Chapter 1 The house

Chapter 1

Alyana stood silently in front of her mother's grave, her eyes swollen and her face flushed.

"Mother, why did you leave me? It hurts so much," she said, placing her finger near her heart as a single tear fell from her weary eyes. It seemed like she had cried all she could, and now only a few tears remained.

"It should have been me, not you. Mother, it was my fault. I should be the one lying there, not you," her hand trembled as she gently touched the engraved name of her departed mother on the tombstone.

"Mother, please take me with you. I want to be with you. I promise, Mother, even if we're there, we'll still look after Father. Mother, I'm begging you, just take me with you."

The young woman sat down beside the grave, resting her head on it, looking up at the sky. After a while, she heard someone calling her name.

"Alyana, my child?"

She sighed deeply and turned to see her father. "Father, I still want to be with Mother."

When her father finally reached her, he gently helped her stand up.

"Let's go, my child. You need to rest. You've been here for a while now. Look, your eyes are swollen."

"But Father-"

"Come on, your mother wouldn't be happy if she saw you crying non-stop. Let's go home, my child."

Alyana sighed once more, and before they left, she glanced back at the grave and bit her lip.

"I love you so much, Mother."

Alyana's Point of View

"Father, please let me stay here. I don't want to go to Manila. I don't want to leave Mother," I pleaded with my eyes, looking at him.

I had insisted on staying here in the province several times, but Father seemed determined not to agree.

"My child, this place is dangerous for you. As much as it pains us to leave the place where you were born, it's necessary."

Tears began to well up in my eyes again. "W-what about Mother? How can we visit her grave if we're so far away?"

"Don't worry, we'll come back for your mother. Losing her was heavy on my heart, but I can't show that to you. Alyana, I'm the only one you have now, and I can't let you see how deeply I'm hurting over what happened to your mother. As a father, it's my responsibility to ease the pain in your heart. I can't bear to see my only princess in such pain."

I hugged Father tightly and sobbed softly. I'll try. I'll try to be strong for you, Father.

When I pulled away from the hug, I immediately asked, "Are you sure about your decision? Will we be okay there?"

"You have nothing to worry about, my child. We'll be staying with an old friend of mine. He's a kind and helpful man. I'm sure we'll be safe there, especially you."

I don't know why, but my heart was pounding, and I had a bad feeling I couldn't explain.

For now, I'll trust Father. I hope... I hope we'll find peace there.

My eyes widened in awe as I looked at the towering buildings we passed by. It was so different from the province. There were hardly any trees in sight, mostly buildings. The city was beautiful; now I understand why my childhood friends would boast about their experiences whenever they visited the city.

Even though I was amazed by the surroundings, I didn't show it. They might think I'm just an ignorant girl from the province. I scratched my head, but that's the truth.

Father looked at me when I suddenly yawned. "Get some sleep, my child. The journey is long, and you'll probably get sleepy. I'll wake you up when we arrive."

I just nodded in response. I could already feel my eyelids getting heavy, and I was sure that in a few minutes, I'd fall asleep.

As Father said, he woke me up when we reached our destination.

"Alyana, my child, we're here. Get your things ready."

I looked at the large bag I was holding. I had another bag slung over my back, but it wasn't heavy. I only had a few things, so I wouldn't have trouble carrying them.

When I finally got out of the vehicle, a few people immediately approached us. They helped us with our things, including the large bag I had been holding earlier.

I looked up and gasped when I saw the entire house-mansion. It was huge and elegant. I used to only see houses like this in movies, but now it's right in front of me.

I hope I don't get lost in here.

Someone was approaching me, an older maid. Her gaze was fixed on my bag, and when she got closer, she asked for it.

"I'll take care of your bag, so I can put it in your room."

"Thank you."

The woman looked up and stared at my face in shock. I'm not sure, but I could see fear and anxiety in her expression, though awe was more evident.

"You're such a beautiful child, dear."

I smiled shyly because I didn't know how to respond.

The woman left with my bag and invited us inside. If the house looked beautiful and elegant from the outside, it was even more so inside. I wanted to pinch my own cheek to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

A man greeted us and hugged my father. This must be the Don Alessandro he mentioned. Although he was older, it didn't show in his physical appearance. He was still well-built and handsome. If Father hadn't told me that this man in front of us was his childhood friend, I would've thought he was only in his 30s. They were the same age, but if I were to compare, Don Alessandro was more handsome.

