She detected the differences not only in her husband but in her twins as well. She has this perception that she is losing them but she doesn't know why and she doesn't understand, she feels invisible in her own home, it's like she Doesn't fit into the picture anymore. Her husband has taken the kids out again, she couldn't help but detect that every time they come back, they behave differently. Her twins aren't attention-seeking as they used to be, rather, they stayed off her. Her husband doesn't even sleep in the same room as her, doesn't hold her or touch her at all '.

"Madam" she heard nanny Margaret call.

"Nanny, do you need anything?".

"No I want to ask if you are alright, I have discovered that you have been standing there for over an hour now," she said.

'Nanny Margaret has been with their family since she married Alexander wade over five years ago, she has been a mother to her and grandmother to her kids. Ella has no family. Her parents die when she was eight years old, murdered in cold blood in front of her and none of her extended family members took her in. They dumped her in an orphanage and that's where she grew up with the constant nightmares of her parent's death hunting her.

"Ella you are lost in your thinking again".

"I am sorry, I am fine there's nothing to be troubled about".

" Ella I may be aged but I have known that things have not been the same for months now".

' Yes she's right it's been months since the changes in her husband and kids.' She reckoned.

"Everything is fine Nanny, the kids will be home soon so I will just go and have dinner ready," she said as she headed over to the kitchen.

"No I will cook, you just go upstairs and rest," she said.

" But nanny...She argued.

Nanny gave her a push toward the stairs. She gave up and went to her room.

She walked up the stairs but didn't go to her room, she head towards her kid's room instead. she tugged open the door and went in, she looked around the deserted room that she had been sleeping in for the past five days and felt a great sense of yearning. She missed her children and their chitchat. The house was too silent and cold without them.

She encounter Alexander wade when she left the orphanage at the age of twenty. They were kind enough to let her stay for two extra years. she went for a trek around the park and crashed into him. The most handsome man she had ever set her eyes on. it was love at first sight. They chatted and snickered for hours. it's like they were formulated for each other. They conveyed their uncertainties and discomforts. They have been together ever since.

She heard a bang on the door and she was drawn out of her thoughts.

" Come in". She exclaimed.

Nanny Margaret walked in. " Ella, I just saw Master's car pulled in".

" What! The kids are here?"

She hastily ran towards the door not stopping for a response.

'Are they going to be delighted to see me? Did they miss me?'. She thought.

When she arrived at the door, she was about to pull it open when it was yanked from the other side, she stepped aside hoping to see her kids trot into the house but it was only Alexander that strolled through the door.

He glared at her coldly.

" where are the kids, you told me you were going to bring them home today, where are they, Alex?". She asked anxiously.

" They opposed to coming home". He said without looking at her and presided towards the sofa.

He sat down and eventually perked up at her. she felt goosebumps just looking at his eyes so she looked away.

" Wh.. why did they refuse to come home".

" They preferred to stay with their grandparents, there was nothing I could do". She heard him say. She gazed back at him.

" When will they be back then? " She inquired.

She has Missed her babies so much.

" Not until the court hearing if there is going to be any". He retorted.

She halted on hearing that. She couldn't speculate what she just learned. She didn't want to believe it.

" w...what do you mean," she asked in a quivering voice.

She had an unpleasant feeling about what was going to occur next.

'Why is he doing all of this? Where is the man that assured me eternity?'.

She gaped at him as he pulled out some documents from his suitcase.

" What are you talking about?" She interrogated.

He didn't counter instead he got up and headed upstairs leaving the documents on the table. She moved towards the table with trembling hands and picked up the papers and looked through them. She discovered that it was a divorce contract and he has already approved.

She gulped and drop to her knees, she was still looking at the papers but her vision was blurry, tears streamed down her face and dipped on the papers.

"Ella". Someone murmured.

She was enclosed in a warm embrace, she comprehended it was Nanny Margaret.

" I..I.." she couldn't make out any words.

" It's going to be alright dear ". She mumbled.

" No, it's not nanny, I think I just lost my family". She sobbed.

" You still have your children, you nevertheless have Lucas and Lily, fight for them, Ella".

She didn't know what to say or do, she just slumped into her embrace and wailed.

After weeping her heart out on Nanny's shoulders.

" Thanks, Nanny". She whispered in a daze and headed towards the stairs with the papers in her hand. "Ella dear, for your children. please don't approve the papers". She proceeded towards the stairs. She seemed to be in a daze, she felt her body dwindle and her heart numb. She entered her room and went directly to bed. She was physically and mentally exhausted.

"Ella, mi Amor, I will love and adore you for eternity. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, I am the luckiest man in the world. I will protect you from any harm and I will always make you happy as you have made me. I love you my Ella, Always and forever".

