Harrison Manor – Afternoon

Andrew Harrison stared miserably at his aquarium while speaking to their Private Physician. The doctor reads the medical test results of his wife Amelia. The doctor shook his head because he saw that her illness was critical.

Dr. Anthony Carlton looked at Mr. Harrison anxiously.

"Mr. Harrison, According to the result of Ma'am Amelia's examinations, she is no longer in better condition."

"Tell me the truth Anthony. Is she going to die soon? How long will she live?" Andrew asks.

"Less than a year is the longest time she will live, sir. We cannot do anything but to accept her fate. We already did everything but her body refused all the treatment." Anthony replied sadly.

Tears surged up in Andrew's eyes. Their money cannot help to lengthen his wife's life. Amelia has a brain tumor and is in a critical stage. She is in a lot of pain. She barely eats or sleeps so her body continuously weakens. He took a deep breath and went out of the office to look at his wife.

Amelia sat on the bed and hugged a baby doll. She also has tears in her eyes. Andrew was even depressed. They didn't love each other back then because they just arranged marriage with their parents. Their families were both rich and business partners so they could do nothing but obey them but after a year they got along well because Amelia was sweet and kind to him.

"Amelia, are you okay? Do you need anything? Doctor Carlton is here too." Andrew asked his wife. She smiled at him then nodded.

"Dear, I'm okay but I want to do something before I die. Could you please make it happen for me? My one last wish." Amelia said. Even though she is bald due to the chemotherapy treatment and her skin is not as good as before. You can still see her beauty from the inside.

Andrew was a little regretful if he had learned to love his wife. Maybe their situation might not have been like this. He feels even guiltier because he knows he hasn't done much as Amelia's husband.

"A-All right, just say whatever you want I will do it for you. Where do you want to go? What do you want to eat or buy? I will give everything." Andrew said anxiously.

"I want a child." Amelia said earnestly then she hugged her baby doll again which Andrew gave her to accompany her before during her chemotherapy treatment at the hospital.

Andrew, on the other hand, was worried because of her wife's condition. They spent almost three years together as a couple but only one year after they got married she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. They took her to various countries for treatment but it seems that she is destined to die early.

"But Amelia..." Andrew looks worried. Sex is not a problem actually before Amelia diagnose to her illness their sex life is fine. What he is worrying about is his wife's bodily capability to bear a child.

"I know that I will not be long here but I would like to give you a child so that I can leave something to you and to our parents. They are so depressed about my condition. I also know that I can't afford to bear it so I hope we can find a surrogate woman who can carry our child. I hope this can be done soon. Please Andrew do it for me." Amelia said seriously but there were tears in her eyes.

Andrew hugged her and nodded. "All right, I'll do everything for you. I will find a suitable surrogate for us. We will have our child."

"Thank you my dear." Amelia said while sobbing.

Preston home – Afternoon

Natalie listened silently to the discussion between her in-law and her Husband, David. They haven't liked her for their son ever since. She is only nineteen years old while David is twenty one when they got married because her parents are very old-fashioned.

They caught them kissing in her room so her father got mad and immediately rushed to David's parents to hold him responsible for what he had done to her. David's parents cannot do anything to pursue his father's mind, so a simple nuptial was held for them.

"What happened now? It doesn't seem to be going well in our company. What should we do?" Mr. Marlon Preston said while massaging his temples. Father of David. They own a small cooking oil factory.

"Are we going to go bankrupt? Is the company at a loss?" Mrs. Lara Preston asked. Mother of David. She seems annoyed and confused.

"Our profits are too small and many of our employees no longer come to work because they have not been paid for more than three months. They actually want to sue us." David said anxiously.

"What are we going to do? This is your fault David! If you hadn't agreed to marry your useless wife before, I would have introduced you to the mayor's daughter. We will benefit more from their power and connection." Lara said while tapping the table.

David shook his head and said, "Ma, please lower your voice, she can hear you."

"David, your mother is right. They are just a poor family, we spent more on your wedding than they did remember? We do not benefit from them." Marlon agreed to his wife.

"I don't care if she could hear me! It is better so she will know that she is useless and worthless! Divorce her while it's still early." Lara said angrily.

