Find out the aftermath of "The billionaire's revenge, it took a wrong turn".

Chapter 1 The beginning

"Quickly, call doctor Dave" Mr. Anderson, who was Willam's Smith right arm man, ordered the butler.

"what? Is the alarm ringing again? It has just been two days since the last doctor visited him. Why is he showing the signs again?" The butler asked as she quickly called the doctor.

" Where are you now, doctor? Can you come over to the house immediately? The alarm has started ringing" the butler said as soon as the doctor answered the call. She was shivering in fear and wished that nothing bad happened to Mr. Willam's Smith who was the owner of the house and her boss.

After his mother died years ago, Mr. Willam was the only survivor of his family which is addressed as the Smith family.

He was diagnosed with sickness. It was a heart disease that he constantly received treatment for as it refused to go entirely. From then till now he is 29 years old and has become a billionaire, he s still suffering from the illness which constantly reoccurs after some time, and each time it does, the next thing that happens to him is that he becomes unconscious meantime till he becomes stable and because no one knows when this could happen, they had the doctor install an alarm on him which he wears about as a watch and which alerts them on when the sickness was about shooting up for them to take care of him.

And today, just like the other times that the sickness shot up, the alarm had started to ring again.

He was in his study room looking over some files which he had asked Mr. Anderson, his assistant and right-arm man, to bring over to him. Suddenly, the alarm started to ring and Mr. Anderson ran up to ask the butler to call his doctor.

In the next 30 minutes, doctor Dave landed at the house and went over to check on him after which he administered some medicine to him and gradually, his heart began to stabilize again.

" What was he doing when this happened?" Doctor Dave asked.

" He was working," Mr. Anderson replied.

" Working? Did he take his medicine today and did he eat well at all today?" Doctor Dave asked.

" I don't know since I haven't been here since morning. Let me ask the butler and the maids" Mr. Anderson replied.

" Don't bother them. I'm fine now, right? Is there still a need for all that? ``William Smith asked, having gotten himself back a little bit.

" You didn't take your medicine? Or else, you shouldn't stop us from enquiring about that from the butler and the maids" Mr Anderson asked.

" You shouldn't do that again. You are still able to recover fast at this point because the heart disease hasn't reached its peak yet. And I would warn you not to ever skip your medicine or your meals.

They have been what has been holding you up till this moment and if you start to skip them now, I wonder what will become of you one day.

You might fall into a coma" Doctor Dave reprimanded looking sternly at Williams.

" I haven't skipped it before, it's just today that I did so," Williams replied.

" You should never do it again. It's risky" Doctor Dave replied as he finished administering medicine to him and started to pack his bag.

" You should have like three to four hours of rest before you can do anything" Doctor Dave added.

" What? Three to four hours of rest? I have a lot on my table to do. I'm not sure I have that kind of time to rest" Williams replied.

" Very well then, you can go ahead and do whatever you want to do and maybe when you die, you can continue with the work in the afterlife." Doctor Dave replied as he carried his bag and zoomed off.

He was so pissed off. Never since his five years of work as a doctor had he seen a patient like Mr. Willams who prefers work over his health. It is so difficult to deal with a patient like that.

He is so stubborn. Why would he have a doctor when he won't even listen to him? This was quite stressful. His only consolation is that he pays him well more than he should even be paid for the services he renders to him.

As soon as he left, Willams chuckled. He hates this condition of his health so much more than even those people that had killed his mother back then and that was because the sickness was a stumbling block to him. It kept drawing him back each time he wanted to move forward.

He had a great resolution in his heart to find out about those people who had killed his mother.

He wasn't aware of who his father was since his father died a month after his birth so he knew nothing about his father and only grew up with his mother who single-handedly trained him until her demise.

That night was the greatest nightmare for him and a memory he wished had never happened.

That night, his mother had finished sending him off to sleep when three masked men broke into their house.

He was asleep when he started to hear some unpleasant noises and by the time he woke up and headed toward the parlour, it was already too late. Lo and behold, his mother was lying in the pool of her blood.

He looked over only to see the three masked men who by now were approaching him.

