every right to be involved in your life." After this exchange, everyone went about their day, and Rahul took his brother's car and headed to college.
Excited to meet his friends and Preeti, Rahul first visited Preeti's house. She greeted him, saying, "Hey, birthday boy, how are you?" Rahul replied, "I'm good, just be quick." Preeti agreed and asked for a moment to grab her bag. They both then left for college.
Upon reaching the college, Rahul parked the car, and Aman stood next to it. When Rahul stepped out of the car, Aman covered his eyes with his hands. Perplexed, Rahul asked Preeti, "What are you doing?" Preeti stood beside Aman and replied, "Just come with me." Aman and Preeti led Rahul to the canteen, where classmates and friends had gathered. When Aman removed his hands, party poppers went off, and everyone lifted Rahul in the air, giving him birthday bumps. Rahul jokingly pleaded, "Now put me down." Aman responded, "Not yet. We're going to cut the cake."
The cake-cutting turned into a cake fight, with boys and girls smearing cake on each other's faces, hands, and bodies. The commotion caught the attention of a janitor and a teacher, who scolded them and ordered them to leave the canteen immediately. All the kids rushed to the washroom to clean up. Cashew then asked Rahul, "Bro, where's the party?" Preeti interjected, saying, "Not tonight. Your mother had called me to your home." Rahul was surprised and asked, "What? When did that happen?" Preeti replied, "You don't know; your mother and I sometimes talk." Turning to Aman, Rahul inquired, "How many of us are there?" Aman answered, "Around fifteen." Rahul suggested, "Then let's go to Hangout bar and have some fun there." Aman agreed, and they made their way to the bar. Aman counted the cars, ensuring they had enough for everyone. Rahul confirmed that he had also brought his car. With no problems, they proceeded to the bar.
After enjoying themselves, everyone returned home. Rahul dropped off a few friends and was driving back home with Preeti. Aman called Rahul on his cell phone to thank him for the party, expressing his love. Rahul replied, "I know you love me, but you're drunk. We'll talk tomorrow." Aman tried to say something, but Rahul hung up. After the call, Rahul and Preeti were alone in the car and shared a romantic moment. Rahul held Preeti's hand and expressed, "You are the best thing that God has done for me." Preeti responded, "You're bringing down the mood. Let's hurry; we need to get home fast, and then you have to drop me off at my house." Rahul replied, "At your service, ma'am," and accelerated the car. They soon arrived at Rahul's home.
Rahul's mother, Arti, had made all the arrangements for dinner, and his brother, Samarth, and father, Vinod, were planning a surprise. However, since Rahul came home early, the surprise was no longer a secret. Rahul rang the doorbell, and Samarth opened the door, saying, "What? Can't you be late just one day?" Rahul retorted, "Late? You should have prepared it earlier." Preeti arrived, and Samarth exclaimed, "Wow, Preeti, what a surprise to see you here.
Arti came over and shushed him, saying, "Do not talk to her like that. She is my daughter. Come, Preeti, let's keep ourselves busy in the kitchen." Rahul responded, "You needed someone to talk to, so you called her to come." Arti replied, "Just go and talk to your dad." Rahul said, "I'm going to my room to freshen up. Be quick, as she has to go home early, and we have a test tomorrow."
Samarth said, "What test? You both wake up five hours early to prepare for the exam, and you'll be fine. I'm going out to get something." He then told his father, "I'm taking your credit card since the party is on you." Arti questioned, "Vinod, what are you up to?" Vinod replied, "It's just us three, having a man-to-man talk. You talk with your daughter, and me and my wolves will howl tonight." Arti said, "Just do whatever you want, but be easy on the boys." After this, Rahul went to his room, Samarth went out, and Vinod watched TV.
