I beeped the doorbell as I licked on my lips, wetting it seductively while waiting to greet the heir to one of the richest families in the world as I pocketed the condom I had in my hand.

The mansion was always extremely cold so I was always in the mood to mingle.

Then I beeped at Claudia's door again, waiting for her response and she finally lets her door open.

I got in to see her in her nighties.

"Greetings." I greeted her thinking of how gorgeously looking she was in her night wear.

"Talon." She called as I ignored her, while pushing in the tire enhanced tray into the room, arranging it by her bedside before I turned to leave the bedroom, since I definitely wasn't her gist mate.

"You know it's not my fault that I am contracted to marry Edward." She said as she held my hand.

"I need to leave now." I said looking into her beautiful sparkling Hazel eyes.

"Do you even love me?" She asked, getting emotional as she held my arm.

"I do, but we need to stop this Claudia.'

"I will protect you, but I need to stay away from you." I said looking back at her as she walked closer to me with tears in her eyes.

Our lips slightly apart.

At this point, I only wanted to steal one last kiss.

I turned to leave but she dragged me back kissing me instead, causing me to get a hard-on.

My hormones fired up and I kissed her back.

How I wished, I could stop this.

"Claudia, we need to stop." I said separating myself from her addictive lips for a split second before continuing again.

"Stop this Talon!" I cursed in-between the kiss, unzipping her night gown as she dragged me towards the bed, speedily opening up my shirt buttons with our desire for each other getting stronger and even more pleasuring.

The feeling of having her secretly was crazy and intense, especially when her relatives were around without knowing what Claudia's lowly personal guard was doing with her alone.

It was dangerous to love someone of her family status and I was warned by my family but I couldn't resist her, no matter how I tried.

I was so much in love with her.

I was a personal guard in the Ontario mansion.

People feared Claudia because of her family too.

Her step mother had planned a contract marriage for her to marry into another wealthy family, and this was the reason our relationship was breaking.

"Claudia, I don't have money to offer to you, but tell me, do you really love me?" I asked her as I released myself from our intimate romance.

"You Love who!?" A Voice thundered in.

It's Madam Lilith.

I immediately left Claudia's body, putting on my boxers as I stared at Madam Lilith in her Full Aura.

"I will roast you alive for this." She threatened looking at me while my hardness stayed on still, embarrassing me in front of her.

My heart was beating like my life depended on it as Claudia immediately zipped up her nightwear standing up from where she leaned into.

"Mum, I can explain." She said walking to her mother.

"Pow!" Claudia received a slap from her step-mother before she carried the coffee I brought earlier for Claudia.

"Don't you dare touch me!" She said before splashing Claudia the hot coffee over her body.

"Talon!" Claudia called in pain looking at me as I stared back at her, shocked.

"Run!" She said as the hot coffee steam was evaporating out from her hair.

"You will not escape this... I swear on my life." Madam Lilith said, blocking the door before Claudia grabs her, paving a tight space which I used to escape from the room.

"Ahh!" I heard Claudia scream as Madam Lilith broke the coffee cup over Claudia's head.

Yep! There's no way I am going to survive this if she could do that to Claudia.

I ran through the mansion's chambers wondering if running was the solution before turning back to see Madam Lilith.

"Don't let him escape!" She said pointing at me.

Then the security men indoors pointed their guns towards me and I stopped raising my hand up into the air in fear.

My bulge created a hard print over my boxers, making me look like some pornstar.

I got hit with one of the guns and I fell to my knees.

"You filthy lowly dog, dared to touch my daughter." She said as she walked towards me, with her gown rampaging through the ground, giving her this dark Queen look.

"Make his bones beg!" She ordered.

The next thing I received were hard kicks and punches to my face and stomach.

They kept beating me mercilessly.

"Mum please." Claudia ran into the scene begging for me with the side of her head bleeding.

I was over the floor, whining in severe pain.

"Why?" She fired back.

"Tell me why I shouldn't finish him off now?" She roars.

"Mum you can't do that, we are adults here." Claudia begged.

"Oh Claudia, my daughter, I am sure that you know that there's nothing my money can't do." She said, looking into my eyes like a witch.

"I will eliminate him, and I will use my money to bury him in this compound so you can see what my wrath can do." She storms at Claudia.

"Look at him! He stinks with poverty, how can you love a lowly personal guard, because of his body looks?" She said to her furiously.