Both sides of her eyes warm up as she hearkened to his words.

" I love you too, my Alex. Always and forever".

And their vow was sealed with a kiss. They were congratulated as they strolled down the aisle, wedded jointly as husband and wife.

"Ella, are you okay?" She moan as she attempted to sit up on the infirmary bed, she have just finished pushing out two tiny pumpkins from her body.

"Ella, love? " She heard someone call.

She looked up and meet their anxious eyes of Alex.

"Yes. I am fine honey, where are my pumpkins".

" They are..." They were interrupted by the sound of the door opening. The doctor stepped in followed by a nurse pushing in a trolley and Alexander's parents following closely behind.

" How are you doing Mrs. Wade?, Do you feel any pains?" The doctor inquired.

" No doctor, I am good. I only feel depleted ". She said sickly.

" It's usual for you to feel that way, you have two healthy babies"

"Thanks, doctor, when can she be discharged," my mother-in-law asked.

" Tomorrow. Pardon me". He departed with the nurse.

She peeked towards the trolley and saw a blue and pink wrapping. Alex noticed her gaze and went to bring them close to her. She hugged them in her arms and smooched their little hands.

"Alex". She called softly.

"Yes?"

"I want to name them Lucas and Lily". She heard Lily whimper and she chuckled. 'I think she approves. She thought.

"I like it". My mother-in-law said. And my father-in-law agreed.

" Lucas Xander Wade and Lily Bella Wade". The kids wailed in their parent's arms.

" They like it". She laughed. Her face shown with happiness.

" Yes, They do. I love you, Ella". His gaze filled with gentleness. He pulled Ella closer and shower kisses all over her face.

Laughter filled the room like a sweet melody. Everybody felt the warmth of love in their heart.

She felt the sunlight shinny down on her eyelids, she opened her eyes slowly. She got up tiredly and headed toward the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Her eyes were puffy from crying. She took her bath, put on her clothes, and went back to the room. She glanced at the papers on her desk and grabbed them.

She walked out of the room and headed toward Alexander's office. She pushed opened the door but stopped when she heard him talking on the phone.

" Susan, just be patient she will sign the papers, and then we can finally be together again".

" Susan". She whispered.

Her heart trembled when she heard that name.

Susan was Alexander's childhood friend and ex-lover. She left him because she wanted to pursue her dreams of being a model and actress, but Alexander disagreed. Alexander found Susan in a club making out with another guy two days after their fight. Susan left years ago and never came back.

She's back? He's breaking our family because of her?.

" Okay. Take care" she heard him say as he put down his phone.

She composed herself and walked into the office.

Alexander heard the door shut and without lifting his head. He said in a frigid voice. " Have you signed the papers"?

" No, I am not going to sign it". She ripped the papers. She had decided to fight for her kids.

" Ella, don't make this difficult than it already is".

" Can you listen to yourself, you are the one doing this. How could you?. we've been together for seven years, we have kids for God's sake". She suppressed the bitterness in her heart.

" Listen, Ella, I never acknowledged that I still have feelings for Susan until six months ago".

" Oh Susan". She said in disgust. " You are severing us apart because of that woman who left you seven years ago?. I am not signing any papers for my kid's sake". She said determinedly and veered around to leave the room.

His face went blank." I don't love you anymore". He confessed.

She halted at the door.

" Let's end this relationship. Even the kids prefer Susan as their mother, that's why I want to also get full custody of them. I will see you in court". He went on.

She didn't notice the aggrieved expression on Alexander's face. "I am sorry my love". He whispered as the door banged loudly after Ella stomped out.

Ella clenched her fits and walked out of the room.

She headed down the stairs in a trance as tears unknowingly stream down her face. Her heart hurts so much that it became hard to breathe.

Her phone rang bringing her out of her state, she took out her phone from the pocket of her coat and saw that it was Samantha who was calling.

"Hello". She answered. Her voice was wobbling.

"Ella, Are you okay?. I learned from Mom that Susan is back".

" I...I don't know what to do Sam". She whimpered.

"Meet me at Mr. Ben's in ten minutes now". She ordered and terminated the call.

She went back up the stairs to her room and picked up her purse and car keys. She ran down the stairs out of the house, she was about to enter the car when she heard her name yelled from behind.

" Ella, where are you off to in such a hurry without eating breakfast". implored Nanny Margaret.

" I will be back soon Nanny, don't bother about me. I will see you later". She entered the car and drove out.

A few minutes later. She arrived at the cafe known as Mr. Ben's. She came down after packing in a vacant space and walked towards the door.