An hour later, Samarth returned, and Vinod asked, "Did you get what I asked for?" Samarth confirmed, "Yes, I got it." Vinod called Rahul, and the three of them gathered in the living room while Arti and Preeti joined them. Arti expressed her concern, saying, "What is this, Vinod? You're ruining it for them." Vinod retorted, "I'm ruining it? Would it be better if they come home drunk?" Arti warned, "You dare to do that." Samarth interjected, "Come on, Mom, it's just beer." Arti responded, "No, it's not just beer; it's a deadly poison."
Vinod grabbed Arti's hand and took her to the kitchen, explaining, "I know about my kids, and you don't need to worry. This will be a bond between a father and his two sons. Besides, they are above the legal drinking age. Let's support them by opening up to them." Arti reluctantly agreed, and Vinod returned to the living room. He took the boys to the roof, opened three beers, and said, "To my Rahul and to our bond." Samarth chuckled and remarked, "Bond?" Rahul added, "To life." The three of them took sips, held their beer bottles, and Samarth said, "Dad, you're great." Rahul commented, "Just one sip, and you spill the whole truth." Samarth affirmed, "I know what I'm saying. It's great that he's open with us like this." Rahul agreed, "Yes, to be honest, he's the best dad." Vinod jokingly added, "This is the last time I'm sitting with you two, as you both are party spoilers." The three of them laughed.
While the three were on the roof, Arti and Preeti had prepared dinner. Arti instructed Preeti to go upstairs and call them down to eat, as the food was getting cold.
Rahul said, "Yes, Dad, we must have dinner as I have to drop Preeti." Vinod replied, "As you order, birthday boy." The four of them came down and sat at the dining table while Arti served. Vinod said, "You don't need to do anything, just sit, and we will get the food." He added, "Boys, help your mother, and you, Preeti, sit with me." The boys went into the kitchen with Arti and Preeti, and Vinod engaged in a conversation.
Preeti said, "Uncle, you seem to be okay with the boys." Vinod responded, "Daughter, if it weren't for your aunt, these boys would have killed me." Preeti assured him, "One of the boys is with me, and I promise to take good care of him." Vinod requested, "Promise me." Preeti began saying, "I promise," but Arti interrupted, saying, "What promise are you two conspiring against me and my boys?" She laughed, and the boys brought all the food to the table.
Rahul proposed a toast, saying, "To the birthday boy. To my father and mother." Samarth interjected, "What about brother and girlfriend?" and they all laughed. Rahul continued, "Also, to my dumb brother and the girl of my dreams." Rahul began eating while Arti reminded Vinod, "Aren't you forgetting something?" Vinod questioned, "What? Everything is here." Arti replied, "The gift." Vinod hurried to his room, retrieved a small box, and gave it to Rahul, saying, "This is your gift." Rahul declined, "I don't want it." Samarth chimed in, "If you don't want it, give it to me." Rahul inquired, "What is it?" Arti urged him, "Open it." Rahul opened the box and found a car key inside. Excitedly, he exclaimed, "Oh my god, thanks Dad! I wanted a car so bad." Samarth suggested, "Do you want to exchange cars?" Rahul responded, "No way! It's a BMW, and I want it." Arti instructed, "Now have your food, and both Preeti and Rahul, go for a long drive. Rahul, drop Preeti at her house." Preeti objected, "No, you guys go for the first ride." Vinod persuaded, "Come on, daughter, you promised me something." He smiled at Preeti, and she relented, saying, "Okay."
After finishing their meal, Arti collected all the dishes. Preeti attempted to help, but Arti declined, saying, "No, darling, not now. When you come here after marriage, you can do the dishes." She then called Rahul and asked him to drop Preeti at her house. Rahul reluctantly agreed, saying, "Okay, I'll do that, but I'm feeling a bit dizzy." Arti dismissed his excuses, saying, "Stop making excuses and go." Rahul insisted, "I'm not making excuses." Preeti offered, "If there's a problem, I can take a cab." Arti replied, "No cabs and no excuses. Rahul, you take her home." Rahul acquiesced, "As you like."