"I will end him and boil his bones for my evening tea, and no one can do anything about it, not even the president of the country can help you." She blasts out words at Claudia and the security continues to beat me like some punching bag.

I received another punch to my face causing me to throw out blood over the floor from my mouth.

Maybe this was what I deserved.

"Madam Lilith." I called.

"Please." I cried to her.

"Let the wretched fowl speak." She ordered and the security men held me like an animal as I stared at her, with blooding dropping out of my lips.

"I let the freedom I enjoyed here make me do things I wasn't supposed to do, please forgive me." I begged in tears as blood kept dropping out of my mouth.

"I need this security job to pay for my mother's heart cancer treatment." I cried to her before getting another punch to my face.

"Oh shut up!" She orders.

"You're the reason, Claudia has refused to marry Edward Antonio, for all these months that I struggled to convince her." She said to me In rage before she arranged her hair.

"Madam Lilith, please." I begged.

"Make him feel my pain!" She ordered again and the men grabbed me, using their guns to beat me.

"Mother please, I love him." Claudia cries.

"Alright! if you love him and his filthy life, then you must accept to marry Edward Antonio, then maybe I will spare his life." She said to Claudia who looked at her shocked as the rest of the family members gathered all around the scenery.

I nodded a no to Claudia.

I loved her and I was never in support of her marriage with him.

"You promised me." I murmur to her.

We had made promises never to give up on each other no matter what happens.

I guess this is why I am being punished now.

"Okay then, since you want to taste my patience, this poor goat will lose his life now!" She shouts.

"Crack your weapons!" She orders and the security men who surrounded me cracked their guns, pointing them all around me.

"Prepare to fire!" She orders.

Talons - [P.O.V]

So this was how I would die? With nothing to offer to my family that really needed me.

I felt like I had failed them.

I cried as I closed my eyes waiting for my death.

"Fire!" She commands.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Okay, I would marry Antonio mum, please just spare him." Claudia shouted in tears as she held her mother's legs in pain.

"Don't take his life, I will marry Antonio." She bitterly cried as she held onto her mother's legs.

"You would marry him?" She asked.

"Yes, if you let Talon go." Claudia cried more.

"I really need this job ma." I begged back as Claudia turned to look at me surprised that I probably dared to still want to stay.

"Oh really." Madam Lilith said, taking a step towards me.

"You want me to forgive you so that you can ruin the future of my family business?" She asked me as she held onto my bloody jaw.

"No ma'am." I murmured back.

"You're fired!" She said with her eyes digging into my poor soul before she threw my face roughly away from her.

Those words broke me into pieces because today was my payday and I needed the money to pay my own mother's hospital medical bills.

"How about my salary, today is my payday ma'am." I begged her as I was dragged away.

"You will get nothing, now throw this failure out from my house!" She roared as she kicked Claudia away from her legs.

"You all saw what just happened here today right?" She asked the entire family as she folded her hand together like a good lady.

"If any one of you snitches..." She said, smiling back at them like a demon.

"I don't care who snitches though, because it won't affect me." She added.

"All I know is that I will block all of your banking accounts nevertheless and you will all lose your inheritance." She roared at the house as they took me away.

I was thrown over the road outside the mansion.

I got up only to see missed calls from my mother.

I called back weakly.

"Talon, it's mum, she's in pain." Evan said to me.

I deeped the phone back into my pockets as I shot a great race to save my mother's life.

I wondered how I would tell her that I couldn't get my salary to pay for her health.

I cried to know how she would feel knowing that.

The pains banging through my body was like a storm.

But I kept running as fast as I could.

I had nothing on me but if it meant that I would give my mother my heart then I would do that.

I finally reached home.

My heart was beating like a frightened animal.

I grabbed the curtains, Using it to cover my injured body.

I didn't want my mother to see my injuries.

I looked at the ground to see my blood staining the floor as I took some more steps reaching into the room.

Then I saw Evan holding our old woman in his arms.

"The pain has stopped my son." She said to Evan taking a glass of water before sitting up and then her eyes set on me.

The glass cup on her hand falls to the ground.

"Talon?" She called as she stood up.

Evan turned back to look at me confused.

"Talon, are you okay?" She asked as she walked towards me and before she held the curtains.

"I'm fine." I lied.

"What is this?" She asked as I looked at the curtain to see that it had betrayed me.