Natalie disappointedly left the house, not knowing how to help her husband's problem. She went to a coffee shop and sat down to clear her mind. Her chest was so suffocated but she didn't want to cry. She doesn't want to go to her parent's because even though they are poor her parents are very hardworking. While drinking her coffee, she accidentally overheard a woman talking on her cellphone.

"Yes, Mr. Harrison, I will find a secret surrogate mother for you and Ma'am Amelia as soon as possible. How much will you be willing to pay in case I found someone? 50 million dollars? Okay sir noted. I'll call you once I find a suitable woman."

Natalie couldn't help but look at the woman. She finished talking and also looked at her then smiled. Bravely, Natalie stepped aside from the woman and asked shyly. "M-Ma'am, I'm sorry if I heard your conversation but is it true that you will give 50 million dollars to a secret surrogate mother?" she asked.

"Yes my boss is willing to pay, are you willing?" the woman asked seriously. Natalie didn't say a word but nodded with teary eyes.

Two weeks later at Golden land City International Hospital

"Natalie, open your legs as wide as you can." The doctor commands.

Natalie is lying on the operating table. The doctor takes a long tube and enters her body. She then pushes the injection inside her containing sperm and egg cells of the client.

Natalie has mixed thoughts in her mind. She is only nineteen years old. It is really out of her belief that she would do surrogacy for other couples to carry their child.

Her husband's family is almost bankrupt. But As long as she surrogates for other people's babies, they will get a large amount of money to use to start their business again. Natalie has to swallow her pride to help them. She doesn't want to be called useless and worthless anymore.

She is willing to do anything for David and to his family. 50 million dollars is what they need. This is the answer to their financial struggles.

The operation is quite a success, and Natalie is pressed out of the operating room by the nurse.

She touched her stomach. Does her uterus start to conceive the child of a strange couple amazingly?

"Mr. Harrison, according to Dr. Carlton the operation is successful. We just need to wait for the woman to give birth soon." Attorney Camille Vasquez said.

Andrew smiled then nodded but his eyes were full of worries because Amelia is not feeling well since yesterday. "Good job Attorney. Give the woman everything she needs so that she does not have difficulty in conceiving. Make sure the baby is healthy."

"Yes, Mr. Harrison."

Natalie was lying gloomily in the hospital bed. Her husband did not even visit because he did not agree with what she did but accepted the money to pay the debts of their business. Even David's parents did not show up or even thank her for what she did to save their company.

However, her own parents supported her and still take care of her even if they get nothing from the money she received.

"Are you okay honey?" Natalie's mother, Ana, asked.

"Yes mama. I am not just comfortable but I am okay." Natalie replied.

"Just tell me what you need or eat. Wait, why is David and his family not here? They are the ones who benefited from the money paid to you." Carlo said. Natalie's father.

"Pa, the truth is David doesn't like what I did. He is still mad at me even though we got the money to help their business. " Natalie replied sadly.

"What? Is he still mad? You are the one who created a way to save their losing business. Your father and I feel sorry for you but we can't do anything. I hope you did not marry that man and finish your studies instead." Ana said. Carlo also nodded in agreement with his wife. Natalie felt worse.

Two weeks ago...

Natalie was holding Attorney Camille Vasquez's calling card on her way home. Her mother -in -law looked at her badly and threw the pack of clothes to her face.

"Where have you been? Did you go shopping? Instead of doing housework here? You are such a useless and worthless daughter in law!" Lara shouted. Natalie picked up the clothes and folded them. Later In the evening she told David about the lawyer's offer.

David frowned then shouted, "What? You will be a surrogate mother? Are you crazy? You will give birth to someone else's baby? Do you need to have sex with other man as well?"

"N-No, the lawyer explained to me the process all procedures will do at the hospital. They said they would just inject the semen and egg cells of the couple to my uterus and then it would form in my womb." Natalie explained.

"Even if! We haven't even had a child on our own yet!" David said and left their room. Natalie followed him to explain further. David's parents also came out of their room when they heard the commotions.

"What Happened? It's so late! Why are you two still shouting?" Lara said angrily.

"Because Natalie wants to bear a child for another couple!" David said angrily.

"You're such a crazy woman! You're a flirt! B*tch! Why did my son marry you?" Lara also shouted angrily.

"Take that B*tch back to their home! She is useless anyway! We don't need her!" Marlon said.