Don Alessandro turned his gaze to me, and I saw the surprise in his eyes. "Is she the daughter you were talking about, Reynaldo?"

"Yes, she is."

Nervous as I was, I managed to speak. "Good day, Don Alessandro."

"Don't call me Don, dear. Just call me Uncle, Uncle Sandro."

I nodded slowly. "I'll get used to calling you Uncle."

He looked at Father and grinned teasingly. "How can I believe that you are the biological father of this gorgeous girl? Pft Reynaldo, it seems she only got her eyes from you," and with that, he burst out laughing, patting Father's shoulder.

Father looked like the sky and earth had just fallen on him. "Stop it, Alessandro Salvatore. It's obvious she inherited her looks from my beloved wife."

I froze.

I felt tears welling up in my eyes again when I heard that and remembered my late mother. When Don Alessandro noticed, his face turned serious again.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Reynaldo," he then turned to me, "and also to you, Alyana."

For a moment, the three of us were silent until Don Alessandro-Uncle Sandro-spoke again.

"I know you're tired from the journey. Let's eat together. I've prepared a lot of food for you."

The Don walked ahead while my father and I followed behind him. We hadn't even fully reached their kitchen yet when the delicious aroma of the food being served hit us. I couldn't deny that I was already feeling hungry from the journey.

There were many lined-up servants, all standing at the side of the long table in front of us. There were plenty of vacant seats and a lot of dishes spread out on the table. Aren't they going to eat?

I nudged my father, who was standing right next to me, and whispered, "Aren't they going to eat?" I pointed to the servants at the side.

It seemed like the Don heard me, as he let out a soft laugh.

"Do you want them to join us, dear?"

Without thinking, I nodded.

"Alright then, Manang, join us here, all of you."

The servants looked at each other and didn't move from their positions until the Don spoke again, and only then did they approach the table.

I quietly devoured the food on my plate. It seemed like I would eat a lot today because almost everything on the table was my favorite. Silence enveloped the table until the Don broke it.

"Your name is Alyana Blierre, right, dear? Tell me if I'm mistaken."

I reached for the glass in front of me and took a sip before I spoke, "Yes, that's right."

I noticed that everyone was looking at me, which made me feel shy.

"How old are you again?"

"I'm just about to turn eight years old."

"Oh, I see..." He turned to my father, "Your arrival here is perfect. This place is ideal for her debut celebration."

My eyes widened at what I heard.

"Please don't go to any trouble. I'm okay with a simple celebration as long as I'm with my father, and you as well."

The Don smiled.

"Such a good child, quite different from your father when we were young."

"Don't ruin my reputation with my child, Sandro," my father said with a laugh, causing the Don to laugh as well.

"What? I'm just telling the truth, you were totally a brat when we were kids."

"That was then, I'm a decent person now."

The Don just shook his head and turned back to me.

"What grade are you in now, Alyana?"

"I'll be starting my first year of college this coming school year, Don."

"I told you, dear, stop calling me Don. Call me Tito or Daddy instead. You're family here."

I nodded slowly and continued eating, but after just three more bites, I paused again.

"I'll be the one to finance your education, dear. Reynaldo and I already discussed it, and the necessary papers have been prepared."

I looked at the Don in surprise, though still hesitant, and shook my head.

"I'm already grateful that you're letting my father and me stay here. It would be too much if you also took care of my education."

"No, Alyana, I've already made my decision. I'm not taking it back."

I didn't know what to say, feeling a mix of joy and nervousness. Joy because I could continue my studies, and nervousness because I couldn't imagine what my future would be like outside. I've been homeschooled since I started high school.

"This is an overwhelming help for me. Don't worry, once I get a job, I'll be the one to help you," I said in a lengthy speech and smiled warmly at him.

"Don't worry about that. I'm not asking for anything in return. Besides, I wasn't able to fulfill my role as your godfather years ago. This is Tito's way of making up for it. As for your safety, I'll take care of that as well."

My father was right; Don Alessandro is very kind. I'm now eager to meet his children. My father told me that he has two children, both older than me. I hope they're as kind as the Don.

Chapter 2 incident

Chapter 2

"Just leave it on the side, I'll take care of it."

We were currently arranging the things in what would be my room. After lunch, a maid offered to accompany me here and even helped with the unpacking. She was the older lady from earlier.