Rahul fetched the keys and said to Preeti, "Let's go. We have a test tomorrow." Preeti suggested, "Just come to my house at 5 am in the morning. We'll study and prepare for the test." Samarth remarked, "That will only happen if you drop her at her house." Rahul and Preeti exited the house, and Rahul opened the car door for Preeti. She praised, "A gentleman's move. You're on the right track." Rahul replied, "Yes, I'm on the right track, but you're not." He revealed, "I overheard you and my father. What promise were you two talking about?" Preeti requested, "Just start the car, and I'll tell you on the way to my home." After driving for a few minutes, Rahul merged onto the highway and asked Preeti, "What promise was my father asking for?" Preeti replied, "This is between you and me." She continued, "Your father told me to be with you and take care of you." Rahul questioned, "What does he think?" Suddenly, a truck collided with Rahul's car, and both of them were injured. The truck driver fled the scene, but a passerby witnessed the accident and called the police. Rahul and Preeti were immediately admitted to the hospital.
The police arrived at the hospital and discussed the incident. Meanwhile, Rahul's and Preeti's families arrived, and Arti, seeing both of them lying on the hospital bed, started crying. Vinod approached the doctor to inquire about their condition.
Sheila, Preeti's mother, arrived and began crying too. She accused Arti of taking away her daughter. Preeti's father, Suraj, intervened and stopped Sheila. Then, Vinod arrived with the doctor, and both women approached the doctor to inquire about the children's condition. The doctor informed them that the situation was critical. The girl had passed away, but her brain was still functioning. The boy had severe cerebral hemorrhage. Vinod asked if both could be treated. The doctor explained that it was a critical case and only the boy could be saved, but on one condition: the girl's brain would be transplanted into the boy's skull. This was the first time such a case had been encountered. However, the operation couldn't proceed without the consent of the girl's family.
Suraj asked if there were any alternatives to save both of them. The doctor reiterated that the girl was deceased and only the boy could be saved. Suraj turned to Vinod and asked what they should do. Vinod, crying, pleaded with Suraj for his son's life. Sheila expressed her willingness to agree if it would help save Rahul, stating that she was not doing it for Arti but for her daughter. She acknowledged that if Preeti were alive, she would have wanted this as she loved Rahul. After expressing her decision, Sheila asked the doctor if she could see her daughter one last time. The doctor granted her request and accompanied her to the operating room. Rahul and Preeti were lying next to each other, and Sheila mourned, attempting to hug Preeti. Suraj intervened, urging Sheila not to mourn and allowing Preeti to rest. He took Sheila home.
The doctor returned and informed Vinod that the operation needed to be performed soon. Vinod was instructed to obtain the necessary medicines. He hurried to the chemist and acquired the medications. After the operation, Arti fell asleep on the couch while Vinod anxiously waited in the lobby. The doctor approached, and Vinod anxiously inquired if everything was alright and if his son had been saved. The doctor admitted uncertainty, explaining that this was the first case of its kind and that the boy was stable, but only prayers could save him. Vinod, in tears, pleaded with the doctor to save his child, offering to give all he had. The doctor responded that no amount of money could save him; it was his destiny and they had done their best. Vinod continued crying, gripping the doctor's hand, and begged him to save his child. The doctor reassured him that God was with the boy and left.
Shortly after, Arti woke up and asked Vinod about Rahul. Vinod informed her that their son's fate was in the hands of destiny, and there was nothing they could do. The doctor emerged from the operating room and exclaimed, "Mr. Vinod, we did it! Your son is alive, and he will live!" Arti approached the doctor, held his hands, and with a smile said, "Sir, you have saved my son. I can never repay you." Vinod joined them and asked the doctor if they could meet Rahul. The doctor replied that it was not possible at the moment as Rahul had been given sedatives to minimize pain. He instructed Arti to go home and rest, assuring her that their son had been saved. Vinod asked the doctor about the procedure, as he had never heard of a brain transplant before. Arti commented that it was God who was with them. The doctor agreed, acknowledging that the case had been extremely complicated and almost impossible.