"Please listen to me first. I heard that your business is failing and losing money. I also know you don't want me for David so I'm working on a way to help. When I become a surrogate mother, I will receive payment for that." Natalie said while sobbing.

"Really? How much then?" Lara asked.

"The client said they are willing to pay me 50 million dollars once the process is successful." Natalie replied. Everyone was silent and looked at each other.

"What? 50 million dollars? Oh! Good! You are useful now to us. We will all agree to that! Right David? This is the answer to our problem. Go ahead and do that Natalie. Take the payment immediately and give it to us. Understand?" Lara said then she went back to their room followed by her husband. Natalie and David were left in the living room.

David did not answer and entered their room. Natalie slept sadly but she was determined to do what was agreed. After the successful procedure David's parents immediately took the money from the lawyer.

Golden land City International Hospital

Attorney Camille Vasquez entered Natalie's private hospital room. She carries a lot of food such as fruits, bread etc. Natalie sat up when she saw her.

"Attorney Camille you are here."

"Hello Natalie, all is good. All you have to do is relax. You don't have to pay anything here at the hospital so for nine months or less. You just have to stay here while you are pregnant. Ma'am and Sir don't want anything to happen to what you're carrying." Camille said while she was putting the grocery bags at the table.

"Does that mean my daughter can't go home?" Ana asked.

"That's right. The contract she signed would have been clear. She needs to stay here so the doctor can easily check her condition anytime. Also, Natalie I know you are married and pregnant already but you can't have sex with your husband or anyone for one year so there will no problems in the future. The child will be given a DNA Test when you give birth to check and in case it does not match the blood of Sir and Ma'am's then the 50 million dollars payment will be needed to return. " Attorney Vasquez said.

"Don't worry, your parents and husband are free to visit here, please try to not to have a stress so that you don't have a miscarriage. If you feel unwell, tell the nurse to call a doctor right away. VIP treatment is your status here so don't be shy. Every day you will get food, vitamins, etcetera. Stuff like maternity dress for you to use is also provided. Wait, where is your Husband? "H-He is busy at work." Natalie said. Camille immediately understood what was happening. Even then, she didn't seem to feel good about Natalie's in-laws. For her, they were only after money and they didn't even think about Natalie's condition.

The lawyer shook her head and then looked at Natalie's parents. She knew they were poorer than Natalie's in-laws but they didn't get any penny. She took Natalie's hand and smiled.

"Don't worry, I'll tell sir to give you an extra allowance so that your parents can get a fare to come here to accompany you."

"Thank you so much." Natalie cried.

"Don't cry. I admire what you can do for your husband and family. If Sir and Ma'am find out about it, I'm sure they will be touched too." Camille replied.

"I'm sorry but may I ask who your boss is?" Carlo asked

"I'm sorry they are private persons and the contract said that the couple's identity will remain secret and Natalie's identity too so they have no responsibility to each anymore after she gave birth but don't worry they are not bad people. The only problem they have is having a child so they choose a surrogate process." Camille said.

"Attorney, when Natalie gives birth, the baby will be taken immediately by the couple?" Ana asked.

"Ma, I told you it's not your grandchild." Natalie replied. Of all, her mother was the happiest because she was eager to have a grandchild.

"I just asked." Ana responded. Attorney Vasquez smiled, for her Natalie was the right surrogate mother because like her mother she is loving and willing to sacrifice for her loved ones.

"I will take the baby immediately but if Natalie's milk is needed, we will take the accumulated milk that will comes from her." the lawyer's answer.

"Thanks to your son's wife, we were able to recover the company." Marlon said. Lara frowned at her husband as she counted money at her desk. Only half of the money was deducted from their debts so there's much left.

"I still don't want her for David. By the way, where is David now?" Lara asked.

"I don't know, but he said he was going somewhere." Marlo replied while keeping the money in the safe box.

"Going somewhere? Where? To his wife?" Lara said.

He also doesn't like what Natalie did as a surrogate mother even though the payment is a lot of money because it will ruin her beautiful body and the thought of her having a baby for another man is annoying him.

"We will also get there, so don't be in a hurry. For now, let's have some fun together. Make me happy like you said so I can forget my wife." David replied. Amber tried to smile even though she was a little disappointed. She doesn't even want to be a mistress.