" Aah!! Here he comes! Your mother loved you so much to death that she had to lie to us that you were not at home just to save your life. But too bad, here you are. We have to finish you off now before you tell us out." One of the men let out at the sight of him.

Chapter 2 Flash back

No! !!! He wasn't going to let himself be killed as well. If he allows that, it would only mean that his mum's effort at saving him was in vain and he wouldn't be able to pay those men back for what they have done.

So without thinking further, he jumped out of the window and ran as never before. He didn't even turn back or stop at any point.

He just kept running and running till he wasn't able to continue due to exhaustion and so he fell and fainted.

By the time he regained consciousness, he found himself in an unfamiliar place and he was lying on the bed. Just as he moved his body and tried to stand up, he was stopped.

"You can't do that now. Your leg is so weak and just recovering" the person who had stopped him said as he quickly looked up only to see a middle-aged woman sitting across him on the bed.

"Who are you? And where are mine? How did I get here?" Willams asked, his eyes popping out.

"There is no need to be that shocked, and I'll answer all your questions as well.

I'm, or will I say, my name is Sharon. You can address me as Madam Sharon and I'm a retired medical doctor.

I was on my way home when I spotted you lying flat on the ground. At first, I was so startled and didn't know what to do.

But then, I felt that I should do something which is why I brought you over to my house and treated you.

I think these have answered your question of how you got here and now, it's my turn to ask you questions" Madam Sharon replied.

As he burst into tears. He has just remembered the sight of his mother in the pool of her blood.

What would have become of her by now? And about the men, did they chase after him? Was he safe now, or was he also going to die?

"What is it? Why are you crying?" Madam Sharon asked.

" My mum... My mum..." Willams exclaimed as he intensified his tears.

"Your mum? What happened to her? Where is your house and why did you fall unconscious on the ground? Where were you going?" Madam Sharon asked.

"I need to contact the police immediately! My mum is lying dead in our house...... they wanted to kill me too, but then I fled" Williams replied hazily.

"Who are they and what is your house location so I would know what to tell the police," Madam Sharon asked.

"I don't know any of them. There were three, and they were putting on a mask so I didn't see their faces. My house address is....." Willams told her the location of the place.

"Very well then, I've just finished calling the police and they will be there a few moments from now. You should stay here and get some rest while I quickly go to your house. Don't leave the house. I'll be back soon" Madam Sharon replied as she quickly dressed up and left.

The house of the woman which he was staying in now, was so far from his house that he wondered how he had run to that town.

After that day, Willam's life never became the same again. At times, he blamed himself for his mother's death.

Her mother's corpse was taken to the mortuary after which she was buried the next day without even a reasonable funeral.

The investigation of who her killers were, died down after a while. Even though those men at that time had been confused that they were the ones that had killed his mum and wanted to kill him too, it wasn't enough evidence according to the persecutor that had handled the case and so the case was closed without even him receiving any compassion from anyone.

That was when he vowed to make it to the top and become so powerful and rich because back then, the case became a closed one. After all, the instigators of the murder were of a high class and powerful enough to have shut the mouths of the officers and prosecutors concerning the case.

For many years, Willams mourned the death of his mother and made sure to hold her funeral memorial.

Since he didn't have any place or anyone to go back then, and because the murderers of her mum could be at a sketch out for him as well, he decided to leave for overseas and vowed never to come back till he had made it to the top.

Madam Sharon gave him a helping hand by housing him for some time in her house and when he was leaving the country, she made sure to give him some pocket money and foodstuff.

"You should remember to stay in touch with me and please take good care of yourself. Only then will you be able to pay back those murderers for what they have done" That was what madam Sharon had told him back then while bidding him goodbye.

He also wasn't going to forget the woman in a hurry. She was his savior and a comforter to him and even till this moment he still kept in touch with her and she became his foster mother.

Life was not easy for him while overseas, especially for a young boy like him.

He took in all manner of jobs, and before he was able to get an apartment for himself, he spent his nights on the street then little by little, doors began to open for him and he got a really good job over there which he worked for some time before he became a boss and from there, rose to fame.

It's been five years now and he was already making plans to come back to his home country and take revenge on those who had killed his mother that was probably what got him going.