Vinod said, 'I do not care you saved my son, and you are a god to me.' The doctor laughed and said, 'On a serious note, that it is the first time I did such an operation. The possibilities are that he could be doing strange things and even worse, as the whole brain has been transplanted, and the memory of that girl might disturb your son. So, you have to keep him in a reserved place where he can get used to his new brain.'
Vinod said, 'Can you tell me more about this, doctor?' The doctor said, 'This brain that your son is having is of that other girl, and in simple words, the brain is the CPU of the body. I have put the girl's CPU in your son's body, so there can be complications.' Vinod got scared and said, 'Will he be able to be like other people?' The doctor said, 'The chances are 50-50. It can take time or it will be forever, and that is the only drawback.'
After talking, the doctor left, and Vinod and Arti were outside. Vinod said, 'Arti, you go home, and I will be here. After a few hours, you come, and I will go for rest.' Arti nodded her head and went.
Vinod was in the lobby when he heard Rahul screaming, and he went inside. Vinod went closer to Rahul, and Rahul was crying in pain. Vinod got scared, and he tried to calm Rahul. In that process, Rahul pulled some wires, and Vinod called the doctor. The doctor said, 'Wait, he is having a nervous breakdown. Bring my equipment, and I think he is going into a coma.'
The moment Vinod was going, Rahul stood up and said, 'Where am I?' The doctor said, 'You are in the hospital.' Rahul closed his eyes and covered his ears, saying, 'I am seeing things and hearing a lot of noises.' The doctor asked, 'What are you seeing?' Rahul said, 'I am seeing Earth and planes around it, and I am hearing a lot of people. They are talking to me.' Vinod said, 'Doctor, what is he talking about? Is he all right?' The doctor said, 'I told you that this could happen.' Vinod asked, 'Is there a way to calm him down?' The doctor said, 'Only sedatives would work.'
Rahul started to talk strangely. He said to his father, 'I am god. Take me to my home. I am not from here.' Vinod started to cry after looking at Rahul's health. The doctor said, 'I wish I could do more, but he has gone psycho, and its only treatment is in Germany.' Vinod said, 'He has gone mad. What could possibly be the solution to this?' The doctor said, 'I know a great doctor who is the best psychiatrist, and he could help you. Go and take him there.' Vinod said, 'If that will work, I will take him there, but first, stabilize him.' The doctor said to the nurse, 'Hold Rahul,' and the doctor gave him sedatives so that he could sleep.
Later, Arti came, and Vinod told her about what happened when she was away. Arti said, 'I do not care. We will take him to the best doctor. I do not care about money. I want my kid back.' Vinod said, 'I am also thinking of that.' Arti said, 'Sell the land that we have and get the money. I want the best for him.' Vinod said, 'I will call your brother. He is an ambassador in Germany, and we three will go to Germany. But first, I have to talk to the doctor.' Arti said, 'Do anything. I want my son back.' Vinod said, 'You stay here while I talk to the doctor.'
Vinod went to the doctor's cabin and said, 'Doctor, can I talk to you for a few minutes about Rahul?' The doctor said, 'No issue. I was just finishing my food. Did you have something to eat?' Vinod said, 'I have talked to my wife, and we will go to Germany for his medical treatment.
The doctor said, 'That is good, and I have also talked to Doctor Fern. He is the senior psychiatrist there, and if you have connections, then arrange a medical visa for your son. Doctor Fern takes complicated cases, and he is intrigued by this kind of medical problem. He will keep your son with him, and you just go and take your son to him. Return back and then go when he will be treated.'
Vinod said, 'How much will it cost?' The doctor said, 'Do not worry about that, Doctor Fern will not charge anything as he is passionate about his work. But do give him the money for accommodations and medicines.'