The curtain was white in colour and my blood had stained the entire curtain in return as I looked into her eyes.

She opened the curtain and tears filled my mother's eyes.

"Ahhh..." She said taking steps back towards her bed pointing her finger towards me.

"Talon, who did this to you?" Evan asked.

"I'm okay, I got into trouble, not a big deal." I said to him, trying to pretend.

"Why are you lying, speak!" Evan blasts at me in return.

"I and Claudia got into trouble." I confessed to him.

"But I thought I warned you about having anything to do with her!? Why didn't you listen!" Evan said angrily.

"Okay fine! Where is your salary?" He asked me calmly.

Tears drop down from my eyes as I greet my teeth.

"I was fired." I replied to him and his lips split open.

"Hah! Then we need to go back and beg them." He said with tears filling his eyes as he walked past me, standing at the door, his emotions flooding his thinking.

"Talon, my heart is hurting, we need that money today, I can help you beg her." My mother said as she grabbed my hand leading me out of the house.

Technically, the woman I called mother was in her fifties with an old granny look.

She took care of me and Evan.

She was amazing, she loved us.

Kids who weren't even her real kids.

"Let's go Evan." She said to him as she dragged me.

She loved and cherished us like we were hers.

Evan was an orphan she adopted.

While I was a kid who lost his memories that she found and loved as though I was hers.

The curtains over me fell into the ground as I managed with my energy heading back to the Ontario family's mansion.

My salary was our last hope.

Her health and our feeding all together depended on it.

I stopped on my way there.

"Talon, let's go!" Evan yells.

"I can't." I said to him.

"Why are you so selfish huh?" He immediately slams at me.

"She took care of us since we were kids and now you want her to die?" Evans said before he drops a punch over my mouth causing me to bleed even more.

He was the type that couldn't control his temper.

"Okay now, I don't care anymore, let me lose my life, if that's the price." I said till we reached the gates.

"What are you doing here, it's like you want madam to deal with you?" One of the security men said, looking at me.

"Don't be cruel, let them in." Mr. Antonio said and we immediately entered the compound.

I looked at the bald man who was picked to marry my lovely Claudia because I don't have money.

"You shouldn't do that." Madam Lilith warns him as she walks out of the house and turns to look at us.

Then the entire family began to gather around as well.

I could hear them gossiping.

"You hurt my son, how could you madam Lilith." My mother said as she walked towards her.

I feared she was going to slap Madam Lilith.

Our coming looked like I brought my mum and brother to come and beat up the people that hurt me.

Funny right?

But it was my sad irony.

She reached closer to madam Lilith who I guess was thinking that she was going to get slapped as well.

Then my mother falls to the ground on her knees.

My lips split open in shock as I stared at her turn to look at both I and Evan who stood behind her.

"Go on your knees foolish boys." She said to us weakly and I and Evan slowly went on our knees.

"Please madam Lilith, my son Talon is young, he makes mistakes but he is still my son and he worked for you for three months, hence today, which is supposed to be his payday... You beat him up and fired him." She said looking at Madam Lilith eyes in return.

"And I will set him on fire if I get provoked!" Madam Lilith threatens my mother who places her hand over madam Lilith's shoes as her tears fall over it.

"I did not come here to provoke you." She said looking down.

"I only came because we need the money for my health." She added as tears dropped out from her eyes.

"You see, I am sick, so please, just pay my son his salary so we can go." She begs her.

"Get off her shoes, you sick thing!" Mr. Edward Antonio said using his shoe to push my mother away and she fell to the ground bruising her face.

"Indeed she is an old sick thing, just take a look at their entire rat looking family." Madam Lilith curses, staring at my mother who struggles over the ground to get back in order.

The disrespect to her felt painful in my bones.

"My own mother!" I was ready to fight.

I got up but then Evan rushed at Edward in anger, with a punch blessed by my entire fire.

Talon's - [P.O.V]

He landed a heavy punch over Mr. Edward's face.

Mr. Edward fell to the ground bleeding from his nose.

He broke his nose.

"Don't you ever hurt her, she is my mother." Evan threatened before a security man came to beat him up.

"You and your entire family will regret that with your lives." Edward threatens back.

I rushed into the scene, protecting Evan.

I fought back using my energy but the men were too much.

"Evan, protect our mother." I said to him and he headed to her.

The security men began beating me thoroughly.