Chapter 3 The apartment

For the past two months, he has been planning with his men on going back and has even created a branch of his company in Chicago there and has asked one of his men to handle it till he comes back.

Today, he had wanted to finish his work over here which was why he was working on the files and that was because he wanted to head back to country Z on the first flight by tomorrow morning. But that wouldn't be possible again due to the current state of his health.

Just as his doctor said, he needed to have some rest. He wondered what had brought up the sickness this time around and it was at times like this that he so much dislikes himself for having such an illness like that.

He would just get some rest, then check his health for some time before he embarks on his journey of revenge.

With this, he laid down on the bed and slept off.

After graduating from the university, all the medical students of the YS university were to go for a one-year internship in any hospital of their choice which of course, is willing to take them in.

They were to leave in a month and regarding that, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred started to make plans for their daughter Ava Claire, to get accepted into Golden life's medical hospital for her internship.

They had connections everywhere and because of that, it wouldn't be hard to get their daughter into there.

"Ava, your father had put in some good words about you to Mr. Desmond so you would be going there with me tomorrow to submit your credentials" Mrs . Alfred announced to Ava as they were eating at the dining.

"Dad did what? And I am going with you tomorrow?" Ava asked, clenching her fist.

"I bet you wouldn't want me to repeat myself, would you? When will you hear me well?" Mrs. Alfred asked.

"But mum, isn't it time for you and dad to stop interfering in my life? Haven't you guys done enough?" Ava asked, tearing up.

"We have, and will continue to do so till we get what it is that we so desire from you" Mrs. Alfred replied as she chewed her food.

Ava dropped her chopsticks as she quickly stood up from the table.

"Where to? You're not done yet" Mrs. Alfred inquired.

"Sorry, I lost my appetite," Ava replied as she walked out there to her room upstairs.

She laid down on her bed and started to sob.

Would it have been good if she was born into a poor family? At least she would have had a dream unlike now when everything about her was dictated by her parents.

Her life from childhood till now. She has just come back from the university after graduation a few days back, which was also where they had sent her to study against the other medical university she had wanted to go to.

The only thing that they didn't change was her profession although they would have preferred it if she had become a businesswoman and of course, taken over from them.

At times she wonders if the power-hungry of things was so for every other rich family or if it was just her parents. They seem to be pursuing it too much even when they already have more than enough.

What will she do now? She had wanted to do her internship in a small clinic where there were many people to attend to, and fewer doctors available for them.

She wanted to experience caring for and saving human lives rather than just working for the money and the fame and that wouldn't be possible if she should get taken by Golden life's medical hospital.

Whenever her parents planned things for her, they always do it behind her back and come letting her know after it has already been concluded and by doing so, it will be hard and impossible for her to escape from it.

One thing was certain now, she isn't the little girl of yesterday. She is 22 years old now, and a grown-up. And because of that, she will find her way out of her parent's snares and find her own life.

She is not going to let them win again. Not in this one especially.

She quickly wiped off her tears and got up from the bed into her study room as she carried her laptop to search for any clinic that needed an intern.

She is going to apply to work there by herself, and get there herself too.

The next day as Mrs. Alfred got ready to take her daughter to the hospital as planned, she expected to see her sulking and in low spirits but that was the opposite of what she saw.

She had already gotten dressed in corporate attire and with her credentials in her hands as she walked in her direction.

"How do I look, mum? I hope they would love my appearance 'cause it is one of the ways to get appointed" Ava said beaming with a smile.

"You seem so happy today unlike when I told you about it yesterday. What could be the reason?" Mrs. Alfred asked.

" That's simple, I thought about it, and I found out it was all for good. A very rare opportunity that other doctors are on the lookout for" Ava replied.

"Wow! I'm glad you gave it a good thought. And about your appearance, you have no worries. Just by being my daughter, you have all the glow already" Mrs. Alfred replied.

" Well, I need mine too. I don't always have to depend on you and dad's" Ava replied.

"That's right dear, which is why you are at your best now" Mrs. Alfred replied as they entered the car and the driver zoomed off.

Reaching the hospital, there were a lot of people waiting but that wasn't for them since her mum had already booked an appointment with the owner and so they were let through the interview room.