Vinod said, 'Then I will go get the medical visa. But doctor, are you sure that he will get back to normal?' The doctor said, 'Do not worry, Doctor Fern is the head of the International Medical Association. Your son will be set as an example for treating such complicated cases.'
Vinod said, 'Will my son be a lab rat for that doctor?' The doctor said, 'No, Mr. Vinod, it is not like that. Doctor Fern will be examining him carefully. What we have done is nothing but a miracle, and Dr. Fern is a great doctor. Now, you go and sit in the lobby while I go see other patients.'
Vinod left the cabin and went to the lobby, where he met Arti. Arti asked, 'What did the doctor say?' Vinod said, 'The doctor has talked to a doctor in Germany, and we have to leave him with the doctor until he gets better.'
Arti said, 'No, I will not let that happen. I will not leave my kid in any doctor's lab to let him rot. I am taking him to our house, and I will take care of him.' Vinod said, 'If you want, I will take him home. But tell me, what will happen to him after we die? He has to live his new life, and for that, he has to be left with Doctor Fern.'
Arti started to cry and said, 'My poor child. First this happened, and now he will be with a doctor, and I do not know what will happen. Vinod, I am scared. I want my boy back.' Vinod said, 'If you want your son, then let that doctor help him. He needs to be normal again and live his life.'
Arti agreed and said, 'How will we send him to Germany?' Vinod said, 'I will talk to your brother Rajesh, and he will issue a medical visa for Rahul.' Arti said, 'But what about money? He will be in a hospital, and how will we pay the hospital bills?'
Vinod said, 'There is no issue with the money. Doctor Fern will only take the accommodation charges and medicine charges.'
Vinod came back home while Arti was in the hospital. He reached home and called Rajesh. The bell rang, and Rajesh said, 'Hello Vinod, how are you?' Vinod said, 'Rajesh, I need your help.' Rajesh asked, 'What happened? Is everything alright?' Vinod started to cry and said, 'Rahul is...' Rajesh interrupted and asked, 'What happened with Rahul? Is he alright?'
Vinod said, 'He met a car accident, and now he is in the hospital. He needs to be taken to Germany, where he will be treated.' Rajesh said, 'Do not give it a second thought. Get him here. We will find the best doctors to treat him.' Vinod said, 'I have already found a doctor.' Rajesh asked, 'Who? Tell me the name.' Vinod said, 'His name is Fern, the head of the International Medical Association.
Rajesh said, 'He is a lunatic. He only takes severe and complicated cases to get his name out in front of the world.' Vinod said, 'Our doctor has referred Rahul to him, and I want you to arrange a medical visa for Rahul so that we can come there.' Rajesh said, 'Give me two days' time, and you will get the visa. If you need anything, I am just a call away.' Vinod said, 'Yes, thank you, but I need your help. Rahul is unstable, and we have to take him to Doctor Fern soon.' Rajesh said, 'Do not worry. I will get the visas as soon as possible.' Vinod said, 'Okay,' and ended the call.
Meanwhile, Samarth came and asked, 'How is Rahul?' Vinod started to cry and said, 'Son, what a fool I am. I made him drink that night just before the accident. It is all my fault.' Samarth said, 'Father, destiny has it all figured out. It had to happen. How is Rahul?' Vinod said, 'He has gone mad, and I am taking him to Germany to a doctor who will treat him.' Samarth went to Vinod, hugged him, and said, 'Father, I am with you. Do not worry. Your elder son is still alive. You take him to Germany, and I will take care of mother.' Vinod said, 'Okay, son.'
After taking some time to relax, Vinod went to the hospital where Arti was sitting. He brought her some tea and snacks and said, 'Have it. You might be hungry.' Arti said, 'You know what happened when you were at home. Rahul regained consciousness and started to shout. He threw things at me and was talking about people who are coming to kill him. The doctor came and gave him injections. That was not my son. That is somebody else.' Vinod said, 'That is why I am taking him to Germany.' Arti said, 'Please get me my son back and take everything from me.'