She shoved open the door and walked in. She saw Samantha sitting two tables away from where she stood.

Samantha was Alexander's cousin. She lost her parents when she was six and was raised by her aunt, Alexander's mother. She is a fashion designer and is famously known in the country. Alexander is her sponsor as he is in the top ten of the wealthiest men in the world. He is known as the most ferocious businessman in the business industry. Samantha was a beautiful woman, with short black straight hair while Ella's was long brown and curry.

"Sam". She spoke softly.

Samantha raised her head on hearing her name. She was thrilled to see the face she's been anxious to see for months. She tugged Ella in for a hug. Her heart aches for her friend. She yanked Ella into the chair close to her.

" Ella. Are you okay?". Sam implored.

" I am not okay Sam. I am about to lose everything. My kids, my love, my family". A tear trailed down her elliptic face and another followed touching her slender neck. Her hazel eyes glisten with tears.

" Oh, Ella. I can't imagine Alex would do this to you. You were the golden couple. I think something is missing here". She said blinking in confusion.

" I guess Susan meant a lot more to him than I have ever realized. I mean I have been with him for seven years. We were so happy and then she came back". She mumbled weakly.

" That horrible seductress. I will rip off her gut and feed them to her and I will cut off Alexander's baby maker and throw it in the sea for sharks to eat". Sam said maliciously.

Ella looked at her charming friend. Her face was swelled from anger. She was so adorable that Ella resist the urge to pull her cheeks and chuckled instead.

Sam heard her friend giggle and she groan. " I am serious. Stop snickering at me".

Ella smiled and tugged Samantha in a hug. " Thanks, Sam for everything". She muttered.

"Don't thank me. We are soul sisters. Don't ever forget that". Sam whispered back.

They pulled out of the hug and stared at each other for a while and abruptly ruptured into laughter. Everyone whirled to look at the two wackos prompting the disruption and scoffed in their direction.

" I love you bestie. You are the best". Ella said as she grinned.

" I know I am fantastic. Tell me more". Sam said naughtily.

Samantha peeked at Ella and her heartfelt emphatic towards her dear friend. She could see how exhausted Ella looked. She couldn't help but curse her brother. Ella was a rare gem and he was about to lose the treasure that was given to him on a platter of gold.

" Why don't you spend tonight with me. Connor is out of the country on a business expedition so we have the house to ourselves and besides I miss having our girl's night". Sam said pouting.

" You just want me over because you are lonesome and you're missing your fiance". Ella said giggling.

" You got me but I miss you. Please Ella". She said as she clasped Ella's hand and gave the best puppy eyes she could.

" Okay. Let's have the best sleepover ever". Ella said and Sam jump with enthusiasm.

" Let's get started". Sam squealed and they ran out of the dinner.

" They are undoubtedly crazy". Someone whispered in the crowd.

While In Wade's residence.

Alexander left his study and headed down the stairs toward the dining area. He was smartly dressed in a suit with his brownish hair permed backward. His right hand ran through his hair and his left holding his suitcase. He glanced at the empty chairs at the dining table and took a seat at one of them.

"Nanny Margaret". He called loudly.

Nanny Margaret heard her name and quickly walked into the dining area.

" Yes?". She retorted coldly. She couldn't help but get furious at Alexander.

Alexander lifted his head from the file he was glancing at and looked at her. He was not stunned at her temperament towards him because he knew how extensively she cares for Ella and the kids.

" I want a cup of coffee". He requested.

" Yes sir". She answered back sarcastically and left for the kitchen.

Alexander sulked at her. He looked around the empty dining room and he couldn't help but felt an enormous feeling of loss.

Nanny Margaret, arrived with his coffee and without glancing at him she dropped it on the table and asked dryly. " Is there anything else?".

Alexander ratified her tone. " No". He said. He scrutinized her as she left. He took a sip and the coffee and nearly dropped the cup.

" Fuck". He blurted. The coffee was steaming hot.

Nanny Margeret peered at him from her hiding place and covered her mouth from laughing aloud. ' That is for making Ella cry'. She thought and quietly left before she was excavated.

Alexander's phone abruptly rang. His underling was calling. He stood up and sauntered away from the dining area down the front door. He answered the phone with his right hand and his Left firmly holding on to the suitcase.

" Yes?". He yelled. He got into the back seat of his car and gestured to the driver to move the car.

' Did I call at a bad time'? His assistant thought. " Sir, you have a meeting with the emissaries from China in an hour".

" I will be there soon". He terminated the call after that and glanced out the window as the car moved on the road smoothly toward the office.

While gazing through the window, he abruptly had a reminiscence of his vows to Ella.