I stopped what I was doing and turned to her, "By the way, what's your name?"

It just dawned on me that we've been together for almost half an hour, and I still didn't know how to address her.

"My name is Lorena, dear, but you can just call me Manang Lora. That's what everyone, even the Don, calls me here."

"Can I call you Nanay Lora instead? I don't feel comfortable calling you 'Manang,' and besides, we're just staying here as guests."

"Oh, your father and the Don have been friends since they were kids, so you're not strangers here. You're my master too."

I frowned, "Please, let me call you Nanay Lora. I'd feel much more comfortable calling you that."

I even made a pleading face at her. After some persuasion, she finally agreed.

"Nanay Lora, I wanted to ask you something."

"What is it, dear?"

I sat on the nearby bed and faced Nanay Lora, who had her back to me, "Where is the Don's wife?"

She paused at my question, then turned to face me with a sad smile. "Doña Isabel is no longer with us, dear. She passed away three years ago. The Don and Doña's children won't be home until later."

Shock quickly registered on my face. Driven by curiosity, I couldn't help but ask, "What was the cause of Doña's d-death?"

"An accident. It was an accident, dear, but before that incident happened, the Don discovered that his greatest enemy planned to kill his wife. The Don tried to stop Doña, but it was too late. We only heard about the explosion of the airplane that Doña Isabel was on."

D-Doña was murdered?

I covered my mouth and began to cry upon learning this. Nanay Lora immediately came over and stroked my hair.

"Why are you crying, dear? Hush now. Doña wouldn't want anyone crying in her home."

I couldn't help but hug Nanay Lora. She hugged me back tightly, and I couldn't stop myself from being emotional at this moment.

"I-I just remembered my m-mother. It was a different incident from what happened to Doña, b-but they were both k-killed."

"Shh, hush now. I know how heavy your heart feels right now, but don't give up, child. Wherever your mother is now, I know she's in a better place. She hasn't left you because she'll always be here," she pointed to my heart.

"It's my fault that she died. If it weren't for this face, my mother would still be alive..."

I harshly rubbed my face with my hands, "She would still be with us. I-I saw it, Nanay Lora, I saw how my mother was killed just to save me from men who wanted to harm me. I saw it clearly, how the blood-"

I couldn't continue and broke down in sobs. I didn't know if this wound in my heart would ever heal. The pain was unbearable, overwhelmingly so.

She lifted her hand to wipe the tears from my cheek, "You are not to blame, dear, not at all. Your mother did what was right, and she did it out of her deep love for you. If you blame yourself, it's like blaming her too. Your mother would only find it harder to see you in this state. Calm down, my child."

She kept stroking my head. While I managed to calm down again, my heart still felt heavy.

"I promise, I'll be strong for my mother and father," Nanay Lora smiled at what she heard and hugged me again. After a few seconds, she pulled away and spoke.

"Alright, you've had a long journey, so you need to rest. I'll leave you here for now, and I'll wake you up when it's time to eat. Your eyes are swollen, and your face is still red. Remember, you're not alone, okay? I'm here, and don't hesitate to come to me whenever you need someone to talk to."

"Why are you so kind to me?" I asked suddenly, which made her laugh.

"Because you have a good heart, dear. Now, go and rest."

"Th-thank you."

It took a while before I finally fell asleep. I only woke up when I felt someone gently tapping my cheek.

I opened my eyes and was greeted by Nanay Lora's smiling face, "Dear, it's time to eat."

I nodded while yawning, "What time is it, Nanay Lora?"

"Oh, it's already seven in the evening, Alyana. I tried waking you up earlier for a snack, but you were in such a deep sleep."

I looked down in embarrassment, making her chuckle softly.

"I know you must be hungry, so let's go. Your father and the Don are waiting downstairs. Señorita Blythe and the Señorito should be arriving soon as well."

"A-are they as kind as the Don?" I asked without thinking.

She smiled at me, "Señorita Blythe is spoiled and a bit mischievous, but she's kind and affectionate, so I'm sure you two will get along."

"And what about the Señorito?"

She hesitated at my question.

"Why?"

"A-Alyana, you wouldn't want to meet the Señorito." Though puzzled, I remained silent.

"I'll just say this, Alyana-avoid him. It's not unlikely that you might catch the Señorito's attention." Nanay Lora's voice grew fainter, so I didn't catch her last words.