Just then, Vinod's cell phone rang, and it was Rajesh. Vinod answered the call and said, 'Rajesh, have you managed to get the visa?' Rajesh said, 'I have done all the formalities. I even booked the tickets for you, Arti, and Rahul.' Vinod asked, 'What is the time of the flight?' Rajesh replied, 'Ten PM Indian time.' Vinod realized it was seven o'clock and they only had three hours. Rajesh said, 'Do not worry. Just get him here, and I will take care of the rest.' Vinod said, 'Okay. I am sending Arti home to pack a few clothes, and I will take care of the necessary arrangements for Rahul.' Arti went home to pack, and Vinod went to the doctors and said, 'Doctor, we have a flight at ten PM. Kindly tell me how to proceed.' The doctor said, 'You don't have to do anything. The bills are paid.' Vinod asked, 'Who paid the bills?' The doctor pointed towards a man, and it was Preeti's father, Mr. Suraj.
Vinod said, 'Suraj, why did you do that?' Suraj replied, 'This is not for you, but for my daughter. She loved Rahul a lot, and when I came here, I saw what happened to Rahul. If Preeti was alive, she would have wanted me to do this.' Vinod said, 'Suraj, thank you for your generosity and kindness.' Suraj said, 'Do not worry. If you need anything, I am just a call away.
Vinod said, 'Thank you,' and Suraj went back to his home. Vinod went to the doctor and said, 'Doctor, it's just three hours, and we have to take Rahul to the plane. We have managed to get the medical visa for him.' The doctor said, 'No issue. I will call the ambulance, and we will give him sedatives so that he doesn't wake up in the middle of the flight.' Vinod said, 'Thank you, doctor, for this help.' The doctor went to visit other patients, and a nurse soon came and managed everything, from taking Rahul from the ICU to the ambulance. From there, Vinod and Rahul, with a few medics, reached the airport, where they met Arti and Samarth, and they all boarded the flight. Samarth came back home.
The flight took off at exactly ten PM, and everything was normal until, in the middle of the air, Rahul woke up and sat. Nobody was attending to him. He took off his t-shirt and went to the cockpit, starting to talk to the pilot.
The pilot soon called Vinod and the airhostess. Rahul said to the pilot, 'Very well, take my chariot to my castle, and you will be rewarded.' At first, the pilot didn't know what was happening, and then Vinod told him that Rahul was medically ill. The pilot told the medic on board to give him sedatives, and soon Rahul was taken to a chamber and sedated with medication. Vinod went back to his seat. Arti asked, 'What happened? Why did the airhostess call you?' Vinod said, 'Rahul woke up and went to the cockpit. The pilot called me to bring him back, and the medic on board gave him injections.' Arti said, 'What has God done to us? We have never done injustice to anybody, and this is how God is treating us.' Vinod said, 'Do not worry. Everything will be fine. You should try to sleep. It is a long flight.' Arti said, 'How can I sleep when my son is like that? Vinod, I am scared. What if Doctor Fern also fails? What will we do?' Vinod said, 'It is all at the mercy of God.' Arti said, 'But it is unjust to us. We haven't done anything bad to anyone.' Vinod said, 'Yes, I know, but nothing works in front of God. Now, you try to sleep. You haven't slept in three days.' Arti said, 'Then what will you do?' Vinod said, 'I will go near Rahul and sit there.' Arti said, 'You better go and keep an eye on him.' Vinod left Arti, and Arti took a nap while Vinod went to Rahul.
Rahul was lying on the bed, and Vinod went to him, held his hand, and said, 'Son, what have I done?' Tears filled his eyes. He continued, 'Son, it's all my fault, and I am your culprit. You were not meant to be here. I am the culprit.' Rahul murmured, 'Pa... Pa... Pa,' and Vinod got shocked. He tried to reply, but Rahul was unconscious. Vinod stayed next to him throughout the rest of the journey, and in the morning, around eight PM, they reached Germany.