"Please don't take my son's life." She cried watching as they kept beating me like an animal.

"Ah!" She cried holding her chest.

"Ha!" She begins to choke for air.

"Heart attack." Evan cries out, holding her.

"It's about to rain, throw them out!" Madam Lilith orders as they carry us, throwing us out from the gate.

I managed to pick my mother up.

She needed the hospital now.

I placed her over my back as I ran through the estate's slippery road with Evan, as she choked for her life while Evan used his shirt to cover her hair from the rain.

"Mama..." I cried holding her to myself.

"Please don't die." I cried as I ran through the rain.

She was my only world and I wasn't ready to lose her.

The pain could finish me... It could end me.

The rain soon stops.

We entered the hospital.

My blood was dripping non stop over the floor as I felt my energy depreciating in return.

The nurses rushed to us - taking my mother from me.

I and Evan followed them before we got stopped.

It's her doctor.

"Have you gotten the money yet?" He asked.

"I will get it." I and Evan said it at the same time.

"You both have to be fast, she needs to commence heart surgery and the money is needed for her blood transfusion or she might lose her life this time." The female doctor said and I and Evan stared at each other.

"Okay boys, I can help but you must not inform the hospital management okay." She whispers to us.

"Yes ma, what do we have to do?" I said to her.

"I will use the hospital loan money to help your mother but then you both need an additional $15,000 dollars to complete her blood transfusion, can you provide that?" She asked.

"I think there's a way I could try." I said to her and she smiled before she hugs me and Evan before she turns leaving.

I think she could see the mystery we were going through and her hug at least made me think straight.

"Where?" Evan asked me sternly.

"How would you get that huge amount of money, Talon?" He asked as his eyes got reddened.

"How?" Evan asked as he began to cry.

I grabbed his hand.

"Trust me, I will find a way Evan." I said as I hugged him holding my tears in, so he can be strong.

"You have to trust me." I said to him.

"Let us do it like this okay?" I said to him as I released him.

"Go home, find anything valuable we can sell to raise up the money, while I will go to my friend krus and ask him for help, okay?" I said to him and he nodded in response.

I took a step away from him before I turned, running my hand through my hair as I ran as fast as I could, from one street to the other till I had found Krus staying in a dark corner of one of the building's walls.

"Talon what's up?" He asked, looking at my body.

"My brother, I need your help." I said to him.

"What's up, tell me, who hurt you?" He asked.

"Forget guy." I said running my hand through my hair.

"I need money right now." I said looking at him.

"How much?" He asked.

"$15,000." I said looking at him as he looked away, seeming not interested in what I had to say.

"I can do anything you want Krus, just help me, it's for my mother's life." I said to him as tears filled my eyes.

Somehow I was sure he could help in a way.

I and Krus had a serious history together. When I was much younger, he introduced me into a gang where I was taught how to use weapons, sell drugs and how to express extreme violence, before I was taken in by my foster mother and repented for the better good.

I used my gangster training to get a personal security job in the Ontario family.

That was how I got to meet Claudia.

"Please." I begged him zooming out of my thoughts.

"Okay, follow me." He said and I followed him till we were finally inside his room.

He lights up his cigarettes before opening up a box.

I looked to see a blue glowing transparent stone inside the box, wondering what it was.

"What's that!" I asked him.

"Nothing." He stated before standing back up.

"You want to save your mum's life, right?" He asked.

"Yes, I do." I said, cleaning my tears.

"Good, all you need to do is to deliver this box to my guys at the train bridge and they will pay you... They are Bona's guys, so don't be scared, you are safe." He said to me.

"That's all?" I asked.

"Nope, you can use this to protect yourself." He said while giving me a gun and I dropped it over the table back in return.

I had to go gangster mode for the sake of my mother, she was worth it.

"Can you atleast help me with any cash?" I asked him and he looked at me annoyed.

"Do this job now, or you can fuck off " He said, pointing towards his door, unconcerned even so he knew how important it was to me.

I picked the box and he looked at me surprised.

"I'll deliver it." I said, carrying the gun from his table before I ran off from his place.

I ran as fast as I could.

Because I knew that no matter the pain that I felt now... It can't be compared to the pain that I would feel if I lost my mother.

I would rather lose my life than let her down.

So I ran with the box in my hand.

But then! Vroom!

Something thick sweeps off the ground.