"W-what?"

"Just forget about it, dear. Come on now."

I couldn't understand her. Why would Nanay Lora want me to avoid the Señorito? Why?

I couldn't help but think negative thoughts. Is the Señorito a bad person?

We were still on the stairs, but Nanay Lora and I could already hear the noise from below-a woman's voice, which I assumed belonged to Señorita Blythe.

I let Nanay Lora enter the dining area of this mansion first while I stayed behind her. As soon as we entered, I immediately noticed a beautiful woman. I couldn't help but be amazed when I saw her entire face; she was stunning.

They were laughing and teasing each other. When they noticed our presence, they quickly turned their attention to me.

"Oh... My... God..."

I unconsciously looked at the Señorita, who was staring at my face with evident shock. Her mouth was slightly open. I just smiled at her.

"I-Is she your daughter, Uncle Reynaldo?" asked the Señorita, not taking her eyes off me. I felt my cheeks turn bright red from embarrassment.

I glanced at Uncle Sandro, who was trying to suppress his laughter. "Yes, she is, sweetheart. She's your Uncle Reynaldo's only daughter."

The Señorita stood up and ran toward me. When she got close, she took both of my hands. I suddenly felt shy because I could smell her perfume and her natural scent.

"Are you for real?!"

I nodded at her, laughing, and then looked at my father, who was watching us happily.

Nanay Lora was right; the Señorita was very charming.

"You're a goddess!" she exclaimed, pouting slightly before looking at her father. "Daddy, why didn't you tell me there's a gorgeous lady in our house?! I could've come home early!"

Tito Sandro just laughed at his daughter's behavior and shook his head.

"Good evening, Señorita," I greeted her, and she smiled at me, guiding me to sit beside her.

"It's Blythe. Don't call me that anymore because, starting today, we're besties."

"Sweetheart, don't rush my goddaughter. Let her get comfortable with you first."

"Oh, sorry! But Daddy, I really like her already. Whether she likes it or not, we're BFFs now, and you can do nothing about it," she said proudly, causing her father to shake his head again.

"My daughter Alyana is very quiet, Blythe. I'm not sure if you'll get along."

"It's okay, Uncle, not a problem for me. I like quiet people."

If the dining table was quiet this morning, it was now lively because of Blythe. She kept talking to me while we ate, even though her father kept trying to stop her, but she wouldn't be silenced.

After dinner, we moved to the large living room in the mansion. Blythe was seated to my right, her arms wrapped around mine. In front of us were Tito Sandro and my father, both laughing at the girl beside me.

"Why are you guys staring at me like that?"

"You're being so clingy to Alyana."

She frowned at her father. "This behavior of mine depends on my mood, you know. Tomorrow, I won't be like this, I promise. She's just so, so, so pretty."

Tito Sandro was about to say something when we all turned to the door simultaneously. A tall man had just entered.

"Son, you're here! Where are you going? Don't you want to eat first?" Son? Is he the Señorito?"

He stopped walking but didn't turn to face us; his gaze remained fixed ahead. Although he was slightly turned away from us, it was undeniable that he had a strong presence. I hadn't even seen his full face yet, but I knew he was extremely handsome "I'm full."

I felt a chill run down my spine when I heard his voice. It was baritone and very cold. I also noticed the cold aura surrounding him, and for some reason, my heart started pounding faster. Suddenly, I felt nervous.

He started walking again without even glancing at his father. I exhaled in relief and adjusted my seat.

"Don't mind him; he's always been like that."

I nodded at Tito Sandro and gave an awkward smile.

"Yeah, Dad is right. Anyway, that's my big brother Alejandro, and he's a jerk."

"Blythe, watch your mouth. He's still your brother."

"Never mind. Uhm, by the way, Uncle Reynaldo, I wanted to ask for your permission... Uhm, would you allow Alyana to go shopping with me tomorrow? Don't worry, she'll be safe with me. Please

Chapter 3 Surprised

Chapter 3

I was surprised and looked at Blythe, who was smiling at me.

The girl beside me gave puppy eyes to both Itay and Uncle Sandro. With nothing left to say, Itay just sighed. "Do I have a choice?"

The Señorita squealed and quickly approached Itay, kissing him on the cheek.

"You're so kind and handsome, Uncle!"

"Oh, stop with the flattery. Just make sure to be careful on your trip, okay? Daughter, don't stray too far from Blythe. You're not yet familiar with Manila."