Rajesh was already at the airport with the ambulance. Soon, Vinod and Arti arrived at the gate with Rahul, and Arti ran to Rajesh, crying and hugged him. After that, Rajesh wiped the tears from her eyes. Arti said, 'Brother, see what has happened to our small family.' Rajesh said, 'Do not worry, my sister. I will take care from here now.'
Vinod approached and shook hands with Rajesh. Rajesh said, 'I have brought the ambulance, and you two come with me in my car.' Vinod said, 'First, we have to take Rahul to Doctor Fern, and until then, I will not go anywhere as I need to talk to him.' Rajesh said, 'Yes, that is my plan.' The medics placed Rahul in the ambulance, and the parents accompanied Rajesh in the car.
Rajesh said, 'Here, I have some sandwiches for both of you.' Vinod said to Arti, 'Here, have some. I do not want to eat.' Arti said, 'I do not want to eat either.' Rajesh forced them to eat a sandwich while Rahul was in the ambulance. Rajesh asked Vinod, 'How did you come to know about Doctor Fern?' Vinod said, 'Our doctor in India told us about him.' Rajesh said, 'He is a good doctor, but he can sometimes be a pain to handle.' Arti said, 'I do not care. I want the best for my child.'
Soon, they reached the hospital, and Vinod said, 'Let me go check with Doctor Fern while you get Rahul admitted to the hospital.' Rajesh said, 'Yes, you go meet Fern while we shift him to a room.' Vinod went to the reception and asked for Doctor Fern. The receptionist said, 'Are you Mr. Vinod from India?' He replied, 'Yes.' The receptionist said, 'He is waiting for you in his cabin.' Vinod asked, 'Can you tell me the way to his cabin?' The receptionist replied, 'Go straight and turn left. His cabin is there.' Vinod thanked her and went to the cabin. Fern said, 'Come in.' Vinod entered, and Fern said, 'Do not sit. Fill this form. Where is your son?' Vinod said, 'I am Vinod, Rahul's father.' Fern said, 'Yes, I know. Just fill the form. Where is Rahul?' Vinod replied, 'The medics are taking him to the hospital room.' Fern said, 'No, there is no need for that. You come with me and bring the form. Let's go to Rahul.'
They both went to the room, and Fern said to the medic, 'Take him back to the ambulance.' The medics complied. Rajesh greeted the doctor, saying, 'Hello, doctor. Nice meeting you.' Fern questioned, 'Who is he? I will not entertain anybody except his father. The rest can go home.' Rajesh was about to reply, but Vinod stopped him by clicking his hand. Fern said to Vinod, 'You come with me. The rest of you can go home.' Vinod said, 'Doctor, you go. I am coming.' Arti said, 'How rude he is.' Rajesh asked Vinod, 'Why did you stop me?' Vinod replied, 'It's my son. Please bear with him. Both of you go home, and I am going to his house.' Arti said, 'What will he do at home?' Vinod said, 'I do not know, but both of you go home.'
Vinod went to the ambulance, while Arti and Rajesh went home. Vinod reached the ambulance and said, 'Doctor, I have come. Let's go.' The doctor said, 'Are you out of your mind? You Indians are always late for work. Now sit in the vehicle, and let's go to my house.' Doctor Fern and Vinod arrived at Fern's house with Rahul. Vinod was worried about how Rahul would be treated at the doctor's house. Vinod asked him, 'How will you treat Rahul here, at your home?
Fern asked, 'Are you the doctor, or am I the doctor?' Vinod replied, 'Sorry, but I am his father, and I need to know how you will treat him.' Fern said, 'I will be giving him my personally designed therapies that you will get to know when you see him, alright? He will be back to being a normal man.' Vinod said, 'Ask me anything-money, land, whatever you like. I will give it, but I want my kid back to normal.' Fern replied, 'My dear friend, I have gotten a degree for this, not to earn money that is of no use. So, do not say you will give money to me. I am doing this because I want to make changes in the psychological medicines, and your son is the perfect case. Now, you go to your country, and I will be talking to you every Sunday. You will see the transition in a few months. Now, you can go.' Vinod said, 'Okay, I am leaving my son here. He is more important to me than anything, and please take good care of him.' Fern said, 'Yes, now you can go.' Vinod left and reached Rajesh's house.
Rajesh asked, 'What did that jerk say? He doesn't have the courtesy to talk to people. Now, tell me, what did he say?' Vinod replied, 'He will be taking care of Rahul, and he said that the transitions will come soon.' Rajesh said, 'If he does that, then I am willing to spare him. He doesn't know my power. I can suspend his license.' Vinod said, 'There is no issue in that, but Arti and I need to go back. Can you book two flight tickets for tonight?' Rajesh said, 'But you came in the morning. Stay for a few days.' Vinod said, 'I have one more kid with me, and he is alone. I cannot leave him like this.' Arti said, 'Yes, he is right. We need to go.' Rajesh said, 'If you want that, then I will book the tickets.' Rajesh booked two tickets back to India, and late at night, Vinod and Arti went back.
Meanwhile, Rahul was with Doctor Fern. Fern ran some tests on him. He got his CT scan and other necessary reports and saw that there was a small nerve cell releasing some kind of fluid. He called Doctor Rakesh in India. Fern said, 'Hello, Rakesh. How are you?' Rakesh replied, 'Very well, sir. Has the boy reached you?' Fern said, 'Yes, Rakesh. He is with me, but I have a small doubt in my mind.' Rakesh asked, 'What is it, doctor?' Fern explained, 'There is a loose nerve cell that is leaking a different kind of fluid that I have not seen until now.' Rakesh said, 'I do not remember that. If it is there, I will check the reports again.' Rakesh reviewed the reports and said, 'No, doctor. All his reports are clear.' Fern questioned, 'Then how come there is growth in the brain, and this fluid-it is not normal, and it is leaking with intensity.' Rakesh advised, 'Doctor, you should run the tests again.' Fern ran the tests again, and that nerve cell was still present, and the fluid had enormously spread throughout the whole brain.
Fern called Rakesh and said, 'My friend, you need to come as the nerve cell has grown, and the fluid is present in the whole brain.' Rakesh replied, 'Sir, but how is that possible? I have done it myself.' Fern said, 'Rakesh, why would I be lying?' Rakesh said, 'Sir, I have checked his reports, and they are normal.' Fern said, 'I am sending you a new report. Kindly check and tell me what I am observing. Is that a mutated brain?' Rakesh said, 'Okay, sir. You send me the reports, and I will check.'
Rakesh cut the call, and within a few minutes, he received an email from Fern. He opened the mail and took printouts of the documents. When he checked, there was a nerve ending that had grown. Rakesh got overwhelmed with the situation and called Fern. Fern picked up the phone, and Rakesh said, 'Sir, you are right. There has been growth in one of the nerve cells, and it's leaking fluid. But how can that be possible? If there is fluid in the brain, then how is he surviving? This is a major issue.' Fern said, 'Rakesh, my friend, there has been negligence on your side. You did all this. If I tell it to the international fraternity, you could lose your license.' Rakesh said, 'Doctor, when he was here, I checked, and there was no growth in the cells, and the fluid was not there.' Fern said, 'I did the tests again, and now the fluid is not there. It has formed a layer covering the brain.' Rakesh asked, 'Doctor, how is that possible?' Fern said, 'Rakesh, now what will happen if the boy dies? What will I tell his parents?' Rakesh said, 'I am sorry, Doctor, but...' Fern interrupted, saying, 'But what?' Rakesh asked, 'Sir, what should I do? You tell me.' Fern said, 'You do not have to do anything. I will take care from now on.' In anger, Fern slammed the receiver down and went into Rahul's room.