"I assure you, Tito, I'll take good care of Alyana."

Tito Sandro interrupted, "And you will bring your bodyguard with you."

"What?! We've already talked about this, right? I already told you I don't need some boring old man following us wherever we go. Do you really want to see my hair turn gray from the stress your men give me? That would be torture for me, Daddy!"

"Stop being hardheaded, Blythe. I know what you did to your previous bodyguards," he said, narrowing his eyes at her.

"I think I know where Blythe gets it from, Sandro."

"Shut up, Reynaldo."

Itay smirked and shrugged.

"Ah, uhm, I can e-explain, Daddy."

"No need for that. I know everything. You threatened and blackmailed them into quitting, right, sweetheart?"

"That's not true!"

"Yes, it is true, but not this time."

Blythe frowned, irritation clear on her face. "What do you mean?"

"You'll meet him tomorrow, and he will be your personal bodyguard. For now, you two need to rest. Go to your rooms now; Reynaldo and I have to talk."

Blythe's face was unreadable as we walked away from Itay. I didn't say anything, sensing that her mood was already ruined.

When we reached her room door, Blythe turned to me.

I was puzzled because she seemed okay now and was even smiling.

"Are you still mad at Uncle Sandro?"

"That was just an act, and don't tell him, okay? I'm a bit annoyed, but I'm not mad at him. Well..."she tapped her hair. "Daddy will have a hard time winning over Blythe tomorrow, and he'll have no choice but to do whatever I want."

"So, good night now, pretty babe. Have sweet dreams! See ya!" She kissed my cheek.

I laughed at her antics. Just a moment ago, we didn't even know each other, but now it felt like we'd been close friends for a long time. I smiled at her and said goodnight as well.

As I headed to my room, my heart suddenly started pounding faster, as if I could feel two pairs of eyes watching my every move.

I walked quickly. I hadn't even fully turned the doorknob when someone spoke behind me.

"Who are you?"

My knees weakened as I faced the one who spoke.

Our bodies were so close that I could smell his masculine cologne. I only reached his shoulder, and his large frame made me feel even smaller. I wasn't mistaken-Señorito was extremely handsome. There wasn't a single flaw on his face; it was so perfect, even his jaw was slightly moving and tensing.

I took a step back. "S-Senorito..."

His gaze was intense, piercing through me. I clasped my hands together, cold and sweaty. There was something different in the way he looked at me.

"Tsk, nevermind," he turned away from me quickly, leaving me breathless. It was only then I realized I had been holding my breath while he was in front of me. I placed a hand on my heart, which was still racing.

In the middle of my sleep, I felt the hairs on my body stand on end. It was as if someone was staring at me. A hard object gently stroked my cheek, then moved to my hair. I tried to open my eyes, but I couldn't. I also couldn't move my hands or feet. My mind was awake, but my body was asleep.

What's happening to me?

"Rise and shine, Sleepyhead!"

I slowly opened my eyes and was greeted by Blythe's smiling face.

"Oh my God, you sleep like a log. I've been here for a while, psh!"

I rubbed my eyes softly and sat up.

I looked at her with curiosity when I realized something.

"How did you get in here?"

"It was already open. I thought it was locked, so I asked Manang Lora for your room key," she said, raising her hand to show the key she was holding.

How was it open? I clearly remember locking the door last night. I swallowed hard. Is there a ghost here? And was my dream last night caused by a ghost too?

I shook off the thought.

"Hey, you okay?"

I scratched the back of my head, "Maybe I just forgot to lock it."

"I want to give you a lecture right now, but I think my conscience won't let me. Ugh, you're using your charm on me. Let's go, I'm getting hungry too."

I pouted, "You were so loud earlier."

"I had to be! I've been trying to wake you up for almost freaking 20 minutes! Can you imagine that? My bangs are stressed out."

Bangs? She doesn't even have bangs.

"Oh, don't give me that look. Whatever, bangs or not. Let's go!"

I couldn't argue anymore and just let her pull me along.

When we went downstairs, my father greeted me, kissed my forehead, and Don gave me a beso. I felt embarrassed, remembering I hadn't brushed my teeth because the girl beside me rushed me.

"Good morning, ladies. How was your sleep?"

"Good morning, Uncle Sandro. It was fine."

I glanced at Blythe, who remained silent. She was serious about what she said last night.

Tito Sandro shook his head, "Looks like my Blythe is mad at me." He sighed when his daughter ignored him.

Blythe pulled me and sat me in the same spot as yesterday.

"You said last day you wanted to hang out with your friends? Alright, I'm now giving you my approval. I'll give you one week, and you are free to go wherever you want."

Blythe's face suddenly lit up.

"Really, Dad?!"

"But with your personal bodyguard, of course."

"Okay, fine! But can I take Alyana with me?"

"Ask your Uncle Reynaldo, dear. I don't have the right to answer that question."

My father looked at me, "Do you want to go with Blythe, Anak? I know you're not used to crowded places."

I nodded slightly. I also wanted to get used to being outside, especially since the start of classes was approaching.

My father looked at me with concern, so I gave him a small smile to reassure him that I was fine.

"Alejandro, you're awake. Come here, Son, sit with us. I also want you to meet your Tito Reynaldo's daughter."

Despite my nerves, I turned to the man who had just arrived. My throat went dry as I saw his eyes scanning me. He sat directly in front of me, and I could feel the tension between us.

"This is Alyana Briele Morcaida, Daughter of your Uncle Rey. She's turning 18 this coming August."

"And Alyana, this is Alejandro Deyve Salvatore. He's five years older than you. Call him Brother, Anak."

His jaw tightened slightly, and he didn't break eye contact with me.

"I'm pleased to meet you, Brother Alejandro," I said, noticing his veined hands clenched into fists, his jaw tensing even more, and his expression darkening. I averted my gaze.

We started eating, but I could still feel his intense gaze on me. I was uneasy and uncomfortable in his presence.

"By the way, Alyana, Anak, what time are you leaving?" I looked up, avoiding eye contact with Brother Alejandro.

My seatmate cleared her throat, "Later at 1, Tito. We'll use my car."

I wasn't sure, but it felt like the tension in the air changed. It grew heavier.

"Sweetheart, have you forgotten that your bodyguard is going with you?"

"Argh, fine. We'll use your van, blah, blah, blah. Daddy, you're so persistent."

Blythe took my right hand and raised it, then did the same with her own, "We promise, Tito and Daddy. We'll come back early and won't stay out late. I will never put Alyana in danger, cross my heart."

"Tsk," Brother Alejandro stood up abruptly, making us both look at him. "I'm done."

"What's wrong with that guy? He's such a weirdo. Psh!"

"Here, wear this," Blythe handed me the white dress she was holding.

I hesitated as I looked at it. "Uh, Blythe, maybe something else. I don't usually wear things like this."

"Oh, come on, pretty babe, don't be such a killjoy, okay?"

I took the dress and examined it. It was beautiful, a bit short but not too short. There was also a slit at the chest, and if I wore it, my cleavage would definitely show.

"Does this suit me?"

"Of course, I'm pretty sure," she answered enthusiastically.

I sighed and decided to go into the bathroom to try on the dress.

When I finished, I came out immediately, feeling shy as Blythe stared at me with her mouth slightly open.

"Oh my, it suits you so well! See?"

"Your mouth, a fly might get in," I teased. She quickly closed her mouth and gave me a look.

"There are no flies in here." Her gaze shifted downward to my body, "You're really that gifted."

"Do I look okay? I'm not used to wearing something like this."

"It really suits you. Stop complaining. Are you going to hide your beauty forever?" she lectured, making me pout.

"No."

I'm just not comfortable.

"That's what I thought," she turned her back to me and took something from my bedroom cabinet. The room was already furnished before my father and I arrived. There were various kinds of dresses and clothes, a complete set of makeup, and even accessories. Nanay Lora said that Don had prepared everything for our move here.

"What's that?" I asked when she showed me what she was holding. I knew what it was, but I was still hesitant.

"Heels."

"Am I supposed to wear them?"

"Do you think they're for eating?"

I frowned, "Come on, Blythe."

"What? Mine are even higher. Look."

Her heels were indeed higher, while mine were just right. I was worried that my feet might hurt if I wore them. I know how to walk in heels, but my feet aren't used to them.

"Don't worry, pretty babe, I've got you!"

I had no choice but to put them on. She started fixing me up, putting a little makeup on my face and making me wear earrings and a necklace. They were white and sparkled like diamonds. She also brushed my long hair and left it loose.
